a set of illustrations/screencap redraws for five of my favorite/most formative movies, because i wanted to 1. play around with this color block style for movie studies

and 2. i love these movies and i always love when other people share their favs so i am sharing (some of) mine AS WELL

(also i redrew a cap from 2017 papillon because that movie’s got good aesthetics and i do think its a good remake BUT just know that 1973 papillon is truly my ride or die)

Something interesting I’ve learned - although I don’t know if this has a name in any other language, but in Korean this position is called “manner legs”. It refers to people stretching their legs to sink down to a smaller height so people working or filming with them could either work on their hair and makeup or appear to be their same height.
