(inspired by my friends! yet again!)

- Whenever Asher dies in a game due to lack of trying, he describes it as “playing with my meat out.” It’s terrible and instantly kills everyone in vicinity.

- Asher calls everyone but David a variation of “little bro.” David is instead given the wonderful title of “Big Dog.” He hates it.

- Angel plays Fortnite with Asher. Which sucks because they play on switch and it’s the worst possible way to play it. They refuse to touch the console simply because they are lazy.

- Baabe is a Glee enjoyer.

- Sweetheart has been begging everyone to play Lethal Company together because they find it absolutely hilarious.

- Milo is surprisingly not as adverse to the idea. He thinks the tiktoks that SH sends him of it are pretty funny. Actually playing it is horrifying though. He stays in the ship.

- David kinda adores Lethal Company.

- David tries to backseat whenever Angel plays a game that he likes.

- Whenever Darlin is gamer raging/jokingly insulting Asher, he responds with something like “You’re my friend and I care about you so much :) Did you know :)” It shuts Darlin up.

- Sam and David always take the lead when playing multiplayer horror games.

- Angel fucks with Roblox heavy. David absolutely does not get it.

- Asher does though.

- Milo had a soft spot for terrible medical dramas. His favorite is Grey’s Anatomy.

- Sweetheart watches it too but they get so stressed over the workplace atmosphere.

- David is a 60’s-70’s era anime enjoyer.

- Darlin’s top used emoji is the middle finger.

- Milo and Darlin are the same level of pussy when it comes to horror.

- Angel describes things as “yucky disgusting.”

- Sam and Baabe like playing chess together.

- Darlin constantly debates others on whether it not they could beat their faves in a fight.

- They are adamant on the idea that they could solo Gojo.

- Asher and Angel greet each other by going “Hey buddy!” in a strange little nerd voice.

- They all have little beaded bracelets. Angel got them for everyone during a trip to their hometown.

- Whenever David is explicitly affectionate towards someone besides Angel, they feel strangely frightened.

- Asher sends everyone slop content tiktoks and thinks they’re the funniest shit ever.

- His favorite currently is a clip of a Flash villain saying “and now I am the ruler of gorilla city and all of the gorillas will follow me.”

- Whenever someone says something mildly upsetting in the gc, Sam replies with “Jesus wept.”

- Whenever someone says something stupid, or unfunny, Milo responds with “That sucks, by the way.” It immediately makes the recipient rethink their life choices.

You’d think Mammon would be for Azul and the Tweels, but I’d rather not give him to them, perhaps Vil as well? Though their personalities are vastly different, Mammon is canonically a professional model. Don’t let him near Kalim. While I’m sure they’d be good friends, Mammon is the Avatar of Greed and Kalim would give him anything he wanted. 

Satan to give Leona a challenge in chess, and to complain about being in their brother’s shadow. (Leona with Farena and Satan with Lucifer)

Beel would be the best distraction for the Tweels and Azul. Sweet baby Beel would eat them out of house and home. Would probably also do the same for Jamil.

Belphie probably wouldn’t be a good distraction other than asking them to drag him somewhere for something. But he would probably be good nap-buddies with Silver and/or Leona.

Please, I beg of you, summon Diavolo, or contact Solomon or Simeon for Malleus. Not even as a distraction, I genuinely think they’d be good friends. Especially Diavolo and Malleus, because they really understand each others position!

If somehow able to get Luke to Twisted Wonderland, I’m sure Lilia would be a great babysitter.

considering your love of warriors, do you have any fic recs?

There are SO many amazing fics out there, and this is gonna sound INSANE coming from me but most of the fics I read are about Twilight 😭

There was this one fic series I read and loved and I can’t find it, but it was about Legend and Warriors and they kinda became buddies who had each other’s backs? All I remember was something about chess and Legend called Warriors Bluebell (and if anyone can find this fic for me i will owe you my LIFE i think about it AT LEAST once a every two weeks and I think I read it months ago) Edit: Two super awesome people found it, it’s called Broken Together by Flamingidiot on ao3

and then i gotta recommend one of my top 3 favorite fics EVER of all time and that would be Level One by LightBluScrubs on ao3. (IT IS COMPLETE!!)

It was written by someone who works in a trauma center and it’s an au about all of them working in a hospital and they all have their different roles to play to get Wild up and running again after a motorcycle accident. Twilight is the main character i think? But it focuses on all of them really, and you do get different povs. and I’m gonna be 100% honest: I wasn’t the biggest fan of modern au’s UNTIL I READ THIS FIC. (and, yknow, now I have au’s i myself am writing- don’t come at me, i’ve learned the error in my ways, i absolutely love au’s now they’re absolutely fantastic and amazing, i’ve learned i’ve repented)

is it intense at times? absolutely, and it’s a lot of medical stuff, but good lord above i reread it several times a months and i’ll probably go reread it after i hit the post button- the character relationships in that fic are so GOOD. AND ALL THEIR ROLES???? PERFECT. that kinda stuff ain’t for everyone but i love that fic so much and it’s absolutely everything to me, i love it DEARLY the ending made me tear up in the BEST way, it’s fantastic

so do you think if buck and tommy don't break up in episode 6 that they're gonna be breaking up the next time tommy appears which would be in 9 or 10 and it'll be a mutual/amicable break up because of Buck realizing his feelings for Eddie?

Why would they be breaking up in episode 6???

That’s never been a thing that would happen.

There are two options at play her really - the first is that they will come to some kind of natural conclusion in episode 9 or 10.

Or the second option is that they’ll end the season together and will end some time early in season 8.

Either way it may or may not have to do with a buck feelings realisation - neither get in the way of buddie if that is what you’re worried about. All the chess pieces are moving into place nicely - Eddie still has a way to go on his journey - he has a lot to work through and isn’t ready for Buck at all yet and the show is dropping anvils that that’s where they’re going with his arc - we just don’t have a timeline yet.

Buck getting to be happy and have a good relationship for a period - while he discovers more about himself and while Eddie does that work on himself is no bad thing. Buck will also get to grow and learn - and get to a place where he is also ready for Eddie - for forever. Because as things stand right now - I don’t think Buck would handle a feelings realisation well at all - in fact I think it would be detrimental to buddie. For starters buck doesn’t really know how to have a healthy relationship - all of his have been some level of toxic. Secondly, tying bucks newly awakened queer identity to his feelings for Eddie in that way - so quickly - would potentially send buck spiralling at this moment in time in an unhealthy way- slowly figuring it out over time as he dates Tommy is a much more interesting narrative - and plays into why they’ve chosen to have Tommy be such an obvious version of Eddie - we the audience know and can see what’s going on but oblivious buck (being true to character and being oblivious!) slowly connecting the dots - in a way that frustrates the audience - the pay off for us is far more satisfying - and it’s a more realistic story and more ground breaking for a queer love story on network television!

We don’t want them to rush together because buddie is end game - the last relationship either will ever have - so then getting to a great place individually before they start something is really great and really important.

Plus don’t forget this cat and mouse type narrative is fun too - buck fell first but didn’t realise - Eddie fell harder but didn’t realise until he got shot - then Eddie had to hide it - then he had a grief spiral ,Buck in a coma) - then he got so good at keeping it buried he started dating Marisol - at which point Buck had an almost epiphany but has mistaken it for Tommy rather than Eddie.

Eddie who is now unpacking the bit of himself that will allow him to actually embrace his queer identity. Eddie who panicked - asked Marisol to move in with him when he realised Buck was single again - then decided to only back track a bit rather than ending things when he realised Buck wasn’t in fact single and was also bi and now dating Tommy - because being single and alone when the man you’ve been in love with for so long is no longer single and is now actually in a relationship with a man - that means he was an option is not a fun place to be - so staying in a relationship that’s meh but ok is preferable to him.

Basically - the show seems to be setting this up for a full arc in 8a, leading to buddie canon. I genuinely at this point don’t think they’re doing to have any form of Eddie actually stating his queerness in the rest of 7 - I think they will continue to make it blatantly obvious thats where it’s headed but I think they’ll save his story for 8a - which is the best place for it imo - where it can be done properly.

So why shouldn’t buck get to be happy with Tommy for a bit in the meantime?? He’s earnt it!

I finished rereading SVSSS Volume 2 and was focusing more on the story this time, because I remember Volume 1 best, so I didn’t really stop to post about it. A random assortment of thoughts in no particular order:

Gongyi Xiao is the Bestest Boy. I remembered him being good, but reading it again was like, “Awwwww, buddy.” Poor guy. He deserved more!

Shen Qingqiu and Luo Binghe are such a mess in this volume. It’s like two people trying to play chess against each other but they’re somehow using two different boards for it. No one wants to be playing this game! But everyone keeps insisting on it while crying and boards are getting flipped! (I guess in this metaphor, Zhuzhi-Lang is eating the pieces when no one is looking.)

The sower demons are genuinely creepy.

I want to call Luo Binghe’s invasion of Cang Qiong a clown show, but that would be an insult to clowns. Moshang have such limited appearances in the main story, but they are ridiculous.

Sha Hualing having a Bad Guy Lair is really funny. I forgot about that.

Over the course of this volume, Shen Yuan suggests that Liu Qingge is asexual and then suggests that Luo Binghe is asexual (before figuring out that Luo Binghe is into him). But he’s definitely an ordinary straight guy, for sure!

Every time Sha Hualing loses her top (which is... at least three times... I think?), Shen Yuan mentally censors her breasts. I didn’t forget this because I see people mention it periodically, but I forgot just how funny it is.

Shen Yuan scheming to get Liu Qingge to take on Yang Yixuan as a disciple was really cute, actually. He’s such a softie. He just wants to be nice!

When he’s talking about Liu Qingge’s lack of disciples at the very beginning of the volume, Shen Yuan describes how Bai Zhan works, and the phrasing kind of suggests that Bai Zhan changes peak lords every time that a Bai Zhan disciple bests their shizun. It does not work like this, but it would be kind of funny if the other peaks are strictly following some cycle to choose the next generation of peak lords and Bai Zhan is just switching peak lords whenever.

I don’t forget this trait because it’s one of my favorite things about him, but I’m always struck rereading by how quiet and thoughtful Luo Binghe can be. He gets extremely attached to Shen Qingqiu in Volume 1 and he’s dealing with severe mental and emotional instability throughout Volume 2, but Luo Binghe is often reserved or somber or even cold when not dealing with Shen Qingqiu.

Binghe really just took over Huan Hua Palace and says that the Old Palace Master has gone “traveling”. Yeah, he’s doing some wandering cultivation. It’s like a vacation. Don’t worry about it. :) The Little Palace Mistress is clearly becoming impatient with this excuse and I’m betting that the number of people at Huan Hua Palace who 100% believe the excuse is very, very low.

Shen Yuan returning in the plant body only to have to listen to how he’s become gossip fodder is funny. But Liu Mingyan going, “Ah, that’s how it is,” and then proceeding to write the Resentment of Chunshan is even funnier. Shen Yuan is in the middle of being kidnapped by Zhuzhi-Lang and suddenly has to listen to a song about him and Binghe fucking all the time. Zhuzhi-Lang desperately trying not to lose his shit laughing in the background is my favorite part of this scene. Shen Yuan’s horror at least works well as a distraction!

Also, I love that Shen Yuan went, “You have money? I want women,” and Zhuzhi-Lang just went with it. It’s so obviously an escape plan to the readers. Zhuzhi-Lang probably also suspects that something is up. He’s not an idiot. But maybe a part of him is accustomed to absurd demands from Tianlang-Jun and kind of views “Hey, let’s go check out what music the brothels are playing now!” as a normal desire for people to express?

It’s tempting to write fics in which Shen Yuan just gives the false jade pendant back immediately. Do I think it would automatically fix everything? Nope! But it sure would be fun to watch the characters spin.

Brad Wayne, but instead of finding out the other Wayne’s are the Bats, he just finds out random secrets that stem from them being Bats. Bruce spent a few months in a Himalayan monetary, Dick almost married Starfire, Barbara owns a whole clocktower, Jason designed super bullets, et cetra.

Ohhhh yes. Brad may be stupid but he’s not an idiot, he knows when something’s strange and he’s got a good enough memory to write down the stuff he hears. He really just thinks they’re strange and traumatized, however. When the family finally thinks he’s not going to connect the dots and decide to mess with him, they don’t realize he’d remember all of it and write it down to try and tell his guys about them what. Looking back at the list doesn’t make him confident that they’ll believe him, though.

- Bruce was penpals/chess buddies with the penguin

- Bruce isn’t actually an alcoholic he just wants an excuse to get away from conversation

- Dick owns a circus and was a cop. And a museum curator. And a male model (note to self just check his IMDB) probably indecision from his parents not being around?

- Dick grew up with an elephant and still visits it sometimes, so sad

- They all speak at least 5 languages (proof: Bruce and totally-not-Jason-Todd argued about ice cream in like Ukrainian or something and then switched to some kind of Asian language)

- Jason is also legally dead so maybe he’s a ghost or something but that doesn’t explain how he attends Shakespeare book club with Alfred. Maybe Alfred can see ghosts? PTSD?

- Tim is like 17 and runs some of the company but didn’t even really graduate school ??

- Damian has a pet cow and also grew up on a remote island

- Dick was engaged to Starfire TWICE

- Stephanie’s dad was Cluemaster (really bad spin-off of the riddler) which explains why she’s good at wordle

- Alfred has so many guns but Bruce doesn’t really do anything about it, something about Alfred having been a spy in the past? Dude can do makeup like no one’s business tho

- Damian has even more family on his mom’s side but won’t talk about them other than the fact that his brother’s name is Respawn, what kinda name is that ?

- Pretty sure Tim only knows how to make soup. Also his friend looks JUST like Superman it’s crazy

Casey’s getting up in Blake’s face in the clubhouse.

“You think you’re a big man,” he says, puffing up his chest and shoving himself into Blake’s space. “You think you’re so much bigger than me, huh? Big guy? Big tough guy?”

They’re nose to nose. Blake has two inches and like, maybe, fifteen pounds on Casey. At best. At best. They’re basically the same size.

“Yeah,” he says. “I’m so much bigger.” He makes a face, pushes his chest against Casey’s. “Bigger than you in every way–”

Yaz whips a towel at their hips as he passes. “Steady,” he says, mildly, when they both yelp and bump foreheads. “Someone might think you two don’t like each other.”

Casey wraps an arm around Blake’s neck while Blake’s distracted by Yaz and pulls him down to his chest. “Me and some of the guys were going out after,” he hisses in his ear. “Come out with me.”

Yaz throws his towel over Blake’s head and wanders off, singing to himself. Some rock song Blake can’t place while he’s distracted by Casey choking him. Yaz has a very gentle singing voice, Blake thinks.

“Bla-ake,” sings Casey. He throws the towel on the floor and presses his mouth a little too close to Blake’s head. “Bla-ake, come on, buddy, say yes. Please?”

Blake wraps an arm around Casey’s waist. Casey makes a soft noise. Blake pinches his hip as hard as he can and Casey drops him with an indignant yell. Blake stumbles forward and nearly falls over the Rogers twins’ chess game. Casey grabs his arm and yanks him back in time. The Rogers twins and their two-man audience of the Pitcher Alexs do not notice at all.

Casey wraps his arms around Blake’s chest and pins Blake against him. “Bro,” Blake says. He flops backwards against Casey, tired of the roughhousing. “If I say yes, will you knock it off?”

“If you say yes, will you actually come out with us?”

Blake will, this time, actually. Casey might still be mad about a couple weeks ago, when Blake said he would come out, and then he got too tired and bailed after the game. Or the time after that, where Sean was sad, so Blake left Casey alone with Pat and Tristan and Logan, which is like, not even a bad group of people to go out and get beers with. Casey was pretty steamed for some reason, but in that way where he looked uncharacteristically forlorn and subdued the next day, to the point that Kap asked if he was okay.

“Yes,” says Blake. “Promise.”

Casey hums a pleased sound. He squeezes Blake’s chest and lets go, pushing him away gently. “Yo Craw,” he yells across the club house. “Brandon! Craw! Brandon!” He bounds off.

Steve’s never been one to put off unpleasant business so he turns his suddenly leaden feet toward Joe’s cell.  Robert, tonight’s watch, nods in acknowledgement and then slides down the hallway to give Steve a semblance of privacy even though Steve knows that if Joe talks loudly the sound will easily carry 

“Joe,” Steve greets his former mentor.

“Steve,” Joe returns as he sits up, coming to stand a few feet away but not reaching for the barred door between them. 

Steve doesn’t know what to say. He’s rooted to the spot and feels the weight of any decision pinning him in place. He’d purposefully taken Joe off the chess board but now he doesn’t know what to do.  Does he release Joe?  If he does, then what will Joe do?  Will he alert Doris and help her spirit Wo Fat away again so he can return to haunt Steve’s life and hurt more people?  Or will Joe simply fade back into his retirement with a home base in Montana and floating in with the other tourists from time to time to visit?  

“Steve,” Joe calls softly, pulling his attention back to the older seal.  Joe looks tired, the lines around his eyes from years of exposure to the outdoor elements seem deeper and less like laugh lines than they used to.  He’s aged years in a span of days and Steve hates it. “You got him, I see.”

“I did.” The words stick in Steve’s throat which has gone drier than the desert. 

“I’m glad you corrected my mistake.” Joe says gently and closes the distance between them, leaning on the bars of his cell.  They’re not quite touching but they could be if Steve let them. 

“So it was a mistake?”

“It was.  I let your mother—“

“Don’t call her that.  She doesn’t deserve that honor,” Steve cuts in and corrects with a viciousness that he didn’t know he was harboring, tamping down on the urge to say something worse about the woman who’d birthed him.

Joe tilts his head, studying Steve and then slowly nods.  “You’re right.  Doris.  Doris knows my weak spots and she played into them.  It’s not an excuse but an explanation—I don’t expect your forgiveness.”

“What if I want to give it?”  Steve isn’t sure he does want to forgive Joe but he dislikes this entire conversation and hasn’t made a decision about forgiveness yet. 

Joe leans back and sighs.  “I haven’t earned that, Steve.  Sitting in here?  This is just me making it easier for you to do your job at this point.”

“I have to let you out at some point,” Steve mulishly points out. 

Another shrug.  “I suppose you do—and I have a possible suggestion.”

“Suggestion?”

“Allow me to correct my mistake.”

Steve doesn’t follow.  “What do you mean?” 

“Allow me to correct my mistake,” Joe repeats, not clarifying. 

Crossing his arms over his chest, Steve resists the urge to growl in frustration.  Joe’s not giving details because he either wants Steve to have plausible deniability or he’s going to pull something that Steve is going to regret and Steve isn’t sure which it is.   “I’m going to need you to lay this one out for me.”

“My mistake was allowing Wo Fat to escape the nice little maximum security hole you’d stuck him in.”

“And what?  You’re going to take him back to Colorado?”

Joe doesn’t confirm or deny. “I will put him in a place he won’t be able to crawl out of—even with Doris’ help.”

- Catelyn will stay prisoner for a little while longer until Robb finds out the Kingslayer is back in custody and…idk

- Robb is gonna go talk to what’s his face (Walder Frey) and get the other half of his army and march on Lannister Land [ohhhhh😬; if only that’s how this show worked]

- Jon is either gonna link up with his buddies and escape or march on the wall and be like “I’m free now”[He said if I was him I wouldn’t want to be any part of that march between five different people]

- Sansa might go back and hang out with her old lady friend at some point, he thinks she also want to get the fuck out of there. But isn’t she about to be betrothed to what’s-his-face? (Loras). Sansa will either do that or the queen will Marry Loras and maybe she’ll go with little finger. Who’s this bitch gettin married to?🤔 [Lmao kinda but we take the long route😂]
