Schmooey when the kids need stealth:
Schmooey when the Zillo Beast is terrorizing the troopers and stomping/chomping its way out of Tantiss base, literally tearing metal walls apart and causing heaps of destruction wherever it goes:

Can we talk about Sami for a sec?
She's not the precocious kid. Not the one with the sweet voice who'll break your heart with their innocence, curiosity, and optimism.
She's not the defiant kid. Not the one who'll rage and fight and inspire you with their rebellious spirit.
But she's the one taking it upon herself to care for baby Bayrn. She's the one gently reminding them of how to keep out of trouble. She's the one trying to reassure the new kid that things won't feel this bad forever.
I'll always have a special place in my heart for the kids that aren't as noticeable as their peers. The ones making themselves as small and silent as possible to keep everyone else safe and happy. Don't worry. We see you too.

I really want to see Bayrn turn into a force wielding version of Jack Jack.
Imagine these stormtroopers who think they can all handle a baby and then

Rebel Omega (and friends) Headcanons
AU where all the vault kids grow up to become Rebels and form their own cell. We'll call them the Tantiss Cell, deliberately named such because it causes the Empire (who never figured out who destroyed Mt. Tantiss) to freak out, assuming they're an elite special forces squadron.
In reality it's Omega, Jax, Eva, Sami, and Bayrn. Also Gonky and Batcher.
-Omega's squadron leader and tries to handle it the way Hunter used to, the only problem is that she can be a little too chaotic sometimes. The squad has to pull her back from some of her more daring operation ideas. Naturally she's also the designated pilot and tracker. She finally gets to use her energy crossbow to fight, but she also brought one of Hunter's knives along.
-Bayrn (since we saw him move things with the Force) found himself a Jedi mentor in the form of an Order 66 survivor. One who agreed to settle on Pabu and train him in Jedi ways. He's the cells strongest fighter as a result. He wields a dual-bladed lightsaber (blue in color). He's one of the more level-headed members of the squadron thanks to his Jedi training.
-Sami's the team doctor and a real mother hen sometimes. She constantly fusses over everyone in the squadron and encourages them to be cautious, while she can be overbearing everyone appreciates her care and concern for them. She tries to stay out of the fighting but carries a blaster pistol just in case.
-Jax is the heavy weapon's expert, the guy they call on to take down Imperial vehicles and fortified positions. He learned all about how to do it from Wrecker on Pabu. He carries an old Clone Wars era minigun and wears heavy armor. He isn't as wild as Wrecker but he and Omega totally match each other in wanting to pull the most daring missions. He's fiercely protective of the whole group. Also helps Omega with taking care of the ship.
-Eva's the team sniper and also Omega's copilot. She adores Batcher and loves to explore the Galaxy, always finding a way to look on the bright side. After all, they escaped Mt. Tantiss as children, so they can totally take down the Empire together. Crosshair donated his rifle to her since he can't use it anymore.
-Their handler is Emerie Karr whose grown to be an officer in the Rebellion. She was picked because she's one of the few people who can handle Omega's antics.
They frighten the Empire with their reputation of being the ones to destroy Mt. Tantiss, using it to draw all their forces to protecting their most vital infrastructure when they hear the Tantiss Cell is in town, so that they can hit some other target instead. The best part is that the Empire think they're doing a great job stopping them.
Of course they visit Pabu regularly, coming back with all sorts of war stories for their families to hear. Lyana's the only one who didn't join the Rebellion but they all drop by her house to talk whenever they're in town while she calmly listens like this all completely normal.

Random finale prediction:
Omega releases the Zillo Beast to cover her and the kids escaping from Tantiss.
Echo is with Emerie when this happens. Emerie is Very Worried about this unexpected turn of events. Echo, however, knows exactly who released the Zillo Beast. (Of course, it’s Omega. Who else would release such a dangerous beast to provide ample coverage?)
Eventually, Echo and Emerie find Omega and the kids among the chaos of Tantiss. The kids are understandably still scared about being able to get out successfully — and they’re worried about using what weapons Omega pilfered for them.
And Omega very kindly tells them, “It’s okay. I used to have trouble with weapons. Big lesson for using them today is — it’s all about tuning out distractions when you’re firing.”
Cue Echo getting teary and proud at hearing Omega pass along the same advice to the kids that he once gave her.

WARNING EPISODE 13 SPOILERS
Episode 13 doodles! I am somehow feeling more and less dread for the finale after this episode. I AM SO HAPPY WE LEARNED BAYRNS NAME!! Omega really looked at those kids and said "My dads taught me how to break out of prison" This might be my favorite episode of the season it was a great mix of fun and suspenseful.
the scene where they strip the paint off their armor has me in shambles. Clones armor is so important to them and the fact they got rid of it for their kid is so meaningful. I think it is also the most meaningful with Crosshair he just got his agency back he is still regaining his identity, and returning to his pre-empire armor was so important to that, now that he has lost his paint it almost looks like his imperial outfit again. He wears it differently it is still distinct more white and worn than his imperial armor ever was. like a symbol of him going back to Tantiss. He's a changed man because of his family but he's going back to something he abandoned. idk that really got me.
