Since so many people like giving Tim Jason’s backstory of childhood neglect and malnourishment, i think he should also get the attendant prejudices.
Bruce had to take in tim to save him from a life of crime. Look, he has already sunken to stalking and theft. (He even stole that dead boys clothes.) But it was too late. Even Batman couldn’t resist fate, and tim gave in and accepted a life of criminal violence. One of bruce’s greatest failures really.

I have a gripe about the Star Trek mugs...
Picard's teacup is a delicate, fragile little thing held by a strip of plastic and a dream. That thin glass will break if you look at it sideways. And where do they put that ridiculous tiny cup? On the Enterprise, which is always being dragged into conflict

The DS9 raktajino mugs are hefty, wide-based things that are meant to not tip over. They're called no-spill mugs. They have a foam piece on the bottom so they don't slip. They're incredibly sturdy – meant for ships and traveling! Where do they put them? At the station, which is arguably the most stable place they could be cause DS9 rarely gets knocked about.

Far as I'm concerned, Janeway's the only one doing practical space mugs correctly. Come on, a metal travel mug that's as strong as her coffee is black? Takes a beating through 70,000 light years of bridge shakes fighting off the Borg and the Hirogen and still holds a hot drink? Now that's a space mug

What are your weaknesses?
You think you can come for me so brazenly? You think those sunglasses veil your intentions? I see through this ruse. If you come for my empire, I will not set a blade in your hand. You must fight using your own strength rather than looking for the fingerprints at my ankle where my mother held me in the River Styx.

hello 2018 dbh fandom. before you are two characters. one is a woman with complex but clumsy writing. the other is a white man with no spoken lines who appears for less than a minute. you have 10 seconds before the saw traps go off. choose wisely.

Reblog and put in the tags what your current career/degree is* vs the career/degree that, in retrospect, you should have gone into, knowing what you now know about yourself.
(This is NOT your dream job (who dreams of labor lol), but rather the career that your 18yo self didn’t know to explore/wasn’t encouraged to choose)
* please be as vague as needed so as not to doxx yourself 🙏 internet safety first always

I don’t think the Rat Grinders are irredeemable or whatever but I DO think a lot of people are putting the onus on Brennan specifically to redeem them or “write them a redemption arc”, like yes it is a show and there has to be character narratives especially for foils to your PCs, but ttrpgs are fundamentally a /collaborative/ storytelling medium, the thing about DnD is that the players have to invest in the NPCs, they have to give them the time and space to redeem themselves through interacting with them, the reason we see characters like Aelwyn and Ragh get a redemption arc & change and develop is because the Bad Kids went out of their way to talk to them (In Aelwyn’s case Adaine had to commit to redeeming her sister on multiple occaisions). Lets not forget there have been other teen villains, like Penelope, Dayne and Biz who the Bad Kids just straight up killed in combat, who didn’t get redeemed. Do I think it’s fully possible that the Rat Grinders can experience redemption/forgiveness and it would be narratively satisfying? Absolutely! But, imo, a lot of the narrative thrust behind wether a character gets redemption is in the hands of the players, and it would be a little bit unsatisfying if being freed from their rage crystals immediately gave them all full personality transplants (like removing all of Kipperlily’s anger and ambition for example)
