Lies But Truths - A Poem + Explanation to the poem ofc

TW: Depression shit probably, also brief mentions of eating struggles before poem starts

I did it again, I got in my fucking head because my mom doesn't understand my struggle with eating and makes me feel like it's invalid...So I forced myself to eat even though it was less than an hour of relief from eating for the first time today and it was barely anything but ughhh I feel like shit. Fuck human needs, pain in my ass. I didn't need to eat, but- god.

I'm really sad today but I don't know why.

I was so off today that I worried a friend of mine.

Was it the letters?

I don't know but I can't fix my mind.

I'm just sad, fuzzy, and lost.

I feel like I'm missing something.

I want to cry.

I want to talk to someone.

I want to laugh and have chaotic conversations.

I want to play games with them.

But I can't.

That makes me feel worse.

It pisses me off so fucking much.

How do I be okay?

Sleep didn't help, it turned me melancholy.

But I'm still way too tired.

Maybe writing will boost my mood.

Or reading.

Or watching Criminal Minds.

At night that seems like a horrible idea.

This poem was different, as you can tell. Didn't end the same way, and I even wrote it differently, on paper, not...How they're written on Tumblr. I write most of my poems in stanzas, not just line after line, this poem was written line after line. It just feels...Different Anyway, I wanted to try to explain the letters. Okay this year, I've written letters a total of three times.

The first time I got sick was the day after my birthday and it lasted like two weeks, I spiraled into a big depressive episode, and at first, the letters were my suicide notes to anyone I could think of. I ended up just writing them as thank yous and emailing them out to people. It made me feel better.

(There was a time in between this, and during the first time, that I wanted to write a bunch of thank yous to content creators and influencers and shit...I didn't end up doing it, though I did send a really long message to a content creator I liked on Twitter because when I'm depressed, sometimes I get impulsive, my depression impulsiveness is way worse than my normal impulsiveness which isn't usually that bad, just me wishing I could do late night drives, wanting to go on a walk in the middle of the night in a terrible neighborhood, wanting to drink a shit ton of energy drinks but not having the money, wanting to scream randomly but knowing that would scare the shit out of someone so I don't, etc. So, yeah. I still regret that. Anyone know how to delete twitter messages??? Please? Anyone? Please? I don't even want the most unlikely impossible chance of my depressive episodes being seen by a random influencer lol. Okay not random, Dream has been my comfo- Anyway moving on...)

The second time was right after MCC 21, I was watching Dream's POV and he raided Sapnap and I watched him win. It made me reallyyyy happy honestly. I just got the random rush and excitement and I drew for the first time in a while, LIKE FULLY TRIED, and I just. Man...I was so happy. So in my impulsiveness (during another depressive episode mind you, lol), I started my "envelope project" which still isn't complete, and I'm disappointed in my procrastination because...I was gonna write one to Techno but...Yeah, anyway...I started choosing content creators, as many as I could think of, and planning on writing a poem, a letter, and drawing one or two small things for them. Obviously, not planning on doing anything with them or anything, they're fucking impulsive and I don't know how to send them (sent Eret her's since she has a PO box but that's it lol), and so...Yeah that was the second time.

I'm pretty sure this poem was talking about the third time. I was feeling like shit, going through another impulsive episode, and I just wanted to thank people, for all they've done for me that year. So I did. I wrote one to Alex and that's how the indirect confession thing sorta happened lol, never talked to me about it but yeah. And uhm, yeah that's basically it.

When my depressive episodes turn impulsive, I basically just want to voice how much people mean to me or how much they've helped me, and so...That happened. And um...I hate that I do that. Honestly, how many of the content creator ones have I finished? I'm honestly curious lol (literally because I can't write one to every content creator out there, the last one is supposed to be to every content creator ever...yeah idk, because yes).

Let's see...I know Ranboo's is next but I just haven't had the ability too. I also put them in a random order so I have no idea when I wrote Eret's but yeah, remember I did Erets too anyway-

Completed ones are (order in first completed to most recent completion): Sapnap (obviously), Dream, Tubbo, Wilbur, Quackity (did his after Discord's Got Talent I believe), and Tommy's. (Eret too, remember that lol)

I haven't completed a lot, there's still a good few I want to write. I've been thinking about maybe making a video where I unveil the contents inside them, since I can't really do much and I do want to be a small-time creator someday. I've also thought about just simply burning them so no one can truly ever find out what's inside them. Apart from Eret if she saw her's lol...But yeah. That's- that's the explanation Ig

The soft clicking of a keyboard filled the air. Combine that with the steady hum of a PC, and you had the perfect lullaby for a lazy Saturday afternoon.

Inside a room decorated with calming accents sat a young figure, typing away fluently on her grey keyboard.

Their name was (Y/n), and although it appeared to be a relatively minor moment, thousands of thoughts were flying around in her head at speeds only she could keep up with.

You see, (Y/n) was a twitch streamer. A well known one in fact. But instead of your average gamer screaming at pixelated screens all day, she took on a rather unique approach to the well known website.

Ever since she had been a young girl, (Y/n) wanted to help others. But due to her subtle, yet noticeable, awkwardness around people, she had found a separate way to get her voice out there.

At the ripe age of 17, she created an account under the name DontOverlookUs. Cheesy, I know, but it got an unexpected reaction in such a short amount of time. Now, after months of hard work, (Y/n) was finally getting recognized for her strange content.

What she did that made her so different from the average gamer girl, was that (Y/n) would stream a live podcast. Then after finishing it, she would upload the lengthy content to an alt account on YouTube. (Also undergoing the name Don't Overlook Us.)

Most of these so-called "podcasts" were actually just (Y/n) talking about the problems in today's society and providing verbal support to the people. She focused mainly on her generation, which ended up attracting many fellow Gen Z'ers with a thirst for change.

Currently, her most popular uploads were "Boys will be boys; but respectably" and "Eating disorders. Also known as a pain in the ass."

You can probably guess what they're about.

If one had stumbled across these cheesy titles on their own, they might have filed them away as some inspirational shit that the government required high school teachers to dish out. But because of her bubbly and humorous attitude, nearly every teen on the internet knew who DontOverlookUs was.

Networking. It did wonders for the virtual world.

That's why back in the present, (Y/n) was currently finishing setting up her streaming surroundings. (Yes, she did her streams a certain way. It helped calm her anxiety when facing such a prestigious platform as Twitch and YouTube.)

The influencer pulled up her screen, reached for a fuzzy blanket to wrap around her shoulders, and then clicked start.

It took a moment before she started to talk.

"Hey." The woman greeted her screen calmly with a small smile and a tiny wave. Immediately, countless numbers of people flew in, the numerous comments reflecting in her (e/c) pools.

"Glad to see everyone here today." She made sure to do her signature greeting that made the fans' hearts glow with warmth. To them, there was just something so precious yet empowering by the young activist that made them log on over and over again.

"As many of you might know, today's stream is a tad bit different. I notice how you all really seem to like my weird sense of humor when I talk about things, so I figured we could do a stream to get to know me more."

The positivity was not a new thing to her channel. In fact, sometimes people compared her streams to the comment sections in Bob Ross videos. Rarely would you find any hateful words in either of them. It was one of the few things (Y/n) actually prided herself on.

After finally spotting it, (Y/n) leaned back and prepared for her stream to officially begin.

"A good question my watery friend. I would have to say my favorite color is (f/c). As for why-"

And it went on like that for a while. Comments would bombard the comfy girl with questions, a few even donating to get recognized further.

In the sea of query, it was only a matter of time before a particular one caught her eye.

She just didn't expect it to be so soon.

"This was my favorite." She beamed, laughing at the memory of first watching it. It was the Tom Simmons video titled 'I DO THE CRAZIEST OBSTACLE COURSE IN ENGLAND!!!'

"I ended up spitting out my water while laughing at a couple points. The chaotic energy that all of them produced was too much for my sleep deprived brain at three am."

"Shut up! Shut up you fuckers! She's going to see me!!!" He laughed loudly. But with the way his eyes were darting around the room, (Y/n) could tell he was nervous about her intentions.

She smiled cheerily while typing out a bit of information into her computer. Seconds later, a purple icon appeared on Tommy's screen with a variety of words underneath it.

(Y/n) leaned back in her chair with a triumphant grin, waiting for a reaction from the boy. I mean, sure. There goes her allowance for the next year, but this is the most fun she's had in a while.

"I hate you. I hope you die in a fire." Tommy hid his face behind his hands embarrassedly while shouting his words at her. You could tell he didn't mean any of it though, and (Y/n) laughed.

Logging out of screenshare, she redirected her attention back to her own stream.

"Thanks for all the fun Tommy. You seem like a pretty swell person. I don't normally plug a lot of people, but sub to Mr. Innit guys. It'd mean a lot to him." The corners of (Y/n)'s mouth tilted up as she saw all the responses.

Satisfied with the sudden responses to her announcement, she blew an unexpected kiss at the camera.

This'll be up on YouTube whenever I get off my lazy ass to edit. Now go get some sleep or no updates for a year." She took one last look at the chat's sweet farewell messages before ending it.

A strange silence fell over her room as she closed all her recording platforms. Editing could wait, (Y/n) wasn't kidding when she said that she had some digging to do.

Whipping out her phone, (Y/n) flopped on her bed and pulled up Tommy's channel. Funny thumbnails and over exaggerated titles flooded her vision.

With a snicker and a fast click, a lengthy playlist of the child's contents uploaded itself onto her screen.

Wouldn't this be fun.

okay first big batch of questions, starting off with grian because 1. god i love winged species and 2. i know the most about him any info at all about the elytrians/grian?like i know you mentioned grian is very in tune with the others emotions and such because he is one, so ill focus on that but you can say whatever other ideas you have too- im assuming elytrians are empaths/an empathetically linked species then, but does that change how he interacts with the others/how elytrians interact with each other? does he have to act a lot different around non-elytrians in order to communicate better? also, how far do you think it goes? does he just get Vibes from everyone he walks past or does he have to focus on someone in particular? if he does feel what everyone else does, are packed environments overwhelming or exciting? can he send out feelings to someone (maybe to calm them down or smth) or does he only receive them and then decide how act based on that? (if this is too much/you can’t answer it all dw about it lol i am just rambling)

Yeah i can give some info on the elytrians! Like I said a lot of this is referenced off of @/ratspeen's Human Error series because its pog as hell-

Anyways Elytrians are a very familial race which probably adds to how aware emotionally they are. They have to be in tune with everyone so that their flock is all safe and healthy. Usually Elytrians can tell how people are feeling on a base level but not so much that they know Exactly whats wrong. So they can get the gist of if someone is excited, sad, or even angry. It also helps that Elytrians express a lot of body language through their wings.

But since the other hermits on the ship aren't Elytrians, it takes a while for Grian to pick up everyone else's body language. He can still sort of tell what they're feeling but the communication through subconscious stuff helps a LOT in terms of narrowing it down. Once he's gotten familiar with everyone's body language he can better understand them, almost as well as other Elytrians. So yeah its kind of a mix of vibes And focusing. He can pick up the jist but if he studies their body language more it helps him get a better idea.

And yeah! He does act a lot different. Elytrians I think are a very vocal and contact oriented species so Grian can't be as touchy n stuff when around the hermits. He still is kinda clingy but not As Much. And Elytrian language is a lot of chirping and other bird noises. So when attempting to sooth someone feeling sad, Elytrian or not, he tends to default to cooing. A lot of those noises are stuff Elytrians make to their young, fledglings, so its a noise of comfort to a lot of their folk. So by making those noises he's really tryin' to comfort people.

Sorry if any of this is kinda weird or sounds janky, I am doing My Best! Anyways moving on-

So Elytrian's can't really send emotions, it's not magic or anything. They're just very good at understanding. So in crowded environments he doesn't really get bombarded by anything, he just gets the general vibe of the area. Like is everyone here interested in something? Excited? Or maybe nervous? It helps a lot when determining the danger of an area. If anyone seems on edge then he's on guard.

But ye!!! In short, Grian can get the vibes of how people are feeling based on how they hold themselves. He decides how to act around them based on those emotions :D If you have any more questions PLEASE let me know because this was very fun !!!!!

I quite like all three mobs. Theyre all very cute,,, I think the Glare got done dirty by how mob spawns are gonna be changing but it's not useless bc you could use its mechanic to make a fun minigame or something

The allay is pretty pog bc of it's whole gathering mechanic, it'd be very good for item sorters, resource gathering etc. Plus if the worry that it's range is too small it's been stated that they gather dropped items from loaded chunks and you could extend their range further with chunk loaders + the whole potential on helping you find items after you die

The copper golem adds more uses for copper + copper buttons. They may seem useless but they're good for randomising mini games if you're up to making them not too sure on that whole statue thing though

Theyd all help bring some liveliness to builds which is pretty nice, also probably depends on what style you're building in.

Personally, I really like the design of the copper golem, it's just a vibe I like a lot. But I'm also a technical player + resource gatherer so I find the allay more fit for my playstyle. The glare being added would be interesting bc itd probably get people to try and find a fun way to use such a unique mechanic and that'd be fun to see. But in the end allay has my vote bc it just fits my playstyle the most so

FF6 (Characters)

You can name most of the characters (playable ones anyway) but I kept some because I liked them. Trust me, I'm listing a bunch of characters but don't assume that it's too many because somehow, someway, this game knows how to balance them and make most of them pretty interesting. You can also only have four in your party at one time and are made interchangeable for the most part, so there's that.

A lot of these characters come with their own side-quests and other than venturing off the beaten path to get a specific set of armor or a weapon, the characters are actually most of the side-quests so they feel natural and apart of the story but not so much so that it feels empty "without" them or forced "with" them. The other "quests" I guess I'll call them are mainly collecting magicites. I didn't do every single one and I won't list EVERYTHING but the ones that I didn't do and that actually had story, I just looked up afterwards.

Terra. She reminds me a lot of Gwen from Ben 10: AF/UA because she's the last natural magic user and has a form much like Gwen's mana form. It basically boils down to that she was brainwashed by the empire, finds out her parents' backstory and wonders if love is possible for her like it was for them.

Locke. He had a girl that he liked named Rachel but he failed to protect her so she's kept in stasis, surrounded by flowers until he finds a way to save her. He's also a treasure hunter and he has the ability to take items from different enemies, sometimes useful armor, sometimes some heal items, heck while he's back there rummaging around in the enemy's drawers, he even does some damage.

Gau, who I called Tachi. He's more gameplay than story because he's just a kid, a homeless kid who lives out in the wild, leaps around and talks like Tarzan. His ability though...when you first meet him, you let him join you by giving him some food (dried meat, his favorite) and then once he joins your party, he has the ability to learn an enemy's moveset, which you only have to do a little bit to really gain any traction. So let me say just how powerful that makes him. The bomb is a consistent enemy in the FF series, not the most powerful but one that can self destruct. Imagine taking that self-destruct and turning it into a weapon for maximum damage and once you set which enemy's moveset you want to use for the battle, you don't have to do it anymore! So he'll just keep rolling whatever move is best and keep attacking without you telling him to! He might seem weaker in the end game territory but when you first find him and learn how to use him properly and level him up, he's quite the character.

Cyan. I saw his face and thought "Cyan" because I wanted a character named after a color but despite never seeing him before, I looked down at his preset name "Cyan". It was meant to be! He has these attacks called "Bushido" where you get to pick 1-8 (once you unlock them, that is) and it makes him do a special move. They're pretty powerful and if you know an enemy's weakness, you can really get some good combos in. His story more or less starts off with a blank slate because you see his whole kingdom die at the hands of Kefka poisoning the river (which then poisoned the air) and his story doesn't even neccessarily imply revenge, it's just stopping Kefka and his forces so that stuff like that doesn't happen again, and having the Returners' (what this whole group is called) cause basically acting as a magnet for him, how could he not? I definitely suggest his sidequest, it's one of the more meaty ones so it's got some story to chew on, it's not an easy quest though so if anything just look it up.

King Edgar, who I called Gap. He was easily one of if not the most consistent member of my party and for one major reason. His tools. He has all these tools that you can equip and I'm here for all of them. He has a drill that does major damage but only to one lucky customer. He has a crossbow which does damage to all enemies at the same time. He has a noise blaster which turns the enemies the other way and keeps them from attacking until they take a set amount of damage. He has a bioweapon, which is effective against any living creatures (that's pretty inhumane to think about so I didn't really use that). And even more! Other than that, he's king of Figaro so he gives you a discount if you're there and he's the head of your party. He's pretty clever.

Sabin, who I called Banana. (Get it? Because his brother is the Gap and he's the Banana Republic? Haha, yellow hair.) I didn't use him very much because he has this cool power called a "Blitz" where you press the D-pad buttons for certain combinations like a fighting game. The problem is, that most of the time I would use it, it would say "invalid input" despite doing it correctly, a drawback of using an emulator I'm sure. Getting his final blitz is pretty fun though because it's literally just a circle (which the emulator was fine with)

Shadow, who I called Sneak (short for Sneaker kukukuku). And his dog, Interceptor (you don't get to choose his name) but he's a bounty hunter, no more, no less...Ok, for real though, they lead you on to think that and then if you choose to save him, they start showing who's really behind the mask.

Celes. She's probably my favorite, her story is quite involved because she was an imperial (a general at that) who was imprisoned for being a traitor because she questioned Kefka's authority when he poisoned the river. That isn't outright stated but it is the reason, so Locke comes to the rescue before she gets executed. We come to find out that she's a magic user too but she's artificial, she was infused with it. (more on that later) But using that she plays directly into Terra's story and since Locke found her and saved her, he starts to get a bit of a crush.

Setzer, the only character from this game that was in Kingdom Hearts. He's a gambler (and a past Struggle champion, mind you!) but he has an airship and man is that thing fast! I think there's an item you can use to fast travel but I never used it, never really needed to. The only complaint I have about that is that there isn't a tracker (that I know of) so if you wander off, you could lose where you landed it. But Setzer's quite suave, I like his backstory with Darill. He has a slot option which I've seen in some of the other games, it's nothing too drastic but it's alright, I do feel it's more randomized than you actually picking though. Even if he's mainly there just for a means to travel, I couldn't help but like his character and feel like he's a part of the group.

Kefka, the villain. He's not the one that infused Celes with her power but he ordered it so imagine what he's been doing with his other lackeys. To himself. He's an oddball because his laugh is creepy and he does evil stuff but when you fight him, he just sets his minions on you and is actually weak in comparison He runs away despite trying to keep up his ego with some excuse. But they build him up and he gets stronger and eventually you gain control of a character who is quite powerful, they show you this power and how he's stronger than the rest of your team then have Kefka win. That's smart but he's still pretty silly ("But he's a clown!" to which I say "I know this!") But I feel like the ending was kind of sudden, like the build up was there but he didn't really do much other than "be a boss" it was more what he had already done by that point. I guess most of the FF games I've played have done that though for one reason or another.

Strago, who I called Mungo. He has the ability of "Lore" and honestly I don't have a lot to say about him, there isn't much to him and I didn't use him much but I named him! That counts for something! (But I also named Mog "Pog" so...)

Relm, who I called Reij. She's Mungo's granddaughter and an artist, she sketches the picture of whatever's in front of her then copies its ability (similar to Tachi). She's cute but I didn't use her too often either because I found her to be kind of weak. Maybe I just didn't give her the right equipment but she's a nice side character, I liked her role for the boss in Owzer's mansion, pretty cool. (She's also pretty good on enemies that have the "death" ability)
