It feels strange, a bit uncomfortable, a bit invasive. Open in ways he has never let himself be. Vulnerable. Yet for a moment there, he watches from afar, fixating on his every gesture. The frown on his brows, the mouth open in concentration, the soothing circles of his thumb over his hip, the bob of his throat working. How every five seconds he asks if he's hurting him. Draco's painstakingly slow, dragging his fingers like Harry is made of delicate porcelain, dropping kisses on overheated skin like prayers.

It's mesmerizing and lovely, but bloody hell, Harry wants him. Needs him—this exact moment.

"Draco," Harry says between his teeth. "Fuck. Me. Now."

"But- maybe you need more prep-"

"Now, for fuck's sake."

Eddie thought it was crazy that all of his holidays were celebrated at Bobby and Athena’s minus his birthday and Christmas, every other holiday was here and here was yet again celebrating the New Year, with his friends and with his future husband.

Chris and Denny had been in bed way before 11pm, everyone had tried to keep quiet but when midnight rolled around they couldn’t help it, so now the boys were watching a movie on the couch with a big bowl of popcorn the Athena had snuck by everyone between them.

“I’ve just become a patron of the baseball non-profit I supported, so that’s exciting.” Evan smiles, as Ravi waffles on about he could’ve almost be a pro baseball player when he decided to join the 118.

Eddie wasn’t sure how much he believed that statement but he just shrugged it off, Ravi was always going to be Ravi and he was a little drunk so he couldn’t really focus on what anyone was saying anyway.

“Ravi, you absolutely weren’t an almost professional baseball player.” Chimney laughs, his hands resting on the island.

“I so was!” Ravi exclaims, “Let me find a picture.”

Evan laughs to himself before whispering ‘Do you need water?’ in Eddie’s ear, a small nod coming from the man, slightly slumped next to him.

“Come on, sit here.” Evan smiles, guiding Eddie to a seat at the dining table.

“I think, I think the tequila was not good.” Eddie hiccups.

“Tequila is never a good idea.” Evan laughs, “You should know that by now.”

“No shots at the wedding?” Eddie says, his drunken voice louder than he thought.

“No shots at the wedding.” Evan confirms, he was knelt down slightly, his blue eyes staring into Eddie’s brown ones. “I’ll get you that water.”

Evan turned around to seemingly everyone’s eyes on him and Eddie.

i feel like not enough ppl are factoring in the cultural clash between laios and shuro and the many micro agressions shuro faced while being in their group. literally the name 'shuro' in itself is one

his name is toshiro 😭 lets also not forget that he has his own communication issues, in the opposite way that laios does- thats literally a factor in their argument, that his envy for laios's ability to express himself sincerely manifested as part of his distaste for him.

ig all this to say like, was their fight heart wrenching, especially when reading laios as autistic? absolutely. anybody whos ever been in laios's position knows how much it hurts to realize someone you thought was your friend doesnt actually like having you around, especially when they didnt tell you and you had no way of knowing due to not understanding their cues. but im begging yall to step back and see the nuance of this situation cause im gonna be real a lot of you are kinda just brushing over it acting like everything is toshiros fault and that hes a terrible person when in reality hes an average guy who really, really clashed with laios and it led to a very long misunderstanding due to their supremely opposite methods of communication. even laios and toshiro, after letting everything out in their fight, were able to come to an understanding and start a foundation for an actual friendship built on better communication

ok yknow what Edit: i shouldve made it even more explicit at the end of this post, i hadnt thought i would need to since i started the post with this, but i think a few too many people are missing my point so i just wanna clarify. i shouldnt have said 'really clashed' and left it at that because yeah they did, but it wasnt just their opposite methods of communication, it is also very much that toshiro was experiencing microaggressions via laios. it may have been unintentional on laios's part, but it still happened and wore him down, made it harder for him to communicate on top of both the more subtle social cues that he was raised with and his own communication difficulties. i also want to say that the fandom reaction to toshiro and the complete ignorance of this point is also racist tbh or at the very least ignorant. i understand that the anime did not cover this panel, and neither did the manga, as this was an omake, but im gonna be real with you guys. there are enough context clues within the story to clue you into this. if you didnt pick up on it thats ok, but i think this is a good lesson in picking up subtext in the stories that youre watching and/or reading. kui shouldnt have to explicitly say 'by the way laios was racist to toshiro' for this point to be understood, and at the very least, when the author portrays a character in a sympathetic light (as kui clearly does) it should make you question Why they are doing so and what makes them sympathetic, rather than youre immediate and only reaction to be 'well i hated what this guy did/said so i hate them and they suck'. idk exactly how to finish this, just. idk. question your biases and gut reactions to things you see in media and stories, and think about whether or not theres subtext that youre missing.

"Marcille hates all of Laios' freak traits but loves them in Falin" is honestly a really good joke but... you guys do know it's a joke right?

It's such a funny one I honestly find it impossible to get mad at even when people mistake it for an actual truth about the characters but JUST TO MAKE IT CLEAR

THIS is how marcille reacts when Falin is predictably just as enthusiastic about eating monsters as her brother was.

That is not the face of a woman who thinks this trait is lovely and endearing as long as it's exhibited by the girl she loves. That is the face of a woman who is taking 7d8 psychic damage and yet knows deep in her heart she won't like Falin any less for it.

The way young Marcille reacts to Falin eating berries Marcille can't recognize but Falin knows are safe is pretty similar to how she reacts to eating monsters years later, albeit with more fear than disgust. The difference in her relationships with Laios and Falin isn't just that she's attracted to Falin, it's because the Touden siblings, while similar, are in fact different people. Not just genderswaps of each other.

Also, I think you all already know this, but just to say it: she doesn't actually hate Laios for any of his freak tendencies either. He's one of her best friends. She's just a lot quicker to be outwardly exasperated with him while she's quieter about it with Falin.

Din just tried to figure out what the colour of the clones' armor paint meant, and why he's never heard Rex mention his CO during all the wartime stories and lectures; whereas he's already got to meet Wolffe and his general and even heard Cody mention his every once in a blue moon. I'll take a bit of your time to give a bit of an explanation why I decided to put Rex in Skelly's spot:

During a playthrough when I was looking for screenshots to use as backgrounds the first thing that greeted me was Zagreus calling Skelly "Captain" upon entering the armoury, or whatever that chamber is called. And that really decided it, let's be honest. Rex is Captain, and that is the Captain's spot. End of story.

Reading "still got it" by qigiined even before I got into watching TCW was such a personality defining experience (seriously, this fic lives forever rent free in my brain), that I really had no other option but to put the few clones that I'm willing to work into this AU somewhere around home base (the covert) - so you can guess where Cody and Wolffe are situated. Or will be, hopefully soon enough. Rex needs to be able to hang out with Cody, that's just how it is. (Rebels and TBB canon who?)

Rex deserves to teach some uppity Mando bounty hunters and other warriors who think too much of themselves a few lessons in humility and some crafty tricks. I think it would be very good for him.

As a throwaway note since we are already under the read more section, I've been thinking about sigils and keepsakes (trinkets) and cthonic companions (I know that over a year ago I inaccurately but very self indulgently designed one for Din, Boba and Cobb, that is not the point now) and while Cody can have one shaped like Boga, and Wolffe can obviously get a stuffed loth wolf (and Bo-Katan a very squishy owl)... I have no idea what shaped companion Rex could have. If anyone has any suggestions and would love to share it with me, I'd be very grateful!
