Animal Crossing Fanweek 2024!

Let's celebrate Animal Crossing together!!! During the first week of June, I will be hosting an Animal Crossing fan week, where we all share our love for the franchise.

Each day of the week has a specific prompt! You don't have to participate everyday, but it's encourage of those who can or want to! I will be reblogging any post tagged #acfanweek2024 to share the love and connect with the community, and it's encouraged for those participating to do so as well (but deff not required)

A quick rundown of the prompts, and explanations of what they mean:

June 2nd Day 1 - Animal Crossing Pride. Since this event is in June, we're kicking things off with a bit of LGBT pride! Any build, room, or custom design that are pride themed are welcome. Even fanart or cosplays depicting the characters of the game sporting pride flags are welcome! Whatever way you celebrate pride in Animal Crossing!

META // ASTROLOGICAL BIRTH CHART ANALYSIS

I have a Sagittarius mercury, and if you don't know what I mean by that you're going to find out when you click the read-more.

See the end of this post for a visual of Kiryu's birth chart

Important Note: I follow traditional astrology rather than modern astrology. I stick to traditional planetary rulers for the signs and use whole sign houses (i.e., the sign that contains the ascendant degree is the first house, and each sign following that is assigned to the following house.) I also do not follow the 12 Letter Alphabet system which essentially makes Planet=Sign=House, and I could write an entire thesis about why, but this is a post about Kiryu not my beef with specific astrology techniques. I’ll just say how I’m interpreting this is much different from how another astrologer might interpret it. Also I’m not going to interpret every single placement and aspect because this is going to be long already, so I’m just going to focus on things that may help to explain my characterization of him.

Disclaimer: We know that Kiryu was born 17 Jun 1968. Because we don’t have a specific birth time for him (as far as I know) I picked one for him that resulted in a chart that I believe is overall pretty fitting. The birth time affects rising/ascendant sign as well as where the houses of the horoscope (the circle chart below) fall. I had like 3 different ascendant signs I thought fit him equally well and ended up going with this one, but I can definitely see a case being made for a different birth time.

Now let’s get astrologying.

The Ascendant

Scorpio: Fixed Water, Ruled by Mars, Detriment of Venus Ascendant: The degree of the zodiac wheel on the horizon at the time of birth. This is the most personal placement and it along with its ruler represent the person themselves. Where the ascendant is determines the first house of the chart which is the house of self.

The best way to describe any Scorpio placement is intense. There is a strong energy with this placement that draws people in as much as it intimidates them. A notable physical trait for a Scorpio Ascendant would be a particularly penetrating gaze but they are as charming as they are intimidating. There’s also an undeniable sex appeal about them.

This being a fixed sign, there is an intense steadfast nature. In general, fixed rising people are loyal at their core, if stubborn at times. Scorpio Risings would in most situations come off as fairly calm even if internally they’re anything but.

Scorpio is a heavily misunderstood sign. With this on the Ascendant, the person themselves may feel misunderstood by others or may even struggle to understand themselves. Despite being deeply emotional, they are also extremely private, especially with matters involving their emotional world. They may end up burying their emotions so far down that even they struggle to understand what they’re feeling. However, this is absolutely a case of the outside being quite deceiving. Being a water sign, Scorpio operates at an emotional level; it’s just that their emotional reaction is to keep things as under wraps as possible so no one else can use their emotions against them. And if they feel threatened, they will strike first so they don’t end up the one who gets hurt. This might make them appear cold from an outside perspective despite the fact that, in truth, they’re anything but that.

I think it's pretty self-explanatory for why I chose this for Kiryu. But if not, just know this is very much how I view him, which is that he someone with an insanely deep well of emotions, but he would fully prefer to deglove his own hand over ever showing an ounce of vulnerability about that.

The Sun

Gemini: Mutable Air, Ruled by Mercury, Detriment of Jupiter 8th House: Death, taboo, longevity, inheritance, other people’s belongings The Sun: The Sun represents a lot of things in traditional astrology but when trying to understand the person themselves (rather than, say, their relationship to the king of their nation or something) the most important is the mind. The Sun also represents the father so it’s sign, placement, and aspects can tell you about the person’s father and the relationship to him.

In regards to the Sun, “the mind” means the person’s philosophy towards life, not their individual thoughts (which are ruled by Mercury.) This philosophy may or may not match up with a person’s inherent tendencies (which are ruled by the Moon) but it tends to be that when this person feels internally like they are at their best self it would be when they’re embodying their sun.

Gemini being an air sign deals with information and communication as well as relationships between people. Being mutable, Gemini is more comfortable with change than not. Gemini wants to know everything about everything just for the sake of knowing it. Gemini also rules the arms/hands so Gemini placements tend to be people who are always fidgeting with things. Gemini can look at two sides of an argument and have trouble deciding which they agree with as both will end up seeming viable to them. They are students of life and particularly love learning through communicating with the people around them.

Before looking at the fact of the 8th House, I honestly think the entire Pocket Circuit nonsense in Y0 and YK1 are perfect examples of Kiryu being a Gemini. Like it’s a new thing for him to learn and figure out and build with his hands just for the hell of figuring it out and having fun with it. There’s no real goal for him with it beyond that.

With the Sun in the 8th, however, this Gemini propensity for curiosity will go towards 8th House subjects more often than not. For example, anything taboo will be highly interesting to this individual to at least learn about if not experience for themselves. I think this is pretty fitting for someone who joined the yakuza at 17.

With the 8th house being the house of death… many astrologers might say it means death like transformation, not death like permanent death. However, particularly with the Sun in the 8th House, that can be a signification of the father dying early in the person’s life. And that can be literal or figurative (i.e., maybe the father in question isn’t actually dead but he’s estranged or somehow otherwise so uninvolved that he may as well be dead.) We know that Kiryu was raised in the orphanage. This could also be a signification of the father or father figure being involved in business signified by the 8th House, and Kazama was the whole reason he wanted to join the yakuza in the first place.

Moon Square Sun - Squares are difficult aspects. They represent a challenge. With the Moon squaring the Sun, this is literally a case of the heart and the head wanting two different, incompatible things. What the person actually needs and what they want for themselves are not aligned.

Sun Sextile Jupiter, Sun Sextile Saturn - This combination stands out to me. Sextiles are positive aspects that are generally cooperative so the planets work well together. Jupiter is the planet of luck, abundance, expansion, and generosity. Saturn is the planet of boundaries, restrictions, time, and harsh lessons. Having the sun in aspect to both generally is a sign that the person can achieve great things if and ONLY if they put in the work to do so. This isn't someone who will fail their way up to success but basically the work they put in is pretty equal to what they get out of it.

Mercury, Venus, Mars

Alongside the sun, they are all also in Gemini in the 8th House. So basically everything about the sign and house still apply here but these planets differ in their meanings.

Importantly, because these planets are so close to the sun, they would all be considered combust. The Sun, being the brightest star in the sky, can outshine planets that are too close to it. If you're looking at the sky when a planet is too close to the sun, you can't see that planet. A planet being combust basically loses its power in some way or becomes hard for the person to control because, with the planet so close to the sun, it is a part of their ego in a way that they are blind to.

Mercury is the planet of thoughts, communication, speech patterns, etc. In Gemini, it is generally strong as it is in the sign of its rulership, however because its combust it can become problematic. There's a difficulty to make decisions because they don't know what they actually want. They may say one thing but then do the opposite. They'll turn down the invitation to your party and show up anyway or vice versa. This isn't them being dishonest or flaky on purpose so much as they obsess so much about making the wrong or right choice that they can convince themselves of both options being both right and wrong.

Venus is the planet of love and romance, sensuality, femininity, beauty, art, and finances. Gemini Venuses already have a bit of a mish-mashed sense of aesthetic taste and their outfits stand out as being quirky. Add Venus being combust to that and you get Kiryu buying the suit that Nishiki made him try on as a prank.

Romantically, Gemini Venus has a reputation for getting bored fast. This is because regardless of whether a Gemini Venus is attracted to someone physically, if they don't feel mentally stimulated by the person then any spark just won't last. They need a mental challenge and a mental connection. Either their partner needs to be a puzzle for them to hopefully never fully solve or be willing to find puzzles to solve together as a couple, otherwise they're going to find that elsewhere. In the 8th house, Venus can go one of two ways, and given that Kiryu's is combust it probably is the less… socially acceptable way. Here, Venus has a tendency to be attracted to things it shouldn't be (by societal standards) and an appreciation for secrecy and mystery. Also, they are probably kinky af and will try anything at least once. With Venus combust, romance may not be a main focus of the person's life due to other circumstances continually coming up and overshadowing it. Usually these would be Sun-related, so being married to your work even if your work is being a yakuza might get in the way of finding love. That's just a random example which may or may not be relevant to Kiryu.

Moon Square Venus - This is especially important in relationships because the Moon represents the emotional life, what a person needs to feel nurtured, and their instincts. These two planets challenging each other implies, to me, a lack of emotional fulfilment from romantic relationships due to Kiryu's own lack of ability to be truly emotionally vulnerable. Since I am writing Kiryu as bi, I do want to note Venus and the Moon are both planets that signify feminine energy, so this may be especially true of relationships with women moreso than men.

Venus Square Pluto - Pluto is the planet that represents the underworld. Normally this is an aspect that manifests pretty non-literally and is very toxic within the dynamic of the people in the relationship themselves. Kiryu is by no means perfect, but I honestly cannot see him being so possessive and emotionally tyrannical that someone involved with him felt like a figurative hostage, if anything he's probably too hands off due to the everything else going on with him. Therefore, I'm going to say that for Kiryu, this takes on a far more literal meaning than it does in an average person's chart. After all, anyone remotely romantically involved with him would be involved in the criminal underworld of Japan either because they already were or because being connected to Kiryu means they inevitably will be. Also the Pluto connection to death and the 8th house connection to death and the fate of one of his canonical romantic interests feels… far too on the nose but astrology is scarily literal like that sometimes.

Mars is the planet of war, anger, conflict, sexuality, and masculinity. It also has a lot to do with physicality such as what type of workout routine a person likes. Firstly, because I already have written too damn much, for insight on sexuality just reread everything already said about Venus and romance but replace romantic/romance with sexual/sex. In Gemini, Mars (like the other planets) has difficulty with choice. A person may be driven to do too many things at once and can’t really focus on trying to achieve one goal at a time either because they don’t know which they want more or because something external prevents them from picking one over the other. Mars in Gemini will also feel compelled to constantly be doing something just for the sake of being active which can lead to a lot of energy spent spinning wheels and going nowhere fast. Mars combust can be lazy and averse to conflict, but in my opinion, equally ineffective is a Mars that doesn’t know how to pick its battles (i.e., solves every problem with a brawl.) Sometimes, you have to find a way around or over a brick wall because continually running into it will just give you a concussion. Mars combust might not have that figured out. Kiryu sure as hell doesn’t and it's kind of a miracle if he doesn't have CTE.

The Moon

Pisces: Mutable Water, Ruled by Jupiter, Detriment & Fall of Mercury 5th House: Pleasure, leisure, hobbies, children, good fortune, honor, generosity, friendship The Moon: In traditional astrology the Moon rules not only emotions, instincts, and needs but also the physical body. The moon can often represent a mother, mother figure, or more generally, the nurturing feminine energies one encounters in life. Thus, an afflicted moon can signify a lack of a nurturing presence during childhood.

Kiryu’s Moon is, in my opinion, the most fascinating placement in his chart. Pisces Moons come in a lot of different flavors. I’ve known multiple and when it comes to the way they display their emotions it really runs the gamut from highly sensitive will cry at the slightest inconvenience to keeping their emotions to themselves almost entirely and you only know they felt anything at all way later when they bring it up after working through it all internally first. The commonalities between people with this placement are more internal. With the Moon in the mutable water sign this implies a constantly evolving emotional landscape. Pisces is ruled by Jupiter, a benefic, so in general this doesn’t mean emotionally being on a sailboat in a hurricane unless other things in the chart imply that. It’s just that everything becomes an experience affecting the direction of their emotional current and they aren't always in control of that.

Pisces absorbs as much as it reflects. When you’re in the water there is no solid barriers. So Pisces Moons are empathetic in the truest sense of the word. They feel what the people around them feel. They feel what the characters in the books they’re reading feel. And, often, they cannot separate their own emotions from these other emotions. So it can be hard for them to articulate their feelings, because which of the things that they’re feeling belong to them? Because of this they often don’t always know in the moment, so they may only figure out which feelings are their own feelings in hindsight.

With the Moon in a Jupiter-ruled sign, to me this is a huge example of Kiryu’s ability to put other people’s needs before his own (sometimes without their input, sure, but y’know.) Jupiter is a very generous planet. Like this and children being represented by the 5th house? Him running an orphanage makes almost too much sense.

Moon Square Mercury - indicates that there is a choice that has to be made between what one thinks is best and what one feels is best. This can also perhaps indicate an inability to communicate in a way that accurately expresses one’s emotions. Like even if the person tries to communicate their feelings it doesn’t verbally translate in a way that paints an accurate picture of the emotions they’re feeling, which can in turn lead to further internal and external conflict.

Moon Square Mars - indicates an inability to control ones emotions and particularly anger, or the person may come off as angry when internally the emotion they’re experiencing is entirely different.

Moon Opposite Pluto - almost always an indicator of major trauma, especially trauma experienced in childhood. With the Moon this is often a mother wound and Pluto being the underworld and death could just signify the trauma was his mother dying. In the case of Kiryu, given that he was raised in the orphanage, this indicates to me that no one ever really filled that role for him. There is a power struggle between himself and his own emotional needs because he was never emotionally nurtured by the adults around him so he never learned how to deal with his emotions in a healthy way. In Kiryu’s case this is perhaps the core reason why he simply buries his emotions and doesn’t acknowledge them.

Moon Opposite Uranus - a struggle between the need for change and independence and the need to be nurtured. This can lead to conflict, particularly with loved ones. In particular, the Moon opposite Uranus person will make radical decisions that have major consequences seemingly out of nowhere and without input from those close to them even when the decisions affect others. There is a tendency to feel alienated from others and as if they don’t really fully belong anywhere. Ironically, almost the only way to keep someone with this aspect close is to hold them at an emotional arms’ length.

Conclusion

Kiryu is a man of many contradictions and even more Gemini placements. At his core, he has a bleeding heart, and that’s true particularly for those closest to him. He is, in fact, nearly incapable of expressing this verbally or in a way that would make sense to normal people in large part because he doesn’t quite fully understand what he’s feeling himself, but that doesn’t mean he’s not feeling it.

Hi angels, this is a brand new character to me, but I'm really excited to play her and see where things go! Below is some info on her.

Full name: Selah Elizabeth Stevens. (Pronounced like Say-la.) She was named after her grandmother.

Birthday: September 8th. (She's 19 yrs old turning 20.)

Occupation: AEW glamsquad - she works as a hairstylist. She's only had this job for a very short time. So she wouldn't know a whole lot of people yet.

Currently Resides in: Jacksonville, FL

Selah Elizabeth Stevens was born in California, to her two very wealthy parents. She grew up with the ideal childhood and ideal life most would say. Her parents were loving, she grew up in a great neighborhood, and she was the poster child for every early 2000's teen movie - she was the popular girl. The pretty one. A cheerleader, good in school, she had a lot of friends but something more was still missing from her life and she always felt it - that feeling in the pit of her stomach. That aching for something more, she just didn't know what it was until she met him. In the hallway of the school, he was sitting on the stairs trying to finish way too much homework but she knew the moment she locked eyes with him, that she was in trouble. She wouldn't be able to resist him and she was right. The two were young and in love, call it toxic, call it immature, she just called it being in love and it was all she'd ever known. All she ever wanted to know. The two are broken off as of now, which has been a difficult thing for her to navigate in her life. She's very young and hasn't dated anyone since and doesn't really want to either. Though, she'd never admit that to him or anyone else. After finishing cosmetology school and graduating, she found herself looking for a job and just so happened to find one with a wrestling company by the name of All Elite Wrestling. She's only been employed for a few weeks, so she's definitely still finding her way and trying to find out how all of the chaos and craziness is supposed to work.

Connections:

( Ex boyfriend/ first love. -> taken @rlevine). This is the boy that Selah met when she was in high school and has been madly in love with all these years. A very immature, sometimes toxic, young love between the two but meeting him changed her life for the better and she still loves him very much. Though she does her best to pretend otherwise, afraid of rejection or fear of losing him altogether. The pair work together in AEW and remain a friendship that sometimes blurs the lines.

(Best friend(s) -> Open.) This plot is pretty self explanatory, she'd love to be friends with literallyyy anyone. She's new to the job, so she needs all the friends she can get. She's shy at first but once you get to know Selah, she's a true ride or die that would never leave your side!

(A mentor -> Open.) I'd REALLY love for her to have someone that she could consider a mentor or even a big brother / big sister type that would be willing to look out for her and protect her, while also showing her how the business works and just teaching her basic life stuff. As I plan on and have started to expand beyond NuWho, I have been doing research. The EU content plus Classic Who is absolutely daunting and messy so I want to find a way to streamline it for my sake. I already am listening to 8th’s audios and been jumping around in ClassicWho (not completely disordered, there’s a method in madness).

I desire to streamline the process as while I do accept all EU content as canon, I don’t want to be ranking all of this content when ranking Doctor Who stories. Thus, after thinking hard, I have decided to include the audios of 6, 7 and 8 as part of my main continuity created out of convenience.

I include Big Finish and not written media because of how firstly, I can’t really get access to written stuff. Next, Big Finish is the closest thing to a television episode in EU and these three doctors are voiced by their actual actors.

While I will listen to other Big Finish audios eventually, these 3 are the main ones I will focus on and treat them as primary canon for various reasons:

The situation in how Colin Baker was let off plus the immense production issues due to the studio execs would lead to a rather unfair assessment of 6th. Thus, I’m unwilling to judge the merit of the 6th Doctor based on the show alone.

For the Seventh Doctor, I justify his inclusion due to the irresolution of Classic Who. Beyond the movie, I am aware that the show ends inconclusively due to behind the scenes shenanigans and thus I believe that I can determine his run as incomplete.

For the Eighth Doctor, it is pretty self explanatory, his one night tenure and a short film justify using Big Finish to create an era for him. Especially since Night Of The Doctor considers his companions up to Molly as canon.

However, as there are also many stories for each which I’m not pressured to listened to all. I will limit myself and focus on the following:

The Sixth Doctor stand alones (applies to those that I listen too), Sixth’s adventures with Evelyn Smythe, Season 23, his adventures with Charley, the proper departure for 6th and possibly Peri and The Piscon Paradox

The Seventh Doctor’s stand alones (same rules as 6th), his adventures with Ace and Hex, Doctor Klein and possibly Love and War

For the Eighth Doctor, Eight and Charley, Eight and Lucie (Up til To The Death) and Eight with Molly (may take a while to get to)

If you have any recommendations (if you’re reading this), do let me know! Because it’s not that I’m not going to listen to other audios if I have the chance, I’m just trying to make it easier for myself by focusing on a select few first. So yes, in any companion ranking throughout all of Doctor Who, I will include Hex, Evelyn, Charley, Lucie, C’Rizz, Tasmin, Liv (up til the end of Sullivan’s run), Molly and Dr Klein.

On the subject of other Doctors, I will explain that:

I’m not including BF for 1-4 because their tenures were at least not fucked over. This in particular applies to 4 because Baker has had like 7 seasons, he doesn’t need a fighting chance.

I was tempted to include 5 but I went against this because Davidson did leave on his own accord. However, his audios will be next after I finish my “main timeline.” Though Spare Parts I will listen soon (but not include it in any rankings beyond Big Finish rankings)

9 is actually pending review due to his turbulent relationship behind the scenes. While his case is more open, there’s also room to deny the need for BF due to the manner in which Series 1 was written. Another reason to deny BF for now is because he has a less “formed” BF era due to his recent entry.

10 should be self explanatory and if you ask more questions, I will legitimately have no words for you. However, if I have the time and money by the end of this, I would love to listen to the Donna Noble and 10 adventures and The Timelord Victorious Event in full.

11-12 for very obvious reasons, especially since Smith and Capaldi haven’t signed on and have very cohesive runs.

13 would be under review because of how Covid Productions messed up Flux’s production. However, she has no BF content as of now and even if she manages to develop a cohesive run in BF, only stuff which is directly related to Flux or scrapped stuff due to the production will be considered here.

For companion adventures, probably only Peri and The Piscon Paradox will be included as it ties back to 6th. Other companions like River, Leela, Missy while I’m interested in, will be put on hold until I complete the central runs.

For other relevant companions in BF such as Flip and Constance, I chose Evelyn because of the arc’s ties to Hex but also how she was the first one designed for it all if I’m not mistaken. And the Liv Chenka stuff will not be included beyond Molly Sullivan due to the necessity to streamline.

Time War, War Master stuff may be included in the future but as I’d like to limit myself so that I don’t go broke for now, will be excluded.

Similarly, they could attract partners that bring this type of instability or there’s some home-wrecker energy

North Node in Natal/Juno - This is gonna be a little difficult to explain. So ima try to keep this simple. Let's say you are in a relationship, First, go to you and your partners synastry chart. Next look for your NN, what house is it in, in their chart?? Next, go to their Juno Persona Chart, is their NN in that same house? Next do it vice versa but with your chart. If it's in the house that their NN was in, in the synastry chart, then this can be a indication of commitment/marriage

(EX with random names - Josh's NN is in Lily's 8th house in the synastry chart. In Josh's Juno Persona Chart, he has his NN in the 8th house. Next, Lily's NN is in Josh's 3rd in the synastry chart. Lily's NN is in the 3rd house of her Juno Persona Chart)

Venus/Juno aspects - sensuality/love/romance connected with marriage? Yes. Unless other aspects prove to hit this aspect, this is a well placed sign

Chiron conjunct Angles - Triggers for Chiron. Wounds will be pretty easily triggered or seen. Especially if it's in aspect with AC. Could however be a slight karmic placement however this shows more growth and this relationship will have a lot of healing aspects about it

Moon same degree - dunno why just saw it is all 🤷‍♀️

Planets aspect a person's ascendant - really intense attraction. Venus can be more of a love at first sight thing sometimes. Planets here indicate something major must be in the cards. Something is intensely noticed/felt in the relationship. Big placement for change and magnetism!

5th house overlapping planets/placements/aspects - Big love, attraction, fun placement for things as such. However I've also seen this cause a quickly sparked marriage (coUgH too quick CoUgH 🤡) and so they got divorced. Alivebur Didn’t Despise Fundy For No Reason

I’m gonna present you with a set of quotes which show why Alivebur despising Fundy, even after he reveals he’s a spy, makes a lotttt of sense, giving all the context.

It starts here:

“My son… My son is tearing down the walls, in front of me! My son is tearing down the walls in front of me! The walls I built to keep him safe! I promised him this world, Tommy, I promised him this world.” - (Wilbur’s the election results: 39:41 22nd Sep)

When Fundy stays in Manberg, tearing down the walls. Now, this quote may have not started Alivebur hating Fundy, but it contributes to it further down the line.

Then we have this:

“Wilbur is just a founder, and I was born here and nothing else. That’s literally everything there is to it.” (Fundy)

“But you know that’s not...” (Alivebur)

- (Wilbur’s techno and wilbur make cave better: 58:20, 23rd Sep)

This, this moment, the moment Fundy disowns Alivebur, this is when it really starts. It hurts Alivebur deeply, and we know this because he’s quiet for half a minute, saying after:

“I don’t know who you are anymore, Fundy. I don’t know who you are anymore...” - (Wilbur’s techno and wilbur make cave better: 59:08, 23rd Sep)

He then leaves the call, saying that he can’t be there anymore. And I think this line ^ really shows where he’s at. He begins to realise that Fundy has changed, and that matters for what he says later on.

Especially when he talks about distrusting people:

“And then we’ve got like Fundy who’s like saying to everyone’s twitch chats that he’s gonna revolt against us.” - (Wilbur’s video Am I the Villain?: 18:09)

This one is pretty self explanatory, he doesn’t trust Fundy at all. 

But I found this heart-breaking quote the other day and... guys? Read it all the way through, hell, watch it, because the way Alivebur says this line... it hurts:

“Fundy, Fundy is very clearly on Schlatt’s side, look- Fundy was the closest thing I had to something I cared about in L’Manberg, when it all began. You know, when it started, the closest thing to anything I cared about was Fundy. Fundy was my, he was my, he was my boy! My rock! You know? And hearing what he said about L’Manberg and stuff is just… And when I heard him say that he had no care for me, I believe that. I think he’s so happy that he’s finally been given maturity in L’Manberg, you know. Like, Schlatt’s giving him the maturity he’s been craving, you know. And that’s cool. That’s fine. You know? I have no issue with that, he can do what he wants.” - (Wilbur’s who are you go away: 1:44:10, 8th Oct)

This reveals a lot that I don’t think we credit to Alivebur. Fundy was what he cared about in L’Manberg. He’s saying this to himself, in one of his darkest moments, while trying to make sure a horse is safe. 

So, I think it’s safe to say this quote is 100% true. Not only does it show that Fundy was what Alivebur cared about most of all, but it shows why Fundy ‘turning on’ him and ‘disowning’ him, would break Alivebur.

Because he cared about Fundy that much, more than L’Manberg itself. And he’s self-aware about it too, he knows why Fundy would be on Schlatt’s side (even if it’s not 100% true), and he completely believes Fundy has no care for him.

And even though Alivebur says it’s fine, that he’s cool with it, you can hear in his voice that it’s hurting him...

Then we have this quote:

“Fundy, I despise you, you were my son and you just betrayed me. I have nothing to say to you.” (Wilbur’s The Meeting: Nov 6th, 35:55)

The quote. This one. I know why most would look at this and automatically label Alivebur a bad father because of it, but with everything in mind, with all the above quotes, Fundy revealing himself to be a spy isn’t going to fix all the hurt he caused Alivebur.

Which is why when we’re all analysing the Fundy and Alivebur relationship, these quotes and feelings have to be taken into account, because Alivebur despising Fundy is 100% understandable. 

It’s all just very tragic,,, and it hurts.

Okay so my buddy Vin forced me to make a servant tier-list for fgo but it took me like almost an hour so honestly I just feel obligated to post it here too with all the explanations for the different tiers so.

Here's a brief rundown of all the tiers and what they mean:

First, this isn't an F to EX-type tier list where it's linearly showing which servants I like more than others necessarily, I sort of tried to organize them like that but still

Second, this was honestly all made very jokingly and not very seriously, I don't think you suck or are stupid if you don't like a servant I like or vice versa, all of you are valid (except if you like Himiko >:3)

1st, Queens (and King) are like my unambiguous favorites, whether it be design or personality these are my top servants and are my #1's

2nd, Servants I see myself summoning are all like ones I could genuinely head cannon myself summoning or allying with in a hypothetical holy grail war or I could just probably vibe with, but I also made this tier honestly to separate them from like my #1 faves

3rd, God I wish that was me are the servants who have aspects that I wish I could emulate in some fashion in my own life whether it be looks, personality, skills, etc.

4th, I see myself in this picture is mostly me shitposting but also just me being somewhat self-deprecating towards myself, I could feel any way about these servants

5th, You're one of my friend's faves is pretty self-explanatory (please tell me if you see yourselves here guys) though it contains such a wide variation of servants from ones I adore to ones I abhor that it was also kind of a gimmie (I made that tier to cut myself some slack since you can only have so many tiers on that website)

6th, My identity has been stolen are all the alters and was also kind of a crapshoot, feel free to ask me on those I have varying feelings on them

7th, Debating contains servants who I find personally very easy to make fun of or tease but who are maybe also personally endearing in some fashion (I don't think you're stupid if you like them, I actually like most of these ones)

8th, Porn is, well. porn. but it also contains a wide variety of servants who I have wildly different opinions on

9th, Baby you're on thin ice are servants whose designs (mostly the children or the ones coded as children) I find objectionable or detract from their likability even though I do like a fair number of them in all honesty

Or they're Achilles

10th, and finally, Shoot Myself are servants I would just rather not be within a hundred yards around and would rather just lose us both the holy grail war possibly out of spite through some stupid means, I actually sort of just have feelings of ambivalence towards most of these guys

this isn’t something i’ve talked about on my blog yet, but since the campaign has begun drawing to a close, i want to make sure i say my piece on the popular theory that bren/caleb was institutionalized because trent ikithon feebleminded him to disable him.

my piece being that it’s exceptionally unlikely he did—at least as a premeditated plan. this kind of theory also falls prey to the exact beliefs ikithon has tried to exploit in caleb.

for our mutual reference, i’ll quote the spell description of feeblemind.

FEEBLEMIND (PHB) 8th level enchantment

Casting time: 1 action Range: 150 feet Components: VSM (a handful of clay, crystal, glass, or mineral spheres) Duration: Instantaneous

You blast the mind of a creature that you can see within range, attempting to shatter its intellect and personality. The target takes 4d6 psychic damage and must make an Intelligence saving throw.

On a failed save, the creature’s Intelligence and Charisma scores become 1. The creature can’t cast spells, activate magic items, understand language, or communicate in any intelligible way. The creature can, however, identify its friends, follow them, and even protect them.

At the end of every 30 days, the creature can repeat its saving throw against this spell. If it succeeds on its saving throw, the spell ends. The spell can also be ended by Greater Restoration, Heal, or Wish.

considering the characteristics described and implied by actors other than ikithon—caleb and astrid prominently—who are not motivated to deceive on ikithon’s behalf, feeblemind is not consistent with caleb’s mental break.

fact the first: when bren broke, he became violent and spellcasted.

when astrid describes the circumstances in which he was taken to the vergessen sanatorium (e89, 1:49:30), she refers to his lashing out as “creat[ing] a lot of sparks everywhere else” and rubs at burn scars across her neck. she says that they had to subdue him because he was too dangerous. all of these statements add up to a bren who was viciously spellcasting at his friends and mentor when he broke down.

this wouldn’t have been possible if he’d been feebleminded. feeblemind explicitly prevents the affected creature from casting spells or activating magic items. in that scenario, the only thing bren would’ve been capable of is throwing hands. from him? not very dangerous at all.

how do we know astrid wasn’t lying or intentionally deceptive? because she (and eadwulf) still cares so much for caleb that she risked her life multiple times to aid him. no one who would give caleb a map to a secret volstrucker vault with her own handwriting on it (e127, 29:29; and 30:57)—or intentionally fail to counterspell him when ikithon could’ve seen her do so—would lie to caleb about ikithon attempting to permanently feeblemind him if she knew.

to preempt the idea that astrid had set the m9 up: it’s very obvious she didn’t, since trent ikithon had clearly had no forewarning of a break-in. he would’ve at least been waiting in the vault, already prepared to subdue them quickly, if he’d known.

so it’s fair to determine that astrid would either be honest to the extent of her knowledge to caleb or make it clear that she couldn’t answer him. since she didn’t imply the latter, we can assume she was being honest. and because of astrid’s competence, it’s highly probable she would’ve noticed if his behavior was symptomatic of feeblemind over the years.

fact the second: bren’s mental condition repeatedly improved and regressed while he was institutionalized.

astrid states this in the same conversation about their subduing him after his breakdown (e89, 1:50:50). considering this with the context of their romantic relationship prior to his breakdown, her genuine care for him, and her rise to power that included accompanying ikithon frequently to the sanatorium (e127, 31:07)—astrid would’ve had the motivation and the opportunities to visit bren in person. she could’ve also kept well-abreast of his condition.

actual times of improvement and decline in the mental state that astrid first observed during his breakdown wouldn’t be consistent with feeblemind. although it reduces the victim’s intelligence score to 1, they still retain thought and their sense of identity without problems.

this is a maintenance of consistency and (relative) reason. feeblemind does not actually damage a person’s basic perception of reality. but the health of bren’s behavior throughout the years was instead very unstable.

fact the third: caleb doesn’t remember anything from the burning of his home up to his healing by the unknown cleric.

in the conversation with astrid in e89, he asks her what happened when he broke and explicitly says, “the last thing i remember is my home” (1:46:58). when he first tells beau and nott about his past, he explains that he doesn’t remember much of what happened to him there (e18, 2:51:54).

beyond the reduction to their intelligence, feeblemind doesn’t affect the victim’s ability to form memories. caleb’s keen mind feat and established narrative element of his eidetic memory would’ve still been present as well. therefore, feeblemind alone can’t explain such a significant, near-empty gap in his memory. he would still remember something.

even the possibility of trent ikithon altering them directly is precluded by the fact that the cleric’s healing removed the alterations to caleb’s memory. if all those years had been magically blocked away, they’d have returned when he was healed of everything else.

fact the fourth: sometimes, people really do just break.

nothing about caleb’s backstory is inconsistent with just... being a person living their life, even a terrible one. he was a young man that believed so zealously in his country and his purpose, abused by a powerful older man, that he did many horrible things and believed they were right. until finally he did something that he couldn’t process and broke down.

there’s two reoccurring, underlying assumptions i’ve noticed behind why this theory seems to be so compelling and popular:

caleb just seems so remorseful and traumatized by his double patricide. there’s no way he would’ve willingly murdered his parents. ikithon must have known and decided to preempt his inevitable betrayal.

everything we know about bren, especially from the horse’s own mouth, suggests that he had been willing (at least up until his mental break) to murder his parents. he was literally an extreme nationalist—a fascist, if you will. he was lawful evil (twitter source). he gratefully executed many “criminals” put in front of him, more than likely by burning them to death based on his ptsd. victims whom we now understand may not have been guilty of anything at all.

he was glad to do what he thought was best for the dwendalian empire, and he truly thought being volstrucker was the correct path. trent ikithon, his abuser, treated him as his favorite (e110, 3:30:58). because he believed.

that fervent faith, in fact, is the key to something like his breakdown in the first place. hearing the dying screams of his parents, bren was forced to confront a violent dissonance between his radical beliefs that condemned traitors (as he believed until the cleric’s healing) and the intuitive horror of murdering his parents that he couldn’t reconcile. this fathomless sense of betrayal is why caleb so deeply despised ikithon and himself.

a young evocation wizard who didn’t want his parents dead would’ve run into that burning house, feebleminded or not. someone magically compelled to set that fire would’ve understood what happened as soon as the charm left him and would definitely remember every detail once the cleric healed him.

caleb is remorseful and traumatized because he willingly murdered his parents. as well as many others.

it can’t be that simple. caleb was institutionalized for eleven years just because his abuser pushed him too far? there must be a more nefarious reason. ikithon even said he basically stored him for later.

putting aside the fact that bren having a breakdown in the way he did makes complete sense for his situation, ikithon’s “claim” that he orchestrated all of caleb’s subsequent years is not only something he never actually says (e110, 3:16:34)—it is a claim that’s patently absurd.

i’ve written meta that discusses this in the past (link here). essentially though, the number of moving pieces and assumptions that would be needed for such a series of events is ridiculously improbable. even assuming that ikithon feebleminded him—so that caleb’s mind would be intact when he ‘woke up’—even assuming that ikithon somehow procured the service of a cleric of the archeart—a banned deity in the empire that would oppose ikithon...

why in the world would he ever reasonably believe that caleb widogast, the man he viciously betrayed and lied to and abused, would do anything to benefit ikithon?

trent ikithon is a mortal man. he has power, yes; enchantment magic, authority, and a history of abuse and manipulation over caleb’s head, yes. but ikithon is a mortal man. not a puppeteer in the sky piloting people’s bodies.

he certainly wouldn’t have led caleb to a whole new family that would change everything about his life for the better. a family that would love him, truly—a family that would help him heal, bear the weight of his guilt, and find a real future waiting for him again instead of a self-destructive end. a family that would fight tooth and nail for caleb’s sake against ikithon.

abusers lie. their biggest lie, the one they always circle back to in the end, is that their victim is unique: that there is something which makes them deserving of abuse, and that their abuser is both right and inescapable.

ikithon is read as honest because he chooses his words carefully and has the self-confidence to believe it. everything he’s claimed about caleb and his past have either been implications that he encouraged others to reach for him or platitudes empty of everything except gaslighting intent.

caleb has escaped. and everything ikithon wants is to convince caleb and his friends that he continues to control caleb’s life, that caleb is special, so he can regain some influence over a man who’s come to command so much power.

the idea that caleb must’ve been feebleminded—that he couldn’t have just had a mental breakdown like so many other prospective volstrucker before miraculously, then strenuously, recovering to create a hopeful future for himself—falls into the trap of validating ikithon’s lies.

trent ikithon didn’t see and believe in caleb’s ‘full potential’ before anyone else did. he didn’t foresee a single ounce of the man’s struggle to put himself back together after what he suffered. caleb was not institutionalized to serve as a toy to one day pull back out of the closet. there was no feeblemind or other secretive plan that could only serve to obfuscate the brutal truth:

ikithon abused a boy until he shattered, and tried to hide the evidence. a crime that he’s committed against countless other children. plain and simple.

so that’s my piece.

caleb widogast—bren ermendrud—was not the victim of a premeditated feeblemind from ikithon, based on the mechanics of the spell. even more importantly, the narrative of his and ikithon’s stories would suffer if he was.

now,

A LOGICAL POSSIBILITY I WON’T DENY.

what if ikithon feebleminded him as a method to subdue him after the breakdown?

this is more or less an alternate theory that’s irrelevant to the points i actually wanted to make. but i want to talk about it anyway because it’s kind of fun.

fact the bonus: bren spent eleven years in the sanatorium.

eleven years is a long time. he would’ve been able to save every 30 days after the initial failed save. the exandrian calendar has about eleven 30-day periods every year. assuming a feeblemind spell cast on him just prior to his institutionalization, that’s somewhere around 121 possible save attempts, give or take a few.

what’s the likelihood of him actually saving? to go through the mechanics:

normally, feeblemind reduces a person’s intelligence score to 1, modifier -5. caleb, as a variant human, possessed the feat keen mind from the beginning both mechanically and story-wise. this would make his intelligence score 2, modifier -4, even after feeblemind.

as a level 1-2 wizard, he would’ve had proficiency in intelligence saves. this would be +2 to his save.

in total, the modifier to bren’s intelligence saves would be -2.

in order to cast feeblemind, trent ikithon would have to have been a minimum level 15 wizard. this leaves two possible proficiency bonuses to determine his spell save dc: +5 or +6.

it’s probably safe to assume that his intelligence score is at least 18–20, likely 20. this would be a modifier of +4 or +5. (his intelligence could be 22+ if matt wanted to be a real dick, but let’s assume otherwise.)

spell save dc = 8 + spellcasting score mod (for wizards, this is intelligence) + proficiency bonus.

this means trent ikithon’s possible spell save dc is somewhere from 17–19.

therefore:

at minimum—17 being ikithon as a level 15–16 wizard with an intelligence score of 18–19 at the time of casting—bren would have to roll a 19 or nat 20 to make the save with his -2 save modifier.

at a dc of 18—ikithon either being level 17–20 or having an intelligence score of 20, but not both—bren would have to roll a nat 20.

at a dc of 19(+), it would be impossible for bren to save without additional bonuses such as bless.

i don’t have the brainpower to calculate some real statistical probabilities, but depending on your opinion of trent ikithon’s probable capabilities at the time of bren’s mental break, he may have been able to save against feeblemind sometime during the eleven years he spent at the sanatorium.

naturally, this has the earlier-mentioned conundrum of remembering that return of clarity once he was healed by the cleric, should ikithon have been retrieved to recast the feeblemind and altered his memories. nevertheless, it may or may not be a fun thought to play around with.

Loves his brothers but also hates them

Has been driven past the brink of insanity and is just calm about everything

He will disappear for hours and come back like nothing happened

He still messes with Jack but he's less harmful and more annoying

He likes messing with his brothers. (cough cough Jamie cough Schneep cough) When he isn't he's probably rearranging his room for the 8th time.

He LOVES the color black and will not wear other colors 99% of the time.

He's in the 7th grade and picks fights with high schoolers (he usually wins)

He gets suspended ALL the time

Jack got him a turtle as a joke and Anti ended up actually liking it until it died due to 'unknown reasons'

Purple hair, for aesthetic purposes

He babysits the 3 youngest sometimes while Jack is filming, he's surprisingly good (when he isn't tormenting them)

Him and Jackie fight a lot

Did I mention he gets in trouble often?

Jackie

He helps Jack as much as he can, doing chores, cook food, get groceries, feed JJ, and do the laundry

He is still a pain sometimes

He can get pretty competitive with Marvin sometimes since Marvin swears he can beat Jackie at anything

He usually ends up breaking something during the competitions and gets in big trouble for it

Brown hair

Once he figures out how to properly use all of his powers, its over for you and anyone in a 50 mile vicinity

Schneep is his favorite brother. PERIOD.  Hurt him and you won’t live to see the next minute.

He may not be good at writing essays but he can kick your butt

Marvin

He is magic and will yeet hurl you into the sun

He may only be 10, but he’s strangely good at makeup

He will wear ‘girl’ clothes if he wants to

He is bad at math and loves Lana Del Ray ;)

He constantly ‘fights’ Jackie because one day he’ll beat him

Anti and him gossips about the people in their schools, including teachers

Him and Anti are like ✨🧚🏻‍♀️Besties🌹💖

He probably started the fairy comments trend

Long, flowing, light green hair with 【✨Ｓｐａｒｋｌｅｓ✨】

He has a black cape, a dark blue cape that says MARVIN in big light blue letters, and a pride cape for pride month

Henrik 

He doesn’t have ADHD, honest

DO NOT let him do a ‘surgery’ on you or else you’ll end up like the turtle

is claustrophibic and will scream if you leave him in a small room by his self

Doesn’t like JJ for some reason

He does ‘surgery’ on JJ’s stuff animals and purposely ‘kills’ them just to make JJ cry

Is blind without his glasses and stumbles over everything trying to find them

Has a doctor coat from halloween that he still wears to this day 

Loves the movie Lion King

Is the result of an affair that their mom had with some german guy on vacation... so

The dad wasn’t there for his birth, out of jealousy

Has locked himself in a room accidentally on multiple occasions

Chase

He knows that he is Jack's favorite but he won't say anything

Can't tie his shoes and gets upset that he's the only kindergartner that can't

Will cry if he trips

You will need earmuffs if he does start crying because it's loud

He loves JJ and will protect him with every fiber in his being

He got 'married' to another little kid named (you guessed it) Stacy when he was 4, but then she moved so now he's sad

When JJ was born, Chase despised him for 'taking their parents away' but he eventually got over it and was instantly attached to JJ

Also loves nerf guns

He can *definitely* cook

He also loves to hang out with Schneep but will probs get in trouble for doing something chaotic

Has brown hair with some beige spot because he AcCiDeNtAlLy spilling bleach in his hair

Jameson Jackson

Is tiny

Was born prematurely so now he is tiny and can't talk

Won't cry but his sad face will make anyone feel guilty

Will stare a hole through your head

Is so silent, it's creepy

Loves the game hide and seek so much that'll he'll play it even when the others don't want to
