the anti-age gap people have truly just gone too far.

adults who are AWARE of any imbalance and have DISCUSSED it and not in a "wow this is hot huh" ways are not problematic because there's an age gap.

your brain is rotting. humans are not that simple. your arbitrary rules do not apply to everyone. real life is not fiction and fiction is not real life. not everyone is a predator. you do not have a private seat for everyone's relationship to have an opinion on it despite what social media makes you think.

In general I think that, because the doctor is a genuine nuisance that doesn't bother to explain things when there's no reason Not to idk, explain the plan to somebody, that there has been a loss of nuance around discussions on what they do and do not say to people.

Does the doctor keep stupid things to themselves and make a total annoyance of themselves for No reason whatsoever? Yeah, they do, often.

Does this mean that Everything they keep to themselves is fair game and they're just being rude for not being totally transparent all the time? No, it doesn't.

Just because the doctor is a jerk who doesn't fill people in over the simplest of things, doesn't mean that they're not Also entitled to their privacy and to decide who they'll tell personal information to.

Because a bunch of times, when I've pointed out that the doctor has a right to keep deeply personal information private, even from people who love them, I just get pushback that them doing this is just like them not bothering to tell people the plan to beat the bad guy of the week and that they need to get over this and just tell people things.

These things Aren't the same. While it is their character flaw to be an arrogant jerk who doesn't talk to people about things They Just Won't Understand because the doctor is sooo smart and they're not, it doesn't mean that there aren't times when they have the basic right to their own privacy regarding their own life.

Nuance. The doctor not being willing to trauma dump is not the same thing as them not telling people the plan to beat a bad guy.

This was not intended but activity is going to be severely strained for a bit; a couple days back I found out I missed a pretty important email regarding a school project of mine (my school email loves to toss anything into spam if it came from an address that’s not part of the university’s system ;-;) and have been working to get all of that sorted.

I already know this work is going to be bleeding into my semester and I’m going to have to dedicate nearly all my free time to it. But it’s why I’ve barely posted anything these last few days, and why it might still be like that for a bit. Apologies!

i feel like people need to be better at making alternate text and captions for images.

the most major point for them is to be concise and to the point for a screen reader or someone unable to see an image properly.

please imagine sitting there with your screen reader going through an image that then has text that goes into excruciating detail of every little thing in it without getting to the point.

now imagine that for every single image on your dashboard that has any form of alternate text.

it takes a really long time to go through that. So, please be more clear and up front with your descriptions for images.
