Aha, I'm less in the know than you think!! But I can assure you there IS a new trigun, trigun stampede, a reboot which seems to have different takes on some of the characters and themes!! I've not seen it yet and don't plan to for a while (I'm trying very hard to be kind to my brain and at least let the og settle in my head as I read the manga), but what I've heard sounds super cool!!

#in honesty i find the art style a little offputting (it's 3d and i'm sure i'd get used to it given the chance #but rn it feels like looking at a video game) #and i've heard mixed reviews on the character portrayals-- mainly that everyone seems younger and ww is edgier? #my main problem is they REMOVED MILLY #and replaced her with SOME GUY #WHAT COULD POSSIBLY JUSTIFY THAT. i read invincible by amy lawrence (thanks @gendercents for the rec iirc??) which is a sports reporting book! i'm always trying to read a very broad range of genres so i don't get bored.

hmm, without actually going through my libby stats book by book, probably gender queer by maia kobabe? it's a graphic novel so i'm not sure it counts for speed, but i distinctly remember borrowing the ebook, immediately opening it, and reading the entire thing at my desk in like an hour.

7 - I think I wish more people talked about dealing with disabilities and the diagnostic process without a support system (especially family). a lot of online creators especially on youtube either don't talk about that or their experience is/was having a support system they could fall back on when doctors were being shitty. also known as just being doctors. which as a young teenager being told I was "just stressed" when I actually have an autoimmune disease attacking my brain and More.... it could have been really meaningful to have Something that explained like. you are not Wrong. the people around you just fucking suck.

15 - for me disability pride is a lot about working towards being proud of myself even if/when I can't live up to the expectations of people who don't understand? I find I less want to promote awareness and more want to work on actually. being able to like and be proud of myself as I am with my disabilities and limitations.

16 - this is the question that made this take so long because I wanted to Find the post I am thinking of and make sure I was Correct. there was this post that crossed my dash a while ago that was like. drawing of Twitter discourse as an ouroboros. and then following that was the same thing but with the twitter bird logo. and the person who did the image description (as they were *not* on the original posts) described them as emojis rather than drawings/art/whatever. and it didn't like Start anything but a couple comments were made like "this is art drawn by [person] actually". which prompted Someone to add in the tags a comment which amounted to "do you not know people draw emojis". so the original poster responds that yes of course emojis have artists. these are not Technically emojis. so they said it because they Know who drew it, it was their friend who was not credited in the description...

so all of that to say. i don't think there was anything Wrong with that though im a little...on the fence...about people directly responding to/interacting with image descriptions.

but when it is the creator of the post! if you have corrections just. add the description with your changes to the original post. but also just. the comment of "this artist was not credited in the description" just kind of stood out as many people just generally are not very aware of the purpose of image descriptions. most people know they exist and are an accessibility tool for blind people but. if the artist signature isn't in the image. why would it be in the description. the same goes for IDs that are in small text, or only in alt text, stuff like that. which I don't often bring up to anyone online because it is. so frustrating to me. I lost a majority of my sight in about a year and a half which is a very short time so the frustration is probably amplified by that, too. but I Really wish more people would actually take the time to figure it out themselves.

also on that same topic. if you are not the original poster and you are making an image description. please Don't add comments before/after the ID. do that in a separate reblog.

Favourite colour: Pink purple and blue in that order, tied for first place. My desk is pink and green themed, my hair is purple, my switch lite is the blue one, most of the gifts from family i get are pink, theyre just good colors that go well together and i love them.

Currently watching: I'm currently in the like last quarter of this youtube video, its from a house cleaning channel, that cleans hordes and otherwise extremely cluttered/dirty houses for free with a very like. refreshingly kind point of view and with like. silly dad humor interspersed to keep it lighter. This video is the worst house theyve had to clean, and they only had two days, so like its a grosser video with a less than ideal end point, so maybe watch some other ones first if you want to like do a vibe check n check out the channel? He does some uh armchair diagnosis but all in the "this is what i think might be the cause of this" and a very informed kind way, and doesnt share the people's faces or names and such. This channel was what inspired me to clean up my own room, it was nowhere near as bad as these houses but he emphasizes that everyone should have a clean and pleasing space to live that fits within their means and aesthetic and he also talked about what he throws away and what he doesnt, and how he organizes it, so that was all just rattling around in my brain enough for me to actually make my space nice again.

Sweet/savory/spicy: Sweet!! I love pastries i love pb+chocolate i love sugar i love fruits. I also love savoury but mmmmmm <3 sweet <3

Honestly, I'm such a night owl that, sometimes, the reward is to turn in for bed at long last. But, other times, it's closing out all the tabs I'd had open for research (always a joy, I swear!) and then heading off to play whatever video game I told myself I couldn't (or shouldn't) until finishing the project.

Nutmeg ⇢ how’s your room/home decorated? do you have a specific theme or style going on? We live in small apartment right now, and there's not a whole lot of room for decoration. We actually do have some wall art that needs to be hung up - I have a few landscape paintings from the same vendor at our state renaissance faire, and I think a sketch of dragons playing Humans and Houses. I also have a a signed McElroy live show poster, and four photos from Venice I got at an art festival as a youngin', and we each have some family photos. My partner also does those model kits, and we have a couple on our bookshelves. When we have more liberty to decorate, I'd love to have more plants (probably fake, since I have a black thumb) and a couple of wall murals.

Papyrus ⇢ if you put your ‘on repeat’ playlist on shuffle, what’s the first song that comes up? what do you like about it / associate it with? Ooh, let's do my pre-2000s playlist... and it's Dreams by the Cranberries! I associate this so much with Derry Girls, and the idea of falling in love and growing up and growing old and changing. It's tender and raw and utterly perfect.

Daffodil ⇢ do you have siblings? if yes, in what ways do you think you’re similar to or different from them? Oof, I have two younger brothers. The oldest one and I are pretty much opposites, he's very athletic and popular at school. The youngest one and I are more similar, he's definitely nerdier, and enjoys Dungeons and Dragons. There's a decent age difference between me and them, but it gave me the opportunity to treasure watching them grow up, and they saw me as their cool big sister, so I'll always be grateful for that.

I am curious about what the scene is in some say it's a blessing 👀 (the one that you wrote the fic around)

ooh yes!! so for some say it's a blessing, the scene i wrote the fic around was the very last one, where (spoilers) jim and olu discover that their soulbond has disappeared because they've won through to a future where they no longer need it. the entire fic was written toward that ending, and with that concept in mind.

but, um, actually, there's... an entire nother fic that got combined with some say. it was gonna be a shorter fic (2-3k) called "where the hearts hung to harden", a jim & ed s2 fic in which jim tries to assassinate ed and ends up having a heart to heart instead. and that fic was planned around this idea:

“What did you think was going to happen?” they demand.

On the other side of the desk, Blackbeard comes to a stop. He tilts his head, expression cool in the darkness. “You’ve been separated from Oluwande Boodhari before, and you found your way back. I assumed you would do it again.”

that became the set piece in part 2 of some say (which also got the title). (seriously, i am crossing my fingers so hard for "the crow" by dessa to be a jim & ed s2 song.) once i started thinking about some say, i realized they'd go great together, so i condensed my plan for the fight scene and wrote it in terms of the soulbond au!
