uhhh dumb little reference i made for myself so that i can draw the wattersons (*cough cough* gumball and darwin) in a more consistent style. ive just kinda noticed that the way i draw them tends to change a lot and its been getting under my skin rlly bad honestly 😭😭

also decided to make the green on darwin warmer and give him buck teeth cuz i noticed that they draw him with them a lot in s1 and i think its cute!

We need to talk about how The Amazing World of Gumball felt the need to have a big epic climax at the end of almost EVERY episode, and I’m referring to the recent seasons, because you’ll definitely notice that there’s a LOT of them compared to how the show was in it’s early days. You could legit start an episode about freaking Ice cream and then the episode’s climax would take place in an epic highway chase scene with the Wattersons in the car, or on a crane or some shit. The way some of them start out so normal and then end with something like the Matrix being open is baffling. And guess what? I love it EVERY time, it’s amazing.

Arranged marriage (on mother's side),

Another arranged marriage (now with kids!)

Magical children that are literally mindcontrolled by their parents into submission,

Rich people eugenics cult,

Man going against the wishes of his wife, becoming a supervillain while trying to revive her and then going insane with power

That same man threatening to kill his nephew

The nephew (temporarily) killing him (deserved tbh)

Another timeline where supervillain dad forcing his son to join him literally resulted in apocalypse

Horrific child abuse in general (physical and mental)

Man figures out that by having a magical son he developed a terminal illness and proceeds to ruin his life

Boy discovers he might not be quite human when his dad (who calls him a monster) almost kills him

At some point two children are put in pure white rooms. You know, the ones used for psychological torture

One child suffered so much trauma he almost killed everyone about it except his cousin and his two gfs (it's okay, they got better)

Another child doesn't even know he was brainwashed and that his dad was a supervillain and that his dead mom was in the basement. He is gaslighted into thinking his abusive dad was a hero"

Anais hits her face every time her family says something stupid which eventually sends her to the hospital. Gumball being traumatized because he accidentally kissed his grandma in the mouth.
