Hidden Hatred | V.

summary: You’re a new Overlord and meet Vox for the first time. Who knew what that first interaction would do for the both of you down the line.

pairing: Vox x witch Overlord!reader

includes: name calling, mentions of murder, technically enemies to lovers, Vox being whipped by you, jealously, suggestiveness, teasing, fluff, angst if you squint, (let me know if i missed any!)

When you became an Overlord, you quickly recognized all the other Overlords at meetings, matching their personality to name. For example, Alastor’s voice effects gave the illusion of a radio, hence Radio Demon. Or Carmilla and her pointe shoes made of angelic steel. However, there were some Overlords who never attended the meetings, sending in one of the associates in place. The Vees being the only Overlords to do so, typically sending the youngest to attend the meetings. In doing this, you never met the others, refusing to associate online presence with their real self.

So when Vox came in place for Velvette for one of the Overlord meetings, you were slightly confused.

“Vox, how lovely for you to join us this afternoon.” Carmilla gestured toward the Television Demon across the table, her stare sharp when he tapped away on his phone.

“Uh-huh, can we make this quick? I have a company to run.” He threw her a bored look and scanned the rest of the room, noticing a new face. “Who the hell is this bitch?”

Your face jumps in surprise at his words before giving him a small smile. “It’s—“

“You know what? I don’t give a shit.” Vox glanced back at his phone. “Please, continue Carmilla.”

You huff, conjuring up red wisps from your fingertips to mess with while the meeting continues. You thought dealing with Velvette when you first met was a pain, but Vox was ten times worse than she was, and you just met! He seemed interesting, and you never expected a demon Overlord to have a television for a head, but his disinterest in you put you in a sour mood. You genuinely wanted to understand how he was an Overlord, but it seemed impossible with his nature.

“Now dear, let’s not think of murderous thoughts.” Alastor hummed in your direction when he saw you send a death glare toward the Television Demon as you left the meeting room, to which you only received an eye roll back. “Only I can have an enemy like him.”

“Al, during our short break he told me to fuck off and shoved his finger in my face!” You seeth as your eyes glow red with more wisps emitting from your fingers. “I’m going to murder him.”

Alastor caught your arm, “You will not do such things to an Overlord. If he appears at the next meeting and continues to act rude toward one of our gracious ladies, please tell me.”

“Of course, Al.” You snap your fingers, creating a portal to your Overlord territory. “I’ll see you in a month.”

Although you weren’t going to see all the Overlords in one place for a month, that didn’t mean a certain Television Demon consumed your thoughts because of your behavior toward one another during one meeting. It seemed as if every piece of technology reminded you of him, causing some unwanted thoughts to form during wanting times.

Much like you, Vox’s thoughts were filled to the brim of you. How has he never met you? How has Velvette never mentioned a new Overlord in Pentagram City? Oh, he wanted to know more about you. It was only a matter of time before he realized he was entirely whipped by your presence.

“What’s up your ass?” Velvette stepped inside the elevator with Vox as he messed with his suit for the nth time. She already had a suspicion something was up when he decided to tag along for the meeting, but he was acting nervous for a group of people he disrespected. How the fuck does that even work? “Vox.”

“What?” He whipped his head over to his shorter associate as the elevator door dinged.

She gave him an unimpressed look, “What’s going on in your system? You look like you’re going to reboot any second now.”

“Do I?” He reached up to touch his screen, pulling out his phone for vitals.

Velvette furrowed her brows at his reaction when they walked into the meeting room, a couple of other Overlords mingling amongst themselves. “Okay, what’s the fucking problem? Is there someone you—“

“Vox and Velvette.” Carmilla took her slow strides into the room, quickly diminishing the added noise. “To what do we owe the pleasure of two out of the three Vees?”

“This fuck wanted to join me for no reason.” Velvette jabbed her thumb in Vox’s direction, earning a snort from you. All heads turned as you covered your mouth, letting a quick apology fall from your lips.

Carmilla raised a brow, “Thank you… We’ll start off with the…”

Her voice soon became white noise to Vox as he took his seat, glancing up at you every few seconds. God, he hated the way you would quietly speak with Alastor or how you made eye contact with him just to break it with a glare. He hated the way you always dressed to your heart's content and how you failed to respond to Carmilla when asked a question. He hated how he failed to actually hate you.

“Vox, you’re wrecking Carmilla’s table,” Velvette murmured in his direction as Vox’s claws dug deeper into the table’s top.

He looked down at the table, pulling his claws out. He was too focused on your quiet laughter with Alastor to notice the damage. As your quiet laughter subsided, you made eye contact with Vox again before glancing down at the claw marks, and raising a brow at the television.

‘It’s boring.’ Vox mouthed toward you.

You pursed your lips at him, not understanding the game he was playing. ‘Of course it is, it always is.’

Vox rolled his eyes in a joking manner, shooting his attention back to the Overlord in front of the table. You, on the other hand, shot a quizzical look toward him. Sure, your dead heart sped up a bit, and you felt your face warm, but it was only an exchange of two sentences. You felt the red wisps emit from your fingertips again from confusion, pulling at the soft fog created by the magic.

“My dear, what’s gotten you all out of sorts?” Alastor caught up with you when the meeting adjourned with a sharpened grin, noticing your encounter with the Television Demon.

“What do you mean?” You glance back at Vox who offered you a small smirk. Waving him off, you let a small smile slip through.

“That, my dear!” He squinted his eyes toward the television. “Don’t fraternize yourself with him, he’s involved in too much trouble.”

You tilt your head back to Alastor, “We’re in Hell, I can’t think of any reason why anyone would not be in trouble.”

“What I mean to say is don’t get too comfortable with that… thing. It’s not ideal.” His ears fell flat as you paid zero attention to him.

“I won’t. Plus, I’m sure he got bored and bothered the first person he saw. After all, he did tell me to fuck off during the last meeting.” You tuck your arms behind your back. “Don’t worry so much about me, Al. I can handle myself just fine.”

“I’m not worried about you, I’m worried about the man you’re associating yourself with.” He patted your head. “Until next time, my dear.”

You watch as he slips away with his shadows, rolling your eyes at his antics. It was highly unlikely that you would start a friendship with Vox, considering the people he lives with. Alastor had nothing to worry about, it was just a moment of boredom consuming the both of you.

At least, that’s what you told yourselves. Satan knows that the first interaction was uncalled for, but it wasn’t Vox’s fault. No, he blamed himself for the image he had to uphold and being struck by a new Overlord’s looks. But as time passed, along with meetings, the urge to see each other became stronger, resulting in meetings outside of the Carmine building.

Literally.

“Doll, you take way too long to get here.” Vox pulled you toward him by your hand, linking them together.

“Aw, I’m sorry. Were you too scared to be here all on your own? Too afraid there are no bodyguards to protect you?” You tease with a wide grin. You watch as he rolls his eyes at you, tugging you closer. You laugh while patting his chest, “I had to deal with an incompetent sinner. I know you wanted to spend more time together before the meeting.”

“You have to make it up to me now.” He smiled down at you, eyes filled with admiration.

You hum, your own eyes gleaming in such a lovesick look. “Like what, Mister Vox? How should I make it up to you?”

“Oh, I don’t know.” He tilted your head further up, the electricity over his hat reflecting his fast heartbeat. “What do you think?”

“I think…” You flit your gaze to his lips before moving them back up to meet his eyes. “I shouldn’t be in debt to you.”

“Is that so, doll?” He squints as he tightens his hold on you. “I think I’m deserving of something at least.”

“Mm, no.” You squeeze his hand. He gives you a playful look before leaning down and pressing a soft kiss to your lips. You grin before reciprocating, using your free hand to hold his shoulder. The both of you separate, eyes fluttering open with soft smiles. “Must you defy me, handsome?”

“Only when I want to.” He whispered against your lips as he pressed more kisses on your lips. You giggle as you let your red wisps emit from your fingers, watching as your wisps pull him away from you. “Doll…”

“Mm?” You stay still as he continues to get pulled away by your powers.

“What are you doing?”

You flick your wrist, the wisps disappearing. “Nothing, you’re the one moving away from me.” Vox grabs at your waist, pulling you flush against him. You squeal as he peppers kisses across your face, “Vox, we could be seen.”

“Who’s going to come down this alleyway?” He left one last kiss on your lips, smiling as a fool would.

“The other Overlords who are going to attend the meeting.” You push his screen away as you catch the time on your watch. “I thought you didn’t want anyone to know?”

“Yeah, but they should know you’re taken.” He squeezed your waist.

“You want them to think we hate fuck each other?” You grab his wrists as they sway you around. “You know they still think we hate each other right?”

“Who said we don’t?” He bared his teeth to you, earning an eye roll. “You can’t tell me you don’t like it—“

“Shut up.” You sucker punch his shoulder. “The Tech Overlord dating the Witch Overlord? Never.”

“Never.” He linked your hands again, leaving a soft kiss on your knuckles. “I despise you.”

“Horrible thought.” You pull him along out of the alley, separating as soon as you see Alastor appear out of the shadows. You watched the Radio Demon send you a sharpened grin, which you returned with a small smile.

Although you kept your relationship a secret from the likes of sinners and Overlords, both the Technology Overlord and Witch Overlord knew what they were to each other, even if that meant it was kept hidden.

Red scarf is iconic to him and made him stand out even if its a bit plain… but other than the old design, new design kitt recently has made im ssooooooo inlove with how he became so …. HE LOOKS SASSY AT ONE POINT LOOOKING AT HIM FOR HOURS . his old design with his iconic hands on his hips pose already made me think he was all shiny sassy star that everyone praises of lllolololol 7_7 character wise by personality is great overall , he’s a code yet he is so , humane that being the therapist plus saviour is tiring even for a code sobbbb ilove gushing about freedom guy if u can’t tell

( i cant decide with scribs and rose ) ,,, character wise!!! ive seen a little bit of scribbles story and im cheering so hard scribs is so cool and with the programmer lore and everything going on is super interesting and all overall really cool character , easy to doodle when im bored in school

> VIX - oh jeez . can we get vix neutered . / LIGHTHEARTED JOKE ... Unique creature , i love the head design even though it sometimes confuses me when i try to doodle the back of vix :9 ., character wise .. freaky .... you a freak girl!!! also!!! I LOVE cannibal characters when they're all actually attached to a person then they soemtimes can't get over the thought of eating them ( filling them with guilt ) i love when cannibals feel bad for what they are ( technically its a parasite for vix's case but still!!! )

Ghost Helpline part 3. Diana was shocked, hurt and elated all at once! “Your grandmother is Pandora?! I did not know that she even had a child! I am ecstatic to meet you Konstelacio. Oh my I call you cousin?” This was it! as far apart as the separation between Pandora and Themyscia may be Diana would take any family she could. The loneliness of childhood gnawed at her.

“Oh no! I’m not Pandoras Grandchild!” The girl crossed and uncrossed her arms into an X to show her dismissal, “She is a good mentor! And a wonderful family confidant! If anything she’s like my Nanny.”

Constantine began to sweat buckets.

Diana shouted, “Wait…is Pandora…” lips thinned.

“A ghost ? Yes”

- Tim stared at Konstelacio, she had begun to breathe deeply, averting her eyes from Wonder Woman, feet shuffling together. She was exhibiting shame. And Tim understood the feeling well, that you were too unworthy to even be held in comparison to someone else. Someone whose shoes you could never even dream of filling. “Do Demons have grandmas?” Uhhh speedsters.

“Yes”

“That’s so cool! Who’s yours?”

“I don’t know.”

Oh oh those golden eyes looked tired. As tired as Jason’s eyes had been after his first gala, Dick thought. They may have both been adopted but Jason was treated to so much contempt being from the streets, so much fake pity. /Oh poor kid doesn’t even know who his mom is./Dick knew Jason hated it all.

“I’m sorry!”

“It’s okay. It doesn’t matter.”

/It doesn’t matter Dick! Just drop it!/ the eldest robin frowned.

Damian tsked, “What about your parents? I would suppose even monsters need those? Also landing community service instead of some harsher punishment must mean you have some connection to authority in your ‘realm’ no?”

The little girl grinned, “Yes something like that.”

She has nearly everyone in the room duped, Constantine side eyed the Bats nearly. He knew that smile; a tad too wide eyes, a fraction to tight smile, the inexplicable about of understanding and kindness up until this point… this was the grin of a con artist.

- “I know quite a lot of important people! Why Pandora herself is my nanny! And my supervisor is my uncle.”

“Tsh- is that not a conflict of interest?”

“Doesn’t matter,” John wished he was allowed to smoke in space, “No more wasting time, now that we know you can help us what’s your price?”

“Hhhuuu what? Oh the price for the antidote will have to come later, after all you technically aren’t getting it from me. I’ll have to ask nanna and whoever else decides to help what the want. It’s only fair.”

“We see,” Batman’s low tone sounded. “And the dragon-“

Her hand stuck out shyly, “Tips are always welcomed tho…after all I am still providing a service.”

“We don’t …”

“It takes me a lot of energy and time to help you mortals so much. I’m so tired already.”

Batman’s mouth stilled, “We-“

A blur of red, “Oh are you hungry? Do you need anything? Let me get you a chair, snacks..”

“No no chair! Nothing is going threw that circle !” Constantine yelled, “Do you have any idea what could happen!”

“She’s a child!”

“She’s a demon!”

“Constantine is right.”

“Bats you can’t be serious, just look at her?”

“Flash we know your intentions are in the right place but we just can’t risk it! We also can’t risk not clearly defining what she considers a tip.” Zatanna signed how long have they been here, the girl looked harmless enough but something about her made her skin crawl.

“A favor would be nice! Especially from the red one!”

“See who knows what she could end up asking for.”

“Oh I see I’m sorry,” she looked down dejected, “ I do suppose no one carries favors for ladies around anymore hhhmmm and none of you have handkerchiefs? Awww”

“Why would you want something like that ?!?” Diana was horrified, her to be cousin was a child! No men, man, demon should be giving her favors to begin a courtship! “Flash!”

“Oh no no I wasn’t defending you to-“

“I know I know I just wanted one from you cuz you were nice to me.”

“That’s still doesn’t explain why you would ask for a favor as a tip?” Diana looked as the girl flushed in embarrassment. “I -I -I just want one to show my friends that’s all just to prove that I could get one that’s all! Uummmm cousin???” She hesitated regretful as soon as the word had come out.

“Oh I see are your friends giving you a hard time? Well I say the only one that would be appropriate to give you such a thing would be Robin… the youngest that is.”

The bats looked back at Damian oh dear lord sweat god don’t -

“Tch- here.”

Damian tossed a handkerchief towards the circle. “You just carry a handkerchief with you?” “Of course I do I’m not a heathen unlike you Drake.”

The toss was barely thrown in her direction when it disappeared entirely. “Where…”

“No worries I just put it in my inventory. Now then I’ll be on my way.”

“Wait!”

“Huh?” Big doe eyes blinked up at them all in confusion.

“The dragon! What about that thi- guy.” Hal scruffed out.

The girl brightened up, “Oh you don’t have to pay me anything for that! After all Aragon the one that broke his patrol. So I’m sure as soon as I send my report someone will come deal with it eventually.”

“Eventually?!” Hal’s hand hit the table, who was this kid?

“Well yes, tons of reports go in everyday! It is the INFINITE realms after all! Who knows when they’ll get to yours.” She shrugged as if it was all just a matter of convenience as if that very dragon haven’t terrorized and destroyed lives throwing its tantrum.

Superman chewed his lip, as this meeting contributed to drag on he had no doubt Aragon would continue to destroy everything in its path. “Wait what about your connection, surely you know someone that can help ? What about your supervisor uncle ?” Clark needed this to stop, he couldn’t even land a punch on this guy. Nothing worked and he was already weak to magic. This has to stop.

“Well I suppose I can but it’ll cost you.”

“Wait just a minute!”

“Do we even have anything you want?” Clark raked his mind over ideas in his head, for a tip all she had wanted was a handkerchief an old school way of showing off to her friends like any normal girl. “We don’t have much but I’m sure we could think of something???”

“It’s okay Mr. Superman.” Konstelacio lite up “I’ll just take something you mortals don’t really think about hhhmmm something small.”

Hal sighed as he leaned back, “You sure we can’t just give her a dog?”

“Ugh fuck this mate I need a light,” forget not being allowed to smoke up here all these idiot we’re getting on John’s last nerve, “Ugh drat! I could have sworn I had my lighter in my pocket.”

“Oh you mortals losing things in your own pocket. Oh that’s what I want in return!”

“A lighter? Smoking is -“

“I want your pockets.”

“What do you mean?”

The devil grinned, “Your pockets, empty them.”

Hi!! (I'm sorry this is the third time I'm trying to send the ask, I think my wifi is fighting with me aksdasl) I love your Mareach babies! and the art you have of them :''v Also their names are perfect bc of all the meanings jsdskd I'd love to know more of them bc I too love twins whdjwhdw How are they when they grow up? Or even when they were still babies!

i’m so glad you like mela and pera! :^) (and dw, the internet’s been wonky here too)

on the backend of things i’ve used mela for a mareach kid for a few years but it’s only this year when i was actually like. designing her that i was like ‘they should have twins. something something runs in the family (on my dad’s side of the family his mom had twins and the twins also had twins) something something legendary star twin having twins’ so i trialed a few names (mainly arancia) before i settled on pera! :^)

i’ve been having the time of my life this semester (/s) so i really haven’t developed them very much unfortunately :( but that’s what asks are for! (so please send more if you’re curious!)

this is getting long so here’s a post cut

mela is the more excitable twin and comes up with a lot of ideas, but as they grew up she defaults more to pera to lead because she tends to execute them better and think of details mela would miss

though as kids pera would go along with whatever mela suggested bc she thought it was fun ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (mela was the one who proposed playing with fire, pera would probably just say ‘lets do it outside’)

i think they fully developed their own ‘firebrand’ around 3-4! but there were signs beforehand, like mela sneezing smoke as a baby and having a higher normal body temperature than pera

(but peach’s magic is so strong there was little doubt that her children would inherit her abilities, and they do end up doing so to some degree! fire just manifested early)

in terms of them as babies, they were definitely a handful but overall ‘good’ babies

once pera knew how to walk tho it was a wrap

very adventurous and loves pursuing knowledge no matter what it takes (nosy and persistent) meanwhile mela has that same curiosity but doesn’t really know what she wants. the happy hobby pursuer

we know mario has experience with younger children and babies (mallow, goombario if you squint a little, watt, yoshi kid, himself (PiT moment), olivia) and peach likely doesn’t have nearly as much but it’s still a different ball game when it’s your kid and two of them and being prince consort(? king? in my head he stayed prince consort but i like @istadris ‘s thing) but he does have a huge community so they do end up well traveled/being cared for and spoiled by many of mario’s companions, and especially so by luigi, peasley, and daisy

back to them being more grown up

mela is the oldest (and as such wears warm-reddish colors in accordance with my headcanon of mushroom world sibling pairs) so technically she’s first in line for the throne, but she doesn’t have as much of an interest in it and believes pera would be a better choice. pera (wears green tones) to her credit does show more interest so they may forgo tradition once more when the time comes but joint ruling was never out of the question

but they don’t have to worry about that for quite a while (but i think peach would do well to make sure both are prepared regardless because of her own experience)

as a pair they aren’t as joined together at the hip as mario and luigi were/are mostly because they didn’t grow up in an environment where mela or pera absolutely needed to protect the other (nor were they ever forcibly separated like the bros were in yoshis island) but they absolutely love each other and would be friends if they weren’t sisters

when they were little tho they were obviously fraternal and always wanted to look identical so they mostly dressed the same until they got to be maybe around 6-8? wide range ik but yeah

but i’m not entirely sure what the situation with bowser is like when they’re growing up but it isn’t as volatile as it currently is. the @justcallmerosey post with clementine giving me ideas tho👀

ahem. After some deep introspection, I have decided it is long past time to share the details of my absolutely horrid pjo au. Long post, I apologize, but I've been dramatically playing sudoku while plotting this out for far too long and the world simply must know every terrible thought I've been thinking. I start by giving all their godly parents then I just list off awesome little headcanons/scenes. there's no plot. it changes daily, depending on my sudoku game.

Godly parents:

Jeremy Heere - Apollo. I've seen a lot of content of him as a son of Demeter and honestly, half of me agrees with you. But when I put him into the actual plot, he always ends up playing the role of an Apollo kid. His social anxiety means he prefers fighting from a distance (archery) and I always imagined him as the healer of the group. Not in a metaphorical or emotional sense (that's Brooke), just that Jeremy can find his friends after the battle and help them. This also fits with my personal headcanon that Jake and Jeremy dislike each other---of course they do, Jeremy needs Jake to trust him in order to properly treat him, and Jake hates that this acquaintance expects Jake to trust him.

Michael Mell - Hades. He's interested in 'dead' trends. Ha, get it? Right? No, but also the fact he's a loser and has just come to accept it. People won't let him into their groups no matter how sweet he is because there's something about him that just doesn't fit in, and that's the fact he will gladly tread on the edge of death. He controls it. (the dead trends is the main thing tho ngl)

Christine Canigula - Poseidon. I know technically Dionysus makes more sense, but despite what many may think, I actually associate her more with the ocean than I do anyone else. She's dramatic, she's breathtaking. She can destroy you if she so pleases, but by god she doesn't want to. She's gentle and blue and beautiful. Most importantly, though, she reflects. She reflects the stars in the night sky like she reflects Ophelia's sadness. She reflects the adrenaline rush a surfer desires just as she reflects the desperation and adventurous youth in Juliet.

Rich Goranski - Zeus. Two reasons: Instinctively my brain went to Ares and Hephaestus, but no. Absolutely not. Hephaestus is an absolute no because Rich is not the fire Rich is not the fire Rich is not the fire. Ares is a bit more questionable because, in the pjo world, Ares is pure anger and spite and ego and his kids tend to reflect the same personality traits and god, Rich already does that in the canon world. It's implied his father is abusive and you know what? This is an au. I'm still giving him a shitty father but I am not giving him Ares, the god of War. I chose Zeus because a) plot. His being able to fly is incredibly important to many, many scenes in this mental fic and b) I like the idea of him holding the aura of a king. Not necessarily a leader, that's Jake, but he can walk with a self-entitlement that drives you to trust him even as he's rash and dangerous. His feelings are lightning bolt strong; quick, breathtaking, deadly, flashy. Storms follow him when he's sad and thunder roars when he's angry. He doesn't crave violence in the way a kid of Ares would, but he often ends up causing it anyway.

Jake Dillinger - Aphrodite. This one's always been obvious to me. Jake's main thing is charm---I mean, Model UN, talking his way into a relationship with Christine. He's well-liked and hot. His parents being criminals in the canon world means he's probably accustomed to lying and twisting others' words against them. AKA, he talks and seduces so no one will see his flaws or insecurities, just as any kid of Aphrodite learns to do. Also I did give him charm speak and I took away the whole thing about needing to be attracted to him for it to work because Jake's got that kind of charm where adults like him too much (not in a sexual way, I mean in a he's just so easy to deal with kind of way) and I feel like he'd just make it work on anyone. (also you'll see why Chloe isn't the kid of Aphrodite in a moment)

Chloe Valentine - Unclaimed. I already posted about this a while ago. She already grew up insecure but loud. Then she got to camp and paraded around the fact she was probably a kid of Aphrodite or Zeus for weeks. No one claimed her. She stayed in the Hermes cabin even as she integrated herself into the Aphrodite crowd, painting herself to be beautiful and snarky until people began to forget she was just an unwanted kid. She lashes out to hide it, sure, but it's mostly because she feels so isolated and alone, and she's convinced that if she screams loud enough, bites hard enough, that her victims will feel the same terrible loneliness she does. Realistically, she's probably a child of Hecate.

Brooke Lohst - Athena. I think it's probably the blonde thing, but I'm going to pretend it's not. I've always imagined her as so introspective and deep. You can look at her and just know there's so much more going on underneath the surface. She knows you and she knows herself more than you could ever hope to. People often forget how smart she is because, for starters, she's always overshadowed by Chloe. Mostly, though, it's because she's so soft. She lacks the pride of most Athena kids. She'll smile like sunlight and laugh like wind chimes and flit from place to place like a breeze-blown cherry blossom dancing to the ground. Her? A strategist? A warrior? It doesn't make sense until you hurt someone she loves. She honed that sweetness. She fought for it. She bled to make sure her friends experienced that gentle kind of love and if you take that from them she will trick you into tearing yourself limb from limb and she will smile as you do it.

Jenna Rolan - Hermes. Duh. She's a messenger, she's a traveler. Important note about travelers, though, is that the second they leave, their existence is usually forgotten. She walks into a room, declares her purpose and her message, and the second she steps out it's as if she was never there. Is it because she's fast? Because she never tells details about herself, only others? You don't know. She doesn't know---no mater how many nights she overthinks it and questions it, she doesn't understand why she's nothing but a shadow to everyone else.

Favorite Headcanons:

the main reason Rich is a son of Zeus is because I have a very clear image in my head of the eight of them on the Argo II or this au's version of it and the scene starts with Jake just barreling down a hallway and onto the main deck screaming his ass off and Jeremy's chasing after him, red-faced and angrier than anyone has ever seen him and Jake yells Rich's name and then just. Jumps off the ship and into the clouds. Ofc Rich like summons a cloud to catch him, and in the distance you can hear Jeremy, who just found out Jake hooked up with Michael their second night on the ship, "YOU CAN'T HAVE THEM BOTH. NO. IT'S NOT FAIR. ONE OR THE FUCKING OTHER. YOU CANNOT HAVE EVERY SINGLE PERSON I LIKE JAKE WHY????"

Oftentimes being a demigod comes with trusting only yourself, which means Jeremy has to work hard to get any of his patients to really come to him when they're injured and in this world, everyone was kind of separated before into groups (either two or three) and jake and rich were together so there's obviously a level of trust between them Jeremy simply can't get between, and at one point Chloe gets injured and Brooke tries to take care of her (stealing medical supplies from Jeremy) but, despite being smart, she's not a medic, and at it's the middle of the night and Brooke shows up at Jeremy's room with a half-unconscious Chloe in her arms begging for help and of course, Jeremy provides it, but then he just. Goes fucking off on Brooke. And it's so important because Jeremy is quiet and anxious, but "I am the medic here. I can take care of him. No, no, it's not just that I can. It's an obligation. it's my fucking job, Rich. That is all I can bring to this team. I'm a fucking coward. I would rather die than put myself into a battle, so it's my fucking job to pick up the pieces when you all come back bruised and battered, and you stole that from me. You took all I had left. If she dies, that's on me. Only me. It doesn't matter if he was in your care or someone else's, it's my job." Anywho, after that they routinely check up on Jeremy to make sure he's mentally okay.

Everyone capitalizes on Christine's ability to talk to fish just because it's so entertaining. They're in the middle of a quest but they're all so exhausted they stop at an aquarium and spend six hours sitting in front of a single tank of lame fish while Christine acts out the conversations between them and they're all deliriously relieved to be there.

Jake, Brooke, and Rich are the most dangerous team to go up against. Brooke can think of the right plan, the right words for Jake to say, and Jake can say her words to charm speak their enemy into destroying themselves. And Rich is there to physically support them both---Jake can always jump slightly too high because the wind is on his side and Brooke is slightly faster than her opponents because, for some reason, air resistance doesn't apply to her.

I noted earlier that they were all separated into small groups at the beginning and were forcibly united for their quest. Jenna was the only one of them alone, and Christine and Brooke both work so hard to eventually make her feel welcome on the ship with everyone else

So Jake is a child of Aphrodite, right? at one point there's a mini-quest they have to go on and the group decides it's smartest for Michael, Jake, and Jeremy to go. Jake immediately turns to Chloe with puppy dog eyes like "PLEASE, CHLOE, PLEASE TAKE MY PLACE" and she's like dude. no. no one likes being alone with them, it's barely even third wheeling. they make you feel like you aren't even a wheel. and Jake's like "YOU THINK IT'S BAD FOR YOU?? I'M A CHILD OF APHRODITE, CHLOE, I CAN PHYSICALLY FEEL THE PINING BETWEEN THEM" and that's how Chloe is convinced to go on a quest alone with Jeremy and Michael. It's miserable.

Jake won't charm speak his friends, which is why he had to actually convince Chloe to go on that quest. The reason why is so sad and traumatic I'm not going to add it to this post because most of these headcanons have been relatively amusing, but it's bad enough that on some days he's selectively mute (that's the right term, right?) just in case he accidentally charm speaks one of them. He and Rich can communicate in rudimentary sign language.

Rich is most skilled at fist fighting. Like yeah, he could use a sword or knife, but he's super super dangerous just with his fists.

And finally, because it's 11:15 and I have a test tomorrow: Brooke had a crush on Christine for the longest time and I have a very clear image in my head of them hanging out together under the argo II on the ocean under the stars and Brooke hesitantly confesses her feelings and Christine rejects her because she's ace and heteroromantic but she still hugs Brooke and is the sweetest person ever about it. She checks up on Brooke, lets Brooke set all the boundaries between them, and eventually, after a month or so, Brooke has to be like "Christine, I'm okay. I had a crush on you, I wasn't in love. You can stop now." and Christine is so fucking happy because she's been trying to distance herself from Brooke to give her time to heal and now she can have one of her best friends back!!!

I see a lot of people referring to Five as aroace, which I kinda get where this comes from and I tend to this myself.

But looking back, Five and Viktor seemed to like each other as kids, Aidan also speculated that (I don't like or support it myself tho or any other romantic relationship between the siblings), he saw Dolores as his wife, even when she was a mannequin, he saw her as a real person, probably like that hallucination in S3, which led to a kiss. He also seemed to enjoy the female dancer in S2 and was eyeing the stripper in S3.

Five doesn't seem to be the kind of guy to me who necessarily needs a love interest, but these were some things that made me think about.

I'm really interested in your opinion. Only if you would like to answer it ofc!

I think the aroace headcanon is perfectly valid and I wouldn't want to take it away from anyone, but I don't think it's supported by the current evidence in the show. I do think that proponents' arguments for the headcanon are usually plausible, however.

I think, as of now, the writers intend the audience to interpret Five as romantically and sexually attracted to women (at least) But I also don't think that what the writers intend matters. Run free headcanon, run free!

I'll speak to each part of your ask in turn:

Viktor

I find it an interesting headcanon which has at least some support from incidental details (the text of Viktor's book and the way AG plays the S1 scene in Viktor's apartment. He gives Viktor a look that might speak to having once had a crush).

If it happened however, I personally see that crush as insignificant and not having much bearing on whether or not Five is aroace. He would have been so young that it was likely the sort of presexual puppy love that one struggles separating from platonic love and friendship.

I actually mention this crush into one of my fics on Ao3 and this is how I presented Five looking back on it in 2020 or so.

Even then, before most of his trials, Five usually shied away from physical affection, but Viktor was different. Five allowed him the occasional touch, the odd one-armed hug where he wouldn’t have done so with others. It would occur to him, many years later, that what he felt for his adopted brother, (then sister), might have amounted to his first crush: puppy love flared up and fizzled out within months. The idea had struck him as equally distasteful and nostalgic: what a messed up childhood they’d had. His feelings for Dolores hadn’t exactly been the height of mental health but they had the benefit, at least, of not being technically incestuous.

I think this crush could work for both interpretations of Five. As a kid, he was taking romantic feelings and 'trying them on for size', as most of us do.

Dolores

Now, because she was a trauma response invented by an already-traumatised child undergoing extreme social depravation, I think it's fair to question whether the seemingly romantic/sexual heterosexual relationship between them is a genuine manifestation of Five's sexuality.

One could argue that Five expected himself to have heteromantic and sexual feelings and just projected his framework for a heterosexual relationship onto Dolores.

Having said all that, I think it's more likely that Dolores in general speaks more to Five having romantic and sexual feelings that it does to the reverse. When presented with Five and his relationship with Dolores, you have to make fewer inferential leaps to conclude that he has romantic and sexual feelings.

I also think it's implied so heavily that he banged her that the writers' intend a viewer to get the impression that he did. (They could definitely still reveal that he didn't if they wanted to, however). Here are the implications towards it that I remember:

There are a couple of times where other characters make 'mannequin banging' jokes and Five doesn't deny it, (this could be that he thinks it beneath him, however).

During the S1 conversation with Klaus, Klaus states that Five must be "horny as hell", and Five tacitly refutes this by saying that he had Dolores.

In S1, apocalypse Five is sitting with Dolores in the ruined library like: "remember that mansion outside the city limits? Where we..." and then he gives this kind of dirty chuckle. I think it's definitely implied that they got up to something nasty there. 😬

Five's general behaviour

Yes. Strippers. Five has a slight case of rubber neck when he passes the pole dancer in s3 and he enjoys the burlesque dancers at the Carousel Club in s2.

(Kinda 1.5) He even asks Autumn who works at the Carousel Club what time she gets off work- and that usually implies romantic or sexual intention. I think Five was probably using his wits to get around Autumn and be allowed to stay in the club even though he appeared to be a minor, but it suggests that he found her attractive, or else why take that particular route?

In the s3 bathroom scene with Lila where she is naked, she accuses him of being a perv. Five says: "Don't flatter yourself. I like my women a little less likely to slit my throat while I'm asleep." To me, this phrasing is fairly conclusive: Five is expressing that, while there are women he might like to perv on, Lila is not one of them.

Five and love interests

No, the character doesn't really need a love interest beyond Dolores in the series. I doubt that Five will be seen onscreeen romantically or sexually engaged with anyone beyond Dolores. As a result, I think there will always be room for the interpretation of him as aroace.

I sometimes speculate whether, for some, part of the motivation for interpreting Five to be aroace comes from feelings of discomfort with the idea of someone who, (in S1+2) looks like a child or teenager having had adult sexual experience. And this is not to invalidate that- it's a reasonable thing to feel.

🥀noemie’s friends : noemie can seem a bit off putting and intimidating at first, but she’s actually quite a sweetheart when you get to know her. friends w more folks in Withergate.

🥀noemie is a vampire - with nice sharp fangs and zero tolerance for the sun!

🥀if i had to describe Noemie in four words, they would be : teasing , curious , passionate , ——-

🥀noemie is currently a withergate resident - never bothering to leave said place since she’s so incredibly sensitive and HATEFUL towards the sun. A place with no sun? oh, sign her up!

🥀if she is for SOME REASON out in the sun, you’ll find her with some dark shades on, and a black lace parasol. while she can’t DIE from the sun- it’s beyond unpleasant for her- and can harm her physically.

🥀noemie does not drink bl00d. she technically COULD, if she wanted to, but she complains that she doesn’t like the ‘bitter taste’ and doesn’t like ‘being so close to someone’ to get some from them. instead, she just eats sweets- a LOT of sweets. but being the being she is- it doesn’t affect her in any way- she doesn’t need to even eat in the first place, so it doesn’t matter what she eats!

🥀absolutely despises the sun. HATES it. LOATHES. CANNOT STAND! she wishes it away everyday and cannot understand how ANYONE enjoys such miserable sunlight!

🥀naturally, she was extremely grateful that a place like withergate exists. she doesn’t have to worry about the sun bothering her anytime!

🥀noemie has lived in wg ever since withergate became a thing. before withergate tho- she would constantly hide away from the sun- only being awake and being active at night. she stays very clear of any place that HAS sun; which is about everywhere ! but if she has everything she needs in one place, why go anywhere?

🥀noemie doesn’t care to get her hands dirty, and always figured that she could make herself a living WITHOUT working or getting her hands dirty. So! her current occupation is posting on WitherTube - posting mostly skincare / beauty and other related content. this has gained her some popularity among withergate- but nothing crazy.

🥀noemie is rumored to have a thing for mister prince darius- but she obviously denies these rumors. she knows he probably wouldn’t care much for her anyway- so she decides to mostly admire him from afar.

So after years of only the Movie and the Second episode, I finally searched for, and found the rest of the episodes so far.

I’m not going to compare it with G1, because all three generations have their charms, their pros and their cons (G2 haters can die mad about it)

SPOILERS BEWARE in case you haven’t seen it (Hint: search for “monster high 2022 google drive”)

First of all, it’s interesting that the sneak peak we got was “Food Fight” and “Unfinished Brain-ness”, as without “The Monstering” one could think that both the Live Action movie and the series are the same continuity, but nope, just in very broad strokes.

The Monstering. I think is my least liked episode. It is good and cute, but it has it’s cringey moments, specially with the musical numbers. They are short, but is the only episode that has them, and compared with the music of the movie… well, they lack.

So, the first difference with the movie. In the movie, Clawdeen has know to be werewolf all her life, and actually looks like one, which is why she has to hide her true self. In the series, Clawdeen is a normal human girl (I’m like 50% the human characters are calling her “Claudine”). She is obsessed with monsters for apparently no reason, and is convinced they live nearby… which to be fair, they do. Monster High is like 20 minutes from her home. The “bear” attacking and winning was a bit annoying, but it’s revealed he was actually a monster (and is occasionally seen in other episodes haha). Interestingly, Deuce Stone Ray is less powerful than previously, as her it only put a “coat” of stone over the individuals, that can be destroyed with brute force. It’s unclear if this is a Deuce thing or all Gorgons are like that.

But oh well, if you wanna ignore this episode you can pretend the series is a direct sequel of the movie (Like Descendants and Wicked World) without much trouble.

Food Fight. AKA The Draculaura episode. Everyone has seen this episode. It’s technically the first thing we saw of the series. The “ride or die” nature of the friendship between Draculaura, Frankie and Clawdeen is first seen here. They’re there for each other, no matter what. I liked the loophole abuse of Clawdeen technically being allowed to perform magic because she’s half human, even if they only say so to cover for Draculaura. It’s sad they don’t try to use that excuse again.

I totally thought they were going to defeat the food by eating it. I was wrong. Also, the tatter tyke that Draculaura gave life first is kind of a regular character that lives in her closet. I LOVE the continuity of this show.

Dracula and Bloodgood are kind of arseholes tho. TEAM KOMOS!

Unfinished Brain-ness. AKA the Frankie episode. Love how they portray Frankie and how slapstick knows no gender. I am seeing things, but I liked the “Dumpster fire” joke about Heath and… well, Lagoona appearing out of nowhere to help him… yeah, I’m shipping them (Even if it’s just a weird friendship kind of ship). Love how they found Watzie, and the fact that it’s confirmed that in this generation, like in the movie, Frankie is made of dead people. And curses have expiration dates haha.

It’s a throwaway joke, and I don’t remember the name of the doctor, but it seems that one is important for the lore of G3.

Case of the Moondays. I know it’s an irrational fear, but it’s a bit weird that Clawdeen fears that if she becomes human the others will reject her. At the very least, Draculaura, Frankie and Deuce wouldn’t care. Cleo is adorable, and I absolutely love her, and how much of a classical mummy she is… actually, they’re exaggerating with having all her organs and other random stuff in the jars, but still, that gives her more character.

The “monster hunters” have good designs, but are arseholes.

Portrait of a Monster: Loved the mythology gag of the hologram of Frankie using their G1 outfit. And technically the Ghoul Spirit and Coffee Break ones too. Them giving the Spark of Life to a random object was random, but like other things, it might be used later to something more dramatic (Hoodude? Alivia?)

Witch Hitch. Like I said, I’m sad Draculaura didn’t say it was Clawdeen who was the witch… but I understand she might not have thought of it (Frankie was the one that said it previously) or simply didn’t want to throw her under the bus. Lagoona is so freaking adorable. And unhinged. And feral. LOVE HER. The tatter tyke is seen several times in this episode haha.

With that warning about the curse, I was totally expecting that they would actually use it on Toralei, she would transform into a chicken and then they would have to undo the spell… it’s nice that Draculaura actually was mature to not overdo it and follow instructions, it also probably means she learned her lesson from Food Fight.

Part of the Pack. HOWLEEN! *Ahem* I’m on the fence about her outfit, but she never wore matchy clothes before, and her overall design is cool. She’s no longer Clawdeen sister, and it seems she’s more mature/older, but I like how they might develop into “pack sisters”. Again, the series show how communication and trust is the best policy. Any other show would have the protagonist trying to hide about their new friends and ditching and forgetting about their “real” friends, and the friends in turn would be selfish and unaware of the protagonist needs and forcing them to choose (Hello High School Musical 2!). Not here! Clawdeen tells them what is going on, and Frankie and Draculaura never ever have a hint of jealousy or ill will towards the pack or Clawdeen, and despite the presentation being important to Draculaura, she outright offers to postpone so they can go and support Clawdeen being accepted in the pack. And when they learn she’s about to be tricked? Other series would make the protagonist believe the friends are just jealous of their new position/friends. Here? They help each other, no questions asked.

It’s also the first hint that the series will have a deeper lore, starting with Clawdeen’s moon amulet… but honestly, that’s kind of secondary to the Friendship Lessons portrayed here.

I think this and the next one are my favorite episodes.

That Thing you Deuce. AKA The Deuce episode. Clawdeen and Deuce friendship is absolutely adorable, and I’m guessing the series will have a policy of “no hugs no kissing”, as there is no hint of romance between the two of them (Compared to the movie, at least).

Him making rock candy out of pure sugar is… genius? The loaf of brain bread was weird AF. Like… how?

But anyways, again, Deuce powers (Or Gorgons in general) is given another aspect: If the ray goes through an object (I’m guessing it was to be somewhat transparent) the ray changes properties and the target is transformed into what the ray went through. In the episode it happens first with candy, and then with Ghoulia’s bread. I’m not sure if the Monstering was retconned, if the properties are different or what, but here they turned into Candy, they didn’t get covered in a layer of candy, they turned into it. It also makes his use of glasses questionable at best… Maybe Gorgons are in full control of their powers and the glasses is just a placebo effect?

We get confirmation that Gorgon is now a full race and not just a couple of individuals.

Also, my ship appears again. Heath wants to read something to make himself angry to cook a dessert, and reads about the dangers that the Great Barrier Reef is facing… aka Lagoona’s place of origin in G1, which shows he cares about such things. And since we have the other mythology gag, and this show is good with continuity, it wouldn’t surprise me if Heath think that Lagoona comes from the GBR.

Werewolf Weekend. Clawdeen comes out of the closet to her dad. Clawdeen is going to tell her dad about being a werewolf, and Cleo decides to go with her for moral support, but has her own selfish reasons… surprisingly, she actually comes through with good advice and is a good moral support to Clawdeen. And we see even more of her monster side.

More of the lore bit with the Book that can only be read by monsters.

Paw-zlee pieces. CLAWD! MANNY! Manny being a nerd is a surprise, but he’s cute and I fully support Draculaura/Manny if they chose to got that route. The fact that he didn’t even register that Draculaura saw him as her Sitcom Archnemesis was hilarious.

I like Clawd design and personality. Ironically, now he fits his G1 doll a lot better than before (Just with a less mature face). The splitzy was kind of dumb, but fun. Again, I was expecting him to be frozen or something. The fact they ate the tamales with the corn leaf still on is… weird.

Frankie being referred as a “Frankenstein monster” and the fact that one of the founders was one too seems to imply that they are a whole race now. Or a sub-race of Simulacrums… apparently both werewolves and werecats count as a single race called “Werebeasts” which is cool.

The plot thickens. Besides the moon amulet of Clawdeen that represents werebeasts (specifically werewolves), there is one for Vampire, Frankenstein, Mummy, Sea Monster, and Gorgon… which coincides nicely with the main characters… wonder if they’re going to make a “Gotta Catch em all” kind of plot, if they will find them randomly through the rest of the series, or if they will pull a Friendship is Magic moment and realize the magic was inside them all along.

I’m honestly okay with either of those options.

OH, also Frankie killed Amanita, but I don’t remember in which episode happened, but that’s all good.

Hello! I decided to make some random doodles of some of the ocs participating in @villain-oc-tournament! I’m a little busy so I wasn’t able to do as much as I wanted to, but I still wanted to make some stuff before the second round of the tournament began!

Before I get to the doodles, I noticed in the post for round two that the villains who are out of the tournament are getting coffee together. Maybe. So, I made a whole list of what I think those guys would order from Starbucks with my very limited knowledge of Starbucks drinks.

Nyx- quad espresso (Also eats espresso pucks)

Blue- that blue Frappuccino thingy that technically doesn’t exist yet but he got it anyway

Reverie- PINK DRINK

Sascha- caramel cinnamon cold brew

Zack- black coffee like the emo he is

Halya- iced flat white

Bevelyne- Chai latte

Kevin- PINK DRINK

Shay- Java chip Frappuccino

Entropy- something with pistachio

Mordiggan- PINK DRINK (he also broke through a wall)

Ratch- Pumpkin spice (it’s not even in season)

Sebastian- Matcha latte

Avarice- that one really expensive Starbucks drink from Japan

Pyramid- iced shaken espresso

Marigold and Zack’s snake were not allowed in due to no pets being allowed.

Now here are the doodles!

The first one is just non-serious drawings I did for fun. The second one includes one of my ocs, Rezi, interacting with some of your ocs! Bc why not. She’s cool.

And now for the Virgo fun fact I,,,probably should have brought up sooner lmao-

Virgroxaan isn’t human at all. Nobody knows exactly what she is…with one exception. Her form is made of concentrated dark matter. She looks somewhat human, but something is just…off about her. Something that prevents her from being fully perceived as human. This form makes it easy for her to corrupt and curse others. However, that being said, dark matter isn’t very stable and isn’t easy to regenerate. So, Virgo occasionally possesses an immortal being! She has broken the spirits of several immortals and basically turned them into “corpses.” This is one of those immortals, and the body she possesses the most often.

His name was Tamayan. He was a somewhat selfish, yet charismatic and fair person. Now he has lost any and all sentience and his sense of self. It’s unclear whether he can even be considered alive. He’s still girlypop tho.

It’s much easier to regenerate and appear human to others in this form, which is also why it is the form you will most likely see her in. However, it can be a little harder to curse/corrupt others. It also has another…interesting side effect. Although they aren’t overpowering, Virgroxaan is actually capable of feeling emotions in this form. Anger, sadness, fear, pride, disgust…they’re all possibilities now. She does not know how to feel about them. Is…confusion a possibility?

crying thinking abt how genuinely kat will compliment her man & how inadvertantly Serious she gets bc she really does sincerely mean it & it would be easier to process if she was actually doing it to fluster him but no sometimes she just gets into a certain mood

also the idea of her like hgjhkj absolutely backing him 100% when other barons push back on shit like this, knowing that her reputation is in a very strange place where too much will be seen as in poor form but not really caring bc she knows how to exude enough bad vibes to get people to shut up lmao. his coterie might feel the same as she does but they dont have the same effect on audiences, the ventrue aura of 'listen to me or Else' comes in handy and he gfhjk doesnt quite know how to feel abt it being used for him lmao

she does love how much he cares tho,,, its a very sexy quality its not smth shes used to. she might not completely Agree with him all the time but the way she completely trusts him overrides that so it doesnt actually Matter. & i think she also sort of uses that as a better moral compass than the one thats been trained into her, like inherently she sees herself as a semi-bad person bc of how shes able to detach from certain decisions and thats just not how he operates & she has a lot of respect for that (& probably also misses the fact that if we're comparing traumas hers are a lot more. uh. Direct lmfao.)

also god love her but she is Not a Car Girl TM. she will sit there in the garage trying her hardest to follow along & ask questions but rly truly, she has no idea wtf he is saying to her. she recognizes that he is talking about parts and seems Excited & shes just glad it requires minimal thought on her end beyond very basic open ended questions. im pretty sure he thinks she understands a Lot more about mechanical stuff than she actually does bc shes very good at picking out important words and repeating them gfhjjfdgfhg shes not TRYING to bullshit interest she just doesnt have the heart to tell him she have 0 comprehension of anything he said just now. he is so stressed so much she wants him to be happy & relaxed whenever theres an opportunity for it :(

also he listens to her interests gfhgjh even if theyre significantly less technical lmao. she likes dissecting the manufactured drama & relationships of reality tv and stuff like that bc it reminds her of a Much lower stakes version of kindred politics & the pettiness is entertaining to her. he also gets to hold her while they watch on the couch or in bed while she goes & picks apart all of the 'fighting' and production tampering & he loves hearing her talk in general but its kind of fascinating to him how she can take something so shallow & dissect it, loves how Perceptive she is when it comes to people in particular. i think sometimes if she's maybe squirming a bit much or maybe if he just feels like it he'll offer to paint her nails. she's really on top of keeping up a manicure but doesnt always do acrylics & i think he would actually get fairly into the fact that 1. its essentially just Hand Holding for a reason and 2. it requires a decently steady hand & attention to detail so it doesnt get messed up and as someone who restores bikes with tiny intricate mechanical parts, hes surprisingly well suited to this. i bet he would do little designs too if he had the tools for it. it just feels good to do something for her :')

she knows jewellery even if she doesnt know fuck all about mechanics. firmly believe she just buys him stuff all the time & shes stupidly good at nailing what someone's preferred style is. like i dont think hes ever had someone who just casually gets so many things bc 'i saw this and thought of you' and again acts like its nbd??? because it is?? shes like yeah ofc why Wouldnt i? & tbh i dont even think that the gifts stop with him either once the rest of his coterie realizes shes cool and not a camarilla mole lmao they also start getting little things. jewellery keychains shirts Whatever, all usually just dropped into their hands mid-conversation with very little acknowledgment from her. if you mention youve had your eye on a bracelet or smth she'll just grab it without thinking. if Really pressed she'll probably brush it off as 'i wasnt spending my money anyway' (girl likes to take cash when she feeds from the wealthier Reverse Orphans TM especially if theyre also cheating gfhjhj) but rly. she just enjoys making people happy, which is also something her adores about her. its the casual way its just ingrained into her personality & how she doesnt make a huge deal about it, its just how she is.

ofc he always makes sure to take care of her back, she clearly expresses affection in gift giving and acts of service but she likes quality time & physical touch for herself. which is absolutely okay by his book, he was never even close to being as touch starved as she was at any point whereas she went literal Years without being touched in some way that wasnt negative or hurtful in some form. its overwhelming for her initially & she doesnt really know how to Ask for contact but by god she gets it through him. he's always loved holding her; she just seems to tuck in Perfectly into his arms. if she's maybe getting too overwhelmed with that then he's also good to switch gears to maybe just having a hand on her back or leg or holding her hand bc there's a period right when they first officially get together where she's still trying to level herself out after so much isolation. & he's such a constant reassuring presence, it almost doesn't feel real.

tbh if he wasn't as stable as he was im not sure she would have been able to heal properly after killing her sire, she had spent so long tethered to that man and shaping her life around running from him that she didnt quite know what to Do with herself when he was gone. nines didnt explicitly provide a 'purpose' for her life, he just gave her a place to rest and recuperate while she figured herself out and started to understand the fact that she was finally safe. & that's another thing, her sire might have been a genuine threat to the point she didnt want to risk his safety, but everything else? i doubt there would be any stopping his protection instincts. sometimes thats a concern to her, but again, she needed to be with someone who would be able to be that type of support & strength while she finally released literal decades of repressed trauma & a constant fight or flight state. he cant protect her from her own mind, but he can put a stop to any outside threats. she's never had that. he might have been abandoned by a ton of people in his life, but she would have taken that over the active harm/passive allowance of harm. understanding that, to him, she is someone worth protecting? its a wild learning curve.

im also sure theres some angst to be found in his history of being abandoned + her former commitment fear that evolved into the constant need to Be Around Him but also consider: the amount of comfort he would finally have knowing theres a 99% chance if theyre at home he just has to walk into the next room to see her (assuming she isnt already closer) & how she openly admits to wanting him on all levels, like shes not just gonna be someone else who walks out of his life. absolutely her favourite spot in the world is curls up beside him, like thats where she considers Home to be and ohh man. i think that just stirs smth up in him internally. ofc he cares about a lot of people and a lot of people care about him back but this is Different. in retrospect, knowing what she went through just to be able to sit here with him? even though there was a chance she would be rejected for not being transparent with her situation prior & never fully committing (even if she otherwise would have)? knowing he might be Too Hurt to let her back in and trying it anyway & letting him take the lead on the pacing and decide what it was He needed, that's insane. but she wanted to be with him so badly it was a risk she was willing to take on, which is telling bc her whole thing was caution to the point of being detrimental to herself.

it's like,,, he knows how it feels to have followers. but just like he did with her, she was able to peel back layers and layers of public-facing personality traits & see who he was in the privacy of his own home, and Still wanted him. imo even though he knows how to command a room, he's still not 100% positive what it is about Him Specifically that makes him so special to everyone else aside form being the guy who was in the right place at the right time to make a reputation for himself. but she's like. the one person where he actually feels like he maybe understand why she looks at him that way, & its still a nebulous feeling, but its more Concrete than what he gets from starry-eyed fledglings. kat is not and has never been someone who gives people more credit than they deserve or who blindly follows people. she's harsh and she has to have a Reason to do that.

if theres ever a situation where she has to drink blood outside of her restriction, you know he's gonna be the one to take care of her. she's not a fan of it, she's in pain and she feels gross and doesn't want him to Watch the whole episode, but why would he be put off by it? they both came from big families with plenty of kids, the threshold for being grossed out by that stuff is really goddamn high for them both lmao. also she looks completely Miserable curled up on the floor like that, if she needs someone to hold her hair and rub her back a bit then okay! she will have that its what she deserves! she's gonna resist a little at first bc she was always the one doing that for her sisters being the oldest with no mother/mother figure for most of their lives but like with a lot of stuff he does, she will relax and melt into the touch after a bit and start to physically decompress. if she's up for up she will also be carried to whichever soft surface she desires, no questions asked.

theyre so domestic it Hurts. fully believe the only actual regret she has about the relationship is missing the boat on them both being human & getting to live that normal suburban family life bc she know she would have completely abandoned her Rich Husband goals & it would have been fine in the end + her dad would have loved him. theres a very deep part of her psyche with a list of names that would have sounded fantastic for theoretical children like fdgfhgjh god. she is so far gone for him, 'vampires dont love' my ASS. not to be cheesy but he's It for her, even when theyre in a rough spot she literally cannot imagine being around anyone else or giving herself to someone so fully like that and trusting that they won't use that against her or shatter her heart in the process.

i just gfsfdhgfrwhgqsahxgfghgfejgwdshhjgrf theyre so in love. SO in love.

my main demon slayer ships are:

Rengoku x Uzui (like a Lot this is probably my otp of this show. however uzui’s wives are included. its like a separate spoke poly to me? uzui x his wives are one half and the wives are all into each other then uzui x rengoku is the other half and rengoku and uzui’s wives all care about each other in a more platonic way lol. basically a healthy poly thing in my mind)

Tanjiro & Zenitsu & Inosuke (in a platonic way!!! those are my sons don’t separate them or i’ll sob!!!!!!)

Giyuu x Shinobu (i like how she teases him and even if she is disdained by his awkwardness sometimes i think she can really understand where he’s coming from and understand him even when he’s just kinda like :| yknow)

Rengoku x Akaza -> i hate akaza so fucking much i am strangling every post i see with him and this ship with my bare hands. I Do Not Care about akaza’s boohoo sad backstory i am killing him and not in the teehee way i mean every time i see him i become Enraged <3. muzan may be the antagonist of demon slayer but i want to see akaza’s death animated in Great Detail.

haven’t seen anything about uzui that’s made me squick cuz most people ship him with either his wives or with rengoku lmao

Tanjiro x Kanao -> even though they are canon i’m just not super into her character ig? like she and tanjiro don’t seem like couple material to me. he doesn’t really treat her any differently than any other person he interacts with (imo) and i would argue he shows more care and interest and love towards zenitsu and inosuke than kanao specifically. aside from the standard anime “girl pretty” energy which like. all anime does that so it’s not even a measure of attraction to me anymore (being a long time anime fan). don’t get me wrong i don’t hate her as a character but as a couple they just seem so… boring. esp of the main three canon couples. like inosuke and aoi i can see and i don’t mind, zenitsu and nezuko are a given but… kanao just isn’t a good match for my boy ig (to me) 💀💀

Zenitsu and Inosuke only really get shipped with Nezuko/Tanjiro (solo) respectively and i don’t dislike those. i just like the three of them together at all costs so ig i don’t like the idea of tanjiro and inosuke dating and zenitsu kinda being on the side if i HAD to be nitpicky about it. like the three of them are a unit. do not separate.

Giyuu x Sanemi -> sorry i just don’t like sanemi 💀💀💀

Shinobu x Mitsuri -> i LOVE mitsuri to death. but i hate when fandoms ship two femme characters just because they could be a lesbian couple and for no other reason aside from that. like i get Why because lesbian candidates in anime is fleeting esp in shonen bc of a lack of femme characters in general so like. i understand that but maybe just cuz im not a lesbian idc that much. it’s similar to how i feel about tanjiro/kanao i just don’t think mitsuri has put any special emphasis on her relationship with shinobu. like she looks up to her definitely. but like mitsuri loves everyone. and i feel like shinobu would do better with someone she wouldn’t feel pressured to be Only the happy side of herself with and i feel like once she broke down that barrier she would be able to be more herself around giyuu than around mitsuri.

also this isn’t mentioned in my main ships but i don’t like Mitsuri and Obanai as a couple. idc if they’re canon i don’t like him he’s annoying asf he is not good enough for my girl.

17. What's a ship for this character you don't hate but it's not your favorite that you're fine with?

Rengoku x Giyuu i’ve seen around and i’m okay with it. i love both of these two to death (#tanjiro’solderbrothers) and so them together makes me very soft. i think it would be super rough for giyuu just because i don’t think he’d think he was Good Enough for rengoku which is why i don’t ship it too heavily but like i love them both so i’m never mad when i see it.

Giyuu x Sabito i don’t really ship but like obviously i get why people do and it makes my heart hurt despite not shipping it like that </3

Tanjiro x Genya or Tanjiro x Muichiro are two things i don’t mind seeing. i don’t really ship them bc like. tanjiro is my son and it’s kinda weird for me to think about him romantically l m a o? and muichiro is even younger than him lol. in the case of genya i totally get it but again it’s more just “hmm yes that’s his best friend” like i immediately in my mind view it platonically vs romantically.

My ramblings on the Genshin 4.2 Archon Quest and Furina's character story (obviously spoilers!!):

- Asjdkglsjfks the archon quest was kinda epic..!! I was feeling like it was just going to be Ei & Raiden 2.0 at first, but them actually killing the hydro archon was super cool. I can't wait to see the effects of there being no hydro archon, if there will be any. Tho going through Furina's story quest... It doesn't seem like people in Fontaine care at all that they don't have an archon now lmao

- Poor Neuvillette tho, having to basically do three jobs at once, being a chief justice, a dragon sovereign and a semi-archon

- I'm rarely this harsh, but I don't like Focalors' design at all lmao. Mainly the front of her dress and how it's showing her skin. Honestly if she had bigger booba I could probably see the appeal of the front of the dress, but with the model that Furina/Focalors has? It just looks weird imo. And I don't even like big booba normally lolllll

- Also, I am so pissed off at the Traveller asjdkslsjf. Even before the quest revealed Furina's past, I felt so bad for her. Girl was literally abt to open up to the Traveller abt everything, only to be pretty much betrayed and put on the stage because she hesitated a minute too long. Not that it was necessarily just the Traveller's fault, but STILL. I felt so horrible for the whole quest, and it was just brushed off like it didn't even matter much.

- I'm a little sad we didn't get to see a dragon form for Neuvi, but I'm so hyped up abt him anyways. He has his powers!!!! It's so cool!!!

- The OST during the new boss is awesome. I have no idea what we were actually supposed to do during the fight, especially since I had my lv40 Furina in the team who almost killed everyone, but at least the music was GREAT.

- Childe getting fcking YEETED must've been the best part of the quest tho. Skirk was RUTHLESS.

- I love the little creatures Furina summons with her skill. I just have them follow me around everywhere even if I'm just running around the Court of Fontaine. They are so cute.

- Also, at least based on Furina's test run, she's going to be super strong??? And she's technically not even the archon anymore lmao. I kinda love the idea of her being pretty much the strongest human on Teyvat bc why not. She deserves it after everything. Like technically, canon-wise, there's no reason for her to be any stronger than your average vision-user, but of course gameplay wise she's still expected to fill the role of Fontaine's archon

- I don't like Furina's story quest :/ Sure the thing with Auriel and the crew was kinda interesting (Furina is literally yelling "BOOORING!!" in the background as I'm typing this lmao, girl, it was YOUR story quest), but I wish it was more abt Furina. Like, you know, they could've touched up on the whole thing of the Traveller and co dragging Furina to a trial when she was just abt to open up to the Traveller. Have her and the Traveller build up trust towards each other again for example, while Furina is trying to find her new place in Fontaine as a normal human being. But nope, let's make the story quest mostly abt NPCs, why not.

- Also, Furina getting her vision felt so anticlimactic. I guess getting a vision is rarely treated as something super significant in genshin, but the person known as the former hydro archon getting a hydro vision in front of an audience?? And the reaction is basically "oh yeah, that happened"??? (EDIT: apparently I somehow missed the info that Neuvillette is now the one giving out visions and that Furina's vision was likely the first one he gave, so now I'm crying askdlgldjd. I still have no idea when I missed that part, but it's so cute)

- ALSO HOW ARE YOU GOING TO TRY AND MAKE ME BELIEVE THAT THE PEOPLE OF FONTAINE. DO. NOT. RECOGNIZE. FURINA. YOU KNOW, THE ARCHON LOVED BY ALL OF FONTAINE AT THE START OF THIS ALL???

- Anyways, the archon quest was great, Furina's quest not so much, but my opinion on that may have been influenced by the fact that I've somehow gotten way too attached to Furina lmao

Omg, I just had a thought; Sev with a chaotic!vampire daughter\son figure?? (Think Claudia from Interview with a vampire except they're a teen lmao) like, maybe they had abusive parents and ran away and managed to either A. Get changed into a vampire or B. Get attacked THEN change into a vampire

They would play the innocent card to get people to let down their guard while the rest of the hooker gang would take their chance to attack 👀👀👀👀

I could ttly see it happening! He's probably one of the last ppl in the group that wants the responsibility of parenting, acts like a total hardass about it at first....And yet, the older kid-teen has him wrapped around their finger in no time. 😌

I just pictured the movie scene with TomCruise where Claudia fake cries to kill a woman who thinks she's an innocent girl and Lestat is smiling like an idiot in the shadows at how proud he is of her; 100% Severen behavior.

They would be a chip off the ol' block. He'd taint that kid into being a mini Severen and while everyone else is groaning in annoyance at that; he's thrilled! Getting them their own badge after killing a cop (And they'd probably want to bc Severen looks cool af what teen wouldn't gravitate towards him and want to be like him especially someone who looks up to him as a masc role model?) Get them their own revolver. Teach them new curse words. Try to get them to be as sadistic with kills as he is bc he clearly is apathetic towards humans after at least 125+ years of being alive so he figures why not have fun and play with your food a bit to keep vampire life interesting? He would protect his kid and teach them to protect themselvesself too. He would actually be an amazing Dad (Murder and stuff aside I guess) and probably a drastic change from wherever they came from. I can just see a teenager blowing something up and Severen grinning and yelling "THAT'S MY FUCKIN KID!!" while everyone is glaring at them bc NOW they just alerted every cop in the tri-state area of an explosion from them 😭☠️

And a daughter that's sadistic like Claudia? Oohhh mmyyyy gggoooddd. Let's use Claudia as a face claim bc if she showed up in a pretty dress with blood on her looking up at him like that and was like "Please don’t be mad at me🥺🥺🥺"

HE IS INTERNALLY AWWING EVEN IF HE REFUSES TO SHOW IT LIKE HIS CHEST HURTS AT HOW SOFT HE'D BE FOR HER. Tell me he wouldn't be like "I've known her for one day but if anyone hurts her I'm killin' every motherfucker in this room and then myself."

Like, she would absolutely have him wrapped around her finger, no questions asked. Bonus points if she calls him Dad or Papa after being with them for awhile; girl could have anything and he'd never say no.

Even if she's a complete rough ass tomboy; you bet she's pulling out the sweet innocent doe eyes just to get her way. After she does, he's like "...Wait a minute...Did you just con me???" Even tho he's proud af bc it's Severen of course he's glad his adopted kid is a survivor doing what it takes to win.

(Can you imagine the FUED that would happen if Homer had a crush on her and tried wooing her especially since he's technically a fucking old man mentally like he tried to do with Sarah? Severen would absolutely lose his shit for good reason. Like, feral and ready to have a shoot out with Homer and probably anyone siding with Homer on that. So here's to hoping she wants nothing to do with Homer and is like "Ew no." when she arrives. Now once she's much older mentally idk that's debatable especially since their both stuck as kids forever but I still think Sev would bristle at the idea of it bc Homer is not good enough for his babygirl or his pride in joy son or kid in general for that matter ☠️☠️☠️)

However, I could see just like Claudia and Homer; his kid being resentful of being stuck as a practical kid forever. If they're 16 and older maybe not but under that? Yeah, the bitterness of being in a 14 yr olds body forever or something like that would eventually take hold. And who knows if that would make them still like Severen or bitter towards him 10+ years from now. It probably depends on if he turned them or not.

And a they/them non binary kid would be treated most likely however they'd want to be treated 🤷🏼‍♀️ I just see Sev as respectful towards ppl he actually gives a shit about.

Honestly, no matter whether it's a daughter/son/affectionately named brat; he'd be a good chaotic Dad towards them ESPECIALLY if they were as unhinged as him. And he is definitely teaching them how to be ruthless regardless. No kid of Severen Van Sickle isn't walking around w/o a weapon or knowing how to get out of sticky situations.

If this was in reference to them fighting, Haru doesn't like to fight with Gokudera necessarily, but it just happens. He has his jerk moments and Haru has a temper so she just goes: OH YEAH? FINE, IT'S A FIGHT YOU'RE GOING TO GET! You think she's scared of you, you PUNK? BRING IT!

That's her energy.

Haru isn't so keen on the whole violence thing, as it's not the answer, but she also understands that sometimes you need to use force to solve some issues.

While she normally won't fight if she's the subject matter, she will when it comes to some things.

DON'T be inappropriate to her. All chikans beware she will absolutely try to demolish you because you disrespected her person.

If you insult/challenge her intelligence and she is confident in the subject matter, she will fight. She has a lot of pride in her intelligence and she WILL fight.

Otherwise, she normally won't really fight for herself much. She may rather choose to stay quiet and take it. Not worth making waves over, and making a ruckus isn't very lady-like.

Now, when it comes to others? Oh she'll fight. Bullying Lambo? She's going to fight. Someone talking mad shit about her friends? She's rolling up her sleeves so she can verbally give them a royal smackdown. We've seen Haru's sarcastic and sassy side. You think she won't have scathing remarks to someone who was talking shit about her friends? Think again.

I do like to believe that Ryohei had taught Haru some things. If a perv is bothering you, kick him! OR, you punch him in the stomach and run off. If you can manage it, uppercut and stun him and run off.

I've said it once, and i'll say it again. Gymnasts are STRONG! Rhythmic gymnasts are fit and are stronger than they look. Haru canonically is a seeded member that actually competes. She has to be stronger than she looks. Anime only but- she suplexed Lambo. I think anime said her father has interest in MMA so she knows a lil bit. It shows that Haru is stronger than she looks. She punched Shamal before and he went off his feet.

Don't underestimate Haru. If she was left no choice but to fight, even in a disadvantage, she'll at least get a good bite, kick, or punch in. Maybe a combination of those things! She'll make sure you feel something later. She has the feistiness and the determination to make you regret it a percentage.

After being affiliated with the Vongola more and learning how to use her flames (box weapons are usually verse dependent but I sometimes keep some things the same between verses), she's learned how to at least hold her own a bit. She's stronger than she looks, and she is very flexible and agile. You may find yourself suddenly thrown onto the ground with her foot at your throat if you underestimate her too much.
