Plus, again: seventeen, nerdy emo girl phase. Everything I wrote on that blog was the highest form of OOC cringe like you just saw a stripper accidentally slam her hoo-ha on a pole bullshit for me. The only reason I'm not deleting it is because I'm a memory hoarder and despite all the bad, I want to keep it for all the good that happened there as well. Besides, it's the account that I ran imagine-reborn (an imagines blog for Katekyo Hitman Reborn) under and I figured, if nothing else, I could get a few laughs and maybe even learn a thing or two from how god-awful teenage me was at writing.

* So far, I've only played the first installment of Final Fantasy 7 Remake because I currently do not own a PS5, but I'm working on it. The Compilation of Final Fantasy 7 is my absolute favorite series of all time. I could watch Advent Children ( original and complete ) on repeat, and I've played the original release so many times that I don't even need a guide to get a 100% on a brand new save ( Obsessed much? Yup ). I'm a completionist at heart, and this game is amazing and it provides a massive sense of nostalgia for me.

** SLIGHT SPOILER (maybe? You've been warned) Another amazing installment in the Final Fantasy series, this game is so well written in my opinion. It stays away from the bigger cliches you see in most RPGs ( eg : the guy gets the girl, friendship is the key to saving the world, etc. ), the characters are so individually complex, the villain technically wins and reminds you how easy it would be for you to become the same type of monster. Plus badass women that fix your car, lights up entire cities, wakes up the fucking Gods to fight on your side, takes the entire mercenary army they led and defects to your side? IN HEELS? YES PLEASE. It has one of the best enemy turned ally characters in the FF series; I'm just disappointed we didn't get to see much of Aranea after everything in Tenebrae. Also Ardyn has some serious daddy vibes, and I would literally give my left tit just to lick Aranea's boot ( oh, the things I would do to these two, phew~ ).

*** Let's be real here. The Kingdom Hearts Series makes zero sense if you didn't play all of them and you didn't pay attention to each and every detail, and I did neither. I played 2 and 3 when they originally came out, but in my defense: it doesn't look like a series that follows a singular story, something that I did not know at the time, and usually the series I play have an entirely different story per installment ( eg : Final Fantasy and Tales Of ). I tried to piece together the story from online synopses and second hand game play ( I watched someone else play ), and it just didn't work out. So, suffice to say, my knowledge of Kingdom Hearts goes about as far as basic facts regarding Organization XIII because they were my whole reason for trying the games in the first place. I'm still open to discussion about it, though! Just keep in mind my side will be very limited. Sorry!

story behind url: i didn't actually start out as altosk, i remember. i'm pretty sure my original url was something like blastia-hearted and i was apart of a rp group but i believe when i went indie i wanted to change it up. i always liked simpler, shorter names and lucky enough altosk, the name of don whitehorses guild in game that raven was apart of before joining the main characters group, wasn't taken. i have hoarded it ever since and you'll never get it from my cold dead hands!!!! xoxo

fun fact about me: i'm not sure i have any fun facts? i got into the fandom with tales of symphonia and it remains one of my most favorite games of the series, but tales of vesperia definitely holds a certain special spot in my heart. i can name probably every tales of game there is but i've only ever played symphonia, vesperia, abyss, graces, xillia 1&2 and legendia from beginning to end. i have played, yet to finish berseria, zesteria, phantasia, innocence and arise. i hope one day we get remasters of older games like destiny 1&2 or im finna have to start emulating again. i am, sorry to the fans of this game, very much a disowner of tales of symphonia 2. i have also played all the mobile variations (ugh even luminaria LOL not that it lasted long) and i still semi-actively play tales of the rays. uuuh okay that's it!!

Now that one of the whump fics is out of the way, it's a toss-up between what I want to clear out next. There's a Michelle-centric Mother's Day fic where I can make myself and everyone else feel sad in 10k words or more!, but that's cutting it very close and it's always a busy time for me at IRL Work so it's understandable for that to be posted whenever.

Right now it's a toss-up between wanting to do: - Celia/Michelle smut (I have a couple tucked away somewhere in that unorganized mess I call my USB Drive) - a fic where Yelsy has to stop Michelle from dropkicking Gaspard off a cliff - that one Lumi fic that crosses over with Berseria ft. Velvet and Sorey in Silvayer that I've had sitting in my AO3 drafts for over two months now - that AU where Michelle Has A Gun And Knows How To Use It and Celia is Immediately Attracted - one of the summer-themed Celia/Michelle WIPs - planning and writing out the Lumi Sunrise Event fic (which I should be doing, now's the perfect time!) - Lumi Fairy Tale Month planning for the summer - The Talon Trick ch2 - DannyMay stuff - next entry/half-finished WIP in the Velvet/Eleanor Modern AU - something for a different fandom depending on the fixation

So Malakhim/Seraphim are canonically not born like humans are but either reincarnated from humans or born directly from earthpulses and have no blood relations, family depending entirely on emotional connections

Considering this, and that they technically don't have physical forms the way humans do but gain appearance by using something as a vessel (it's been a while idk), I think it's safe to assume that they have no need for reproductive organs or ever created rigid gender roles the way humans have

My point is, Malakhim/Seraphim are probably sexless, gender depends on what the person in question identifies as and are super chill about different gender identities because who even gives a shit aside from those weird ass humans?

Do you respond to comments, why or why not? I try to, though I have to shamefully admit I pick and choose which ones I respond to. I appreciate every comment I get, of course, every writer does, but idk, I just feel like a broken record responding to all similar shorter comments with “Thank you so much!!! I’m so happy you liked it <3″ or something like that... Is that cruel of me? >_> I also feel weird responding to comments on my super old stuff, because aside from a few exceptions, I don’t really like most of my old fics anymore alkgklflkkl and I barely remember them enough to be able to give a reasonable response to comments on those. Instead I just put all my energy into responding to longer, more detailed comments, because with those I actually have more to work with to say back... But again, I love all my comments!! I’m really sorry if I don’t respond to your comment, it doesn’t mean I’m not grateful, I just don’t know what to say back OTL

What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending? Haaaah, there are a few, but proooobably the most angsty ending would be in “Smile, and maybe tomorrow, you’ll see the sun.” Since the thing is basically 12k words of agonizingly drawn-out All Might death... :’) Though I meant for the actual ending to be somewhat hopeful/bittersweet? and I surely have other ones that have more painful endings... But that’s the obvious one that comes to mind, since I’ve had multiple people yell at me for it. :)

Have you ever received hate on a fic? I can’t remember any instances of outright hate, but I’ve gotten some... odd comments every once in a while... Or just some annoying criticism that the person didn’t intend to be mean about, I don’t think, but that realllly wasn’t warranted. These comments are very rare though.

Do you write smut? If so what kind? Noooo way in hell lol

Have you ever had a fic stolen? ....I mean, not that I know of!

Have you ever had a fic translated? Yeah, I think I had at least one someone asked to translate into Russian, although they put it on FF.net lol

Have you ever co-written a fic before? No... I really want to though. Multiple friends and I have planned different ones, but we haven’t gotten around to doing any of them yet because I’m into different fandoms atm and also dealing with health problems that distract me.... My ex-friend and I had a major one that was in the planning stages, but then she stopped being my friend so it never got off the ground. :’) I’m still upset about that...

What's your all time favorite ship? Mmmmm that’s hard; I don’t ship that much at all, so although I have a few favorite ships, one in particular doesn’t really stand out to me as my hardcore OTP.... Buuut I guess I would say Snow/Serah from FFXIII; I love ff13 so much, it’s so special to me, and those two are just the absolute sweetest and the heart and soul of the game 🥺❤️ I haven’t written anything for them or ff13 in general, but maybe someday.

What's a WIP that you want to finish but don't think you ever will? I only ever have one WIP at a time, so..... Hopefully not my current long one, I am constantly trying to slap myself for thinking, intimidated as I am by it with all my ideas for it and all the research I need to do. :’)

What are your writing strengths? I think I’m really good at writing characters’ emotions... the emotions they show, and everything they’re feeling internally. I really like the stream-of-consciousness style of internal monologue I’ve started using within the last few years; I think it’s very... cathartic? In general I just think I’m good at writing softness, cause I definitely feel the soft feels rereading my stuff lol

What are your writing weaknesses? Motivation.... starting a writing session and not getting distracted.... ADHD.... what do I do. :’) Although I just said I like that stream-of-consciousness style I use, I often feel like I use it too much, or things get redundant, and too wordy and overwhelming, bah..... I’m also shit at just.... knowing things, like worldbuilding, but like, real-world stuff that everyone knows, but I’ve been living under a rock my whole life and not done a lot of things that are normal for most other people, so I struggle with that in my writing, which is why all my fics not-so-subtly eek around mentioning things like food and irl places and so much else, haaah.... now I’m got myself writing 1800s Victorian London; someone save me

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic? Ehhhh only do it veryyyy sparingly, like when a character is startled and might briefly revert to their native language, or something similar. I just did that in one of my recent fics, actually, and looked up a few Russian words, being super anal about getting it right.... and I still got a comment correcting my Russian, even though it was only like 3 words in the entire thing, with nothing else to say about the rest of the fic... it was a little frustrating :’)

What was the first fandom you ever wrote for? Akatsuki no Yona/Yona of the Dawn. That was the first series that really got me into fandom and making online friends, and gave me the courage to try writing fics; I’m so grateful to it for that, and it still remains one of my favorite mangas <3 Ah, to be able to pump out fics as easily and quickly as I did back then...

What's your favorite fic you've ever written? I think it’s still “Manufactured Hearts, Real Happiness”, the sole Tales of the Abyss fic I’ve written. TotA is my favorite game of all time, and I wrote this for a Tales big bang that happened a while back; it turned out much longer than I ever anticipated, one of my longest fics to date, and pretty much exactly how I wanted it to be, which is always the best feeling... I was so happy to feel like I did my favorite game justice. :’) Now.... my dream is for my current WIP to become my new favorite, if I can pull it off right; we’ll see :’)

it depends on what you mean by crossover. i don’t go full fusion where the characters from one fandom meet characters from another, but i do like to put characters from one universe in another. idk if it counts as crazy, but yakekomu is a hashimada crossover with the punisher

nah. i’ve gotten a backhanded compliment and unsolicited concrit here and there, i guess, but both of those things are well intentioned. definitely not hate

i do aksdfjlafj. i feel like you can do a lot of introspection/character studies through that lens, so it's really interesting to me. it’s a good setting for exploring emotional vulnerability and intimacy, you know?

i do have an all time favorite dynamic, though. friends whose ideals align but approaches diverge, so they're forced to fight each other despite being in love (e.g. professor x and magneto, hashirama and madara, gojo and geto)

14. What's a WIP you want to finish, but don't think you ever will?

joke’s on you, i’m picking two. the first is cadmus, the fic where hashirama dies instead of madara and everyone has to deal with it. the second is a sword dancer-inspired hashimada fic that i’m desperate to finish because the concept of symphonia’s sword dancer fits madara perfectly

uhhhhhhhh i have very niche interests, so i think bring some fresh content?

1. typos. 2. i get bored pretty fast, so i think i tend to skip sections people might enjoy reading. 3. i also tend to bounce around, so it can take me a long time to finish/i forget what i was doing

hmmm i’m not totally sure what this means? if i were better at spanish and japanese, i’d be happy to write dialogue in them. i’ll crack open a dictionary for spanish naruto fic, or i’ll copy and paste text into google translate LOL

but if this is asking what i think about not translating words/phrases from non-english media, it depends. i use “jujutsu sorcerer” rather than jujutsu-shi, but i tend to write “kage bunshin” instead of “shadow clone” and “technique” instead of “(no) jutsu”

That would require me actually finishing a fic now wouldn’t it? 😅🤣 I digress, I’d have to say that title goes to ‘To You My Love I Never Knew’. I wrote that one shortly after the passing of my great-grandmother to cope with the loss. 💔

I have! I quite enjoy them! (If you count mixing different FF titles in the same story anyway!) In fact I’ve got a crossover between FFVII and KH popping up in one of my fics in the future! (I just have to write that far! XD)

Yeah 😢 At least 3 that have long since been deleted. I’ve been insulted and had my ideas called stupid. It’s not very nice. 😡

12. What’s your all-time favourite ship?

CloudxZack, AKA: Clack/Zakkura. They make such good friends in their respective games and I love their interactions, dynamics, and personalities both together and separately. I dunno, shipping them has always given me comfort during rough patches. I’m a sucker for friends to lovers I guess you could say, that sense of closeness and togetherness that I love seeing in fiction~ 💚 

13. What was the first fandom you wrote for?

Resident Evil 2 featuring Leon and Claire XD (It was so so awful and I still have it in my bookshelf crammed full of my spiral notebooks from school - also filled with fic before I had reliable computer access)

14. What’s your favourite fic you’ve written? 

DragonHeart. It was my first fic I ever hit over 100,000 words in and for years and years I had always wanted to combine FFVII and dragons in a story. Finally figured out how to do it about 5 years ago now. I’ve grown and learned a lot from that story and it’s my favorite piece to lay down and relax with before bed, to give me comfort and quell my head before I sleep 😊 It was also the first fic I was ever able to create a full outline for, which is why it’s so long now! I keep adding more! XD

I just realized a week from now (okay, technically five days from now, but you get the idea) it’s going to be White Day and the day after will be the Ides of March aka NANOHA TAKAMACHI’S BIRTHDAY and I really, really want to write both a Veleanor White Day fic (have at least three ideas but the “Modern AU where Velvet fucks Eleanor in a frozen meat locker while it’s peak shopping hours because Eleanor suddenly got kinky and initiated tonsil hockey with her in public and chocolates just have that aphrodisiac effect on people” idea is looking very tempting atm) and a Nanoha/WoW fic where Nanoha and the gang end up in Azeroth during the second Scourge invasion in the Shadowlands era (idk why, I guess they’re doing a routine patrol around Mid-Childa when they get an SOS from the Vindicaar and follow it from there) and she’s all but raring to go on busting out Starlight Breakers on all those zombies and frostwyrms that are wreaking havoc but Hayate and Fate are nagging in her ear not to even think about going overboard because ‘hey, we’re noticing some strange magical energy readings coming from this place that’s reminiscent of delayed incubation that you see in raptor nests, maybe try not to put a hole through the planet while you’re there and we’re working on repairing the sky, okay?’

Anyways, my AO3 is mostly Gundam stuff because I haven’t posted anything in ages. I don’t have much up and I write for niche fandoms, so my numbers are probably a little laughable. But that’s okay! Fic I spent the most time on: Okay, this one’s not on AO3, but @amatterofdestiny. This one is taking so much time and research even when I am working on it! Door of Night (the time travel elf WIP) is getting close, though.

Fic I spent the least time on: Probably one of the song drabbles (write for the length of one song). I basically stream of consciousness those, and many have only minor editing. For the AO3 fics, that’d be one of the ficlets in  Drabbles for the Musically-Inspired.

Longest fic: On AO3 currently,  Setsuna That Was and Saji That Will Be  (7588 words). A Matter of Destiny and the Silm longfics will surpass it, someday, but for now, them’s the numbers.

Favourite fic I wrote: Setsuna That Was and Saji That Will Be. It’s basically a 5+1 fic, but with past lives, telepathic aliens, and literal Best Friends Forever. I got to research ancient cultures and think about Setsuna and Saji’s sex life, which is really all a history buff/ SetsuSaji fan really wants.

Fic you want to rewrite/expand on: If I was going to rewrite any fic, I’d probably rewrite my first Slayers fic, but that’s not on AO3 (and a big ‘fuck you’ to that reviewer who thinks Lina Inverse wouldn’t blow up her friends for the sake of comedy, it’s been 15 years and I still think you’re an asshat, did we even watch the same show? I’d keep that scene just to spite you). ANYways, there’s a fic from Gundam00week where I did a sort of passage from a 00/Zestiria crossover. I could definitely expand on that.

Share a bit of a WIP or a story idea you’re planning on: I posted recently about my WIPs, but my major focus fic-wise is The Door of Night is Breaking (Door of Night), which is the time-traveling Celebrimbor and Finduilas I sometimes post snippets of. In fact, here’s a snippet from the prologue (Content/Trigger Warning for implied domestic tension, gore, and Sauron-style elf-banners):

That night was only better than usual because his father and mother weren’t speaking to each other. Celebrimbor went to bed without hearing them say a single word directly to the other. He curled up on his side, forgoing an Elvish reverie for the hopefully dreamless sleep of mortals.

It didn’t work.

He dreamed he was walking in the abandoned streets of ruined Ost-in-Edhil, wearing nothing but a simple linen robe. Rubble cut his feet and he left blood-stained prints as he walked. The air looked jagged, a fog of crackled glaze.

At each intersection, there was a banner made from a corpse.

First came Haru Finwë. Then his mother’s brother who died at Alqualonde. Then Haru Fëanor, and it was as if he had opened the floodgates. Ost-in-Edhil turned into a twisting, corpse-lined maze. As he approached his manor near the workshops, he could see Gil-Galad, or at least someone wearing Gil’s armor.

‘Gil-Galad is a fiction,’ he thought but he remained silent. The location of the Three was not the only secret he took to Mandos with him.

it depends on what you mean by crossover. i don’t write full fusions where characters from one fandom meet characters from another, but i do like writing alternate universe fics with existing media. idk if it counts as crazy, but yakekomu is a hashimada crossover with the punisher

nah. i’ve gotten a bit of unsolicited concrit, but no actual hate

9. Do you write smut?

i do asdfghjkl. i feel like you can do a lot of introspection/character studies through that lens. it’s a good medium for exploring emotional vulnerability and intimacy, you know?

not that i know of

i have!! and you know my wishes are sincere and carbon were both translated into russian. it means the world to me that people liked them enough to do that :')

yes, one*. i co-wrote a little fic with a friend, and i enjoyed doing it. it's for the best that i don't collaborate though because i frequently delete entire fics or large amounts of them so i can start fresh, which would be awful if i were sharing with someone

there's a sword dancer-inspired hashimada fic that i’m desperate to finish because it's a perfect fit. perfect

uhhhhhhhh i have very niche interests, so i think bring some fresh content?

typos. i also get bored pretty fast, so i think i tend to skip sections other people would enjoy, too. i also tend to get bored and bounce around, so i frequently forget where i was going with things

17. What are your thoughts of writing dialogue in other languages?

hmmm i’m not totally sure what this means? i'm only fluent in english (and that's debatable sometimes...), but if i spoke another language, i think i'd be fine writing in it. if this is asking what i think about translating phrases for things like fighting moves, it depends. for jjik, i use “jujutsu sorcerer” rather than jujutsu-shi, but i tend to write “kage bunshin” instead of “shadow clone” and “technique” instead of “no jutsu”

or if this is asking what i think about other people writing in languages that aren't english, i'm all for it! i'll try reading them if they're tagged with things i like. google translate and i will make an attempt

I don’t have any boundaries when it comes to shipping. give me fluff, give me angst, give me those special moments that make you go “Awe that’s cute af!” 

HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE?:

Well, obviously any muse under 13 with some that’s like 30. That’s just messed lol.

Anything past 12 years I guess. Any more than that and it’s a little weird, just a little.

ARE YOU SELECTIVE WHEN SHIPPING?:

Moderately yeah, but it's not because I don’t wanna ship. I’ll tell you right now I’m 100% Shipping trash. lol 

It’s just because Vergil is stubborn and is very independent and can just be hard to get to open up to anyone because he prioritizes his goals before anything and refuses to let himself get attached because he has the risk of losing them which tends to set him back. It’s not impossible, shipping is always possible, it just takes a bit for Vergil to open up to anyone.

HOW FAR DO STEAMY MOMENTS HAVE TO GO BEFORE THEY ARE CONSIDERED NSFW?:

Well, I do write smut, but only when it legit comes down to the moment. I guess as soon as a make-out session gets extra EXTRA physical involving the tugging of clothes then yeah it’s immediately going into a read more. Anything involving touching certain areas through the clothes, immediate read more. I don’t always write smut tho, it really depends if I feel like it or not. But when it comes to smut, it’s not really a must or a necessity, If someone is more comfy with a fade-to-black then that’s totally fine. But if both parties are up for it, then sure by all means,  let’s get steamy. Of course, the other mun needs to be at least 16+ to 17 (Since 16 is the legal age of consent in Canada) But below that, Fade-To-Blacks only.

If the characters are just hands down super cute, chances are, I’ll be 110% on board and crazy for it. So it all depends on the chemistry and interactions. If I really like it, then hell yeah lets nerd over it together. Overall, I love me some ships!

Unfortunately, I don’t have a ship for Vergil within the DMC fandom currently ongoing. It’s a bit sad but, it’s just how it is atm. But I have one crossover ship I’m loving a lot.

Because VergilxMizore is my jam rn. I even have a fanfic series based on it because I love it that much. It’s so awesome!

But I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want a DMC ship with Vergil. Hopefully, that can happen at some point. So if any lucky DMC girl wants to ship with Vergil then come at me! I’ll be here screaming lol

FINALLY, HOW DOES ONE SHIP WITH YOU?:

Pretty simple really. Flirt with Vergil, Tease Vergil, pester him with hints. Create good chemistry and make him head over heels! Send in shippy memes, fluffy memes. Don’t hold back because Vergil is SUPER stubborn.
