SORRY MY BRAINROT IS INTENSE, to try to resolve this im going to write a little something! it's obvious dream (i might just use utmv names for the sake of my terrible memory) is the founder and top dog at justice reigns, i know ink is his mercenary and is the only one to take direct orders from him, but where does that place finch? is he above ink at 2nd or under ink at 3rd? if you have the time, could you maybe explain briefly what they think of eachother? moreso ink & finch and dream & ink for the sake of my plot, they'll be interacting and i want it to be as accurate as possible

ok so, first off, ink isn't the only one to take direct orders from dream, if I said that in the past it may have been a mistake. (who the heck is getting orders from dream if only ink is taking orders from him hahaha) ink, for the most part, only takes direct orders from dream, not is the only one who does. for his status, ink is not part of the hierarchy in JR; he doesn't have the authority to give anyone orders. if dream tells ink to take orders from the justice division, he has to take orders from the justice division, but the justice division doesn't have power over ink by default. if JR has a hard or specific mission, they might send ink. (I feel like it would make sense for there to be more JR mercenaries than just ink. but it's a little late to contemplate changes to the lore)

finch is an officer of the justice division, but I don't know what exactly his status is supposed to be. I've said he's a captain before, but I feel like it only makes sense if he's 31, aka his fatal flaws age. so, take with that what you will. he could be young at 24 and be far ahead for his age but not in a position of full authority (think: a senior who gets put in charge of a smaller group, not the guy who goes to meetings) or he could be 31 and be a captain. that aside, I imagine that finch and ink don't really talk on a casual basis. their impressions of each other are probably limited to "that guy again," while passing each other in the hallway and likely some awkward small talk. they probably have worked together a few times and finch probably thinks that ink is too irresponsible and doesn't fully understand why ink works such an important job. (because he gets it done, somehow) they're kind of polar opposites. which does leave some room for an interesting dynamic if you think it's interesting.

as for whatever ink and dream have going on, they're kind of friends even though they're technically not supposed to be. in ds there is a tangible barrier of authority and power that would be difficult to overcome. not impossible, but difficult. they do still kind of have that "you're just my boss" relationship in fatal flaws which creates a little distance, but I think they could become friends more easily there because arthur isn't immortal and hasn't used any godlike power to gain a following.

Generally don’t love it when people go ‘no actually they’re the exact opposite with no room for a middle ground’ in response to bad fanon cos it tends to be reductive and reactive in a way that doesn't hold true to the character any more than the original bad fanon did. That being said I do wholeheartedly believe cass gives the worst advice out of any of the bats. Like actively has-been-banned-from-giving-advice bad. Steph was worried about her grades once and Cass told her to kidnap her professor so he couldn't score the final. Any Cass-offered solution falls under the general categories of either a) punch it or b) ignore it.

(i don’t personally get dysphoria around this, since fashion and style doesn’t really matter to me)

something that’s worked for me is getting kinda baggy women's jeans (women’s because they fit over my hips) and cuffing the bottom. it makes the leg look straight. i put on a hoodie over it and it covers the hips.

this might not work for all body types but it works for me, so it can’t hurt to suggest.

The thing about Forever and Bad is that they don't know how to deescalate, and they start at 100 straight from 0 every time with each other. They will spend hours arguing about semantics that don't matter. They will go to the extreme ends of pranks (which as fun as the audio remixes were, spending hours trying to find the source was literal hell genuine psychological torment). They will go for the throat just to antagonize the other.

So no, I don't think Forever knows a thing about Dapper or the other eggs whereabouts. He just knows better about the way Bad operates, the way he lies and deflects. He's familiar with his crafty words and how he turns a conversation on its head. He knows that what Bad is being accused of is entirely likely, that he is not who he usually is when the eggs are around. And he knows that Dapper, beyond a shadow of a doubt, is who Bad cares for most of all.

This isn't something he can argue hours about, to chip away little by little like he usually does. For both the safety of the worker, because the longer they're locked up surely the worse off they'll be - and for the safety of Bad, who if he wasn't under extreme watch by the Federation, he certainly is now, after Tubbo very loudly accused him in his Federation office.

He goes for the throat, immediately playing a trump card that he knows Bad won't just brush off or ignore, because as much as Bad can be unpredictable, Forever knows that Bad cares about the eggs as much as he does. As questionable as his morals are, as slippery as he can be to pin down, Bad has always placed the eggs as the highest priority - and he needs Bad to have no choice but to be honest, or to knock him off guard enough that he'll give him something to work with.

Is it fair? Maybe not. But when has Bad ever played fair with him?

sorry I'm still reeling from reading the Natori cousin arc (up to chp 115 bc that's far as I can find the scans).

They really hit us with:

Natori explicitly trusting Natsume with knocking him out of yokai-magic induced hallucinations of his traumatic childhood memories.

Hiiragi literally saying that could only work with someone Natori trusts UNCONDITIONALLY and kinda implying natsume is the only person that applies to in natori's life........ o k a y!!! catch me sobbing!!

After natsume knocks natori out of it natori is like: "sorry for being so weak and a loser lmfao I'll walk u out so u can get back to ur day" and natsume says "Nice Try But I'm Helping You Idiot."

a Yokai-illusion version of Natori (built from the yokai seeing into Natori's soul) literally tells natsume how he was lonely and scared and ostracized as a kid and desperately wanted specifically a younger relative who could see the same shit he sees. and when REAL natori pops up and dissolves the illusion and is like haha don't listen to that thing lol and natsume is like isn't it built from your soul tho and natori doesn't rlly argue against it that hard........................ okay.

Natori blaming himself for mitsuru not being able to exist + no younger relatives getting born in general bc it was so feared that they could get the sight like natori like GOD the self hatred is so thick here fucking hell.

Also not super relevant but important to me specifically Nyanko offhandedly saying "good grief you and this kid" but like. to natsume. so referring to natori as a kid which he normally only does with natsume. could be specific translation or me misinterpreting it but um. Nyanko softening up to natori.

And there's a scene within like. a single page. where nyanko transfers from natsume's shoulder to natori's head to natori's arms which shouldn't be as funny and sweet to me as it is but it is.

(tho should be noted whenever I get back into natsuyuu, I usually do reread/rewatch it in order. so I don't remember if nyanko softening up to natori happened a while ago or whatever lol)

and ofc we cannot forget THE REASON NATORI TOOK ON THE JOB IN THE FIRST PLACE WAS MOSTLY FOR A CHANCE (just a possibility!!!) TO HELP NATSUME W/ THE BOOK OF FRIENDS..... and was willing to suffer thru uncomfortable childhood memories about it. Bye I'm actually going to throw up.
