it'd be fangedfolk, since they're canine (dogs) and are most attracted to the humans'…hm , simplicity and openness, i suppose you could say? and possibly treefolk (primates). i based my beastfolks' basic common grounds with irl animals, as canines are pack animals and dogs are more emotionally connected to us. as for primates, humans have evolutionary connections, similar social intelligence, and the shared abilities to solve problems and such.

that said, while fangedfolk are the most likely to have a human "companion", they are also most likely to have a poly pack with their human. whiskeredfolk (feline) are probably in the top-middle of that list, if we were to have a most-to-least likely ranking, with toothedfolk (rodents) due to their prey/nervous natures and seafolks (aquatic) on how dangerous/rare they are to communicate with, at the very bottom. the reason why i feel the whiskeredfolk being in the top-middle is that they can be fairly arrogant and being independent, but adores the complete attention their human can give them and how easily they are to manipulate.

that said, this is extremely generalized list, since the list is not really factoring in specific sub-groups under these categories, such as lions being social animals and are more likely to acquire a human lover, cheetahs more likely to need a service human pet to help with their anxieties, maned wolf being solitary type, etc. and other facets, like countries/areas, cultures, when/which eras, political affiliations, etc.

"Besides, Aya-chan's there too." For a while now I've felt like Kanna is actually on Team Aya now that's she's had a chance to catch up with Mitsuki more and saw things for herself. I don't think she'd force the same spit up scenario that happened to her and Joe on them. More on that later.

Trying not to do a Joe-mama joke here, but Joe is really not used to Mitsuki choosing something like this for herself and he's not dealing with the change. TBF, she's not used to it either. *BLUSH*

After something like this they're probably used to her coming home as soon and she could get away, drained of energy, Joe treating her to something nice, ending the night comatose with her headphones in bed. Now that she did some typical teenager thing and seems fine he's feeling the tectonic shift.

Kanna first saw Mitsuki again after six years when she was having one of her best nights. She's where she's comfortable. She's got her girl with her (Kanna clocked that right away). She comes off really confident. It's nice to have that be someone's latest impression even if they find out some of the other things later.

I think her "get Joe to America through Mitsuki" fell on it's face out of the gate and she already sensed it when she saw them.

Game recognizes game.

She follows it up with their Girl's Day Out. Where Aya was on the forefront of Mitsuki's mind and she stepped out to spontaneously call her. Mitsuki isn't dreaming of America even it had been Joe's back in the day.

Kanna is vetting her.

Setting Aya up for a reaction with the classic "she's been talking about you..." Allowing the "ex gf" misunderstanding to sink in for a few seconds.

The "so cute" was Kanna's POV. Aya has passed all of the tests.

Bringing it back to this chapter: When Joe is having his anxiety scenarios about Mitsuki she's quick to say not to worry because she has Aya with her. And to me Mitsuki deciding to call Kanna about her social choices she's probably the one most up to date on how that relationship is going and that's her was conclusion.

ok so theres this museum in iceland called the 'the icelandic phallological museum' that features penises. Revisiting the Fire Chapter, I find myself enjoying Aspheera a lot more than I did the first time around. I just dig her, to me she's like a kid who talks hot shit about winning, but when she loses, stutters and stammers over how that doesn't count because... you cheated! Yeah, that's right. Aspheera doesn't want to accept that she messed up, that she lost fair and square, and instead comforts herself over the idea that the world is being uniquely unfair to her.

When Aspheera loses because Wu and Garmadon have Forbidden Spinjitzu, it's not fair because Wu didn't teach or even warn her about it. When Wu doesn't free Aspheera, she thinks he's betraying her, whilst ignoring how she went against HER promise to him. It'd have been one thing if Aspheera simply took control of the Serpentine with Spinjitzu, but then she attempted to start a race war with humanity.

And as Aspheera nurses herself with bitter tears over her poor fate, inevitably those emotions light into rage as she lashes out against the world. Her stealing Kai's element of Fire is fitting because she's being self-destructive, there's no endgame or larger goal, even her original dream to conquer Ninjago is explicitly abandoned when Char brings it up. What does Aspheera do after she banishes Wu, if everything goes right? She doesn't know! She's looking for an excuse to be angry. There's nothing left for her, so Aspheera would gladly destroy herself to accomplish her revenge, burning herself out; The Overlord's offer on the Crystal Council is just the spark she needs. It's all just one massive temper tantrum over the fact that she lost.

Aspheera's a massive womanchild who hasn't matured by coming to terms with the basic idea that sometimes you'll lose fair and square, and tbf some of that may be attributed to the fact that Aspheera probably WAS a child when her coup failed, and that she may have been imprisoned since that moment. If so, that does give more of a sympathetic angle to her; Obviously she's not like regular children, being actually, genuinely capable of harm because of her magic and Spinjitzu.

But if she was imprisoned since she was a kid and never let out until Season 11, then it's not like Aspheera would've had a chance to rehabilitate and properly grow; She's still a kid. And that would just feed further into her delusional victim complex, because Aspheera wasn't given a chance, so she's basically exempt from having to take responsibility and grow by herself.

Again, I really wish Crystalized did more with Aspheera, especially by having her interact with Harumi because I find them really similar; People who pretended to be friends with a member of the FSM family, then used, manipulated, and betrayed him. And yet they act like he's the one who failed them, and practically gaslight him over it by insisting they're the victim here.

Makes me wish Wu's attitude towards Aspheera, and how he's already learned to move on from her, was brought up in contrast to Lloyd still feeling regret over Harumi. Like Wu is there to tell it to his nephew straight, just move on, let go, it's not your fault, you did what you could and she made her choice. Obviously the circumstances behind who Lloyd and Wu were at the time of their betrayals makes them have very different attitudes, but by the end of the day, Lloyd's uncle can relate. And it can be a bonding activity that might feed into Lloyd's frustration with Garmadon that season, as he realizes his uncle was more there for him than his dad ever was.

been getting steadily more enamored of nabooru and ganondorf as an ideologically differing friends to ideologically opposed tragic enemies arc (which tbf, is what I try to turn every ambiguous relationship into. i like it) and have hence been Revolving Things and might make a more serious post at some point. but primarily I've been playing with the idea of Ganondorf being extremely hidden away for his early childhood bc Koume and Kotake were taking no chances on anything happening to him/decided time that could be spent on distractions would be better utilized learning to violate the laws of nature and listening to their renditions of That's My Lullaby every night, so very few people have actually seen him by the time he's a young teen.

Nabooru has definitely not seen him, because she has no interest in even trying, because this whole king thing seems sort of dumb (she's an edgy rebel teen a free thinker and absolutely is not bitter at all at her dreams of being gerudo president being ruined, etc). Nabooru also doesn't have many friends, which is totally because she doesn't want any, BUT while hanging out at one of the archery areas at times when other people usually didn't go, she has started running into this weird silent butch girl who seems extremely skittish (will not stick around if other people are showing up?) but is really fucking good at archery, very down to spar, and y'know she isn't familiar but she's probably just from a different area and it's fine if she's mute, Nabooru can do the talking. She doesn't seem that impressed with Nabooru's opinions, but at least she doesn't interrupt!

that is until one day when Nabooru is halfway into her recurrent Fantasy Genetics Distributing XY Chromosomes Is No Basis For a System of Government rant and nearly has a heart attack when Koume and Kotake turn up out of the blue, yelling something about 'this is where you've been running off to' and 'driving your poor old mothers into the grave with worry' and 'impressive illusion magic to make it look like you were still in your room, though' and Weird Silent Butch Girl(???) turns to her and in a slightly deeper voice than the norm is like 'well this is awkward'

Tbh I think as much as u can read into the other members of wxs being lonely before they found each other emu often gets ignored like. She’s been working at PXL since she was a little kid. She’s super social and outgoing and extroverted but the story treats everyone she talks to at her highschool like new acquaintances. My hot take in general is rui 🤝 emu 🤝 tsukasa 🤝 nene as the kids nobody wanted to be friends with (nene less so because she’s not weird as hell like the rest of the clowns. more so bc she’s very withdrawn) which is very sweet. I’m so glad they found each other (ugly crying). But I feel like it tends to get ignored unless people are talking about tsukasa or rui. Tbf a lot of rui’s arc is about experiencing isolation from his peers (so you kinda have to talk abt that to talk abt rui) but people are so much more willing to read into tsukasa also being isolated from his peers (a fair assumption given his lack of friends) than they are emu (who despite being portrayed as a social butterfly had nobody to relate to & no friends she talks abt until she met tsukasa & by extension nene and rui). Going insane going crazy etc emu had nobody else to share her dreams with and nobody else she could really talk to until wxs just like tsukasa but nobody cares abt this. Bc everyone reads the surface level silly girl characterization and refuses to read between the lines of her being Too Much for her peers like tsukasa & rui were. Esp given how little her family cared abt her dreams like just imagining little emu being like I want to restore the wonder stage & keep PXL in like with grandpas dreams being met with her brothers’s & dad’s scorn makes me so insane. I love that fucking Thang. The Creature. The Silly. Emu Ootori you are so special to me forever and always.

What’s the wildest scene you’ve ever written and what song is the soundtrack to that scene?

fr i'm bad at this thing you call "writing", especially actually advancing any of my wips so most if not all of them are stuck in 1-3 chapters limbo. so let me tell you about the plot point entirely inspired by me listening to stay awake? by bastille

i have give me the future (album) to thank for much of the vibe of my book keep staring. first with distorted light beam and then with stay awake? which immediately formed the image in my head of a dream version of piedad appearing in adam's head.

this is our thesis statement. later i would pair up stay awake? with drive by halsey to create one big moment between our two leads but i don't think the dubbed "car drive scene" is that wild. i actually don't know if the stay awake? scene is wild either but it's all i have that isn't the ending of any of my books, there's two i can think of that are especially wild (including this one). and they don't really have a soundtrack.

i listened to stay awake? but for a while it was simply a silly amv in my head... until i found this photo of piedad's fc lydia graham (that i used on that one netflix trend: keep staring edition). which i messaged by best friend with "this looks like piedad in one of adam's dreams"

further context: up until this moment adam had been indulging on this dream as a bad coping mechanism. but even a dreamer's dreams have limits and for the dreamers in my world that is not being capable of bringing human beings into the waking world. adam's coping lasts only as long as he's asleep and soon that starts to feel to him like getting poked with red hot metal. so he snaps at dream!piedad, as we see above. a few other responses from them include: "don't i look real?" and "you're mad at me now for being what you wanted?" and "like you ever cared." because when you're a dreamer sometimes your dreams will call you out for manipulating the dreamspace to your liking.

i have plans to have dream!piedad kill adam at some point. and the phrasing of that hopefully tells you it does not affect him in the waking world, aside from a rude awakening and he'll probably be hurting for a few days. i don't know if i want it to happen here, because i don't even know when this scene is going to happen and how much i want to sour whatever thing adam and his bad coping mechanism have going on.

the no death option looks a little like this: adam has an argument with dream!piedad, a full-on fight that has the dreamspace practically bursting at the seams, all the while dream!piedad sways between being that fantasy adam concocted (partly by accident tbf but hey he let it continue) and becoming angrier and angrier with him. but because ✨toxic relationship (yes even in his dreams he has so many issues)✨ it kinda goes nowhere, kiss it better. adam still feels like he's being prodded and prodded. the dreamspace can feel as real as the waking world to a dreamer, to the point most have a hard time discerning whether they've woken up or not sometimes, but there's always that knowledge... that it's fake. adam can dream himself fifteen different realities where he and piedad leave the city and forget everything.

but that doesn't change the real world. the city in keep staring is the result of me listening to dead club city by nothing but thieves so it tilts towards slightly dystopic and maybe a bit sentient. you can't just leave the city, or these characters can't, they're woven into its fabric. the story won't be letting them go that easily. if adam and piedad could just leave and forget, this wouldn't be a tragedy.

which brings us straight into the next chapter. the "car drive scene" chapter. i literally just talked about this on another post's tags but the drive by halsey chapter is from piedad's pov. adam's chapter ends (how? unsure, but we get no hints of what's about to happen) and we open with piedad doing their own thing... only to realise after his outburst in the dream adam drove to piedad's current place and asks if they want to go on a drive.

then the chapter happens and the experience of listening to stay awake? immediately followed by drive is surreal to me specifically because it really does feel like getting the two povs of my characters one after the other

My shifting experiences:

I HAVE shifted before! though a mini shift, I'll give you my stories!!

My first shifting experience wasn't anything too crazy, but I had woken up in my sister's bedroom, completely shrouded in darkness. I was alarmed because i thought i had taken a nap in there. But after trying to alert someone, I woke up in my bedroom. This was far different than any lucid dream I've ever had, because it was sudden and surreal. I was having a normal dream and all the sudden I was in pitch blackness and groggy, I could feel my entire body.

♡This second one still freaks me out. I was just laying my head down, talking to my boyfriend on the phone - but when i look up I'm in my DR bedroom for only a split second. It was absolutely insane and I had no idea how to react still.

♡My third one was me waking up to Kirishima gently nudging my shoulder, as my eyes slowly adjusted to my blue digital clock in pure darkness that i HAD SCRIPTED - I could hear him laugh and say "C'mooon, brooo!" and I have no idea the context of what was going on. I was just peacefully in my bunk bed! i guess that tracks, bc i still have no idea why he woke me up.

♡My fourth one was very vague and I don't have a clear memory of this, but it's my most recent success:

♡I woke up in my DR bed after a super rough day, and after allowing myself to relax and assuring myself i have all the time in the world to shift - I realized that something changed. I don't remember seeing anything, but when I wrote to my friends I said something like I could see my room but I don't necessarily remember it. Tbf, that was like a year ago and I'm hopping back into shifting again :)

Randomest update ever

I just finished watching the rest of Miraculous (S6???? ep 15-26)

I HAVE SO MUCH ON MY MIND OMG, so I will put a collective of all my thoughts in this tiny device. Maybe a few AU’s here and there, but mainly thought dumps.

First… WE COULD HAVE HAD ZOÉNETTE???? Like Zoé and Mari? I can see it now! Zoé and Mari holding hands as they walk off into the distance with Adrien in the background with this face;

No but srsly, it would have been so funny to see the ship, the show had been egging on for years, to be completely disregarded and tossed aside.

I would draw that vision, but alas, I CANNOT DRAW PEOPLE 😭

Tbf, Zoé and Mari actually make sense. Or Zoe’s side of the affection anyway. Marinette had helped her realize that nobody would treat her like garbage, aside from Chloé, there in Pari. All she ever did was respect Zoé. That’s enough to have someone’s adoration (see what I did there? ;>) …probably.

Anyway, Hawk-Moth… This dude… I love villains, believe me, I do, but I don’t like Gabes. He’s been bested by two/a team of teenagers too many times, and even when he’s so close to victory, SO CLOSE, he fails. again, and again, and again! I like Lila more because she actually commits to the role of the villain. Gabes is better when it comes to not villainy.

ONTO THE COOLER…NESS. Now, I suppose you all (or whoever is reading this) understand how the Miraculous of the Snake works. The ability to go back to an exact moment in time with Second Chance.

Now, what if that power had… a consequence? For instance, Ladybug had gotten hit and her wildest dream had been revealed. When Luka used Second Chance, it sent him back, yes, but what if it created a whole nother world? What if anytime Second Chance is used, it creates another world for another possibility? Meaning that the old world, the world Ladybug’s identity was revealed, has its own story after Second Chance is used. As well as the world where Cat Noir’s identity was revealed.

So then what happens to the holder? I’d say that their consciousness is transferred to the new world, which is how they retain their information. Well, what happens to their bodies? Hard to say, but maybe their consciousness is replaced and they’re forced to de-transform. Or maybe Second Chance doesn’t work when tried again.

I see an AU that goes like this—Luka opens his eyes only to see Marinette still living her wildest dreams. He used Second Chance already. Why didn’t time rewind? He sees the dreams man aiming for Cat Noir, and swiftly saves him. They run away and hide in the sewers. Luka tries again and again, but Second Chance won’t work. They both de-transform and Sass explains to Luka why Second Chance won’t work, or rather, it did, but Luka wasn’t transferred to the new reality, all while Adrien is gapping over the fact that Mari is LB. Second Chance won’t work even if he transforms again.

The two of them now have to face the “live your wildest dreams” man without Second Chance, or the Luck of the Ladybug. Can they do it?

The Miraculous of the Ladybug still exists, it’s just that dream man has it.

Will I write it? Probably not. It’d be very cool to see someone else’s take on such an AU. Plus writing block.

I’d much rather draw about it. ALAS, I CANNOT DRAW PEOPLE. 😭😭😭😭😭

I might just have to write it, the more I think about it, the more ideas I get. CURSES.

Anyway, for the last episode, I was really rooting for Bug Noir to end Gabes. 🙄

Hii<3 its good u specified not rebirth actually bc for rebirth i have no idea theyve made him so boring i cant think of anything that could be fun, but in a pre flashpoint future.. Im trying to think of something that would be thematically appropriate/something i can see tim coming up with but im so stumped bc both robin and red robin have been someone elses first and tim feels so tied to being a legacy guy, which isnt bad but. U know. I will take anything but robin at this point. Ive seen cardinal and rook around and i think you mentioned red heron once? Which are all great i enjoy them and i would love to see them. Britta and i also talked a lot about rosefinch but thats for a specific au... The thing is all these feel very random? I like them but i dont think tim would google a list of birds and just pick one he wants to be now (which is what i do. When trying to come up with a new tim identity) like i would like it to be something thats meaningful, like nightwing got offered to dick with a fitting story and robin is already a symbol, but i cant think of anything for tim rn.. It doesnt even have to be a bird tbf as much as i love a good bird. So im open to ideas i would love to hear what takes people have on this

Design wise i think ive been pretty loud about how much i love red robin in my ideal (and laziest) world i would simply keep that suit but thats not how it works.. I would definitely keep the cowl thats my one strong stance of the costume. Like aside from the fact that its sick in a freak way it is actually a good mask that conceals the face which. I know comics dont tend to care about but i do and i like it so<3 I also like this second design i think something like that could be fun it would never happen in rebirth but a girl can dream basically predictably enough my ideal costume would just be a modified red robin costume

Oh that. Yeah it's been a hot minute so your anons might have forgotten, but the villains never came back for Twice's corpse. It was a fear Hawks had yes, but remember this guy zoomed right back to clean up the corpse and blood. He knew for damn sure nobody found Twice. If Twice's body was missing he would've sounded an alarm about it, but it wasn't. He found the crime scene intact, and that's why as soon as he sees Toga use SPM he knew it was Dabi who must've done it, because he was the only one present and near the body. And I wonder if Hawks asking him all those questions was also partially to distract him from the body? Because he only started asking after Dabi said "with Twice around, my dream had a way better chance of coming true!" that would've made him fear Dabi realizing he could just take Twice's blood and give it to Toga. He was right too, but after he heard the League got grabbed by Machia, and found Twice's corpse undisturbed when Compress could've marble-d it, he must've thought it was safe.

What happened was that after Tokoyami left, and right before Machia grabbed the League, Dabi says in chapter 341 that that was the moment he nabbed some of Twice's blood. Idk what that anon is on, there was no blood taken from the Twice clone, it was all goop. Dabi's word choice is interesting, because he strictly says "original body" so I don't think Toga can use clone blood, or if she can, she just won't think to. She has a 30-40 minute then SPM is over.

And Hawks couldn't have found Ujiko's hideout no matter what he did. Because he only knew what PLF was planning, not what AFO and Ujiko were planning with freeing AFO's main body and making him healthy again. He had no involvement in the OFA-AFO plot bullshit, neither Shigaraki nor PLF knew about it either. It was all secret. And tbf, on Ujiko using the Double Clone idk if the heroes knew about that, but it's not important. He's captured, Miruko found the original, the Nomu with the quirk was killed, it caused absolutely zero issues for them and was cleaned up neatly. Hell, thanks to them finding the fake Ujiko before the real one, it led them to Ujiko's lab with Shigaraki's tank. Worked out fine in the end, it's not really something to bring up. I will say tho, the Jeanist revival is definitely some insanity we have no answers for. That's a fair complaint. The least Hori could've done is said the docs revived him, but he went and had Hawks say that he, personally revived Jeanist, and last I checked he wasn't a mad scientist capable of reverting Nomu death states. So what gives Hawks?!? As for finding him despite the cameras on his wings, I suppose he could've sent a feather to drag Jeanist's corpse out of the fridge or sweet talked Skeptic into shutting the cameras off for a bit to steal him. Or just taken the whole wings off and made it seem like he was chilling on the roof, facing one way while his wingless body zoomed in and out of the storage, before sneaking up behind his own wings at an angle the cameras couldn't see and carefully reattaching them.

Yeah, I thought that was what happened in regards to Hawks and Twice's body. Also it points towards Dabi's planning that not only did he go into the fight with a camera to film Twice's potential death, he also thought to bring something to store his blood just in case as well (yet this goes ignored by fandom because Dabi has to have been so broken up about his death...)

Sadly the anime never made Hawks finding Jeanist any clearer T-T In fact he was there in person for his rescue, something I don't really know how he accomplished with the cameras considering Hori had him be so careful when creating a code for the heroes. My guess is that he never really thought much about it even though he wanted Jeanist to be rescued and revived.

You're theory about how he removed his feathers to make Skeptic think he was somewhere is probably the soundest theory over how he succeeded. Makes you wonder why they kept them on his wings though when they should know that Hawks can remove them XD

Again, it probably wasn't Hori put much thought into.

As for Hans and Pip headcannons, I don't have many and the ones I do have aren't very interesting 😭

Hans is very theatrical, as we know, and I always imagined him not really knowing anything about commanding, fighting, and military stuff in general past firing his guns (and kicking huge explosives without them detonating ig). So if Hans and Pip ended up in a fight Hans would just run around doing backflips and shit while Pip would try to yell at him what to do so he doesn't get hurt. I think it would be great in an AU where he joins the wild geese a bit before the events of Hellsing. I Imagine Hans just rushing head first into a fight, having something blow up in his face and Pip going through all stages of grief before he sees that Hans just turned into mist before the explosion. This one is pretty subversive because you'd imagine Hans being the more serious Captain and Pip being not that good at it (tbf idk what he wanted to accomplish by waisting all ammo and explosive they had when the Hellsing mansion was stormed, my dude if you know the vampires are hiding behind hills just stop spamming till they're out smh)

Not really a headcannon but the fact that they both have the status of captain - cute af, great dynamic, maybe if you disregard the previous point they fight who's the better one.

This headcannon is something that kinda goes for every supernatural Hellsing OC I ever made and Anderson. If both Captains were at the Hellsing manor and Alucard was being a "vampiric asshole" Hans would just decapitate him as some fucked up version of "shut up and go away >: (". Idk why I just find it so fucking funny.

Hans and Pip swap uniforms often. Not much of an explanation for this one, just think it would be cute as hell.

Idk why I feel like Hans would be very shy when he's with Pip around other people, at least for some time he would be the stoic cinder block merging with the background like he is in the anime, but after a bit he would soften up. No smiles in public untill the first month, it's not his fault that he's no whore 😔

Pip is obviously the more social one, so whenever they go anywhere he does all the talking, but doesn't pretend that Hans is just not there, he's just more like "yeah that's me and my mute boyfriend" but he'd definitely jokingly tease him with shit like "c'mon at least smile" or "What? You don't even know sing language now? Mal, mal mal..."

Pip is a rainbow pride flag kinda guy and Hans is a mlm pride flag kinda guy (if you know you know)

"Loup garou" is Pip's pet name for Hans, I swear it's cute but even though I've been learning french for two years I can't provide any examples 😭😭😭

This one is stupid and silly as fuck but, at least to me, the wolf-wolf form, ya know, the giant fucking dog form of Hans from the begging of his fight with Seras? Yeah that one. It's impossible that in it he isn't similar size to Baskerville. I imagine Pip riding him in that form like a horse. Just zooming. Like Alice and Bayard in the live action movie.

If you put Pip and Hans in the same room as Integra and Seras and hit record you would get the best "mlm and wlw roast each other" quotes (who am I kidding, only wlw roasting mlm)

Hans likes to turn into mist to sneak up on Pip, no matter how much and how often this happens he just thinks it's smoke from his cigarette
