#I’m reading volumes 14-16 of the ouran manga OOUGHHH MY HEART #I love this weird little friend group so much its unreal #like u have this charming sweeps you off your feet prince but he’s actually a huge lovable idiot with a kind heart and his friends #who are all misfits that he reached out to and drew in because of his kindness and own weirdness like that shits TIGHT BRO #and the trauma part where he has some deep seated issues with love bc he thinks that itll break a family apart like with his mom #how his family isnt allowed to be together because his mom and dad fell in love and how he says he wants to build a big house #so that way one day everyone will get along as a family like. all he wants is not to lose everyone and the only way to do that is #by maintaining a certain order.. he both wants a complete family so bad and doesnt want anything to sour between anyone #so he assigns each of his friends a family role based on how he sees them and YEAH its mostly played for giggles and tamakis #already weird so its his way of showing theyre close to him but. god damn this boy has LAYERS #it also feels kinda meta towards how found family tends to get thrown around to assign characters as 'siblings' or family roles instead of #using it to describe characters who are close enough to be each others family. cuz tamakis doing that EXACT THING in a way tht #ties in with his character and i have to say its fascinating using that within the story itself and its completely plausible #theres a lot of things i can say about ouran that are good bad and questionable but. god i love it when characters are niceys to each other #i remember i really liked the mall episode bc kyoya and haruhi got to spend time together and their relationship isnt very close #but it was really nice to see their personalities bounce off each other. i think i also wouldve liked to see haruhi alone with kaoru #i also firmly believe all of the hosts are at least a little in love with haruhi and this can be anything like endearing romantic cuz like #who DOESNT love haruhi. kyoya i think would want to study her under a microscope like his fascination with her draws him in #but im fucking obsessed with whatever haruhi and tamaki have going on because YES hes obsessed with her YES he jumps at the chance to #put her in a cute costume but haruhi? she just fucking goes with it because she knows hes fun to be around even if hes a little wacky abt i #theyre all so. watching fusion reborn again and i need to talk about it before my head erupts tw for insane delusional rambling about a non canon anime movie that came out in 1995

the whole scene where theyre discussing fusion is like such a vital kakavege moment in history LMAO like it starts off with goku diving into a pile of NEEDLES (which he has a phobia of, if u dont recall) without hesitation to catch vegeta and safely escort him to the ground. wild detail to add guys but what do i know lmao

the conversation uses crazy language like goku saying “youre going to fuse with me” and “there’s no other way, you must know that” among other lines implying he knows vegeta well enough to predict his reactions in this situation which you KNOW is my shit i love when goku and vegeta show that they know each so well

goku’s stupid “vegetaaa youre already dead” followed by the weirdly long animation of vegeta’s annoyed face isnt relevant but it is super funny

also not that important but the way goku and vegeta say each other’s names over and over again its like every other word out of their mouth is each other’s names it’s so gay dude

then the scene after where goku runs to vegeta’s aid only to stop before touching him cuz he knows vegeta doesnt want his help, this kills me this kills me so bad

AND DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THEIR FINAL INTERACTION. vegeta saying “kakarot i never want to perform fusion with you again” with the biggest smile ive ever seen him have and goku laughing in response and just saying “see u later vegeta” GODDDUUGGHHH WHAT THEFUCK !!

fusion reborn is a banger of a dbz movie dude esp for kakavege fans like its the best argument we have in kakavege’s name lmao. its just goku and vegeta being vulnerable with each other and fighting a bad guy together and having fun with literally no one else involved its just a fun little adventure they go on together that no one ever really knows about <3

to be very very clear i am absolutely not saying ppl writing defiant or "unrealistic" whumpees r bad writers or their stories r bad or anything, its just not my personal taste. like, ive seen ppl be like "ugh pathetic broken whumpees are so boring" and that already triggers my rsd so i wanna be clear that i am NOT trying to put anyone down at all, please write what brings u the most joy, because there will be plenty plenty others who love that same thing.

but yes what u describe is absolutely my pet peeve, for the sole reason that my own personality is soooooo far away from that that i cant project lol actually, i wonder if it rly is unrealistic, or if there are ppl who have such a strong detachment from their situation that theyd continue to act that way. or even just... you know how people can get used to everything. and how with chronic pain for example, the pain gets "boring" and you wont see those ppl just rolling around the floor in agony 24/7 bc thats not very fun. they just learn to function w pain levels potentially much higher than average. i wonder if a whumpee whos been in captivity for 3 yrs could have a similar situation where theyre just tired of being scared and they have no joys other than making whumper's eye twich. (and only break down after the stressors and repeated trauma are gone)

i think my whumpees swing the other way on the unrealism spectrum (or maybe not idk ive never been thru that and fingers crossed i never will) and im sure thats also annoying for some people. but if u know me, u know i am obsessed w rules and order. breaking rules of any kind gives me immense anxiety. i also hate unfair treatment to death! so if i see a whumpee break rules and succeed and thats how they gain advantages, it pisses me off! bc they just broke the rules why r they getting better treatment!! even if they get worse treatment im just huffing and puffing bc well u couldve avoided that!! i wouldve!!

another reason is that if whumpee is successfully defiant and pissing whumper off or smth, getting under their skin, whatever, it takes me out of the whumper fantasy... if u saw me describe my ideal whumper u saw how i literally wrote mary sue. that includes being able to control and break their whumpee. if whumpee isnt following the rules it makes me question the whumper, and i dont like questioning the whumper, i want the whumper to be in absolute and utter control of everything.

BUT AGAIN THATS ALL PERSONAL OPINION. thats what i like, thats what i write, thats what i seek out from others. i hope others have a very fun time writing as defiant whumpees as their heart desires.

hii savee!! i must ask... How is Warren to Shrignold? And how is Shrignold to Warren? Asking this because idk if you are seeing them as a happy, healthy couple or as an okay relationship( an relationship with fights but in the end they forgive eachother and etc.) 😁🌼

Welb, when i ship characters im not the kind who just wanna see them together and aaah love hearts and flowers, but im not a problematic topics fan either, i just like see them like lab rats and explore their dynamic through fanfics or fanart. So, i think that, at first, it would be some complicated.

Warren is egocentric and annoying, He would probably be desperate for attention at first and wouldn't like Shrignold doing his responsibilities. Besides, surely he would care little or nothing about the cult, therefore he would not take into consideration the time that it drains from Shriggs or even he would not have the proper respect for the place. Too cloying that it's stressful. He would eventually learn that this way he would not win over Shrignold (who, by the way, is not the type to let himself be bothered.), and, as I say, he would finally be somewhat more domesticated in the area of ​​being intense and a jerk.

On the other hand, Shrignold would probably be so focused on his community that he wouldn't have the energy to deal with someone like Warren at the end of the day. He is a leader, someone who is authoritarian, but that would weaken him for his special one, therefore he would sin by not him back into the fold. when it is due, and he would also show clear annoyance at the worm's insubordinate attitude. However, he would not have enough patience and would finally "educate" him( w ) little by little to measure the bad side of Warren.

At the end of the day, they are quite different and equal characters at the same time, they would have their clashes and similarities of course, but they would solve it.

Personally, I am not the cheesy kind, I do not believe in happy endings or science fiction, I do not believe in anything that is unreal in all its senses, therefore, I would not classify them as a "healthy relationship" or "ok(?) relationship ", theyre just like, arguments from time to time, forgiving each other later, learning from each other's good and bad things... like a real relationship!

something i find really interesting about floweys characterization is his hatred of finality and how thats a foil to charas “you think you are above consequences.” those two are obvious foils just in general BUT i think this is such an interesting part of their relationship,, i think it also lends to floweys belief that theyre the only one that could ever make him feel whole again,,, just a quick warning i Will talk about death and grief and and maybe unreality here As Always so just watch out and feel free to scroll past :):)

so much of undertale follows people running from the truth and consequences, most prominently with the dreemurrs and alphys. its essential for everyone to face their feelings to get a happy ending, especially asriel who Sure Does Love To Run From His Problems. he can never go back to when chara was alive, but he also cant just let go of them. he doesnt know how to cope with their death and his complicated feelings towards his family. he feels responsible for charas death, he feels responsible for what happened to his parents, and he feels responsible for how hopeless the underground feels. he feels responsible for Literally Everything, despite him just being a kid who cant possibly be in control of everything.

and thats whats so interesting about the way hes written!! its extremely real to how experiencing that kind of traumatic event feels. you want to be in control of everything so nothing can go wrong again, and if something Does go wrong, at least you’re expecting it, so you cant be too surprised or hurt by it. him having control over resets and feeling as if others arent real reads so much to me as “traumatized guy cant deal with the idea of anything bad happening ever again and its weird to him to deal with the fact that life goes on despite everything he experienced.” i know plenty of people say he started to kill out of boredom because thats what flowey says but i honestly dont think thats it at all!! hes a liar he LOVES to not be upfront about his feelings

the first resets were him trying to make everyone feel better. he needs to placate everyone as both his duty to his kingdom and to make sure nothing goes horribly wrong. but its never enough, as he can never take back charas death and he cant free everyone. no matter what he does hes stuck in this cycle of thinking nothing matters because charas dead anyway. the fact that theyre gone puts them on a pedestal and fills flowey with so many regrets, like wondering what else he could have learned about them or what he could have done differently to keep them from dying. flowey does Not want to deal with or accept their death and he cant just. be content with everyone simply living their lives around him

i think his first kill was likely him finally losing his temper with everything being the same (would Not be surprised if it was toriel) and wanting to see someone feel the way he feels, or even the way chara felt. hes free to put everyone through the pain he experienced and get away with it. its interesting that he views himself as a monster for this and wants the player to see themself this way as well, yet he doesnt want anyone other than the player to know about what he did... i think this also kind of feeds into his issues with finality. the resets are his way of coping and knowing that hes in control. he gets to choose who lives and when things will end, and eventually repeat. the player and chara take that control away from him. charas death is pretty much the only constant he has that he cant change. the player also does this by. u know. taking over the ability to reset

it shows him that hes not and cant always be in control even if thats what brings him comfort. thats probably part of the reason hes constantly following frisk; he needs to make sure he knows whats going on. he always gets So mad when he has No Idea whats happening and thats definitely a control thing,, its extremely important that hes shown positive things can happen without his intervention.... he needs to have hope that things can get better, which isnt really something he had before frisk. they offer a comforting finality rather than one that scares him... which makes his death in the no mercy route very interesting as well!!

he spends the route pretending as if everything is fine now that chara is back and everything will simply go back to normal. it doesnt matter if they kill everyone cuz hey, at least charas back!! this whole time he was so scared he made the wrong decision and that hes the reason charas dead, but theyre back now so he can try to fix everything. this only changes when he realizes that no, not everything can just be swept under the rug. chara clearly felt strongly about consequences. they wanted to get revenge on humanity and free monsters, so much so that they would die for it. they wont let you get away with killing everyone, and they also wont let their own brother get away with it either, especially when he considers chara the same as him. he can only cling on to the one thing that remains true to him, his friendship with chara before they both died.

he tries to placate them, as hes grown used to doing with everyone else, by bringing up their past friendship. theyre best friends! they could never kill their best friend! he doesnt want to die, specifically because of the finality of that situation. he has to say goodbye to chara again. he has to say goodbye to everything again, but this time at the hands of who he had put on a pedestal. it really reminds me of when he tells frisk to kill him over and over, only to be shown kindness and forgiveness... he was fully expecting to be killed by this random human child and it was. extremely upsetting to have them go against what he thought would happen. its the same with being killed by chara. he never thought that after all this time apart that they would really turn on him

my favorite thing about the pacifist route is that he finally gets to come to terms with what happened. he gets to grow!! he finally gets to free everyone and overcome his regrets. he can forgive himself!!! he acknowledges that he doesnt want to let go and that hes alone and afraid but its okay to say goodbye. he can finally let go of that terrible hopeless feeling and understand that things can get better, despite how much hes changed and what hes lost. but i like that hes not just magically better, too. it takes so much time to really start feeling at least a little better, and the pacifist route was just the start!! the alarm clock dialogue shows that he still feels the need to watch over toriel and make sure everythings okay.

however!! hes also still friends with papyrus!! he doesnt feel the need to completely isolate himself and hes kind of growing from the ideology that no one is real and can never be any more than what he already thinks he knows,, its very nice to see him recover :) i really love that in the content where hes interacting with people other than the player hes basically just. the exasperated voice of reason. he thinks everyones an idiot, but its also probably very endearing to him. i know a lot of people portray him as Angry Little Chaos Guy but he only really acts like that when he feels. strongly. about things. when hes Going Through Something. otherwise, it seems like hes mostly just kind of the serious guy who will mess with his friends cuz he thinks its funny.

i always think about that segment right before the special thanks. EXTREMELY in character for him of course he would prank you right at the end. he loves messing with people. even before he died, he seemed to like playing harmless little pranks on chara like making them smile for no reason. oh, but if they mess with him like refusing to do their scary face again, then suddenly its unfair. see what i mean he and papyrus are like the same guy its hilarious. i constantly think about how chara was probably similar to sans just because of how similar papyrus and flowey are BUT thats a post for another day

anyway,, i wouldnt be surprised if when asriel was still alive he still felt some kind of. disconnect from people. ive always had this hc that he was extremely lonely and had a hard time connecting with anyone because of his prince status. whether thats because his status scared them away or because he viewed people less as what they are and more of people he needs to help... and i wouldnt be surprised if he also felt that way about chara.. he probably did want to help them feel better cuz they were obviously troubled and it led to him being quiet about his true feelings about the plan,, i think hes also extremely scared of being rejected.. he doesnt want toriel to know about his crimes cuz he doesnt want her to hate him and he forces frisk to stay with him during the fight cuz hes probably convinced they wouldnt want to be friends with him anyway so why not just Make them be friends with him.... in his own weird little way

ok i didnt mean for this post to be so long but!!! i just think!! flowey is so well written. he has so many issues not regretting his every action and he doesnt want to deal with the outcome of anything cuz in his mind it could probably Always Be Better,,, his trauma is written so well and i love him toby i will forever be thankful for flowey

love him so much you dont even know. i memorized his username (Hirooooo) i think he's cool. i like his inkless office drone title it implies so much about him. projected some of my traits onto him a very long time ago, so he's an autistic trans guy to me. maybe bi. ive mentioned it before but i think he wears his ocho octophones outside of battle and theyre noise cancelling. i think he needs that feature for battles cause oh my goodness there's so many noises in battles sometimes.

of COURSE he uses .96 gal, its iconic as hell. but i think he uses like.. 3 other weapons too. splattershot, mainly because he's been shown with ttek splattershot + he's on the trizooka card (or at least the octoling there has a VERY close resemblance). i think he uses range blaster and dark tetra dualies cause he's been shown with them (the range guess is based on like. 20 pixels from a millisecond of footage though). also i use range and dark tetra..and i thought it was funny

also fun little thought i had the other day: i think he avoids .96 gal deco like the plague. was excited to see it get splash wall but freaked out about kraken royale. picked it up just to find out about the kraken part mid-match and got jumpscared by the transformation. enough to shove somewhere and never think about it again

i dont think he has like, a set in stone team or anything (i dont think any of the splat 3 promo kids do, they all play matches with each other n theyre all friends) but he usually teams up with anemoneno1, takotruck, and c4l4m4r. they have the most toxic synergy ever but thats another story. my interpretation of ane is its own thing too. i think they and hiro hate each other in the friend way. say the rudest shit to each other as a joke then laugh about it.

SPEAKING OF HIS RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER PEOPLE. coming out as a hironika lover. i think he loves veronika so much its unreal. kind of boyfail type of way. they share an apartment w/ ane. sometimes i think about a poly thing between them but i like to think ane's just an onlooker to the frustrating chaos that is the two of them pining on each other in the most obvious way possible. theyre so t4t oh my god. (off topic but im a veronika she/they nonbinary believer forever. i think she's also a girl too but i dont know how to explain that. bigender, demigirl?? hard to label wish i could just let people peer into my brain on that.)

ok so those guys in particular are from the fox procedural called 9-1-1 Lone Star, which is a spinoff of the original 9-1-1 (which just got moved to abc after some Drama that went down so my tag for it is 911 (not fox) lmaoo). but both shows are about first responders (firefighters, paramedics, dispatchers, police) with a particular focus on firefighters. 9-1-1 (the og) is set in LA, and primarily focuses on the 118 firehouse and the firefighters/paramedics there with some other characters in the main cast who work as dispatchers/police officers (the police storylines are more often than not FULL of copaganda which sucks but the main focus is on the firefighters so i'm able to enjoy the rest of the show). 9-1-1 Lone Star is pretty much the same except it's set in austin texas, and is about the 126 firehouse. there are onscreen queer characters in both (in the og there's a married lesbian couple raising a kid, and in lone star there's the aforementioned hot gay boys [one of whom is unfortunately a cop but i swear to GOD i will get him out of there. one day.] and in lone star there's also a trans man and wlw woman in the main cast.) and my favorite thing about these shows is the found family !!! like these are the shows that have endeared firefighter aus to me because they live together and eat meals together and just. the familial/platonic love is So Powerful and it legiterally makes me cry to watch. like there's romance ofc but genuinely it's one of my favorite found family medias to ever exist. its So.

of the two the og is my favorite for a LOT of reasons, but they're both pretty enjoyable !! lone star definitely has more of a comedic tone than og (theyre BOTH funny but lone star doesn't have as many somber intense moments as og does, and they're much more spread out so there's a lot more room for goofy shenanigans. but og still definitely has plenty of those) and the team dynamics in them both are just...ughhh <3333

HOWEVER. lone star has ..... so one of them is tk strand (firefighter/paramedic, also the son of the Main Character (derogatory). i have many many many thoughts about that. i would probably get gunned down in this fandom if i ever said them aloud.) and the other one is carlos reyes (a private detective TO MEEEEEEEEEEEE but unfortunately fox is full of cowards who refuse to see the truth. they wanna have a gay cop in their show sooo bad </3) and they're kind of the main romance of the show (there Are others ofc but theyre like. The Focus. which is fine ig but i do wish there was more focus on other relationships because in general lone star isnt as good as the ensemble thing as og. but i already complained about that so i digress.)

now they're a fun pair because one of them has been shot, frozen almost to death, and otherwise put into a coma on MULTIPLE occasions. and it's not the guy whose entire job is to get shot at. (the whump in both of these shows.....................absolutely effervescent. im thriving here.) and they have a very fascinating relationship because their personalities fit together really well but they have different ways of coping with shit that kind of tear each other apart a little bit. which is of course terrible for them but incredible for me. and the writing is at times ridiculous. soap opera-esque, even. they're ridiculous. i adore them. they cannot catch a god damn break and i love that for them even more. <3

mio & sena: motherfucker okay where do i start. Senas jealousy? Mio noticing, but not knowing how to help or what it means? MIYABI?? No but. Sena spends so long convincing herself that mio doesnt actually like her and theyre only friends through obligation. And mio doesnt know how to help sena bc sena keeps acting like theres no problem!! and they love each other and they dont want to hurt each other by acknowledging this festering rift in their friendship, when they’ve known each other so long and things were Fine, but now everything has changed and something’s gotta give. eunie & taion: ultimate enemies > frenemies > teammates > partners > taion and eunie. Literally im the most insane about these guys. because they start by hating each other their whole relationship is built on this foundation of mutual needling, which. Win. But then when it DOES give way into subtle vulnerability and kindness (THE FUCKING. TEA SCENE. THE TEA SCENE I SWEAR TO GOD!!) it stops being “i hate your guts” and starts being “you’re my fourth best friend” because they GET each other. Theyre complete opposites in theory, but they Know what its like to be vulnerable and afraid and when their partner is too panicked to tease them? THATS when it cracks and they say what they mean instead of veiling it behind a personal cipher. God i just. Them, fr. They love each other so much

eunie & lanz: i have not stopped thinking abt the bathtub cutscene theyre everything to me. eunie “one of the boys” and lanz “one of the girls” for REAL theyre on Such a wavelength. I feel like having to deal with noah every day for 8 years put them in a blood bond or something. Theyre by far the rowdiest of the party because they will just start shit. Bitches who have no impulse control and love things so violently and joyously

eunie & sena: i think for a while there was that stiltedness there that comes with sena wanting to put on a front to be more likeable. I mean. “Eunie love”? unlike mio and sena tho i reckon eunie is able to help sena work through all of it much easier, because shes Eunie shes The most blunt person youll meet! And sena knows that a eunie compliment is fuckin rare. Conversely i think its also an opportunity for eunie to be more vulnerable in a way she isnt really with anyone else, bc she cant just needle sena the same way she does everyone else. They have this really supportive dynamic where Yes they will still banter and tease each other. But at the heart of it is a lot of communication and vocal kindness that is unique to these two in particular.

taion & lanz: everyone saying the bickering is a coverup for all the kisses theyre doing is on the money. Taion and lanz have a really similar dynamic to taion and eunie, but without a lot of the tenderness. So instead what you get is this bickering and poking at each other like one big game of gay chicken. YES they love each other, but they cant just say that because then they’ll lose. They are competing completely arbitrary. Taion says he’s not but he’s lying. Not being at odds with each other just somehow feels wrong!!

taion & sena: half the game these two are just clinging to each other because of their mutual desire to keep mio safe, and yeah it unites them but it also corrupts them a bit. neither of them are able to pull the other back from that threshold of worrying too much. After about lambda/maktha, i think they start to learn how to enjoy each other’s company without that mutual distance. Theyre almost like a balm for each other? Having spent so much time Focusing and Worrying together when they actually learn to relax i think they just become. Comfortable around each other. Like a mothers group

lanz & sena: you cant do this to me. Im not normal about them. “noah and mio were the first to be friends” yeah and a lot of that was the off-seeing and the ouroboros. Lanz and sena hit it off RIGHT away on day 1 even without having those connections. They are Literally partners and to be honest. I think they were almost ride or die from the beginning. Lanz being a defender? Sena desperately wanting to keep mio alive? It cumulates in this mutual understanding that their purpose in the team is to protect. And this definitely goes to unhealthy lengths because thats another reason they hit it off- theyre both so passionate. Lanz’s anger is unchecked, a constant tornado, but sena’s is like a powder keg on cooldown until someone lights it. And together theyre fuckin explosive, and thats not always a good thing, especially if they both think of themselves as expendable compared to the rest of their teammates. But fundamentally there is an understanding there that im so insane about. These bitches have so many issues and i love them so much.

its not rly abt like specific visuals i think so much as like how theyre used, and this is also just kind of a tough question to answer bc the stuff i like most in horror isnt necessarily the stuff i find personally scariest. like i love body horror shit but because i love it and seek it out so often its generally not as shocking to me as i guess it would be for someone who doesnt.

but yea im a big fan of like body horror, cosmic horror, psychological and unreality horror stuff sometimes. unreality and medical horror and stuff related to like infection in particular are subgenres that like dance on the knifes edge of being super cool to me and actually absolutely fucking me up in a not so fun way lol. i do still end up seeking them out quite a bit tho.

A random headcanon: i think sora was the first of the island kids to learn how to swim but pretended to not be able to until riku and kairi could as well. he didn't want to swim until they could all swim together.

A BROTP I have with said character: i think josh and shiki would be an incredible duo if they do not kill each other in the first 20 minutes. rather, if she does not kill him. again. also this is probably just dream drop distance talking but joshua and rhyme's dynamic can be SO.

A NOTP I have with said character: i suppose i'm not the biggest enjoyer of him and haz, but honestly i don't really care that much.

A random headcanon: ok this is a pretty common one but that boy definitely killed himself. most dramatically ironic if he did it from falling or a gun but no matter what that boy died by his own hand before he tried doing it again through neku
