I promised myself I would try posting my edits on Tumblr, especially those I'm most proud of. So here's Cole and some headcanons I have for him!

Cole is Afro-Colombian-Chinese due to Lou being a Chinese surname and Lilly coming from Latin America. Colombia has the biggest African population in all of Latin America. (Also, I've lived here for 10+ years, so I'm hella biased.)

Smells like a mix of sage and pine

Cole is like Disney's Hercules. You get Cole not knowing why he’s been weirdly stronger than the other kids, and he’s been called a freak because of it. With his dad wanting him to be something he isn’t and these brand new powers, he feels lost, unsure of where he belongs. This doesn’t get better when he’s forced to go to the academy. So, he drops out and tries to find his own way. It wasn’t until he met with Sensei Wu that he finally got the answers he wanted. Understanding his powers, understanding a part of who he is, and, most importantly, starting the journey to understand where he belongs

With or without his element, he is very strong. I headcanon that he has a rock climber's body, but he also has the most muscles in the ninja team. I like to think Cole often lifts weights to help boost his super strength, which has come in handy when he lost his element before. Seeing Ninjago for the second time, I've noticed that when the ninja lose their element due to circumstances, Cole is still really strong. Like in Season 1, during the GD finale, when he threw a car at the GD.

Cole was the ninja team leader until Sons of Garmadon when Lloyd was mentally old enough to try the leadership role. I strongly stand firm to this because after Lloyd was aged physically by Tomorrow's Tea, there's no way he should have been the leader at such a young age.

Cole's hobbies include rock climbing, archery, dancing, drawing, and cooking.

Cole is actually a good cook. After Lilly died, he had to cook for himself and his dad for many years. The only reason his cooking fails is that people tamper with his recipes; thus, they don't end up so good.

In honor of Kirby Morrow (RIP KING!), Cole doesn't just like cake. His favorite is Ice Cream Cake, especially hot Fudge Swirl Chocolate Ice Cream Cake.

Cole, minus Zane, because he was homeschooled by Dr Julien, has the most education of the ninjas. He went to school for quite a few years extra compared to the others and went to the Marty Oppenheimer School of Performing Arts before he dropped out two or three days later. I'd like to think Cole actually liked school and learning, but when his dad forced the performing arts on him, his love for school was immediately cut short.

Cole would have gotten into an art degree if he hadn't been forced into the Marty Oppenheimer School of Performing Arts. He seems to really enjoy drawing and sketching.

Cole is hairy. He can't grow a moustache to save his life, but he has hair on his legs, arms, and chest. Maybe in his future, he'll finally grow something on his face but as of right now (not counting DR seasons), he can only dream of the glorious beard or moustache he will have.

I truly apologise but I've never found a character more irritating than Ruby Rocks. craig has a very good relationship with his father (i don't acknowledge tfbw thomas on this blog, throw the entire man away... my blog is based primarily around show!thomas)

it's not as healthy as it could be bc both of them are Men who have problems addressing their emotions, but they genuinely care for each other and open up to each other where it counts. craig is a lil more open with his mother, more willing to cry around her, but that doesn't mean that his father has never seen him cry and has never supported him through it. he's a good dad, even if he's a lil on the emotionally constipated side, and craig loves him so much.

i have a couple of aus where craig is separated from his father / his father dies (namely my apocalyptic / dystopian verses), and the loss really messes him up

this lil guy and his dad might flip each other off at every available opportunity, but if he has to go without his father's love and support in his life, he will crumble

I dont think i have ever mentioned nick on this blog bc hes an oc that has. Nothing to do with kurt or in common w him but looking at him next to kurt actually is so interesting to me because they're both around the same age coming from abusive homes and trying to just do what they have to to survive and theres so many interesting parallels between them

#i think they both have this. put side to side its like. they have this spectrum of how grown up a person can be in their early 20s #kurt has a very young feeling to his age and you'd believe hes younger than he is. hes immature #hes incapable of a lot of things and depends heavily on his parents and as a single child hasn't had much opportunity to learn from others #and just generally tends to feel a lot younger especially since his trauma makes him shrink down and age regress a little #whereas nick. hes spent so many years being the older brother and while he did have joe being older he still felt this huge responsibility #and he put it on himself to be the protector of his brothers esp when joe went to college so he had to grow up young #and his history of abusing substances has in many ways aged him #and he has this thing this. he got out of that house and he got free but the moment his brothers need him he moves back in #he faces down the abuse again and almost dies for it because his brothers needed him #and its something kurt never experiences because he never has the protective drive for a sibling #when he ends up back at that house it is because kurt feels too weak to stand on his own feet #when nick does it its because he knows he can be strong enough to endure long enough to protect his brothers #and theres a Lot about nick that makes him more grown up than kurt emotionally #and i do think being a single dad to a baby is very very heavily involved in that but thats a whole other thing #if/when kurt has a baby he shifts to be more grown up tok but thats not the point of this #i started this saying they have nothing in common but they r v similar actually and maybe they should kiss #i ship a lot of my muses w kurt simply bc he deserves all the love #god i love nick i miss him catch me yelling on my multi ab him

i just spent an hour watching a video of 2 people reading and explaining the plot of November 9th and that book was definitely an experience....

#like the plot twist is fucked up on it's own but then her saying to him that he hadnt done anything wrong and asking him to forgive her? #like dude burnt her dad's house and she almost died bc he thought he was the reason his mom killed herself #even tho she had explained in a note that he never read that there were other reasons #and then 2 years later the dude stalked the girl. started pretending to be her boyfriend unprompted! and then they had this weird #relationship that is not even a relationship like they only see eachother for a few hours once a year and they do not talk in the between #and every single time they meet she ends up crying but she claims she loves him #also they are literal teenagers #anyway now i can justifiably say that i dislike coho #jo says stuff #books
