——————————————————————————-
Jeonghan is the ceo of a big tech company and he is also your boss. He’s known for being quite the playboy and turns down every engagement proposals.
Every friday he’ll go on a date to meet another women who he’ll reject because he doesn’t want to be tied down yet.
as his assistant you know everything about him so on friday night he said “darling i’ll be out again on a..meeting” you sigh with disappointment “Mr. Yoon can’t you meet a nice girl and please your grandfather? also stop calling me darling, it won’t help you getting a wife anytime soon” he grins and says “what if i married you?”
he does this every time he’ll say something sly to cover up his issue. usually you’ll brush it off but instead you played into his game “hmm maybe you should and then you’ll stop going on those horrible dates” you reply back handing him his brief case. there was an awkward pause for a bit like as if he was actually think about your proposal. “anyways you should leave, you shouldn’t make a girl wait” you say shooing him out the door and into his car.
you’re still back at the office working on some of the files Jeonghan asked you to over look. it’s tiring looking after him but he does have a soft side to him many other people doesn’t see expect you, which makes you love him.
you look at the clock waiting for him to come back. Jeonghan comes into the office fully drenched in water, his long hair is slightly messy, you can see his abs through his wet button up, and he looks mad but in a hot way. “oh my- wha-“ you say before you can make out a sentence he said “zip it. listen as soon as i rejected her she spilled water all over my clothes and then i had to wait for the chauffeur in the rain” he said frustrated. you quickly grab a towel and start drying him off “well that’s what you get for rejecting a girl flat out on the 1st date” jeonghan snaps “what? do you actually want me to get married” you pause “if that’s what you want sure” he grabs you wrists and looks you dead in the eyes. “you’re telling me that you never had feelings for me?” you couldn’t look him straight in the eyes and lie to him. “stop playing games with me Mr. Yoon”. he lets go of your wrist and looked disappointed. “you can leave it’s getting late and it’s pouring rain outside” he says. you say thank you and grab your things quickly. as your making your way out of the door he says “i expect an answer from you, by next Friday” you scoff and walk away. he’s always been teasing you but this time it felt different.
Next Thursday your sitting on your disk filling paper work for Jeonghan. Lately you guys have been weirdly normal even though you guys did have some sexual tension between each other. “Oh y/n there you are” Jeonghan says coming into your cubicle. “do you need anything Mr. Yoon?” you ask “actually yes, can you clear this friday off? i’m planning to have that 2nd date with the girl last friday”.
you accidentally choke on your coffee “you mean the same girl who spilled water all over you?” “well..yes i’ve given it some thought and you were right i should settle down”. you were furious, angry didn’t describe how you felt in that moment. you acted oblivious as if you didn’t care but deep inside you did care. it wasn’t like he was going on another date with a different girl, no! it was the same girl from last time. “hm- okay i’ll do that for you Mr. Yoon” you say putting on your best smile. “great”.
Friday roles around and you’re praying that Jeonghan doesn’t go through with the date. “Y/n which tie looks better? the blue or purple” he asks holding up 2 ties and comparing them. “hm..i think the purple one, it suits you” you reply back not really paying attention. Jeonghan catches on “y/n this is important which tie? be honest” you sigh and grab one of the ties. you start tying the blue one on him “on 2nd thought this one suits you” he says “thank you y/n do you think that she would like it?” you accidentally tie the tie too tight which causes him to choke a little. “sure she will love it” you say giving him a half ass grin.
Jeonghan leans over you and says “are you jealous?” you guys make direct eye contact. it feels like even if you lie he’ll see right through you. you can feel his breath on your skin, his eyes softly looking at you begging for a yes, his hands on your waist. you gulp “no- i mean yes i-“ before you can make out a sentence he kisses you.
his tongue against your tongue and his grip became even tighter on your waist. you pull your head back for air but he grabs you on the back of the head with his hand to kiss him again. you guys make your way to his office table. You can feel his cock against your cunt through his pants. “Mr. Yoon we- shouldn’t” you say breathlessly.
Jeonghan starts kissing you on your neck to your thighs. sliding your panties to the sides and inserting his 2 fingers into your wet cunt “that’s not what your eyes are telling me” he says. that bastard how sly can he be. “oh yeah? you think your so great?” you say boldly. “hm..i would say so..plus your insides are telling me you think so as well” jeonghan says into your ear. jeonghan is hitting every spot making you like putty in his hands. he starts swirling his thumb on your clit. “Hm- Mr. Yoo..n uh right there!” you moan. as Jeonghan is playing with your cunt he’s also kissing your boobs and fondling them. “darling you’re gonna make a mess on the table” you moan “please put it in Mr. Yoon i’m so cl-ose” a sudden rush of pleasure fills your body and tears drip down your face. “it’s Jeonghan and your right, you don’t deserve to cum yet” he pulls out his fingers as soon as you were gonna finish. Jeonghan lifts one of your legs and you start unbuckling his pants. “oh this slut is hungry hm?” you reply “yes only for you”. Jeonghan smirks and inserts his tip. Even with the tip he was too big for you. he brushes through your hair comforting you that you can take him.
he completely bottoms you out and he starts moving. He’s going in deep and fast, slapping you ass around. “you like that don’t you? hm? my little slut” he says while pumping you with his cock and sucking your tittie. “hmMm” you try to reply back but you can’t. the pleasure was too good that you couldn’t form a complete sentence. “you don’t need to say anything”. Jeonghan turns you around and starts hitting from the back. your whole chest is on the table and your ass up in the air. “put your ass up even more” Jeonghan commands slapping you ass a little bit. you groan “Jeonghan i’m close!” “that’s okay just cum my darling” Jeonghan starts fondling with you tits and pumping you even faster. He’s going in so deep that you can feel his cock inside your stomach. Jeonghan grabs your too arms to go even deeper. “uh-uh right there!“ you moan “just cum darling, i can only make you feel this way” Jeonghan says. your legs were shaking from all the pleasure, your eyes rolling back, and you cried out his name while you came. “i’m gonna make sure you won’t be able to walk tomorrow” Jeonghan says smiling at you while your whole makeup and mascara was dripping down your face.

accidental drunk confessions ~ matthew lillard

@shinichirosanos
“Can you do a Matthew Lillard x female actress reader imagine where everyone kinda assumes they're dating and maybe they're at the Scream 1996 premiere and during interviews they constantly get questions about what their relationship is, but they deny it all the time and then later that night one of them finally confesses their feelings? 💛”
description: after being questioned about their relationship all the time, one of them lets it slip that they want more than friendship while drunk

I sighed and splashed a handful of col water on my burning face, not caring about if it ruined my makeup. I knew the night of the premiere was going to be rough, but I really didn’t expect for it to be this rough just from the red carpet.
I was lucky to have gotten cast in my first big film while still very new into my acting career. It was a comedy-horror called Scream, directed by Nightmare on Elm Street director Wes Craven, so it was a pretty big deal. I had auditioned with very little expectations on getting the role since I was a new actress and all. So no one was more surprised than I was when Wes himself called me to tell me I got the role.
It was a dream come true and everyone in the cast was so kind that we became a big friend group very fast.
And then there was Matthew. Sweet, goofy Matthew who always made everyone laugh on set, and who managed to steal my heart from the very first moment I met him.
But dating your co-workers is a big no-no in any profession. Even if the movie ended with Stu seemingly being killed and my character being one of the five survivors, who knew where a potential sequel could lead us? Not to mention the fact that I wasn’t about to mess up my first big gig by risking an awkward work environment after dating - or being rejected by - a co-worker.
All those words to say I was too afraid to ask him out.
The night of the premiere had come before we knew it and I was beyond giddy with excitement...until I got to my first interview of the night and the third question was about Matthew.
“Some have said that you and your co-star, Matthew Lillard, have been very close behind the scenes. Anything going on there between you two?”
The question took me by surprise, but I managed to stumble through an answer confirming that we were just friends and move on to the next interview...
...who asked me the same thing.
As did the next one.
And the next one.
And the next one.
Until I had to make the decision to completely bypass the rest of the red carpet and escape into the venue. That’s how I found myself alone in the bathroom, trying to cool myself down.
A knock came at the locked door. “Occupied!”
“It’s me.”
I unlocked the door and opened it just a crack so I could peer out at Neve. When I saw it was just her, I let her in and quickly locked the door again.
“Are you okay?” she asked. “I saw you basically running off the red carpet.”
“Yeah, I’m fine. Just overwhelmed,” I said, which wasn’t a total lie.
“Does it have to do with the interviewers asking about you and Matthew?”
I looked at her in disbelief, which caused Neve to chuckle. “I went after you and was asked about it, too. Apparently your potential relationship is a big scoop.”
I groaned and rolled my eyes. “Why? I’m a nobody. This is my first big acting job.”
“On set romance would be huge for them I guess.” She reached for some paper towels and ran some water over them. “You have mascara running down your face.”
She wiped the black smudges from my cheeks and under my eyes. I mumbled a soft, “Thank you.”
“We gotta get to the premiere. It’s starting soon,” she reminded me
I sighed. “I can’t face Matthew. They definitely asked him the same questions. It’s gonna be awkward.”
“You only have to see him in the movie. Sit between me and Rose, and then hang out with us at the after party. You’ll be fine.”
I smiled and hugged Neve. “You’re such a good friend. “Thank you, Neve.”
It was hard not to glance at Matthew as we entered for the premiere. I kept my eyes trained on the movie screen the entire time, but I was still very aware of his presence. He had sat just behind us with Skeet and Jamie. It took everything in my power not to turn around and look at him or ask him what the interviewers had said to him.
I was glad when the time came around for the after party. I didn’t want to go at first, but now I definitely needed a couple drinks in hopes of forgetting this entire night.
The after party was at Wes’ mansion, which was big enough to hold basically everyone who worked on Scream. Food and drinks were provided and Wes was even offering to let anyone who was drinking stay the night. The party was already in full swing when I arrived. All of the cast were there already and the crew were slowly trickling in. When I walked into the house of course the first person I saw was Matthew.
He had a drink in his hand and was laughing at something one of the crew members had said. Hearing his laugh caused my heart to flip in my chest. I didn’t realize I was just stood in the doorway, staring like a creep, until someone entering basically shoved me out of the way. I stumbled forward, stopping myself from face planting onto the ground. When I managed to stabilize myself, I looked up to see Matthew was now looking at me. My heart started pounding as he turned to approach me.
“Hey,” he said. “What happened to you on the red carpet? I was hoping to see you when I got there.”
“I got a little overwhelmed during the interviews and stuff,” I responded.
Is he going to talk about the interviews? Is he going to bring up what people are apparently saying about us?
“That makes sense. The first red carpet can be hard, especially for a big movie like this.” He threw his arm over my shoulder and pulled my against him. “Just stick with me, kid. I’ll help you through it.”
I found myself speechless, so I just nodded. I let Matthew lead me towards the kitchen for a drink. I let Matthew lead me towards the kitchen for a drink. My original plan of avoiding him the whole night was effectively down the drain the moment he put a drink in my hand. However, my plan to get drunk to forget the night was still very much in play as I made sure my cup stayed full.
I was incredibly drunk when Neve and Rose finally found me lounging on one of Wes’ couches, my legs draped over Matthew’s lap while Skeet was sat opposite of us in a chair.
“There you are,” Neve said. “I thought you were hanging out with us tonight.”
“Matt found me first,” I slurred. I giggled and added, “Isn’t that ironic?”
Rose and Neve shared a look before Rose said, “Maybe we get you some water and get you home.”
“You guys don’t have to rush off,” Skeet said. “I mean, (Y/N) definitely needs some water, but we can all hang out.”
“I don’t want water,” I whined. “I like being drunk. No feelings when you’re drunk. No thoughts or worries or anything.”
“I’m fourth on you getting water,” Matthew said. “It’ll decrease the intensity of your hangover.”
I looked over at him and sheepishly smiled. I reached out and cupped his face with one hand. “You’re so sweet, looking out for me and shit. No wonder I like you so much.”
Even through my drunken haze I could feel a sense of panic go through the room from everyone besides Matthew. My rush on him was probably the worst kept secret of all time. I had told Rose and Neve about it early on since I viewed them as such close friends, but Skeet and Jamie figured it out on their own. Somehow, Matthew was the only one who was oblivious to my feelings for him.
“Hey (Y/N), maybe it is time to go,” Skeet said.
Matthew was chuckling at what I had said, either ignoring Skeet or not hearing him speak. “I like you too, (Y/N).”
“Yeah but you only like me. I like you. Like, romantically.”
I was pulled off of the couch the second the words were out of my mouth. I drunkenly giggled and waved goodbye to Matthew and Skeet as Neve and Rose quickly carried me towards the exit. My head was swimming from the alcohol so much that not even the fresh air helped to sober me up.
Neve helped me into the backseat of her car, laying me on my side in case I got sick. She and Rose got into the front, rolled down the windows so I had some fresh air blowing in on me, and started up the car.
“She’s gonna regret that in the morning,” was the last thing I remembered hearing before I passed out.
~~~~~~
And I certainly did regret everything the next morning when I woke up and felt like a million nails had been poured into my head and were shaken up. I tried to open my eyes but still the dull sunlight coming though the curtains caused the headache to be much worse.
I dragged myself out of bed eventually so I could get some water, only to find a half empty glass on my bedside table. I finished the contents of it and continued my pain filled journey to the kitchen, which I knew would also have Aspirin there to take.
When I stepped into my living room, I let out a yelp upon seeing someone asleep on my couch. My outburst caused them to wake with a start.
“What are you doing here?” I asked.
“I wanted to be here when you woke up in case you needed some help with the hangover,” Matthew responded as he groggily sat up.
“Okay, better question: how did you get here? I may not remember a lot about last night, but I do remember that Neve and Rose were the ones who brought me home.”
“When you guys left, I followed because I was worried for you,” he explained. “I caught up before Neve drove away and practically begged her to let me come with you guys.”
I cringed as cloudy memories including Matthew came rushing back. It should’ve been a good sign that I hadn’t weirded him out so much that he didn’t want to be around me, but I knew what came next here. We were going to have “the talk” where he would reject me and I would have to act like I was okay with that as not to ruin our friendship.
I went to the kitchen to get what I had come for before returning to the living room. I popped an Aspirin into my mouth and downed a mouthful of water, then sat down next to Matthew on the couch.
“Alright,” I sighed. “Let’s talk about the elephant in the room then.”
He looked at me in confusion for a moment before realization crossed his face. “Oh...so you do remember...that?”
“Admitting that I have a crush on you? Yeah, I unfortunately remember,” I said. “I did it in the heat of the moment while drunk. I never meant for you to find out about it. I’m sorry if it made you uncomfortable, or if it weirds you out. We can both just forget about it and move past the whole ordeal.”
“Is that what you want?” he asked.
I wanted to scream Of course not! I want you to like me back. I want you to kiss me, to hold me, to put your hands on me and call me yours! But I knew that was a bad idea. I had already embarrassed myself enough for one lifetime.
“It’s what’s best for us,” I said. “I don’t want to ruin this friendship.”
“Ruin it how?” he asked.
“By having things be awkward between us because I like you and I know you don’t like me back.”
Matthew looked at me for a moment, looking like he was trying to fight back a smile, before he said, “Can you let me talk before we make this decision?”
I looked at him, curiously, and nodded for him to proceed.
“(Y/N), I’ve had a big, fat crush on you since the moment you walked into the first table read for the movie. You were so timid and shy, but you were also extremely beautiful and when you were reading your lines, I could see you had this confidence in that was so strong for someone who claims to be such a newbie. I don’t know what it was, but all of those things combined just drew me to you. The more I got to know you, the more those feelings I had grew.”
It felt like his words had shut off my brain completely. I had no idea how to respond. I just looked at him, blankly, like a complete idiot. I could see him watching me, waiting for some sort of reaction.
“Really?” I finally asked, but then immediately cringed at my own stupid question.
He chuckled, though. He reached for one of my hands and gave it a small squeeze. “Really.”
“But you never said anything,” I said.
“I was afraid you wouldn’t feel the same way.”
I scoffed. “You afraid? You’re like...the opposite of afraid. You were always so confident and fearless both on set and off.”
“Yeah, but not when it came to admitting how I felt about you. No one knew because I was afraid of it getting back to you. I kept it to myself the entire time, which was the hardest thing I ever had to do because whenever I saw you I just wanted to admit everything.”
I let his words soak in for a moment before burying my face in my hands. I couldn’t help but start laughing at the situation, which earned me another confused look from Matthew.
“I got super duper drunk last night because I wanted to forget the interviewers who were asking me if we were in a relationship,” I admitted to him. “I started freaking out because I thought that you were going to feel awkward around me because of what they were saying, so I intended to get drunk, hang out with Neve and Rose, and then make a quick escape home before seeing you.”
“They were asking me about you, too. That’s why I got worried when you left the red carpet and it felt like you were avoiding me. I thought you were avoiding me.”
“I was, but I was doing it because I thought it was going to make things awkward between us!”
We both looked at each other and burst out into laughter realizing how twisted we had the entire situation. All of it could’ve been resolved if we had both just been courageous enough to actually talk about our feelings, but we were both absolutely chickens.
We both leaned back onto the couch as a silence took over. The next question was “where do we go from here?”, but I think we both knew the answer to that without even explicitly asking. I looked over at Matthew and finally gave myself a moment to take him in - while sober anyways. Everything about him was so perfect; perfect skin, perfect blue eyes, perfect messy brown hair, perfect lips that always turned up into a perfect smile.
Perfect lips that I really wanted to kiss.
So, I decided to go for it. No more chickening out, no more excuses. Now that everything was out on the table, I decided to make the first move.
I leaned forward. When Matthew turned to look at me, I quickly attached my lips to his before I could let myself get too scared to do so. It was awkward at first due to how roughly I managed to smash our lips together. But Matthew pulled away and cupped my face in his hands, then leaned forward to kiss me properly.
Just like everything else about him, the kiss was perfect.
I could’ve stayed like that all day. I definitely wanted to. I just wanted to lay on the couch with him and feel his lips on mine and his hands on my face. I’d even be so bold as to take him back to my bedroom if he wanted to come, and we’d never have to leave my bed again if we didn’t want to.
Matthew pulled away first, a big, goofy grin on his face. “That was nice.”
I giggled and buried my head in the crook of his neck. I had managed to forget the pain in my head and the nauseous churning in my stomach for a while, but now it was starting to come back to me and my giggled quickly turned to a groan.
“You poor thing,” Matthew said, putting an arm around me and rubbing my back, soothingly. “Let’s get you back to bed with some water and something very bland so that you can eat but don’t actually throw up.”
“I don’t even think I could eat anything bland,” I admitted. “But I appreciate that you’d want to help me.”
“Of course I want to help you. Can’t let my girl go through this hangover alone.”
Hearing him say the words “my girl” definitely helped me to forget the agony I was in, even if it was just for a quick second.
At least there was one good thing that came out of this whole drunken ordeal, I thought as Matthew helped me to a stand and led me back to my bed.
⏤ return to old posts masterlist
Tumblr media
The stark white canvas stared back at them tauntingly, a small yellow post-it note was stuck loosely to the table beside them. Y/N had jotted down the prompt given earlier in class on it: 'use ink in project'. Short and simple and to the point, not that that served to provide any inspiration now.
It was at that moment that their boyfriend, Carlos DeVile, entered the art room. In all honesty he had been looking for Mal, needing to pass on a message that Ben had given him. He didn't mind not finding her, in fact he was pleased to have found Y/N instead. Y/N too was pleased at his arrival, happily welcoming the company. Carlos's arrival had provided Y/N with some much needed inspiration, more specifically: his multi-coloured hair, the splattering of black in amongst soft white locks. Ink blots on a page or spots in a dalmatian's fur.
That was it! That was they would paint; a patch of snowy white fur using deep black ink to create spots and patches. It would take time and would probably beat them round the ass when it came to shading, but it was something and they would make it work.
It had been a day and a bit since Y/N's inspiration had dawned on them and they'd been making good progress. Carlos had stayed and watched for a bit before remembering why he was there in the first place and the message for Mal.
Now, though, the couple sat together deliberately. Finally it had come to the point when the painting part was finished and dried and all that was left was to add the ink. An inkwell full of deep black ink sat on the table in front of Carlos, who held onto it with a firm grip to make sure that there would be no risk of spillages, whether over the table or yourselves.
Y/N was using a calligraphy brush to draw with the ink; it kept the line neat and smooth as they used it carefully. Just as Y/N was moving the brush back to canvas after going for a re-dip a small drop fell from the tip and landed on the sleeve of Carlos's red, woollen sweater. As soon as they noticed the ink dropping, Y/N flipped the brush in their hand and began to apologise profusely to Carlos. Carlos didn't mind, sure it was annoying but clothes could be washed and he was used to way dirtier clothes back on the Isle anyway.
But as the two focused on his sweater sleeve, neither noticed ink began running down the brush Y/N's hand, slowly making its way down to their fingers. Not until Y/N felt it dripping down their skin. Now looking to their fingers they gave a short laugh, quickly putting the pen down in the inkwell, they quickly grabbed for some paper towels that they'd left to their side incase of this exact situation. But, of course, the ink didn't wipe away cleanly, leaving a large streak across their hand.
Finally the project was completed, left to sit on a windowsill to dry. Y/N absentmindedly drew shapes onto the table with their finger as they talked about this, that and the other to Carlos. As they were talking, Carlos picked up the fine brush from the ink pot and began drawing patterns on the back of his partner's hands. Y/N quickly noticed what he was doing, feeling the brustles drag across their skin, but they made no effort to stop his actions, continuing on as if nothing was happening.
At some point the roles reversed and it became Y/N that was drawing on their lovers hand: softly painting out the bones of his left hand.
It didn't take long until both of them had each of their hands covered in an array of doodles and were laughing away like idiots. Idiots in love.
Castletown Café Episode 23: Fried Pipis
Tumblr media
“HEY EVERY !! IT’S ME!! SPAM-  SPAMTON G. SPAMTON! [Back by popular demand] W1TH [[AN ALL-NEW]] VERY SPECIL PRODUCT!! Y0U [Want it? Need it?] MORE [[PIPIS]]? YOU [GOT IT]!! EAHEAHEAHEAHEA!!”
Another Spring, another pipis recipe!
If you’ve played a certain...alternate route in Chapter 2, you’re likely familiar with the FriedPipis action you can take during the final battle. This action implies that pipis may be edible. This wouldn’t be too surprising, since they resemble eggs and are described as “an invasive species of freshwater clam”.
Which gave me the idea of a scotch egg with a shrimp filling instead of sausage.
While I mostly stick to plant protein, seafood was the one meat I just couldn’t give up, so I still eat it from time to time. I thought a Scotch egg with shrimp sounded delicious (especially with soy sauce), though unsurprisingly, finely minced shrimp doesn’t hold together as nicely as ground sausage, beef, or plant-based protein. I solved this problem by making a “shrimp batter” by mixing together the minced raw shrimp with beaten egg, panko, and flour in order for it to hold together. Minced scallions, ginger, and soy sauce were extra ingredients added to give the batter even more flavor. The eggs were coated in this batter before breading them.
If you’re either allergic to shellfish or just don’t like seafood, you can always make a traditional Scotch egg instead with ground sausage, turkey, or impossible sausage. I bet it’ll be easier than a shrimp batter.
The hardest part, of course, is step one: soft-boiling the eggs. In order to prevent the eggs from overcooking during the frying stage, the eggs are soft-boiled as opposed to hard-boiled.
Soft-boiling eggs is tricky. There are a lot of variables involved that can get in the way of perfect eggs - even professional chefs can’t always get it 100%! Things like the altitude you live in, or the size or freshness of an egg, all play a role in whether or not the shell will stick to the egg. Although the eggs you buy at a grocery store might have aged enough for the shell to slide off without a hitch after boiling, it’s recommended to buy your eggs at least a week in advance, just in case.
For soft-boiling, the trick I was shown (thank you, roomie) is to, for one, reduce the heat from high to medium high shortly before adding in the eggs. Do it carefully with a slotted spoon. Immediately, once the eggs are all in, set your timer to 8 minutes. Since I use the timer on my phone, I set it to 8 before the eggs are submerged, but don’t hit start until after they’re all in there. Soft-boiling the eggs for a full 8 minutes should help prevent the eggs from sticking to the shell when it’s time to peel them.
While they’re boiling and your timer’s ticking, fill up a bowl of cold water and add plenty of ice. Do not skimp. The eggs will go immediately into that ice water once they’re done. This will stop them from continuing to cook. Be sure to remove the eggs off the heat first because you will be adding them one at a time into the bowl of ice water.
You can let ‘em cool for however long you like, and you could stick ‘em in the fridge once they’re done, but since you’ll be dyeing the eggs next, I suggest keeping them at room temperature after they are done cooling.
Next, it’s time to peel and dye the eggs. Hopefully you got lucky and your eggs slid out of their shells just fine. If they’re a little messy, no worries - they’ll be coated in shrimp batter and fried anyway. For the dye, simply make a solution using water, rice vinegar, and a mix of blue and green food coloring.
PIPIS TRANSFORMATION POTION:
2 cups water
4 tablespoons rice vinegar
24 drops blue food coloring
10 drops green food coloring
The longer you leave the eggs in, the more vivid the color will get. Once done, remove the eggs from their dye bath and place them on a plate lined with a paper towel to absorb some of that excess dye. Blot them with another paper towel to dry them off a little so that the flour and batter will stick to the eggs better. Finally, it’s time to make the shrimp batter.
FRIED PIPIS:
Batter:
1 and 1/4 cup finely minced raw shrimp (pre-prepared: headless, tailless, deveined and peeled)
1 to 2 beaten eggs
About 4 finely minced scallion whites
1 thumb freshly minced ginger
2 teaspoons soy sauce (you can add a little more to taste if you’d like)
1/4 cup and 2 tablespoons panko
1/2 cup four
Assembly:
4 soft-boiled eggs, cooled, peeled, and dyed
Shrimp batter
1 cup flour
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup panko
Wash and dry both your scallions and ginger. Peel and cut off about a thumb of ginger and mince it into tiny pieces. Mince your scallion whites likewise, and add both into a mixing bowl.
Since you will be mincing raw meat next, grab a different cutting board if you have one to keep your main one clean, and chop a couple heaping handfuls of shrimp into small chunks, enough to fill a measuring cup up to 1 and 1/4 cup. Add to your mixing bowl, then thoroughly wash your hands, knife, cutting board, and work surface afterward!
Next, beat eggs in a small bowl and pour it in. Add in your soy sauce, panko, and flour, then mix it all together until your batter has formed.
Re-use the bowl you beat your eggs in to beat two more eggs for the outer layer of panko coating.
Get two more bowls, one for flour, and one for panko. Pour a cup of flour in one bowl, and a cup of panko in the other.
Grab your eggs and begin the assembly! First, coat your eggs in flour so that the batter can stick to the egg easier, then coat that sucker up in the batter. Roll your battered egg in the flour once again, then the beaten egg, and finally the panko. Repeat this process until all of your eggs are battered and breaded.
Heat a pot with plenty of oil for frying. With the use of a candy or deep-fat thermometer, keep an eye on the temperature so that it reaches at least 375 degrees F. Once your oil is hot enough, it’s time to fry!
Fry your [PIPIS] until the panko is golden brown and the shrimp is fully cooked on the inside. It may be hard to tell when they’re done, as the outside will cook the fastest. The microwave is your friend if the shrimp hasn’t cooked all the way.
Enjoy! And....don’t manipulate your friends into freezing everyone in sight......
An Ode to 3Tan BBQ
………………………..😶😶😶😶😶😶
AAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That was….They were…Yoongi was…
*shakes head to refocus*
Okay, okay! I’m here, and I think I have mustered up enough coherency to react to the BBQ THAT WILL GO DOWN IN HISTORY.
Firstly, I really truly have no idea how you did it so absolutely perfectly, but you captured that wholesome but incredibly sexy magic of young summer love. That feeling of being invincible, like you’ll never grow old, like anything is possible, like winter will never come and fun is here forever to stay. So fresh but so nostalgic. I could smell the sunscreen and the smoke from the grill. I felt the butterflies in reader’s stomach while she was watching him from afar. I felt how flirty and fabulous she felt in that little dress under Yoongi’s gaze. How did I so potently feel like I was in that backyard? I was taken back to high school when my crush and I would secretly flirt amongst all our friends by the poolside…only this time, the it was Min freaking Yoongi! 😫🫠😍 Reader-insert fics can often offer an experience, but damn, I didn’t know I could be taken back to some really magical and beautiful moments and emotions with this drabble! 🥹💕
I also absolutely loved her moments with Trish and Tae. The conspiratorial role Tae is now playing has been squealing with glee, and the conversation with Trish has me so soft for Reader, who is so apparently coming into her own.
Also, the line where Tae compares reader to Yeontan had me in freaking stitches 😂💜😂💜
And, excuse me, but was that a potential Dom and Shiv moment I saw there? Ummm…I freaking ship it????
…And Yoongi. THIS Yoongi?? THIS M@TH$RF&#KIN’ YOONGI??? Excuse me, ma’am, but do you have a permit to write such a DANGEROUS CHARACTER??? 🥵🥵🥵
This line:
“Hell no, he needs to keep those broad shoulders covered or else you’re really gonna fucking lose.”
Had me thinking:
Tumblr media
And then this line:
“He rakes wet locks back before slowly walking to the edge of the pool, wiping his face before aiming a smirk of revenge at your menace sibling.”
Had me like:
Tumblr media
You wrote all of the little Yoongi-is-babe-of-epic-proportions details so well! Like how his teeth are dashing???? Like, they are but how do you so aptly zero in on everything that makes him so attractive???
So, anyhow, thanks to this menacing new helping of 3Tan Yoongi I am currently exceedingly unwell and entirely unable to function.
The silent war you waged between Reader and Yoongs was the absolute tits - so cute and steamy at the same time! My heart exploded at the part with the paper towel roles!!! 🥰 But then other parts had me straight up tomato-faced BLUSHING!
This line?
“Even if his chains are currently caressing your back…”
When I tell you I was SCREAMING. Literally. Screaming.
And after building the sexual tension to the tightness of a freaking bowstring, the sneaky intimacy they managed to so recklessly cram in was SO EFFING HOT.
This drabble is definitely my new favorite of the 3Tan canon…like, seriously, you keep outdoing yourself and at this point I believe you can move mountains if only given a pen! 😆🙌 Thank you so much for gifting us with this one, it is an absolute gem and is going to get me through the drudge of the work week with many a reread!
After indulging in this absolute MASTERPIECE far be it from me to ask for more.
…buuuuuuttt….
all of this took me back so far omfg!! the way you also captured all the feelings of summer so well? by just mentioning what you remember? wow. summer love is fantastic.. and i'm so happy that i was able to convey some of those vibes in this drabble! working on it poolside definitely helped, even if i had to shield my eyes from the sun ahaha. gahhhhh all the butterflies!! being in that backyard: i was THERE! i felt it! if you felt the same then i am immensely satisfied.
I also absolutely loved her moments with Trish and Tae. The conspiratorial role Tae is now playing has been squealing with glee, and the conversation with Trish has me so soft for Reader, who is so apparently coming into her own. TRISH!! i have been waiting to incorporate trish into the series so i'm happy to have her here, even if we don't know if this is canon yet. she's a thoughtful person and someone i am very happy that is in reader and bro's lives. as far as tae... we all love that damn man lol. i wanna protect him with everything i have! AND DOM AND SHIV AHAHAHA YESSSS
…And Yoongi. THIS Yoongi?? THIS M@TH$RF&#KIN’ YOONGI??? Excuse me, ma’am, but do you have a permit to write such a DANGEROUS CHARACTER??? 🥵🥵🥵
godddddd i literally don't know. my fingers just type and i cry on my keyboard. that's literally how all of this has worked so far lmfao
The silent war you waged between Reader and Yoongs was the absolute tits - so cute and steamy at the same time! My heart exploded at the part with the paper towel roles!!! 🥰 But then other parts had me straight up tomato-faced BLUSHING!
YESSS. i had a blast writing everything and the war between them was everything. the paper towels!! alexa play u got it bad by usher LOL
This line? “Even if his chains are currently caressing your back…” When I tell you I was SCREAMING. Literally. Screaming.
YOU KNOW I GOTTA MENTION THOSE CHAINS ITS LITERALLY PART OF MY BRAND ATP
And after building the sexual tension to the tightness of a freaking bowstring, the sneaky intimacy they managed to so recklessly cram in was SO EFFING HOT.
how can they be so intimate and yet i'm blushing?? how can this happen. why are they always doing this to me??
WAIT WHAT. ITS UR NEW FAVE?? that's amazing! we don't know if it's canon yet but omfg if it's your fave that means so much to me! i didn't exercise as much brainpower as i usually do for the main parts so the writing may not have been like,, my best. but i'm still happy you enjoyed<3 thank you for reading and i hope you had an okay week!
Oh that's cool well Im going to audition for Ariel. *Gasps* "Oh My Gosh what are you ok" yeah I just realized that we could be scene partners "Oh my fucking gosh, I thought something was happening" sorry just got exited "it's good" let's get to class "good idea" we walked are separate ways to are classes I went to Spanish and sat down next to my bff katie. She was texting her boyfriend, She looked up and said "omg y/n he is such a flirt". Took Billie's hand and asked her something, she nodded her head and he took my hand took us to the bathroom and said "clean her up" I got some paper towels and tried to wipe it off. But in the end I gave her my jacket I asked her why he was talking about her liking him. "You're welcome, dude. I know you'd do the same for me if the roles were reversed," Puck replied as he washed his hands, watching blood disappear down the drain. He sighed as he grabbed a paper towel and dried his hands. "So...ya wanna tell me why those guys were chasing you? Should I be worried?"
Some of my wholesome Eddie Headcanons:
Miss O'Donnell has a soft spot for Eddie considering he has been in her class for three years now.
He would often try to paint his own dnd figurines but he would fuck them up every single time and then have Gareth repaint them for him but he would never stop trying even though he fails every single time cause he doesn't have the patience or precision in order to do a good job.
He is usually dehydrated. The boy needs to drink some water.
Bites his nails and fidgets a lot
Wayne and Eddie almost always eat their meals off of paper plates or, in dire times, paper towels
Was extremely hyper as a child.
Draws on his hands a lot. Makes little notes or just doodles.
Has a small rivalry with one of the kids at the local arcade who always beats Eddie's high score on Ghost n Goblins.
Only really smokes weed in the form of a joint, and definitely smokes more cigarettes than he does weed.
Loves Max's dog and will often feed it scraps of whatever scraps Eddie happens to be eating
Pretty clumsy in general but makes up for it in charisma (most of the time)
Is literally never on time for school. Probably gets there on time once a year and usually only because he was up all night anyway.
Got the bats tattooed after Ozzy bit the bat's head off in 1982. How? Illegally.
His van runs out of gas a lot so he keeps gas cans in the back.
Has a massive crush on Debbie Harry (I say this cause Joseph Quinn does)
Huge theatre nerd and loves the drama teacher at school but hasn't auditioned for a role since middle school. She always pleads with him to try out and says he would be a hit and he says, "Nah, don't want to distract from my campaign"
Speaking of DND, he will easily and happily spend a Sunday reading a book cover to cover but often pressures himself into working on his campaign instead.
Drinks his coffee black with an obscene amount of sugar.
Leather and Sunglasses - Ch. 2 - Make a List
Pairing: Remy LeBeau/Scott Summers; implied Logan/Remy LeBeau
Warnings: None
Rating: Explicit
Words: 1,003
Description: After Logan has to dip for a different mission, Scott gets put with Gambit on this one. The mission? Infiltrating a dom/sub club for mutants.
The next morning, the smell of coffee wakes Scott. He reaches blindly for his sunglasses, sliding them on before opening his eyes.He takes a deep breath and sits up.
The events of the night before come rushing back to him. His cheeks heat up as he remembers the shame he felt when they got back to the apartment, Remy’s offer to sleep on the couch (why they were put into an apartment with only one bedroom, Scott doesn’t understand), and the understanding that today they’d talk about it.
Scott isn’t sure he’s ready for that.
Still, he stands, snatching his robe from where it hangs above the nightstand. As he pulls it on, he walks towards the door and throws it open.
Remy stands in the kitchen, leaning back against the counter as he sips from a mug. He’s shirtless. Of course he is. A pair of gray joggers ride low on his hips, showing off his abs and the V-cut of his hips.
When he sees Scott, he raises his mug in greeting. “Bonjour, Scott. Coffee?”
“Yeah.” Scott crosses the kitchen to pour himself his own cup. He adds some sugar to it before sitting at the kitchen table.
The silence builds between them. Scott feels his shoulders tighten and tense with every second he waits for Remy to say something. He takes a long drink from his mug. The heat travels all the way down his throat before dropping like a stone in his gut.
“So, ‘bout last night,” Remy finally says as he sets aside his empty mug. Palms flat against the counter, he lifts himself onto it, legs dangling as he sits.
Scott’s grip on the mug tightens. “Yeah, we should probably talk about that,” he agrees. He takes another large gulp of coffee to try to ease the lump in his throat that’s suddenly formed.
“You ain’t never been with a man ‘fore, have ya?”
Choking, Scott coughs and sputters, getting coffee all over the table.
Remy tries not to smirk and fails. “Well, that answers that question.”
“Are you saying you have?!” Scott demands, sounding scandalized at the thought.
“Oui,” Remy answers nonchalantly with a shrug. He grabs the roll of paper towels off the counter and passes them over to Scott. Humming thoughtfully, he watches Scott as he begins to wipe the table clean. “Good thing we got plenty of time ‘fore our mark is actually supposed to be round these parts.”
Crumpling the coffee-soaked napkin, Scott tosses it at the trashcan and misses. It hits the tiles with a soft, pathetic splat. “You made this mission sound so easy.” He puts on a mocking voice, poorly mimicking Remy’s accent, “Go to dis club, blend in, spend a couple months hangin’ round so nobody pays us no mind.”
Remy’s face twists in distaste. “You lucky we not in our roles, homme, otherwise you’d get a spankin’ for that.”
Something akin to a squawk escapes Scott at that. His entire face feels hot and he’s sure it’s as red as his sunglasses. He drops his head to the table, covering his head with his arms.
“Can I ask you a question?” Remy doesn’t wait for a response. “Why you puttin’ yourself through this?”
Scott tugs at his own hair. “Because,” he starts, his voice muffled. “I can’t fail. How does that look if the leader fails a mission? If I can’t handle it?”
He barely hears Remy’s bare feet hit the tile floor. The chair next to him pulls out before Remy settles himself in it. “Okay.” One of his hands rests on Scott’s back. “So if we gon’ do this, we gon’ do it right.”
“What do you mean?” Scott finally lifts his head, hands dropping to the tabletop.
Remy looks uncharacteristically serious. “You need t’ make me a list. Things you’re comfortable with, things you’re completely against, that sort of thing. If we doin’ this, I want you to feel safe. We got a safeword an’ that’s a good start, there’s jus’ more we need to do.”
His hand moves from Scott’s back to instead cup his cheek. “We prolly need t’ practice being in our roles here too, so we’re not so awkward at the club.”
Without thinking, Scott leans into Remy’s touch. “Y-yeah.” He swallows slightly. “Give me like ten minutes to write out a list and we’ll go from there?”
Fifteen minutes later, they’re in the living room. Scott sits on the armchair, knees drawn up to his chest as he watches Remy read over his list. “Everything good?” he asks, trying not to let his anxiety creep into his voice.
“Yeah,” Remy says, his lips curling up into a smirk despite himself. “You put on here you got a praise kink.
Scott is certain his face is going to permanently stain red. “Yeah and? Isn’t that the kind of thing you want to know?”
“Oh, oui, absolutely. I jus’ didn’t expect you to be aware of it.” Remy sets the list on the coffee table before looking at Scott. Raising a hand, he beckons Scott over with a single finger. “C’mere.”
He’s not sure if it’s the tone of Remy's voice or the look in those dangerous eyes, but Scott finds himself scrambling to obey. He stands in front of Remy, awaiting further instruction.
Remy’s nimble fingers reach out to untie Scott’s robe. The fabric swings open, revealing Scott’s bare torso. “Take that off, chere.”
The words are barely out of Remy’s mouth before the robe falls to the floor in a messy heap.
Smirking, Remy tugs Scott onto his lap. “Good boy,” he purrs before pulling Scott into a kiss. Scott melts into it, fingers tangling in Remy’s messy hair. When they break apart, Remy grins up at him. “I think this is the start of a good thing.” He lifts one of Scott’s hands, pressing a kiss to the inside of his wrist.
“Go get dressed. We need to hit up a couple shops for supplies.”
“Yes sir.”
Taming Arrogance - Chapter 19
Tumblr media Tumblr media
*Warning Adult Content*
A warm, minty breath fans across my face.
I breathe it in and sigh, pulling the scent into dreamland where Blake has made far too many appearances in one night.
Fingers press against my hip, their pressure too gentle for my taste.
I frown and buck my hips up, a silent invitation for more.
'A chuckle.'
Soft lips press against the side of my mouth and I freeze.
Reality and dreamland become severed in one swift, jarring moment.
My eyes snap open and Cade's curious grin comes into view.
He's dangerously close to me, has fingers still trailing along my exposed stomach.
"What-what are you doing here?" I ask through layers of sleep.
It's a poor question choice because of course I know why he's here.
My dumb ass fell asleep.
Apparently his dumb ass did too.
Cade grins and removes his hand from my side.
His dark hair is brushed to the side, clear eyes staring down at me with keen interest.
Whatever expression is on my face makes Cade hold up his hands in mock defense.
"Calm down, I was trying to find a fun way to wake you up and I see that it worked."
He glances down at my growing erection and I blush.
Fiercely.
If it was just casual morning wood, I would tell him to piss off.
This erection is different though, caused by the leading role of my far-too-sexual dream.
Blake.
I don't bother correcting Cade's assumption and instead brush off him off before jumping out of bed.
My towel is still balled up in a damp heap on the floor from last night.
A streak of panic fills me when I switch my gaze to the nightstand.
"Shit."
Cade's brow puckers and he follows me gaze to the clock.
"What's wrong?"
I grit my teeth and fling open my suitcase.
All the clothes in sight are thrown inside without being folded.
If my brother was here, he'd be throwing in all the toilet paper and tissue boxes into my suitcase too. 'It's included in the price of the room' he'd always say whenever we went on a family vacation.
"Do you need my help, Callum?" Cade asks, regaining my attention.
His tone is light but serious, genuine concern lacing his words.
I grab a pair of jeans and head to the bathroom.
"My flight leaves in less than two hours," I explain, shutting the door behind me.
"And Blake told me to meet him in the lobby at 9:00 AM. Sharp," I mimic my boss's voice, nailing the timbre and tone flawlessly.
Cade stifles a laugh and I can almost see him smiling from the other side of the door.
"Man's got you on a tight leash," he comments.
Yeah, something like that.
I finish changing and hurry out of the bathroom to finish packing.
By the time I close the zipper of my suitcase, Cade has the hotel room looking immaculate.
He gives me an impish shrug and stuffs his hands into his back pockets.
"Force of habit," he says.
"I cleaned hotel rooms before I became a bartender."
I'm about to make a snide joke about how his talent for making beds far exceeds his ability to make a stiff drink but my eyes fixate on the clock again.
9:27 AM.
"Fuck. I gotta go, man."
I check my cell-phone, half-expecting there to be gobs of unread texts and unanswered phone calls waiting for me... there aren't.
A frown creeps across my brow.
For some reason, the lack of communication from Blake has me more on edge than ever.
My fingers curl around the handle of my suitcase and I haul it to the door.
Cade follows just a step behind me.
"Have a safe flight," he says.
"Feel free to text me whenever."
I turn towards him, not really sure what to say.
We had a 'bro' night, after all.
We chilled, watched sports, had some pizza, albeit incredibly boring pizza and just relaxed.
It shouldn't be so awkward to say goodbye then, should it?
I mean, yeah, there was a weird cuddling session amongst that too but... Cade catches me off-guard and plants a whisper of a kiss on my lips.
It's different than his kiss in the car, this one softer and more familiar.
His minty taste lingers on my lips and I stare at him, more confused than ever on what to say next.
He reaches out and sends a playful punch to my arm.
"Would you stop thinking so much?" he laughs and shakes his head.
"I had fun. We'll leave it at that."
"Yeah, alright."
Cade opens the door for me and pops his head outside first, glancing from left to right.
Then his voice drops to a whisper.
"I'll give you a twenty minute lead before I head out. Just to make sure the coast is clear."
He leaves enough room for me to pass him.
I wonder why he doesn't just move out of the damn way but then he grabs my ass, effectively answering my question for me.
My cheeks clench together, unsure of the new touch.
I roll my eyes and don't look back.
What an idiot.
As if sensing my tardiness, the elevator takes no time getting me down to the lobby.
I stroll across the marbled tile with purposeful strides, realizing my attire is a bit lackluster compared to the hoity-toity employees running this joint.
My stomach tightens when I get to the lobby.
A few people are scattered around, most of them reading the newspaper.
One old dude bypasses the paper altogether, his sole focus trying to get his e-cigarette to work.
My gaze sweeps over every chair and person in the lounge but I come up empty handed.
Where is he?
I glance out the front windows and let out a sigh of relief when I see that Todd is parked right outside the doors.
Blake leans against the car with his usual, unflappable poise.
Steams of sunlight bounce off his expensive attire, a personal spotlight every time he moves.
The two of them seem to have a casual conversation going back and forth.
Either they're oblivious to how late I am or for once they don't care.
The first is impossible and the second seems unlikely.
I readjust my suitcase and take a deep breath before walking outside.
The coolness of the indoors is engulfed by the smothering humidity.
My jeans feel too heavy and hot, making me wish I'd just worn the sweatpants instead.
Todd notices me first.
His eyes narrow to slits and he clears his throat.
My boss turns towards me, inclining his head to give me a nod of acknowledgement.
Sunglasses cover his eyes, aviators no less, making him look sexier than I'd care to admit.
"Ah, there he is," Blake says to me with calculated kindness.
His tone is shrewd and he gives me a smile that looks forced.
Todd, on the other hand, has zero problem shooting me a sinister glare.
Of course he's mad, here I am holding up the show, yet again.
An apology sits at the top of my tongue but never make its way out into the open.
It's one thing feeling a sliver of humiliation when it comes to Blake.
Asshole Todd is another story.
"When Blake asked you to meet him down here at 9:00 AM, he meant Eastern time. Not 'Callum time,'" Todd mocks, using his thin fingers to put air quotes around his invented time zone.
My defenses flare and take a menacing step towards the car.
"Apologies, Todd," I sneer.
"But there's room for only one nose to be shoved up Blake's asshole. When you're through with your turn, why don't you give the rest of us a shot?"
Todd's eyes widen and he flushes.
"Why you little shit."
"Now, now," Blake says, laughing.
"Don't be too hard on Callum. He had a busy night."
His interception silences the two of us.
Blake turns his back to me and opens the door, ushering me to get inside.
I swallow hard, trying to keep my face calm as I run through the meaning behind his words.
Does he know I was with Cade last night, in the hotel room or was Blake referring to our intimate moment together, in the penthouse suite?
The nearest hotel attendant grabs my luggage and hoists it into the trunk.
Blake tips him, of course and gets into the backseat beside me.
For the first time since arriving, I notice the large amount of space he leaves between us.
Has he always done this?
My tongue slides across my bottom lip.
The tender bit of flesh from last night is almost healed.
Blake straightens his shirt and looks forward, not bothering to spare me a second glance.
He instructs Todd which terminal to drop us off and I'm left to mulling over my worry in silence.
Spots of sunlight stream down from the patches of open space between the palm trees.
It feels hotter than normal today, the warmth causing beads of perspiration to form across my forehead.
My cell-phone buzzes in my pocket and I pull it out, squinting at the text.
Cade Jackson: Everything going OK?
I type back, making sure to angle the screen away from Blake in case he decides to look over.
Callum Greene: Things are weird, man.
Cade Jackson: Oh shit. What'd he say?
Callum Greene: Nothing yet but he's acting off. Idk. I can just tell.
Cade Jackson: LOL. Sounds like you're just being paranoid.
I scowl at the text and stuff my cell-phone back into my pocket.
Must be nice to be able to just laugh it off.
Lucky for him, Cade gets to go back to his casual nights of making drinks and being fawned over by drunken gay men.
Where I, on the other hand, have to go back home and deal with him.
I lick my lips again and think, trying to come up with a way to probe Blake about his comment without giving anything away.
The 'accusation game' gets the final vote.
I lower my voice and lean across the seat, trying to speak softly enough for Todd not to overhear.
"Why didn't you come after me last night?"
Blake's features are stone cold.
His sunglasses block my only venue to gauge his anger level.
Instead all I see is my worried expression being reflected back at me.
He reaches down and tugs at his cufflinks, adjusting them once, then twice.
His jaw tightens and he leans towards me ever so slightly.
"I did," he says, confirming my fears in one swift, emotional punch to the gut.
"But you already had company."
Unlocking the Benefits of Face Tissue Paper: A Complete Guide
In the realm of personal care and hygiene, one essential item that often takes center stage is face tissue paper. Far beyond its conventional role of wiping away moisture or dirt, face tissue paper offers a multitude of benefits for skincare, makeup application, and on-the-go freshness. In this comprehensive guide, we delve into the world of face tissue paper, exploring its various types, uses, and how to integrate it seamlessly into your daily routine for a healthier, more radiant complexion.
Understanding Face Tissue Paper
Face tissue paper, also known as facial tissue, is a lightweight, absorbent paper product designed specifically for use on the face. Unlike traditional tissues or paper towels, face tissue paper is gentler on the delicate skin of the face, making it ideal for skincare and cosmetic purposes.
Types of Face Tissue Paper
1. Standard Facial Tissues
Standard facial tissues are the most common type of face tissue paper and are widely available in various sizes and ply. These soft, absorbent tissues are perfect for everyday use, whether it's for blotting excess oil, removing makeup, or dabbing away sweat throughout the day.
2. Oil-Absorbing Sheets
Oil-absorbing sheets are specially formulated face tissue papers designed to combat excess oil and shine on the skin. Made from materials like rice paper or blotting paper, these sheets quickly absorb oil without disturbing makeup, leaving the skin looking matte and refreshed.
3. Moisturizing Facial Tissues
For those with dry or sensitive skin, moisturizing facial tissues provide a gentle and hydrating solution. Infused with moisturizing ingredients like aloe vera or hyaluronic acid, these tissues help soothe and nourish the skin while removing impurities and makeup.
Face Tissue Paper in Skincare
1. Makeup Removal
Face tissue paper serves as an effective and gentle method for removing makeup at the end of the day. Simply apply a small amount of makeup remover or cleansing oil to a tissue and gently wipe away makeup, dirt, and impurities without tugging or pulling on the skin.
2. Blotting Excess Oil
Throughout the day, our skin naturally produces oil, which can lead to unwanted shine and greasiness. Face tissue paper offers a convenient solution for blotting away excess oil without disturbing makeup or clogging pores, leaving the skin looking fresh and matte.
3. Refreshing On-the-Go
Whether you're traveling, commuting, or simply on-the-go, face tissue paper provides instant refreshment and cleanliness whenever you need it. Keep a pack of tissues in your bag or purse for quick touch-ups throughout the day, keeping your skin feeling clean and rejuvenated.
Tips for Using Face Tissue Paper
Choose Wisely: Select face tissue paper that is soft, absorbent, and gentle on the skin to avoid irritation or discomfort.
Blot, Don't Rub: When using face tissue paper to blot away oil or remove makeup, gently press the tissue against the skin instead of rubbing, which can cause irritation and redness.
Dispose Properly: After use, dispose of face tissue paper properly in a waste bin to prevent littering and maintain cleanliness.
In conclusion, face tissue paper is a versatile and indispensable tool for skincare, makeup application, and on-the-go freshness. Whether you opt for standard facial tissues, oil-absorbing sheets, or moisturizing options, integrating face tissue paper into your daily routine can help you achieve a healthier, more radiant complexion with ease.
The Art of Privacy: Window Tinting in Tyson’s Corner
Many car owners like to have their windows tinted for numerous reasons. These could include protection from the sun’s rays, privacy, and more. Various shops for auto cosmetics offer these kinds of services. You can achieve a privacy-centered car with a reliable expert that secures you from anything. Continue reading to learn more about window tinting in Tyson’s Corner.
Understanding Window Tinting
To begin, there are several perks to adding tints to your car’s windows. Tinted windows deter robbers, prevent people from peeking into your car, and overall bring an additional feeling of safety when you’re in the vehicle. This article aims to break down what window tinting could do for your safety in general.
The Benefits of Tinting Your Windows
Tinting your windows is one of the most ideal ways to build privacy in your car. Unlike cars with no tinted windows, it gives a better sense of security and privacy.
Enhancing Privacy
While tints may look appealing to passers by, it also limits the visibility of your vehicle’s interior. Since many individuals keep valuables in their cars, it should be important to make them safe. These additions prevent thieves from peaking into your car and knowing what’s inside. This, in turn, discourages them from stealing since unsubtly peaking into vehicles raises red flags in public spaces.
UV Protection
On top of being an auto cosmetics service, tints also improve UV protection against the sun’s harmful rays. Most brands claim their window tints block up to 99% of these beams. These additions protect the driver's and passengers’ skin and maintain the vehicle’s integrity so it doesn’t get ruined by these rays.
Energy Efficiency
Additionally, tinted windows promote energy efficiency by optimizing the car’s interior temperatures. In short, it minimizes heat transfer. In line with this, car owners require less air conditioning due to the tint’s role in decreasing the influences of outdoor weather.
Safety and Security
Another perk of installing a tint on your vehicle is that it increases the window’s durability. However, they do not make them impenetrable. With the use of a tint, it will make your windows scratch-resistant in the long run.
Maintenance and Care
Several tips are accessible to the general public on properly caring for their window tints to maintain them. A popular tip is to use foam cleansers when washing windows. These cleaning solutions usually don’t have chemicals that can potentially damage the tint and do not create streaks.
A second tip is to use foam cleansers and partner it with a soft cloth. These fabrics ensure that your tints are not scratched in the process. Additionally, using paper towels when cleaning is not advisable since the rough fibers may damage the tint.
Third, letting the film dry completely is paramount to avoid bubbles or other issues. Owners can let it air dry or use a rubber squeegee or a clean and dry microfiber cloth to speed up the process. Moreover, keeping an eye on the edges is essential to minimize lifting.
Trends for Window Tinting in Tyson’s Corner
Businesses are in the area, and cosmetic and reconditioning services are growing in popularity. That said, various providers offer different services to improve your vehicle’s appearance. Moreover, they offer innovative services for window tinting and other protection films.
Choosing the Right Window Tinting Service
As mentioned, many service providers in the area offer similar assistance. If you’re looking for “cosmetic auto repair near me,” it is essential to take note of the following considerations:
Reputation as local providers
Evaluating options by comparing offers, pricing, and customer reviews
Requesting consultations and asking for quotes on your needed product or service
So, why is it important to follow these points? Well, there are a lot of car enthusiasts out there who only want the best for their vehicles and who can provide the best products and services. To begin, cars are investment items that require significant money. It would be best to partner with reputable shops with positive reputations. Understanding the Importance of Kitchen Towels
A Versatile Companion
A kitchen towel is not merely a piece of cloth; it's a versatile companion that serves various purposes in the culinary realm. From wiping spills to drying dishes and cleaning countertops, its utility knows no bounds.
Hygiene and Sanitation
Maintaining hygiene in the kitchen is paramount, and kitchen towels play a crucial role in this regard. They help in quickly wiping away spills, preventing cross-contamination, and ensuring a clean cooking environment.
Absorbency and Durability
The best kitchen towels boast superior absorbency and durability. They can efficiently soak up liquids, withstand frequent washing, and endure rigorous use without losing their effectiveness.
Tumblr media
Choosing the Right Kitchen Towel
Material Matters
When selecting a kitchen towel, pay close attention to the material. Cotton towels are highly absorbent and gentle on surfaces, making them ideal for everyday use. Microfiber towels are another popular choice due to their exceptional absorbency and quick-drying properties.
Size and Thickness
Consider the size and thickness of the towel based on your specific needs. A larger towel provides more coverage and versatility, while a thicker towel offers better absorbency for heavy-duty tasks.
Design and Aesthetics
While functionality is key, don't overlook the importance of design and aesthetics. Choose kitchen towels that complement your kitchen decor and reflect your personal style.
Tumblr media
Innovative Uses of Kitchen Towels
Bread Proofing Cloth
Transform your kitchen towel into a makeshift bread proofing cloth by lightly dusting it with flour. Its breathable fabric creates the perfect environment for dough to rise, resulting in fluffy, oven-fresh bread.
Eco-Friendly Cleaning
Say goodbye to disposable paper towels and embrace eco-friendly cleaning practices with reusable kitchen towels. Simply wash and reuse them to reduce waste and minimize environmental impact.
Culinary Creativity
Unleash your culinary creativity by utilizing kitchen towels in unconventional ways. From crafting decorative napkins to improvising pot holders and makeshift strainers, the possibilities are endless.
Tumblr media
How to Care for Your Kitchen Towels
Regular Washing
Maintain the cleanliness and freshness of your kitchen towels by washing them regularly. Launder them with mild detergent in hot water to effectively remove stains and bacteria.
Avoid Fabric Softeners
Steer clear of fabric softeners when washing kitchen towels, as they can reduce absorbency and leave behind a filmy residue. Opt for vinegar or baking soda as natural alternatives to keep your towels soft and odor-free.
Air Drying vs. Machine Drying
While machine drying offers convenience, air drying is gentler on kitchen towels and helps preserve their longevity. Hang them outdoors in the sunlight to naturally bleach and disinfect.
FAQs
How often should I replace my kitchen towels?
It's advisable to replace your kitchen towels every few months or sooner if they show signs of wear and tear.
Can I use kitchen towels to handle hot pots and pans?
While kitchen towels provide some insulation, it's safer to use specialized pot holders or oven mitts for handling hot cookware.
Are microfiber towels suitable for all kitchen surfaces?
Microfiber towels are generally safe for most kitchen surfaces, but avoid using them on delicate or easily scratched materials like stainless steel.
Elevate Your Living Room with the Perfect Carpet: A Guide to Choosing and Styling
Carpets play a crucial role in transforming the ambiance of a living room. Beyond merely providing warmth and comfort underfoot, they serve as a canvas for expressing your personal style and enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal of your space. Whether you prefer a cozy retreat or a contemporary haven, selecting the right carpet can elevate your living room to new heights of sophistication and comfort. In this guide, we delve into the art of choosing and styling carpets for living rooms, exploring various factors to consider and offering tips to help you create a captivating and inviting space.
Choosing the Perfect Carpet:
Consider the Size and Layout: Before selecting a carpet, assess the size and layout of your living room. Determine whether you want the carpet to cover the entire floor or serve as an accent rug. Take measurements to ensure the carpet fits proportionally within the space.
Material Matters: The material of the carpet significantly impacts its look, feel, and durability. Common options include wool, nylon, polyester, and polypropylene. Wool carpets offer luxurious softness and natural resilience, while synthetic fibers like nylon and polyester are more budget-friendly and easy to clean.
Pile Height and Texture: Pile height and texture contribute to the overall comfort and visual appeal of the carpet. Plush, high-pile carpets exude a sense of luxury and coziness, ideal for creating a relaxed atmosphere. Alternatively, low-pile or flatweave carpets are sleek and easy to maintain, making them perfect for high-traffic areas.
Color and Pattern: The color and pattern of the carpet can dramatically influence the mood and style of your living room. Neutral tones like beige, gray, and taupe create a timeless backdrop, allowing you to experiment with bold accents through furniture and accessories. Alternatively, vibrant colors and intricate patterns add personality and flair to contemporary or eclectic spaces.
Styling Tips:
Define Zones: Use carpets to delineate different zones within your living room, such as seating areas, reading nooks, or dining spaces. By layering carpets of varying sizes or shapes, you can create visual interest and define each area's purpose.
Coordinate with Furniture: When styling your living room with a carpet, consider how it complements your existing furniture and decor. Opt for colors and patterns that harmonize with your upholstery, curtains, and decorative accessories, ensuring a cohesive and balanced look.
Experiment with Shapes: Break away from traditional rectangular carpets and experiment with unconventional shapes like round, oval, or geometric rugs. These unique shapes can add visual intrigue and dynamic movement to your living room, creating a focal point that commands attention.
Layer for Depth: For added depth and dimension, layer multiple carpets of contrasting textures or patterns. Pair a solid-colored base rug with a smaller, patterned accent rug to create visual interest and enhance the overall aesthetic of your living room.
Maintenance and Care:
Regular Vacuuming: To keep your carpet looking fresh and clean, vacuum it regularly to remove dirt, dust, and debris. Use a vacuum cleaner with a rotating brush or beater bar for deep cleaning and to lift embedded dirt from the carpet fibers.
Spot Cleaning: Promptly attend to spills and stains to prevent them from setting into the carpet. Blot the affected area with a clean cloth or paper towel to absorb excess liquid, then gently dab with a mixture of mild detergent and water to lift the stain.
Professional Cleaning: Schedule professional carpet cleaning at least once a year to maintain its appearance and prolong its lifespan. Professional cleaners use specialized equipment and techniques to deep clean carpets, removing dirt, allergens, and odors effectively.
Incorporating the perfect carpet into your living room can transform it into a cozy sanctuary or a stylish retreat, reflecting your unique taste and personality. By carefully considering factors such as size, material, color, and pattern, and implementing styling tips like zoning, layering, and coordinating with furniture, you can create a captivating and inviting space that exudes comfort and elegance. With proper maintenance and care, your carpet will continue to enhance the ambiance of your living room for years to come, providing a foundation for countless cherished memories and moments of relaxation.
