okay want to preface this that the new ancient breed I genuinely like so much more than the other recently released ones (the sandshark guys + the moth alien ones, edit: completely forgot about grass snakes bc they were so mid to me). The design feels very cohesive/strong to me AND weird in a way we haven't super had yet with the headshape (BALD!!!) + limbshape (those huge+few claws <3). like this isn't just Tundra2 but bigger or coatl2 but it's more snake-y.

HOWEVER............ they literally coulda been moderns. like pllllsssssss no more ancients with the 2-wing 4-leg format bc I'm just gonna look at them and wish they are moderns so I could dress them. Like design coulda been vastly improved IMO if they got isopoded-up and just slapped 4 more legs on that thing, imagine legs on the tail section that woulda be great. think they also coulda made it fatter bc we haven't got a fat breed in so damn long but that's also my bias.

SO, some notes: this was an experimental piece done for https://fokron.deviantart.com/ of their character Cecil. What made it experimental is that I tried coloring/ touching up a white 3D model in paint tool sai. I'd say the final result is interesting but not something I'd use regularly. It's too muddy, and not being able to change the original 3D model when in sai made it difficult to work with. Still, a fun project! Thanks again to Fokron for letting me use their character! I've seen so many fic concepts of "paparazzi finds out Natori is hanging out with this random 15 y/o ARE THEY SECRETLY RELATED??" as a plot point and honestly how has smth similar not happened in canon yet

Any newer tommyinnit or wilbur soot enjoyers PLEASE watch the tommy wilbur speedrun vod oh my god. It’s “Tommy Makes Minecraft 1000x Funnier as WIFE HAVER” on tommy’s vod channel, but this upload also cuts the first bit of it that’s rlly funny. Just search tommy wilbur speedrunning or smthing to find the whole thing. It’s still so fucking good, the chaos.

We have:

Tommy tricking wilbur into hanging out with him by texting wilbur his mom’s fucking dying. and wilbur fully believing him and freaking out on call, and then not realizing he’s live for 6 entire minutes 

Wilbur staying anyway.

Tommy has upped his streaming persona to 1000% and wilbur can barely even talk to him like a normal person because he keeps screaming and saying random bullshit and interupting wilbur mid-word.

Wilbur is so fucking exasperated but is still laughing and losing it at every other word out of tommy’s mouth. You can hear him hitting his desk in the background with laughter.

Several times wilbur asks tommy why tommy wanted HIM here, when tommy has actual friends who are into speedrunning, while wilbur doesn’t give a shit about it. and I don’t remember if tommy actually gives him an answer LOL.

This is before them calling eachother brothers stopped being a bit, so they do that.

Tommy is So Unhinged the entire vod, more than usual, and that’s saying something.

wtf went on during that 1hr and a half in the car. Natori Natsume and Nyanko in a car for 1hr and a half.

Did Natori blab Natsume's ear off about his actor shenanigans bullshit and hype up his movies? Did Nyanko bully/backseat drive natori? Natsume sitting in annoyed silence as nyanko and natori argue for 10 minutes straight. Natori asks natsume what he thought of his latest movies and natsume just tears them apart.

or they could just be normal and natsume tell natori what's been up with him and the fujiwara's and his friends and whatnot but I'm just. them in a car for 1hr and a half is killing me for some reason.

sorry I'm still reeling from reading the Natori cousin arc (up to chp 115 bc that's far as I can find the scans).

They really hit us with:

Natori explicitly trusting Natsume with knocking him out of yokai-magic induced hallucinations of his traumatic childhood memories.

Hiiragi literally saying that could only work with someone Natori trusts UNCONDITIONALLY and kinda implying natsume is the only person that applies to in natori's life........ o k a y!!! catch me sobbing!!

After natsume knocks natori out of it natori is like: "sorry for being so weak and a loser lmfao I'll walk u out so u can get back to ur day" and natsume says "Nice Try But I'm Helping You Idiot."

a Yokai-illusion version of Natori (built from the yokai seeing into Natori's soul) literally tells natsume how he was lonely and scared and ostracized as a kid and desperately wanted specifically a younger relative who could see the same shit he sees. and when REAL natori pops up and dissolves the illusion and is like haha don't listen to that thing lol and natsume is like isn't it built from your soul tho and natori doesn't rlly argue against it that hard........................ okay.

Natori blaming himself for mitsuru not being able to exist + no younger relatives getting born in general bc it was so feared that they could get the sight like natori like GOD the self hatred is so thick here fucking hell.

and let's go back to natori desperately wanting a younger relative who also had the sight so he wasn't alone. Natsume. literally natsume. his relationship to natsume. I'm biased bc I headcanon their relationship as sibling-like but I feel there's a lot in canon to back it up and POINTS POINTS POINTS LIKE THIS RIGHT HERE...

Also not super relevant but important to me specifically Nyanko offhandedly saying "good grief you and this kid" but like. to natsume. so referring to natori as a kid which he normally only does with natsume. could be specific translation or me misinterpreting it but um. Nyanko softening up to natori.

And there's a scene within like. a single page. where nyanko transfers from natsume's shoulder to natori's head to natori's arms which shouldn't be as funny and sweet to me as it is but it is.

(tho should be noted whenever I get back into natsuyuu, I usually do reread/rewatch it in order. so I don't remember if nyanko softening up to natori happened a while ago or whatever lol)

and ofc we cannot forget THE REASON NATORI TOOK ON THE JOB IN THE FIRST PLACE WAS MOSTLY FOR A CHANCE (just a possibility!!!) TO HELP NATSUME W/ THE BOOK OF FRIENDS..... and was willing to suffer thru uncomfortable childhood memories about it. Bye I'm actually going to throw up.
