Today felt like the first calm shift you had in weeks… or at least that‘s what you thought until two unexpected guests stepped into Choppers.
WORDS: 3.3 K
WARNINGS: There's just too much testosterone in this chapter, mentions of injuries (cut lip), a bit of swearing, otherwise it‘s harmless
NOTES: Aemond seems a bit soft in this, BUT I can tell that’s not how he’s going to be all the time. Credit for the photo of Tommy with tatts goes to @/eatheruniverse. Dividers made by @firefly-graphics.

King’s Landing was the sort of place where you either had two houses or two jobs, and since you were currently wiping down the counter of Choppers and had no fancy–and ridiculously expensive–motorcycle parked in front of the bar, you clearly belonged to the latter.
The venue was busier than usual with several members of the Savage Dragons filling the tables and bar, and the smell of alcohol, cigarettes and leather hung thick in the air. Old school rock boomed off the jukebox in the corner, and the atmosphere was relaxed, making the shift one of the easiest you had in weeks.
At least that was what you thought until raised voices drew attention to one of the tables closest to the door, a familiar mop of brown hair involved and two other men you hadn’t seen that often before. In times like these, you were grateful to work with Cregan, because wherever that hunk of a man went, every turmoil was smothered within seconds.
When you turned around to meet his eyes from where he was drawing some beers, you merely had to wrinkle your nose with a ‘pretty please?’ leaving your lips to coax him from behind the counter.
“I’ll take care of it,” he sighed, and nodded towards the tap, “Need two more for Alyn and Addam. Could you, please?” Making a swift change, you took his place behind the tap, while he dried off his hands and threw the rag over his broad shoulder, walking around the counter.
“Cole! Lannister!” his deep voice rang out, perfectly audible despite the music still playing, “You fuckin’ know not to start shit on my shift. Get your asses outta here before they meet my foot.“ There had been a few encounters with them before, and each one had been won by Cregan.
Thanks to you working at the bar for quite some time now, your eyes managed to flicker between the scene unfolding in front of you and the tap, making sure not one drop of beer got spilled and the foam head was evenly and neither too thick nor too thin.
Even before Cregan reached their table, the men held their hands up in defeat, getting up to head towards the door.
“What are they even doing here? The posh lifestyle getting too boring?” you looked from Cregan and Jace to your friend Baela. She leaned over the counter, fishing for one of the beers you’d poured. You swatted her hand away, pulling the pints towards the edge of the counter, before crouching down to pull the first aid kit from the cabinet below.
“Well, technically, your father hasn’t banned them from entering the bar,” you noted, raising one eyebrow at her as you slid the kit across the counter toward Cregan so he could tend to the cut on Jace’s lip.
She slumped into the bar stool while you hurried around the counter with both beers in hand, sighing in an exaggerated manner, “Fuck, I know, I’ve been telling him for months now, but he’s not doing it.”
You meandered through the crowd of people and placed the pints in front of the silver haired brothers, walking back to get behind the counter again. “I don’t know what has happened between you, and I really don’t care, but just because your cousins left the gang and started their own doesn’t mean they should be banned,” you said, grabbing a rag to wipe off the tap. “They’re still your family, and the few members of Dracarys that come here have been nothing short of calm–unless they’re provoked by a certain someone.” You shamelessly glanced over to Jace, who just shrugged his shoulders.
“We don’t wanna have them here, and if that’s the only way to make it clear to them, I’ll keep going until they understand. They’re nothing but a bunch of elitist assholes,” the president retorted.
You’re just as elitist as they are, was the comeback you wanted to say but stifled by biting your tongue, because they were the ones kind of taking you in and accepting you in their gang, even though you didn’t own a motorcycle and weren’t a member of their tribe. You enjoyed the company of the Savage Dragons, and you’d been around Baela even before your first shift at Choppers, but they had no idea what it meant to grow up in King’s Landing’s lower class and to work for your money.
You handed Baela a freshly poured beer, throwing the rag over your shoulder in the same manner Cregan did before, who was already nursing a bourbon.
“Didn’t you come by motorcycle?”
“One does no harm,” he said, “besides, there's at least six hours left ‘till closing time.”
“How did I end up here?” you asked rhetorically, and pinched the bridge of your nose. Because you were looking for a new job, and Baela’s father was looking for a waitress.
Cregan smiled in a teasing manner, “Don’t you enjoy being a Dragon, sweetheart?”
You tilted your head to the side as you met his brown eyes, cocking an eyebrow at him. “Just because I work here with you,” you nod in his direction, referring to the cut-off that hung on the knob of the cabinet with various patches of flames and dragons sewn onto it, and their gang’s logo patched on the back, “and occasionally ride shotgun doesn’t mean I’m part of your gang. I don’t own a bike and never will.”
The bull of a man just raised his hands as if he didn’t mean to offend you, though the cheeky smirk he held on his lips made it clear he didn’t hold it against you. “Just teasin’, sugar, we know you aren’t.” Sometimes the nicknames he gave you came so random that they really made you blush, and totally not because you had a little crush on him. Cregan was barely three years older than you, but he somehow had upped his flirting game to the point he just radiated daddy vibes. And you didn’t want to know what he was up to when he wasn’t working or taking his Triumph out for a ride with the Dragons.
Hearing his name being called in the distance, you both looked up to meet the violet eyes of Alyn, who was holding up two fingers while pointing towards the two empty pints standing in front of them. Sometimes you wondered if they just chugged it the second the drinks were served.
“After you,” you mirrored his cheeky grin and extended your arm, pointing towards the tap.
The brunette scoffed and shook his head, but not in a derogatory manner. He trailed past you, while you seized the opportunity to clean some of the glasses that piled up on the countertop.
Jace went back to where some of his men were playing pool, the cut on his lip obvious enough you could still spot it even in the dim light of the bar.
“So, the flame between you two dying out already?” you asked Baela with a softer voice, not wanting to catch Cregan’s attention, lifting your head to look at her. When there didn’t come an answer right away, you pressed on. “Just surprised Creg had to patch him up, that’s all.”
She took a swig of her beer, putting the pint down and slightly bending over the counter to come closer toward you. “He’s just been acting so weird lately. I get that it’s not easy when your parents get a divorce, but everyone saw it coming… even Luke handles it better than he does.”
“Speaking of, where’s he anyways? Haven’t seen him in a while.”
“He’s in Driftmark with Rhae. Gramps needed some help in his workshop, and since dad’s busy with the new bar, Luke offered to drive her and stay there. They should be back by Saturday.”
You had to give it to Rhaena. Even though she didn’t own a motorcycle herself, she was mechanically inclined. Growing up with a father like Daemon, who was obsessed with motorcycles himself, she received all the support she needed on her way, and he taught her most of the things he knew, despite taking a step back from motorcycles and all things involved after their mother Laena got into an accident that nearly killed her.
At this point you just waited for the day she’d storm into Choppers and proclaim that Corlys Velaryon had bequeathed the workshop to her. You hoped for it to happen.
“Does he,” you nodded toward the Savage Dragon’s president, “want to stay with Rhaenrya or does he leave with Harwin?” You stored the glasses away and threw the rag aside, leaning back against the cabinet with your arms folded in front of your chest.
“I’m not sure, to be honest. He plans on buying an apartment in the city,” you raised your eyebrows at that, considering renting an apartment in King’s Landing already was expensive as hell, so, buying one was a whole other level. “And I can totally see Luke moving in with him, though.”
You nodded, and scoffed at the thought of the brothers sharing an apartment, considering Jace more often than not complained about his younger brother getting on his nerves. Perhaps moving out was his chance to get a taste of freedom and independence.
Your response was seized short when the loud chatter of the customers drowned into silence. Having got used to the background noise a long time ago, you picked up on it lacking the second it ceased.
There was a slight commotion at the front door, caused by the crowd of people parting to make place for whoever entered. It was a weird reaction, to say the least. The customers stepped aside when two silver haired men, clad in black jeans and matching leather jackets with a few patches covering the fronts and arms, stepped through the door and headed towards the counter.
You didn’t have to squint your eyes to make out that it was Aegon Targaryen, self proclaimed prince of the city and president of Dracarys. And though everyone kept a respectful distance from them, you knew it wasn’t because of him, but rather because of the much taller man that trailed behind him like his personal bodyguard, his serious expression seeming both domineering and threatening. You hadn’t heard much about Aemond Targaryen before, a total enigma to you, and while the brothers seemed like the epitome of the golden retriever and the black cat personalities, you knew better than to trust the first impression.
Aegon Targaryen was nothing short of ruthless and deceitful, the goofy and gullible demeanor only a mask he put on to fool people until he decided to show his true colors. The only thing that matched was his loyalty and protectiveness, always going the extra mile for his brothers and sister.
The only things you knew about Aemond were that he supposedly wore a sapphire in place of his left eye after he’d lost it in an accident, though the how and when was unknown and his left eye concealed with a black eyepatch, and that he was in no way inferior to Aegon, just as ruthless and if not even hot-tempered and fierce.
At least that’s what you had heard. You still had to experience their outbursts first hand yourself, most of the stories you‘d heard told by members of the Savage Dragons, or rather Jace, Luke and Creg. And sometimes even Baela told one or two stories, however, they never were as derogatory as the ones the others told.
“Now this is a rare visit,” your friend mumbled, glancing over at you with a raised eyebrow as she noticed your attention was solely fixed on them. Not even Jace’s ‘Look who has decided to bless us with their presence’ was able to reclaim your focus.
With every step the pair took toward you, you felt the air being knocked straight out of your lungs, your throat becoming incredibly tight, whereas another sensation built in the pit of your stomach–perhaps even at the apex between your legs. Only when you felt Baela’s hand under your chin, as if she meant to close your mouth–even though it wasn't opened–you figured you had been staring at them a bit too long and a bit too obvious, but something about his striking eye, chiseled jaw and intimidating aura felt alluring to you.
“Cousin,” Aegon’s gravelly voice rang out, acknowledging Baela.
“Aeg,” she said before looking over to the taller Targaryen, nodding. “Aemond.”
The air between them was thick with tension, and it almost made you cringe to the point you had to interfere. “What can I get you?” your voice was a tad more high pitched than usual, and from the corner of your eye you were able to spot the way your friend’s eyebrow raised in a manner that made clear she was judging you.
You tried your best to focus on Aegon, his blonde stubble, the loose curls and lavender eyes dreamy enough to get lost in but not at all enticing enough to outshine his younger brother.
For a split second, you glanced over to Aemond, looming over his brother and Baela, and you were certain you’d caught the hint of a blush covering his pale skin, running down his cheeks and getting lost under his neck tattoos.
“Daemon’s here, sweets?” he drawled, the pet name only topped by the flirty wink he shot you. Goosebumps prickled on your skin, though it had a completely different meaning and got an entirely different reaction from you than it did whenever Cregan called you something similar.
Speaking of, he had abandoned his place at Addam’s table–that man couldn’t do anything else than drinking and chatting while at work, and occasionally threw someone out of the bar–and trailed around the counter to stand behind you, towering over your small frame just like Aemond did with Aegon. “No,” he said coldly. Very unusual for him, you thought.
Instead of looking at the man behind you, Aegon kept his eyes neatly trained on you, a smile on his lips that seemed eerily faked, “Then we’ll have two of his special. Neat.” Daemon’s special, you raised your brows, that meant you had to open one of the ridiculously expensive bottles of Elijah Craig’s 18 year single barrel that were stored in the back just for this occasion.
“I’ll bring it to you, guys,” you said, glancing over your shoulder at Cregan, whose jaw was set to the point you feared for his teeth. Both men nodded and left to occupy one of the tables in the back–the one where two of their men had been expelled from before, to be precise.
“Leave it to me,” you warned, putting a hand on the expanse of his broad chest to make it clear it wasn’t even up to debate. “They haven’t done anything at all and you guys can’t think straight right now.”
While you fetched two tumblers and retrieved the bottle from the back, Baela had left her spot in front of the counter, walking over to the pool table to approach Jace. You supposed it had something to do with the way he held his hands balled to fists at his sides and his eyes all but burning through his uncle’s bodies. If looks could kill, Aegon and Aemond certainly would have perished straight away.
Perhaps she would finally manage to keep his rage at bay and stop him from doing anything stupid. Yet again.
Grabbing a tray, you served the drinks to them before cleaning their table from the remnants of their clan’s escapades, several empty pints and tumblers stacked upon it. It was difficult to keep your cool with both their eyes watching your every move, though the younger one seemed to not be able to tear his eye off your body instead, watching the way your black attire clung to your curves, the hem of your skirt high enough to expose most of your thighs and accentuate your legs.
“Need a hand?” It was Aemond speaking, catching you by surprise as you’d judged him to be more quiet-natured. His voice was just as gravelly as his brother’s, but at the same time smoother, if that even made sense. It crawled under your skin, but this time it was more pleasant.
You flashed him a sheepish smile, and weren’t able to meet his eye for long. “It’s alright,” you said, “I’ve carried a lot more than that.” The nod he returned made him appear just as sheepish as you were, and you were certain that if you’d stay just a minute longer, you wouldn’t be able to leave their table at all.
You were completely oblivious that Aegon’s and Aemond’s eyes weren’t the only ones watching even the slightest move you made, though they all captured a different motive behind them. If it was up to Jace, you would’ve perished with his uncle’s in that moment, and if it was up to the Targaryen brother’s, they would’ve kept you at their table just a bit longer–one wanting your company out of self-interest, while the other one just enjoyed to mess with the other side of the family.
You balanced the tray back to the bar, placing it on the countertop and allowing Cregan to clean the glasses this time around.
He looked utterly ridiculous. A hunk of a man, hunching his shoulders while cleaning a bunch of glasses and staring at the men they loathed with all their hearts for reasons you didn’t even know in the first place.
“You’re still aware I’m leaving early tonight, right?” you asked him, trying to get his mind off the matter at hand. “Or do you want me to stay to make sure everything goes well? Don’t want y’all to rip each other to shreds. It’d suck to clean that up tomorrow.” The chuckle you released was meant to ease the tension, though Cregan wasn’t really having any of it.
“No, it’s fine,” he eventually replied. “Take your time off, you’ve earned it. Need someone to bring you home?”
He half turned to look at you, the slight tilt of his head indicating he’d help you out and probably drive you home himself. “Came by car today,” you retrieved your keys from the back pocket of your denim skirt, dangling them in front of his face. “So, no worries.”
“Alright, have a nice evening,” he hummed, and moved to tend to another customer.
You walked around the corner but stopped once you passed it, turning to face him one last time. “And Cregan?” you asked, catching his attention, “Behave.”
“You know us, Y/N.”
“Exactly.”
Raising his hands in defeat, silently indicating that he’d try to keep his hands clean for the remainder of the night, you moved to approach Baela at the pool table. “I’m done for the night, Bae. See you tomorrow?”
She embraced you in a tight hug. “I’ll hit you up.“
“You’ll hear from me once I’ve cleaned up after you guys… again,” you teased and waved goodbye to everyone standing around the table.
As you passed the table with two of the most attractive men you’ve ever spotted before, a shiver ran up your spine, feeling like liquid fire. You tried to keep your eyes on the ground, not able to get lost in the piercing gaze of Aemond once again, but were forced to take notice of them when Aegon’s voice rang out. “Leaving already, sweets?” You nearly missed the way Aemond elbowed his brother at the mention of the irritating pet name.
Unable to speak, you merely bobbed your head once, heading toward the door. Aemond’s ‘What a shame’ could hardly be heard by anyone other than you and his brother, and it forced a blush onto your cheeks before you hurried out of the bar.
Unbeknownst to you, this wasn’t the last you’ve heard and seen of the seemingly notorious devil.

“it’s impossible for anyone not to love you. has anyone ever told you that?”
there were times in which even a district like shibuya — always vibrant and full of life — was eerily quiet and void of people.
people you’d want to be around with, at least. people who made you feel safe roaming the streets at this hour. right now, you didn’t feel all too comfortable walking past streets with alleyways looking awfully sketchy.
every tiny sound made you walk faster than before, it be a cat scratching at a trashcan, a breeze howling against buildings, or leaves crunching under your shoes. you just wanted to get this over with and head back home into your trusted four walls.
you grunted as your ran face-first into someone you hadn’t seen, which you wanted to blame your terrible night vision for.
the figure didn’t move and you tried to stay calm. you uttered an apology and tried to rush past them, careful not to draw too much attention.
maybe they were just minding their own business. they didn’t have to be a murderer or anything.
“you shouldn’t be out here by yourself at this time,” the person suddenly called out. you halted. “someone got murdered right over there two days ago.”
the shiver that ran down your spine at the husky words was inevitable, your eyes darting over to where he pointed to show you the place was just a couple feet away from where you were standing. it didn’t help that the boy said it with so little emotion.
“thanks for telling me… i just really need to drop by at the nearest local duty pharmacy,” you responded. under the halfway functioning street light, you recognized a very tall boy, perhaps around your age, so 15 or 16 years of age.
the dragon tattoo on the side of his head drew your attention. it didn’t necessarily elicit bad thoughts, it just looked very unique.
“i’ll accompany you.” his offer took you by surprise; it wasn’t like you had been used to others being nice to you before. when he continued walking towards your destination, you quickly joined him, barely able to catch up with his long strides.
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ ♡•°`.
“how could a person be a best friend, mentor, older brother and father all at the same time? you made the impossible possible.”
hanging out with the boys was exhausting, to say the least. there wasn’t anyone you particularly disliked, but they could be a lot. you didn’t really mind that they were all part of a gang, all that mattered to you was that none of them had ever made a move to hurt you or others.
“i’m saying, that’s not how you solve that question!”
rolling your eyes at the first division commander discussing with you, you threw your arms in the air. you were currently all lounging off in the warehouse, with you having joined them after they had finished a meeting.
draken always insisted on you never, ever joining a meeting of the tokyo manji gang. he would never want you to get involved with their business.
“baji, are you seriously telling me i’m in the wrong?” you shoved your purple flip phone out of the pocket of your school uniform skirt, unlocking it to click onto the calculator function. “you must be stupid if you think that three times 24 is 72–”
the whole warehouse went quiet after that. blood rushed to your face, your entire head and ears feeling steaming hot as the brunette started laughing at you. the others were too immersed in their own thoughts to listen.
“who’s the stupid one now?” bending down to your height, baji flashed you his cocky smirk, revealing sharp canines. your eyes stung with tears of humiliation.
before he could tease you a little more, because you were so easy to tease, a hand shoved the boy with long hair back to create a distance between you and him. it was him.
“baji, that’s enough.” draken’s firm voice made said boy shrug and back off. “it’s just a dumb mathematical equation.”
when you sniffled and crossed your arms in front of your chest, turning away deliberately to hide your embarrassed self from the others, a palm settled on the top of your head.
looking up, you saw draken grinning down at you ever so gently.
“don’t worry about it, everyone makes mistakes.”
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ ♡•°`.
“i failed to tell you. i thought my actions would be enough to prove what i felt. perhaps you knew all along, but decided not to talk about it. you were always thoughtful and considerate. but i wasn’t special.”
it was a gloomy day for you today. you were excited to see draken, putting in a lot of effort while getting ready and wearing one of your best outfits, just to see that he hadn’t joined the otherd at the usual group hangout today.
“wasn’t it emma’s birthday today?” mitsuya recalled. mikey wasn’t there either. unbeknownst to you, baji’s eyes wandered to look at how you’d react.
as someone who wore her heart on her sleeve, you were terrible at masking how you felt. he didn’t miss the way your face fell.
draken and emma were always close to each other. of course they were, as her brother and draken have been inseparable since middle school. you couldn’t compare to her. you’d just met him not even two years ago.
you were slowly realizing that despite him doing a lot for you and always being there for you, you perhaps didn’t mean as much to him as emma did.
after all, draken was nice to everyone.
“someone’s grumpy,” baji commented slyly, and this time, you didn’t have it in you to bicker with him. this time, there was no draken to tell him to stop either.
the two missing blondes joined you hours later, with mikey nudging his taller vice’s side teasingly while talking about how sly kenny was for having found that plushie emma had wanted for the longest time.
it made your mood even more sour than it already was, and you pondered about an excuse to leave, wanting nothing more than to curl up in bed and forget about it.
forget about your stupid feelings for someone whose heart was already taken, and who saw you as nothing more than a friend.
“hey (f/n), that’s a pretty outfit,” mikey commented, “you going somewhere?” draken glanced down at you curiously while you forced a tight-lipped smile on your face. you inwardly thanked the leader of toman for saving you like this.
“yeah. i’ll see you guys.”
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ ♡•°`.
“would things have been different if i’d just confessed to you while i still had the time? it would have been selfish. she was the first to know and love you, after all.”
ken and mikey had dropped out of high school at 17. they had big plans of opening a workshop for cars and motorcycles. by the time you graduated high school, they already had their small, cozy shop. toman was no more, and everything was well.
objectively speaking, it was. but subjectively? you weren’t too sure about that.
by the time you entered the italian restaurant, the table that caught your eyes was already pretty crowded. it wasn’t a surprise anymore, you were always late, after all.
too late. those two words echoed in your head as you looked at emma and draken sitting next to each other, her blushing feverishly when he removed something from her hair.
that could have been you.
“let’s go.” hearing baji’s voice behind you surprised you, and even more did it to feel his hand on your back, guiding you towards the table. as much as he was a jerk, you didn’t believe he did it out of ill intent to humiliate you.
the hours went by, and you had all eaten to your hearts’ content, now exchanging light jokes and future aspirations to one another. emma mentioned wanting to be a housewife, and the ken getting married to her made you want to throw up everything you’d eaten today.
“how about you?” mitsuya asked you, who had talked the least tonight. “any plans for college?” you smiled awkwardly when you felt draken’s eyes on you.
he had always wanted you to go all the way with your education, having supported you whenever he could. you were more than thankful for that.
“i actually got an admission for law in osaka.” the blonde sitting right across from you smiled so brightly, and you were sure it would have made you melt if emma didn’t have her head on his shoulder.
it was almost childish how you had tried to interpret every single of draken’s actions as a possible chance for something to develop between you two. your chances were long gone.
you had never stood one to begin with.
“i knew you could do it! you were always a smart girl.”
his compliment made you feel worse than it should have.
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ ♡•°`.
“you told me to go and pursue my dreams. i knew that if you had told me to stay, i would have. how idiotic of me, right? i ended up leaving and letting you slip from my grasp without you ever having been in it.”
after moving away for college, you hardly visited tokyo anymore. and to be quite honest, you preferred that. it was good to stay away from the source of what had drained you for so long.
draken hadn’t taken advantage of your feelings for him, no. he was the last person on earth who’d be willing to do that. but that didn’t mean it hurt any less to be trapped in a web of unrequited love.
you were in your fourth year of law school when an invitation laid in your mailbox. you just knew from the second you looked at the envelope without even opening it. it was exactly what you’d anticipated it to be.
a marriage invitation, for you to join ken ryuguji and emma sano for the most important day of their lives. you stood in front of the mailbox, staring at the piece of pretty paper for at least twenty minutes, as if it was ever going to change.
he was going to get married. not to you.
all of your dreams of walking down the aisle in a pretty, white dress, approaching him with his sweet smile, crushed to bits and pieces.
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ ♡•°`.
“i have never wished you anything else but happiness, and i still do. she makes you happy, and that’s all i could have ever asked for. i saw it in your eyes that day. you never looked at me like that.”
the wedding reception was nothing short of beautiful. catered to everyone’s tastes, it left nothing to the imagination.
the wedding of your dreams had always looked like this.
it was bittersweet how another woman was going to live that dream to the fullest, with the man of your dreams, at that.
thankfully, you weren’t left alone with your thoughts while you waited for the couple to come to the rented hall after they would get lawfully wedded. mitsuya and his sisters kept you company, making sure to recommend you everything they had tried at the enormous buffet.
“pretty sure they’re coming now,” mitsuya informed you as he stared at his wristwatch. you gulped and looked into your glass of soda.
oh what you wouldn’t have given to be in her shoes, taking on his last name… waking up next to him every single day, having his children.
you felt absolutely and utterly horrible. like all those years you’d spent away from this had caught up to you, leaving you to drown in your unrequited feelings.
before you could excuse yourself to the bathroom and ruin your perfectly done makeup by indulging in a five-minute breakdown, you were stopped by a hand finding your shoulder. it felt as if life was sucker-punching you in the gut once again.
“hey, baji.” your voice was low, and you didn’t notice mitsuya leading his sisters away from the table. his formerly wild, brown hair was much shorter now, tied up in a ponytail, and he wore a dark gray tuxedo.
when he opened his mouth, you shook your head. “i can’t take any teasing today. i mean it.”
your words weren’t even harsh, you just sounded exhausted. his grin disappeared, soon replaced by a frown. “i’m aware,” baji stated, “i couldn’t have attended if i was you.”
with a raised brow, you stared at him to explain what he meant. “i’ve known since back then.” you looked down, pursing your lips to stop them from trembling and giving it all away. you were asking to change the topic until the two would enter through the door and make your mood plummet entirely.
baji knew you better than you could have guessed. so this time, instead of poking fun at you, he actually tried to make you feel better
“by the way, i’m moving to osaka for med school for the next semester. i finally got in.”
it still stung when you saw draken and emma entering the hall hand-in-hand. you couldn’t compare that sting to any other kind of physical pain you’d endured in your life, it felt worse than broken limbs or a cut that needed to be stitched.
but he was happy, the way you never saw him be. he had never smiled as purely as he did when he danced with his wife, kissing the back of her hand that now adorned a ring to bind them to each other forever.
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ ♡•°`.
“i’m sending this letter even after it all. even though i know i’m too late. don’t get me wrong, i have deliberately not added your new address. you will never get this letter. this is just for myself, to liberate what i’d held onto for multiple years.”
you picked up the call after one shrill ring, holding your phone against your ear while your eyes were plastered on the tv. it was your episode today, dealing with your letter.
the show was muted so you could hear exactly what you’d hear on the phone. with a deep breath, you spoke first. “hello?”
“good evening, miss! we are very excited to be hosting you on today’s show for TO ALL THE MEN YOU’VE LOVED BEFORE!” on the screen, you saw the main host move her mouth with a smile plastered on her perfect face.
you sat down on your couch, taking another deep breath. “thank you for having me,” you responded, “i can already guess what you are going to ask me.”
you heard sweet laughter from the two hosts while you were busy picking at a dried scab on your thumb. this was making you more nervous than you’d wished it to.
“if that’s the case, then we would love to hear your thoughts,” spoke the co-host, “our audience is very excited to learn about your motives and what exactly has made you not put an address for the letter to be shipped to!”
the camera angle was switched to show multiple rows of people of all ages sitting and awaiting your response. it made your throat go dry.
“i have made this decision because,” you looked away from the screen, “they have found someone else. and they are very happy.”
the hosts showed faces of surprise. for a second, you wondered why you’d even done this to begin with. but it felt too relieving to speak about this for a bunch of strangers to listen. it felt too relieving to hang up now when you were so close to just letting things go.
“which was why i just wanted to send this letter to… get rid of it. to be able to live on and stop holding onto those feelings that are never going to be reciprocated.” you had no idea if the words you were saying made any sense to them, but to you, they did. they made perfect sense to you, and they described exactly how you felt.
“that is very mature, and we admire you for having collected the courage to take this step.” the host clapped her hands, obviously looking moved. “love isn’t all about having happy endings together, right? sometimes, it means to let go. for their, and for our own happiness.”
hanging up not long after, you sank back in your couch and chuckled to yourself. this wasn’t so bad. in fact, you haven’t felt as good as you did right now in a while.
when the door to your apartment unlocked, you watched a mop of brown hair appear in your peripheral. the smile on your face only went brighter.
“i’m home. did i miss it?”
“just did. let’s rewatch it together, kei.”
“i wouldn’t have it any other way, because it was thanks to you that i found my own happiness, too.”

Fandom: Sunshine (2007)
Pairing: Robert Capa x fem!reader
Word count: 6,400+
Characters: Robert Capa (Cillian Murphy), the rest of the cast is only mentioned.
Summary: Alternate universe (duh). Reader is the 9th crew member on the Icarus II as a second physicist assigned to assist Capa; she and Capa started dating at some point during the mission. But, in this story, the mission was successful, and everyone lived to make it back to Earth; the reader and Capa have been together ever since. The story takes place during a solar eclipse two or three years or so after they make it back to Earth, and as to be expected, Capa is excited about and fascinated by the eclipse, and so is the reader. He is set on making it a beautiful and romantic experience for her, especially since it was because of them that they can see it from Earth.
Warnings and additional tags: Fluff, smut (p in v), established relationship, mention of masturbation (m and f), the mission is successful in this (everyone makes it back to Earth in one piece), soft!dom Capa if you squint, Capa is slightly out of character in this (he's happy, he's deeply in love with the reader, and he's a little bit of a tease), mention of airsickness, reader-insert, reader-interactive, reader uses Capa's first name a few times, Capa calls the reader "sunshine" (I think it's fucking cute okay? Sue me. I'm just a girl.).
Notes: This is my first fic in literal years, and it is in two parts...both are in this post. I took a lot of liberties here. Necessary ones I think, but liberties nonetheless. I don’t know a lot about space and space travel. I know very little about it actually. However, I did do some research (if you could call it that) and tried to make it as accurate to the movie as I could. I had a ton of fun writing this! I miiiiiiiiight add to this later on, we'll see! I hope you guys like it!

He had been planning this for months. Years, to be exact. Up until now, he was convinced that if he made it back in one piece, he would have been alone.
Capa had spent over a year cramped up on the Icarus II with eight other crew members. Kaneda, Searle, Trey, Corazon, and Cassie seemed to take him seriously a good chunk of the time, but stayed mostly neutral towards him. Harvey and Mace tended to direct a lot of their anger towards him. Whether it was out of jealousy, anxiety, or whatever else, it didn’t matter what their reasoning behind ganging up on the lead physicist was. Despite their unfounded animosities, it was Capa’s stellar bomb that would reignite the Sun and save humanity from extinction. Even though tensions were understandably high, Capa was the only person aboard the Icarus II who knew the gravity and the importance of the mission they were tasked with carrying out. In other words, he was the only one who knew how to operate the device to perform such a miracle. It was really no surprise to anyone that they put Capa in charge of the payload; he understood the mission better than anyone else on the ship, and it showed. Mace and Harvey began to back off once it finally began to sink in that their lives depended on Capa, and because of that, they should take it easy on him. Try to, at least.
Of all the other astronauts on the Icarus II, Capa felt the closest to Y/L/N, the second physicist, a young woman wise beyond her years who was assigned to work alongside Capa. She was a bit younger than him and the rest of the crew, but she proved to have a level-headed way of looking at things, while also presenting herself with an air of cautious optimism. Her grace and appreciation of everything each of the members were doing drew Capa to her, something that initially made him nervous. She captivated him in a mysterious but welcome way, and she was nowhere near immune to his unique allure and quiet charm.
She would watch him in awe as he spoke, completely entranced by his intelligence. Every word he said, every move he made…she felt it in her heart, and deep in her core. After watching her perform her duties effortlessly without ever faltering once, Capa began to feel at ease with her, and he caught himself quietly thanking the forces that be for pairing the two of them together.
It took a lot of effort on his part to keep his composure around her, and little did he know, it was just as difficult for her to behave herself around him. He knew he was falling for her, and he tried to keep it down as long as he possibly could, just in case his feelings for her weren’t reciprocated. Even though she did feel the same way about him, she made a valiant effort to stay focused on the tasks at hand, despite the ever-looming temptation.
She and Capa grew close after spending hours alone working out equations or going over calculations, and even just spending whatever free time they had talking about anything and everything, but nothing too wild or personal just yet. After one particularly restless night, she left her quarters and came out to the common area to find Capa at the table, his head in his hands. He noticed her and lifted his face to look at her, a faint smile escaping his lips.
“Oh, hey. I take it you couldn’t sleep either?” Capa asked her, rubbing the tiredness from his eyes as he shifted in his seat. She looked absolutely beautiful to him, still in her sleep clothes that fit her perfectly, the fabric slightly revealing but leaving just enough to the imagination, her hair down and slightly tousled. His gaze accidentally drifted to her thighs and hips, and he looked away suddenly, focusing back on her face. Capa was trying hard to keep his cool as she stood in front of him, fighting back thoughts of how much better those clothes would look on his bedroom floor. He struggled to push the thought away, and was internally failing miserably at it.
She also felt an all-too-familiar feeling between her legs seeing Capa sitting there in his gray tank top shirt, his hair falling on his shoulders in the sexiest way possible. She couldn’t help but notice his well-defined arms, and traced the path of his veins with her eyes. She tried not to stare at him, and swallowed before she answered. “Yeah, unfortunately. A lot to do, a lot to think about, you know?” she answered back as she walked over to the table to sit down next to him. “Do you mind if I sit with you for a while?”
He motioned for her to sit down, welcoming her. “Oh no, not at all, the company would be nice. And yes, you’re right, there’s tons to think about for sure.” He sat up straighter and turned to face her better as he cleared his throat quietly, still fighting with his wandering mind.
She let out a small breath of relief before she sat down. She turned toward him and continued to speak. “What’s on your mind?” she asked. Even though she was concerned and was aware he was under an insane amount of pressure, she knew Capa had everything under control, and she trusted his judgment completely. “We can talk about it if you’d like.”
He takes a deep breath before answering her. “I guess it’s just nerves. You and I have run the calculations countless times now, and we’re on the correct path with everything, the payload is operational and all that…but I’m still a bit anxious about it. It’s nothing crazy, but, you know…” his voice trails off before looking into her eyes. “I just hope everything goes to plan, that’s all. I don’t think we have any reason to think it won’t, but still.”
She looked back at Capa. “Oh believe me, I totally understand.” She moves closer to him in an attempt to reassure him as she rests her hand on his. “But hey, I have faith that we can get it done and all will be well with the universe.” She smiled. “You’re doing amazing, by the way.”
Capa began to blush as he smiled back, softly but warmly. “Aww, thanks. Just doing my job.” He turned his hand over under hers, holding it gently as their fingers tangled together. “You’re doing great, too. We’re so lucky to have you with us…with me.” His heart skipped a beat. He couldn’t believe he said that out loud, but he didn’t bother trying to go back on it either. “I know I am.” His ocean blue eyes looked at her face, searching for any sign of discomfort or apprehension. He was relieved to find neither in her expression, just her smiling and blushing back at him.
She felt his words deep inside her as if a bomb on a much smaller scale was going off within her chest, and his words almost didn’t register with her right away. She smiled and blushed deeply before continuing. “That’s very sweet of you to say…thank you,” she answered. Despite the fact that they have spent a lot of time alone together in recent weeks, the tension in the room was noticeably thicker…so thick that you could slice it in the air with a scalpel. “I try my best. It’s all I can do, really.” She held onto his hand a little tighter as they gazed into each other’s eyes.
Capa broke the brief silence. “Hey…” he began, speaking warily but keeping his smile. “There’s been something I’ve been meaning to ask you. I’ve been waiting for the right time, and I’m not quite sure when that would be or would have been…I hope you won’t take it the wrong way.”
She looked back at Capa, curious but cautious. “Sure, you can ask me anything. What’s up?” He returned the gentle squeeze of her hand and softly grazed his thumb over her knuckles.
Capa took a deep breath, and looked away from her for a split second before directing his focus right back on her. He could feel his face getting warmer, his fair-skinned face turning a faint pink. He hesitated for a beat before throwing caution to the wind to speak his mind.
“Well…you know how we’ve been spending a lot of time together lately? Not just on protocol and calculations and whatever else…but in general?” He continued to hold her gaze while he waited for her response.
“Yeah, of course. Why?” she asked as she looked at him, still smiling and holding his hand, butterflies forming in her stomach. “Is everything okay?” she asked, trying to gauge where the conversation is going without assuming anything or jumping to any conclusions.
“Oh yeah, everything is fine, all things considered. Amazing, actually…” He swallowed quietly before beginning again. “Um…I guess what I’m trying to say is…I feel closer to you than anyone else on the ship…” He paused and chuckled nervously before he continued to speak. “It’s been a long time since I’ve felt such a connection to someone. You understand me in a way that everyone else doesn’t, and I really appreciate that. A lot.” He smiled and blushed deeper.
She smiled and blushed deeper as well. “I’m glad I can make you feel that way.” She moved closer to him. “I feel the same way about you.”
He reached his free hand up to gently brush some of her hair out of her face, softly caressing her cheek as he did it. “You’re just…I don’t know what the right word is. Exhilarating? Refreshing, maybe? I guess what I mean to say is…” he trailed off before cupping the side of her face with his hand while holding onto her hand with the other. “I’m falling for you. I mean…I have fallen for you. You’re on my mind constantly.” He gazed at her for a beat before continuing his thought. “I hope that doesn’t make anything weird or awkward.” He searched your face again for any opposition. Yet again, he didn’t find any of either.
Capa wasn’t one to divulge his deepest, darkest secrets to anyone, but it took every ounce of his being not to tell her that he’s seen her face behind his eyelids almost every night for the past two or so months, her name in his throat every time his need for her took over. He let it spill all over himself when he couldn’t sleep, which was unfortunately often. She wasn’t going to tell him that she touched herself to the thought of him any time the mood struck her either, soaking her fingers and her sheets beneath her. The two of them, separated only by a thin wall, had been breathing each other’s names as they reached completion for quite some time, and neither of them had shared any feelings for each other until today. As luck would have it, their feelings were mutual.
She leaned into his hand as she looked back at him. “It’s not weird, I promise…I’ve fallen for you too. I’d be lying if I told you I didn’t.” She gazed at him, full of love and infatuation. “You’re all I think about.”
Capa looked back at her with the same intensity. “You have no idea how happy I am to hear that,” he replied. He leaned in closer to her still, less than a foot of space between them. “What I really wanted to ask is…” he trailed off as he caressed her cheek and jawline. “I know this isn’t ideal, and I’m sorry about that…but I want this mission to continue with no regrets. I would hate myself forever if I never told you how I really feel about you. With that being said…would you be okay with us seeing where this goes?” His eyes never left hers as he confessed his love for her. “I want to be with you…if you’ll have me. Now, and, God willing, after the mission, too.”
Her heart pounded in her chest as she heard his words. “Of course I will. I want to be with you, too. I want nothing more than to be with you.”
Capa smiled and let out a sigh of relief before he spoke again. “Thank you…really. You mean everything to me, and I want you to know that…I’ll never let you forget it.” He closed any remaining distance between the two of them. He caressed her face tenderly once more. “May I…?”
She smiled at him with admiration and anticipation. “Yes, you may.”
Capa closed his eyes, leaned in, and kissed her gingerly at first, her eyes fluttering shut. She tilted her head as she kissed him back. Their kiss grew more and more passionate as seconds passed. He held her head gently and he ran his fingers through her hair as she wrapped her arms around his neck, their tongues dancing together softly. Capa slowly broke the kiss and opened his eyes. She opened hers as they pulled away, their pupils blown out with love and desire. He wrapped his arms around her as she pulled him into a tight hug, resting her head in the crook of his neck.
“I’ve wanted to do that for so long…” he breathed into her hair as he rubbed his hands on her back, inhaling her sweet scent. “Thank you…I mean it.” Capa blushed some more as he took another deep breath. “God, you make me feel like I’m a teenager again.”
“Me too…you’re absolutely lovely,” she replied, hugging him tighter. “You’re the man I’ve always dreamed of.” She broke the hug before looking into his icy blue eyes again. “Does this mean we’re together?” she asked, blushing and smiling.
Capa smiled back at her. “It does…is that okay with you?” He brushed some of her hair over her shoulder before caressing her face again.
“That is more than okay with me,” she answered. “So, what now?”
Capa blushed deeper as he smiled. “Come here…” He stood up from the table and held his hand out for her to take. She accepted his hand and stood up as he put his arms around her waist, pulling her closer to him. She wrapped her arms around his neck as his plush lips met hers again, kissing her with more intensity and urgency than he had before. She matched his passion as she returned his kiss, tangling her fingers in his long, dark, soft hair.
Noticing her need for him in her movements, Capa moved his kisses from her lips to her chin and jawline, then down along her neck and collarbone, immediately appreciating her reaction as she moaned quietly, tugging on his gray sleeveless shirt. She mused to herself about how effortlessly gorgeous he looked in it again, biting her lip at the thought, instantly reminded of all those nights she fantasized about taking it off of him. Lost in lustful longing, she struggled to get the words out.
“How did you know that I…maybe…we should probably…go somewhere else…” she whispered in between heavy breaths and soft whimpers. “Someone might wonder…what if someone wakes up and…” This is the first time he’d ever kissed her, and he already figured out one of the things that drives her crazy, knocking the air out of her lungs without trying to.
Capa chuckled slyly as he softly shushed her before he agreed. “A wild guess? But yeah…good call.” He gently pulled her with him towards his small bedroom. “We’ll deal with everyone else later. You’re all that matters to me right now.” He opened his door and let her in before shutting it behind him and locking the two of them inside. He looked at her with concern. “Are you okay with this? We don’t have to…you know…if you don’t want to…” His voice was low and seductive as he moved his hands under her shirt, tracing the curve of her spine and her shoulder blades with his fingers.
She spoke as he trailed off. “Yes, I want to…I want you. I’m sure about this. Are you?” she answered, looking back at him lovingly.
“As sure as I’m alive,” Capa answered, smiling back at her with just as much love. “I’ve never been more sure of anything in my entire life.” He kissed her some more before gently pushing her backwards onto his bed and positioned himself between her spread legs as he laid her down.
They spent the rest of the night making love to each other, over and over, drawing out every single moment to make it last as long as possible, and after at least a few hours, they wore each other out completely. Their first entanglement started out slow and sensual until their hunger for each other consumed them. They tried their absolute hardest to keep the noise to a minimum, but that became increasingly difficult for the both of them as their makeout heated up and clothes started to fall away.
Capa was gentle with her for their first time having sex, leaving no part of her untouched or unkissed, committing every inch of her skin to memory as if it was their last night alive. As far as he was aware, the woman underneath him was nothing short of a goddess. She gladly returned the favor, marveling at his incredible beauty. She was completely amazed at how he looked as if he was carved from stone, his whole body breathtakingly perfect to her. As far as they were concerned, it very well could have been their final night together. Neither of them were worried about that now, focusing solely on each other.
She was tight like a vice and sopping wet around him, and he stretched her so deliciously that he would whisper his praises in her ear, encouraging her. Capa made it a habit to cover her mouth as he took her, something she learned to absolutely lose her mind over. If he wasn’t covering her mouth as he brought her to climax, he would make sure to devour her with hot kisses as she contracted around him, bringing his orgasm forth soon after. As much as he would have loved for her to be as loud as she possibly could, Capa found it incredibly sexy and oddly endearing when she struggled to stay quiet under him, her eyes rolling into the back of her head as he poured himself into her.
She was able to rile Capa up in all the best ways possible as well, and he too had some difficulty trying to keep his voice down. One round turned into two, and then three…and on and on until both of them were sore and exhausted. Once they were able to catch their breath, Capa would make sure he didn’t wreck her too much, and if he did, he’d kiss it all away, and she would follow suit. “I love you” were three little words that neither of them could ever get sick of saying or hearing from the other.
After all of their daily tasks were taken care of for the day, every night on the Icarus II thereafter was spent in each other’s arms, whether in Capa’s bed or hers. On nights when they weren’t ravishing each other half to death with reckless abandon, she and Capa would lay in bed together and talk about whatever came to mind until they fell asleep tangled up in each other. She and Capa were able to keep their new relationship a secret for about a week maximum before the crew found out on their own. They were delighted to discover that none of the rest of the crew were surprised that they ended up together. There was initially some concern, but ultimately the crew accepted it and let it continue, because they knew that these moments the crew had together could be the last they have with anyone, so who cares if two of the crew members fell in love?
Mace ribbed Capa about his enthusiastic nightly activities with Y/L/N, and it was nice that he wasn’t fighting with him for once. It was hard for him to believe that Capa, the usually soft-spoken physicist, had that effect on Y/L/N. He even mentioned to Cassie that he has never seen Capa smile as much as he did now, and Cassie added that Y/L/N had a glow about her. For someone as quiet and reserved as Capa, Mace found it amusing that his new girlfriend could bring him out of his shell like that, and although he would never admit it, he was glad that it was Y/L/N.
Capa was bashful about discussing his relationship with Y/L/N to the others, shying away from the sexual aspect, but he had no issue praising her and giving her credit when it was due. It was obvious that he was absolutely head over heels for Y/L/N, and she blushed anytime the crew teased her or tried to get her to reveal any juicy details about their rendezvous behind closed cabin doors. They were in love, and it brought a new positive energy to the rest of the mission. Kaneda was thankful that everyone seemed to be getting along better and in good spirits, while Trey and Harvey were indifferent towards the two physicists becoming a couple, but thrilled for them nonetheless.
Searle, being a doctor, wasn’t really concerned with it, but was also excited for them. He pretended not to notice the love marks Capa bit into Y/L/N’s neck or the faint scratches she had left on Capa’s shoulders, and especially tried to ignore the way Y/L/N would squirm slightly when she sat down. Corazon, happily content that a relationship so strong could come from something so hellish, reminded everyone that they had a surplus of oxygen coming from the garden due to overgrowth. The crew would still have more than enough oxygen to go around, whether Capa and Y/L/N were “fucking like rabbits” or not, as Mace put it.
After a few weeks of calculations, trajectory adjustments, and protocols during the day and exploring each other and falling in love more and more at night, Capa led the rest of the crew to carry out the mission successfully. Capa made sure everything was done exactly to plan, and he didn’t do anything without his girl by his side, from the ignition of the bomb all the way through the terrifying trek back to Earth.
It didn’t matter how many times the crew had practiced and prepared for the descent back to solid ground, the airsickness still hit Y/L/N the hardest. It was the part of being an astronaut she hated the most, and she never quite got used to it. Capa was well aware of this having seen her go through it during their zero-gravity training, and he felt bad that it was hard on her. He was one of the lucky ones who could handle it well; the worst of it for him was a slight change in equilibrium that left him briefly lightheaded. But now he took care of her lovingly, holding her hair out of the way and rubbing her back as the nausea won the battle against her, never leaving her side until he knew she was okay.
She was embarrassed about it as it was happening, not wanting anyone to see her so violently ill, but was eventually able to joke about it once the sick, spinning feeling dissipated. All of that initial anxiety melted away knowing her boyfriend was right there beside her, making sure she felt well enough before taking care of any other necessary tasks. He reassured her that a lot of people are really sensitive to it, and that it’s nothing to be ashamed of. In an attempt to make light of the situation, Capa reminded her that the reduced-gravity aircraft they used during their weightlessness training was called the “Vomit Comet” for a reason.
As the Icarus II landed, the crew was met with a massive crowd of people cheering them on, congratulating them on their historic achievement, while also mourning the deaths of the previous Icarus crew. Once everyone was back to their normal selves, or as close to it as possible, Cassie, Mace, Corazon, Trey, Searle, Harvey, and Kaneda all went back to their homes in various places around the world.
Meanwhile, Capa and Y/L/N settled down somewhere in the halfway point between their hometowns, close enough to Capa’s sister and her kids in one direction, and Y/L/N’s family in the other. They had found themselves a nice house outside of the city, and the two built their own small planetarium in their backyard together. Their two-story home was modest but just enough for them; not too small, but not too big either. It was there that they stayed happily for the next couple of years.
______________________________________________________________
It was a warm April day, but to Capa, it wasn’t just any typical day. Today was special.
The solar eclipse was happening today. He hadn’t seen an eclipse on Earth in many years. He has seen a few eclipses from the vantage point of the Icarus II in space, but it’s been a long time since he’s experienced one from the ground, and it just so happened that the path of totality was going right over his house he shared with his girlfriend, Y/L/N.
Of course, being a physicist and an astronaut, he knew the date and time of when the Moon was supposed to pass in front of the Sun ahead of time -- months, maybe years in advance -- and he knew he wanted to experience it with the love of his life. Even more than that, he wanted to make the experience as beautiful and as romantic as he possibly could. It was because of the couple and the rest of the Icarus II crew that they were able to view such a remarkable thing from Earth after all.
While Y/L/N was away for a few hours finishing a few last-minute errands, Capa was busy in their backyard in the midday spring air, setting up a massive telescope and a camera. Next to his setup, he spread out a large blanket on the grass, and on it he set a bottle of wine and two glasses. As he was getting the angle of the telescope just right and setting the time lapse to the correct adjustments on the camera, he thought he heard Y/L/N’s car pull into their driveway. As she got out of the car, she looked around for him, but didn’t see him right away.
“Sweetheart, I’m home!” she called out. She waited a second before calling out for him again. “Robert? Honey?”
“I’m in the backyard, baby,” he called back to her. “I’ll be right there.” Capa walked over to her to help her carry the bags into the house. He helped her put the groceries away in the kitchen, and once everything had been taken in and put away, he pulled her to his chest and wrapped his arms around her waist, kissing her deeply, leaving her breathless. She kissed him back, returning his intensity as she held onto his shoulders. She wobbled a little, but Capa held onto her tight, not letting her fall. He gently broke the kiss, his arms still around her.
“Welcome home, sunshine,” Capa said, his eyes full of love. “I was getting nervous for a second there.”
A little dizzy from his kiss, she giggled before answering. “I’m sorry, sweetheart…traffic was backed up, but I made it.” She kissed him again as she hugged him. “How much time do we have until everything goes dark?”
Capa returned the kiss, gently running his hands up and down her back. “We have about half an hour or so before we can see anything happen.” He smiled at her as he played with her hair lovingly. “Might as well head outside so we don’t miss anything cool…what do you think, angel?”
She blushed as she leaned into his touch. “Sure, hun. Let’s go.” She took his hand as he led her outside to their backyard. He helped her sit down on the blanket he put out for them before sitting down next to her. Her eyes widened at the romantic scene he had created for the two of them, the telescope and the camera, as well as the bottle of wine and glasses, and the string lights he attached to the sides of their little planetarium.
He opened the bottle and poured the wine into a glass and handed it to her, before doing the same for himself. “Here you go, my love,” he said as he handed the glass to her.
She gently took the glass from him and smiled. “Thank you, sweetheart.” They tapped their glasses together before they each took a sip. “God, baby, this is really beautiful,” she said, her voice wavering slightly as she rested her head on his shoulder.
He kissed her forehead tenderly. “Not nearly as beautiful as you are,” he said as he smiled back, wrapping his arm around her. “I love you so much. Forever and always.” he said as he planted another small kiss on the top of her head.
“I love you too. So much. With my whole heart.” she replied, nuzzling up closer to him.
Capa leaned over to kiss her on the lips one more time. “Shouldn’t be too much longer…it’s getting kinda dark, and it’s quiet all of a sudden.” He moved slightly to look through the telescope lens. “We’re really close now, I think.” He pulled away and moved the lens towards her. “Here, look at this…it reminds me of all those eclipses you and I used to watch together on the ship, just smaller and farther away.”
She looked through the lens and smiled. “I’ll never get tired of looking at things like this,” she said as the sky started to dim. “It’s always so breathtaking to see.”
While she was distracted by looking at the interstellar image in the eyepiece of the telescope, he stood up and reached into his pocket to pull out an engagement ring with a sunstone gem encrusted in the center, and hid it inside his hand. The sky was getting darker still, and the Moon was almost completely covering the Sun.
“Y/F/N?” he asked as he stood in front of her.
She pulled away from the telescope, and Capa helped her to her feet with his free hand. “Yes, Robert?” she asked as the Moon moved closer to blocking the Sun. “What is it?” The sky turned pitch black except for the light coming from the Sun beginning to hide behind the Moon.
He swallowed as he chose his words carefully. “You mean the world to me, Y/F/N. You are my world. Being with you has made me the happiest man on Earth.” He slowly dropped down to one knee in front of her, causing her to gasp as he took her left hand in both of his. “I want nothing more than to spend the rest of my life right here with you. Will you marry me?” he asked gently and lovingly as tears started to form in his eyes.
She trembled and started to cry tears of joy. “Oh my God…yes! Of course I’ll marry you!”
Tears started to fall down his cheeks as he slipped the ring onto her finger. He stood back up and took her into his arms and kissed her deeply. She wrapped her arms around him and kissed him back, his tears mixing with hers. Overhead, the Sun appeared as a white circle in the sky, while the string lights glimmered behind them in the darkness caused by the eclipse.
“I love you, sunshine. More than anything else in the universe.” Capa said as he gently wiped away the tears from her face. He smiled as he wrapped his arms around her in a tight hug. As they held each other, the sky began to brighten back up. He pulled away from the hug to kiss her deeply again. “I love you so much.”
“I love you, too, sweetheart. So much. More than words can ever say.” she replied, kissing away his tears. “I can’t wait to be your wife.”
Capa blushed. “And I can’t wait to be your husband.” He kissed her back, holding her tightly in silence for a bit before speaking again. “So how was that? Pretty awesome, huh?”
She giggled and blushed. “Everything was amazing! Absolutely beautiful! I’m the luckiest woman on the planet to have you.” She kissed his cheek as she held him close.
Capa smiled and blushed as well. “Good, I’m glad. And I’m the luckiest man on the planet to have you, too.” He kissed her back with a little bit more passion than before. “I was thinking…”
She kissed him back, matching his intensity. “Oh? Thinking about what?” she asked, looking into his beautiful cobalt blue eyes.
“I was thinking that maybe we can go to bed early tonight…you know, to celebrate,” he said with an air of seduction in his voice. “And we don’t have anything going on tomorrow…” He kissed her again, this time biting her bottom lip softly and tugging on it with his teeth before letting it go, eliciting a small moan from her.
She kissed him back, feeling a wet warmth pool between her thighs as he ran his hands up and down her body. She moaned breathlessly before speaking. “Yeah? And how should we do that?”
Capa smiled wickedly as he began to kiss her jawline and collarbone before leaving a lingering kiss where her neck meets her shoulder. “Well, I could start there…”
She moaned a little louder. “My God…you know what happens when you do that…” she breathed as he continued to tease her.
Capa laughed slyly. “Believe me, I’m well aware of what happens, and I’ll never get sick of it. What do you say we go upstairs…” he trailed off before kissing her neck again, his teeth lightly scraping against her collarbone. “I’ve spent enough time exploring the sky when I’d much rather spend all night exploring my future wife,” he murmured, his lips against hers. “And every night after that.”
She swooned at his words, feeling weak at the knees in his arms. “Anything you say, baby,” she whispered. “I’m all yours. Forever.”
“Forever with you sounds pretty fantastic to me,” he said, full of desire for her. Wasting no time at all, Capa took her by the hand and led her into the house. “I’ll be right back, babe. I’ll meet you in the bedroom in a minute,” he said, his voice dripping with lustful need. She didn’t need him to tell her twice as she started up the stairs, but not before he playfully swatted her on the ass on her way up, making her giggle. He practically ran out to bring everything they had left outside into the house as fast as he could, shutting the door behind him with a soft slam when he came back in. He threw the blanket on a chair, leaned the telescope against the wall, set the camera down next to it, and brought the bottle of wine and the two glasses upstairs with him. He entered their bedroom and put everything in his hands on the nightstand.
Capa saw his now-fiancée sitting on the edge of their bed, eagerly waiting for him. “Took you long enough,” she teased him as she bit her lip looking at him. “I was beginning to wonder if you’d ever come back.” Her voice was sultry as she shifted on their mattress.
Blushing, Capa rolled his eyes in mock annoyance as he smiled, and teased her right back. “I was gone maybe two seconds max…you want me that bad already, huh?” She nodded as he took her into his arms again, kissing her deeply as he pulled her closer. Kneeling on the mattress in front of him as he stood at the edge of the bed, she returned his kisses as she lifted his shirt up and over his head before tossing it to the floor. “Good, because I need to have you right now,” he said, his excitement becoming nearly painful. Capa then started to undo the buttons of her shirt, fumbling with them slightly before giving in. He ripped it clear off of her shoulders, sending buttons flying in all directions, causing her to gasp and giggle in delight. He dragged her ruined shirt off of her shoulders and threw it behind him as he pulled one of the straps of her bra down to kiss her collarbone.
“You asked for it, love…I told you, you know what happens when you kiss me and bite me like that.” She kissed him again as she started to unbuckle his belt. “I think you know by now I can’t behave when you torture me.” She shot him a sexy wink before kissing him again. His breath caught in his throat as she tore his belt from around his hips and threw it to the floor to join his shirt.
“Torture, huh? Are you sure? Because something tells me you enjoy it. Quite a lot.” His voice had a sensual danger about it, and it thrilled her. He held her chin with his forefinger and thumb before dropping his voice to a velvety whisper. “And yes, I know exactly what happens. I want to see how much you can take. I also happen to know each and every thing that drives you wild.” He unhooked her bra with his free hand and took it off of her so slowly that she trembled. “See? Just like that.”
Thank you for reading! I hope you guys liked it, and if you did, I'd be happy to hear your thoughts and my requests are open! <3

Team stan with a fem s/o who likes to draw on herself
stan and the gang with f!reader who draws on herself
cw, sexual jokes,
kenny
he finds it so cute. he'd look over at you to see if your paying attention and see you just drawing on your hand
he looks forward to the multiple drawings on your palm. sometimes even he draws on them, usually he draws penises or stickmen of you and him
is still surprise how you manage to wash it all off and come to school with a clean hand as if you didn't draw the fucking forest on your hand the day before
"kenny stop drawing dicks what if a teacher sees" "can i draw dicks leaking cum" "WHAT THE FUCK 😢😢"
one time you got sent to mackeys for his stupid ass penis drawing and you don't let him draw on your hand ever again
stan
i like to think he does this too, class is boring and the only way to distract him from sleeping is to draw on his hands.
you two definitely play tic tac toe. you both draw the columns on your hands and you place an x at a spot he'd draw it on his hand and you do the same when he puts a o on a empty spot.
Kyle's inbetween you two and just watching you raise your hand to stan and stan go "oooo good one" and drawing something on his hand.
once he even saw you drawing on your thighs and he's like HUH😧😧. luckily your skirt was a bit long and hide the very inappropriate drawings you did.
kyle
finds it cute, you sit beside him and its so exciting for him to see you draw something on your hand bc after this class ends he examines every drawing you did.
he would definitely draw on your hand, sometimes he writes things for you to read while in class like "hi y/n see you after your next class :)"
he also doesn't understand how you come to school the next day with clean ass hands, his hands is still full of the flowers and hearts you drew yesterday like huh did you bleach your hands??
contemplates wether to draw stick men fucking each other..... nah... or maybe he should??
cartman
finds it so goofy, like baby we're in highschool why you drawing on your hand?? 🤣🤣
would report to a teacher "teacher y/ns drawing dicks on her hand again 🥺🥺" AS IF HE DIDN'T DREW THEM BEFOREHAND
you do not let him draw on your hand but he goes all emotional and you have to just to have your hands full of penises and fuck you's written.
he actually finds it so adorable like damn you are so cute🤭🤞🤞
butters
POOR BOY THOUGHT IT WAS TATTOOS 😭😭. he was so concerned "where did you get them?? aren't you still underaged?? did it hurt??" when you said it came from a pen he was like 🧍😧 "YOU DRAW SO WELL" its literally a flower with a cat beside it.
he brings a jacket to school so he can give it to you so you can hide the drawings on your hand.
he still thinks it hurts cz a pens tip is like pointy,,, how do you do it??
draws on your hands too, you can easily tell which one he drew and which one you drew bc on your left hand is cats, smily faces, flowers hearts and stickmen holding each others arm and on the right is a huge penis also flowers and then a cat dancing.

Things I’ve noticed while re-watching Owl House:
Eda’s been living on borrowed time since season 1. She thought she was going to disappear on that bridge, and she certainly didn’t expect to have her time non-feathered to be doubled. That (and other things) has led her to be much more willing to die in season 2- she isn’t running anymore, but she’s not fighting much either. She plans to go out with Raine. She plans to hand herself over to the Emperor. She plans to die on the Day of Unity with Lilith as long as King and Luz are far, far away. Finally she plans to die in front of the entire city of Bonesborough to give Luz and King a better future
Eda put a LOT of work into being Luz’s mentor. It’s not really mentioned but in episode four she states that she “hasn’t figured out how old Witches performed magic”, but in Adventures in the Elements she has a whole training itinerary planned around elements and how connecting was/is important to old Witches. We also see she had a GIANT stack of overdue library books. I’m willing to bet she put a lot of time and reading into helping Luz with her glyphs.
Luz probably overheard Camila’s statement about Vee being “such a strong girl” and may have been somewhat hurt bc Camila implied she’d not had that before. It’s not intentional on Camila’s part but we all know Luz goes the extra mile to feel ashamed.
Even though Hunter tells Luz to stop messaging him he still apologizes when he sends her a photo of Flapjack. Idk I just think that’s polite and cute.
Of the covens we know the least about Construction magic. With Oracles we at least know about their mummy things they bring out. All we know about Construction is power glyphs and that they seem to almost earthbend
If Alador hasn’t had a day off in five years but has only recently stopped talking to the kids bc of the Abomatons that implies he was still socially active in their lives to some degree.
Belos saying Hunter looked the most like his brother while also having given him that big fuck off cheek scar makes me feel like at one point he really hated that and tried to “change” it
Luz and Hunter are the only characters in the show to have had any prolonged discussions with Belos. Even Kiki only got a few orders and jabs and that’s it. Just a subtle bit of his distaste for Witches even today.
Likewise Luz and Hunter both share the common denominator of being scarred by Belos
Even though Boscha keeps her word not to outright bully the gang after losing in Grudgby she still keeps surprisingly intertwined in their day-to-day lives, even stopping by Luz’s club to pester her AND seeming to be legitimately interested in Luz’s life goals. I feel like in Boscha’s mind she sees it as like. Rival pals.
Despite being a giant bigot Belos still called Kikimora “Kiki” once or twice. It literally doesn’t matter I just find it hilarious. “I hate Witches and witchcraft but I draw the line on not using nicknames.”
Considering King didn’t live in his hatching place OR have the engraving on his collar for like eight years of his life if the Collector hadn’t been busy with Belos he likely would’ve found him instantly with the wanted posters
Lilith saw Eda as “dangerous” and “misguided” and I think a lot of that drew back to when she witnessed the Owl Beast attack and permanently disable their father
Raine only knew Eda for like seven months before she became cursed. They’ve literally known her for most of her life but almost all of that time came from after that point. Idk I just think it’s interesting bc Eda always saw her curse as a burden but to Raine it’d been part of her life so long they probably feel like it’s just... her.
The Day of Unity had basically nothing to do with Phillip going home, it was just a “fuck you all and die” as he left.
I feel like no one really talks about this but Gwendolyn and Dell are Wild Witches. Yes they're both in covens but Dell is secretly regrowing damage done by Belos and Gwen seeks outside-coven help AND steals magic artifacts to try to heal Eda, like none of this is legal
Also I feel like no one talks about how the pain sharing spell and the fist raising Eda and Lily do as kids is probably Wild in origin. No one else uses verbal spells and we've seen organized witches duels today and they don't do that gesture.
Vee is a very quiet and easily panicked girl and while that's perfectly natural after all she's been through when 'Luz' came back from camp Camila probably assumed the worst
Unless we get a flashback to King’s dad or a flash-forward to grown-up King we will never see a grown living Titan.

Hey there! I saw your most recent posts and I love how you write! Could I get a request of a sleep deprived reader who stays awake after being ambushed by cops or bandits. And maybe Vash convinces them to rest after seeing how tired they are? Maybe sprinkle a bit of fluff? x
Tumblr media
Zero O' Clock
A/n: oooo I dig this. Also I have been sleep deprived for a couple of days so this hits too close to home :'). I'm always up to write for this ray of sunshine. Plus, we all know this man would do anything to make sure you get the proper rest you need. Happy reading!
For the past several nights, you haven't gotten the best of sleep. Your eyes were starting to dry quickly and not adjust to the sunlight. Your body felt lethargic and a bit tingly every now and then from the lack of sleep. Your usual happy and cheery self was replaced with an irritable mood that even Wolfwood knew not to provoke you. You've been like this ever since the group was ambushed multiple times at night.
You were sleeping underneath the dark vast sky of the desert on top of the sand dunes. Like Vash, you were a light sleeper but you could easily fall asleep after making yourself comfortable. So right when you were about to drift off, you heard multiple foot steps running towards your camping site. Your eyes were wide open from hearing the sound as you got up. You and Vash spotted a group of bandits heading your way. You scrambled to wake the others as Vash and Wolfwood were trying to slow them down with their weapons. Eventually, the whole gang managed to clumsily pile into Meryl's car and as she stepped on the gas pedal. You thought that would be the end of it, but you were horribly wrong.
Two days after that incident, you were getting cozy with your sleeping bag after eating a hearty meal. Right when you dozed off, you only got to enjoy maybe 5 minutes of peace before Vash woke you up as you heard yelling from afar. This time it was bounty hunters closing in on the group with their fleet of Thomas. And so the cycle repeated itself once more as everyone had to wake up and make another getaway. All it took were those two ambushes to shake you to your core. Your mind and body were on edge no matter how much you wanted to sleep. The most you could do was close your eyes and just pass the time until sunrise. While your group was able to go back to their usual sleeping routines, your adrenaline and paranoia grew more each night.
Eventually, Meryl spotted a city nearby with a hotel and managed to get everyone rooms. You thought this would help you with your sleep predicament but to no avail. Another sleepless night of trying to close your eyes. You only managed to look at the ceiling or stare at your window with the moonlight shining. Once the sun's rays landed on your face, you sighed. You tried to look presentable before making your way to the lobby and grabbing something to eat. When you went downstairs you saw Vash was already sitting at one of the tables with his breakfast and another plate next to him. The blonde then noticed your presence as he waved at you.
"Good morning Y/n! I got you a plate!" he greeted as you couldn't help but smile at him. He constantly thinks about others and goes the extra mile what being told. His benevolent and cheery self always made you have faith in humanity once more when things seem bleak. Vash just had a natural charm that drew people to him, including you.
"Morning to you too Vash. I appreciate how thoughtful you are. Are the others joining us?" you asked as you took a seat next to him. It was moments like this you learned to appreciate Vash's company. It wasn't every day you get to enjoy moments like this with him where you can be comfortable and enjoy a meal together.
"Meryl and Roberto are out getting fuel for the car. Wolfwood is out and about probably getting some of his usual items. So it's just us here," he explained as you took a bite of your food and looked at him. So you were one of the lasts to wake up. Once he was done talking, he went to go put away his plate and came back to his seat.
"So what about you, what are your plans?" he asked giving you his full attention.
"I figured I'd grab a couple of things in town or see if anyone needs help before we head out to our next destination. What about you? I thought you'd be helping one of the townspeople by now," you spoke. You didn't want to be a burden, especially with moody you were with Roberto and Wolfwood. You didn't mean to, and thought you would make it up to them somehow.
"Yeah about that, something else came up," Vash vaguely answered as you cocked an eyebrow at him. Vash having a higher priority that was more important than helping civilians? You wondered what he was up to as you managed to finish eating.
"Oh, and what would that be?" you asked staring at him. You then saw his glasses hide his eyes with those oranges reflective shades. You got a glimpse of your reflection and felt a bit unnerved. Anytime his glasses did that, you knew the blonde was up to something.
"Y/n, how have you been feeling lately?" he asked as he slightly scooted closer to you. You were slightly caught off guard as you bit your lip.
"I'm peachy as ever, why?" you asked trying to convince him with your tone. You were catching on to his question, and the last thing you wanted to do was make him worry about you. He already carried a large burden on his shoulders, the last thing you wanted was to add to that burden. Vash's eyebrows furrowed as you were starting to grow tense from how close he was to you.
"Y/n, you don't have to pretend with me. I noticed you've been acting different with the others. You've also been quiet the past couple of days. I don't know what's going on, but you can talk to me. I just want to know if you're okay," Vash replied as you looked away. So he noticed your behavior too. You felt guilty that you made him worry. You debated on how to answer him as you bit your lip once more. You snuck a glance at him once more and you saw his blue eyes staring right at your e/c eyes. His eyes were filled with concern, yet he showed a small sad smile. It was almost as if he looked like he was giving you the puppy face which pulled your heart strings.
"Okay, fine I'll tell you. I'm not okay. I've been having a hard time sleeping lately. It's why I've been a little irritable and distant lately. I've been trying to sleep but nothing works. Doesn't matter if I sleep early, take a hot shower, or have a heavy meal, I keep staying up late," you caved in. Vash listened and rested his chin on the palm of his hands. He let you talk as he listened, but you could tell his worried expression grew.
"When did you first start having trouble sleeping?" Vash questioned. You told him how you first noticed since the ambushes started. It was specifically after the second one was when you were up all night. You also mentioned how you didn't want to burden anyone with your problems since they were nothing compared to what everyone else was facing.
"Y/n, you mean to tell me it's been going on ever since that day?" he asked once more as you sheepishly nodded.
"Were you able to sleep last night?" he continued as you shook your head.
"Are you nervous that it's going to happen again?" he asked.
"I don't know, maybe," you said as you wondered too. Vash looked deep in thought as you stared at him feeling vulnerable with the man you adored. Then Vash looked at you and put his human hand over yours as this small gesture caught you completely off guard with your heart racing.
"Well that settles it, you're going to sleep in for the day," he chimed as you looked at him with complete shock. Before you could say anything, he grabbed your hand and led you back to your room. You couldn't get over how warm his hand was as your face was flustered. Sure you've brushed shoulders briefly with him, but him holding your hand for this long? Were you hallucinating from the lack of sleep?
He managed to get a hold of your room key and led you inside before he closed the door behind him.
"You really want me to sleep in? I feel bad Vash," you told him as he sighed.
"Y/n, you haven't slept in days. Besides, you can't help others if you're not helping yourself first. I know the others will understand," he pointed out as you gave in. You knew he was right as you made your way to your bed and laid down. Vash walked up to you and flashed you a quick smile as you hid your face under the covers.
"Now rest up, and don't even think about sneaking out. I'll be guarding the door," he warned as you pouted. He knew you too well. What shook you more was that he was pulling up a chair next to the bed as you felt your cheeks and ears turning red.
"Vash, what are you doing?" you asked him.
"Making sure you don't escape and actually go to sleep," he answered like it was no big deal.
"Y-you're really going to stay here with me while I try to sleep?" you asked once more as you emphasized the sleep part. You needed to be sure as he nodded his head with no hesitation. You heart rate was becoming erratic as your mind was racing.
"I think maybe you've been having trouble sleeping since you feel like you're expecting something to happen like the ambushes. I figured maybe you'd relax if you knew someone was here to watch over you while you sleep. It could help remove the stress," Vash explained as you gave it some thought. At this point, you were running out of options and you were willing to try anything at this point.
"Hey Vash, why are you doing all of this for me? You could be helping others like you usually do when we're at different cities," you asked out of curiosity.
"Well it's because I care about you. You're important to me and the group. The last thing I want is for something to happen to you when we're out traveling," he explained. Thankfully the blanket was covering part of your face as your blush grew a deeper color. Vash really made you feel all sorts of things. Your mind kept replaying his answer as you tried to get comfortable.
"Thanks Vash, I appreciate you doing this," you commented as you tried to focus on sleeping.
"Of course, I'm always happy to help. If something ever bothers you, know that I'm here Y/n," he reassured as you gave him a small smile. As you closed your eyes, you heard Vash humming a song. It was a beautiful melody that was ever so soothing. You turned your head towards Vash again and opened your eyes. You knew Vash had an alluring voice, but for him to carry a tune? He continued to surprise you more and more each day.
"What song is that?" you asked him as he perked up.
"It's something I used to sing to myself whenever I got scared or anxious. It always helps calm me down. I'm sorry, is it bothering you?" he spoke as you shook your head.
"No, I like it. It's a beautiful melody," you answered with a slight yawn. It was harder to keep your eyes open the more Vash kept humming. Your breathing was finally slowing as you hadn't felt this relaxed in awhile.
"Sleep well Y/n, I'll be right here," Vash commented as you dozed off with a smile. He continued to quietly sing until he was sure you were fast asleep. After 30 minutes, Vash went up to you and adjusted the covers as he saw you shiver a bit. He then gave a quick kiss to your head and sat back down as he watched fondly over you. It wasn’t until later on he decided to doze off for the day.
Bonus:
Wolfwood was looking around for you and Vash as he noticed how quiet it was around town. Usually there would be some commotion going off right now. It wasn’t until he saw a glimpse of Vash dragging you into your room and then putting the “Do not Disturb” sign out the door.
“Well, that wasn’t on my bingo card. But good for them,” Wolfwood whistled to himself with a smirk.

BIKER CHRIS P.2
Tumblr media
Warnings:swearing,suggestive content,fem reader,nickname “ma”,a bit of jealous Chris,fighting.
:y/n never really found her self getting along with Chris, but she always felt there was something deeper that drew them back to each other and that darn bike.
Quick A/N: I do apologise but I decided to change the perspective of the story to 1st person it just seemed better!

🏍️
——————————————
I sighed staring down at the message from Chris, what had I done I just had sex with my best friends brother, the brother that I was supposed to despise. “y/n?” Someone called out to me, shit it was Nick. Before he could walk in I straightened out my outfit, ruffled with my hair and hesitantly opened the door. “Heyy Nick, sorry I was just on the phone.”i said trying to play of the fact I was getting fucked by his brother not even 15 minutes ago. “Oh okay… You could have just came in and spoke to whoever was calling you,” Nick replied. I just nodded. “Anyways, I was thinking we could rewatch the scooby doo films!”he smiled. “Sounds fun.”I said smiling.
After putting my stuff in nicks room, getting some blankets and getting some junk food we sat down on the couch turning on the TV. But before I could get comfortable someone slid down beside me, it was Chris he just smirked at me before looking at the film that was currently playing. Nick seemed to take no notice in the short interaction that had just happened his focus on the film.
We were all sat in silence for roughly 30 minutes until I felt a hand on my thigh. It was Chris I just glared at him as he started making circles on my thigh with his thumb, for the rest of the film his thumb stayed on my thigh until Nick spoke. “I’m gonna go in my room now, y/n feel free to come in whenever cause I’ll probably just be on TikTok or something.” “Okay.”I replied smiling as he left the room, I waited until I knew Nick was in his room to turn to Chris. “Chris what the hell was that about?”I said frowning. “What was what?”he replied raising an eyebrow. “You know what I’m talking about don’t try be funny.”I hissed back at him. He just rolled his eyes standing up. “Go grab your jacket and meet me outside in five I’m taking you somewhere”he said before walking into his room.
Around 15 minutes later I walked outside to see Chris leaning against the garage his motorcycle next to him. “Where are we going?”I asked. “You’ll find out when we get there,”he replied smiling placing a helmet on my head. “Now get on.”he added looking towards his bike.
After we had both got on the bike Chris sped off down a quiet road, but as we went further down the road the sound of music getting louder and louder caught my attention. “Chris, now will you tell me where we’re going?” I asked once again. “We’re literally two minutes away, so you might as well wait.”he replied pulling up. Almost immediately the smell of tobacco and alcohol filled my nose. I looked around a small bar with loads of people and there motorcycles outside, was Chris in a biker gang? And as if he had read my mind he said. “No I’m not in a biker gang if that’s what you thinking, I just hang here with a few friends.”
We parked up and I slowly slid off the bike looking around, most of them looked like Middle Aged men apart from a group of four younger men and one girl which I’m guessing are Chris’ friends. “Just follow me you’ll be fine.” He spoke softly, placing his hand on the small of my back as we walked towards his group of friends. “Yo Chris who’s that?”One of the men spoke. Chris rolled his eyes, “this is y/n, y/n Marcus.” He said, looking down at me. I just awkwardly waved at them.
It had been around 30 minutes, and every time I tried to take in my surroundings I caught Marcus eyeing me up. I looked up at Chris in return he smiled. Obviously oblivious to his supposed friend eying me up. “Chris when are we going back? Nick also has no clue where we are.”I asked him, hoping he would realise how desperate I was to leave. “Soon I promise and Nick won’t care anyways.” He replied continuing his conversation with Marcus who in return just smirked at me.
Eventually Chris noticed the tension between me and Marcus and took me to the side and began speaking to me. “Is everything alright ma, you’ve been acting weird since we’ve been here?” “I’m fine I probably just need a cigarette break or something.”I mumbled, grabbing the box of cigarettes out my back pocket bringing one to my lips. “If you say so, I’m just going to speak to Aaron I’ll be back.” He whispered in my ear walking off.
I looked around awkwardly, Marcus looking right back at me. He began walking over. “So how come Chris hasn’t ever brought you here before, are you just one of his fuck buddies?”he spoke, turning his head to the side slightly. I didn’t answer, I was practically frozen in place. Around a bunch of bikers and possible criminals. I looked for Chris, no where to be seen. I just wanted to cry, I hated social events especially this. “Are you gonna answer me darlin?” Marcus chuckled. I just looked down. Please come back Chris. Please just walk back over here so we can leave.
It was as if god had answered my prayers, Chris caught my eye. He was coming back thank goodness. He walked over looking at me and Marcus. “You alright?” He asked Marcus. “Yeah, just speaking to your fuck buddy.”he replied kicking his foot back and forth.“What did you just call her?” Chris frowned. “Im guessing she’s your favourite fuck Buddy or something cause you never bring anyone here with you.”Marcus chuckled. I saw Chris’ fists tense as the words left Marcus’ mouth.
But just as Marcus began speaking I watched Chris punch him right in the jaw. “Chris!” I shouted. He didn’t reply, just carried on fighting with Marcus.
Everyone else around us was now paying attention. Chris’ supposed friends walking over to us. “What the fuck is going on.”one of them spoke to me, the other rushing forward to split the two of them up. “Don’t you ever speak to her like that again you fucking Jackass.” Chris spat walking back towards me. “We’re leaving.” He said sternly. I just nodded, turning to look back at Marcus. Marcus was now speaking to a few of the other bikers there, they all turned to look at us giving me dirty looks as me and Chris left.
Me and Chris didn’t speak once when we first left, but the sound of multiple motorcycles speeding up caught my attention. “Uh Chris, is that the only place where people meet up?” I asked turning to look behind me. “Uh yeah why?” He said confused.
When I turned to look behind me, I saw roughly 5 people including Marcus. They were following us. “Fuck Chris, I think Marcus followed us. And he’s not alone.” I whispered just loud enough for Chris to hear. As soon as I said that I felt Chris speed up. “Hold on, we will be home soon. I’m sorry for getting you in this shit ma.” He spoke softly. “It’s okay Chris it’s not your fault.” I sighed, looking back again. This time Marcus was closer he just smirked at me, the same smirk he’s been doing the whole night. As he sped up. “Chris, come back I just want to talk to you!” Marcus shouted. I frowned, fucking weirdo. “What’s up with your weird ass friends?”I asked. Chris payed no attention, still trying to get away from the bikers that were catching up on us now.
We had been driving for around 5 minutes now, driving down street after street. Turning corner after corner. I looked behind us. They were finally gone. “Chris there gone now.” I said loosening the grip I had around his waist. “I know, I’m taking you somewhere else.”He mumbled trying to keep his focus on the road. I looked around us, once again on a quiet road but this time it never got louder just quieter.
He slowly stopped, we were at a tiny field with a little hill. In the pitch black the only thing seen where the lights from the houses surrounding us. “What are we doing here Chris?” I asked. “Just wait.” He said, grabbing my wrist walking us up to the top of the hill. “This is where I go when I want to get away from everyone. I don’t ever see anyone here so I knew Marcus wouldn’t follow us down here.”he said smiling. “Chris this is beautiful.”I said, looking at the empty field. It was peaceful. I had never thought of Chris as a quiet place kind of person. “Well I’m glad you like it.” He said sitting down on the grass. I sat down next to him, as he took the helmet off my head and took his own one off.
“I’m sorry for tonight.” He apologised once again. “Chris y’know you don’t have to apologise again.”I said looking at him. He smiled slightly. “Chris I have two questions.” I said. He hummed in response. “Before all this, why did you always used to give me so much shit?” I asked playing with my fingers. He shrugged sighing. “I don’t know, I guess I just didn’t really know what to say to you.” “Oh, and what happened to me speaking to you in your room?” I said resting my head on his shoulder. “I guess I just wanted you to meet my friends but that didn’t end very well.”He said mumbling the end.
We sat in silence for around 5 minutes before he turned to look at me. “I know I’m really shit at these kinds of things- but y/n would you be my girlfriend?” He said smiling. My eyes widened slightly at the words that had just left his mouth. Chris sturniolo asking me to be his girlfriend was definitely not what I expected to leave his mouth.
He looked at me his smile fading as I still hadn’t replied. “So, Will you?” He asked once again. “Chris is that a silly question, of course I will!” I said smiling. He chuckled slightly before pulling me in pecking my lips.
——————————-
A/N: sorry for the short shitty ending I honestly fumbled on this hardd.. I just needed to get it out as it has been like 2 weeks or possibly longer.

How the bucci gang sleep hcs
This has been in my drafts since January wtf
BRUNO BUCCIARATI + LEONE ABBACCHIO
all over the place
there is not a single time where these two have woken up in the same position they fell asleep in
like they'll fall asleep spooning, then they'll wake up with half of Bruno's limbs zipped off and Abbacchio sprawled across the bed in a position that looks uncomfortable with her foot in Bruno's face
one of Bruno's legs is probably on the floor and Abbacchio is most likely cuddling one of his arms
they're just used to it at this point
"Leone can you pass me my leg?" "m'kay"
Narancia came in to wake them up one time and screamed because Bruno zipped his head off in his sleep
Mista and Trish teased him about it for weeks
anyway i bet on my life that Bruno and Abba bring out their stands in their sleep
just randomly while they're sleeping Sticky Fingers and Moody Blues pop out
they just look at each other, then down at their users, then back to each other
they end up cuddling too (SENTIENT STANDS SUPREMACY)
it's so cute when Bruno and Abba wake up and see that their stand are cuddling
also Bruno's hair may look perfect 24/7 but in the morning it's SO. FUCKING. MESSY.
he has to immediately brush his hair so no one sees it like that
except Abbacchio
SPEAKING OF ABBACCHIO
when she wakes up her hair is also a mess
just slightly less messy
she has breakfast before she does anything else, then she immediately does her make-up
also don't be surprised if Bruno has Abbacchio's lipstick stains all over his body in the morning
it just means he sucked some girl dick last night
usually on those days Abbacchio wakes up with smudged make-up that she forgot to take off
also Abbacchio has frequent nightmares and often times wakes up in the middle of the night
she doesn't like telling anyone and calms herself down before going back to sleep
Bruno knows about it though
GIORNO GIOVANNA + PANNACOTTA FUGO
these guys are like the opposite of Bruno and Abba
they'll fall asleep cuddling and wake up in the exact same position
usually Fugo's the big spoon because he doesn't like being the little spoon
brings back bad memories y'know?
but anyway they sometimes also bring out their stands in their sleep
GER most of the time
it just likes to pop out to see what's happening
sometimes in the morning when Fugo wakes up, he'll roll over and see GER staring him dead in the eyes
he screams loud enough to wake everyone up
nara, mista and trish all tease him about it
"Did someone get scared~?" "SHUT UP NARANCIA! IT WAS JUST STARING ME DEAD IN THE EYES!" "Pussy lmao" "MISTA" "Nah the boys are right, you are kind of a pussy" "TRISH!"
sometimes purple haze comes out while Fugo's asleep
GER just pops out and hangs out with ph for a bit
anyway Fugo's hair is always a pain in the ass when he wakes up
as for Giorno... uh...
picture Dio's hair but longer
he looks like a younger version of shadow Dio too in the morning lmao
also Giorno bites shit in his sleep
and he's got some sharp canine teeth
the pros of being half-vampire
don't be surprised if when they wake up there's bite marks on Fugo's arms
or if Giorno's biting a pillow
if Giorno's had a stressful day he might move around in his sleep too
not much usually, but one time he ended up sleepwalking
Fugo woke up in the middle of the night and noticed that Giorno wasn't there
panic
he eventually found Giorno wandering around the garden and muttering to himself
it was really funny when Fugo snapped him out of it
then they went back to bed and Giorno bit Fugo's hand so hard it drew blood
true love at it's finest
sometimes Fugo has nightmares and Giorno has to wake him up
on more rare occasions Giorno has a nightmare and wakes up Fugo because he's trembling and shaking so much
GUIDO MISTA
snores
that's about it
he'll sleep in any position there is possible and he'll be comfy in all of them
he's also the deepest sleeper in the team
this guy moves around a lot too
he'll fall asleep in fetal position against the wall, then he'll wake up halfway across the room with his blanket tangled in his legs
sleepovers with him are a nightmare because not only does he snore, but this man also sleeptalks
one time Narancia and Trish were sleeping in his room and they woke up to him mumbling about how far his ass is
they recorded it in case they ever needed to blackmail him
but yeah this guy is a mess
He sleeps naked too
Balls out and everything
Unless Trish and Narancia are sleeping over
In thy case he leaves his pants on
Also on hot nights he SWEATS
This guy naturally runs warm, he gets hot during the night
NARANCIA GHIRGA
Eeperton
Bro sleeps like a baby
Nara just kinda sleeps wherever
He hardly even uses his own room unless someone carries him there
Honk mmimimimi honk mimimimimi
Also they sleep with their blanket wrapped around them like a cocoon
My guy is snug as a bug in a rug fr
This mf does not make ANY noise in their sleep
Completely silent
The amount of times people have thought they were dead because of this is quite a hefty amount
Sleeby
The missile is very sleepy
If they sleep next to someone they cling on for dear life
Also they're a blanket hog
They do not move at all either
TRISH UNA
She sleeps in a princess bed
Also a quiet sleeper
But she does move, unlike Narancia
Goes to sleep like she's in a casket at her funeral and wakes up face down on the opposite side of the bed
If she forgets to take her makeup off before bed she screams and tells Giorno to buy her self-care products
Live laugh love Trish
Sometimes she sleeps with Sheila E (I wish lesbians were real💔💔)

Hi! I saw you did Sally Face, and you hadn't gotten a request for it yet.
So if you can, how about a Sal fisher x Male reader that's into studying witchcraft and the paranormal?
You can decide if this would be a drabble, one-shot, etc..
A/n: say less anon leave this to me🫡
Little Dark Age
Sal Fisher x male!reader who’s into witchcraft
Tumblr media
kinda goes from headcanons to a little one-shot !!
warnings?: mentions of witchcraft and the paranormal,
!-!more under the cut!-!
—Honestly you being into witchcraft and all things spooky is probably how you met Sal.
—He'd definitely be intrigued, and would probably ask you for help in finding out the secrets of Addison Apartments
—You both click instantly, with his curiosity of the paranormal and your knowledge of it, you both fit hand in hand.
—He asks you a lot of questions regarding the paranormal and that's how he found out you're also into witchcraft.
—He makes jokes about potions and hexes and is actually shocked when you tell him that those are real, though they're not as drastic as people think. He quickly get's over his shock and quickly finds it super cool that you know about all of this stuff.
—He tells you about Megan and you suggest having a Séance in the room her ghost resides in to make it easier for him to communicate with her. It's now a regular thing you both do, sometimes you're able to contact her and other times you're not, either way Sal is still pretty impressed with your skill.
—You guys tried to get Larry to join you both for a Séance once but he freaked out after just stepping foot in the fifth floor, like he just refuses.
—The entire gang calling you a witch whenever they're talking about you
—Todd corrected them all once, calling you a wizard and not a witch since you're male and now it's the only thing Larry calls you. At least Sal still uses your name sometimes but Larry seems to have taken a vow to never say it again.
—After gaining a bit more trust in your relationship Sal would tell you about the shadow ghost he'd been seeing around, asking for help to contact it or seeing if you know more about it.
—You freak out when he tells you about it though he can tell you're trying to hide it. You give him a Hazar necklace (one of those blue-eye amulets) and tell him you'll place a protection spell on him while you look into his shadow entity.
—He now wears that amulet religiously and practically never takes it off.
—He's asked you to try and contact Larry's dad the way you do with Megan but you don't follow through with it since you're not sure how Larry would feel about it.
—When he first meets Ash he stupidly asks you to make a love potion for him. You tell him you won't do it because it can be dangerous and you're jealous, and he's a bit sad but understands nonetheless.
—I ran out of ideas so here's a one-shot about the scenario above
----
"Come on Y/n please! Just this once," Sal begged you as he stood in your living room, hoping that this time your answer would change, however it didn't. "No." "I'll never ask you for anything ever again! I swear! Come on man..use your wizard powers and whip something up for me!" "For the last time Sal, I am not making you a "love potion" for some stupid girl." You crossed your arms, a pout resting on your lips as your eyebrows furrowed. "Ash isn't stupid, she's-" Sal sighed in a lovesick way and you rolled your eyes. "Making a love potion can be dangerous, they tend to backfire, you know?" You drew Sal's attention back to you, staring into the holes of his mask where you could just barely make out his blue eyes. It took him a minute, but slowly he nodded, a sigh that you could barely make out escaped his lips and you chuckled.
"You could just confess to her you know?" You mentally cursed yourself out for suggesting such a thing. Even though a part of you wanted to help your dear friend with his girl problems another part of you wanted said girl out of his life completely. Luckily, Sal quickly shut down the idea, "No way man, it was hard enough for me to just become friends with her." You shook your head, biting back a teasing grin as you stared at Sal, "well sorry I can't exactly help you here. If you need me to summon the dead I'm all ears but you and your girl problems can go." You pointed towards the door with a quirk of you eyebrow and you barely saw Sal roll his eyes as he turned to leave with a huff. "Thanks for nothing Y/n, see ya." "Yeah yeah, see ya Sally Face." You sighed, hearing the door close behind, walking over to lock it back. You stared at the wooden frame as your mind wandered to the conversation that took place moments prior. A love potion...would it be hypocritical if you,,,- no! You quickly shook those thoughts from your head, scolding yourself as you walked to your room. Using a love spell on Sally would be ridiculous, not to mention the dangers you just warned Sal himself about. You flopped onto your bed, groaning into your hands as gay thoughts of you and one of your best friends flooded your mind. You can see why Sal felt hopeless enough to ask for a love potion in moments like these, a dry chuckle leaving your mouth at how hypocritical you sounded. 'Just confess to her' you said, as if you yourself don't tremble at the thought of doing the same thing. 'Maybe one day I'll tell him', you think, knowing in your heart that it's probably not true.
----!----
( i hope my limited knowledge on witchcraft and the paranormal was enough)
Thanks for reading! Have a great day/night!!
My requests are OPEN so feel free to request anything! Just make sure you check out my Request Info first!

word count: 8.3k (sorry)
warnings: mentions of drinking, minors dni!!
summary: hyunjin would never have thought he'd end up ditching a party for you. never in his wildest dreams would he have thought he'd end up leaving the girl he so badly wanted to hook up with to come to you instead. however, there he was, arriving at the art studio late at night just to be with you.

Tumblr media
Hooking up with Yerim. That was Hyunjin's plan for the night. Just get to the party, go up to her, talk for a bit, make a move, and then hopefully take her back home like he had wanted to do for a good while now. Simple as that.
Instead, he was standing in the middle of an isolated 24/7 grocery store aisle, at nearly one in the morning, looking for some bottled water to bring you over to the art studio.
He could only laugh over how differently his night was going, according to the original plan.
When Hyunjin first got to the party that night, he would never have thought he would end up ditching it for you. He and his friends were having way too much fun for the idea of leaving early even crossing his mind.
But Changbin, out of all his friends, was missing. And so were you.
That's when he should've known his night would not go to plan.
Bin had let them all know he was arriving a bit later, Hyunjin did not mind that. They saw each other every day at their shared dorm, he could not care less if Changbin ended up skipping the party. What he did mind, however, was the fact that you were not at the party either, at the same time his friend so conveniently wasn't there as well.
"You okay?" Felix asked, handing him a glass of soju as he reached his side.
Hyunjin nodded, staring into the glass he had just accepted from his friend. "Is Y/N coming tonight?"
Felix's eyebrows raised in slight surprise. "Um, no. She said she wasn't coming".
"She isn't?"
"I think she was getting done with next week's art assignment" Seungmin drew his attention.
"On a Saturday night?" Hyunjin incredulously rolled his eyes.
"She isn't the first in our class for no reason".
"Right".
Taking a sip of his drink under his friends' knowing looks, he took a quick look around the place. Minhyuk's parents were mad rich, so the place they got him near campus was way too big for a single person to live in — or so Hyunjin thought. However, he could only admit it was a great place to hold parties at.
Most dance majors were there, along with other people who had tagged along with them —Seungmin being one of them—, yet the place was far from seeming too crowded. Still, he was having a hard time finding Yerim. Leaving his friends' side and walking around to look for her seemed like the right thing to do, and he would've done it right away, if it weren't for the sight of Cherry cheerfully approaching his small group, being followed by your whole gang.
Chaeryeong went straight up to Seungmin, whose face lit up in a split second. Han greeted them all with a smile and wondered where they had gotten their drinks from, not giving Jeongin time to properly greet them as well and dragging him to the kitchen once Felix pointed towards it. Minho greeted them all with a small nod, not bothering to smile at Hyunjin once his eyes fixed on him.
And that was it. Once again, no sight of you.
"Y/N's not coming?" Hyunjin found himself asking before he could stop himself.
Minho's eyes had seemed to throw daggers at him as soon as your name had slipped past his lips. "Why do you care?"
"Yah, don't be mean" Chae slapped his arm, for the first time taking her eyes away from Seungmin and later focusing them on Hyunjin. "She's not. She wanted to be left alone with her art tonight".
"Told you she was not coming" Felix nudged him.
"Told you she was painting" Seungmin mumbled.
Both of their taunting remarks received a roll of eyes from Hyunjin, who had missed Chaeryeong's proud smile as he proceeded to search around the place once more for the blonde he was trying to hook up with — a smirk curving up his mouth when he finally found her by the other side of the living room.
After that, the night had seemed to move rather fast.
Hyunjin had gone up to her and her friends, made his smooth way into the conversation, and managed to get her away from their little circle in a matter of minutes — snatching a seat on the white leather sofa, that left them with little to no space in between their bodies. Lucky him.
However, although he had managed to find the girl he had been looking for since he got there, and although she was now only a couple of centimeters away from him as they shamelessly flirted back and forth, he couldn't seem to stop his eyes from wandering around the place, not exactly knowing what they were looking for.
His aimless stare found its focus when a group of people sat down in a circle near the sofa they were sitting down on, one of them bringing an empty soju bottle and loudly announcing that a round of spin the bottle was about to begin.
Hyunjin rolled his eyes for the third time that night. Lame. But that didn't stop him from looking one by one at each person that had sat down and was willing to play.
None of his friends. So he confirmed when he saw them all still in the previous spot he had left a few minutes ago — a light laugh leaving his mouth at the sight of Chaeryeong pretending to leave Seungmin's side to go play, only to have him pull her right back to him and place his arm around her shoulders. Yeah, they were definitely not playing.
His eyes travelled back to the game already taking place next to him. Still, no sight of you. Thankfully this time.
Hyunjin couldn't stop but wonder what you would've done, had you been there. He had been to a couple of parties you had attended as well, but he had always been too busy hooking up with someone else to pay attention to these games and its players. Had you ever played before? Were you the type to play this kind of game at all? Would you have played had you shown up tonight? Would he have been down to play if you had been currently sitting down on that circle as the bottle started to spin around?
He shook his head in a poor attempt to push all those annoying thoughts away, finishing the rest of his drink in one go and then fixing his eyes on Yerim.
"You want me to bring you another drink?" he offered, motioning to her almost empty cup.
God knows he needed another one.
She nodded, a smile curving up the corners of her mouth. "Another beer would be nice".
"Got it," he smiled, gently taking the cup from her hands and standing up. "Be right back".
His smile would only last the ten seconds span from the couch to the kitchen. The sight of Changbin's back and a pair of arms wrapped around his neck, was all it took for it to be erased.
Hyunjin stood there frozen, holding his breath without even noticing, as he stared at his friend making out with someone who looked a bit too much like you. And he could've sworn his heart stopped for a moment.
Clearing his throat, he excused his way past the few people who were in the kitchen as well —mostly classmates of his that were too busy drinking to mind the two people making out right next to them— and made it to the fridge. Although he tried to keep his eyes focused anywhere else in the room, he could not help but take a look at his hyung. It was no news he disliked the idea of you and Changbin together, in any way possible.
He had already heard you two going at it in his room once, and he had seen you come out of said exact room the morning after. But he had never seen you actually kiss after that one time at the club, when he didn't really seem to care. And the annoying pressure in his chest right now could only tell him how much he genuinely despised the idea of you and Bin together. Even more than he had thought.
Until they pulled away and he realised it was not you. Nor did the girl actually look like you. And he felt like he could breathe and go on with his night again.
His mind was truly somewhere else tonight.
Taking a deep breath to try and compose himself, he proceeded to open the fridge like he had meant to from the beginning, so he could take a can of beer for Yerim out of it.
"Can you get me one?" Bin asked him from behind, earning a small jump from Hyunjin.
"Uh, sure" he mumbled, shakily reaching for another beer and handing it to his hyung.
As Changbin opened it and took a sip, Hyunjin couldn't stop his eyes from travelling to the girl a couple of meters away, who was now talking to another of his classmates. He quickly recognized her as Soyeon, one of the popular acting majors he used to see at every other party, and he couldn't help but wonder how come he had for one second thought her dyed bright red hair belonged to you.
"Don't you even think about cockblocking me tonight" Changbin warned with a taunting smirk once he caught on Hyunjin's stare on her.
Hyunjin rolled his eyes, leaning back on the now closed fridge. "Don't intend to".
"Because she's not Y/N," Changbin took a sip of his beer. "Otherwise you would've already been pulling her away, wouldn't you?"
"I wouldn't…" Hyunjin's voice came out way too uncertain for his own liking. "I thought you… she…"
Changbin followed his friend's gaze once more, a knowing smile parting his lips when his eyes fixed on Soyeon and he got what Hyunjin was trying to say.
"Y/N didn't come," he repeated what everyone had already let him know. "So don't worry, I'm not making out with her tonight".
Hyunjin scoffed. He did so not care about that. Although the last addition of the word 'tonight' did not sit quite well with him.
"I know".
"Go back to your hookup then," Bin motioned towards the beer Hyunjin was holding, guessing it was for someone else. "There's nothing for you to worry about here".
"I'm staying here for a bit longer" Hyunjin stated, placing the beer can on the kitchen counter and pulling his phone out of his pocket. "You can go back to sucking faces, though".
Changbin smiled, saying nothing more as he made his way back to the awaiting girl. Hyunjin gawked loudly when Bin's mouth crashed against hers — feeling accomplished the moment he got flipped off by his hyung.
Taking his phone out, he bit his lip as he considered whether he should do what he was about to or not. His thumbs acted before his mind, however, opening your chat and wasting no time on typing the words before he could give it another thought.
You had been on his mind all night, it was driving him crazy. Hearing his friends tell him you weren't coming was not enough anymore, he needed to hear it from you. Well, read it from you. That way he would stop thinking about you being there when you were not, and he would be able to focus on his night with Yerim.
What he didn't expect was for his plans to change as soon as you confirmed what he wanted to know and told him you were not coming, for his priorities to change the second you told him you were at the art studio alone and would be walking home on your own in the middle of the night, and to feel the need to go to you when, on top of all that, you said your head hurt.
He didn't even realise when he had told you he was coming to you, but he didn't regret saying it either.
Grabbing the beer can once more and leaving the empty cup of soju on the counter —as he would not be drinking anymore—, he made his way to let his friends know he was leaving earlier and then to the girl who was still waiting for him on the sofa. She smiled as soon as she saw him walking towards her, and just for a moment, Hyunjin wondered whether he should fuck up this new chance he had to hook up with her, for you. It only lasted a second, then he was handing the beer to Yerim and explaining to her that an emergency had come up and he needed to leave right away.
So he left, with the promise of seeing each other later.
And then there he was fifteen minutes later, paying for a bottle of water for you after having dropped by his dorm so he could get you some painkillers for your headache.
Life surely was unpredictable.
—-—-—-—-—-—-—♡
Hyunjin hissed when he tripped on the main entrance's staircase, for a moment there wondering why the hell your faculty was so goddamn dark, before it hit him what time it actually was.
He had never been to the art studio at night. He had hardly ever made it to the art studio at all — mostly to one of the art classrooms whenever Mrs. Moon asked him to model for her students. Seungmin was the only friend of his who was an art major, after all, and he had never needed his presence at the studio other than for a few coffee runs here and there. Of course you were there, too, but up until last month he would never have gone all the way there just because you needed him to. Not past midnight at least. Definitely not when he was at a party, just about to hook up with someone else. Unlike now.
Something had changed, that he could not deny. He didn't know what exactly, or maybe he refused to put his finger on it because he did not like the answer. But something had definitely changed between the two of you for him to offer to bring you painkillers all the way here and to walk you home afterwards.
A small smile he could not suppress made its way to his lips as he thought about how ridiculous the whole situation was, how ridiculous he must've looked to his friends and anyone else when he told them he was leaving the party to go see you instead. God, he didn't even want to think about all the questions they would ask the next day.
At least he wouldn't look ridiculous by tripping again, he thought as he reached the hallway to the art studio and was met with the rather bright lights of it turned on, which he guessed was your doing as the self-proclaimed ultimate nerd. It didn't last long, though, for as soon as he entered the studio, he was met with mostly darkness all over again — a dim light coming from a lamp in the corner being all he could count on to recognize your sleeping figure by one of the desks.
Another smile took over his face at the sight of you, staring at you from afar for a couple of seconds before he quietly made his way over to you. Your face remained slightly hidden in between your folded arms over the table, messy strands of hair helping to cover you up some more, yet he still managed to get a glimpse of your closed eyes and the faintly still fresh painting under your body.
Taking a seat right in front of you and placing the bottle of water he had brought for you on the table, he found himself internally debating whether he should wake you up or not. He knew he had to, there was no way you were spending the night there, but you looked so peaceful right then, body softly moving up and down with each breath you took, that he couldn't help but feel bad to disturb your sleep.
"Y/N…" Hyunjin whispered after a while, reaching over the desk to gently shake your shoulder. "Hey…"
"Mm…" you whined, weakly trying to free yourself from his hold.
"Y/N," he shook you once more, this time getting you to open your heavy eyes. "You fell asleep".
"What time is it?" you mumbled, voice hoarse as you were just starting to take in your surroundings.
"A little past one" he let you know.
You nodded, muffling a yawn against your forearm before you sat up straight, tiredly rubbing your eyes and then fixing your hair at the realisation of Hyunjin being the one you were in front of — remaining absolutely clueless about the blue oil paint stain adorning your cheekbone.
He, on the other hand, didn't fail to notice as soon as your face was no longer hidden. A small, breathy laugh escaped his lips at the sight of it. Cute.
"Are you feeling better?" he wondered.
You shrugged. "Don't know…" your eyes wandered around the poorly illuminated room before they focused on him. "I think so?"
"You think so?" he chuckled. "You still need the pills?"
"Mhm…" you nodded. "I didn't make you come all the way here over nothing".
"You didn't make me," he corrected you, reaching into his jean's pocket for the painkillers tablet he had brought. "I offered".
"More like didn't give me a choice" you taunted with a small smile.
Hyunjin laughed, shaking his head in defeat. "You seem to be a lot better, you sure this wasn't a trap?"
You rolled your eyes, snatching the tablet from his hand and taking a single pill from it. "I guess the nap helped a bit".
"Mhm…" Hyunjin agreed, taking the lid off the bottle and then handing it over to you. "Good thing I came, otherwise you would've spent the night here for what I could see".
"My saviour" you cynically over-dramatized as you put the pill in your mouth, taking the bottle he was offering you and sipping down a good amount of water.
"You are very welcome" he smiled, cynically as well.
Only then a genuine smile took over your face, closing your eyes for a moment and leaning back on the chair as you waited for the pill to make effect.
It was oddly comforting how you could so easily go back to joke around with each other after what happened the last time you had seen each other, how comfortable you were in one another's presence even after you hadn't talked at all ever since, and after you had avoided him because you were sure you would burst into tears the moment his eyes locked with your still very embarrassed ones.
None of that seemed to matter right then. You didn't know why, maybe it was the fact that you weren't fully awake yet and didn't have it in you to be embarrassed, but you were thankful you didn't really have to address the past events in order for the two of you to be able to hang out again.
"Thank you," you spoke up after a while. "You really didn't have to come".
"It's okay," he reassured you, carefully watching you close the bottle and place it back down on the table. "I couldn't let you walk to your dorm alone at night whilst having a headache".
"You could've, actually".
"I didn't want to".
"Such a gentleman" you smiled, and he couldn't tell whether you were being honest or you were once again teasing him, like it was oh-so-usual by now.
Therefore, he ended up rolling his eyes and ignoring your comment altogether — eyes travelling down to the painting you had been working on instead. "So what have you been painting all night?"
"Nothing," you replied in a heartbeat, pulling your artwork towards you and under the table embarrassingly fast.
"That didn't look like nothing…" he pointed out, watching as you opened your backpack lying on the floor next to you and shoved the small painting inside. "Yah, why can't I see? I already saw some of it before you snatched it away".
"You don't just go around looking at a lady's painting, Hwang Hyunjin" you brought an offended hand up to your chest.
His mouth opened up in defeat, biting down on his lip to hide the smile that had just made its way to his lips at your words. "I won't show you any of my paintings ever then".
"You've never shown them to me anyway" you playfully stuck your tongue out to him. "You can just take a look around if you're that desperate to see my paintings, though".
"I wanted to see that one, though" he pouted.
Regardless of his bummed up statement, which you were not falling for, Hyunjin proceeded to take a look around your usual working place.
He had seen most of it when Seungmin had asked him to bring the two of you some coffee over a couple of weeks ago, before the —not— double date you had gone on with him and Chaeryeong. Funny how this wasn't actually the first time he had dropped everything else to bring you something.
Everything was pretty much still the same, colourful canvases everywhere in the room making a mess of it, yet somehow filling its white walls with life. Yours in particular remained all piled up by the floor, next to your self-assigned desk. The only difference from the last time he visited was a rather big flower painting on what used to be a blank canvas on an easel. Although he knew you had gotten an A+ on your last assignment, he had never seen the final result, and it only took him one look at it to know why you got the grade you did.
He recognized the flowers on the canvas right away, although the entire scenery portrayed on it gave away that you had decided to paint the ones you had seen by the Han River — more precisely, the ones you had seen with him, when the two of you had gone away from your friends to give them some privacy and ended up wandering around for hours, sitting down after a good while on the green grass a few meters away from the water.
You had pointed out how pretty they were, and he had agreed. That was all there was to the purple lilacs you had dedicated your entire work to, as the rest of the day you had spent it sitting down there, talking and having a laugh. He didn't realise you had been looking at them every other minute, and he most definitely did not think you would get your inspiration from them. Something about the situation made his heart race, however… in a very nice way.
"Watercolor" Hyunjin mumbled, catching your attention as he stood up and walked over to your side of the desk, where the easel with your painting was.
"Huh?"
"You ended up using watercolor," he explained, leaning in to take a closer look at it. "You weren't sure what technique you were going for back then".
"Ah, back at the river?" you guessed, receiving a small nod from him. "Yeah, I mean… I thought of playing it safe with oil painting, but…"
"I told you watercolor was the best way to go" he smiled triumphantly.
You rolled your eyes, standing up as well so you could get closer to him and get a better view of the painting you had already moved past from after it was graded. "Don't get so cocky now. I only went with it because it worked better with the result I was going for".
"Mhm… sure" he teased, dramatically placing a hand on his shoulder after you had lightly shoved him with yours.
"I'm never using watercolor again".
"Aw, never again?" he teasingly pouted, taking one step towards you.
"Nope," you stated. "Well, starting off once I finish the painting I promised Felix".
His eyebrows raised in surprise. "You're painting something for Felix?"
You nodded. "He saw my project when he came by the other day and asked me to make one for him. I mean, I'm sure he was like, half joking, but…"
"How come I don't get a painting from the next Picasso?"
A snort escaped your mouth, followed by an amused shake of your head. "You haven't asked".
"Can I get one?"
"I don't know," you played it hard, puckering your lips and looking at the ceiling deep in thought. "Will I ever get a painting from you?"
"I'm not an art major" he reminded you.
"Doesn't make you any less of an artist" you smiled.
Hyunjin couldn't help but mirror your smile, finding himself undoing the eye contact as he felt his cheeks suddenly burn. "If I say yes, will I get one from you?"
"I asked first".
"No, I asked first" he contradicted.
Rolling your eyes, you stood up straight and folded your arms under your chest. "Yeah, I can do that".
"Okay then," Hyunjin smiled. "I haven't ever painted for anyone, but I guess I could make an exception for you".
Lowering your head in a poor attempt not to show the beaming smile that had taken over your face, you cleared your throat, taking a step back and staring at the rather messy desk you had been working on —and sleeping on—, as you tried to control your heart from going wild.
"So we have a deal?" he leaned slightly in, looking for your eyes.
You nodded, finally looking up at him. "You're probably getting an oil painting, though. That's what I've been mostly into lately".
He chuckled, causing your heart to make another jump the second your eyes caught a glimpse of his hand getting closer. The space from his body to your face felt almost as if it happened in slow motion — until the warmth of his touch was comfortingly placed on your cheek, and his thumb rubbed ever so gently on it.
"Yeah, I can see".
"W-What?"
Hyunjin laughed breathily, running his thumb up and down your cheek once more. "Your cheek is blue".
Being hit by reality, you brought your hand up to cover it, later staring down at your art supplies and only then realising you had fallen asleep on top of the piece you had been working on that evening. "Yah, why didn't you tell me?"
Another laugh escaped Hyunjin's mouth, this time more of a giggle. "Because you look cute".
"Don't," you whined, rubbing your palm against your cheek to try and take the paint off. "I bet I look like an idiot".
"You look cute," he repeated. "I can help you even it up, though".
"Wha—"
Hyunjin's fingertips tracing against the until then clean side of your face was quick to cut your words off, having your stunned eyes travel down to the palette on your desk and then to his hand, only to be hit with realisation at the sight of his freshly yellow painted fingers.
Not like the mischievous smile parting his lips and the loud giggle that escaped them right after didn't give away what he had just done anyway.
"Hwang Hyunjin!" you recriminated him, reaching for the palette and staining your fingers with fresh paint as well.
"Wait, no" he backed away as soon as he saw you were about to take revenge. "No, I'm no—"
His mouth remained open forming a perfect 'o' once you had smashed a mixture of blue and yellow on his chin, being now his turn to watch you laugh.
That lasted a little over three seconds. After that, chaos was unleashed as he snatched the palette from next to you and started merciless chasing you around the studio.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" you pleaded in between your own laughter as you went around the desk.
"Saying sorry won't save you" he warned you, smiling when he managed to corner you against it and the wall.
"Careful with the clothes," you begged, holding your hands up in front of him for him to stay away. "Careful with th—Hyunjin!"
He threw his head back to let out a throaty laugh after having smashed some more paint on you, this time on your neck, as you had not stopped moving while he aimed for your chin.
"If you stained my sweater I swear t—"
"I didn't," he reassured you with a smirk. "This wouldn't have happened if you hadn't put paint on me".
You scoffed in utter disbelief. "Excuse me, you're the one who started".
Hyunjin chuckled. "I was only trying to even up the stain you gave yourself".
"It's only fair I even up that stain on your chin then" you nodded, reaching out to get more paint from the palette he was holding.
"It's right in the middle, there's nothing to even up" he pointed out, squinting his eyes at you after you had painted his cheek instead.
"Oops," you cynically pouted. "Seems like I will have to even that up now".
He rolled his eyes, both in amusement and resignation, and turned his cheek to you while he leant in, so you could get it over with. You smiled, letting out a giggle that had him smiling as well before he once more felt your fingertips trace against his cheek — this time slower, gentler, as you no longer feared getting caught by him.
"Happy?" he wondered, turning to you.
"Mhm…" you managed to get out, gulping down your nervousness at the sudden closeness — memories from the last time you had him this close invading your mind. "We should, um… I should get m-my things, so we can leave…"
"I haven't evened up the stain on your neck, though".
Your heart jumped, and a wave of heat reached your face. "Haven't you painted me enough?"
"Nope," he smiled, placing the palette down on the desk and taking some more blue paint from it. "It's only fair".
You rolled your eyes, clearing your throat as quietly as you could not to show how nervous you were. Nevertheless, you tilted your head to the side, resignatedly exposing your neck to him. "If you say it's only fair…"
He laughed under his breath, using one of his clean fingers to move your hair behind your shoulder and avoid getting oil paint on it. "You know it is".
You didn't know why you felt the way you did, he was literally just putting some paint on your skin like he had already done two other times by now, that was it. However, your knees went weak at the contact of his fingers against your skin — his every trace burning down each inch they touched. He had already painted your cheek and the other side of your neck, but his touch right then didn't feel quite like it had felt before.
Ten seconds felt like an eternity, as his gentle touch and his calm breathing hitting your skin had sent you over the moon.
"Are you painting something over there?" you wondered when his traces no longer felt like simple lines, earning a small laugh under his breath.
"Just a couple of lines" Hyunjin reassured.
You didn't buy it. "If you're drawing something embarrassing, I—"
"Okay," he mumbled, standing up straight with one last tap to your neck. "We're even now".
You leaned slightly back, trying your hardest to look down to your neck, although you knew there was no use. "It's done?"
Hyunjin nodded, smiling ever so softly when your eyes fixed on his. You had never seen that look on him, not towards you, and for a moment there you allowed yourself to have hope — hope about him maybe, deep down, having feelings for you, too.
And that hope was only reassured when his hand reached up to cup your cheek for the second time that night, rubbing tender circles near the corner of your mouth that took your breath away.
"I don't think there is anything else for you to even up now…" you pointed out in a whisper, voice failing you under his intense stare.
"Y/N?" he asked, eyes travelling from your lips to your anticipating eyes.
"Mm?"
"Does your head still hurt?"
You laughed quietly, breathily. "Kinda forgot about it with the whole you chasing me around thing".
Hyunjin smiled. "Good".
Just like that, he leaned in and closed the space between your mouths — plump, soft lips trapping your bottom one, as you remained too stunned to do anything other than close your eyes and get lost in the gentle touch of his you had craved for so long.
It roughly lasted five seconds, maybe six. Too short of a time for you to be able to tell whether you were dreaming or not. Yet that was all it took for you to wonder how you could have survived all this time without getting a taste of his lips. All it took for you to want more, for you to know you needed more.
One look at Hyunjin and the way his eyes once again travelled back down from your eyes to your mouth, was all it took for you to know he was feeling the same.
And just like that, his mouth was back on yours, and you confirmed this was indeed not a dream, nor your recent headache driving you mad.
You kissed him back this time, melting under the touch and taste of his lips, and the warmth of his hand as it travelled down from your cheek to your neck. Your hand rested comfortably on his chest while your other arm wrapped around his neck, tugging at his t-shirt when you stumbled against the desk he was cornering you against.
That seemed to give him the perfect opportunity to lift you up and sit you down by the edge of it, barely giving you time to adjust when his hands were tightly grabbing your waist and his mouth was back on yours.
Bringing your other arm up around his neck as well, you tightened your hold around it, letting out a contented hum before opening your mouth and allowing his tongue to gently massage yours.
A part of you still felt like you were dreaming with each touch of his. The way his hands moved slightly down to your hips and tightened their hold on them to pull you closer to him, the way his thumbs caressed the spot they were resting on, the way his hot mouth felt on yours, and how his heavy breathing would hit your face… it all felt too perfect, too dreamy to be true.
It only hit you that you were in the middle of the art studio when Hyunjin's hand pressed to your lower back and his body leaned over yours, placing your hand on the desk to keep your balance and managing to press it down on the long forgotten palette instead.
"Wait, wait" you mumbled against his lips, pushing him slightly away by his chest. "Someone could walk in".
"Don't care" he whispered, trapping your lip in between his once more — only for you to pull away and stare at him with incredulous eyes.
"Are you drunk?" you questioned.
"No," his eyebrows furrowed. "I only had one drink the whole night, do I seem drunk to you?"
You denied with your head.
He smiled, stealing another kiss from you. "Do I taste drunk to you?"
Your cheeks burned at his question. You denied again. "Last time, though…"
Hyunjin sighed, defeatedly resting his forehead on yours at the memory of the way he had pushed you away when Yerim walked into the dance studio. "I wouldn't have pulled away if you had been kissing me like this".
You playfully shoved him away, hearing a loud giggle escape his mouth as your face burned up harder. "You're the one kissing me".
"Maybe…" he murmured, already back at looking for your lips. "But you're not stopping me".
Rolling your eyes in feigned annoyance, you pulled him into another kiss, feeling like your heart would burst out of your chest when you felt his breathy laugh against your mouth, taking a moment to cup your cheek and deepen the kiss.
You swore you could kiss him all night. Especially since, even if it hurt to admit, you didn't know if you would ever get to kiss him again and feel as good as you were feeling right then.
This could only be a one time thing as far as you knew. You wished it wasn't. You truly wished it wasn't. But you were making the most out of it regardless.
No matter how long you could kiss him for, however, you knew reality would hit at some point. It was his phone buzzing in his pocket, the one to bring you back to it.
You had both ignored it at first, being too busy getting a taste of each other to care about anything else, but Hyunjin ended up breaking the kiss apart when it wouldn't stop — not without having first let out a frustrated sigh and mumbled a small 'sorry' against your swollen lips.
"You're not answering it?" you couldn't help but wonder after he had taken one small look at the screen and shoved it right back in his pocket.
He shook his head no, resting his hands on your thighs and smiling before pecking your mouth. "I can get back to them later".
You bit your bottom lip, smiling against his mouth when he leaned in to steal another kiss you didn't wait to return. "We should probably leave…"
"Mm…" he whined against your mouth. "Just a little more…"
A light laugh escaped your lips, pulling him in by placing your hand on the back of his neck and planting two chaste kisses to his needy mouth. "It's like, two in the morning by now…"
He sighed, reluctantly letting go of you and resting his forehead on your shoulder for a second before he stood up straight. "It's not that late but okay, let's go".
"I thought you wanted to go back to the party after dropping me off?" you pointed out, getting off the desk and going to pick up your bag.
"Nah, I'm not going back there" he shrugged,  rolling his eyes with a smile when you questioningly squinted your eyes at him. "I'm not!"
"If you say so…" you shrugged as well, throwing your bag over your shoulder and turning the lamp by your working spot off.
Maybe not the brightest of decisions, considering the room went nearly pitch black, if it weren't for the hallway's lights giving you some sense of visibility. That didn't stop you from stumbling against one of the chairs as you reached Hyunjin's side.
"Easy," he teased, grabbing your wrist even though you were far from falling down. You didn't protest. "Do I have to carry you out of here?"
"Shut up" you half whined, half laughed, sticking next to him as the two of you made your way out of the studio.
You couldn't help but smile as soon as the light of the hallway hit his face, only then realising how pink his lips were as a result of your previous doings. Somehow, that simple sight had managed to make the entire situation feel more real.
And if it weren't because you had gathered every single bit of self-control in your body, you would've pulled him into another kiss right then and there.
"What?" he dumbfoundedly asked at the sight of your shy smile.
You shook your head in response, trying your best to brush it off as you reached for his cheek and traced one of the oil paint stains your fingers had left. "You look ridiculous".
Hyunjin's mouth opened in full offense. "Here I was calling you cute, and now you go and insult me".
"Well, you do look ridiculous" you laughed, earning a small shove from his shoulder on yours. "Let's hope it washes off easily".
He shrugged. "It was worth it anyway".
Your heart jumped at the sound of his words, standing still in the middle of the hallway as Hyunjin resumed walking towards the exit. It didn't take long for him to realise you were not following — turning around and tilting his head when he saw you just standing there, staring at him in complete awe.
"You coming?"
You nodded your head, still a bit stunned as you were brought back to your senses. Taking a deep breath to try and collect yourself, you rushed next to him once again, so you could for once and for all begin your ten minutes journey to your dorm.
Although you didn't want this moment to ever end, and you loved the thought of walking home alone with him, a part of you hoped to get there soon. You didn't know how much longer you would last before the realisation of tonight's events hit and your knees finally gave out.

pairing: javier escuella x reader
follow the trail
You’d noticed him across the store about twenty minutes ago. He stood with a larger, more loudly spoken man who looked as though he was trying to start a fight with the store keeper. The Spanish man just stood there, leaning against the counter, looking like he didn’t want to be there. You found it sort of amusing, how fed up he looked.
Shielding yourself from view behind the shelves, you planned your idea, mapping it out in your head. The loud spoken man eventually stormed out of the building, leaving just you, the Latino and the shopkeeper.
You could do it now. Sneak behind him as though you were waiting in line, steal from his back pocket where you could quite clearly see a bill fold just waiting to be lifted from him. It’d be easy. Like the thousand other times you’d done it.
Javier eyed you from his peripheral. You’d pretended to eye coffee tins for a while now. Nobody looked at coffee that long. Your eyes had flitted between himself and Bill. Something in your eyes brightened once Bill had left the store, not even casting a glance at you.
So he was your target. Not Bill. Not the shopkeeper. Just as he’d suspected, you’d had a firm gaze on his back pocket since even before you’d entered the store. The bill fold he’d conveniently left in view drew your attention right to him. He’d felt your presence quite close behind him and Bill on the walk through Valentine. Not too close to draw attention, but not so far that you’d lose him in a crowd. You were good. But not as good as him.
He paid for his things and left. You grabbed a few tins of coffee and some assorted biscuits off the shelf and side stepped into view, head down. Your shoulder bumped his and you turned to apologise, your free hand reaching around his rear, delicate fingers lifting the folded papers out of his pocket.
“Apologies, mister,” you smiled sweetly, looking up at him. He was handsome, you noticed. A freckle dotted face and dark moustache covering his lips.  You hadn’t noticed that from afar.
“It’s alright, hermosa,” he smiled back, tipping his hat to you. “Should have watched where I was going.” With that, he left, leaving you richer and him none the wiser. You smirked to yourself, paying for your groceries and making your way to the door. You didn’t see the silhouettes in the window, two men waiting outside the store. Exiting the shop, you paid them no mind, but they had their eyes on you.
“Got what you needed, Javier?” Bill asked him as he exited the shop, a smirk playing at Javier’s lips.
“No help from you, hermano,” Javier rolled his eyes, leaning against the wall of the general store. He lit a cigarette, waiting for the familiar bell ring of the door to sound. “You’re lucky he even served me after the shit you called him.”
“He said I was drunk! Thought I was a danger to him ‘in the state I was in. Goddamn idiot.”
“And are you?”
“Am I what?”
“Drunk?”
Javier laughed as Bill stumbled, unable to formulate a defence for himself. Of course, whatever defence he did come up with would have been a lie. He’d been drinking whiskey since the sun rose. Of course he was drunk.
“What you even doing, Escuella? We should be getting back to camp,” Bill pointed out, finally realising that Javier hadn’t even moved to make his way to his horse yet.
“Just gimme a sec, Williamson. There’s someone I’m waiting for,” he mused vaguely, turning his head towards the door as the lady who’d stolen from him exited the store.
You felt an arm grab you, and your head whipped towards the same man you’d robbed. Shit. “Hey, look I apologised for bumping into you, you don’t need to take this further,” you pulled from his grip easily. He wasn’t trying to restrain you, he just wanted your attention.
“Javier, you waited all this time for a girl? Come on, man, we’ve got shit to do,” the other  man groaned, turning to stumble towards his horse, quite ungracefully, you might add.
“Not here about you bumping into me, chica,” Javier spoke, his tone steady, friendly. He leaned against the store post, smiling. You stood on the top step, a head shorter than him. “I’m here for the money you stole from me.” His accent tingled at something inside you. You hadn’t heard his accent much around Valentine. It wasn’t common. But you liked it.
“Well, that was a little abrupt, wasn’t it?” You asked, cocking your head, your heart thumping in your chest. It wasn’t often you got caught. You had to figure your way out of this one. Perhaps if you played with a meaner, more defensive streak, he might back off. “You’d do well not to go about accusing people like that.”
His eyebrows rose and his intimidating demeanour backed off.
He’d got you. He saw it in your eyes. You were trying to think of a lie that could get you out of this. To anyone else, your smile and sweet expression would have gotten you a slap on the wrist before getting sent off about your day. It could have worked for him. But Javier was looking to recruit. You seemed a perfect candidate.
“I want my money back, and I’ll get it one way or another,” he said. It came across more threatening that he’d have liked. Especially when he saw your eyes squint and your entire body tense. “But…but…perhaps if you gave it back, I could spend it on something nice, like taking you out for a drink? Hmm?”
You’d have thought he’d never talked to a woman before. First he accused you, then he asked you out for a drink? The man was all over the place. “So…you accuse me of stealing from you? And now…you want me to go for a drink with you? I think you’ve smoked too many cigarettes, mister,” you laughed, moving to walk away, but he stepped in front of you before you could leave.
“The bill folds. They were in my back pocket. I can’t lie, it was a pretty good lift. Better than I’ve seen in a while,” he smirked, looking down at you with a genuinely happy smile. “But not good enough, sweetheart.”
Your eyes widened. There wasn’t a way out now. He’d caught you red handed. Fuck.
“I don’t-”
“Look,”he leaned forward, his scent in your nose now, smoke wafting in your face as he spoke. His face inched closer to yours, and if you didn’t feel as though you were about to be outed, you’d probably have blushed. “We could use someone like you. You’re good at what you do, that much is evident. Seems like you wanna make money, I can help with that.”
That wasn’t exactly what you were expecting. “I ain’t looking for a job, mister,” you whispered, leaning in closer. “Not if it ain’t legal.”
He chuckled softly, his shoulders shaking as he tilted his head back. He had a pretty laugh. “Honey, I don’t think you’ve ever done a legal thing since you could walk. You rob people as easy as you breathe.”
“Not happening.”
Javier quirked his brow. “Let me rephrase this, hermosa. You can come with me, and my good friend Bill over there,” he pointed at Bill, who swayed against his horse, humming to himself across the street. “Or…I go tell that lovely sheriff over there that you stole from me. I’d love to see how you fare in jail. With a pretty face like that, you might get out in a couple weeks.”
“Are blackmailing me with a prison sentence to come join your rag tag crew of outcasts?!” Your eyes practically bulged out of your head and you couldn’t suppress the laugh that escaped you, it wasn’t friendly, exactly. More just out of sheer surprise.
“Uhm…well…okay, so,” Javier rubbed the back of his neck with his hand. Not exactly a smooth talker, he was beginning to learn. “It’s your only option, love.”
Honestly, it wasn’t a bad option. At least you wouldn’t be scavenging for scraps for the rest of your life. Hmm. You cocked your head to the side, looking at Javier with contemplating eyes. “Blackmail wasn’t the ideal way to go about it…” Javier chuckled nervously as you spoke, looking down at his feet. “But you’re lucky I’m desperate for somewhere more comfortable to sleep.”
Riding back to their camp, you looked over to Javier, whose eye caught yours. He smiled softly. “You know I wouldn’t have turned you into the sheriff, right?”
You huffed a chuckle, shaking your head. “I know that it would have been a stupid move from you, Javier,” you smirked.
“You still got my money?”
Raising your eyebrows, you turned to face the road. “Thought you were going to take me out for a drink with that money?” You heard him laugh to your right. “I’ll keep a hold of that money until you go through with that promise.”
He liked your spark. “Anything for you, hermosa.”

'Tis the season…..for wintery 4*Town content. I’ve been busy with Uni so don’t mind how sketchy these all look but I’ve been itching to draw these boys again :)))
Its a bit all over the place so I’ll walk you through it
Tumblr media
So at the top we have Jesse smoking because that’s a hc of mine for some reason 🤷‍♀️ It’s a bad habit of his, he’s not proud of it and he tries to keep it hidden from the others
He’s unfortunately caught by Tae one time and have a bit of a talk about stress, expectations and Jesse does feel better afterwards
Tumblr media
Then on the right we have the gang huddled outside, waiting for their tour bus in the cold. And I’m not from Canada but I know winters are brutal over there so I drew them all in matching puffer coats to keep warm because of course I would :)
And Tae is wearing a fluffy pink faux fur hat because that just makes sense ☝️
Tumblr media
Furthermore he’s taking care of his doves and cuddling them in their pen he had built, even when it’s freezing cold. Poor guy fell asleep and had the others worried sick looking for him.
He caught a cold the day after but is luckily coddled by his bandmates (as he should be)
And another hc of mine is that Jesse is an insomniac so he gets tired during the day and leans on the others to rest for a little bit
Tumblr media
Last but not least we have Tae and Aaron T. building a red panda snowman in honor of the unforgettable night they all had performing in Toronto 🐾
.
.
.
The full pics btw👇
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thats all for now folks, I could make up cute scenarios that are vaguely winter themed for hours but I’ll leave it at that for now byeee 👋

SOLARIS January 22nd, 2024 Charleston, SC
Theo entertained my questions as he drove me home in a cool sleek black car.
Beside him, in the passenger seat, I droned on and on about nothing in particular – but after not being able to talk to anyone but myself or Father for so long, I doubt I'd ever get tired of chatting.
"Y'know, Mister Theo–"
Theo raised a brow and flicked his eyes to mine, "I thought we talked about this whole 'Mister' thing." I was thankfully able to understand him better now that I had spent time with him.
I sheepishly giggled, "Ah, sorry! I...I'm just trying to be on my best behavior so Chairman Jeon doesn't find any faults in me and make me disappear." I chirped back, tugging at the split ends of my hair.
Theo's foot pressed gently on the break and turned his attention to me after stopping at a stop light. His lips twitched and beheld me in the highest amusement. I blinked back owlishly.
Suddenly, Theo threw back his head and laughed, silky-looking curls smushing against the headrest.
"Ah, dannare!" he chortled, clapping his palms together in mirth, I hesitantly eyed him before nervously joining in on his laughter so I wouldn't feel left out.
Theo calmed his laughter, but amusement still flickered within his hazel eyes. "He will not hurt you, tesoro. There is much more to him than others think." he divulged to me, continuing driving.
I excitedly nodded, "Seems so, Mister Theo! He looks really scary but he has really pretty eyes and pretty jewelry. He even doctored my knees for me," I turned my knees towards him so he could see the pink band-aids on my knees. "Could that mean we're friends now and he won't have me killed?'
Theo's lips twitched, eyes still on the road, "He would love to hear that, little tesoro. I promise you, Gguk has no plans of harming a hair on your head – and I'm sure he would be honored to be your friend."
A delighted squeak left my lips, "How wonderful! I like having friends! We're friends too, right Mister Theo?"
I pointed to the road I lived on and waited for Theo's answer as he started to drive down my street.
"Of course, little tesoro."
I grinned happily and felt my heart beat quickly in happiness. This night turned out much different than I had expected, but I wasn't complaining. I had made not one, but two friends. My first friends ever.
It was an amazing feeling.
"Oh! There's my house!" I chimed in, pointing to a small, run-down-looking three-bedroom house.
The teal paint had begun chipping away, and the yellow door had some stains, but it was where I had grown up. Mama liked the teal paint on the house and the yellow door – she had painted it herself, and I was sad to see it washing away as the years passed.
Theo's brows drew together when he looked at my house.
Lips thinning, he watched me unbuckle my seatbelt and prepare to exit the car, bag in hand.
"There is one thing I need to discuss with you, tesoro," he said, stopping me from leaving the car.
My head cutely cocked to the side, "Yes, Mister Theo?"
Theo cocked his head to the side and watched me carefully. My shoe gently tapped against the floorboard, slightly impatient, not in a bad way – but it was only a matter of time before Father would come home...and if he saw me getting out of Mister Theo's car...
I shivered at the beating I would get for that.
"Yeah, Mis–I mean Theo?" I corrected myself, flushing at my near miss. Again.
Theo snickered lightly and gave me a quick pat on the head. I leaned happily into the gentle touch, not used to other people treating me so nicely. I reveled in it and hoped it would happen again.
Theo smiled softly and turned his upper body around to face me. "I would like for you to come back to Ataraxia tomorrow if you could."
My brows furrowed when he watched me closely.
"Why?" my bottom lip pooched out as I thought.
Theo chuckled and gently touched my tender head. "My wife used to be a nurse...and we – the Chairman and I – would like for her to check over you to make sure you're not injured further."
My heart fluttered happily.
They cared! Since they cared...that means they really are my friends, right? Friends care about one another! Oh, how exciting this was! Life was turning around! Thank you, dear lord! I silently prayed but a thought came to mind and had me balking.
Would Mister Theo's wife ask where my bruises come from? And what would I tell them? I don't like to lie. I've never been good at it.
My teeth came down to nibble on my bottom lip.
Friends don't lie to each other. But I couldn't tell them the truth about Father. If he found out...he would be really...really mad and I could never see my new friends again.
But maybe I could hide my arms! Right? That would work! And I could see Chairman Jeon again!
I would love to see him again! Since he wasn't so scary now that I had spoken with him. And Theo said he was my friend now. And friends wouldn't kill one another.
Theo's eyes slightly widened at my worried, downtrodden frame.
"It is alright, little tesoro. Arilie will only check your head, plus I would like to learn more about my new friend," he assured me, hazel eyes staring deeply into my sapphire-colored ones, smiling when I perked up.
"...okay." I nodded, a little grin coming on my face. "It may be late when I come...if that's okay. I have chores to do." I told him, fisting my crocheted bag in my hand to resist the urge to squeal happily.
I would see the man with the pretty, sparkling eyes soon!
Oh, Mama! Isn't this wonderful!?
Theo clapped his hands happily and sent me a wide smile – bright white teeth gleaming and contrasting beautifully against his skin tone.
"Great! I will see you tomorrow, little Tesoro! Sleep well."
I opened the door and hopped out, giggling happily.
"I will, Theo! Thank you!" I held onto my bag with both hands and peeked into his eyes. "I hope you sleep well to! Drive safe." I waved goodbye with both hands before turning to scamper inside the house.
I closed the door behind me and fell against it.
"Wow," I murmured to myself, wondering how so much had happened in the span of mere hours.
I made two friends, went outside for the first time in years, met Chairman Jeon and looked into his pretty eyes, and got to ride in a cool car.
This was a dream come true!
A tear of joy dripped down my cheek, the overwhelming feeling of euphoria washing through my body as I slid down to the floor, sniffing.
I was so excited for tomorrow!
I just had to think of a way to sneak out without Father noticing my absence.
author's note ; ✨

E and Y for Chifuyu please!
Anon I want to kiss you directly on the open mouth for this one, I LOVE Chifuyu so let's get it. ▼ω▼
(Also yes, I am the worlds slowest human that takes 5000 years to respond so sorry about that I am still here and still answering I am just a little turtle typer ^^;)
WARNINGS: Yandere, mentions of stalking and hints at future kidnapping, Chifuyu being just a liiitle too invested in you, mentions of suicide if you squint.
Tumblr media
Exposed: How much of their heart do they bare to their darling? How vulnerable are they when it comes to their darling?
From the get go, they bare their entire heart to you. It’s one of the things that drew you to Chifuyu in the beginning, how open and honest he was with you. You were a little scared of him at first, his status as First Division Vice-Captain in one of the biggest delinquent gangs in Tokyo was off-putting, to say the least. Despite that, Chifuyu was never anything but kind to you. With all the things he would so willingly and eagerly do for you, some people even joked that he was maybe too kind. Chifuyu would go out of his way to take you to and from work/school (he always seemed to know your exact schedule, despite the fact that you don’t remember ever sharing it with him), and he was always conveniently nearby whenever something went awry, ready to step in and save the day. Chifuyu was also inclined to bring you daily little gifts and treats just to see you smile, regardless of the fact that you never asked nor expected anything of the sort from him. It was all a bit much, but it was so endearing when he would offer these things to you that you always found yourself unable to deny him.
He wasted no time in getting to know you, and was quick to share the secrets of himself most people would try and keep hidden away. Not long after meeting him, every tragic, harrowing, fucked up occurrence that had ever happened in Chifuyu’s life had been relayed to you in excruciating detail, his guts spilled through late night conversations and wordy text messages. Hearing all he has suffered through at such a young age is heartbreaking, and it kills you inside when you see the tears wavering in his eyes as he weaves his harrowing tales. It makes you want to embrace him, hold him close and protect him from any harm which may befall him, shield him from any pain the future may hold. He melts into your touch, clinging to you shakily when you wrap him in your arms, desperate for your warmth and affection. His vulnerability only makes you feel that much closer to him, privileged that he trusts you enough to share his weakness with you.
But after some time the initial attachment you felt with him begins to waver. His stories go from heartrending to downright threatening, the focus of them shifting from all the sorrow he has endured to all the harm he has physically inflicted on others (and still can, should the need arise). These dark conversations most often happen after you hang out in a group setting or when you give someone besides him a little too much attention. When it’s the two of you alone he’s always been a very calming presence, but the moment there are others among you he instantly becomes on edge-even if it’s his closest friend surrounding you. It unnerves you, the stark contrast in how he presents himself when it’s the two of you alone enjoying each other’s company, versus when others are around.
Yearn: How long do they pine after their darling before they snap?
Chifuyu is a slow burn kind of guy, so he has the capacity to wait for a very long time before he makes any kind of move. He wants to observe you first, take his time getting to know you and how you operate before he makes his move to claim you.
Though he was quick to become enraptured with you, he doesn’t want to rush anything. He prefers taking his time learning everything he can about you, savoring the time it takes to pick up on all your eccentricities and quirks. Each new caveat he discovers about your personality is like a goldmine, and he takes careful note of each and every thing he learns about you, committing them to memory. Should you find yourself staying the night at his home, he’s already picked up on your favorite body washes/shampoos/perfumes through your scent alone, and has stocked up accordingly. Whatever food or drink you prefer he memorizes so he can surprise you with them later. Your favorite color, animal, book, artist-he knows them all and then some.
Chifuyu is more invested in you than he is with anyone, himself included, and he takes pride in being the one person who knows you better than anyone else does or ever could. He may even know more about you than you do yourself, it certainly feels that way sometimes.
He bides his time as he considers the ideal way to confess his deep, all-encompassing love for you. He wants it all to be perfect. The place, how he presents himself, the timing, it all has to be something that will take your breath away, make you feel for him just as strongly as he feels for you. However achieving perfection takes A LOT of planning and he unfortunately has other obligations he can’t ignore that take his time away from you. As much as it upsets him, he doesn’t have the means to just pluck you off the street and make everything work out for the two of you, so he has to do a lot of juggling of his responsibilities that ends up impeding his progress.
Unlike other yanderes, he actually wants you to stay as ‘you’ as possible for as long as possible, not wanting to upset your way of life more than is necessary. He wants you to be happy and thriving without compromising your normalcy, but even more than that he wants himself and your relationship with him to be your primary focus, the one thing that makes you happier than anything else in the world. He will do everything he can to please you, his ultimate goal being to bring you to the same lovesick state he has been resorted to in your presence. He couldn’t bear the thought of you feeling any other way, nor could he live with someone besides himself making your heart race.
That being said, if someone were to insert themselves between the two of you and monopolize your time, attention, or (god forbid) love, he would need to rethink his whole course of action. Whatever trash has you fooled enough to feel such a way doesn’t deserve to be in your presence, nor do they have the right to have even an ounce of your affection. Chifuyu can’t understand why you are even bothering with them, can’t you see how they’re stringing you along, using you for their own selfish gain? Each time they touch you he wants to scream, every time you laugh at his stupid jokes it makes him want to hurl himself into the sun.
He doesn’t understand why you are doing this to him… Wasn’t his companionship enough? Are you trying to upset him? Chifuyu would never hurt you, never betray you, but if you keep spending time with some other jerk… He won’t be able to live with it. If you don’t love him, if you prefer someone else… he can’t really see much purpose in hanging around. Maybe he should just get it over with and remove himself permanently from the picture, that way you can be with whomever you want and he’ll stop being such a burden to you. That is the power you have over him, to decide his fate on a whim, no matter how misguided that whim may be. He prays that you open your eyes and see how wrong what you are doing is, before he is forced to do something drastic you both regret.
The choice is up to you.

Javier:
You and Javier were indisputably infatuated with each other. Seeing one of you without the other could only mean that someone was looking for the other. You kept him by your side just as much as he kept you. Right next to his gun, there was you; you were even more dependable.
Between the two of you was a fiery passion that hadn't stopped blazing since you met. His loyalty to you was the only match for his loyalty to the gang, though you never felt the need to test it. He showed you everyday how treasured you were.
In the past few days you've been working harder than usual, Grimshaw even taking notice to how busy you've been which was saying something. You scrubbed clothes until your finger pruned and felt numb, not giving Tilly anything to work on when you were done. You'd even offered to take over on chopping vegetables for Sadie, which she gladly accepted. Anytime you weren't moving was time to think about Javier and how he wasn't where he should be each night, in your shared tent next to you. Books offered no real comfort regardless of how many Mary-Beth urged you to borrow to calm your nerves. The romance in them always painfully dragged your mind back to him. The nights were colder and the days drew on like you'd never known was possible. You couldn't help but give Dutch a bit of a cold shoulder around camp knowing that he was the reason that your love stayed away so often as of late. He didn't seem to notice though, his head was often in the clouds now.
You'd endured seven tiresome days and six lonely nights when Javier finally returned along with Bill. They were both relatively clean based of their appearance, Javier more than Bill to no one's surprise, with bags attached to their horses that were being unfastened by Dutch and Hosea as they got off their horses.
"Javier!" You squealed out, tossing Mary-Beths copy of Jane Austen's Persuasion into her lap haphazardly. You bumped into a few people on your way, mumbling quick sorries as you went.
"Querida, I missed you terribly!" Javier expressed. When he heard your voice he immediately perked up and forgot how exhausted he was in an instant.
He wrapped his arms around your waist pulling you close to him as you walked into camp, leaving the horses to be tended to by Kieren after their hard work.
"I missed you even more, I've been bored to death without you." You tell him and he kisses your temple in response.
"I'm here now."
You were relieved to have him back, but that feeling only lasted for so long. By the time Javier had the time to tell you of his travels with Bill the last few days, have a good meal, and rest for the night he was already being threatened to be taken from you again.
You were woken up to the strategic shuffling of clothes against skin. You could tell that he was trying to be quiet with his movements but it still woke you up; you couldn't feel his warmth next to you anymore. You watched silently as he buttoned his top and pulled his boots on, not speaking until he was halfway out of the tent.
"Where are you going?" You asked. As he pulled back the fabric of the tent you could just barely see the slight glow of the early morning.
He stopped, his hand dropping as he turned and looked at you apologetically. He looked less like a child caught doing something they knew he shouldn't be, a look you'd grown to recognize from him, and more like a dog being recalled to its owner after misbehaving. Still guilty nonetheless. He kneeled down at the cot you still laid on, quietly waiting for a response as he ran a hand over your exposed arm.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you."
"Where were you off to?" You asked again.
"I—uhm, have something to do, I won't be gone too long. You go back to sleep." He says vaguely and leans forward to press a kiss to the corner of your mouth. As he does you turn your head away from him, causing him to look at you with these hurt eyes that you regret causing instantly.
"Why can't Dutch send someone else this time? You only just got back and now you're leaving again." You say firmly. You sit up in the cot, now fully awake and flushed with annoyance.
"I know, my love, Dutch isn't the one who you should be upset with, I'm not being sent by anyone but myself. Micha has been getting this together for some time now and asked me to join him, and I am." He notices the way your eyes narrow at the mention of Micha and says the last part as if to solidify it. To make it known that it's final.
"Haven't you done enough? I mean, it's not like you're the only one Micha could have help, there's Charles and John and even Sadie!"
"I'm doing this for all of us. I'm coming because he wanted me to come, now keep your voice down, no need to wake everyone up." He says getting up from his kneel, "I don't have time to argue, we leave soon."
"Then let me come." You say desperately. You push off the sheet covering your legs and stand in front of him.
"You know I can't let you." Is all he says as he grabs his gun belt.
He leaves you alone with your thoughts once again and it doesn't take you long to decide that this wasn't the end of it. You never trusted Micha to be alone with Javier, you knew that if it came down to it that Micha would leave Javier to die rather than risk himself like any decent man. Outside of your tent no one else can be seen yet, it can't be too much past four and after all of the drinks passed around the night before a late morning is to be expected. You march you way to Javier, still barefoot through the grass. He doesn't look up to acknowledge you, he simply continues packing his supplies into his bag with his eyes never meeting yours. It's as if you're not even standing there.
"You're so stubborn!" You finally say. You feel yourself getting worked up. Your fists clenching in desperation as you walk closer to him. "I wish you would just listen to me for once. I don't have not one good feeling about this and you just barely got back." You say to him and he finally looks at you. At this point you know for a fact that there's no backtracking what you'd started.
"And this is because you don't trust Micah? That's why you're throwing a fit like a little girl."
It was partly true. You and Micah had never gotten along, but then again neither had he and Javier in the beginning. You saw straight through his front. His intentions weren't quite clear to you yet, but you knew that they weren't pure. That was the only thing that stopped you from going to Dutch about the whole thing.
"All that Micah is good for is stroking egos and getting other people into his messes. How dare I worry for the man that I love!" He shrugs you off, scoffing.
"You don't know what you're talking about." It hurts to hear him dismiss you like that, someone who was usually eager to listen to your every thought.
"I know well enough. Please, Javier, I'm begging you to stay." You knew that your words would have some sort of effect on him, he was always weak for only you. You watched as his expression changed into something thoughtful but still just as harsh. He knew now that you really were scared for him but he felt that you had no reason to be. He'd rather scream and yell at each other than hear you beg, the sound of your voice pleading to him filled him with guilt.
"Maybe I should just drop everything hm?" He asks.
"What?" You ask, you're confusion and anger displayed so obviously on your face.
"You told me when I brought you into this—me prometiste, that you understood."
"And I do! I always have how could you doubt that after so long?" It'd been years since he allowed you to join the rest of the gang. You'd been welcome for much longer but he was protective and wanted to keep you far from that aspect of his life. It was apart of him that you made the choice to love and accept like the rest of him.
"Everything that I do is for us—to keep you safe. We need the money."
"You can't keep me safe if you're dead." You deadpanned. It had always been a fear of yours but especially after Micah joined.
"It's unfortunate that everyone can't make their keep by sewing clothes and flirting all day."
Your eyes widened in disbelief as you stepped forward, "You know that's not true just as well as I do."
"Oh do I, amor?" He says in a mocking tone, sweet as pure cane, "I see how you walk around camp, how you talk to the men." He says to you in a low voice now that you've gotten so close. His body is still tense as he mutters into your ear. You know he's trying to push your buttons and is succeeding.
"You're being ridiculous."
"Maybe I am, maybe it's more than flirting? You don't seem to trust my judgment anymore who's to say your loyalty hasn't grown weak too?"
"You're pathetic," You say to him.You don't mean it, you both know that but in the moment of passion your words have no other purpose but to be filled with venom.
"Yeah?" He says nodding, egging you on.
"You're too stubborn to just admit that I'm right, you'd rather make a fool of yourself. Micah doesn't mean you well, he's leading you somewhere that I won't follow you to."
"So then you'll leave me? For trying to help us, you'll leave me."
You'd never seen him mad like this, his eyes were dark with adrenaline and you could tell he was only becoming agitated with your silence. It was a fearsome sight, Javier was already an intimidating man to everyone else, but for the first time you we're feeling nervous under his presence.
"niña estúpida, morirías sin mi." His words are venomous when they strike your skin, you feel yourself shrinking. You flinch at the harshness of his voice and words. He's never spoken to you like that before, so overcome with emotion, you stand still in disbelief.
At seeing the genuine fear in your eyes as you looked at him,you out of all people, his rage disintegrated in front of you. Tears were stinging your eyes, just daring to fall but you wouldn't let them. You couldn't have him see how weak you really were for him behind your front. Looking away seemed like the safest option as you couldn't quite read him with how you're vision blurred over, you just silently hoped that he wasn't even more upset at seeing you like this.
Javier took a step towards you, slow and purposeful with his movements and you didn't move away. When he saw that you weren't planning on running from him he inched his way closer to you, like a hunter approaching a scared doe. His hands met your shoulders first, hesitant yet eager, then all of the sudden bringing you towards him in one swift movement.
You were unsettled still, your heart beating out of your chest and making you feel dizzy. His hands around your body felt foreign with you so far away from your mind.
"I'm so sorry, amor. . . I was wrong. I never meant to scare you." Javier said, his voice breaking.
His declared beloved, the one he imagined whatever he had left of forever with. What kept his thoughts grounded and sent him into dreamlike states all at once. Seeing your tears finally fall, or actually feeling them warm against his neck, and knowing that he had been the cause of him cut him much deeper than any blade he'd encountered.
"Please forgive me, this was all my fault. I should never have spoken to you like that." He says, "Amor. . ."
“It's alright.” You tell him, “You didn't mean it.”
He shook his head, not knowing what to say.
Things are quiet after the fight.
You both returned to your tent afterwards guided by Javier's tight latch on your hand. Micah asked about what was going on with Javier having packed his things back away without a word. He'd simply responded by saying you weren't feeling well, expecting that to be more than enough of a reason. Javier was never one for letting people down or evading responsibility but he wasn't up for creating excuses.
"She was just fine a few hours ago, I'm sure she'll live without you for a couple more." Micah remarked condescendingly.
That was all it took for Javier's patience to reach it's limit. "She's ill, we're done with this conversation." The response he got back was a scoff.
You were a little surprised at hearing the exchange as apart of you was still expecting Javier to go. When he finally came back your delight was evident on your face, he came to your bedside again just like he'd done before and kissed your lips tenderly. You allowed him for your comfort and his.
"I'm sorry that we argued. I hate arguing with you." You said just above a whisper.
"Don't apologize, you did nothing wrong. It's me who was out of line" He said tilting his head to the side.
"Well it doesn't matter now. . .I'm just happy you're here." You said bringing his face towards yours again.
Kieran:
Kieran's natural state seemed to be underneath some form of authority. He was treated terribly when he found lodging by working for the O'Driscolls, which you could tell had left him quite insecure of himself. Still, there was a reminiscence of subservience to the men that he saw as superior. Ultimately he was happier to be at the camp with all of you. Being here was protection and stability.
You pitted him in the beginning, sneaking him food at night while the rest of the gang weren't looking. Seeing him tied up like that broke your heart as you knew he wasn't this degenerate rival that mostly everyone accepted him as.
After proving himself to be at the very least somewhat trustworthy and earning his freedom around camp, having Kieran around became a pleasure. It was obvious to everyone that he fancied you, he was never too good at lying. Nowadays the other men teased him about it more than they brought up that he used to be an O'Driscoll.
He'd sit next to you whenever he found you alone and not busy, keeping his distance like he was afraid to scare you away. It didn't take you too long to develop feelings for him in return. He was sweet and well mannered; he always spoke to you like he was in awe of having you in front of him. Even when you started dating that admiration never changed from both ends.
There was a special bond between you two that no one else seemed to understand. Arthur had stated it to your face numerous times that he didn't get what someone like you could see in that O'Driscoll, to which you told him that it was simply not for him to understand.
The camp was a safe haven compared to being left alone with his old gang after his head, and for this he was grateful. Still, it didn't change the fact that he would always be looked at as other for his past. For the last few weeks Kieran's mood has been all over the place to an exhaustive extent. You tried your hardest to comfort him the best you could, running your hands through his hair and suggesting he try bonding with the other men in the camp but it was to no avail.
A particularly cold night you found yourself drowsily reaching for him for warmth like you always did. Usually he'd offer you his blanket and cuddle up next to you, a gesture that never failed to warm your heart. You were suddenly wide awake at noticing his absence.
Peaking out of your tent you search around for your boyfriend. You shiver at the feeling of the cool air on your bare shoulders but crawl out anyway. You see Arthur and Bill by the glow of the campfire and walk towards them with your arms wrapped around yourself.
"Well look who's awake." Arthur says, offering you a beer. You shake you head, rubbing the sleep out of your eyes.
"Thanks but m'just lookin' for Kieran." You say.
There's still no sight of him as you look around.
"I saw him sneakin' out about an hour ago." Arthur says taking a sip from his bottle, "Go check over by the horses."
Kieran has always had a special connection to the horses. He knew so much about them, more than anyone you'd ever met before. One of the reasons he fell for you was how kind you were to the animals, it was refreshing to have someone around that was so pleasant with all of the chaos.
"Of course! Thanks Arthur."
Arthur was right as he usually was. Kieran was brushing Old Belle, detangling her mane like he'd probably done for a number of other horses before you found him.
"What are you doing up?" You say.
He jumps at the sound of your voice, startled at hearing another person.
"I should be askin' you that. It's late and it's cold so. . . you should just go back." He says trying to dismiss you.
"No, you snuck away from our tent in the middle of the night to come play with the horses?"
Kieran is silent for a moment and then puts his brush away. You furrow your brow at him as he politely walks around Taima, attempting to leave the confrontation. He does this a lot, tries to walk away from you at any sign of a disagreement. It's more frustrating than actually getting into a fight, which happens very rarely.
"You know it's rude to just walk away from someone when they're trying to talk to you!" You say grabbing his arm as he tries to shift past you.
"Can you keep it down?" He says in a hushed voice, "What do you care anyways."
You shake your head at him, "What do I care? Why wouldn't I? You've not been yourself for a while." You say.
"There's nothing wrong. I—I wish that you'd just leave me be." He says with a slight tremble in his voice, "I'm no good for you anyways. Everyone knows it; you even know it." He's not trying to walk away anymore but he's not making eye contact with you no matter how hard you try, which somehow feels even worse.
"Kieran. . ." You say, still his eyes stay on the ground in front of him. You wanted to think that this came out of nowhere but it didn't.
"Don't even try to disagree with me, 'cause I know you don't."
His cheeks and nose were pinkend by the harsh cool air and all you wanted was to bring him back to your cot and warm him up.
"I would never! I love you, you take care of me just as I do for you. You belong here just like the rest of us." You said.
"I—I love you too, I mean, you know that. It's just—I don't feel. . ." He trails off, his voice losing its confidence as he spoke.
You brought a hand to his chilly cheek to urge him on. The scruff there feeling familiar and comforting.
"I don't belong here like the rest of you, and I certainly don't deserve you. Miss Grimshaw knows it, Mister Morgan looks at me like—like I'm some kind of rodent."
You sighed at hearing the awful things that most likely plagued his mind all day. Your heart ached for him, no one appreciated him like you did but that wasn't enough.
"I'll talk to them." You say with a firm nod of your head, "I'll talk to everyone if I have to, let them know that when I'm not around to still treat you fair. It's only because of your past and you cant help that anymore than they can help theirs."
"No!" He said immediately, "I didn't mean to—to yell, but no. . .talking to 'em would only make it worse."
"I can't keep letting you get treated like this Kieran, they'll listen to me if I approach it right. They're not horrible people." You reason with him but he's still got that furrow browed-look on his face.
"Yeah sure. . ." He says but he still looks unsure, "I just wanna go back to bed right now. . ." He says.
"Yeah? Well let's go back to bed then." You say placing a kiss at his temple, "We'll talk more in the morning."
He nods unsurely, talking your hand as you both travel through camp back to your warm blankets and pillows. On the way there you pass Arthur and Bill again who seem to still be running through beers. You think to yourself that Arthur will be the one you speak with first, it seems the easiest since you two had always been close.
Back in your tent you hold each other close to warm up, pressing his head against your chest like you always did. When you both drift off it's an easy and light feeling, surrounded by each others love.
arthur:
A job gone wrong was no rare occurrence. It happened all the time, especially one as poorly planned as this. If you were being honest, you had no faith in the whole thing but it was in your best interest to keep
it to yourself. You had only been on a few jobs since joining the gang and never anything more intense than a petty robbery or posing as a distraction. When John proposed that you come with them on a proper scam doubting the probability of it all working out was the last thing on your mind.
Arthur voiced his doubts, of course, but you were in no position to side with him. You were desperate for your place along side the men and Sadie. To prove your worth went beyond a good pickpocket.
"I don't see why you need to tag along on this one." Arthur had said in that grumpy tone of his. He nearly pouted the whole way to valentine, trailing your horse so close that it had you nervous. Arthur was awfully protective; it was only a coping mechanism you came to figure out.
You'd been given a simple job, as John had put it, since it was your first time taking on something this dangerous. You were to distract the owners of a sizable homestead while John snuck in to search for whatever valuables they had inside. Arthur's duty was to be hidden somewhere close with an extra gun incase a problem arose.
The air was hash and chilly against your skin, making the tip of your nose distractingly numb as you stumbled over your words to the three men you were tasked with making acquaintances with. You were never this nervous; you'd lied before withe ease and never faltered once but now here you were being just about as suspicious as you could be. None of the men seemed to trust you—brothers you had learned, the eldest being the most aggressive and the one to do most of the talking. His attitude surely didn't help your pitiful performance as with each time he interrupted you or corrected you on your messy storytelling skills you felt yourself shrink.
"Ah yes well. . . I seem to be a bit confused. . . You see it was both my father and my dear brother who I've gotten separated from." You quickly tried to clean up the mess you made but it was too late. The three pairs of distrusting eyes looked over you unimpressed.
"I think you better get going now, as to not cause you anymore confusion." The eldest son said, stepping forward as his brothers stood firmly. You wondered why a man as capable as the one standing in-front of you would need two teenagers as backup but when you noticed their holsters you began to understand the dynamic much better.
"Oh sir, you couldn't turn me away just like that, could you? I'm lost and. . ." You looked over the man's shoulder to try and spot John through the fogged window but you could barely make him out. All you knew was that he was still in there and you were about to blow his chance of leaving discretely if you didn't think quickly.
"It'll only take a moment of your time, I'm just looking for the nearest station." You said, pleading the best you could with your trembling voice. John was taking much longer than you'd expected, your whole lost damsel shtick was only supposed to last a few minutes, five at most, just to catch their attention for a while but now you felt like the one being played.
"I think the lady here got a habit of being in places she don't belong." The one brother said. It was as if you weren't even standing there anymore.
"I think we best teach her a lesson." The oldest said. A sickening snarl in his voice that triggered your instinct to run. You couldn't though. There was a job to be done and you had to stand your ground until you couldn't anymore. You're eyebrows raised at the exchange and you hands fidgeted with the fabric of your skirt. As he stalked towards you the other two took their cue to hop over the banister, each standing at your side to surround you. You barely had time to react before you found yourself completely stuck. You gasped softly, looking around for any way to distance yourself from the men but you couldn't. It was hopeless.
"You done got all quiet now?" Confident steps across the wood of the porch were loud and made you flinch each time. "Don't be shy we're gonna get you that help you was begging for before." He says. You looked up at him with hesitant eyes, so close now it felt more real than it ever could have with a safe distance and knowing that John and Arthur weren't too far away. Now it was just you, these three men and open country.
When he reaches up to touch you, likely to brush a few strands of your hair back or provide some other unwanted touch, you can only imagine what was going through Arthurs mind. It all happens as quickly as you could blink. A loud sharp bang that was followed by two more pierced through the calm afternoon air. You were surrounded by bodies once again but this time you were completely alone. Splatters of red stained the wood of the house you stood in-front of. Where there once were men stood tall and confident in their ability to overpower you there were slumped corpses. It had all happened to fast for you to process it and you stood with your mouth unable to close, blinking eyes unfocused and staring at nothing.
A noticeably agitated "God dammit!" was heard from the direction you knew Arthur was hiding you. At hearing it you turn in search of him.
"Arthur!" You say, the name comes out of your mouth as sweet as a prayer.
You know he's upset but you can't help but feel relieved.
"What the hell was that?" John calls, pushing the door open as best as he could with his full hands, "This wasn't supposed to be no murder!" He scolds you as if you were the one with the gun.
"I didn't–" You try to defend yourself but he waves you off, "Ain't got time, we need to go now. There's no telling who's around that heard those gunshots." He's right, you nod.
It bothers you seeing John ride away on Old Boy knowing that he thinks you caused this whole mess due to carelessness but what bothers you even more is the absolute fury you see in the way Arthur's ridding towards you.
"Arthur I. . ." You trail off at seeing him walk right past you.
"You had one damn job, and an easy one at that!" He says, dragging the bodies into the house. He was careful to keep his hands clean and had no difficulty carrying the deadweight of the men like they were featherlight.
"I really did try! They weren't the kindest but I still could've gotten put of it if you had just given me the time." You said.
"Oh given you the time? The time to get yourself killed," He scoffed, "Now come on."
You huffed in frustration but followed as you'd been told to. Arthur still helped you mount his horse like he always did, silently lifting you up and then getting on himself. The ride was long and uncomfortable with how tense Arthur was. As you wrapped your arms around this torso you could feel the tension in his muscles.
He took you both straight to camp and once you were there he still didn't spare you a word. No one else knew that the job had gone wrong but the would soon enough. You felt embarrassed to be seen by the rest of the camp right now. It was irrational but you couldn't much help it. Instead of having a drink with your friends like you usually did most nights you followed Arthur into his tent.
Tentatively you pulled back the curtains, not sure what reaction to expect. Arthur was taking off his coat and unfastening a few of his shirts buttons. He didn't acknowledge you even though he knew you were there.
"Arthur I'm sorry things didn't go right back there." You said simply.
"Yeah me too." He said, you could hear the sarcasm in his voice. "I need a drink." He said out-loud, but it barely sounded directed at you. When he attempted to pass you you grabbed his hand , holding it in yours. "Please talk to me. I hate fighting with you."
"My word didn't seem to mean much to you before." He says and you feel every bit of guilt for it.
"I just wanted you to see me as capable."
"You sure proved yourself today."
"I said I could've handled it." You said, trying your best not to raise your voice. You'd never asked Arthur to swoop in and save you.
"You don't know men like I do, you should be thanking me on your hands and knees for saving you right now, but all I get is damn insolence." He growls at you. He nears closer to you as he speaks but you stand your ground.
Maybe he was right. Maybe you weren't ready like you'd thought and your place was here at camp, always waiting around on something more. You could ponder over it all you wanted but your pride wouldn't let you admit it out loud.
"You know how much I care about you. I couldn't live with myself if I let something happen to you, you know that." He said in a much softer tone.
"I know." You nodded. He'd told you so many times.
"Then stop fightin' me all the time."
To you it wasn't fighting, you just had something to prove. You let your head come to rest right against his chest and he wrapped his arms around you. You felt safe here, more than anywhere else.
"I only wanted to help. Like everyone else." You defended yourself once more.
"Sweetheart, we got enough crooks running with us, you don't have to put yourself in danger like that to help." He says, stroking your hair in a way that makes your eyes nearly roll back.
"Just let me keep you safe." He says right near your ear. His voice is a low rumble that sends a shiver down your spine.
