The first time Mike felt the impulse to kiss Will must have thrown him for a loop. It probably came out of nowhere, too. Maybe sometime in S3...

It’s an average day. Something totally innocuous happens.

Will, beating his high score at the arcade, looks over his shoulder and smiles at him. The corners of his mouth curl in a sweet pattern Mike knows by heart.

Or they’re in the movie theater trying to stifle laughter from a joke Mike told and Will catches his eye for one, two seconds too long.

The draw he feels towards Will’s like that is abrupt but not entirely surprising. Of course it would be Will. Will is... Well, he doesn’t want to think about the reasons.

But Will is a boy.

Would Will want to...?

The guilt is heavy and ugly. Mike can't tell anybody. Not his parents, not the Party, not Will, and especially not El.

It’s a little hard to look her in the eye.

He doesn’t imagine they’ll hate him. Rather, he’s just afraid his friends won’t understand-- he doesn’t understand what’s happening either! And he doesn’t want to mess up the good thing he has going with El (for now).

Is he the problem? Maybe he’s making a bigger deal out of this than he should...

Mike mulls over it for a long, shameful time. But having no one he dare discuss it with, he carefully folds up the feeling like an outgrown sweater and hides it away somewhere deep inside himself; distinctly out of reach.

y'all are absolutely free to use tumblr however you please but I want redditors to know that they could, hypothetically, start a sideblog about a particular topic, add moderators to it, turn on submissions (and asks), make an "about" page laying out rules and such, and create a good tagging system. If you want it to be a bit more familiar.

Sometimes annoying your bratty husband with silly gifts will cause him to bluescreen unintentionally. It's fine, though. Just take advantage of his touch starvation with cuddles to override the issue. Any biting and hissing that follows is totally normal. You may then proceed with your usual goofy antics of sticking tape onto the end of his tail when he's not looking, no doubt leading to the massacre of half your followers. :]
