thank you for allowing people to vent their frustrations or discuss whats been happening in your inbox, a lot of qsmpblr from what ive seen wants to ignore anything besides brightest side outlooks and they shove everything else down by labelling things like the spreading of the latest updates as "doomposting".

i personally havent seen any actual doomposting (expecting the worst possible scenario, ex. "the server is over and will never come back") from anywhere besides a small handful of people who hate quackity on twitter, the closest i can find here is sentiments like "yeah i dont know if ill be back to actively watching every day even if everything is fixed" or "im so disillusioned at this point that im not coming back until we get concrete proof things are better" where its people personally deciding to (often temporarily) leave the fandom, not any actual doomposting or discouraging anyone to still follow the server because "theres no chance anything will ever be fixed".

so yeah, thank you for allowing stuff besides the most positive of takes in your askbox <3 im too scared to post stuff on my own because of the toxicly positive mindset on qsmpblr, so being able to vent my frustrations in your askbox really helps!

Tbh I don’t blame people who are complaining about what they see as « doomposting ». When you love something you don’t want to wake up every morning learning about another set of bad news on it, instead you want to believe that everything will be fixed and that you will soon be able to enjoy it like you used to.

However the situation IS bad. People are talking about negative things because they ARE happening. And it isn’t just some random drama like this is a situation that affected negatively on people, could even be considered breaching some laws and, also, be the end of the project. I don’t like saying that, obviously, but it’s the truth.

Saying it’s joever already won’t do any good but so will blindly hoping that things will be better. Tbh I’m happy that I haven’t seen much of both of these takes except from the extreme sides of the fandom (out of all the anons I got since it started very few were extremely negative, no hate to them btw feel free to vent in my askbox i just chose not to post them).

People can stop watching qsmp altogether, or just keeping to their fav ccs streams, some can chose to keep watching like they did before for X reasons, others are straight up leaving the fandom, it’s all fine, we just need to understand everyone’s perspective without jumping to judgement.

Side note : One thing I won’t tolerate here is hate on the admins who spoke up though (this + the usual assholery aka random hating, bigotry etc)

Personally I haven’t watched a qsmp stream since the situation was exposed but thats just because I don’t want to support the project rn and can’t enjoy the content knowing what we now know. That’s just me though !

You saying that Yves is a expy of Leveret is so interesting because the way I see them, while their appearances and some of their mannerisms and styles are similar, I find their personalities kind of different (I know we only have one part of Bunny but still)

For example, I find that Leveret isn’t as tactful as Yves, like when he blurted out the readers name without them telling him what their name was, something that I can’t imagine Yves doing with the amount of preparations he does. I also get the vibe that Leveret may be way more spontaneous with touch and affection as compared to Yves always needing things to be on a schedule and at a given time.

Okay sorry it took so long to get to this 😭 because I have so many and can’t decide which are my favourite so I’m just gonna rapid fire headcanons and thoughts right now. I’m basing this all off of the fact that she’s only ever described as stubborn and wilful and stuff like that. Dunk and Egg story featuring Betha come soon please I need more of her. I won’t even complain if it disproves every single headcanon I have of her. I just need her severely.

I think both her and Egg are shorter than average. Short mean people. Love them.

In terms of the kids, Rhaelle takes after her mother the most, appearance wise (Daeron is second in terms of most like Betha, though I like to imagine that he’s like Egg personality wise). She’s also a mommy and daddy’s girl. She’d be a grown woman and Betha and Egg would still call her their little baby. Unproblematic queen btw.

She and Egg both run circles around Dunk. First he had to deal with Egg and now he has to deal with a second Egg. Betha Rohanne blah blah blah stubborn wilful women blah blah blah ‘egg don’t mess with that girl or you’ll end up almost drowning in a stream’.

Her and Egg’s sisters are the best of friends. They’re always hanging out and gossiping somewhere. She knows all of the worst stories of her husband from those two. Rhae and Betha are especially close, but that’s also because I hate female romantic rivals tropes and Egg also hates the idea of his sister wanting to marry him. George please rid of us incest for at least one generation. The Aerion story and love potion story was enough. Give Egg a break please.

I feel like she’s more of the strict parent of the two. Egg seems to hold a lot of resentment towards his children’s decisions but feels that he’s been backed into a corner and can’t do anything about it. Betha is technically in the same position but I feel like she’d certainly make it verbally known to her kids that they fucked up big time. Not that Egg wouldn’t, but she does it more. Maybe toss a slipper at Duncan when he gets a little too mouthy. Like let’s be real most of her kids make some pretty shitty decisions that really end up fucking Egg over. Let Betha be a little mean for a little bit.

Nonetheless, I’d say Jenny grows on her. Egg isn’t a hateful person, so I feel like Betha wouldn’t be either. Even if accepting Jenny is difficult for the both of them at first. In fact, I’d like to imagine that she tries to warn Jenny away from Duncan by telling her all of the embarrassing and annoying things this man has done ever since he was born. “I’ve had to deal with all of this shit, are you willing to deal with it?” Jenny says yes.

Betha’s the more dominant of the two. At social gatherings she’s always standing in front of Egg, she’s always speaking louder than him, and she’s just overall more of a recognizable figure. This changes a bit when Egg becomes king, since obviously they need to watch how they behave in public, but before he was king it was super obvious to anyone. But if you’re close to them after they become monarchs, it’s still obvious that their dynamic hadn’t changed.

Another (I know, I am so original, aren’t I?) TMNT Fandom(s) Rant

Author’s Note:

Alright, I had been really, really hesitant to post this, because I honestly feel like I have done too many of these (even though I have only like, done some posts and rb’s on this kind of stuff.  And usually spaced apart too, but whatever), and because some of the stuff I am saying, I see even creators that I like sometimes say, and I don’t want to seem like I am mad and that kind of stuff at them.  Even with creators I like less or I am more neutral towards, I don’t want to seem mad at them or too mean and stuff like that, you know?  

But I came to the decision to just post this.  Largely because I just really feel the need to say this, and because someone I know on here helped me give the courage to go ahead and post this.  Thank you that person a lot btw!

Alright, now that my AN is done and out of the way, let’s get to more of the actual contents of the post itself.  Starting now:

Like, I can not fathom, how people complain about the Rise turtles being nerfed, and will hold up certain fics/comics/whatever and say they love those fics/comics/whatever because they don’t nerf Rise, but usually/most of the time, those same comics or whatever that supposedly nerf Rise, will nerf the other version instead (usually 2012.  Though sometimes other versions like 2003).

So nerfing u hate when it is done to Rise, but other versions, it is a-ok!, to nerf them!  Wow okay, just wow.

And on the topic of Rise being nerfed, I won’t say it never happens, it does.  But I honestly don’t see that much myself.

And I honestly, at this point, I more so see Rise getting so hyped up to (sometimes) ridiculous amounts, than I see them getting nerfed.

Rise are better, stronger, smarter, more amazing and awesome TMNT (and not just in ability/powers/strength/etc., but character and/or etc. too).  They are also more violent and scary when they snap.  And/or could be more scary when they get violent and/or snap.  And I am not saying they couldn’t and/or wouldn’t be so.  But that is REALLY downplaying other versions when you say stuff like that. Like, some of the other versions can be so violent and murderous and completely terrifying when they snap (and/or you just know they would be utterly terrifying if they completely snap) too.  

Moving back to what I was saying before/earlier, not only are they better and everything I say above in the beginning of the last paragraph.  But they can also beat any other version no matter what in anything basically.  Because like, the TMNT Fandom(s) (or at least some parts of it/them) has now became the Shonen fandom where we argue about what, for example, our usually favorite person or group of ours can beat another person or group or whatever.  This coming from someone who actually likes Shonen.  But God, do I find power scaling, and “x can and/or can’t beat x” arguments to very annoying, stupid, and pointless most of the time, and usually just detracting from actually just talking about story, or character, or themes, or/& etc.  And they are just tiring honestly.

Putting the rest under a cut, because this post gets long/is getting long, and some of the stuff below is the stuff that was making me worried about posting this.  So I am putting this under a “read more” cut due to long, and in case people don’t want to read some of the (other) stuff I have to say here.

Seriously, I have literally seen posts and stuff, that basically say and/or imply that Rise are just BETTER than their other versions.

Which in turn, usually puts down both the talents of previous versions (i.e. for example.  And this is just an example really, but it valid in most points.  Leo and/or Raph’s own (innate) talents will be downplayed, and people will act like they don’t have their own talents instead are just the muscle and/or use their (strong) emotions to help them maybe win, in the case of Raph (which, nothing wrong with this actually at all), or Leo isn’t talented and strong in his own right, and only gets all of his skills and strength through hard-work and experience (which, there is nothing wrong with that.  Some of the strongest and best people in the world in their own fields and/or etc., got where they were through mainly/a lot through hard-work and experience (even if some of these people were talented, they almost certainly, most of the time, wouldn't become the best, without actually trying and through hard work and experience).  

And honestly, the amount of downplaying some people do.  Not all, there are people who really respect hard-work and experience in this fandom and/or in general.  And/or they are people that think characters or whatever or even cooler and/or better because they they work hard and/or etc. and become (even more) awesome.  But the amount of people that downplay hard-work, experiences, learning through example, and all that is kind of sad.  

It is like some people only care about (innate) talents (which, I am not saying are’t cool and awesome stuff too, but like, still) and not any of that.  Or, and again basically, don’t think that even people that have (innate) talents still need to you know train and to learn and all that?  You don’t (most of the time) become a master without experience and hard work.  Even if you are talented), which in reality, all the turtles (and Casey, April, Karai, splinter, etc.) are a combination of both talents and hard-work and experiences imo.) and skills and strengths and experiences and even just their general character and personality and development.

And I am just like ?????? to (all) that.

I find all/some of that stuff I mentioned above (esp. the development stuff and/or etc.) funny, considering, saying that kind of stuff/some of that stuff, not only undermines other versions and other versions of characters and their characterization and development, but also (imo) Rise’s characterization and development, because it almost seems like you think they have less flaws as people and stuff than other versions (which, I don’t think actually think is true.  I think all the versions basically have both flaws and strengths as people), and that they don’t go through development/don’t need development/need less development than other versions (which again, I don’t think is true.  I think like other versions, Rise needs and goes through development and goes through their own awesome development like the other versions).  

I  mostly bring up characterization here too, since sometimes (not always), characterization and development can go hand-in-hand.  Anyways yeah, when some of you say this kind of stuff, I wonder if you/they realize that they are also, in a way, kind of undermining Rise’s characterization and development too; along with the other versions.

Back on the whole “Rise is better” thing.

So like, I do see characters like Rise Leo to basically be everything (all the Leos) that has come before him, for example.

Which I love.

However, that doesn’t mean he is better.  He wouldn’t exist, if not for the previous Leos, for the previous versions (and sometimes even current Leos and versions and their characters if you include IDW, which I do) and their characters.

Seriously, it almost seems like, and pardon my language, a pissing race.  Instead of respecting and honoring the other versions, some people (seem to) instead act/talk like Rise are just stronger, most powerful, more skilled, and all around just better in every way (including their actual characters when I say in this like I have said previously and not just powers, skills, and all that).

And this all not even in taking into account genres.  For examples:  2012 is more dramatic and serious, Rise is more comedic and light-heartened (not saying 2012 or Rise can’t be the other.  Or have more genres in them.  They can and do.  I am just talking overall).  Nothing wrong with either of those things.  They are both great though.  But different genres, are also important to take into account when you try to compare the different versions (in all way different ways).  Though, I try not to do that, unless it is more positively/in positive ways.  And because they are all great in their own rights.  I find comparisons a lot of the times (not just with TMNT) to not always be the best thing to do, but that is just imo.

Anyways, that is all I have to say about genres for now (at least, until I can figure out a way to word what I am trying to say there better.  I am still working on that).

Seriously though, I am getting so tired of all this.

I love both 2012 and Rise (and basically most/all the TMNT versions basically) so much; they are both a couple of my favorites.

But this kind of stuff is just getting out of hand.  Imo.

This is another one I’ve been seriously considering writing after my current fic is done, it’s kinda a high fantasy omegaverse thing?

Less about heats/ruts more about giving Steve a Mulan moment lol.

In this one Steve is the oldest prince of the the glorious __ empire. He has always been assumed to be an alpha, but he was a super late bloomer and didn’t present until he’s 18-20

Nancy and Mike are his younger half-siblings (no romance ever with stancy in this one. More sibling/ascension politics.) Steve and Nancy don’t really get along. Once they were close, even friends, but Nancy’s ambition for the throne has put a damper on it.

Background, there is a war going on with the barbaric people of the west, who have teamed up with the last of an ancient race of monsters that were vanquished by The Gods of Light decades ago.

There is a lot of lore in this idea I won’t get into here.

Unfortunately for Steve, when he does present finally, he presents as an omega. This means he will be expected to mate with Duke Hargrove’s son, in order to secure their loyalty and armies. He isn’t eager, given he knows Billy’s character. And if Billy is on the throne (which he would be) then the people would suffer. But they can’t afford to jeopardize their goodwill.

However, his advisor (Murray) offers him a way out. If Steve joined the war before an engagement offer is made and dies, then the Hargrove’s will have nothing to complain about. Nancy will be able to take the throne when the time comes and she will be a much better ruler.

Murray says Steve doesn’t even have to actually die. Just put the royal seal on a dead body.

Btw it is possible to pretend to be an omega in battle where no one is looking for it, than as a noble where people ARE looking for it, and have eyes for details.

So Steve decided to join the war and die a hero rather than fail his country by marrying Billy. He won’t let another person die for him, he’s going to war as a common soldier

However, war is messy. At one point, the army attacks a barbarian village and everyone is given orders to let none survive. But Steve can’t do that, and he fights another soldier in order to allow a mother and her child escape.

He faces punishment and is ripped of all his clothes but his underwear, whipped, and left tied to a stake for the whole time the army is camped there.

But THEN the barbarian army comes to get revenge on the soldiers for destroying the village, and all the soldiers in Steve’s company are killed.

The 2nd in command (effectively the general) is actually the husband of the woman Steve saved (surprise it’s hopper and Joyce)

So they actually spare steve as long as he joins their army.

The 1st in command is against this initially. He is one of the monstrous people and he hates everyone in Steve’s country for the horrors they wrought against his people. He hates Steve and wants him gone. But Hopper convinces him to let Steve stay.

Steve ends up teaching the youngest soldiers to fight (Dustin, max dressed up as a boy, Lucas, Ericka dressed up as a boy, etc).

Things are complicated when Mike arrives with his wizard friend and servant, looking for his brother.

And then again as Steve and the 1st in command (it’s Eddie of course it’s Eddie) begin to become closer.

Steve isn’t sure who’s on the right side and who’s not. As stuff progresses, he becomes increasingly more conflicted.

Eddie isn’t anything like the monster he was raised to believe, and Steve’s country has secrets they’re not telling anyone about.

In the end, will he choose to follow his heart or his family?

And does he even have a choice at all?

Yeah so pretty much I’m going have to decide between this one and the other idea…as you can see, I’m definitely in a high fantasy mood lol. It’s tough!! I love both ideas so much 😭 let me know what you guys think so I can decide!

You Just opened a fucking can of worms my guy oh my god I cannot stress how much I both love and downright hate what they did to him.

LONG ASS ESSAY UNDER THE READMORE but here’s the TLDR

The love is easy because truthfully there is nothing that says that this clutch is the same as the movie and even if he’s not he’s fine. I like to think he’s one where the movie didn’t happen and he just ran off to ninjago for god knows why but ANYWAY it’s a take on a character that was referenced all the way in S1 and has been out of the public eye for 10 years and just. Appears out of fucking no where. He’s just there and that is the funniest fucking think in the world to me. ALSO THE WAY HE IS JUST A PUNCHING BAG FOR THR WRITERS he’s constantly killed, exploded, thrown around, made a joke etc is so. Goddamn funny to me. They hate him for no reason and it’s so funny. And surprise! That’s also why I hate him!

Maybe I’m reading too much into what they “”wanted to do with him” but I see him as a ronin replacement. Ronins been MIA for 70 years so they want another character to essentially take his place. that might be a stretch but in crystallized Ronin very much takes over while clutch powers is tossed to the side. After it’s revealed that ronin is the one who’s been stealing from the islanders clutch magically just vanishes.(SPOILERS) He doesn’t even have a speaking line AT ALL during crystallized, he isn’t at the monestary helping OR is shown in the crowd when Dareth brings to help. You know who is tho? That fucking sheriff that came out of no where that looks like him. which fine clutch isn’t a major character anyway but neither is that stupid ass sheriff why is he even helping at the monastery IT BAFFLES ME (END SPOILERS)

While I think the way they treat him is funny I also hate it. If crystallized is supposed to be the end think about what they did with him. He was brought into ninjago to barely be used, forgot he was an explorer before they throw in a line that he claims to be one for people complaining (me), and adventure he’s been on he does. Nothing, the only Plot importance he had was stealing the storm gem or whatever it was but it gets taken from him so he looses that, and in crystallized (SPOILERS) I genuinely thought the Zane disguise malfunction was the last time we were going to see him. And even tho it wasn’t I would have laughed out of rage because come on that would have been so fucking funny. He’s also in the resistance camp NOT DOING ANYTHING like not even have him fight with misako and wu over that stupid paper LIKE THEY CANT IMPLY HE WAS THE FIRST ONE TO FIND THAT PLACE WHERE VANIA LIVES, THE SCROLL PLACE IN THE SKY, AND THE FANG BLADE, AND THEN HAVE HIM JUST. NOT DO ANYTHING IN THE SHOW. (END SPOILERS) I swear to god for like 3-4 seasons straight THEY START WITH HIM GETTING “”KILLED”” ITS LIKE come on. Why do you hate him. Why bring him in if you’re just going to throw him around like a rag doll and do nothing??

Why even lump him in with the villains that are allowed to be summon by unagami if he can’t even be considered one and that’s another thing too he can’t really be considered anything other than a side character that’s just There. That’s why I wish he was evil, or just playing stupid for the attention, ANYTHING would have been better than him just being tossed aside. for example they say vania is a fan right? Have him exiting the palace while the ninja enter and have her geeking out. Have him trying to keep his image in check, he should be treated as a micro celeb with a STRONG fan base so that something like that could be played out!!! I understand most people don’t understand how pharmacies work. I don’t think corporations adding in things like drive thrus has helped retail pharmacy’s image either. But holy shit, this video (and especially the comments) fucking infuriate me

First off, I want everyone to know, a pharmacist has the 100% legal right to not fill your prescription for any reason. Now, normally when there is an issue with the prescription, the pharmacist will attempt to contract the prescriber to have something fixed, changed, clarified, etc. Rarely will a pharmacist ever outright refuse a prescription. I’ve seen it happen only a few times- and those few times came with good reasons. Remember, this is their license on the line. If they were to allow a prescription to get filled that could hurt or even kill you, and something did happen to you, then legal authorities come back at the pharmacist first for allowing it to be dispensed. I hate seeing comments like “this is between me and my doctor!!”. Your pharmacist knows more about medications and drug interactions than your prescriber. Your pharmacist is a healthcare professional. For the love of god they’re not fucking fast food workers that stand around and approve every medication they see.

Second, also in response to the comments, if you’re gonna complain about HIPAA, you better at least spell it right. It isn’t “HIPPA” 🙄. Anyway, yes a pharmacist can ask you any medical question they’d like. I can ask you any question I’d like as a pharmacy tech! I just can’t take your medical information and just tell the next random person in line. That is what HIPAA is. We’ve had a woman complain in the pharmacy that asking for her birthday- which is how we look up your medication in the first place- is a violation of HIPAA. It’s fucking not.

In response to the video- no one refused to fill the prescription. What most likely happened is this: Mounjaro is currently only FDA approved for type 2 diabetes. Not weight loss. Insurance rarely covers Mounjaro anyway. Won’t cover it at all for weight loss. There is a manufacturer discount card that can bring it down to $25 (this has changed). In order to bill the discount card, it basically needs to be billed thru insurance first, then be rejected, then billed thru the discount card which would usually bring it to the $25. They changed this for the new cards. Because of auditing, it now only covers the prescription if there is a type 2 diagnosis on the prescription. It will not cover it without it. So what probably happened is that the pharmacist tried to contact the prescriber for a diagnosis when the discount card didn’t go through, the provider didn’t get back to them, so they’re asking the patient (which they can legally do!) if they are using it for weight loss or diabetes. If course, a chain retail pharmacy can fill it for cash, if you’re willing to pay over $1000 out of pocket for it. Which I doubt the patient being mentioned in this video wanted to do. I specify chain pharmacy btw, because an independent might out right refuse to fill it solely based on profit alone. What if they order in Mounjaro, which has a huge cost, and you say you’ll pick it up for cash, but you never do? Now that pharmacy is out major $$$. Not as big of a deal for chain pharmacies, but it can hurt an independent. At the end of the day though, it wasn’t a refusal to fill, it just wasn’t covered and the patient didn’t want it. I’m sure had this woman just called and asked the pharmacist would’ve told her that. 

I do have 1 final point though. I’d like to point out this woman is a NP- Nurse Practitioner- and NOT a doctor. I know a lot of people don’t know the difference between PA/NPs and actual doctors, but I can’t emphasize enough that while she can diagnose and treat, she did NOT go to an actual medical school a doctor went to. Looking at her profile, she works at a place called “Lotus Healthcare and Aesthetics”, which while they say they offer physicals and vaccinations… it seems to me they focus heavily on “beauty and aesthetics” such as spray tanning and lash extensions…. Ya know, real medically important shit. If you wanna learn more about this shit just look over at r/Noctor and you’ll see what I mean

I’m not shocked this woman doesn’t know shit about pharmacies. But she spreads a message that I have to deal with every day at work. Pharmacies, as a whole, are not your enemy. Drug manufacturers and insurance companies will cause most of your headaches. Corporations that overwork and underpay both the pharmacists and techs are also the problem too. (Look, I’m not saying there aren’t shit pharmacists and you can’t have a bad experience. I’ve met awful pharmacists and techs. But most people I’ve met truly care about their work and their patients).

Schlatt sets a bundle of floura between them, as if to slide over a contract or present something that could change a nation's standing. Veiny hands clasp over one another, gold rings clinking and black nails settling against a tanned canvas. Knees spread, Jay doesn't bother to create a fancy platter or ornate decoration for a fine man such as Dream. No, Schlatt had a reputation for his blunt and rather disrespectful way of complimenting others.

Complimenting? This was a compliment? Belladonna encased the offering, purple petals weeping over the sides of twine, followed shortly by the delft blue of hyacinths to compliment their tone. Yellow Rhododendron fluff up with their partnered and curled Sycamore leaves. Compliments. Dream was a dangerous man, Schlatt knew that good and well. Dangerous but ever so intriguing. He liked people who knew what they wanted, after all.

Strangely enough, there's not a single rotten spot on any of this bouquet, and each stem was neatly treated and cut at the right angle to last for long past this secret rendezvous. He took time to make this. Hopefully it wasn't a waste of time to learn some frilly flower language just to get this weirdo to understand more than riddles.

Dream’s prepared for this meeting. Schlatt raises an eyebrow in challenge, but Dream’s ready for whatever gets thrown his way. Schlatt will hand off sensitive information. He'll give Dream intel that, in his mind, will encourage favorable action. Probably against Wilbur, but that’s fair. Dream won’t argue, or complain, or cause a scene. He’ll take whatever leverage he can get as well, even if it comes from Schlatt’s lips. And—

…And the more Schlatt talks, the more confused Dream grows. It’s not until a bouquet rests before him that he reaches a conclusion.

This isn’t what he thought it’d be.

“Flowers?” he scoffs, incredulous, though it holds half the bite he’s known for. Even he can’t tell if he’s amused or dumbfounded. He stares down at the arrangement, chin raised appraisingly. Flowers, indeed. Pretty ones. They contrast the drab office space beautifully, a beacon under buzzed lights.

Yet, despite his efforts, he struggles to connect Schlatt to the bouquet. Only when the man leans back does he settle. Pride goes hand-in-hand with this blunt display. It’s not quite sentimental, but it is more than Dream bargained for.

It took time, too. Dream might not know the language of every flower, but meaning bleeds from their petals. There’s consideration spun in their twine enclosure, too, visible under layers of trimmed greenery. Consideration. From Schlatt. He hates how scrambled his mind has become.

“Seriously?” Dream asks as he sews together rationale. Rather than snicker, he croons. “Aw. You shouldn’t have.” Small-talk. He’d prefer to know what brought this on. Dissecting Schlatt’s goals has always been a hellish feat, but it’s even tougher when he doesn’t know what game they’re playing.

Lithe fingers lift the bouquet. A twist and turn guides his gaze across every delicate blossom. “I didn’t take you for the flower-giving type,” he says, lowering it from his line of sight. “Or am I just special?” There has to be more to it than a gift, right? Unless… Unless there isn’t. Maybe it’s meant to be taken at face value: a simple little compliment.

He can appreciate that.

(If he wastes his afternoon with his nose deep in gardening books, however… no one’s the wiser.)
