🦇🦇IT'S BATMAN DAY!!! 🦇🦇

The Dark Knight is my favorite superhero, so it would be remiss of me to let the day pass without honoring him! To represent, here are some pictures of my favorite animated versions of the Caped Crusader!🦇❤️ (Mostly animation designs by Bruce Timm)

These animated Bats were chosen also, because they're voiced by 3 of my favorite voice actors who gave life to Batman! It should come as no surprise that I would choose to mostly represent those voiced by Kevin Conroy, as he is THE VOICE I associate most with the World's Greatest Detective!

Jason O'Mara & Bruce Greenwood and their respective Batmans, are very different, but in all the best ways! Through them, we get to see how they interpreted Batman and how they chose to bring him to life in new ways! They're fantastic editions to not only the DCU, but also to the wide range of men who have 'been' Batman before them and to those who have and will come after!

The way I completely lose all interest in Lawlight as a ship if Light isn't Kira. And frankly, I feel like L would agree with me on this one. I don't think he'd gaf abt Light in the slightest if Light wasn't Mr. Serial Killer.

#Lawlight only works if Light is Kira bc otherwise light is just some rly smart pretentious teenager.#Like you're telling me L a 24 y/o self made multi-millionaire and the world's greatest detective (top 3 if you count the aliases)-#would care in the slightest abt mr “i got a perfect score on my college entrance exam”. Be fr!!#Idk the ship loses everything that makes it fun and appealing to me if you remove Kira from the mix #Ik ppl do “Light isn't Kira” AUs to make the ship more wholesome but i'd argue it just becomes problematic in a diff way.#L is not only way older but also extremely rich and successful. If Light is innocent but still a suspect- L also has immense power over him #Ig i don't see the point of trying to make Lawlight wholesome. It's still problematic but without the goofy homoerotic enemyship.#Light being Kira not only makes them equals but gives them spice!#However I DO get the appeal of “Light isn't Kira” AUs where Light is still a fake asshole who's performatively nice but hides his real feel #But removing his misogynistic swag/superiority complex/his bitchy internal monologues to make him normal? Tim was bored.

That alone was unusual. Between being a vigilante, being a detective, and trying to balance his job with his sleep schedual he almost always had something to keep him busy.

Not tonight. He was just hopping from rooftop to rooftop on his patrol root when he saw something. It was...a hand? A glowing white hand sticking up from the roof of the building he was on some distance away. He approached it wearily until the hand apparently decided he had come close enough and desended back into the roof.

It popped up only a moment later and placed an ornate chest down in front of itself before sinking into the stone again. Tim knew it was a stupid move, but he approached the box and lifted the lid.

Inside was a cashe of ancient gold coins and uncut emeralds. Tim stared at it in confusion before he sensed the anticipation in the air around him, and just like that his self preservation training around magic kicked in and he swung the lid shut, "I am not accepting this!"

The anticipation turned to shock in an instant and turned to disappointment just as quickly. The box vanished quickly and the chill that he hadn't even notice had surrounded him dissipated.

His com crackled to life with multiple frantic family members asking him questions. He explained the best he could and was ordered back to the cave.

This scene repeated several times, each time he would be offered a greater treasure. Tim never accepted it though and the hand would leave seeming dejected.

The last time this happened Tim asked the hand what all the offers were for and it used sign language to spell out the word "Dowery"

I’ve decided I don’t like the stories where Danny has to convince Batman and birds that he is, in fact, a ghost, and that his town is overrun with them. Why? Because they’re the World’s Greatest Detectives.

“Oh, but they just don’t believe in ghosts” NO. Justice League Dark is literally made to deal with the supernatural, and as Batman is one of the founders of the JL, he would know about JLD and what they do, so he would know that ghosts and stuff are real.

“Well maybe he just doesn’t believe Danny” Yeah, okay, sure, the glowing floating kid who is as cold as ice and just came through your wall is juuuust a meta. Even then, having a meta as strong as Danny barge in and beg for help warrants an investigation at least. By that point, ignoring it is a choice, and you should probably make Batman an antagonist instead.

“The fact that Danny glows like the Lazarus pit” Stop. Danny glows like a pit that brings people back from the dead? Holy shit! It’s almost like they’re connected! Like Danny radiates Undeath, just like the pits do. And there are more ghosts like Danny at his town? Batman should probably look at that.

“Well Danny is nothing like Deadman, one of the only other ghosts Batman has probably ever seen! Of course he’d be skeptical!” This. This is the one valid reason imo. Still, even if he doesn’t believe Danny is a ghost, this goes back to the fact that he should look into Danny’s town.

Just. A lot of stories don’t talk about why the Batfam don’t believe him. Despite the fact that Jason is right there. And it drives me a little bit crazy. Or maybe it’s just the fact that it’s late and I’m tired.
