I have this tfa au where i just yoink things from other tf continuities and make them fit tfa. It’s also the au where my OCs live. Since I’m currently obsessing over idw constructiprowl I decided to shove then in there too.
Ok so I really want to have a constructiprowl in tfa so the solution I’ve come up is there are two Prowls. One is the one that we know and the other one is pretty much g1 Prowl. Im gonna call the second one og!Prowl bc he is older that the one we have in the show.
So og!Prowl’s story is before the war he was an enforcer and during the war he was in high command( not the SIC though). However sometime during the war he was used as a scapegoat by the rest of high command and got kicked out of the army( dishonourably discharged). People he thought were his friends turned on him. He is definitely morally grey and has done some very questionable things during the war but so has the rest of high command. He didn’t deserve to be just thrown under the bus like that. He has lots of anger issues. He was very pissed over the whole thing. So high command want to get rid of him because he is too important and knows too much to just be let to his own devices so they decided to chuck him in Garrus-9. They thought that by throwing him into a prison filled with Decepticons that hate his guts they would be rid of their problem. And since he had multiple times before expressed his dislike and mistrust to cons ( even ex cons turned autobots) they were convinced that he would be all on his own. But high command had underestimated how resourceful and petty he could be. Prowl is livid and filled with so much spite it’s a wonder how he hasn’t turned into a singularity. There are no lines he isn’t willing to cross anymore. He doesn’t care. He is going to survive and he is going to make them regret that they tried to rid of him.
And you wouldn’t guess who’s also in Garrus-9. A certain recently crippled Decepticon gestalt(the g1 version). They had just lost their leader Scrapper. So with some (lots of) manipulation, some scheming and some very questionable scientific intervention Prowl gets a gestalt. (Like it takes almost a year for him to get close to the combiner team and convince them to collaborate. He tries to “befriend” them. It’s funny cuz it’s a bit of the opposite of what happens in idw. He is the one who needs them and goes around trying to gain their favour.)Does he like them? No. Does he like the idea of them being inside his head and spark? Absolutely no. Does he want to give one big middle finger to the Autobots and fuck them over by causing a prison break in one of their most secure prisons? HELL YES!
After combining the constructicons are kinda smitten with the way Prowls mind works and even though they realize he was manipulating them they are very impressed. This version of Prowl is out of shits to give and even though he is very emotionally stunted and doesn’t want emotional relationships with them he agrees to become the new leader of the team and join the Decepticons. Since he used to be part of Autobot high command the Decepticon counterpart doesn’t trust him much, even though he is very good tactician, so he stays at a relatively low rank in the con army.
It takes literally thousands of years for his relationship with the structies to develop from something more than work colleagues. It takes him soo long to admit even to himself that he has started to care about the gestalt because he is so afraid to let people in. He tried to keep the relationship strictly professional and since he is not a complete asshole to the gestalt they are fine if a bit exasperated with him.
“We are just colleagues! I am your boss! Nothing more!”
“Suuureee, boss.” The whole gestalt roll their eyes.
And before he knows it he has five boyfriends.

My biggest pet peeve in Transformers media and fanfiction sometimes is that Transformers aren't treated as aliens. They are referred to as aliens, they obviously are aliens, but they never feel like they are aliens because they are always written or seen as having all human mannerisms or features usually. Human posture, human noses, human mannerisms, humanoids...
What about TFA's cat noses or TFP's helm noses? One of the reasons I think those two shows have peak designs is because they have this lack of uncanniness to humans design wise. I'm not looking at a human being as a robot, I'm looking at an alien robot, ones that have claws, ones that have different body types that blend with their vehicle modes, ones with horrific mutilations and designs impossible by human standards. I love seeing that type of stuff in Transformers because to me, it makes them feel alien without completely changing the premises of similarities to where we can't compare their culture or likeness to humans. The films (mostly 1 and 2) showed off this as well.
Another thing I really would like to see in Transformers media is non-human interactive qualities. What do I mean by that? One thing I've noticed is aside from techno-organic species, regular Cybertronians do have a few qualities found in animals. Engine humming I believe was once used as a form of purring in the films and in some of the cartoons. Humans can't purr; cats can, and that small detail is always interesting to come across because it's like "wow, they have this feature that shows off a trait found in Cybertronians. That is so cool." You have them with multiple voice boxes for mechanical, natural, and human-like tones which is also an animal trait. Bumblebee is self-explanatory in most universes being able to still make sounds yet not talk. They have sensors across their body that don't act like the basic human receptors. Most animals can do more than just feel through certain points of their bodies. They can taste, smell, or even hear a hundred times better than a human being throughout various body parts, and Transformers have been hinted to have this ability too, especially through their servos. It's stuff like this that expands upon their existence as aliens.
They have extreme durability, their body morphs to extremes and can also double as a moving weapon (most obvious of course), some of them can make ungodly roars and creature-like noises to warn or show their threatening demeanor (Megatron's dinosaur-like growling), some can have two rows of teeth (a flat base in front and fangs hidden behind), and some of them have mimicking animal-like features (Starscream's bird-shaped feet with visible expansion the same as organic foot padding with similar distributive weight physics in a few universes) despite having no beast mode. There's probably more I can't think of on the top of my head in canon, but all those things are not heavily used as they should be to make them feel alien. They can still hold some relation to the humans they interact with, but I think a lot of Transformers are more than just metal "humans", you know?
Depending on the universe in fanfiction and who you encounter who writes it or not, you have several things that are always cool to see. They have to sparkbond (merging of hearts) above everything else to create a sparkling's life force with interface as just the extra for physical coding features. I've seen people use the non-canon heat cycles which are, of course, our fandom way of making a type of breeding euphemism akin to an animal's cycle. You have the common phrasing of nuzzling, heightened senses, armor and certain parts of the helm acting like fur or ears where it raises and flattens per their mood, and some Transformers have limb dissonance where if necessary, they can convert between bipedal and quadrupedal stances (best example is Bulkhead and Lugnut from TFA who have long arms but short legs and they have the bulky structure where they could possibly run like an animal briefly and the physics of it would work).
So, you have all these different things a common Cybertron most likely would be able to do or have but a human couldn't, and it's never utilized to their full potential. I would like to see people address the nature of Cybertronians as alien and not be afraid to make them alien. I think that's the biggest flaw in our franchise is that everyone is scared of making the Transformers not the humanoid "norm" and getting ridiculed for it. Like, they're aliens, you can make them act however animal-like or completely batshit insane as you want them. You can give them powers, animal-based senses, and behaviors hidden among a human thought process. And technically, you wouldn't be wrong to what they could be as a living creature in the universe by doing so. They aren't humans; they look humanoid, but they aren't us. Why should they have to be in every regard?
Thank you for reading my TED Talk.

"Prowl hasn't had a notable role besides TFA and IDW in years-"
I am begging you on my hands and knees to expand your Transformers knowledge or, at the very least, fact check before you say things like this. This isn't actually true at all!
No, Prowl was not in RID15 or TFP, but he did have roles in the WFC show and in Cyberverse. Reoccurring roles with notable speaking parts.
Transformers media "G1" Prowl has been in:
Tumblr media
The different "versions" of Prowl (some of these I would have put under "G1"):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not all of these are strictly big roles, but acting like TFA and IDW are the only times he's had an actual role is straight up wrong.

Ideas for AUs quality not tested:
Batman(guano-man edition aka DC comics recent cannon) gets Adopted by IDW Prowl!AU Suspicious Bastard off 12d chess
Faeformer!AU -The bots meet Fae? The bots are the fae? There are fae species of cybetronians?
G1: The Musical!AU Aka why are we singing and how do we stop?!
TFA Bots discover all the Matrices!AU
Missfire is Starscream's longlost heir!AU
TFP Megatron discovers High Magik instead of Dark Energon!AU
Optimus' TFP resurection instead was him getin possessed by Prima.
Gladator Orion Pax Rizzes Aprentice archivist Megatronus
Ok I can't possibly expand on all of these so lemme just grab my favorites!
1. When you say TFA bots discovering multiple matrices, what exactly did you have in mind?
2. Role reversal megop YES
But most importantly: holy shit I love the idea of Prima possessing Optimus! The gods have been watching in silence for millions near billions of years, and they are completely fed up with their mortals creations' bs. When Prima sees his brother on the verge of death with the tainted Matrix, he finally decides that enough is enough.
When "Optimus" returns, he's very clearly not himself. Where he was gentle, reserved, and emotionless, Prima is incredibly strict, haughty, and full of righteous, thunderous anger. The God of Order and Divine Judgement has every intention to clean up the mortals mess, and he'll be as heavy handed as he pleases. He cares for cybertronians as a species, not so much as individuals. Each of the individuals on earth are deeply flawed and rife with putrid sin, and he'll cleanse and correct every single one of them without mercy
Tbh this has been playing on repeat in my mind ever since I first read it. I can already hear his judgements and punishments for a few of them! But we'll first go with Megatron, because now that Optimus has been dealt with, he's at the top of the list.
He beholds Megatron with intense disdain and disappointment: "You've fallen so far from grace, you've forgotten everything you originally fought for! Where is the freedom you promised? Where is the fairness, where is the justice? You dared to seek solace in Unicron, and for that you shall lose all that you've worked for!"
The punishment he gives Megatron is rather sinister: he peels away all of his progress, takes away everything that makes him who he is today. He erases all of his gladiator experience, turns back time on his body and reinstates the way he was when he was still just Disposable #16. He warps and winds back his personality, putting him back into the mindset of that softspoken, hopeful little poet who used to dream of a free utopia, while still leaving him all of his memories of all the atrocities he's committed, how many lives he's snuffed and how many worlds have burned over the course of the fighting. He is once again D-16 in mind, body, and soul, but now haunted by all the horrific things he did and witnessed as Lord Megatron. His suffering will be his penance 😌
I really really really love this AU so please for the love of god let this pick up!!

Cybertronian lifespans
One thing about tfa cannon that drives me insane is the timeline and consequentially the unclear average length of a transformers life. Because according to the AllSpark Almanac, Alpha Trion is a few billion years old??? And true, he is considered ancient but that’s just too much. At the same time bots like Ultra Magnus and Ratchet, who judging by the timeline should be around 14 mil years? (Magnus is at least 12) are considered old, which fair, but there’s a really big difference between a few million and a few billion. At the same time the Decepticons should be around the same age as Magnus but we are never made to perceive them as old (as far as I can remember). So here are my head cannons to deal with this problem. Alpha Trion is an outlier. Normal Cybertronians do not live this long. The only reason he lives this long is due to godly intervention. He is serving a higher power and would not die (of old age, he can still be killed) until his duty is fulfilled. So how long would be the average cybertronian lifespan? I would say around 30 to 40 million, with war frames tending to live a bit longer than civilian frames. Any Cybertronian under 1 million would be considered young even if they are an adult. Around 5 to 10 million would be the human equivalent of 25-30 years old- not young but not old either. And from 15 mil upwards would be old. Due to the war there aren’t that many 30+ million year olds left.
Now because Autobots live on Cybertron and their population get renewed their perception for what old is would be different from that of a Decepticon’s.
Now with their lifespans in mind the next point of consideration would be reproduction. How often are new Cybertronians forged and how many? And in such a way that they don’t have an overpopulation problem. My take is that hotspots yield between a few dozens to a few hundred new sparks once every few thousands of years. Cybertron has a way (maybe through Vector Sigma)to keep track of how many Cybertronians there are on the planet and according to that to activate the hotspots. After the war there was a big baby boom because of the great decrease of Cybertron’s population. That’s why there are so many young Autobots and why their perception on what old is has changed. Currently the hot spots have considerably slowed down in comparison to how many new sparks they were pumping out in the fist few hundreds of thousand of years after the war.
The reason why there were shortage of resources at the end of the Age of Expansion was because majority of the war frames were off planet fighting wars, Cybertron could’t keep track of them and started producing more sparks that it could sustain. Once the fighting stopped and war frames returned home there was a bit of an overpopulation problem.

How did you come up The idea of project and how did he come to be like what sparked your mind to create him? I’m very curious.
Tumblr media
Project started out as a “what if he was there in the tfa series”
He had his personality, and his design in set but had no actual background, no interest, and no story. Basically made for fun, and for me to keep to myself privately since
1. I was kinda anxious for what might people say about my character
2. I didn’t have a good following as I do now to share
Pre-Project design:
Pre-Project had quite the cartoonish style like design when I first made him
His shape and body design was kinda hard to come up and puzzle piece it together, but nevertheless, this is what I had set down on digital paper
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some of Project’s design was inspired by an old friends art style on megaman
(I’m not into megaman, nor will I get into it, maybe someday :V)
It starts out as a fun little thing for me, myself and I, but then later forgot about him due to my expanding interest in other things
Then somehow, the character came back into my mind as I was scrolling through old art and decided to give this another try
And also ROTB brought back my fixation in transformers :,)
Spoilers for in future comics:
Small Bio of Present Project:
Project, not only is he a seeker, but is a alien robot like Team Optimus and the rest
He is not an Autobot, nor a Decepticon. Heck he’s not even a- shhhhhhh
Nevertheless, PJ is a laidback, extrovert, quick-thinking guy, who knows what to do and how to execute it, hence why he’s named Project by his parents (basically the “three steps ahead” trope personality)
Projects kind of love is to mess/joke around with the ones he cares about, but will always be there for you. He can go on and on about his interest, and that good chisme to which your become so drawn to what he got to say
Though of his chill nature, he tends to become distant when something is bothering him. In his distracted state, or when things go so wrong, he becomes frozen. Does this have to do with the fact that he might hear someone calling his name, yet no one said anything to him.
Or with the fact that he sees things that seem out of place, or those who aren’t there. Maybe even seeing things that caught his eyes that trigger a bad memories.
Why does it seem like he’s trying to block out anything of hurt from his mind. “Out of site, out of mind?”
How about when he interpreted words aim to him that are so negative, he takes it the wrong way, and becomes cautious. Yet no one said anything negative…
Hmm…
When meeting Project:
1. If y’all meet and get to know each other in a good way, he welcomes you with open arms, drops “the proper” act and starts to mess around with you, makes jokes, tells you all the tea/chisme that even your ancestors would be invested to hear
2. If y’all meet in a bad way, he stays as far away from you, just giving you that silent treatment, maybe even hear some snide comments in Spanish from him, or just straight up giving you that stink eye (lol side eye)
So this is the gray area
Although, it doesn’t always have to be that way though. You can earn his trust when doing good deeds, or maybe just saving him from danger, or when he saves you. He will start to warm up around you :)
Heck, who knows, maybe even become friends
3. If y’all meet in the worst way possible, like you hurting him, hurting his friends/family, and/or you become the root of all evil and vile… oh babes, you’re dead to him
Facts about Project (the updated version):
P.S: they are canon
1. He speaks Spanish
2. He can play music in his Speaker
3. The gem placement in his forehead is his heart/soul (tf terms, that’s his spark)
4. Schizophrenic
5. He does have parents :) (I’m not cliché bruv)
6. The blue side of his face is not his natural color (his face was never divided/split to begin with)
7. He likes to sing, and create murals/graffiti art
8. Can play the guitar
9. Loves to build and tinker up some nice gadgets
10. His fighting technique consists of acrobats, dance, jumping and moving so quickly. Planners got to think creatively, you can’t just be plain. Agility through the roof.
11. Loves to fly so much, the wind make him feel so free and relief.
In Conclusion:
Overall, I am so happy to see my character come this far from being kept to myself, to him finally being shared and coming into the limelight.
Although, there are some rough edges that are in need of soothing out, some that I’m aware, and some that I’m not aware, I am proud to see my character being loved by all of you :) ❤️
And thank you so much for being here, loving my work and everything

Starscream stopped mid rant when he heard BA and Sentinel's ages. Rendered him speechless. He's spluttering and gesticulating wildly. Total loss for words. Megatron would rib him over it but he's stuned himself.
Megatron, "We've been fighting literal children the whole time we've been on this accursed dirt ball?!"
BA who has dropped to the floor has been clasped to the bosom of a loudly verklempt Lugnut who is very upset that they turned her into a youngling soldier and the Autobot Negligence that let her get icky organic-ed when she should have been being cherished by her creators.
Blitzwing looking at Sentinel, "They put Newsparks in the care of a mechling?! This is serious. Oooh we'll need to expand zee nursery!"
Sentinel feeling lost and confused, "What in the pit are mechlings, younglings, and sparklings anyways?"
"Deceptacon specific developmental stages, you idiot." BA snarling from Lugnut's embrace.
Starscream recovering himself to give an impromptu leson in CYBERTRON developmental mechanobiology.
Bee and Bulkhead are legit early teens and preteens when they got ejected from boot camp. The Deceptacons are learning this because of a muttering paceing Sentinel. Because on one hand preposterous, on the other it explains so much.
Exactly yes yes, it takes quite a lot to make Starscream speechless but that did the trick
Sdfhhfd oh Lugnut yes, hugging BA because now the cons are thinking about all the times they sent her into battle and had her working on science shit too, and how the Autobots downright abandoned her and let her get spidery. But also because we all HC that Lugnut and Strika are very parental people
Blitzwing is over here planning yes yes (his facets may argue, but they full well agree on this. How they'll go about it however will vary)
Mmmm our favorite, unplanned biology lessons!
Yep yep, and considering what I've seen of that tfa episode I'd suggest Bulkhead is a little older than Bumblebee for the factor of him having lived on an energon farm for a little while, but with Bumblebee we get back shit of his pre boot camp life beyond "having dreamed of being part of the elite guard" which is starting to make me consider a situation where he (at LEAST him, if not him and Bulkhead) wasn't kicked out of boot camp.
This also makes me ask questions about if Shockwave would know or not, and in general his pov in this sitch

i didnt understand why reylo got too much and i wish finnpoe should canon and i wish john should stop defend tros
When you look back at the way Reylo was received back in 2016-2019, the whole uproar it caused was kind a insane for such a tame ship. You would think that Rey and Kylo brutalized one another beyond recognition with the way people were describing it People seriously treated that ship like it was some kind of fandom bogeyman and it was an object of mockery and contempt for years. You had people calling Reylos abuse apologists, school shooter apologists, and “the sort of people who would endorse fascists” over a couple from a Disney franchise.
As for finnpoe, I really hate the fact that it never had a chance of being canon. And if that wasn’t enough, both Finn and Poe got respective love interests in TROS who both had about as much personality and charm as a cold slice of untoasted bread. TROS was an atrocity for many reasons and that one is certainly up there on the list.
I’m also still confused as to why John was so defensive of TROS when arguably it did him the worst out of all three movies. TFA gave him a strong character arc and TLJ had used that foundation to expand on Finn’s journey from storm trooper to a resistance hero. Obviously both movies weren’t perfect with how they handled his character, but they’re at least better than the movie where he was back to pining after Rey and getting a half- hearted “oh he was force sensitive all along!” reveal. It’s just very puzzling to witness him critique elements of the sequels that did a disservice to his character while at the same time, lauding the movie that did him the dirtiest.

Terraformer AU: Basic 1
Masterlist
When I think of the techno-organic sparklings in my AU, one that takes places after the end of Lost Light were everyone gets their happy ending, I think about Sari from tfa in some way, when she first appeared in the show as what she really was it was so incredible that I, as a child, couldn't stop myself from thinking how cool was that, same with the Terrans from tfes.
She didn't need energon in all her life, she grows up just like a human and could look human while also looking like a cybertronian, Sari is, in some way, a part of evolution of her whole race, just like the Maltos, since they don't really need energon, they just drink water to keep going and that is also a form of adaptation to their surrounding.
With the sparklings in my AU since they are a mix, a protoform that scanned human DNA and cybertronian CNA, it gets to look more like the latter, but so still have some particularities of the organic/human side.
They need less energon to live on but they also have something similar to human taste buds, and so energon sometimes can be described as bland in flavor and they prefer flavored options, they like human food but they can also consume living matter, (quite upsetting for some cybertronians since what they are eating was once ALIVE), they don't excrete since their bodies consume to the last atom of organic matter, worst case escenario they will throw up what can't be digested (and also learn not to eat it again, kind of get an stomachache)
Funny thing, they also produce oxygen and nitrogen to some degree (Perceptor noticed when Sunset catched fire in outer space) having something similar to a little atmosphere around them but they don't rust when exposed to water or oxygen, Brainstorm had the brilliant idea of calling them Terraformers, since, well, they could terraform the original environment around them (Mariah stayed in a planet with an atmosphere rich in methane and where she stayed the most started to have more oxygen, living and organic matter expanding around) with the given oxygen and the radiation of their sparks (the degree is optimal to the development of microorganisms) they are quite well looked and welcomed back in Earth.
It's good, but not for the organics with bodies that react aggressively bad to this components (there are planets or sectors that the kids can't go without being taken as biochemical weapon or an intent of colonization), since many species are afraid of cybertronian mechs the news of these hybrids are quite an alarm.

I guess…I’m going to fight the infamous Octane! Hahaha! I’m so screwed…
Little something from my fan continuity workshopping. I did just draw TFA Swindle’s design here though because I felt like it.
But yeah! This event would take place on Cybertron before the Autobot Decepticon war during the Combaticon Uprising. Which is a whole thing in the story. The timeline is a little loose as of now, but it’s an important event. Origins of Bruticus and beginning of Swindle’s friendship with Octane. I can expand on it some if you all like ! But for now here’s this concept scene.

I never make memes because I suck at making them, but I thought I'd try my hand at making one for TFE. This is so heavily inspired by that famous TFE meme that I first saw posted on reddit and then saw posted again on here. I felt that it needed a part 2 because the TFE haters have been extra exhausting lately. 😩
*This isn't just a meme post, this is also a scene playing in my head and basically a jumble of thoughts. Can you guess which character I represent? 🤣
EarthSpark haters: This show is woke garbage! The character designs are horrible and the voice acting is subpar! This show is grooming children and forcing gender politics onto our precious children blah blah blah! 😡😤
EarthSpark: A refreshing new take on the TF franchise that redefines what it means to be family, through the lens of a beautiful POC family that adopt a new species of Transformers called "Terrans". The Terrans are born on earth and are adopted into the loving Malto Family, where they form a strong bond with the Malto Kids, Robby and Mo. Although the show's main target audience is children, the enjoyment of this show is not limited to kids because many EarthSpark lovers are not kids, and this show is meant to be wholesome and action packed.
This adaptation shows the viewers that Decepticons are not inherently bad and being bad is a choice. We see that some Decepticons just want to live in peace and do not want to harm people, but because of the insignia that they wear, they are forever branded as the villain. However, despite this, some Decepticons are genuine friends with Autobots in this show, showing that at the end of the day, Decepticons and Autobots are still the same species and friendship goes beyond a label.
The first piece of TF media to introduce a non-binary character (the main cause of all the hate that TFE receives 😑), that is such an amazing character whose personality does not centre around their gender identity. As seen in the new batch of episodes released on March 3rd, that EarthSpark haters conveniently did not watch.
People who haven't seen it: I mean, it's pretty hard to form an opinion when we haven't actually watched the show yet. But we find the amount of hate that this show receives absolutely ridiculous. To hate on a show that you know nothing about, beyond the selective parts that you choose to hate is just sad. Maybe try watching the show first before you bash it? How do you know that Nightshade's personality will "centre around them being non-binary" if you haven't even watched the show yet? 🤨
How is this show "woke garbage"? Do you just have a problem with POC being the main humans? Or do you foolishly expect every piece of TF media to be identical to the G1 series or [insert preferred TF adaptation here]? Did you know that adaptations are meant to be a retelling of an existing story by incorporating new elements to further expand the story and offer a new take? Did you know that it's okay to add a variety of different characters from all walks of life, whether they are LGBTQ+, POC, disabled, non-binary, etc? These people exist in real life and it's good to teach kids this so that if they identify as any of these, they will know that it's normal and that they are not alone. They will feel seen!
We may watch TFE because it looks interesting and we like the Transformers franchise, and we want to see Transformers being Transformers! Or we may not watch TFE, but we won't bash it because we have not seen it!
EarthSpark lovers: We find the amount of hate that this show receives quite sad, because we absolutely love the direction that this show is going! We haven't had a TF show centred around family bonds since TFA! We really like the idea of a brand new species of Transformers being born on earth, and we like that they are adopted into the Malto Family vs just being seen as friends. This adds more depth and makes these characters even more interesting.
We find it cool that although the Terrans are these highly advanced, highly intelligent robotic beings, they still act like children and have their childish moments that consist of sibling rivalry, innocent naivety caused by them only being online for what, a few weeks in S1A? and other adorable childish moments.
This show may be marketed towards kids, but the amount of positive messages and themes shown is beautiful. Even more "sensitive" topics are present in this show, which is wonderful because kids should know about them.
Teamwork
Family bonds
Friendship
Giving second chances
Healthy discussions on gender identity
Racism
We like that TFE has given us G1 Daddy Optimus back, with his goofy dad moments. Too funny! And why is Bumblebee handsome AND adorable at the same time?!! 🥺🥺 He's just so precious in this adaptation!
We like the little details like Mo wearing a bonnet to bed to protect her gorgeous curls, or Robby being a hard-core gamer. Or Alex wanting to share his Filipino culture with his children and pass down traditions that he and his grandfather shared. We like that Dot is passionate about animals and enjoys bird watching. She's also a war veteran and has a disability, but she's still a badass! We like the Malto Family as a whole because they are such a nice family and they must be protected at all costs!!!
Ultimately, it is impossible to narrow down everything that we love about TFE in one post, because there is just SO MUCH GOOD with this show!
The character designs
The voice cast
The positive messages
The Terrans
Representation for POC
Representation for non-binary people
Daddy Optimus
Uncle Megatron
Uncle Bumblebee
Aunt Elita-1
Big sister Arcee
Not all Decepticons are bad
Dot and Megs' friendship
The sound design
And many, many, MANY more things!
Here is the TFE meme I drew inspiration from:
Tumblr media
I can't seem to find the original reddit post anymore. Did it get deleted? But anyway, this meme is beautiful and if you're the OP of this meme and you see this post, thank you! I was thinking the same thing when I first saw this scene from "H.O.U.S.E. Rules".
*Edit: I've been adding to the list of things that EarthSpark lovers love lol so far I added Dot and Megs' friendship and The sound design, and I will probably continue to add more points in the future :)
If you made it to the end, thank you! 😊 That's all for now ~

actually, speaking of lore consistency, i've been thinking about a lot of the tie-in material for the sequels here lately and i have to say there's a lot less consistency I feel like than there could have been. and i'm not just talking charles soule 'oh fuck what tfa said about the fall of luke's temple actually', but like...generally speaking i feel like so much emphasis being put on, at the time, that everything expanded 'verse worked consistently with the films, actually harmed the perception of the films themselves.
because when you divorce the films from their book/comic tie-ins, they flow very well. better than typical criticism will have you think (and before anyone brings up Rey's parentage, first off I lived through tasm2. that shit WAS nonsensical. second off, traumatized brains genuinely work like that. doylist explanation of the writers waffling - something very common in star wars, unless you've forgotten luke and leia's romance fizzling out because hanleia was more popular and george last second retconning them to be sibs - could be criticized, but the watsonian explanation that Rey's memories are that badly fucked up from trauma fits. source: my memories are that badly fucked up from trauma). the only thing is that the movies don't remain consistent with the tie-in material.
which, duh. they're the source material, not these one-shots. the opening scrawl of tfa says that leia has support of the senate behind her with the resistance, which is why poe introduces himself as commander of the new republic fleet. it's why the resistance is in dire straits in tfa/tlj, they just lost their support system. but tie-in material built off a deleted scene, where the senate largely doesn't take the resistance seriously. so we wind up in this bizarre land of "the senate didn't support the resistance but actually they did". if it had been better fleshed out, it would've worked (my partner came up with a great explanation for how both would work and it's simply not there in the 'canon' text). then you have the poe comics, which decides that despite tfa making it extremely clear that looking for tekka was ren's responsibility (with battlefront ii backing this by having him torture del), we get....random first order intelligence officer being in charge of the hunt, because soule was more interested in doing mission impossible-esque stories than the kinds of stories that would better fit the tekka search. this isn't even counting the back and forth of poe's character development in the comics (listen i love those comics, but there's a LOT of two steps forward, three steps back, especially in regards to Poe handing Tekka over. That arc perfectly set up Poe from BTA growing into the Poe we see in the films, annnnnnnnnnnnnd then Soule like. retracted it in the very next issue. This does not upset me in the slightest, why do you ask [chewing through drywall] and like. poe and leia have no familial dynamic to them in those comics either, to the point that watching tlj for the first time was a tRIP for me because i had a !!! oh!!! they're family!!! moment bc that's not present in the comics, with the exception of maybe l'ulo's funeral)
and of course my favorite example of the source material going "ew wtf" is tros just. point blank. saying "who the fuck is resistance reborn?" specifically through poe. iconic, showstopping, i love it to pieces because that novel deserves a slow death rotting at the bottom of the ocean.
the best tie-in material is often either ones built AFTER the films all released (looking at u free fall) or the rare time you can tell the author genuinely loves the characters/era and writing it isn't just a gig. my point is i think by having authors largely ignoring the canon text, and making this very inconsistent lore built around a deleted scene, etc, very seriously harmed the sequels.
