Unforgivable
Turn the loans back on With the flip of a switch But don't tax the rich Don't tax the religious Instead, just dangle the prize Student loan forgiveness To keep them in line

“The divorce between Church and State ought to be absolute. It ought to be so absolute that no Church property anywhere, in any state or in the nation, should be exempt from equal taxation; for if you exempt the property of any church organization, to that extent you impose a tax upon the whole community.”
-- President James A. Garfield

Christians AS A WHOLE have been fostering this sort of attitude for 2000 fucking years. And they want us to respect their right to their faith? Fuck them. All of them, without hesitation, reservation, or remorse.

"We are defending the traditional faith of our culture!"
Bitch, modern Evangelicalism didn't exist before the 1890s, when it stole the name of a pre-Civil War Great Awakening thing to be an utterly political church movement opposed to women's suffrage and organized labor.
This thing has been wealthy business owners weaponizing religion to con the middle class into clinging to them from Day One.
And let us not forget that branch of Evangelicals in the South, who became the modern Baptists. There was a big split between them and the other "old" Evangelicals starting in like the 1830s. Guess what about.
If you are a fundamentalist Evangelical in 2023, you are not the inheritor and defender of God's ancient truth. You're a dipshit who prays at the American Fascism Church.
