When the Pabu Island Players decide to put on a play about the Bad Batch, some… ah, liberties are taken. Much to the consternation of some of the audience. Yes, who doesn’t need a shameless ripoff of one of the best episodes of Avatar, Bad-Batch-style?

so...what do we think of omega leading a squadron of experimental fighters and insanely overqualified pilots and it being a mirror of clone force 99
(it's called havoc squadron btw and when they get called in their entrances are exactly like the bad batch's entrance in tcw s7)
(they start out as a squad of pilots but they're eventually a spec ops squad due to previously mentioned overqualifications)
(the other members may or may not be mox, deke, and stak and they occassionally get help from a "liberator of ancient wonders" named lyana hazard and a scientist named emerie karr)
(this concept may or may not be my next fic...)

Can we talk about Deke putting his hand on Omega to comfort her and what it means? It means that Omega DID get to meet and befriend the three baby clones Hunter rescued and they have developed good relationships offscreen. And Deke trying to comfort his big sister? So cute.

Also my brain: What if the original Bad Batchers die and Omega leads a new team with the clone cadets and Batcher

My submission for May the Fourth:
A portrait of The Havoc Squadron - One of the most brash and efficient squads in the entire Rebel Alliance; known for being comprised entirely of clones (and Gonky), as well as their compassion, unparalleled efficiency, and their.... "unorthodox" tactics in battle.
AKA, Rebel Commander Omega Karr, with her brothers: Mox, Stak, and Deke, just before they left Pabu to join the rebellion.
Listen, I know Omega got taller, but...... yeah.
Unfiltered version + Fun facts below!

So, the notes I had for designing what I think the boys would look like,
Mox - His appearance plays a homage to Hunter, who I think became his great mentor. The bandana and grown out hair specifically. Warm tones.
Stak, Omega's primary co-pilot - I took inspiration from Cal Kestis's Survivor outfits. He's more eager for a fight than the others. But, he has the "standard trooper cut" in terms of hair. Cool tones.
Deke - Pabu clothes, Pabu style, with the notes "Give him that Howzer-level fade" as I was conceptualizing appearances. Earthy tones.

I know it's still pretty soon to make these kinds of assumptions but how much y'all wanna bet that next year at Star Wars Celebration Tokio we'll get an announcement of an animated show about adult Omega leading her own squad?
I mean, her potential team is pretty much already there. Deke, Stak and Mox, for example. Maybe some of the kids from the Vault, though they don't have training with the Force and who knows if they'll ever be able to get it. But you know who has it? Gungi! C'mon Star Wars, give us Omega and Gungi as the Han Solo and Chewie 2.0., don't be scared. Maybe it could also be a great way to bring Cal Kestis to the TV screen? Even Lyana could join their team!
And Pabu would be their home base where they come back from time to time to restock and recharge or lick their wounds or repair their ships and we'd get a glimpse at our boys and their life because there's no way Omega isn't checking in at least once in a while okay?
Not to mention, that if Omega is joining the ranks of the Rebelion as a pilot, there is absolutely no fuckin way she won't be crossing paths with her old bestie General Hera Syndula

Hunter & Kids Meet Emerie & Kids
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I have an HC that Crosshair stuns Emerie at every chance he gets. In part for revenge for his time at Tantiss, but also because, ya know, they're siblings.

Designs for adult versions of the clone cadets in bad batch as Rebellion leaders
The first weird thing I noticed was that they kept specifying that tbb are "defective CTs", whereas iirc most other clones leave out the "ct" part. additionally, "special training" must have been a reasonably expected occurrence for them, since it was used as the Hemlock-jungle-lab excuse. they're also, oddly enough, the only three survivors from a base full of both cadets and adult clones. and finally, all three of them have noticeably different face shapes.
so my guess for their origins is that they're the results of the kaminoans trying to replicate tbb's mutations in a commando template, making them all specialized CC command cadets. From what we've seen of them, they don't seem to have quite as prominent abilities as say, wrecker or hunter, but are definitely above average to have survived that long.
Anyways the mini-backstory for them here is that they end up joining the rebellion around 5 years later (assuming that they're 6/12 and 8/16 in tbb s3, they would be 11/22 and 13/26 here) as the lead squad for the clone rebel cell after rex, wolffe, and gregor retire (and echo and cody are presumably dead).
Bonus: I originally had Deke's hair as dyed blond, but then he started looking too much like Rex (esp with the jaig eyes and partial arc armor) so I changed it back

I’m so looking forward to Mox, Stak, and Deke meeting Omega on Pabu! Omega’s going to have siblings her age (not age up I mean) and it’s going to be a blast! The clone shenanigans that will ensue! Imagine 🤩

Thank you.
Thank you for the amazing journey you have put all of us on. We laughed, cried, screamed, kicked our feet and giggled. We've watched these characters grow into the beautiful people they are now, and while we fear for their fates, we will stick with them all the way.
Thank you, Hunter, for being such a caring brother. You are my personal favorite. You watched out for your brothers, took care of your sister. You were so strong and understanding, you are such a symbol, and you will continue to be loved years after your story ends.
Thank you, Tech, for providing all the rambles and info dumps that we could possibly need. Your explanations and your bravery will never be forgotten. We hope to see you one last time before the end of this show, but if we don't, you will be loved all the same.
Thank you, Wrecker, for always bringing life to this series. Your laugh is contagious, and it's always a delight to see you smile. You were the Batch's biggest protector, the glue that held them all together, the one carrying the squad. May your strength, both inside and out, be recognized as this series comes to a close.
Thank you, Crosshair, for giving us such an edge-of-our-seat story. Your struggles, your triumphs, your development; words cannot begin to express just how masterful and complex your character is. Your story has touched so many hearts, and we hope you get the happy ending you deserve.
Thank you, Echo, for being such a comfort character to us. A familiar face in these trying times. We've followed you through The Clone War all the way to this moment, and we are extremely proud of you. Your dedication to your brothers is unmatched. While we didn't get to see a lot of you in this final season, we hope that this isn't the end of your story, and that we will continue to see your adventures unfold in the future.
Thank you, Omega. Oh, sweet Omega. Watching your journey has been quite the adventure. It brings tears to our eyes when we think about how far you've come. You are the light and joy of the Batch, and your kindness has changed all of their, and our, lives. We wish you peace and happiness, and hope you finally get to live the childhood you never had.
Thank you, every single character that has appeared in this series; the new faces, the returning fan-favorites, and even the ones we love to hate. You have made this series rich with adventure, wonder, and emotion.
Thank you to the production crew: Dee Bradley Baker, Michelle Ang, and the rest of the cast and crew for making this all happen. We wouldn't be here if it weren't for your innovative writing and masterful portrayals of these characters. You have moved us in ways we'd never be able to fully express, and we applaud you for everything you've done.
And thank you, writers, artists, fans, and more for expanding this amazing series into an immersive universe where we can all come together and express our love for this show. The fanart, fanfictions, short films, headcanons, cosplay, and every other kind of media that has been shared through this series has all been wonderful to see.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
But don't get sad yet. The series finale may be tomorrow, but this? This fandom?
We've only just begun.

Incorrect Havoc Squadron Quotes
[Omega, rolling up to Yavin 4]
Random Rebel: Wow, you look just like our chief medic, Emerie.
Omega, deadpan: What a coincidence.
___
Stormtrooper: You have the right to remain silent.
Deke: Well, I revoke that right.
Deke: *Starts screaming.*
___
Omega: It's kinda weird to see Kallus on our side after he spent so much time trying to capture my squad.
Ezra: Wait, capture your squad??? *Turns to Kallus* I thought you spent all your time trying to capture my squad.
Kallus: I have a life outside of you, Ezra.
___
Hera: Omega! How have you be-
Omega: From the moment I met you, all those years ago, not a day has gone by when I haven't thought of you. And now that I'm with you again... I'm in agony. The closer I get to you, the worse it gets. The thought of not being with you-- I can't breathe. You're asking me to be rational. That is something I cannot do. Believe me, I wish I could just wish away my feelings, but I can't.
___
Bounty Hunter: We have your commander.
Mox, Stak, Deke: [Exchanging glances.]
Stak and Deke: [Start laughing uncontrollably]
Mox: Yeah, no. She has you. Good luck! *Hangs up.*
___
Stak: Whoops.
Mox: Whoops? WHOOPS? This is not a “whoops” situation. We are far past whoops. Whoops is a distant speck in the rear view mirror. We are solidly in “oh fuck” territory, and I expect you to act like it!
___
Stak: Would you be mad if I just used the argument "I'm allowed to say that, my sister is a lesbian"
Omega: Never. I'm proud to help you win arguments.
___
The Havoc Squadron: Go big or go home!
The Rebellion Generals (sans Hera): I am begging you, for once in your life, please go home!
The Havoc Squadron: ...I'm going big!
___
Omega: I have a plan.
Mox: And I have Emerie on speed dial.
___
Omega: We all have our demons.
Mox, Stak, and Deke all point at Omega: That one's mine.
