and its NEVER subtle, actually its super blatant every time and im always shocked when nobody points it out..

i have seen uncountable saiki k x readers where the description is like:

"saiki meets someone whose thoughts he cant read for the first time, and even though he doesnt trust her at first, she keeps proving that she is kind and has good intentions!" you mean nendo? reader is girl nendo?

"this time, he meets a girl whose thoughts honestly match up with her spoken words almost perfectly for the first time!" hairo. youre shipping saiki with girl hairo.

something i feel very strongly about is that the IT films do a bad job making the adults feel like friends. i don't know if it's a script issue, a directing issue, or an acting issue, but it's incredibly frustrating to me.

the movie does a great job showing close relationships between the losers in specific pairs (richie and eddie, ben and beverly, mike and bill), but otherwise they do not feel like friends to me (they almost get there in the jade scene, but nothing like in the miniseries, and the rest of the movie is awful in this regard). like you want me to believe eddie died and beverly and ben are just??? making out??? like richie is here sobbing on a rock and he loses his glasses and the other losers go looking and bev and ben are just???? kissing? like these are not beverly and ben these are imposters. like tell me why richie was the only one who showed any significant emotion over eddie dying. they were all friends, thats the whole goddamn point.

and idk what happens in the book, but the losers leaving eddie in the sewers is so stupid, like he is constantly noted to be tiny, and you're telling me none of the losers could carry him out? ben's whole thing (which i will be ranting about later because it pisses me off that ben had to get skinny and buff to be hot like shut the fuck up) is that he got buff and he couldn't pick up eddie? seriously? it makes no sense for the losers to leave him down there he hated the sewers the last place in the world that he would ever want to rest forever would be in a disgusting sewer. they love him and they know him they would never leave him down there

the relationships between the losers in the miniseries feel so much more substantial, yes richie and eddie are shown to be notably close, same with ben and bev, but that doesn't mean they don't all love each other. it's very notable to me that in the miniseries the losers are always touching each other, and not just in brief offhand ways, they lean into each other, they lay on each other, they caress each others faces. it isn't just that they love each other and are comfortable sitting close together on the couch or something, they are constantly actively touching each other, both because they love each other, and probably because they're so amazed to have each other back and want to commit their friends to memory. like literally any scene with more than one loser in it? they're touching each other or otherwise very close, whereas in the film you don't get that impression at all.

To everyone saying they didn't like the last chapter, do you know why suddenly adachitoka announced the ending when none of it felt complete at the time?

I mean i definitely dont know for sure, but its important to realize its likely the manga sales, they dropped off at some point so adachitoka had to wrap it up and not only that they have a many health issues cause hiatus over the years.

I know a majority of the fandom on tumblr reads fastmoons scans, i know i do and i know the economy is shit and lots of us cant even buy the volumes in support even so im not blaming anyone.

But you gotta cut the authors some slack here, they probably had so much left to tell and write and they probably wanted to explain the plotholes and fill in more info.

But because it was the end..they wanted to end it in a happy way and i believe thats just fine, i just finished reading it and im content with how it ended considering the circumstances.

Its okay to not like the ending i guess, but dont let the reason why be because of something the authors couldnt control.

I know its a monday night but I am a little drunk and need to talk about Sliders lore

he grew up in a small town in New Jersey and as far as small towns go it wasn't too bad. He lived with his mom and dad in an old farmhouse just on the outskirts of town. his neighbour was this sweet old lady who's grandson came to stay with her for the summer, that kid turned out to be none other than Tom Kazansky. once a week Ron would knock on his neighbours door and ask if he wanted to come play, but every time Tom stood behind his grandmothers leg and shook his head, until one summer when Ron's dad had just built him a new swing set, Tom finally nodded his head yes. It took a while for Tom to warm up to Ron but once he did they were inseparable, they became best friends and when they finally reached high school Tom somehow convinced his Marine Corp General father to let him stay with his grandma and go to high school with Slider.

Ron loved his parents, they got along really well and understood each other until his mother got sick. He was 17 when she got diagnosed and put in the hospital and he started skipping class to spend time with her in the hospital. Tom knew how much Ron's mom meant to him so he would let him copy his notes and summed up what happened in class for him, they both planned on applying to the naval academy next year so Ron had to keep his grades up. Ron's dad was not taking his wife's sickness well though, he started drinking and didn't know how to process anything well so he took it out on Ron, nothing too serious he never went further than words but its definitely something Ron never stopped carrying around. Ron rarely stayed at home during this time, he slept in his truck in empty parking lots or in Ice's room but sometimes that was still too close to his father. His mother got better about a year after she was diagnosed and was able to go back to her normal life, it took everyone a few years to really become a family again especially since Ron got accepted into the naval academy and left just a few moths after his mom returned home.

Ron and Tom were roommates at the academy, it was kind of a shock to Ron but Ice's experience with his dad helped him push through his first year. their second year was when Tom asked Ron if he wanted to be his RIO when they entered service, Tom had known Ron already gave up his Air Force dreams to join the navy with Tom and they got into an argument over that. Ron had always wanted to fly but he wanted to be the pilot, ever since the a10 entered service it had been his dream to fly it. He told Tom he wanted to go into the Air Force but agreed to join the navy with Tom since he would still be able to fly, but now Tom wanted him to give that up to fly with him. eventually Ron did agree, nothing was set in stone because they didn't exactly get to pick but they would do anything for it to be that way. Ron never stopped wanting to fly though.

Slider never liked the spotlight, maybe that was why he agreed to be Ices backseater, he preferred to go mostly unnoticed but still acknowledged. They developed their "new" personalities during training, Tom became Iceman and Ron became Slider. Slider rarely saw the shy kid hiding behind his grandmas leg anymore, he only came out when they were alone and Ice needed a break from being the Iceman, which was almost never. The first few years were hard for Slider, it was difficult feeling like he had to hide his true self, he was always a very kind and loving person, definitely his mothers son, but now he was better known as Ices guard dog because of how big he was. He was tall, buff and always had a hard expression, he was cocky, as is every fighter pilot.

during leave Slider would go back to visit his parents, around them he was able to be his true self again, it was a nice weight off his shoulders and his parents were really happy again after all they had been through, it was nice to be back home. he spent a lot of his free time driving around, he helped out a lot around town, if anyone needed help with anything they called Ron's dad who then sent Ron on his way. He insisted that everyone called him Ron there since nobody in the navy every called him that, and he wasn't Slider there, he was Ron, the guy who was always so sweet and just wanted to help other people. He was on a first name basis with just about everyone in town, not that he wasn't before but now he was more than just a teenager.

I find it kinda funny/interesting that Yuu is the only person without magic in this prestigious mage academy. People bribe their kids to get into this school. Royalty and celebrities gets sent to this school. The mirror only seeks out those with the potential that matches NRCs standards to attend. Then there is Yuu in this little monster cat that the Headmage allowed to attend.

I feel like if twst was like any other school drama, Yuu would be relentlessly bullied for this. It would be a whole side plot. Not only is Yuu magicless, they are not in any dorm, they live in a run down house, and they are poor. You’re telling me there isn’t some Draco Malfoy type little shit that would revel in making fun of Yuu for any of those reasons?  

Granted as the plot progresses and Yuu gains more allies in the Housewardens, people may bother them less and less. But still.
