i genuinely don't care how good a piece of ai generated art or writing looks on the surface. i don't care if it emulates brush strokes and metaphor in a way indistinguishable from those created by a person.

it is not the product of thoughtful creation. it offers no insights into the creator's life or viewpoint. it has no connection to a moment in time or a place or an attitude. it has no perspective. it has no value.

it's empty, it's hollow, and it exists only to generate clicks (and by extension, ad revenue.)

it's just another revolting symptom of the disease that is late stage capitalism, and it fucking sucks.

Why don’t they teach mathematical logic earlier? It’s present in literally all the books you have to read anyway. Some algebra author is going to be like for vs real numbers a,b ≠ 0 there exists a ratio a/b that is also a real number. And most people can’t even read that. Like half of the book is completely inaccessible because logic is fucking wild and requires actual practice with.

I’m not saying that this stuff is incredibly hard; it’s not. However logic just isn’t taught even though it is clearly foundational.

Sets especially seem to trigger me. Like I think a lot of people struggle with trig specifically because this aspect of functions is just not taught well. Like of course the arcsin(x) isn’t defined for -pi/2 > x < pi/2. It would be so much better if we actually taught this stuff.

Idk. The more you think about it the more you realize that gender ideologists are viciously ignorant. Because how on earth would you not be able to determine the sex of bone and why would it not matter the sex of your blood donor? One of the biggest arguments that made me "peak" as a teen was that you cannot distinguish between male and female skeletons. I didn't even need to hear anything further, no further reading, no charts, to tell that was BS. We literally have additional organs to men. We stop growing at different ages, we're more prone to things like autoimmune disease, osteoporosis, and arthritis. We metabolize medications and alcohol differently, we need different amounts of different nutrients like iron, we have different symptoms of things like heart attacks. I looked at my own body in the mirror and knew my skeleton was different than a boy's. We can tell what part of the world a person grew up in because of the way that tap water affects the growth of our teeth, we can tell how old people are based on their teeth, even their ethnicity, how on earth would we not be able to tell a male from a female pelvis? Even when learning how to draw human bodies, the differences are stark; women are shorter, women have smaller frames, higher waists, larger hips, longer foreheads even, etc. Our feet are even shaped differently; male feet tend to be significantly wider than female feet. that's why our shoes don't fit each other even when they're the same length. I used to think they truly believed this shit but now I don't. I think they have something they wanted to change, made up a bunch of lies, and then gaslit themselves into believing it and that's what they do to everybody else to get them to believe it, too.

They believe that synthetic hormones are enough to change somebody's gender, but they don't believe real hormones are enough to differentiate the sexes.

I'm sincerely very happy for anyone who is enjoying the show but every time I see takes that the show has improved the book characterizations or that the book characters are underdeveloped in comparison to the show...

"they talked about everything and nothing" is my biggest pet peeve. It's so much worse than a fade to black before a sex scene. Even in the sexiest lustiest pining-est fic, fade to black is still better than they talked about everything and nothing. Like. I am the biggest proponent of 'your sex scene should be unique to you! And your fic!' out there, but in the end I still know what probably happens in a sex scene and if you're fading to black then I definitely know. They orgasmed; it was good; it didn't move the plot along; fine; no one cares.
