#persona 4 #p4 #persona 4 golden #p4g #hanamura yosuke #yosuke hanamura #souyo #this was an interesting scene for a lot of reasons #for context naoto goes out to take a breather and yu follows with yosuke following behind yu. #yosuke cracks a joke to lighten the mood (something i've already talked about a lot is making jokes is yosuke's fall back to raise morale) #there's 3 things happening here - yosuke opts to go outside with yu to cheer yu up instead of staying in to cheer up the rest of the team #so it kind of implicitly suggests that like it or not yosuke kind of still prioritises yu - that yu is the first person yosuke looks to #but it also comes closely at the heels of that moment in the hospital room with namatame and i think this is very much a scene where #yosuke is testing the waters with his r/s with yu like “hey we're good right” by making a joke so that things btwn them feel normal again #and finally it's something that i don't think even yosuke himself realises - HE is the catalyst to yu's realisation on who the culprit is #yosuke's comment that “the fog's so thick the snow gets lost in it” is reminiscent of the english saying “to hide a tree use a forest” #at least for me anyway - snow and fog are both forms of water that come about during low temperatures #but it's right after this comment that yu made the connection that the culprit was someone else that could hide in the crowd #by blending in in a different manner to namatame #namatame was not noticed because he was a delivery driver and that was a mundane everyday figure #but adachi blended in by being one of many police officers that were present in inaba - in other words the tree in the forest #without realising it yosuke has come in clutch to support yu again - i'm fascinated that it wasn't naoto that deduces it #despite being THE detective and being in this scene #it's the combined work of yosuke and yu #and that they really are better with each other #he's good with his queue

I was trying out variations on colorways for aubree's outfit and, with a few of them, realized that her outfit has trended slightly less colorful over time, and specifically less yellow (originally a green and yellow striped vest, then a green vest over a yellow short sleeved shirt, and now possibly a white shirt and green vest, with only small amounts of yellow embroidery). this wasn't intentional, but nonetheless, the concept that, as the adventure has worn on, she's outwardly losing color-- and specifically in favor of browns and whites, the colors associated with the halfling god of death-- is compelling to me. I mean, I suppose if I had been doing it on purpose, the shadowfell arc immediately following our literal deaths and mysterious rebirths would have been a really good time for the most muted palette... but, then again, aubree was still relatively fresh then, confused and traumatized but also still powerfully and stubbornly alive where it counts; vibrant, burning, shining light into dark corners just by existing. but the more we learn, the heavier things weigh, the fewer outlets she has, the less she feels like she can relate to the people who should understand better than anyone... she's still righteous and angry, but she's also just... sad, and tired, and growing more tired the more she feels like she has to keep herself together for everyone else. and gradually, quietly, her colors are washing out.

Lambda’s biggest fear nowadays would have to be the complete and total loss of his identity. Having spent so long scraping and clawing to be regarded as his own person instead of being seen as a copy of his mother or as one of the M.E.C’s many faceless drones, it’s no wonder that he’s more than a little cagey when it comes to being treated like well... an actual person. As for any irrational fears.... 

It’s spiders. He’s afraid of spiders.

Well, no. He doesn’t particularly care for the day itself, thinking it nothing more than just a day he has to deal with and get it over it. He’s more into the aesthetic of Valentine’s Day than the actual day itself. As for confessing and confessing to people, no and no.

SEE-NO-EVIL- whats a side of your oc that they don’t want to show to other people?

Weirdly enough, Lambda’s openness regarding his status as a vigilante/serial killer is this. But that is only surface level. Rather, it’s the violent, horrible want to lash out and hurt everything and everyone that came about as a result of everything that’s pretty much happened in his life. He knows that it’s not good to feel this way. It’s a very unhealthy reaction/coping mechanism he developed and it’s not healthy for him at all. 

So he’s all too content to put on the illusion of being fine because he knows people aren’t going to like or be comfortable with the fact that Lambda’s heart and soul cries out to take up arms and finally satiate the horrible rage that burns within him until he has finally received the justice he believes he deserves.

And now for something a little lighter! He is obsessed with speedrunning. He doesn’t actually speedrun games themselves, but rather he’s interested in the history of speedruns and all the tricks speedrunners have discovered during said runs. Though be wary, if you do ask him, you better be prepared to sit there for hours while he excitedly rambles on and on, recalling details from a video he’s watched. 

He also won’t shut up about sitcoms either.

Honestly, there’s probably a lot of them but if I had to pick one... he fondly remembers the times he used to grab a towel from the hall closet, set it down on the floor of his bedroom, turn the light on and then lay down on the towel and pretend that he was at the beach. He actually has no idea what the beach was actually like and was instead mimicking the things he’d seen people do in movies and cartoons.

Elvis has always had a presentstory(?) which is that they hang out with Lucy in the Hewn City where they don’t do much, just kinda followed Lucy’s lead in stuff like where to stand around or who to hassle for fun, until they (both of them) witnessed Sponge’s accidental prophecy situation and ended up becoming the first members of his “““court.”““ She’s also very quiet, takes things in stride, and basically never takes off her helmet. Not much initiative, can usually be found just vibin’ about five feet behind Lucy, ready for whatever she says they’re up to.

Anyway, backstory is very new and very vague and subject to change: Elvis was originally a knight or guard from a kingdom that no longer exists (specifics not important, but current idea is that it was very small and just got absorbed by somewhere larger). Elvis had... some issues that I will write out when it’s not night and I can think more clearly and left the area. They had never really traveled before, wandered around for a long time, tried settling down once or twice with varying degrees of success and eventually ended up in the Hewn City, where she met Lucy and eventually Sponge. She’s not the kind of person to get outwardly enthusiastic or share her like, personal thoughts and opinions but she is very invested. Maybe more than Lucy is, definitely more than Sponge. Sponge sees his whole situation as something scary and inconvenient that he just needs to make the best of, Lucy sees it as a novelty and exciting opportunity, Elvis sees it as something she can use to get back something she lost, and return to a time in her life that (whether or not it was actually that great) she views with severely rose colored glasses.

#elvis uses any and all pronouns its just not a priority issue for her #mainly she/they but will accept whatever and roll with it #none of this changes the fact that she is basically a comic relief character she just has depth as well #that will never come up (except maybe in one particular situation) because she would rather die than talk about herself or her feelings #actually i might lighten it up bc looking at that including things that exist only in my head its a lot but yeah #work in progress. enjoy!
