okay so this is the BARE bones of a backstory but lace is the newish secretary of a big crime boss and quintus (not her real name) is the boss's like. second cousin or something but first and foremost his most brutal enforcer/torturer. they are fucking behind the boss's back. lace is a decade and a half younger than quintus. lace is also a plant from a rival family and is literally feeding info to them. quintus is spending half her salary on lace and actually does know that lace is a traitor she just kind of dgaf. this probably isn't going to end well
