Big gruff, scary yanderes, darlings are terrified sitting in the corner freezing in fear when yans come up to them and just start.... playing with their hair then braiding it. Sitting in shock unsure of what to do with the sudden affection, it eventually turns into getting gifted blankets, being baked cookies. Just... slowly accepting these acts of affection and learning to enjoy them.

Kenpachi is much more chill than I think people give him credit for, so he'll do stuff like this often. He raised a little girl and does his own hair, so doing stuff like braiding and making sweets is def in his wheelhouse.

Same for Unohana since she's kept her mask of humanity and kindness for so long. But with Darling it almost feels real, like she can feel something that isn't bloodlust. Love, even.

Katakuri does this ALLL the time. He's seventeen feet tall and a brick shithouse with fangs, but he's canonically the cutest man ever. He looks quite spicy and bitter but is actually very sweet even when it isn't time for his Merienda. However during his Merienda he WILL feed you donuts and wax poetic about his favorite kinds.

Or Croc finding fresh water so he can wash you and himself. Normally he doesn't care what he smells like, but now he's got a mate in the hideout and he has an urge to groom himself a bit. He's also drawn to their warmth since his condition has slowly turned him cold-blooded, so you'll just wake up to THIS trying to curl up around you
