****Edit 04/08/23 : making some big changes but I think these will be way better!!

So I think I finally got all the SepAU movie plot fully down!

In the fight to get the key back, Donnie gets taken instead of Raph when Mikey’s escape pod gets destroyed and Donnie gives him his own. And though they lose the fight and have to retreat, it does go better…but also worse than the one in canon. The Technodrome gets pulled through earlier than the movie, but the Third Kraang gets killed.

Kraang Prime chooses to replace him with Donnie (a brother for a brother after all) but that backfires when Donnie and the Technodrome merge and They become too powerful to control—become more than just a tool for the Kraang.

And later, while They might eventually kill Kraang Prime for their brothers’ benefit—it doesn’t necessarily mean They are willing to be parted. Even if They have to fight Their brothers to remain as one.

Do you ever think about Donnie and the Technodrome. Do you ever think about how in order to use it, he had to shed the very thing that had saved him from grievous injury or death time and again, to entrust his body at its most vulnerable to an invasive, completely alien construction. How the Krang’s machinery straddles the line between technological and organic, how Krang Three hardly needed to open his eyes to pilot the Technodrome and try to kill Donnie and Mikey, how deeply the connection between ship and pilot has to run for it to work at all. How the Technodrome reshaped itself to project Donnie’s face, while his body lay comatose in its inner chambers. How suddenly that connection was severed when Krang One discovered them. How Donnie might remember it. How he might still feel the cool, wet matter spreading up and around his soft shell, while his mind interlaces with technology that was not meant for his biology, remembering the sensation in his sleep. Am I the only one who thinks Donnie would actually WANT to attach to the technodrome again?

My dad convinced me of this after our watch of the movie together, my resident Donatello and technology expert, so here goes.

Obviously, I don’t think Donnie enjoyed being RIPPED from the technodrome, and the connection process isn’t the cleanest thing, but those are the only two downsides really.

Think of what you gain. Complete control of a massive spaceship with all its crazy technology. Control at a thought, not the press of a button or flip of the wrist, a thought. All you have to do is think something and the ship will MAKE IT HAPPEN!! Do you have any idea how impressive that technology is? How incredible that feeling would be? This is the PINNACLE of technology, a once in a lifetime experience that Donnie may spend his entire life trying to recreate. I’m sure Donnie would love to do it again.

It’s like- everything he’s ever wanted.

Ripping him out might’ve been the only way to get him out.

Like, imagine there were still pieces that survived the explosion. And technodrome is a living being that slowly tries to rebuiled itself by sending the signal to all its parts.

And this will include Donnie. He was a part of it, he liked it, they spoke in an unconsiouss way.

So one day Donnie will suddenly experience weird flashbacks, both revoulting and exciting. He would notice the pink glow from his eyes from time to time.

And he will hear the song that no one else can hear.

Blink and he is suddenly deep in the sewers with something rustling around him.

The song is louder, he doesn’t hear his anxious thoughts anymore, only the promise of repeating that perfect feeling.

He steps forward with a reaching hand.
