controversial take: What if Pete did just adopt the name Ben?
I know it’s avoided because of it being a painful reminder of Uncle Ben (and in his case Ben Urich) but I kinda like it. 1) because I’m amused by the fact of him being an already hard to approach and off putting spider in the spider society. So going by Ben would automatically make the other Peters kinda wary (for their own mental sake lol). But also cause 2) it’s a very jewish thing to do
there’s a really big tradition for ashkenazi jews to name someone after a deceased loved one/relative. It’s supposed to foster the deceased person’s good traits in the child and to keep their memory alive. It’s big on honoring and commemoration and all that. Sort of like ‘their soul lives on’ type thing.
Ofc this applies to any Ben variant, benny/benji/benj/benjamin/etc, so this still works regardless if he goes by Ben or not. It’s all a nice gesture. But also I feel like noir Peter wouldn’t be opposed to the sting of loss he’d get every time someone said his late loved ones names. He’s morbid and self-hating like that

Hello, hope you're having a good day/night
I was wondering if I could request the spiderverse characters (Miguel, Hobbie, Noir) meeting and reacting to male spider reader who abnormal tall (like 7 foot kinda abnormal) and morally grey for instance will kill if it means that it could be beneficial rather than having the villain go to jail???
(Also who would end up falling for reader?)
FIRST ATSV REQ LETS GO
I made Miguel so submissive and breedable real lmfaooo. Also ignore how many HCs are in Noir’s, I’ve actually never written for him before lol. Oh and since it’s not extremely clear, Hobie’s is platonic
**I do not own any characters or part of the franchise from marvel or sony**
Summary: go to req
Tw: cussing, death, discussion of murder, stuff like that
~Miguel~
Color Miguel intimidated bcc oh my god
You’re taller than him. With his same morals. He’s fucking reeling
When you stand next to him he’ll cross his arms and puff out his chest
You’ll notice and be like “What’re you doing?” And he’ll act all ignorant like “hm? What? No I’m not doing anything…”
Once he gets over your sheer largeness he’ll become more comfortable and relaxed around you
He falls HARD and QUICK
Even doing missions with you becomes difficult for him, the first time he got choked up or distracted he immediately stopped doing any missions with you
It was like whiplash for you because you were doing all these high risk missions with Miguel regularly then he suddenly drops you with no explanation
You corner him one day and demand to know why he’s acting so weird
You literally corner him…
Standing over him and all angry
He’s feeling 5 different conflicting emotions all at once
He tried to web away from you and without thinking about it you grab him by his neck and shove him back against the wall
He whimpered. WHIMPERED.
You immediately know what’s up and laugh at him some then tell him you feel the same
And that’s how Miguel O’Hara got a shredded gigantic boyfriend
~Noir~
When he first glanced at you he couldn’t help but stare a bit.
I mean. DAMN. What’re they feeding you?
He couldn’t help but say something
“They make them big in your universe?”
The joke surprised you bcc a Spider-Man dressed in all black and a sick hat and coat just teased you.
You laugh some and respond.
“And they make ‘em cute in yours?”
He chokes some.
You smirk at him and introduce yourself
He collects himself quickly and introduces himself too
When you find out he’s from an older timeline
You can’t help but flirt a bit more
“Oh so I should take you to dinner first?” You say with a grin.
You came on so heavy he stayed silent for a bit, just blinking at you
He avoids you for a bit, not because he doesn’t like you or is weirded out. He’s just trying to learn how to respond to your flirting in a way that isn’t staring owlishly
You two are on a mission together and long story short the villain didn’t need to go back to his universe to restore the timeline and was beyond the standard villain evil
while he was fleeing from you two he flung a child into the air and let them drop, expecting them to distract the both of you
“Noir!” You yelled
“On it.” He immediately responded and caught the kid, taking them to safety and comforting them
When you caught the villain you couldn’t hold yourself back.
Needless to say Noir came back to find you covered in blood and dangerously quiet.
It was a sight to see and not one he’ll forget.
“If you’re gunna give me the whole ‘killing makes you as bad as them’ lecture you can save it. I don’t regret it now and I wont regret it ever.” You said firmly, still not meeting his gaze
He just walked over to you and rested a hand on your shoulder. “Good. You shouldn’t.” Was all he said. The return to the spider society was silent
There was a silent agreement between the two of you not to discuss that mission with anyone else. That it was something too personal, somehow.
A few weeks later he asks you out
“Do you want to go out for egg creams sometime?” He asked
“What the hell is an egg cream.”
It’s like the olive theory but with egg creams
He loves your size and secretly loves it when you rest your arm on his head/shoulder.
~Hobie~
He laughs when he sees you
“You been drinking your milk, mate?” He chuckled
You rolled your eyes at him.
You talk with him when you next see hi ma few days later
He just sort of appears around you and you don’t question it once so ever
Someone asks why you two are always seen together in a rude tone and Hobie just throws an arm around your shoulder and says “see this lad right here, he’s my best friend. We actually sleep in the same bed—“
You scoff at him and push his arm off
You know he’s being sarcastic and just trying to get the person to fuck off but calling you his best friend made something in your heart flutter
Protectiveness? Loyalty? Endearment? Who the hell knew.
All you know is from then on you started seeking him out more
You sort of became a older brother figure to him
You started checking in on him semi regularly
But one time he stopped responding and you hadn’t seen him for over a week
Obviously, you got worried
You decided to go visit his universe to see if something happened
When you got there your eyes were immediately violently assaulted with flashing images and constantly changing scenery
It threw you off mid-swing and you crashed to the ground
You had to shut your eyes so you wouldn’t get nauseous
Then you felt a hand on your shoulder and squint up to see Hobie who looked confused and concerned
He helps you back to his place and basically tosses you down on his beat up couch then asks why you’re there
You just grumble something about him not responding and not seeing anyone for over a week
He flops down next to you and lays his legs on your lap
“Aw you big bloke, you were worried ‘bout me.” He says smirking
You shove his legs off and stand up
“Don’t get used to it” you say with a grin

Hello how are you? 😊 ignore or delete this if you want but please could I request a Pavitr Prabhakar dating shy reader who’s from the same dimension as Miles and the adopted daughter of Peter Parker & Mj who’s a popular spider hero who had a blood transfusion along with venom blasts from her dad Peter and she’s friends with Hobie, Miles and Gwen. Like the 4 want to see and hang out her (dad) base more than her alternate dimension dad, Miguel O’Hara spider society Headquarters. https://pin.it/4BNq5eV
a/n: i can’t lie this request lowkey confused me so i had to leave some of it out FORGIVE ME ANON YOU’RE SO SWEET!!!! i put this in hc format bc i didn’t know how to make it a oneshot, but thank you for requesting, i hope this was okay!!!
Tumblr media
You originally lived in Miles's universe, 1610
You were orphaned at a young age, and had been fostered in various homes, not really being attached to very many places
Miles was your best friend, since you went to the same school together
A few days before Miles was bit, you were bitten as well
He confided in you, and you did the same, figuring out everything
When Peter B Parker came, you immediately bonded with him
You made fast friends with Gwen, Spider Noir, etc.
When the time came for them to leave, Peter offered you a place to stay and the possibility to be adopted by him and MJ
You didn't have much keeping you in your current reality, so you accepted
It took you a while to warm up to your new parents, but you but after a while you couldn't be happier
There was a lot of speculation into who the new Spiderwoman was
You and Peter were an absolute unit
He helped you learn to control the bio-electricity and to channel it, making you 'discover' venom blasts
Since Peter was already friends with Miguel, you were already sort of updated on the situation with Spider-Society
When Miguel started to recruit more people your age, Peter decided to introduce you to him, and you started to become more involved
Reuniting with Miles and Gwen was one of the best moments you'd had for a while
They introduced you to Hobie, who you really got along well with
And Pavitr, who was newer like you
He was the main person you bonded with, as you had quite a bit in common with him
Through a few months, you completely fell for him
When you couldn’t take it any more, you confided in Gwen
Who of course went straight to Pavitr, but she meant well don’t worry
Because a few days before, he came to her with the exact same confession
She knew how shy you were, and to be honest Pavitr wasn’t very bold either
So Gwen felt her only option was to tell you both, and hope you got together in your own time
Which of course worked, as you both got together a few days later
Mostly, the five of you hung out at your (adopted) dads place
His base wasn’t really the largest, but it was nicer then Miguels
You all either got up to the weirdest shit or do nothing at all lmao

What gets me is all the ocs that ive seen come out of atsv are spidersonas, but all villians are also up for grabs as Ocs as they also exsist in the multiverse, why limit yourself to just spiderpeople! Introducing:
Octo!
Tumblr media
Octo is the 15 year old child variant of doc ock, belonging in a steampunk universe, raised by her scientist parents and worked for King pin alongside her parents, occasionally being tested on, designing and building the tentacles. One day she overheard her parents and kingpin talking about evil plans and using them, about what they planned to do octo and how to manipulate them, ther rebelled and became a hero.
Their experiments led to them falling through a portal that landed them in spider society, and although not a spiderman, they were let in as long as they are good because "a hero is a hero, and if you are good enough to get here, you are good enough to stay"
Their universe is mainly brown, silver, gold and a lil bit of greed no the first time they saw hobie they thought they werehaving an eye malfunction (robotic eyes)
Bestfriends with: hobie, pavitr, miles, peter B, spider cat, lyla, and spider noir
Absolutely loves splatoon, aerospray rg/flingza roller main.
Their octoling looks like this:

So I'm typing up answers for the OC x Hobie questionnaire post that you typed up and I was gonna make a personal post about this plot point that fixed itself in my mind but I feel like you need to personally know how much you've ruined me 😭
So I'm trying to figure out how long Ansi and Hobie have known each other since she's only been a spider for less than 5 years and in the society for like 2. So how did they come to have such a close emotional bond where they have such a strong sense of trust and loyalty towards one another that I can only compare to skk from bungo stray dogs in just 2 years????
At first I was like what if they knew one another just like a year before or something. And then Ansi was like, "Oh we've known each other for longer than that actually."
Tumblr media
EXCUSE ME
Wdym y'all have known each other for longer than that?
So apparently back when Ansi was like 8 her father had accidentally figured out how to open up the way for interdimensional travel (he's just kooky like that) and a young boy (Hobie) had accidentally gotten sucked through into their world. He had to stay with them for a good 2 and a half years before her father figured out how to send him back. (Either the glitching doesn't exist or her father figured out how to stop it.)
So when Hobie and Diane came to visit that one time Ansi had a shaking feeling that it was him. But he didn't wanna get his hopes up especially with what was going on in her world at the time. BUT IT WAS HIM. And the reunion they had CHILE THAT REUNION WAS HEARTBREAKING. After joining the society they reconnect and head in hands, WHERE DID THIS COME FROM
I think she's lying to me tho but who knows. (Your father is a genius of his time but the multiverse? Really? But wait, that'd explain why Alchemax was out to get him and....OH MY GOD)
I hope he isn't lying through because that means I just cried over nothing.
(I'm not adding this to her story.....maybe idek. I got so emotionally invested just typing up this ask. *Cough* anyways I just needed to let you know the insan- I mean the ideas that have awakened. I'm only on the 2nd section of the questionnaire and I'm terrified of what's gonna pop up in my brain next 😭)
I'm having a crisis. I hope you're happy with yourself 🥲
Ansi, Diane, Hobie, Bonding, and the Web of the Multiverse
[Screaming about my neurodivergent paracosm and how it syncs up with a mutal - and how the logic of the multiverse backs up/affects their stories] [This post is largely about Disco-Spider Diane and @spidey-bie's Ansi] THIS ASK IS SUCH A AHHHHHHAHAHHH BECAUSE AHHHHH SO MANY THINGS INTO THIS I HAVE TO-
ITS SO HARD TO ANSWER BECAUSE HOBIE IS IMMEDIATELY LIKE 'CAN I SAY SOMETHING' SHUT UP YOU CAN SPEAK AT THE END
The background Ansi gives you and the logic of what Hobie and Diane just did CONNECTS - like it all connects (Sorry this is lone)
And I'm SOOOOO SOOOO intrigued for their background. I plan to write a full post about this and explain fully what clusters are, how maps work, the function of bonding and how they work -
But this is how I 'learned' about all these things
I was interested in how certain universes would look if the multiverse was based on a flowchart like system to make a web - so I made a map of the multiverse based on attributes like style, time, and where they live -
AND FROM MY CALCULATIONS - NO JOKE - Ansi's universe would be the closest universes because he and Hobie share a cluster.
I explain like the logic of it in the post I'm finishing up BUT Ansi and Noir would border Hobie's in this map - and the closer universes are the more stable the transfer between them is.
SO WITH THE MAP HOBIE COULDVE REASONABLY FELL INTO ANSI'S UNIVERSE
AND WAIT THERES MORE - I was finishing up the Multiversal Map and realized Hobie and Diane were having a really good day at the boathouse
And then they introduced me to a whole new concept that we directly see in ATSV - Bonding
Multiversal Bonding -
[A long ass rant where I explain something wild Hobie and Diane just did in my head - and how it directly explains HOW Hobie fell into Ansi's universe too]
Diane and Hobie were doing their thing and then suddenly they shared a moment of this intense like...vibe, mental space idk
And afterwards they're like "oh yeah that happens because we're Bonded. Like Universe Bonded"
And I'm like WHAT WHAT IS THAT??? WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT
and this is where it goes wild...
Diane is like 'I...don't know. Something just happened what happened.'
What do you mean you don't know? I'm asking her to describe it and she's like 'umm errr' and Hobie isn't saying anything he's all dreamlike
Now all of this is happening directly after ATSV like an hour or two after they get everyone and head to Hobie's universe. - Gwen and the others are at the boathouse
Then Peter B. starts talking.... HUH??? Excuse me?
Hobie genuinely stopped and was like "wait how r u here, like in roman's head how are you here' like he's actually stunned. I DIDN'T know he could manifest in the boathouse
And Peter B. is the only one who knows what this term means. He had to explain it to me before I understood what they were doing
Peter B looks at Diane and Hobie and goes "........like Miles and Gwen?? How Gwen can feel Miles' spider-sense? Bonded'
Gwen is like 'ME AND MILES ARE BONDED????'
And Diane is like...we what now, i did what to the multiverse what does that mean
Peter has to explain the concept.
Miguel knew about bonding, and that two spider-people of close universes can 'Bond', and for a part-neurological, part-social link between the two of them.
This happened with Miguel and his partner Moche - and Miguel outright rejected it. As he's against Spider-people being together, and he believed Moche was better off with someone else
(he was actually just scared to accidentally kill her like he did gabriella but thats neither here nor there)
He instead chose to withhold the information of Bonding from the Society, and watched for it closely.
Only he, Peter, and Jess knew bonding was possible - and that's why Jess was SO against Hobie and Diane.
And everything just kinda clicked for Diane how brainwashed the society had made her cause for YEARS she was told having feeling for Hobie was wrong and NOT possible
But now that she's left The Society by her own choice, it was the last hurdle for them to finally be fully bonded.
SO NOW THERES THIS WHOLE NEW CONCEPT AND ASPECT TO THEIR 'RELATIONSHIP' AND IT AFFECTS SO MUCH
Like they can sense each others location, react to each others spider sense, if one of their hearts starts racing the other will feel it too. Now Diane can use his guitar as a club in battle. IN HER WORLD Hobie LOOKS NORMAL - in his universe she looks like him - since they can just slide into each others universe easier. Diane is less likely to glitch out, she just needs to wear the watch for a short time each week so her DNA can reach baselevel again
AND WHEN THEY FIGHT TOGETHER THEY GET INTO THIS FLOW STATE And they can just fight in complete tandem with each other now
And it's like !!!! They just did that???? Suddenly. Like looked into each others eyes at an emotional moment
(Diane's first time seeing Hobie after leaving The Society - A rundown
Hobie asked her to come with him before leaving the society, she said no because she wanted to stay for Jess and Gwen - A VERY HARD moment for them. Hobie is really wounded by this.
- Gwen gets sent home - Diane swings on Jess - They put her in a cage and let out after six hours. - Diane went immediately to Hobie's old abandoned dorm room, finding out Hobie still left parts behind for her.
She figured out how to hack herself based on all the times she watched hobie in the workshop - but she cant do it because she's missing one part and she's so frustrated with herself -
Jess comes to apology for Miguel and gives Diane Hobie's watch, an older model - insists Diane take it - Diane over his old watch and finds out Hobie's watch has the finally part she leaves - she hacks her watch and finally leaves the society)
This happened the movement they reunited with each other on the bow of the boathouse
then it was like a switch like not bonded to BONDED and NONE of us knew what that mean until Peter B said anything
But more than anything ITS LIKE AFTER SO LONG THEY HAVE THE WORD TO DESCRIBE WHAT THEY ARE WHEN THEYD BEEN AVOIDING IT FOREVER
They can finally just say "We're bonded."
Because it's not a romantic thing, it's not like that AT ALL. It's like a mental clarity between them like their understanding and connection to each other is a lot more clear and they can feel the other's emotions more clearly (but there's a distinction. Diane knows when she's feeling Hobie's feelings. it's a subtle thing, not a total emotion)
So that from their prior relationship they're now a lot more frictionless, but unchanged if you get what I mean
Like now Hobie annoys Diane more - Diane is down and free to go full groupie mode theyre suddenly REALLY good at planning and fighting together, and having each others back
The kind to do conversations like "Did you-" "Yeah, were you gonna-" "I was but before I was gonna-" "Handle the other thing? Oh okay that makes since." Like not even finishing sentences but understanding conversations totally
I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT HAPPENED
About Bonding: (according to how Peter B explained it to me)
I explain it more in the multiverse post but basically its when two spiderpeople of nearby universes form a bond that at a certain point a switch is flipped -
since their dna's are so similar (being from close universes) it's easier for people of closer worlds - and people someone is BONDED to - to assimilate into the other's world, and feel their sensations.
This connection is almost permanent - though it goes dormant - and it can happen to anyone destined to be a spider-person. They don't have to be bitten yet.
Gwen and Miles are bonded, which is why she can feel his senses across universes.
And it's like a concept I never saw about the movie just became explained based on a totally unrelated situation Diane and Hobie had separately.
BUT ALL OF THIS IS TO SAY - Ansi & Hobie
Using this logic (I came up with at 5am while on a coffee binge) - Ansi's placement is CLOSER to Hobie's than Diane's is.
Hobie and Diane only share one cluster : The Time Desynchronization Cluster.
BUT Diane is from New York - so she's also apart of The New York & Adjacent Cluster with Pavi and Noir, while Hobie isn't.
And because Ansi is from Seattle he isn't in the New York Cluster either - so Diane's universe is farther away from Hobie's than Ansi's is. His universe is closer to Hobie's than Noir as well (as Noir also lives in NY)
And because of this - It's completely possible for Hobie to tumble into the next universe over.
AND ALSO because of this new unrelated term I learned from Peter B. of all people - his Ansi and Hobie bonded as young kids it would slow or totally reduce his multiversal decay.
Since their universes are so close, the multiverse can easily 'heal' itself without collapsing or shifting too much
Since they're so close, it's like the thread hasn't fully snapped. Because Hobie is close in proximity to his universe still, his universe hasn't 'noticed' enough to collapse in on itself
So as long as they found a way for Hobie to find equilibrium every week, or month, or even less - he's good.
Hell, if they bonded early it might even have been a year of him being there before any signs of glitching came on.
Even though Diane and Hobie are bonded, she still can't assimilate totally into Hobie's world 100%, because their universes are still a little farther apart. She can slip into his style or go in his universe unnoticed, but there's still that fraction of multiversal different. That's why for her, multiverse decay takes a week to set on instead of minutes or months.
Also bonding is permanent or near permanent - like it takes decades to wear off, though it may get weaker or dormant over time. But Ansi seeing Hobie come through the portal after all of those years and the bonding just KICKS IN and their spidey-senses go off
Diane sees this and is like ????? 'Hobie r u okay what r u feeling' cause he has this unreadable look on his face because one of the reasons he joined the Society WAS TO FIND ANSI.
He could figure out the watch on his own - but by going on missions and recruits he was just HOPING to find him one more time and finding out his universe number and he FINALLY DID
Immediately recognizing the house and being like 'damn im home.'
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAHHHAAAAAAAAAAAA
I think your Hobie was right. Oh and...because I told him I would, here's Hobie.
H: We're always right. -Hobie please.
Would you like to explain how Bonding feels? H:...No words for it really. We're Shining, basically. (OMFG He said this and I was like - no way. That's weirdly out of character. The Shining wasn't out in the 70's. - NOPE The book came out 1977. IT'S A NEW RELEASE TO HIM. I SWEAR I didn't know this I don't even like Stephen King. I've never even read the bookHOW DID HE KNOW THAT)
H: Because I'm always right. -All you do is irk my nerves. That's enough outta you.
Diane. Do you have anything to say?
D: Me currently
Tumblr media
Okay. How does Bonding feel? D: (Basically just squealing - after the initial shock she just kept jumping on his back)
Say hi to Ansi. D: OMGG I feel so far out right now!! Literally, like my brain is so OUT there. This is WICKED. COME OVER. are you busy? PLEASE tell you two have kid photos of you together. I NEED to see! - I think she has ADHD too D: It's like he's IN my head - Now you know how I feel.
That's it from them, they're spent and SO AM I
I hope any of this made sense cause I KN OW I sound like
Tumblr media
AHHHHHHH HERRE AHHHHH

Sugar we're going down, everytime we touch, and starstrukk for the amv ask game :3c -@gideongrovel
OOO !! These are such good ones !!
Doing these for Wolf Spider cause I'm thinking about him more ^^
SUGAR WE’RE GOIN DOWN :: Does your s/i’s inclusion in the media’s plot change anything majorly? If so, what’s changed?
I don't think he would change the story at all really! Wolfie is introduced in Into the Spider.verse, he's kind of like Noir/Penny/Spider.ham where he's an included spider. Like He has more lines than them and bonds with miles more on screen but not as much visually as Pet.er and Gw.en !
He's much more prevalent in Acr.oss the Spider.verse, where his role is kind of like Peter's, Jess.icas and Gw.ens but he's much more vocally apposed like Ho.bie ! He voices his concerns and is directly trying to help Mil.es escape the Spider Society. Especially once Miguel starts chasing him cause miggy has absolutely no chill at that point.
EVERYTIME WE TOUCH :: How would your s/i describe your f/o? How would your f/o describe your s/i?
Wolfie would give you an essay on his thoughts on Web.slinger lol
He's sooo cool, like cowboy spider.man? That's just super dope to him. Wolfie sees him as brave, loyal and kind of goofy. Like his connection with widow is super funny to wolf but he also thinks it's super sweet.
Slinger would def say Wolf is kind of a mischievous tenacious little thing. Slinger sees Wolf initially as a trouble maker with no guides but once they get to know each other, he sees it's much more of Wolf having an independent nature ! He admire his drive and ability to get serious when he needs to !
STARSTRUKK :: Name a fact about your s/i! [Or, alternatively, the sender can ask any question about your s/i if desired!]
When Wolfspider gets suuuuper mad or into a fight, he starts to get much more wolf like. His mane like bristles more and his eyes turn more yellow than brown. His fangs/teeth are also more prominent and he gets much more aggressive.
He has semi bad temper issues so he has to hold back a lot so he doesn't lose himself in the animalistic urge to just go feral.
Baby boy needs therapy tbh lol

Spidersona Part 4
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Michelle
Spider-Woman
Spider-Beam
Spider Society, Friends, and the Miles Incident
Previous post
In addition to mentoring and spider child development programs, Michelle will routinely help out with missions to capture anomalies for experience.
In Spider Society, she's close to Web-Slinger, Spider-Punk, and Spider-girl, May.
Tumblr media
Web-Slinger is the first spider her spider sense vibes with on their first meeting.
They work well together and like to get jobs done as fast as possible. They get straight to the point and can keep up with each other, even when he has Widow with him.
Widow always wants pets and Michelle will always have a treat to share at the end of the mission.
He likes to keep his mask on, but it doesn't stop their friendship developing. He has a quiet humor that she immediately gets. She can tell he's a bit older, but they start looking forward to missions together. They'll hang out in the cafeteria if he sticks around HQ.
While working with Web-Slinger, after a mission, Michelle removed her mask in front of him. He froze and called her Annie - a name that has meaning for both of them. Wide eyed, she watched as he removed his mask. That was how she found out Patrick O'Hara was a slightly older version of her husband.
She immediately introduced them to each other and they got along well. They refer to him as Slinger to avoid confusion.
Tumblr media
Hobie Brown is assigned to Michelle to assess his capabilities of becoming a mentor. At first he resists the evaluation, but they come to an understanding about helping kids. Michelle wants to figure out who she can pair him with when kids age out of her programs.
She brings Hobie to one of her kids programs. He captivates all their attention.
During the Miles Incident, she was at home. When she tries to go to HQ as usual, her watch is blocked. Miguel had blocked other spiders from entering HQ that weren't already present as soon as Miles ran.
A voice in the back of her mind wonders if she was the only one blocked.
After Miles escapes, Michelle is visited by Hobie, who uses his bootleg watch; he explains what happened. Even though she's never met Miles, she's appalled by the news since she's a huge advocate for spider youth.
He asks for her watch so he can use it for parts. She gives it to him.
After Hobie, Web-slinger stops by, questioning his actions with Miles. "I think I made a mistake."
"Well, let's fix it."
(Things happen and it goes back to normal since the next movie isn't here yet. lol)
The younger spiders notice Web-Slinger and Michelle spending time together.
"So what's between you and the cowboy?" Pavitr asks.
"Nothing, we're friends."
"But he goes home with you all the time!"
"Oh my god, Pav. I'm married!"
The group all immediately turns towards her, some look at her hand.
"I don't wear a ring with the suit."
"You got an MJ?"
"Absolutely not."
"Can we meet them? I need to see a spider having a successful marriage so I know what my future with Gayari will look like," Pav bounces on his feet.
"Peter's married."
"And he got divorced, then back together," Miles says.
"Not that I'm against it, but Jess is married too."
They all give her a look.
"Ok, sure. You all free tonight? I can call him. He's probably just starting dinner."
"He cooks?" Gwen asks.
"Yeah," Michelle smiles as she calls, "hey, Love. It's it ok if I invite a few guests tonight? Got some coworkers who want to meet you."
"So cute," Pavitr gushes.
After awhile, Michelle and Patrick move to HQ full time for 2 years. They tell people the move is for her job and keep in contact through video calls with their families. Patrick occupies himself with creative endeavors that were only hobbies back home.
Their place at HQ becomes a regular meeting spot for the group she mentors. Others come by too - Peter B, Noir, Peni, and more. Patrick and Michelle try to make their place as welcoming as possible.
Peter B's Mayday is attached and comfortable with Michelle. When she starts winding down at their place, Michelle will softly rock her and sing. Cielito Lindo is one of Mayday's favorite lullabies now.

You ever notice how Spider-Man is sort of used as a test dummy for new universes? Ultimate Spider-Man came out before the ultimate universe was officially a thing, Spider-Girl gave birth to MC2. Miguel helped usher in 2099, even the ps4 game is the first in the gamerverse for marvel.
Yes I have.
On the one hand I think it’s due to Spider-Man simply being the most popular Marvel property.
But I think it’s more than that because the Spider Character present in said universe isn’t simply the first in the door but also the last out.
Be honest, off the top of your heads how much do you know or remember about X-Men 2099? Besides different hair styles, certain characters getting their sexualities altered, Magneto controlling the Sentinels and Kitty Pryde dating Spider-Man (essentially being adopted by USM) how much to you know or remember about Ultimate X-Men? And you wouldn’t know anything about MC2 X-Men because they literally never appeared!
The story is true of every character from all 3 of those lines.
F5, Ult F4, J2, Hulk 2099, F4 2099, Doom 2099, Wild Thing, A-Next, Ultimates, Punisher 2099, Ravage, Ult F4.
All those titles fizzled out, even when they were great (like A-Next, seriously read it!).
And yet USM/Miles, Spidey 2099 and Spider-Girl were not only the last characters standing, but ultimately the most memorable parts of those universes, the most revisited and the poster childs for them.
I think this speaks less to coincidence or even the original Spider-Man’s popularity but more just how universal a concept Spider-Man is, it’s why (as mixed as the results were) it was even possible to do a story like Spider-Verse, Spider-Geddon, Web Warriors and Into the Spider-Verse.
The template for Spider-Man simply WORKS in almost any context and thus makes the best impression so that not only could you bring that iteration of the character back, but moreover people would WANT to see them back whereas the fan demand for into the X-Verse where the X-Men meet the X-People, the Ultimate X-Men and the 2099 X-Men is comparatively small if it even exists.
Part of what makes Spider-Man work in all these environments I think is the everyman aspect of the character. When you think about it, the Fantastic Four stem very specifically from the Space Race era and thus you need to think had how to make them relevant in other eras. The X-Men are more flexible but ultimately talk very specifically about an element of society, the persecuted minorities. Meanwhile characters like the Hulk or even Wolverine wind up dull in these new universes because their basic conceit is simplistic yet very specific, they’re effectively going to be the same no matter what. Hulk in the future is going to be a big green super strong monster and so is the Hulk of a more ‘realistic’ 21st century marvel universe and the Hulk of 15+ years into the future. Wolverine meanwhile will simply be the same man, with the same issues regardless of the decade or setting. That has it’s advantages, but ultimately there is a desire to see something different when going to AUs.
Because Spider-Man as the everyman is so foundational to the conceit of the character, it means that it will fit into any context and in fact help in the world building process.
We the readers know Spider-Man is a relatively normal guy, and so through the Spider character native to each universe in effect becomes a prism through which we learn of that new universe, both in terms of the literal world building (this is the future there are maglevs and laser guns) but more importantly in terms of how the storytelling of this universe is going to work.
Ultimate Spider-Man showed us ithe Ultimate Universe was (in theory) going to be as up to date as possible for the post-millenium generation, realistic and grounded, with more cynicism in play.
Spider-Girl showed us the MC2 universe was going to evoke the Silver Age in terms of it’s idealistic outlook and push forward the idea of the next generation SUCCESSFULLY picking up the mantle of their predecessors, many of whom haven’t yet retired and have lived out relatively happy lives.
Spider-Man 2099 showed us the 2099 universe was obviously a world of the future, but distnctly a Blade Runner/Cyber punk influenced one, violence, cynicism, rebellion against authority (embodied by tyrannical corporations) were at the heart of it.
Once you get that stuff established it’s WAY easier to then build off that to introduce the F4, the Avengers, the X-Men, etc.
P.S. Noticably I do not believe Marvel 1602 or Noir began with Spider-Man and they had far less longevity, and yet people still remembered Spidey 1602 and Spidey Noir above everything else.

Hi! I've been thinking a lot about this and was curious about your opinion- I've seen people online be critical of getting another fantastic four origin story potentially in the movies, similar to how people didn't want another 'uncle Ben sob story' for spidey, in the event of another FF movie would you want to see their origin explored again or would you prefer the story beginning after the fact? Would it make a big difference w their characters like not having uncle Ben to reference did?
So I’ve got a couple of different thoughts on this, but the biggest one is that we need origin stories in our superhero comics and in our adaptations because without them, we are missing a crucial building block in the foundation of characterization. Superman and the destruction of Krypton and his arrival on earth as a baby. Batman and the death of his parents. Spider-Man and the spider’s bite, the decision not to stop the burglar, and the subsequent death of Uncle Ben. I don’t think a lot of people who argue against even referencing the death of Uncle Ben realize the narrative weight involved here, or maybe the absolutely ordinariness of the scenario makes people uncomfortable: there’s no planet to be destroyed, and the fate of Batman’s parents have a certain dramatic quality about it, with the image of the wealthy Waynes, of Martha’s pearls, and young Bruce being made to witness these acts. Peter never sees Uncle Ben get killed. He’s shot by an ordinary thug. This action comes about through Peter’s inaction. It’s not the kind of crime that would make the front page of a paper if not for Spider-Man’s involvement in the capture of the criminal. It is actually, when you look at it, a painfully average sort of crime: an old man shot by another man with a gun during a bungled home invasion. And I don’t know if the aversion to seeing it again comes from a lack of empathy -- the audience refuses to feel for Peter because of the lack of superhero flair contained within the scene -- or from an abundance of this -- they “don’t want to see another Uncle Ben sob fest” because, in that there’s no superhero drama in it, it’s too easy to imagine the same sort of thing happening to someone in your life. But the thing that makes Spider-Man extraordinary has always been taking the ordinary and applying that to a superhero. It’s why he worries about bills. And it’s why his uncle dies in a way that has no flair to it. Peter’s not the lone survivor of an alien planet. He’s not the scion of a made up city’s elite and wealthy family. He’s an ordinary guy from a real city, and his uncle gets killed and that’s it: it’s mundane and terrible and like many people who experience a loss, he rationalizes that if he had taken different actions he could have prevented it, imposing his own responsibility on an event he couldn’t have foreseen. Beyond cementing responsibility in Peter and painting him with a certain down to Earth brush, though, Ben’s death serves another narrative function: without it, we don’t know how Peter functions as a crimefighter. Most Peters, including and originated with 616 Peter, when left to his own devices and without supervillain intervention, target street crime: muggings, drug dealers, assaults in the night, gun crime, illegal weapons. He also doesn’t use guns. Noir Peter, on the other hand, has a Ben who wasn’t shot as a means of murder, and that shows: he believes the mob murdered his uncle, so he cracks down on organized crime. His Ben wasn’t shot, so he has no problem using guns. You don’t have to spend the 40 minutes The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) took to set up Ben’s death, but without even referencing it or letting us know how Peter feels in response to it, there’s something vitally missing from the story and from our understanding of Peter as a character. Origin stories are important because they let us know what set the characters on this path, and people who are impatient with them need to consider that even if they know the story, a new movie will always be someone’s introduction to a character, and those new fans deserve to know that character’s origin story to its fullest. This might not be your first time watching an origin story, but it will definitely be somebody else’s. This isn’t to say the origin always has to be done in full, but I do think it has to be respected within a new piece, and it’s weird to me that some characters get this respect and others don’t.
On the other hand, we have to look at the Fantastic Four’s original origin and its execution within Fantastic Four #1. This is one of those origins that we have to adapt for the times -- and obviously comics have had to do this too as the sliding timescale moves along -- because there’s a big problem in that we can’t have the Fantastic Four steal a rocket because they want to beat to Russians to space. Fantastic Four itself is a little weird about the origin story: Fantastic Four #1 doesn’t open with it itself. Instead we’re introduced to a faceless “strange man” who monologues to himself that he’d hoped he’d never have to fire the signal to summon the mysterious Fantastic Four and prays it will be the last time. We’re then introduced to three individuals who display strange powers -- a woman running out on a society friend by turning invisible; a huge man who is having trouble being fitted for new clothes reveals a monstrous form; a teenager tinkering with an engine bursts into flame. We’re introduced to the Fantastic Four in their already powered state before a flashback takes us through how the cosmic rays transformed them, meeting them in their transformed state before we learn what it was exactly that transformed them. So in a way I do think you could make an argument that they’re suited for fast-forwarding through the origin story and perhaps revisiting it later, but there’s a few things about the origin story that inform the Fantastic Four in very important ways. First of all, the audience needs to understand that these are people who thought of and followed through with a plan to steal a space mission. Making it a planned space mission they’re all legally along for the ride on ala Fantastic Four 2005 automatically undermines the fact that the Fantastic Four are hugely independent free thinkers who don’t let little things like “canceled missions” keep them from breaking into government property and taking a couple billion dollars for a joyride just to prove a point. They’re rule breakers -- more than that, they invent new rules. The audience has to realize that these are people who will defy the government in favor of breaking ground and the discovering the new. Fant4stic (2015) did this better -- Reed, Ben, Doom, and Johnny very much do take an unsanctioned trip to another dimension just so they can be the first -- but it’s very Ultimate-inspired as origin retellings go, and I don’t like that Doom took Sue’s place in the original government property stealing lineup. Second, we need the origin to make it clear that Reed feels very guilty about the fact that the shielding wasn’t good enough and that he is responsible for the transformation of the three people he loved the most.

(Fantastic Four v3 #60)
We also need the origin story for the Ben angle. Now this is a thing I love about Fant4stic (I know, I know, but you all should know who I am -- a Fant4stic apologist -- at this point), and I think it’s actually a good thing about the fact that, going in, much of the viewing audience might already know the origin story: you can use that knowledge of the origin story to build up a lot of tension. If we know something has to happen within the story -- the transformation of the Fantastic Four, the spider biting Peter Parker -- then we have to be waiting for it. The shotgun, so to speak, is on the wall. The first Captain America film did this: obviously, I as a person who was familiar with Bucky Barnes knew he had to “die”, and I remember being on the edge of my seat waiting for it. Fant4stic does this with Ben: we know what happens to Ben, especially, out of all of the Fantastic Four. We know how monstrous his transformation is. We know he can’t turn back. And we know how that makes him feel. So we’re waiting for this horrible thing to happen to him and I don’t think that has to be a drudge -- I think it can be really quite exciting. It’s all in how confidently the creators embrace their source material and their skill as storytellers.
If there’s one thing I think fans should be advocating being left out of a brand new Fantastic Four movie, it’s Doom. The Doom Trap is a huge Fantastic Four adaptation problem; they need to stop writing him into the origin story alongside them when it erases his own origin, and makes a film that has to introduce four main characters all with complex relationships with each other too crowded when they’re trying to do the Ultimate Big Bad of the Fantastic Four right off the bat. Personally, I’d kill to do another little origin -- the first bad guy the Fantastic Four ever faced -- and have a new film feature the Mole Man as the main antagonist.

This is Snyder
I don’t care for Zack Snyder. I don’t hate his craft as much as i hate Michael Bay, Snyder actually tries to make good movies, but i don’t find his schlock entertaining. He’s not a bad director, i guess, but his movies are always scatter-brained messes. I think Snyder is more a creative than a crafter. He’s the guy you want in your development stages, throwing out ideas and boarding those massive action scenes. If i were to equate him to a sports analogy, Snyder is the Offensive Coordinator on an American Football team. He’s the guy that builds the visual aspects of your scenes, the car who sets up the set pieces. He’s Mr. Battlemaster, the Attack Master, the guy you call in to adds little spice to your drama and conflict laden plot, not the guy you give the keys to an entire cinematic universe where you have to humanize godlike heroes. Emotional subtlety has never been Snyder’s strong point. Since the only DCEU film that was passable was Wonder Woman, the one flick that Snyder didn’t really have his hands on too much, i wanted to take some time and kind of dissect why i hate almost everything Snyder has ever made.
Dawn of the Dead
It’s been years since i’ve seen this movie but i recall enjoying it considerably. But it’s a zombie movie. And it wasn’t written by Snyder. That’s going to be a running theme in this; Other people’s stuff, Snyder is okay. His own stuff, not so much... Zack was only a Director on this flick which meas he just got to bring a script to life. He just got to pick the best scenes and build a cool looking movie. That’s Snyder at his best and it shows. For my money, DoD is his best film.
300
This was his breakthrough. 300 lends itself to Snyder’s style even more than DoD. The comic it’s based on is literally revisionist history written by 80s comic madman, Frank Miller. It is literally a series of splash pages with cool sh*t on them. In comic book speak, it’s literally a series of action set pieces. Splash pages are used to fill every inch of paper with dynamic, poignant, information. When every page of your book is a splash page, it conveys a sense of aggressive action. That is right up Snyder’s alley. There’s no room for plot or character development but that slow-mo buster kick to that persion dude was crazy dope, son! “THIS! IS! SPARTA!” It’s also a superficial, special FX laden, popcorn movie that is borderline sexist with all of the half naked dudes about but still, i had a good time.
Watchmen
Watchmen was the first Snyder movie i saw where i realized he was kind of out of his depth. Dude did his best to bring this unfimable story to the screen, and in some spots i think he did a really good job (Comedian’s arc was okay and that change toward the end made all of the sense to me) but overall, it lacked the emotional, philosophical, and political depth from the source material, you know, literally the reason why Watchmen is so goddamn brilliant. Snyder shot this movie like a mid 2000s cape flick. Think Raimi’s Spider-Man or X2 but infinitely more superficially, which is ridiculous because the Watchmen novel is infinitely more rich. WB kind of let up on Snyder’s leash a bit and he focused way too much on the sh*t that shouldn’t have been focused on. At it’s core, Watchmen is a character study of those old timey 80s archetypes and an indictment of the destructive materialism infecting society at that time. There’s a visceral moral question that my brother and i argue about all of the time and i believe Snyder stuck the landing, but he kept falling off the bar to get there.
Sucker Punch
Sucker Punch is one of the worst movies i have ever seen. The mechanics, the technical aspects of this movie, are just the worst. I can go into how this is basically a shittier version of Inception with the dream in a dram aspects or how that sh*t doesn’t make any sense in the movies established lore or timeline. I can go into how this thing technically takes place in between the five minutes that Babydoll is being moved from her cell to the lobotomy chair so none of it matter or how f*cking ridiculous it is that this woman’s name is f*cking “Babydoll”. Sucker Punch is wildly problematic and i’ve written at length about how i feel about it before, i think, but my point with this entry is to high light how messy this movie feels. This is Snyder wit h no brakes. This is Snyder unleashed, When left to his own design. THIS, Sucker Punch, is the type of movie Zack Syder wants to make. He wanted to explore the psychology behind being in such dire straights, the emotional and psychological rationale of those terrible circumstances but he also wanted naked chick, a dragon, and giant robot samurai in it. How does that work? You can’t put Nazi Zombies in Girl, Interrupted, man. that dog don’t hunt. i know because Sucker Punch tried it and IT was AWFUL!
The DCEU
I thought about doing these thing individually but considering he basically directed all of these f*cking movies (except Wondy) i can lump them all into one entry. WB mistook the success of the Grimdark Nolan Batman Trilogy as audiences wanted a bunch of edgelord superheroes. So they gave the Batman Begins treatment to f*cking Superman. And, to bring this car crash of an idea to the big screen, they give the reigns to Snyder. I don’t like Superman. I think he’s a terrible hero. How do you right him? What aspects do you focus on when the guy and turn back time by flying real fast? How do you make that asshole compelling? Snyder’s solution? Uncle Ben his ass! Guilt trip him into becoming the world’s savior! sh*t’s lazy son! Man of Steel was adequate though. it was good enough for the WB suits to hand the entire reigns of the DCEU over to this asshat and, oh boy, was that dumb! My chick is the biggest Superman fan and she hated this movie. For her, someone versed in the Kal-El mythos, this was an affront. From what little i know about Supes, i’d agree.
SO Snyder double-downs on his Batmanfication of Superman by literally introducing Batman into a Superman story. BvS is an abortion of a film. It destroys the archetype of what all of these heroes represent. Batman is a psychopath killer. Superman is a morose pussy. Lex Luthor is the goddamn Riddler from Batman Forever. It’s a goddamn mess. Which sucks because, at it’s core, there are a lot of good ideas here. I liked how Luthor was more Zuckerburg than Rockefeller. I liked the introduction of Wonder Woman, even if it felt a little forces at times. I liked at the whole “Punished Messiah” story line for Supes, even if it never got deeper than a puddle. I hated everything else. Everything was just too Snyder-y. Cool sh*t to look at as opposed to deep sh*t to identify with. But that’s what happens when you forgone character development for mech fights and a Doomsday story line that should have bookend a phase one of pictures. Seriously, Doomsday in the second goddamn movie of your fledgling franchise? No! no, im not going to get into that. We’ll address that later.
Suicide Squad was a goddamn mess. I know David Ayer directed that, and one day i hope we get to see that sh*t, but the studio brought Snyder in to fix what they felt was an unwatchable film. Seriously, Snyder is considered a “guest Director” on that film and it shows. Justice League is the same way but Joss Whedon kind of added a bunch of levity to this ridiculous film. While i think Justice League is trash, i also believe it’s the second best that the DCEU has produced, mostly because there was reprieve to ll of Snyder’s grimdark bullsh*t. Whedon was able to bring out the best of these characters. I eve liked Superman in this and i f*cking hate Superman. But that’s kind of my point. If you remove Snyder from the equation, you get solid sh*t! like Wonder Woman!
Everything about Wonder Woman screams dope. It reminds me of a Phase one MCU outing, which is a fitting tone for Diana’s adventures. It’s not a perfect movie, there area ton of issues with it, but overall, it is a delight. I think Gal Gadot gave her best performance and someone finally used Chris Pine in an advantageous manner. I think going full on Ares was a mistake but, in the context of the world, i get it. I thought this was a decent ride until the end. The climax was whack. Seeing as how Snyder is credited as a writer, i assume he wrote this part because it feels wildly Snyderish. Literally the worst pat of this film is the ending. Tonally, it’s ridiculous. It doesn’t fit. It’s poorly executed. But it’s fun to watch, i guess. That’s Snyder in a nutshell.
Ultimately, putting this guy in charge of the entire DCEU, which wanted to be a direct competitor to the MCU, was a mistake. His vision is ridiculous. He has too many ideas for any one film and with no one to reel that in, you get the mess that we have now. There are certain things that needed to happen in order for the DCEU to be relevant, to be good. Snyder doesn’t have the patience to execute like this though. He doesn’t want to put in the time to world build. He just wants to throw awesome looking sh*t on screen and move on. That, a good movie, does not make. If i had a say, i’d probably loosely follow the MCU Phases. That sh*t worked and gave ample time to develop a proper story. As an example, i’d have done something like this:
Phase One - Trinity
Movie 0: House of El. Prequel to the entire DCEU set in the final days of Krypton. You could establish all of the requisite Supermann necessities while also planting seeds for Brainiac, Doomsday, Apokolips, and Darkseid. This would be the backbone for the first three phases of your DCEU. Think Star Wars but with Krpytonians instead of Jedi.
Movie 1: The Batman or Gotham, dunno about that title yet, Definitely a Year one or Year Two Bat-story. I’d want to introduce The Long Halloween arc. Make it a noir, focus on the assumed Batman doing his detective thing, until the climax which would be an amalgamation of No Man’s Land and The Man Who Laughs. Like, Joker is holding the city hostage and all of the holiday murders were a distraction while he planted his trap. Batman would have to choose between his morals or vengeance in the end.
Movie 2: Superman Sequel. Calling this one Man of Steel as it would have both Superman and Metallo as the primary antagonist. I figure having Clark and Corbin duke it out makes for a clever title, you know? You can introduce Luthor as the mastermind, secretly collaborating with his miraculous AI that turns out to be Brainiac. Deathstroke could be hired muscle. Cadmus can be introduced. You get to see the introduction of Superman on a world wide scale as he and Metallo duke it out in the open. This would feel like that old Superman cartoon on the WB way back when. Light-hearted yet serious tone. Actual stakes. Sub plot of Lois figuring out Luthor is the reason all of the trauma occurs.
Movie 3: Wonder Woman. It will probably be a period peace set against WW1. It would pit her against Aries and the preconceptions of women during those bleaker times. The battle would be against disillusionment; trying to find a reason why Man should be defended or something of that nature. Wonder Woman would be more or less what we already got from Patty Jenkins, with a much better ending. Like, an actual pgysical fight with Aries seems dumb. If we have to go that course because of executive meddling, at least cast a better Ares. Make him more menacing and less inept. Motherboxes and a bit more of Apokolips will be introduced in this movie.
Movie 4: World’s Finest. Basically Batman against Superman while WW actually solves the real issues behind the scene. Like, she uncovers the underlying plot of the Motherboxes and actually tries to prepare for the coming of Steppenwolf. I really like the idea of Wonder Woman adapting her skill set to covert ops kind of like Motoko Kusanagi does. Also, you know, dudes is dumb and punchy. While Supes and Bats are having their tiff, Steppenwolf actually appears and engages the two of them. Ultimately, Wonder Woman arrives and the three of them, the Trinity, send ol boy packing back to Apokolips and the Motherboxes go dead. The Trinity is established, the seeds of Apokolips have been sown, and we can move into Phase Two - Justice League with the first movie of the lot; Death of Superman. Opening with the sidelining of the most powerful hero opens up a reason for Batman, having an established relationship with Winder Woman and Superman, realizing there are bigger things out there and a team might be necessary to combat them.
See, four movies, five if you count the Krypton prequel, and you’ve established the world, the main characters, the underlying conflict, and you have room to grow. You’ve developed characters, established the backbone to your entire universe, and given each of your principal heroes, Batman, Superman, ad Wonder Woman, their own outing, in the vein of their own themes. Grimdark works for Batman because he IS grimdark. Sh*t doesn’t fly with Superman or Wonder Woman. Diana is a warrior, set her story to the backdrop of a conflict to showcase her strengths. Superman wold spend his time trying to save Metallo, not murder him at the end of the goddamn movie because Supes is about believing in the good, not killing troubled assholes. Snyder didn’t have the patience to do this. He wasn’t building anything. He just wanted to put cool sh*t on the screen while trying to make everything dark and deep. He failed at both.
In closing, i don’t think Zack Snyder is a terrible director. I don’t. I think he has too may ideas and no one to reel him in when left to his own devices. When he is making someone else’s material, when he has a guidelines to follow and people keeping his rampant creative energy in check, he can be pretty good at his job, a la DOD or 300. Hell, i’d even give him Watchmen. But, left to his own devices, we get nonsense like Sucker Punch and BvS. Zack Snyder is everything that’s wrong with modern American cinema and it galls me to the core.
