Okay. I know I have a lot of cooking mutuals, what do I need to do to make cooking enjoyable??? I am so fucking tired of eating canned soup and kraft mac n cheese and "concoction" (ground beef with whatever else I have that needs eaten and every spice I own). I know people say "if you don't like veggies try different ways of cooking them!" here the thing though, I hate veggie prep. So even changing how I cook them, everything else about veggies is an awful experience for me so I never want to do it. I know people talk about "15 minute meals!" and "one pan recipes!", but so far those have all been lies. People talk about experimenting and trying new things, but I straight up don't know how to do that. People say to listen to podcasts or audiobooks while prepping, but either I focus on the prep and hear none of the story or I focus on the story and struggle with the prep. I am not fast with prep, so meals that require prepping multiple things at once or prepping something while something else is cooking never fails to stress me out to a wild degree. I don't know how I'm supposed to keep everything from burning and keep things stirred and chop up everything and get the next ingredients out and clean as I work all at the same time. I do not enjoy picking out recipes or buying groceries (genuinely hate more than any other chore besides laundry), so meal prep is next to impossible for me. I forget to thaw meat nearly every time I want to cook something and so end up putting it off for days. I can never seem to get my roasted veggies to actually roast, somehow they just steam themselves in the oven. I do not want or like cooking gadgets, so I am doing everything with the very basic supplies. I am cooking for one person so leftovers are a constant issue (I have eaten so much left over food that I find genuinely sickening because I didn't want to waste it). And then I have to do this every day forever till I die. How do I make myself like this??? I am so fucking tired of eating gross food.

#the last time I cooked something myself I genuinely enjoyed was a pork tenderloin and the time before that was a soup #both were delicious and amazing #and both took well over several hours to complete. #I did nothing but cook those nights and didn't get to eat until like 8 or 9 #in theory!!!! neither should have taken that long but I am not speedy!!!! #but anyway because they were so time consuming and messy and stressful I have never made them again #and it's been 2 years since the soup and probably almost 1 since the tenderloin #I tried other ways of cooking pork tenderloin and they were meh to actually gross and I was fighting my gag reflex #to force myself to eat the whole thing (homemade mustard for a crust without the correct ingredients is nasty fyi) #I have a handful of cookbooks some of which have recipes I would genuinely like to eat #but it's just so much #I don't know what to do #I ate some chicken strips and lettuce (both dipped in ranch) and cottage cheese last night #and I was actually forcing myself to eat every single bite because it was so gross feeling in my mouth and the taste was not good either #today I made some pilsbury cinnamon rolls and eating them was also just disappointing #I thought about making chicken and rice for dinner #I got a seasoning packet to try that my family said is super super good #but the chicken is frozen... nightbringer lesson 14 FUCKED ME UP in several ways but primarily I've spent the last 48 hours making myself sad over the solomon backstory we got. specifically I have, for no reason, latched onto that one chapter in the Kids event where baby solomon cried because he felt so guilty over being responsible for that spell. and that just feels a touch more depressing in context

#high school PE theory help me out here #with stretching you want to do about 8-10 seconds per stretch then switch the leg/arm you were stretching #eg 10 seconds left bicep then 10 seconds right bicep #obviously you’ll want to focus more on hands arms and head for playing rhythm games but you should get up every now and again and do some #leg and back stretches #maybe do some basic warm up exercises as well but we never did too much on the exercises stuff all the technical stuff was for exam students #obviously playing rhythm games is anaerobic so it will tire you out after a short while #and you’ll get better over time but it’s good to rest every now and again #do some cool down stretches too #don’t listen to any of this i’m not qualified to talk about fitness #asks

so the sovereigns definitely have something up their sleeves and seers are integral to it. why else is it so important for then to use blake that they're going through all this trouble just to break him? what is it about him that makes him so useful if not for his seer abilities? maybe it's the fact that he's already in the edge of desperation, ready to do anything to get what he wants.

my brain is feeling a little slow today so making all the connections and writing them out eloquently is difficult but i swear there is a tie between the sovereigns and seers and that tie has to do with death. a seer's first vision when their sight manifests is of their own death. sovereigns lie in a prison in death. they are the river. are the sovereigns responsible for gifting seers the sight, or at the very least are they the ones that feed them the vision of their death? why? maybe it was in the hopes that they would get desperate. desperate to escape the inescapable. desperate enough to go looking for answers on how to stop it. desperate, like a certain seer we know. but he's not trying to stop his own death. and maybe that's what makes blake so special. all the other seers know there's no way to escape their own deaths so why fight? it wouldn't be worth it. but blake has something to fight for that's more important to him than even his own death. and that's what the sovereigns have been waiting for.

we know that seers are special in many ways. one of the big ones is that they can learn any magic at a specialist's level which when you think about it is INSANE. freelancers are the only other humans that can learn any type of magic without being preordained with a speciality but theirs is on a "jack of all trades, master of none" basis. for seers to be able to learn any magic at a high enough level that they can even outclass those that are specialized in it, they must hold an incredible amount of power. according to the lore, we know that freelancers came from rak'xit, the sovereign of the inchoates, in a last ditch effort to create enough human empowered to tip the scales and defeat the rest of the sovereigns. so i wonder then... who made seers?

there was a nugget of lore from one of the anniversary trivia games that comes to mind. seers exist because of vampires. now how the hell is that possible, what could possibly connect vampires and seers? well. we know that a certain sovereign, a'xerhan, experimented heavily on humans to try and warp them into something more akin to d(a)emons and when it backfired it made vampires. hmm.... maybe a'xerhan's experiment failed but what if it just unlocked the potential for something else? i don't think a'xerhan made the seers but i wonder if another sovereign did, using their experimental creation of vampires to do so... but which sovereign could have possibly made a race of humans specialized in all types of magic? looks over at rak'xit 👀

could rak'xit have known a rebellion was on the wind back then and in secret made a small group of almost supercharged unspecialized empowered humans before that big final push of his to turn the tides that resulted in such a large but watered down unspecialized empowered populace? and if so, what's the significance of giving them the sight... maybe it was with the hope that they could be the ones to protect humanity from threats like this in the future. but could he have known that he was accidentally creating the very tool that his imprisoned siblings would one day manipulate in order to escape? hmm

(i wanted to also add in the lore nugget of there not being any seers in the imperium and what that would mean for all of this too but that would mean i gotta relisten to the imperium to brush up on the lore and besties i am not in the right mind to break down on this lovely saturday afternoon so if someone else wants to jump in and fill in those blanks for me feel free 👍)

Now im not a scientist (im a chicken) but i figured from what information we got in undertale that monster souls and human souls can fuse together when either is on its last legs but the one with the most determination would be in control (chara was in control at first but azzy overpowerd them with the will to not hurt anyone). We also know that most souls(human and monster) shatter imediatly after death, so if fusion is to be done ther cant be any hesitation. Also boss monster souls persist after death longer then anything else which also makes fusion easier for humans.

I’m going to go insanely deep into this, because I love science. And I’m a theorist nerd.

For this theory, we can think of SOULs as magic storage organs in the body. Monsters may not actually store as much magic in their souls, compared to humans, because they have to distribute it throughout their bodies to function. Due to this (along with humans just having stronger magic-ie the barrier), Human SOULs would, comparatively, be more magically condensed. This “condensed soul” can explain why it can survive outside the body without breaking. They’re buff, sturdy things that store large amounts of magic and physical mass. Boss Monsters may have the same quirk of having more of a physical composition. It is still limited, though, as their souls eventually break soon after being exposed.

Now magic itself is something I’m not even going to TRY and explain bc we don’t know what it is. But, If we treat it like a normal substance under the laws of physics and diffusion, soul fusion makes way more sense.

Diffusion is the movement of anything from a region of higher concentration to a region of lower concentration. Think of a paper towel getting wet on one side and the water distributing itself. If we treat Magic like a substance that can diffuse, a highly magical human soul would theoretically be pulled towards a monster’s less magical soul. If the human soul is damaged (like with Chara), it could more easily fuse since the soul structure is probably weakened.

THIS THEORY COULD EVEN EXPLAIN DETERMINATION!!! Human concentrations of soul magic may be toxic to monsters if not through fusion! It’s like Polar Bear livers or something- Monster bodies can’t handle that amount of concentrated magic(aka Determination) and the body tries to compensate by seeking to fuse with other matter or monsters to offset the copious amounts of magic in their system!!!

5 hours of thesis work with a break in between to clean (and show my room to someone who might stay in it after I leave, which ugh, annoying) and then I can just dedicate myself to play breath of the wild all night long

#if all goes well I'll have the introduction+ theory + methodology of my thesis done by monday night #that leaves me 25 days to do the data analysis (the data is gathered i just need to create the graphs and write about them) #and discussion/conclusion #after THAT july 1st there's 20 days for my supervisor to revise it me to make the needed corrections #and then on to handing it in #oh boy i hope it's enough #also yes im playing botw now when totk just came out #it's getting me through the stress tbh
