So I've started playing Telltale Walking Dead with a friend and I just watched the last scene with Clementine and Lee in season 1 and I need to talk about it because it's so good both from a storytelling perspective and a game design perspective and both and I just need to talk about it though I'm sure everyone has already heard it before.
There's a million things about that scene that I love so I'll prolly rant about it again later but right now I'm goin with the bit where it intertwines the gameplay with the narrative really well in that way you can only get with the medium of video games, where the gameplay provides a unique vehicle for the story that you can't get in other forms of media.
Cause the way Lee progressively gets further and further towards the progression of becoming a walker ultimately passing out and waking up somewhere new with Clementine having dragged him in there and called that shot is the first hint of it being someone other than Lee making the big choices, and from that moment the focus of gameplay begins to shift, not a lot at first but just enough, when you get up and walk to the other side of the room it's not just Lee you're moving along as you walk it's Clementine with him, as the gameplay begins to slowly pass the torch, until Lee gives out and can no longer move and from then it gets really good.
Cause oh my god the way the rest of that scene (and therefore the game) plays out being Lee calling out to Clementine, telling her what to do, and her taking all the action, makes it so that while you are still Lee, fundamentally, you're playing as Clementine, making the transition between the two, both as the player characters and as the in universe transfer of the responsibility of survival, the weight of the world that Lee can no longer protect her from, feel much more real and impactful as it's literally changing the way you as the player are engaging with the world itself. It's that sort of thing that makes me love the narrative potential of video games so much, the way you can wrap the player up in how the game and the characters work and use that interactivity as a means to incite feelings and impact the experience. The narrative potential of video games as a medium is so incredible and that scene did so good with it I love it for that.

Are you a student who is unable to donate to Palestine, but still want ways to show your support?
Me too! Unfortunately, searching up ways for students who can't drive, spend money, or drop school for a week to show solidarity for Palestine just comes up with "centrist" (if not blatantly pro-israel) articles for teachers telling them how to stay neutral during discussions with students. So! Here are some ways that I've thought of to bring pro palestine sentiment into your school and community! You are more than encouraged to add on any ideas of your own!
Wear shirts, pins, or anything outwardly pro palestine. If you can't find something, make it.
Email your representatives. Email Congress. Email the White House, or whatever your country's equivalent would be. Let the people in charge know you want a ceasefire
Talk to your local library about holding an educational night about the genocide, and/or about Palestinian culture.
Talk to your peers. Find people who share your views. Create a fuss together.
Talk to your teachers about it. Having an authority figure on your side could make things so much easier for you.
Make stickers, posters, pamphlets, etc to put up around your school, town/city, anywhere you can.
Educate yourself on anti-palestine talking points and how to refute them in a calm and logical manner. (Palestinian Toolkit is a great website for that)
Speak up! It's fucking scary, but if you can, don't let people's bigotry go unchecked. (You can use knowledge from the last point to make it easier to talk)
But also, know when to give up. It sucks, but not everyone is worth wasting your time debating. Some people won't change their mind no matter what.

if yall ever want like serious advice from me about how to solve burnout as a creative it's like...
literally ignore it. stop pushing. go do something else, enjoy your life, fill it with other things, do what brings you joy in the moment if you can.
go to the gym, take a walk to touch grass and look at dogs and smell flowers, cook dinner, watch tv with your friends, talk about your feelings as needed with ppl you trust, take a drive and blast your music, do the chores you need to do, the job hunting slog you need to do, read books that aren't for research, stop cordoning off your brain for The Craft or The Draft or whatever the fuck
forget about the project, stop thinking about it for as long as it takes to be excited again.
fuckin rest, basically

The pishacha are manifestations of evil itself, locked within a cursed amulet. The wearer of the amulet is at the mercy of the demon, known for possessing humans and feeding off their host's chakra energy. However, if symbiosis is achieved, the pishacha can grant its host a myriad of powerful abilities.
I just needed to draw something cool okay. I needed to draw some cool goop and some cool looks okay. okay. if I didn't post this I would have exploded okay

When I was thinking about my own headcanons for TLT, I realized that as the only other surviving "child", Ortus as the "older brother" probably had to keep the feral lesbians from killing each other with their teeth.
And of course being encouraged in his poetry by (probably) Gideon, to piss off Harrow.
(I just like how the three surviving children are two feral lesbians, and a mucusy poet.)

Clockwork sees how stressed Danny is from trying to be the goodest boy and never do anything remotely bad that could turn him evil and thinks he may have overdone it. At this rate his panic over never doing anything evil is going to force him to emotionally burn out and stop caring. Then he'll turn evil anyway.
So Clocky does something that sounds completely ridiculous in theory. He scoops Danny up and drops him into a universe full of superheros and villains and tells him to "Do whatever you want. There will be no consequences for you." Then he leaves.
And just like that, Danny goes apeshit. He decides to do the one thing he always wanted to do but was too afraid to because he didn't want to be judged, or worse, forced to join his parents.
He becomes a supervillian. Not as Phantom, no. But as Fenton! He goes full super genius mad scientist and terrorizes whatever city he's in. The local superhero is being driven insane as Danny builds death rays, shrink rays, his own modified version of the GAV, ect.
The best part if that the local heros can never catch him for long and when he is caught he always escapes before he is transported to whatever facility they wanted him in. He always ends up back in his home dimension where he goes back to acting normal and no one from either human dimension or the Infinite Realms knows what he's up to (except the stop watch of course)
After a particularly fun day in which Danny highjacks all broadcasting services to teach everyone in the world how to make insulin at home so you didn't have to pay a ridiculous amount for necessary medication, the Justice League was now on his tail.
Danny just laughs, thinking there's no way they'd ever be able to arrest him. Little does he know some guy calling himself Batman is leading the mission and he has no intention of arresting him. Danny, much to his horror, becomes far to familiar with adoption papers. As in he keeps having to set them on fire.
