oh, anon, that's an interesting question! well, let's consider the time period, fashion and nick's personality!

men's fashion in the 50s was a lot more colourful than people first assume! there was a big push towards informality; bright colours, chunky patterns, increasing options in casual clothing.

so nick is, god love him, kind of uptight. he's got the personality of a pre-war cop. he's an awkward 50s guy. you know he's out here calling weed reefer. and not to say that he'd never wear anything like that, more that he doesn't strike me as a hawaiian shirt and slacks type of guy. even if he's way older now on account of the mechanical body, nick has got the vibes of a middle-aged man. strong 35-45 energy, so i don't think he's gonna be dressing like james dean. okay, well, what does an uptight middle-aged man wear in the 50s? i think the answer is a pretty plain button-up shirt and some slacks. maybe some moccasins on a really fancy day

II made Sweater Weather ( by the lovely @lumosinlove) if it was a Netflix show! Its a little rough looking but this is what i get for making it at 4am.
