mh. getting rather tired of the cis male presentation of crowley and aziraphale.

where is everything else? top surgery scars because they look cool and crowley loves being trans, t-dick, tits, all kinds of different combinations and pronouns and identifiers?? where are ineffable wives and with dicks and tits?? where's the lack of nipples and genitals because sometimes that's also someone's transition goal, people can and do look like that.

I think a natural consequence of being chronically ill/immunocompromised is becoming more…germ opposed. (Im not gonna say hypochondriac but I mean yeah, I guess that).

Anyways I hate how it forces me to constantly be on my toes about getting sick and how in turn…I get perceived/treated like I’m overreacting and ruining things (example; visiting family rn and I can hear my father in law hacking up a lung and now I’m sitting here like..fuuuuck I don’t wanna leave the room! I don’t wanna get sick! I just started a new med, I’m in as little pain as I have been in nearly two months and I’ve worked so hard to get here and i don’t want to get sick)

But my FIL is also the type of guy who will be weird about me feeling this way (uncomfortable/anxious). Plus there is supposed to be a gathering at the house tonight where he has invited a friend who he’s proclaimed multiple times to be anti-vax 🙃

Ken Cosgrove was pushed to the edge in his accounts job (lost one of his eyes over keeping an annoying ass client) and got fired because new ownership because he wounded the ego of one of the bigwigs. His wife is not worried, looking on the bright side, saying that this job was killing him and that she's happy to see him free. Saying doing a miserable job ruined her father and the great news is the family is so rich Ken will never have to work a day in his life. She says he should write fiction full time, the thing he's genuinely very good at and she genuinely believes he can do! She's excited to see him happy! Wants to bankroll this future!

But Ken goes no, my dear wife... I'm dedicating my life to pettiness :)

In terms of "No one would think this other than me," this is probably a toss-up between "Genuinely completely for real, River from DW has Pure-O OCD," and "If Himeno CSM were not a devil hunter and could have a free choice of career, she would have been a pop musician."

In terms of, "No one would think this other than me and it has absolutely no basis in canon I can point to," Brienne has schizophrenia.

✨️ Out of the comments you’ve received on your fics, what are two or three of your favorites?

There was this one, that I got on my 2023 Christmas fic, that honestly made me cry (positive): "Oh my goodness. This feels so beautifully real and so them. I cannot describe the impact this has had on me. This is definitely one of those short fics I will be coming back to from time to time (or every christmas)."

As well as a lovely, thorough analysis comment from a dear friend of mine on the same fic (will not post the whole comment because it would make this post very long.)

There was also, "C'MON IT'S MIDNIGHT I CAN'T LAUGH" about one of the jokes in an old Adlock fic of mine (sidebar I really need to go back to writing them), followed by "smiling giggling kicking my feet."

One of the most impactful, though, is a comment I got on my Fleming: The Man Who Would Be Bond fic. I, again, won't post the whole thing for brevity's sake, but, essentially, it was about how this person was very moved by my understanding of Ann's character and my ability to articulate all of her conflicting emotions. And that, above all else, is what I strive for when I write. This comment also made me cry (positive).

And, of course, it is always an honor to receive a comment of any kind from The Bestie, nightingalesighs.

🚀 Do you like to outline your fic first or create as you go?

It depends on the fic. If it's something shorter, I'll usually create as I go. But if it's a multichapter fic, I do at least like to have some idea of where I'm headed. Even if I don't Specifically Make An Outline, there is one floating around in my head. It's probably more accurate to say that I'll write various passages of dialogue (or internal monologue) that correspond to important moments and then work to connect those passages together.
