Random ask, can we get the aftermath of the soup scene? Like, what would Nagito’s reaction be to finding out he humped his S/O’s thigh? Lmao. You don’t have to do this
please he would be devastated (i wrote a blurb this probably sucks idk i'm tired) word count: 281
Warnings: GN!Reader, extremely suggestive themes, use of pet names (darling, honey) (art creds: Zakiko)
Tumblr media
"Please! Forgive me, my darling... How truly disgusting of me...to do something so despicable, and in your presence nonetheless! I understand if you never want to see my wretched, perverted face again..." Tears ran down Komaeda's face, but despite his words he clung to you with a vice grip.
Komaeda had always been like this, ever since you affirmed with him you didn't mind his touch. Even when he was convinced you hated him, he couldn't stop himself from seeking your comfort. The only way he would stop is if you told him to.
You didn't mind so much though, you wanted to be a pillar for him when he had his breakdowns. Even if they were about how much you must "hate" him.
You stroked his hair with one hand, and brought up the other to caress his cheek. Petting Komaeda was usually effective in calming him down.
"What do you mean, honey? I'll always stay with you, okay? It's absolutely not your fault what happened." You spoke softly, trying to get your words to sink in as Komaeda stared at you with teary eyes.
"And besides..." You leaned in to kiss his cheek. "I love your beautiful face, why wouldn't I want to see it?"
Komaeda sniffed, and you felt a stab of sympathy as fresh tears ran down his cheeks.
"Y...You're beautiful." He murmured, laying his head on your shoulder.
You tugged gently at the ends of his hair, happy that he at least wasn't self-deprecating anymore.
"We match then, huh?" You smiled, wrapping your arms around him.
Komaeda's lip quivered, and he hugged you. "I love you..."
"I love you too," You squeezed him, "Always."

Nagito, kokichi, kiibo, fuyuhiko, rantaro, with an s/o who comes across as very stoic (like kirigiri) but when it comes to physical affection gets really red in the face? Even with friends they just get embarrassed and just aren’t used to it.
Nagito doesn’t mind if you get a bit red! He of course always asks before he can put his filthy hands on you, but he always loves seeing how flustered you get! He comes to the conclusion rather quickly you’re like that with everyone, and that he’s nothing special. Still makes him super happy though. He wonders if you grew up with not getting affection, maybe that’s why you get so embarrassed!
Kokichi will definitely tease you for this, “D’aww you’re blushing! How adorable!!” and he will tease you for it everytime. He does get a little jealous though that you blush when others hug you as well, but he’s good at hiding it! He just thinks it’s so funny how somebody like you can get so embarrassed by stuff like that.
Kiibo is similar, he gets very flustered by physical affection since he does not receive it often. This includes with anyone else, so he doesn’t judge you for being the same way. He usually asks before he can be affectionate with you, and you’re both absolute blushy messes by the end of it.
Fuyuhiko is pretty similar, he gets embarrassed by souda and peko smothering him, and even when hiyoko teasingly pinches his cheeks. He gets it and doesn’t care much? He secretly thinks it’s cute though, since it’s rare to see you give away how you really feel. He always takes it in and stares for a bit.
Rantaro is a smart guy, but even he can almost never be able to read you. So he just really loves it whenever you blush, it’s the one time he knows what you’re feeling and sees you being vulnerable. He thinks it’s really cute how anyone could simply grab your hand or throw an arm around your shoulder and you’re a complete mess. For him, it’s a nice change of pace.

Komaeda's moving castle
Tumblr media
Word count: 10.0k
Summary: "I finally found you, dove."
Tumblr media
The clouds of Kingsbury flutter through the air, spinning and weaving the blue sky. The greens of the hill sparkle under the sun. A shepherd herds their sheep, waving at the moving machinery. A young male in the window waves back with a smile. The shepherd swoons as a result. This is how the outskirts of Kingsbury are, and it's how they will remain. The peaceful pasture, animals roaming, and the endless skyline.
The loud whistle of the morning train pulls you from bed. It's another work day. The mess of fabric sits on the table, and you grab a basket to head downstairs. The other women are in their respective rooms, threading away at the cloth. If you're not mistaken, the wizard would be picking up his cloak today. You have to make sure that everything is in place. It wouldn't be good to give a wizard a cloak that isn't the best quality. The madame said that, not you.
The bell at the door jingles as you step into the shop.
"Good morning Y/n, love!" The other maiden looks up from making last-minute adjustments to you.
"Good morning," You smile back at the girl. "How has work been?"
"Slow, but it's progressing," She hums. "Will you be closing again?"
"Yes," You smile. "What time is the wizard coming in?"
"Y/n, darling!!" Shirogane rushes over, pens in her hair and glasses around her neck. "Could you serve the customer? He's here, and we need to hurry up to finish adjustments. His castle is moving this week."
"W-Wait, Komaeda? I thought it was a wizard from the royal academy!" You panic as she pushes you. "He ate Victoria's heart last week, no?"
"He is!" She mumbles. "Top of his class. Be careful, I heard he likes pretty people and hates the ugly."
"What?!" You're promptly pushed to the front of the shop, and you sigh. You pat down the excess strands from your legs and glance at the wizard. "Sorry for the wait. Shirogane-san needed to make a couple of last minute adjustments."
"I don't mind," He smiles, charmingly so.
You understand why Victoria would fall for him. He is pretty. With stunning white lashes and charismatic pale eyes, he's surely a looker. His auburn hair glows almost angelically under the setting sun, and the rings on his fingers must feel cool under the heat of the July sun. The pendant around his neck is pretty too. The silver suits him. You wonder who he holds dear to his chest despite playing so many people. Maybe he didn't hold anyone dear. Who knows.
"Do you work here?" He glances at you. "Oh, no you don't need to worry for trash like me-"
"Yes," You hum, handing him a cup of tea. "I work here. You're Komaeda, the wizard with the moving castle."
"Yes," He smiles. "You're gorgeous, by the way. What's your name?"
You smile at him. "A fae?"
"No," He smiles. "There is no way. I am but a magician."
"Y/n," You hum, hearing the other girl rush to the front with the jacket.
"It's finished," She smiles. "Sorry for the wait, Komaeda-san."
"No worries," He smiles. "May I try it on?"
The girl hands it to you, and you help Komaeda into the jacket. A mirror is pulled in front of him, and he spins, checking how it fits him. He looks good in it. As much as you don't want to fall for him, his face and charm make it hard enough.
Komaeda notices you glancing at him, and he winks at you. "Like the view?"
"Kind of," You pause. "I like the coat better, though."
Komaeda pouts. "You don't like me?"
"We literally just met," You deadpan. Grabbing him by the shoulders, you spin Komaeda in the mirror, checking for any frayed edges or issues. "I have no need to fall in love with a stranger."
"Well, I do," Komaeda smiles. "So, how about dinner?"
You hold back the urge to punch this man to next week. "My apologies. I have work."
Komaeda watches you head back.
"Hey... do you have her house number?"
"That's creepy."
The setting sun of Kingsbury is hot. It's red with melancholy, orange with the fires of hell. Kingsbury is just another town, but when the sun sets at night, the sky opens its gates to let the hail or bombs destroy it. War is inevitable just as the human race was beyond saving. It's something you realize early on when serving customers. Some people care more for their own than for the safety and health of others.
"I'm going off for the night!" Shirogane calls from the door. "Be sure to lock up!"
"Got it!" You call back.
If the setting sun was red with melancholy, then the night of Kingsbury was terrifying. Creatures and critters are scattered at every corner around magicians. The guards, drunk beyond comprehension, ran through the alleyways to find a night. If you were less attractive, perhaps you'd be let off. You're not, unfortunately. You really pray you could somehow get out of this situation.
"A pretty deer!" One guard slurs.
"A lovely doe-eyed darling!" The other agrees.
You purse your lips. "Kind gentlemen, may I pass?"
"How about we take you for a drink?" One tries sliding his arms down your shoulder, and you brush it off.
"No thank you." You smile forcibly. "May I pass?"
"This one bites!"
"I'd say they're more like a cat!!"
You sigh, tilting your head to the side, getting ready to punch one of them.
"Ah, I finally found you, dove," A voice emerges from behind you, and you recognize the sleeve of the jacket. "What are you doing, taking such a creepy alleyway at night?"
"I got lost," You smile. "It's also a quicker way home."
"How about the two of you," Komaeda eyes them, snapping his fingers. "Do your job to actually protect the people?"
The two guards march off behind the two of you, and Komaeda hums. "My apologies, but you're going to have to continue walking with me. You see, dove, I'm being followed."
You follow along, the blotches of darkness slipping out behind him. They come in the form of gentlemen, little hats to cover their heads. You wonder if that was the work of the witch. There had been a rumor that they were exes.
The creatures cage in the two of you from every direction, and Komaeda smiles calmly as you start growing restless.
"Ready?" Komaeda wraps an arm around your waist, and he lifts the two of you into the air. The streets are empty as he continues walking in the air. You lift your legs, scared to fall.
"Let your feet down and continue walking as normal," Komaeda smiles reassuringly, and you listen. The streets are empty at night other than the oil lamps. You take the chance to stare out at the horizon. It's dark from the clouds of smog, yet the stars still shine brightly over your head. It's pretty. The stars are pretty.
Komaeda notices the way you aren't paying attention to him, and he pauses to stare up, making sure the two of you don't fall. The view renders him breathless. The stars are scattered across the sky, the moon shining seemingly brighter. Komaeda exhales, admiring the moon in all her beauty. She's gorgeous; he's breathless from her beauty. The moon looked so peaceful, up in the air, protecting the town from the sky ripping open.
You glance at Komaeda pause in his steps, and you stare down. It's high up in the air.
"My apologies," Komaeda smiles at you, tilting your head with his hand. "Don't look down, dove. Will a dance make you feel better?"
"A dance?"
Komaeda's arm around your waist spins you, his hand holding yours. Komaeda guides you in the sky, swaying you left and right, spinning you to where you needed to be. You feel like the lead in a fairytale dancing with their prince charming. Yet, this prince charming was a wanted man of the government, and you were but a simple tailor who worked night shifts.
The stars sparkle under your command, twinkling and chiming at each step of yours in the air. Spinning you with a gentle smile, Komaeda hums at each ring of the stars. The sky would part for you, covering you in a star's glow, anything to keep you alive. The moon adores you, and so do the stars. He wants to stay in town longer. Just two days.
With a final spin, Komaeda lands you on your balcony.
"It was lovely dancing with you, my dove," He presses a kiss to the back of your hand with a bow. His cheeks are warm with pink, and his heart flutters as he catches your embarrassment.
"Thank you for walking me home, kind one," You imitate his bow, and he smiles.
"Shall I see you around?"
"We shall see."
The clouds cover the moon as you part from him, and Komaeda's heart races.
Ah.
The second morning rises, and the second evening falls. You get ready to close down the store when a young woman walks in.
"Darling!" She wraps her arms around you. "You're the worker here, right? I ordered a coat for my boyfriend a couple of weeks ago, but I was told he already came to pick it up. Do you have any idea where he is?"
"Who was the order placed for?" You pry yourself from her arms.
"Komaeda," She smiles, her grin broadening. "Ah, so you're the chick who caught his eye and undid all of the stupid spells I cast on him."
She pinches your chin between her pointer and thumb, eyeing you in disdain. "Well, you certainly aren't a sight to behold. I wonder how something as plain as you could cause someone like him such hope. Well, not that I care."
Her hand reaches through your face, and you feel your muscles lax and sag as she does. You yelp, falling to your knees as they give out under you. You claw at your face as her laughter rings, and you watch her step out of the shop, two of her dark blobs rushing after her. Flashing you a menacingly gorgeous smirk, she laughs. "May despair ring throughout all of your life!"
You sit there on the floor, heart pounding and tears falling. You don't know what this feeling is, but you know what it is. You've aged. She's aged your dazzling face all because of some stupid man!! You get up, staring at yourself in the mirror. You look old. You look old.
You want to cry.
Your knees are weak, and you have to support yourself as you get up from the floor. The old hag that stares at you in the mirror makes your stomach curl. You hate it. You despise it.
You dust off the apron and step out of the store, locking up to prevent the burglars.
Walking as an elder all alone is much safer than walking as a young one. The guards don't look twice even as you pass them. Your steps have grown slower, and your lungs squeeze at each step uphill. You want to scream or cry. You prayed that somehow, you'd be able to miraculously reach the castle before you die of exhaustion. You really ought to treat your grandparents better after this.
Your bed is so much comfier when it's night.
Yet, you rise before the first train. You wonder if your parents woke up this early. Well, it's not like you can stay here. Just from looks alone, you're already off the marriage market. All because of a man? How strange.
You wait for the others to file out of the house before you grab a bit of food and head out to the hills.
The chiming and clanging of Komaeda's castle ring in the distance, and you sigh. "I can hear it... hah, but I can't see it."
You sit at the base of a scarecrow, the moon illuminating your skin. The age spots scattered across your skin and arm cause you to hold your breath. The midnight mist makes it hard to see where the castle is exactly, but you don't really care. It can't kill you. Well, even if it could, you're already old anyway.
You get up again, getting ready to continue.
The wind blows behind you, and your eyes widen in fear as the scarecrow starts hopping.
"What in god's name-"
The scarecrow hops down the lane, and you watch it spin twice. You assume it wants you to follow it.
It has a weird build. He looks like... you're not sure. He resembles a gentleman more than a scarecrow, but you don't complain. He seems to be leading you to the castle... or leading you at least somewhere.
The fog clears, and the wood and metal emerge. The scarecrow hops twice under the door to the castle, and you nod at it the best you can. The door to the machinery rushes, and a puff of smoke greets you. Bloody hell. You struggle to get on the moving castle, the house refusing to slow for you. These old bones of yours, ugh.
When you finally step onto the platform - not really step, the house had forcibly hooked you onto it. Your cloak flies off from the wind.
"My cloak!"
You watch as the scarecrow hops after it, using its arm to hook the cloak onto it, and it bounces back to you.
"Thank you," You smile. "You're very kind, scarecrow!"
You turn to face the door, pushing it open. A short staircase leads you to the first floor, the sound of the fire crackling. You pause to take in the room. Straight across from you is a wooden chair in front of a fire, and a little bit behind that is a purple divan. To your right is a wooden table, messy yet organized, with all sorts of bottles and spellbooks. The corners are filled with cobwebs, the spiders settling down. It's... a mess. To say the least.
You sit yourself on the wooden chair, exhaling and holding your hands out to the fire.
It's warm.
Though, the fire could use a little more wood.
You sit back down after tossing two logs of wood into the fire.
Oh... it's so cozy...
Your eyes threaten to close on you. The crackling and movement of the house become familiar to your body. You're worn out from the walking.
"Wow, that is one nasty curse you got there, upupupu!" A voice speaks up. "It won't be easy to break."
"The fire talked???"
"And you can't even talk about it."
"...Am I going delusional?" You push the chair back slightly.
"No!! Upupu, I'm Monokuma! I'm a fire demon," It cackles.
"Why are you shaped like a bear?" You pause. "My apologies. That's not the question. Can you help me break the spell? Since you're a demon and all."
"Easy! If you break the spell that chains me to this place, I'll break yours in exchange." He crackles.
"In other words, bargain with a demon," You chuckle; you barely recognize your own laugh. "You sure you can keep that promise?"
"Demons don't make promises."
"I suggest you look elsewhere." You hum, leaning back into the chair.
"But I'm exploited here!!! I'm chained here by Komaeda who works me to death!!!" The fire whines. "I'm the one who keeps this castle moving!"
"My, you have it rough," You draw out.
"If you figure out the secret contract, the spell will break!" He exclaims. "If you do that, I'll break your spell too!"
"I see, a bargain...huh...." Aaand you've dozed off.
In the early hour of the morning, you're woken up by a series of knocks on the door. You crane your neck, at least twelve of your bones cracking. Footsteps dance down the stairs as you do, and a young child with a mask stops next to you.
"Who let them in?"
"Porthaven!" Monokuma calls.
"I wonder when she got in." The boy reaches for a cloak on the table and pulls it over his face, hopping down the stairs.
"Why, mayor, sir," The boy's voice is two octaves deeper than before, and the mayor answers.
You take the chance to look around the room now that it's day. It's still the same mess as yesterday.
"Porthaven again!" Monokuma yells, and you slide him two new logs. You step around the first floor, peering over the fence as the boy opens the door again.
"State your purpose."
"Mama sent me," A young girl beams.
You stare out the window, glancing at the birds and seaside. A magical door? Perhaps.
The young girl giggles. "Are you a witch?"
You stare at her, laughter rumbling. It wouldn't hurt to entertain a child.
"Yes, darling. I am the scariest witch in all the land harhar," You smile as she giggles and runs off with her order.
"Stop lying," The boy grumbles, reaching for the food. From a drawer, he pulls out bread and cheese. You follow to where he was, and you glance at the table.
"Ah, darling," You mumble. "There's bacon and eggs!"
"Monokuma only listens to Komaeda." He frowns. "Can't use him."
You hum, staring at the fire. "Nonsense."
"I'm a demon!!" The fire roars as you set the basket on the ledge, reaching for a pot.
"Now, now," You hum merrily at the fire engulfing the pan. "Either you cook the bacon and eggs like a good fire, or we have a quaint little discussion about our deal with Komaeda."
"I was wrong," Monokuma shrinks, and you hum as you place the bacon onto the pan. Monokuma tries burning it, and you glare at the fire.
"Darling, do we have a kettle? I want some tea." You call at the other magician, and he nods.
"I'll find one."
The door to the house rattles, and everyone turns to watch the master come home.
"Welcome home, master!" The boy greets, holding a kettle. "You have letters from the King to both Meshitsukai and Servant."
You pause. Isn't that just the same name in different languages??
"Ah, dear," Komaeda chuckles. "There's no need to call me master. I told you, trash like me doesn't deserve it."
"But master-"
You glance at the male, then turn your eyes back to the bacon, flipping it in the pan.
"My, Monokuma," Komaeda hums amusedly. "You're being so obedient."
"They bullied me!"
"I did no such thing!" You gasp offendedly.
"Regardless, that's not something easy to do, right?" Komaeda takes the pan and spoon from your hands. "Who are you, by the way?"
"Your neighborhood elderly," You hum. "Your new housekeeper."
"Please pass me six eggs and two more slices of bacon," Komaeda holds the pan close to you as you slide two more pieces of bacon onto it. "Who hired you?"
"I did," You pause. "Just to mop the floors and such. Your table is suprisingly organized despite the mess."
"Well, I am a little of a clean freak-"
"Please don't let master handle the fire! He can't cook," The boy yells from the table as Komaeda misses an egg.
"Jataro, dear, I most certainly can-"
"He can't!"
"Not risking it," You nudge him to the side, taking the stuff from his hands again. "Can you set up the table?"
"That, I can do," Komaeda chuckles as you crack another egg onto the pan, copying Komaeda and tossing Monokuma the eggshells. Komaeda helps you plate the food, and you glance at the utensils the boy holds up for you. The others are dirty, he tells you. You thought Komaeda was organized. Organized chaos, maybe. You're not sure.
"Let us partake of our morning bread," Komaeda hums.
"Daily bread!" Jataro echoes, biting into all of his food at once. "It's been a long time since I've had breakfast."
"Neglect of child," You mumble quietly, cutting into the eggs.
"Ah, by the way," Komaeda hums. "Dove, you seem to have something in your pocket. May I see it?"
You hum, reaching into your pocket. You hand it to Komaeda. The paper burns him at the touch, and the spell falls onto the table, carving itself into it. Komaeda sighs at the symbol.
"A curse?"
"Yes. Ancient Magic." Komaeda hums, reading the spell. "He who catches a falling star, oh heartless man. Your heart shall be mine."
"Wow," You deadpan, biting on the eggs. "Romantic."
Komaeda chuckles, sliding his hand over the spell. "Well, even trash like me wouldn't stoop to her level and give her my heart."
"Master!" Jataro gasps as the spell disappears.
"The two of you," He smiles. "Please enjoy breakfast." He gets up, tossing the rest of his breakfast to Monokuma. "Monokuma, please move the castle 100km and send hot water upstairs."
"Not the hot waterrr," The flame grumbles.
You scoop the eggs back into your mouth and pause as Jataro asks you a question.
"Do you work for the witch of the waste?"
"Lord forbid I work for that wrench of a whore," You spit. "If it weren't for her bastardry, I wouldn't be- mmmrph- I wouldn't- hrrmph- ARGH!! BLOODY HELL! Oh, once I get my daintly old hands on your thin little neck you wRETCHED WHO- ARGH!!"
Jataro clears the table and moves the books outside as you smack the broom on the ceiling. Dust and bugs fall everywhere, and the rats scurry to safety. The whole room fills with ashes, and you hurl the water onto the wood, scrubbing at it violently. You're pretty sure you're going to die of exhaustion soon; your muscles are sore. Curse your old age.
The floors of the first floor echo with cleanliness as you step to the fireplace.
"Can I have more wood? Hello???"
You toss Monokuma into a pan, the old piece of wood with him. He clings onto it, yelling about how he's going to die. You ignore him, raking out all the ashes from the previous wood. Pulling the edges of the sheet, you ignore him as you take the soot out.
Hurried footsteps rush down the stairs, and the sound of wood clattering makes you turn around.
"Try not to torment my friend," Komaeda smiles at you.
"My apologies," You watch him breeze past you, hair pulled back and adjusted.
"Master, are you going out?" Jataro pauses.
"Jataro, dear, tell out housekeeper not to get too carried away," Komaeda smiles, hopping out the door.
"What'd you do?"
"She abused me!!" Monokuma yells. "If I go out, then Komaeda does as well!"
"I'm the housekeeper," You deadpan. "My job is to clean."
You grab the mop and bucket and start toward the stairs. Jataro runs up before you can, and he yelps.
"No! Not the second floor!"
"If I were you," You hum amusedly, taking a step up the stairs. "I'd put your precious things away right now."
"My room last!" The boy runs up the stairs, and you grin.
The upstairs is somehow even more of a mess than the downstairs, and as you open the door to the bathroom, you are baffled. You thought Komaeda was organized. You swear it's like when a mom yells at a kid to clean their room even though it's clean in the kid's way. Too bad your job was to clean the entire house.
Before you start, you throw the window open, looking out to see the castle.
The view is breathtaking. The castle moves a step at a time, and underneath it is a valley. A river flows between the two mountains, thousands of evergreen trees are scattered, and you watch the castle fly over the forest. The green makes you hold your breath. It's gorgeous.
"Monokuma!! Monokuma!!" You yell, rushing down the stairs.
"What's all the fuss for?"
"Are you moving the castle on your own?" Your eyes glimmer as you stare from the stairs.
"Of course I am!"
"You're incredible!" You cheer. "Your magic is amazing! I'm so sorry for misjudging you!"
You rush back upstairs to start cleaning.
"You think so?" Monokuma turns pink. "You really think so?"
The house speeds up, and you work on the bathroom. The water is brown and murky, and you pull the drain. Rearranging all the bottles on the shelves and tossing the empty ones out, you exhale. Unclogging the toilet, you wince as the foul smell finally starts fading. Then, you grab a brush and start scrubbing. The colors wash off the basin with a brush of your rag, and you sigh blissfully as you finally finish.
You glance out the window, noticing the change in scenery.
"Not yet!" Jataro calls as you rush back into the hallway. It looks breathtaking outside.
"Oh... Lord," You open a door, eyes wide. "It's heavenly outside."
Goats rush through the mountains, pine trees and streams scattered about. Down the hill, a giant lake sits in the center. The water is bluer than the Aegean, and the sky is clear. A couple of clouds hide the rest of the lake, and rocks lead down the mountain to the lake.
Jataro rushes next to you, looking down.
"That's star lake," He points.
"How beautiful."
In the corner of his eye, Jataro notices a wooden pole sticking out of a hole.
"Huh," You reach for it, pulling at it. "Jataro, dear, could you lend me a hand?"
The two of you pull the pole out of the crevice, and you pause at the sight of the scarecrow.
"The scarecrow from earlier..." You mumble. "Did you follow me?"
He hops twice, spinning.
"I'll take that as a yes," You smile.
"Who is he?"
"A scarecrow I met on my way up," You hum, heading back inside. "Let's get back to cleaning, hm?"
Jataro helps you pull the laundry basket down to the lakeside as Calcifer lowers the hose. The two of you hand the laundry on the scarecrow's arm, and he hops around as you prepare lunch. The breeze by the lake helps you calm down as you exhale. Your shoulders relax, and you hum happily as you drink from the bowl.
"Does the scarecrow have a name?" Jataro holds the bread to his mouth, taking a bite.
"Turnip," You pause. "I think."
"Do you think he's a demon?" Jataro chews with his mouth open, and you wipe his cheek. "Monokuma seems to like him."
"Maybe," You exhale, heart light. "But despite that... he's the one who led me here."
The breeze flies off with the hours, and you sit yourself by the lakeside.
Your shoulders relax, and you hum a soft tune to yourself.
It's calm.
Night falls, and the door to the house clicks open. Komaeda stumbles in, feathers dragging behind him, feet in the form of claws. His breathing is labored as he pulls himself to the chair by the fire. Kicking both legs onto the brick, his chest heaves, and he grunts in annoyance. The feathers sticking to his skin disappear, and his feet turn back to normal. He exhales once he's human again.
"Keep doing that and you won't be able to transform back," Monokuma reminds. He reaches for a log on the side, and he grins. "Isn't this great? The housekeeper did this for me!"
Komaeda sits straight, a pained moan slipping past his lips. "The fighting is awful. The entire country is in flames. From the southern coast to the northern border, there is not a single town that isn't aflame."
"I hate the fire in gunpowder," Monokuma spits. "They have no manners."
"My own kind attacked me," Komaeda laughs airily.
"The witch of the waste?"
"Hack wizards masquerading as monsters."
"They'll cry plenty later on." Monokuma laughs evilly. "When they can't regain their human form."
"No, Komaeda stands up, stretching his arms. He feels a bone pop back into place. "They'll just forget that they ever knew how to cry. Like Kamukura."
"Aren't you supposed to report to the king?"
"Yes, well," Komaeda walks toward the curtains. "Hot water for my bath."
"Not again," The fire grumbles.
Komaeda stares down at your sleeping form. The wrinkles on your skin are missing, and the white of your hair is colored. Komaeda tucks you back in, shaking the blanket twice before covering you. He glances at your chest rise and fall, and he smiles gently. "Rest well, my dove."
The warm water jets against the bathtub, and you shoot awake. You hear a bone crack.
"Was that Komaeda?"
"Yeah," Monokuma reaches for another log. "Wasting my hot water."
You chuckle.
The morning is warm in Porthaven. It's nice and quiet, minus the couples of people bargaining for prices. You pay for the potatoes first, then you take a look at the fish. Jataro follows behind you, mumbling about how he didn't like potatoes or fish. You pause to take a look at the fish properly. The fisherman tells you they're all freshly caught.
A hoard of people rush down to the port.
"The fleet's come home!"
"Is that the smoke?"
You turn your head to look.
"There's been another battle." A passing man tells the fisherman.
"Ah, really? Then excuse me, I'll get to you later." The fisherman excuses himself and runs with the crowd.
"That ship's on fire!"
Sure enough, a battleship heads into the port, the top on fire. Seamen jump off the metal, and the civilians row their boats to help them to safety. In the corner of your eyes, you spot a blotch of black, and you hold Jataro back.
"Witch of the waste henchmen."
It disappears, and you sigh.
Above the two of you, an aircraft roars. Three bombs drop into the water, and you hold Jataro in your arms as they blow up. Papers flutter through the air, and you drag Jotaro back home.
"Papers!"
"They're enemy propaganda. Ignore them, child," You slam the door behind you, and you exhale. You rest on a chair, and you gasp for air. "Water, please, child."
Jataro turns on the tap, filling a clean glass with water. Upstairs, a loud boom is heard, and Komaeda's footsteps echo through the house. He screams.
"Dove, what did you do to the bathroom shelves!!" Komaeda runs to you, grabbing his hair. The auburn has been replaced by a bright pink. "My hair's turned this weird color!"
Jataro blinks.
"It looks lovely?" You tilt your head, unsure what he means.
"Take a good look!" Komaeda cries. "You mixed up everything on the shelves and ruined the spells!!"
"I didn't mix up anything," You raise a brow. "I simply cleaned up."
"But it was already clean," Komaeda bites on his tongue. "I told you not to get too carried away! Oh, how hopeless. How disgustingly despairing. I have no chance like this..."
Komaeda sits on the chair, staring blankly at the ceiling.
"It's not that bad," You try and comfort him. You take a step back as his hair turns from pink to blue, to green, to yellow... before finally turning to white. "The new shade is quite lovely in it's own way."
Komaeda blinks twice. "I'm done for... what's the point of living... if you're not... beautiful... ugh."
The room warps and darkens, and the floor and walls contort. You glance around yourself suspiciously, and Jataro speaks up.
"He's calling on the spirit of darkness." He blinks. "The last time he did this was when the love of his life broke up with him."
You try and place a hand on Komaeda, finding that a layer of white slime sticks to your hand. You back away slowly, heart wavering and lip quivering. "I've had enough of you, Komaeda! I've never once been beautiful! Never!" You rush down the stairs, throwing the door open. "I've had enough of this place!"
The rain pours on your skin, wetting you from head to toe. Your mind swirls with thoughts. You had never been beautiful. You had just been another country bumpkin who was set to take over the family's business. You stand there in the rain, letting yourself cry. The tears come out, the dam slamming open. It felt nice to be able to cry again. You don't mind the rain, it feels nice. It matches the atmosphere.
It had been a while since you had a good cry.
Behind you, the scarecrow hops next to you, an umbrella in hand. The rain stops falling on you, and you hum at the scarecrow. "Thank you, turnip."
"Y/n! Y/n!" Jataro runs out. "Please come back! Komaeda's in trouble!"
You follow the boy in, staring at Monokuma screaming for help. "Y/n!!! Help me!! I'm going to die!!"
You sigh, pushing your sleeves up. "Come help me out, child."
You feel four of your bones crack as you mop the floors and brick again, but at least Komaeda isn't having a mental breakdown anymore. You bring a cup of warm milk to his room and place it at his bedside table. "be sure to drink it while it's warm." You step back toward the door, and Komaeda's voice comes out.
"Don't leave, dove." Komaeda opens his eyes as you sit next to him.
"The witch of the waste is searching for my house." Komaeda turns to the side. "The truth is, I'm just hopeless. All of this magic is just to keep her despairful presence away. I'm terrified of her."
You pause. "May I know why you're running from her?"
"She's my ex," Komaeda sits up, chuckling to himself. "Isn't that funny? Now the king wants me to report to him... as both of my alternate identities..."
"Can't you refuse to?"
"You see that oath on the wall?" Komaeda sighs. "I swore to obey the king's every order."
"How dystopic," You hum. "Why not just visit the king? Just reject him to the face."
"Dove," Komaeda sighs. "You don't know what they're like."
"But he's a king, right? Kings usually think the best for their people-"
"That's it! Dove, you'll go in my place!" Komaeda gasps. "Meshitsukai's parent! You can pretend to be my parent! Just tell him that I'm an idle, good-for-nothing! Maybe Madame Enoshima will even give up on me!"
"Madame... Enoshima?"
It's official. You hate Komaeda.
You don't want to meet the king or whatnot, and you most definitely do not care about him enough to do this. You don't know why you're doing this. You're dressed in some outfit, and Komaeda pushes you out the door. You want to strangle him. Is that an option? You suppose you might owe him something, but you don't think you do. Maybe this is his way of paying you back for turning his hair white. You'd be lying if you said he didn't look good, though.
"Ah, before you go," Komaeda grabs your left hand, sliding a clover ring onto your finger. "This will alert me when there's danger. I'll also be following you to keep you safe."
Keep you safe, your ass.
You march down the roads of Kingsbury. Cars and machines whiz past you, and the colorful buildings pass in a blur. You don't have the heart to admire the architecture. You have more of an urge to strangle Komaeda. You're the housekeeper, housekeeper. Not his mom. Not his grandma. None of that weird blasphemy.
Ah, the easier way out might just be just to strangle Komaeda.
The visit to the king passes in a blur you refuse to recall. The witch of the waste is first turned into some completely different person, the pink hair turning black, freckles scattering over her skin. The king isn't a king at all. The king is a queen, a woman who looked exactly like the witch of the waste. It was strange. Does that mean Komaeda had dated the king? What sickening twist of events was this?
Your mind is spiraling with newfound confusion as Komaeda removes his disguise in front of you.
"I've kept my oath," Komaeda hooks an arm around your waist. "I've no wish to fight you. I'll be taking my mother."
"Too bad!" The king grins, her cheeks stretching eerily. "I won't let you! I'm sure your beloved mother would love to see who you really are."
A violent gush of water floods past you, and Komaeda holds you up.
"Don't look down, dove. It'll pull you down," Komaeda hums, watching the purple magic swirl around him. It circles around him, and the feathers start growing out of his body as he lunges for the king. You cling to him, screaming for him to stop.
Komaeda shoots you a smile before he rushes you to the plane. He starts the engine, flying off from the palace.
"Ah, it seems like you brought a whole team," Komaeda chuckles. You look behind you and stare at the witch of the waste and the king's dog.
"I should've just retired when I had the chance..." You sigh, and Komaeda moves you to the front seat.
"Too late for that," He hums, pressing your ring. "That'll lead you to Monokuma. We're being chased, so be sure to steer properly."
"I'm going to stab someone," You turn the wheel as Komaeda lets go, and you narrowly miss the tower of a church.
"I can give you five minutes of invisibility," Komaeda swipes his hand, and a duplicate flies the other way. You yelp as you narrowly dodge a tree, and you grimace. You pray you'll make it home before something happens.
As you spot the house, you realize something very important.
HOW THE HELL DO YOU STOP THIS THING?!
"Y/n!!!"
"JATARO!! I DON'T KNOW HOW TO STOP THIS THING!!" You scream, crashing right into the mouth of the castle. You cough from the wood and smoke that fills your lungs, and Jataro searches through the debris for you. You run down the wood and cement to him, and you sigh.
"You're safe." He pulls his arms around you.
"Yes," You mumble. "... I'll clean all of this in the morning."
The night wind blows gently, and the sun makes way for the moon. The crescent rocks gently, back and forth, and back and forth. It lulls the entire house to sleep, even with the dust all over the furniture. It's cozy, and Monokuma keeps the house warm at night. The sound of footsteps creaking up the stairs wakes you, and you grab the lantern next to your bed.
"Komaeda?"
The footsteps grow rushed, and you chase after the sound. Throwing his door open, you notice the hole in his wall, and you continue following the sound. A trail of feathers multiplies in number as you do, and you pause at the sight of a hunched-over bird. The bird is pretty, the black feathers tinted with pink. You run your hand down its back, and the creature turns to stare at you.
"Komaeda," You swallow. "Come on, turn back."
He hisses at you and rushes off into the darkness.
"KOMAEDA!"
You snap awake to the sound of running water, and Monokuma whines. "Y/n, we don't have much more time, Komaeda and I."
"And Komaeda will turn into a demon?"
"I can't tell you that, I'm a demon," He blows a raspberry.
"I was told by the king," You pause. "that Komaeda gave you something precious. What is it? Where is it?"
"I can't tell you," Monokuma grumbles.
"Even if I dump water all over you?"
"How mean!! If you kill me, then Komaeda dies with me!!"
You kick at the plane as Jataro, Turnip, and the dog tug the plane out; harshly so. It's not budging, so you give it a hard kick. The engine starts, and it plummets out of the mouth of the house. Crashing violently into the rocks, the others run out of the way. You pause to exhale, and you stare at the pot over Monokuma.
"Time for lunch!!"
Komaeda steps down the stairs, pausing at the sight of the witch and dog.
"Monokuma, why'd you let them in?" Komaeda tilts his head.
"They came flying in with Y/n," He shrugs.
"Haha, my dove, dramatic as ever," He smiles. "Oh, and you," He takes a step to the Turnip and taps his chin. "You're under quite the spell too!"
The scarecrow spins its head twice.
"Unfortunately, your spell is quite loud, so we won't be able to take you," He hums.
"Take? Where are we going?" You finish eating.
"We're moving," Komaeda smiles. "The king could track us down at any moment, so we're settling down."
You suppose there's some truth to the dysfunctional family you call created. Komaeda drags the paint around to create a magic circle, and Monokuma sits himself in the center. The house cranks and howls as he does. Komaeda steps inside, pressing the chalk into the wood, the white markings digging into the crevices. The dust from the chalk scatters.
Placing the chalk down on the table, Komaeda grabs a pan, scooping Monokuma into it.
"Let's start," He smiles, and the fire roars as Komaeda steps into the circle.
The house cracks and pulls, every corner rearranging itself. As it does, you recognize the interior. It looks like your old house. Your old home before you moved into the castle. The furnace forms itself, and the toilet is in the same position. Even your room looks the same. You're really home. It feels strange.
"There you go," Komaeda smiles, sliding a hand down your spine, and your back straightens almost naturally. "You look much more relaxed now, dove."
"Thank you," You mumble.
"I have a little something to show you," Komaeda smiles, twisting the door to the black section. "Just for you."
"Is that so?" You follow him as he opens the door for you, and your breath catches in your throat.
It's gorgeous. The pastures of lush grass and pink spread through the field. Tulips and carnations sway with the wind, and a stream trickles down the grass. Though it's night, it seemed as though the whole place was lit up. Fairies, perhaps? Who knew. It was gorgeous. The blue mist that sprinkled the fields and the setting sun. The world seemed to slow under the stars here.
"Do you like it?" Komaeda's voice comes out uncertain, and he fiddles with his fingers.
"I do," You exhale, heart calming. "It's gorgeous."
"I'm glad," Komaeda smiles, holding his hand out to you.
The moon loves the stars just as much as the stars love her beauty. The gentle glow from the moon keeps the darkness at bay. The stars join her in the sky, desperate to protect her just as they have been protected. Even if it would take trillions of them to help her, they would gladly die off, one by one, burning just to keep her safe. Maybe they had been blind to think that the moon didn't love them the same way, but it wasn't true. The moon matched their glow, just as happy in their presence.
They are recorded as children in the past, yet no one seemed to notice just how much the stars adored the moon. They were no children of the sun and moon. They were the moon's hearts. The ones who had sworn to stay by the moon's side, even as their precious moon chased after the sun until burnt. The stars would keep her safe, even as she sobbed over the loss of the sun's adoration and glow.
Komaeda takes your hand, helping you lay down in the grass. You notice the thin layer of magic around your body.
"Did you know? When the stars fall, the moon picks them up. That's why the moon is so thin," You hum, flexing your fingers in curiosity. "When searching for a fallen star, she lights herself to her brightest form. When she finally finds the star, she cuts her flesh to turn into a fishing hook, trying to reach for the stars."
Komaeda stares at you reach for the sky.
"Have you ever touched a star?"
"Monokuma was a star once," He chuckles.
"Really? I thought he was just some random fire."
"His name Monokuma was given by the witch," Komaeda sighs, lying down on the grass next to you.
"Ah," You pause to laugh into your hand. "How cute. It's a bit strange."
"Is that so?" Komaeda snaps his fingers, and you smile at the fireflies.
"My body was made of crushed little stars, and cursed with repeating the same mistakes." You close your eyes and feel a bug land on your face. "I longed for a life outside of what I had."
Komaeda brushes the bug from your face, and he hums. "What made you change?"
"Being driven into a corner," You mumble. "Being forced into a place with no way out. I couldn't bear to live while ugly."
Komaeda catches the tears that run down your cheek, and you turn to stare at him.
"How will I marry with wrinkled skin and a society that pushes beauty onto it's children from youth?" You laugh, a smile on your face.
"There are people who aren't just going for looks," Komaeda mumbles. "Why are you sad?"
"Because my sisters were always prettier," You smile. "Because as the eldest, I already had my life written for me."
"Mm," Komaeda leans on his arm, frowning. "But you're here now."
"But I'm here now," You close an eye as Komaeda reaches for you. "With you."
"With me," He smiles.
You don't notice how your wrinkles have smoothened out or how your back seems so much lighter. Komaeda makes you forget the world outside, even when you're under the gaze of the universe. He presses cold fingertips to your burning mind and reminds you that it's alright to take time and cool down. Taking life one step at a time was fine. It didn't matter if you had never felt like enough. Komaeda would make sure that he would save you, just as you had saved him so many years ago.
When you wake up, the house is empty again.
The people of the town are running, and you stare at the car that stops in front of you.
"Shirogane?"
"Oh, Y/n!" She cries, hugging you. "I'm so happy you're alive! You went missing for so long, so I got worried!"
She drops a pouch next to the fire, and pulls you to the door. "Are you not going to flee?"
"No," You shake your head. "I feel safe here."
She gives you a look of guilt, and you have a feeling you know what it is.
"I'm off then. Please stay safe."
"I will," You smile.
The witch of the waste pulls the pouch open as you send Shirogane away. A black worm appears in it, and she tosses the monster at Monokuma, forcing him to eat it. Monokuma coughs up black smoke as the woman pulls the cigarette to her mouth, mumbling quietly. "I won't let you take his heart. I have to be the one to present it."
You step back into the room and grimace at the sight of Monokuma.
"What happened to him?"
The witch shrugs.
You spend the day opening the windows to let the smoke from the cigarette out, and you cough as it doesn't disperse. It sticks to your lungs, driving you insane. You hate this. Ugh. Why can't two countries talk it out like civil people? What was the point of war? To kill the citizens? To destroy the people? For wealth? Conquest? Glory? You found no point in the war over a missing prince.
The sound of planes fly over the city, dropping bombs and bullets. The hail of metal shakes the house, and the monsters crawl outside. You hold the door closed against the blobs of black. Was this what the country was reduced to? An internal conflict with a war? Why the hell did they want Komaeda dead anyway?
You dig your heels into the wood as the black starts seeping in. You can't hold it off for longer. Komaeda isn't home, and you don't know when he'll return. Will this be how you die? You're tired. Yet, unlike before, you don't want to leave. You'll just pray that Komaeda shows up on time, like he always has.
The sound of wings and scattering of black causes your eyes to snap open. He's here.
He's here.
You exhale, the smoke no longer burning your lungs.
Komaeda's here.
You slide down the back of the door, exhaling in relief. Komaeda's alive. He's here.
He's home.
Gathering the strength in your legs again, you rush outside to welcome him.
Komaeda soars down with a bomb, spreading his wings to glide it down and let it land without impact. He lands on the ground, the feathers sticking out of his body, smoke and smog all over his face. Yet, as he lands, you rush over to him, heart in relief. He's safe.
"Sorry I made you wait," Komaeda rests his forehead on yours, and you press your lips to his. Komaeda melts into your touch, the feathers softening to your touch. Komaeda pulls away first, smiling at you. "Let's go in."
Komaeda watches the blotches of black try to squeeze in again and sends a gust of wind their way, knocking them back. Komaeda steps up the stairs, casting a spell on Monokuma to revitalize him.
"Monokuma, why'd you do that?"
"She fed something weird to me!" Monokuma coughs.
"Was that from the king, witch?"
"Nothing my sister hasn't given me," The woman grunts, putting out the cigarette on Komaeda's claw. "We need to chat."
"When I come back," He smiles.
"How rare," The woman stares at him. "You're not running away."
"Stay here, dove," Komaeda presses his hands on your shoulder and steps back toward the door.
"No!" You yelp, clinging onto his back. "Please, Komaeda. We can run away and live somewhere else. Please... I'm begging you."
"I'm tired of running, dove," Komaeda turns to cradle your face in his palm, and you tear up. "I have someone I want to protect now."
You watch him head out the door.
As he does, the magic tries breaking in again, and you turn the knob of the door. The wastelands. They're your only hope now.
"Jataro, darling, please take the witch out." You reach for a pan to throw Monokuma on.
"I'm not allowed out of the house," The fire cracks.
"I'll take responsibility."
"EWWWWW, IT MAKES IT SEEM LIKE-"
"Unless you want me to put you out." You glare at him.
"I'll go," Monokuma slides onto the pan without argument. You skip out the door, shielding him from the rain with your sleeve. The castle collapses; the wood and metal crack and tear, ripping the messy masterpiece to pieces. Monokuma winces at the sound, and you step back inside to find the mouthpiece. It would be much more efficient to run with something smaller.
"Monokuma..." You step back into the debris, placing the fire down and tearing away the wood from the stairs to give him something to burn. "Can you move?"
"I need something in exchange," The fire opens its mouth. "From your body."
"Uh..." You stare at yourself, and you grimace. "My hair. Is that alright?"
"Yep!" The fire reaches for your hair, and pulls off what it can. With the new fuel, the castle rumbles, the mouth attaching to legs and starting its voyage.
"That's incredible, Monokuma!" You gasp, staring through the flooring.
"Now imagine what I could do with your body or heart!" The fire roars, and you spot Komaeda in the distance.
"He's surrounded-"
The castle shakes, and the witch reaches for the fire.
"You have a heart... I can... give her the heart..."
You rush to stop her, but she grabs onto the fire, catching ablaze along with it. Her skin chars and burns, and you reach to pull the heart from her hands.
"Witch!"
"No!" She yells. "The heart is mine! Nee-san is looking for it!"
You finch back from how hard it burns, and you think quick. What can put the fire out... oh... oh no... water.
You grab the pail, throwing it at the witch without a second thought. The water drenches her, but it also puts Monokuma out. Your chest heaves, and the castle rumbles. You fall to the other side of it, and you yelp. Shit. Monokuma was doused too. Your heart drops to your stomach as your side of the room breaks from the other, and you fall back into a ravine, the wood and mental breaking with you.
Ah... did you...
You stare at your hands, mortified of what you had just done. You killed him. You killed Nagito Komaeda. Did you kill him? The love of your life? Ah. You've done it now. You killed him. How could you? You swore to protect him. But. But he didn't. He wasn't that. You couldn't watch a person burn from a fire in front of you. You were... saving... another person... by killing Komaeda. Was that worth it? There's no way that was. You shouldn't have... you should've just... ah
You sob into your hands, barely noticing the ring on your finger glow.
The dog you had stolen from the castle breaks free from the rubbish, and he barks, jumping on your lap.
"Huh?" You stare at him through your tears. "What?"
He nudges at your ring, and you inhale, chest puffing up. The ring. It's blue. It's glowing.
You glance at the place it's pointing at and stand up to break the metal chunk away from the rocks.
The door. It's the door. The ring is pointing toward the door. Your hand wraps around the knob apprehensively, chest tight with anxiety. Please be there. You're praying that you'll find him. Please.
Behind the door is darkness. It's muddy, uncertain with black. You reach your hand through it, unsure whether or not to go through. You're scared. What if you don't find him?
It's better to try.
You step through the door, starting to fall. The force brushed your neck uncomfortably, and you try to crane your neck to see if anything was around. It's not. It's dark. Dark with something you can only call nothing. The ring is still glowing on your finger, so you try and reach for it. In an instant, the black turns into the same flower field you were with Komaeda in.
In the distance is Komaeda himself. He's significantly younger, and he's holding Monokuma in his hand. You reach for him, screaming at the top of your lungs. "KOMAEDA, COME FIND ME IN THE FUTURE!"
You fall through the ground again, gasping as you sit up in the rubbish.
You stand up, praying that you'll find him. You dig through the rust and bolts, staring above you as someone flies down. Komaeda. He's back.
You open your arms to catch him, landing on the ground with a rough thud, cushioning his crash.
"Y/n!" Jataro yells from above.
"Darling!" You open your arms as he falls down to you. He cries in your arms, shaking and sobbing over the heart. The witch is still holding Monokuma, Komaeda's heart, in her hands. You let go of the boy, rushing over to Komaeda. Maybe he's breathing. Maybe. You don't know. You wouldn't know until you put his heart back.
"Witch... please?"
The witch hands you the heart gingerly, placing it into your hand gently.
"It's still mine."
"Of course," you smile, kneeling down to Komaeda's level. The debris scratches your knees and digs into your shoes, but you don't care. Your hand shakes as you brush his feathers to the side. You're trying your best not to cry. You can't. You won't until you put his heart in.
The glow that emits from his heart as you put it in causes you to hold your breath.
Please work...
It does.
Komaeda's eyes flutter open, his bird form disappearing and his skin returning. You press a hand to your eyes, crying into them. He's alive. Komaeda's alive. He's... alive.
You throw your arms around him as he sits up, knocking him back down. Your tears drench his shoulder, and Komaeda laughs breathily. You smack him gently at the sound of his laugh, but he only wraps his arms around you. His words comfort you, whispering about how he was alive and how you had done so well. He had found you.
"I found you," Komaeda peels himself from you, wiping your tears with a smile.
"You- hic, found me- hic," you sob.
"I found you," Komaeda laughs, running his hand down your head, humming gently against your skin.
Once your crying calms, Komaeda presses a kiss to your cheek, licking at the salty remains on your skin.
"Mng," You pull away from him.
"Dove," Komaeda hums. "Your curse is gone."
"Ah?" You stare at him. "That's... wonderful. Thank you."
Monokuma takes the form of a star, and the two of you turn to face him.
"Right," You stand up, reaching for the scarecrow. "Thank you, Turnip." You press a kiss to his cheek. "For helping us."
Komaeda wraps his arms around you with a pout on his face. Magic swirls around the scarecrow, the wooden limbs turning into human ones, and his height decreasing. "Ah," he turns to face you. "Thank you for breaking the curse. I'm Prince Naegi, thank you for saving me. The curse would break with a true love's kiss."
You feel Komaeda whine on your shoulder.
"I'll be heading back now," he bows. "To put an end to this war once and for all. I'll see you all again soon."
You watch the prince disappear before your eyes, and Komaeda turns you by the waist to face Monokuma.
"Will you be leaving now?" You reach for the star.
"... can I stay," You can't see it, but you can hear the pout in his voice.
"Yeah," You smile. "Of course you can."
Under the darkened clouds, bomber planes soar. The clouds don't rain or strike, but the darkness is worrying. Underneath the bomber, the grass plains have recovered from the war. Nature heals itself, the wildflowers spreading over the new soil. The colors of blue and pink set you at peace. Over the prairie, the fireflies glitter and glow, and you turn your head.
"Dove," Komaeda smiles, handing you a cup of tea. "What are you staring at?"
"The field," You press a kiss to his jaw and take the cup from him.
"Do you want to visit it?" He tilts his head.
"No," You glance down again. "Just admiring."
"Would you like to dance again?" Komaeda sets his cup on the floor, reaching to take yours.
"Don't let go, please?" You let him take the cup, and he smiles.
"That's a given, love," Komaeda hoists himself onto the railing, and he takes your hand, throwing you into the air.
Above the clouds, the stars and moon watch your every move. The glow from the moon coats both of you in white, hugging and wrapping her arms around you. While the moon does that, the stars gossip and collect stories to tell the sun. That's there's a love so pure that even the fallen stars decided to stay with them. That the dance was so beautiful that it drove the moon to tears.
Komaeda laughs with you under the night sky. He spins you in his arms, never once letting go of your hand. You're dazzling. He couldn't think of loving anyone but you. That was just how you were. The blessing that seemed to fall out from the heavens and promise him hope. That's just what you were. A dove promising him peace with himself in the future.
"Thinking of something?" You spin in his arms.
"Thinking of you," He smiles.
"Ah," you laugh breathily. "How sweet."
"Only for you," He pulls you into his arms, pressing a kiss to your forehead. "Only for you."

Hiyoko was reluctant but was bribed by gummies. Y'all had your picnic and went home a bit happier and watched cartoons while your life started over from where it started lol
"hmp! I can't believe Mahiru set a picnic up for us. At least I'm getting gummy bears though so I don't care! Oh? You want some? HAH! well good luck with that! But maybe I'll give you some later. Who knows? HAHAHA!!!"
Mahiru Koizumi:
Yes. That's all. She says yes and y'all have a blast! She's super happy about it even though she made the plans without telling you. She did let you know the day before though 😊. Y'all do that one thing where yall feed food to each other and some things it's cute but others *coughs Hiyoko coughs* scoff and make fake throw up sounds.
"thanks for the picnic even though I planned it! Your sweet. Maybe we can have another one? I wanna take a photo before we leave. Just like I did before we are!"
Mikan Tsumiki:
She's nervous as hell. Sonia had to help her plan it since she was worried about it being ruined or messed up because of her. You have to remind her that it's okay if stuff goes wrong.
She's super happy you understood her concerns and isn't afraid to show it. The whole picnic she's complementing you and thanking you sm she's kinda slurring her words from how much she's saying thank you lol.
"thank you thank you thabk you! I'm so happy you u-understand my worries! If theirs anything at all you need don't hesitate to let me know!"
Ibuki Mioda:
She wasn't to fond. She honestly wanted to go to a concert or amusement park but she'll settle for a picnic. She sings at the park you guys went and now y'all are being stared at. She doesn't care but so many eyes on you kinda makes you nervous so you tell her to stop.
She understands and stops, after y'all eat you guys to your homes and call it a day but she WILL go to a concert with you one day. Mark her words.
"MWUAHAHHAha! You may have fooled Ibuki once but I WILL make our next date a concert date! MARK IBUKI'S WORDS!!! WORDS!!!"

Komahina with a Fem!Ultimate Hope!S/O
Komahina🍊☘️
🍊 Y'all met at the start of the killing game, like everyone else did. ☘️ At first, Hinata never paid you any mind. You were stuck here like the rest of them, so it didn't matter what talent you had. He couldn't deny he felt a bit jealous though, you had such a cool talent and he had nothing, how unfair can life be? He didn't hate you, he was just in awe of your ambiguous talent (if something as vague as hope could be considered one). 🍊 Nagito on the other hand, the boy was enamored the moment he saw you. He didn't know about your talent at first, but once he found out it was as if Cupid has shot an arrow through his desperate heart. He began fanboying over you a little bit, take that as you will. ☘️ Hajime was tired of hearing about your talent by the first week. Nothing personal against you, Nagito was just so lovesick it was annoying. Nevertheless, Hajime did make and effort to get to know you better apart from the whole ultimate whole thing. Part of him wanted to see what all the fuss was about, but another part buried deep inside him wanted to genuinely spend some time with you. 🍊 Hajime felt like you and him had a lot in common for some reason, like you both could understand each other no matter how different you seemed to be from everyone else. ☘️ Nagito also spent a lot of time with you. At first, it started of like a sort of follower-celebrity thing, but later on he genuinely came to seek out and enjoy your company for the sake of hanging out and not because you were the Ultimate Hope. He still admired that part of you, but he learned that there were other parts of you to admire as well. 🍊 You seemed to calm him, like he didn't have to be so over-the-top all the time and he could just…relax. You brought out a side of him that Nagito wanted to explore more. Strangely enough, Hinata also seemed to have this feeling, so that's where the idea of a trio hangout started. ☘️ You decided on a time and place and headed off to your cabin to get some rest. 🍊And that was the beginning of a very loving relationship! ☘️Your status as Ultimate Hope does create an un-even playing field sometimes, but all three of you work hard to recognize that Ultimates–in the grand scheme of things–are nothing more than just fleeting titles. 🍊Out of the two, Hajime was the one who adapted to the relationship faster. While neither had much experience under their belt, Hajime knew the quarrels of being a regular dude and didn't struggle with the idolization that Nagito equated to love. ☘️Yeah, that was a fun cycle to break 🍊Nagito was the one with more romantic qualities, though. It took Hajime a while to get out of his inferiority complex. While Nagito wasn't that much better in that regard, he was more willing to spend money and time of the both of you. ☘️Date nights were spent trying to make sure Nagito didn't go bankrupt and then wandering off to some parking lot to push each other in the shopping carts. 🍊You don't let your title dictate how your relationship goes, even going as far as saying you share your title with them. A few tears might've been shed that time. ☘️Nagito's favorite moments are when you three are in the comfortable quiet of one of your rooms, just cuddling and enjoying each other's presence. Those quiet yet comfortable moments reassure him of the joys of staying alive and how beautiful intimacy can be, even in this wretched world. It gives him hope, hope that he is–deep down at least–worthy of love. 🍊Hajime's favorite moments are the extraordinarily mundane. Despite spending the majority of his life wishing he were one of the Ultimates, he finds himself enjoying the normalcy his partners bring (even if he is dating the Ultimate Lucky Student and the Ultimate Hope). It gives him hope, hope that his specialty lies in his ability to love and be loved instead of in his attributes to a harsh and unloving world. ☘️ Bonus: You have Hajime saved as "Piñata" and Nagito saved as "Nugget"

Commission: DRV3 Boys x Female Reader - Seven Minutes in Heaven
Details: Takes place during the killing game, timeline switched around, creative license taken to imply everyone is alive and has known each other for at least a few weeks and has had time to get to know each other a bit. The threat of the killing game is still there though. Monokuma has announced it, just nobody has been killed yet. It’s also implied that the reader has a crush on the boy in each section however whether or not the boy is oblivious to that fact or feels the same varies.
Word Count: 5K Words
Warnings: SFW - fluff, maybe mild angst, possible V3 spoilers
Everyone needed something to divert their attention and obsessive thoughts away from the killing game. Though nothing had happened yet, the group of Ultimates got more and more antsy by the day. Every dark corner or empty stairwell seemed like a threat, and mistrust grew and loomed over them all like a black mold growing on the walls.
No one seemed to feel safe, though it had been weeks since the menacing-looking monochrome bear informed them that they were to kill each other for sport so they could return home to their regular school life and families. There was no concrete proof that this wasn't an extensive, well-planned practical joke or social experiment, some prank that would result in cameramen and producers springing out of the woodwork once all was said and done, and that was the only thing holding them together mentally. This could all be fake.
Nevertheless, something needed to change. They all had their little subgroups, individual trusted cliques or closest allies, but there was no denying the entire group needed to come together, to get to know each other a bit better and let off some steam. Unity meant potential lasting peace and no fatalities.
Someone suggested they play a frivolous little game that could keep everyone's attention for a while. Even though most of the group hadn't played it since middle school and some never at all, the rules were straightforward and simple enough. In addition to passing the time, it might even spark a little drama or romance. Any emotion was preferable to the fear of death and the sense of impending disaster.
Seven Minutes in Heaven: a game where two people go into a small room or cramped closet alone and have seven minutes to do anything they want to each other. Usually, the goal was the get handsy, to kiss or hug, to confess to someone, to make each other nervous, or to engage in casual romantic activities. It was supposed to be steamy and awkward, to put pressure on the two people. They would all randomly pick straws, and the two people who got the shortest straws would have to go in together while everyone else sat outside and timed their seven minutes. Knowing your peers were mere feet away outside the door only added to the tension.
The location was set: a small, cramped closet on the first floor next to the spare classroom and just before the steps down to the basement. It was dimly lit by an ancient overhead lightbulb hanging on by a thread and had just enough room for two people once the abandoned supplies, tools, and cobwebs were scooted to the edges. The Hotel Kumasutra was suggested first, but was shot down for being perhaps a little too intense, dramatic, and high-pressure for such a simple game. Nobody felt comfortable enough to enter the daunting building as of yet, despite its proximity to the popular casino.
And so, the game began.
Rantarou Amami
Waiting anxiously to see who you'll be paired up with, you pace the meager few steps you can manage in the tiny closet - back and forth, back and forth - working up a sweat that's more nerves than physical exertion. When the door swings casually open and you immediately see a fluffy full head of green hair, a shiver runs down your spine. It's a shiver that is half excitement and half humiliation. Of all fifteen other classmates, of course your crush, Rantarou Amami, was the one destined to draw the other straw and be trapped in here with you for seven excruciating minutes. Anyone else, literally anyone else, and you could've stalled, talked your way through those seven minutes, felt indifferent, and at most a little awkward. Rantarou made your heart flutter, froze you in place nearly every time he interacted with you. You stuttered, felt like you never said the right thing. He was just so handsome, with a smooth voice and a mysterious yet kind personality. You were quite sure, even with the memory loss you'd all suffered, that you hadn't had a crush this intense in quite a while. Certainly not one that turned you into a foolish mess.
Rantarou entered with his head bowed, shoulders shrugged forward. You'd never seen him - a dude who was usually quite confident and smooth - looking so uncomfortable. When he spun to look at you, the door now shutting you two in alone, he was almost wincing, facial expression squeezed into wrinkles and furrowed brows. It was as if his face was trying to say: "I'm sorry about this..."
"Heeeeey, (Y/N)," Rantarou spoke in a sing-songy voice that, again, was out of character for him, yet you felt your body stiffen up all the same. You hugged your body instinctively, feeling vulnerable as your heart beat wildly in your chest. You took a step back to create more space between you and the object of your infatuation and nearly tripped over a cardboard box on the ground behind you. "Yeah, this is about what I expected," he chuckled, his eyes wrinkling closed into kind little lines. He held his hands out in a sign of passive surrender. "So sorry about this, (Y/N). I swear, there was nothing I could do! It was all random." He rubbed the back of his neck, a small dust of pink over his cheeks. You felt your stomach drop. Did he think you disliked him? Was he perceiving your involuntary reaction as disgust rather than flustered? You suddenly felt super guilty. You were just now realizing he probably had taken note of this same adverse reaction every single time you were in the room with him. The logical thought process would probably be that your body language showed disdain.
"Oh, oh no, I hope you don't think I'm upset about being paired with you! I didn't realize my-" you tried to relax your shoulders, not wanting to let your own feelings affect him negatively.
"No, I don't think that at all, actually..." he cut you off, not wanting to let you get too far into this incorrect notion. He paused, thinking over how to word things delicately. "It's quite the opposite. I'm not as dense as you might think, actually. I pick up on things pretty well," he chuckled again, trying to ease the tense atmosphere, "and I... I kinda know you like me. You always get like this... when I talk to you. I'm... a bit more perceptive and empathetic than people think. I just wanted you to know, it's okay! You don't have to feel that way! I was worried about your reaction when I stepped in here. I knew you'd freak out." So subtly - almost seeming practiced and experienced - he gently clasped his rough hands into yours. They felt calloused, perhaps from the travels and adventures he'd vaguely mentioned when you sat there like a statue listening to him talk around the academy. The many bracelets settling on his wrists shook you back to reality, and your face heated up at the skin-to-skin contact. "I mean, I'm not trying to boast because I really don't think I'm such a catch, but I see the way you look at me, I've heard Miu talking about you having a crush as well..."
"I... I don't know what to say," you release a breath you didn't know you'd been holding, "This is a bit embarrassing..." you grumble, looking at the ground.
"You don't need to feel embarrassed. Honestly, I think you're a really cool person as well. I would love to get to know you more, but you always seem to run away after we talk for a little. The others are always around. It would be cool to spend some time hanging out alone, now that... I'm kinda confessing that I'm interested in you too?" He gives you a crooked smile. "Woah... your hands are like shaking."
Was this a dream? Was Monokuma replacing your classmates with clones to prank and humiliate you? There's no way Rantarou, the most attractive and fascinating guy here, was into you...
"I... I would really like that. Yeah, I'm sorry about my... less than pleasant reaction. I really didn't mean to come off as weird or make you uncomfortable."
"Hey, no worries. Well, you know, I played this game a ton in middle school. It was always silly, and stupid, but I have no issue playing it again, especially with you. What do you say? After all, I've played games way worse than this."
Ryoma Hoshi
The athlete strolled leisurely into the closet, hands in his pockets and the stick of a lollipop hanging carelessly out of his mouth. He always had something hanging out his lip, be it a candy cigarette, a toothpick, or something in between. You wondered if it soothed him. You'd gathered from conversations with him that his life had been pretty traumatic, at least in your opinion. His eyes were half-lidded as always, lazy and donning dark bags underneath. He sighed, stepping into the dim lighting provided by the single, dingy bulb above.
"Yeah, so I didn't really have anything better to do. Everyone else was sayin' they'd play and I was in the room at the time so I got roped in. Can't be much worse than anything else I've been through. Figured it might be good for morale, for these people to loosen up and play a game or two together. Lotta mistrust brewing." He looked around, seemingly disinterested and boasting an incredibly calm demeanor. You were wondering how someone could feel not even a little bit nervous playing a game with a premise like this.
"You don't have to stay if you don't want to!" You smiled softly, offering him an out. You liked Ryoma a lot. His chill attitude, mysterious and interesting past, deep voice, and cute face intrigued you enough to even form a little crush, but you didn't want him here out of coercion or peer pressure.
“It’s whatever. I’m down to play. It’s fine. However, I’m sure I wasn’t who you expected or were hoping for.” He shrugs, less self-deprecating and more as if stating a plain fact. It didn’t seem to bother him either way if you did in fact wish it was someone else who was chosen to be with you for this dumb little game.
“Nah, I’m not disappointed,” you smirk a bit deviously, trying to hide the excitement you truly felt. You see his eyebrows raise a tad, which is more expression than you usually get from him. “Someone like you is kind of an interesting partner for this game. I’m betting you have more life experience overall than me. In fact, I know you do, after listening to some of your stories. You probably have more experience in everything: street smarts, common sense, even romance.”
“Uh, let me stop you right there.” He lets out a tiny, brief, dry chuckle, something skeptical in his tone. “Actually, not true at all, that last part. Not much romance in my life. Funny, you and I actually talk more often than I do with the others… I thought you would’ve picked up on that.”
“Oh?” You challenge him playfully, trying to flirt him into a more open mood.
"Yeah, I'd think that would be obvious. Who wants to take a chance on a no-good criminal with a clouded, ominous past? I don't really tell people all the details, and I'm not going to, but then I can't be surprised if people don't want to get to know me or trust me. Also, I'm aware I'm not the ideal, looks-wise. Never bothered me, but-" Once again, you can tell he's not looking for sympathy, but just honestly sharing his thoughts about himself. Before he can talk himself down further, however, you cut him off.
Stopping his words in their tracks, you leaned down to his height, bending at the waist sensually. Without skipping a beat, you casually took the lollipop from his mouth, coaxing it out without much resistance on his part. Smiling impishly, you popped it into your own mouth.
You'd never seen Ryoma Hoshi blush before this moment. It seemed like something he was incapable of.
Korekiyo Shinguuji
The lean, dangerously mysterious anthropologist stood across from you, tall enough and so close that he blotted out the dim light from the single bulb above in the cramped closet. He appeared like a silhouette, like some spooky demon or spirit from the cultural legends he often told you about. He seemed to be giggling behind his mask, amused at your flustered reaction to his closeness before he began to speak in that mystifying voice of his that was like smoke hissing past your ear and tickling the outer shell:
"You know, (Y/N), I almost said no to playing... This seems like such a childish little game, maybe even a waste of my precious time when I could be studying up on literally any other topic. But... then I thought: I've done far more promiscuous things than this before, games and rituals alike, so what's the harm in some little kid’s game? Why not? After all, there's something to be learned from every experience, and this game seemed integral to the middle school lives of our classmates, therefore making it culturally significant... if I... broaden my definitions a little." He rolled his eyes up to the ceiling, making you sweat as he moved even closer during his little monologue.
"I see you're being v-very open-minded," you chuckled nervously, trying to hide the loud pumping of your heart. "Yes, I would've thought you were far too mature for this game!" You were now flat against the wall, nearly caged in by his lithe form hovering over you.
"I thought it might even be exciting," his tone adopted a more predatory note, "to see who I get and explore the essence of who they are, find their inner beauty for myself, one-on-one and in private. When nobody else can hear or see, they might let down some walls, and expose a side of themselves in this killing game that nobody has seen yet. It could be a fascinating study of human behavior. I didn't really care who I got matched with, as everyone here - with such varied personalities and talents - could be an extremely interesting subject!"
"Subject?" Now he was starting to worry you. You had to admit, though, the way he was passionately speaking, the way he pinned you into the corner of this enclosed space... it was rather exciting.
"You seem nervous..." he tilts his head innocently. "There's nothing to be afraid of, little (Y/N). This game, as I take it from the rules, is to start a romantic or flirty interaction, to cause feelings to bubble up in each other - excitement, arousal. These emotions are so wonderfully and beautifully human. Is that what you want, to try this in earnest?" You see one of his hands reach over to its opposite and begin to unravel the layers of gauze bandaging. You nod enthusiastically, almost entranced by his words. He takes this consent as his opportunity to take control, and something in his golden eyes turns animalistic.
"Good." He purrs.
Gonta Gokuhara
Almost comically shoved into this tiny closet and leaving little to no room for you was your chosen-at-random partner: Gonta Gokuhara, the gentle giant. He was desperately trying not to hit his head on the ceiling while also trying to remember to be considerate of you and your personal space. It was the gentlemanly thing to do, after all.
"Gonta wanted to play, because all of his friends were playing too! This game... sounds fun, but Gonta never played it before. Gonta a bit confused. Gonta love everyone here as a good friend, swear to protect them all, so why we not all play game together, in bigger, more comfortable place?" He asked genuine, thoughtful questions, and it appeared to you that he in fact did not know what he was getting himself into. You'd make sure he understood clearly before playing, as someone had obviously shoved him in here without a clear description of the rules or goals.
"Well, Gonta, this is a game where you're supposed to come in with one other person only and do flirty, cute, romantic stuff. Why did you agree to play without knowing what's going on?" You shook your head, snickering under your breath. You'd always found Gonta's endless positivity and determination to make others feel happy and protected adorable. He probably just wanted to be included, to make sure everyone had fun. And you had no doubt he was intelligent enough to understand the simple rules of this game, it was just very likely someone more mischievous - like Kokichi or Miu - purposely kept him out of the loop.
"Oh! O-okay!" He begins to blush, his mouth pressing into an uncomfortable, pursed line. "Gonta never done anything like that!" He was beginning to perspire on his brow.
"Well, do you want to try? You don't have to, keep that in mind! It's your choice, Gonta." You smiled in encouragement, making sure your body language wasn't applying any pressure to him even subconsciously.
"Ummm... Gonta would like to try if everyone else playing. Also!... Gonta trust (Y/N)." His words are shaking, and you decide you'll do the bare minimum, just a warm-up to see if he truly means his words. Him putting his trust in you was melting your heart.
Gently, as if you were approaching a bird that might fly away at any moment, you took a step closer to him and began to unbutton the tight brown suit jacket from his abs and waist.
Kokichi Ouma
Immediately upon being trapped in the closet with this gremlin, he started teasing you, trying to make you crack, or cry, whichever came first. All reactions were good reactions to him.
"Of all people, you got stuck in here with me. Sucks for you, don't it, (Y/N), you prude!" He swirls a finger in the air and presses it firmly into your chest, taunting you.
He spends the next few agonizingly drawn-out moments poking fun at you, at your flustered reactions, at the way your body responds to both his words and small touches.
"Oh, come on, (Y/N), this is baby shit! I barely even touched you! With my title as Supreme Leader, I've had to seduce hundreds of marks into giving up information or giving me what I want, and you can't even handle this? You wouldn't last two minutes in an interrogation by my organization, let alone seven. Pathetic!" He starts laughing, amused by your humiliation so much that his eyes begin to water.
You're sure his claims of seducing and interrogating victims before are lies, but regardless, your heart was beating out of your chest. Why did he have this effect on you? He had you right where he wanted you, and you were falling into his trap. Every time he ran his chilled fingers up your exposed arm or touched your chest and collarbones, you felt a shiver of desire and fright, a shockwave of panic and delight in tandem.
In truth, the others were worried about you. Most of them, the kinder portion of the group, felt bad about sending you in there alone with Kokichi. They didn't think such a kind, unassuming person deserved this kind of treatment.
With an underlying gentleness that almost betrayed his performative vitriol for you, he pushed your shoulders back, like a bully on a playground. He took note of your clumsiness, of the lack of coordination you must have if such a petite young man like him could nearly topple you over. He seemed to be taking into account his lack of time. Seven minutes wasn't much to work with. He'd had his fun, and was ready for the climax.
You stumble back against the wall, and instantly he pounced on you, cornering you in. Before you had time to adjust, to correct yourself to an upright position, he grabbed both sides of your face, pulling you in for a sloppy, deep kiss that lacked any care or gentleness. Your eyelids flew open as the taste of sweet candies and grape sodas flooded your mouth.
Kaito Momota
Kaito stood with his arms crossed defiantly in the middle of the closet. His taller frame and masculine figure took up most of the space as he stood firm, stubbornly biting the inside of his cheek. His brow was furrowed angrily, but not with an anger directed at you. After all, you must've been a victim in this just as much as he.
"Now, I didn't really wanna do this... it's beneath someone who sees fit to call themselves the Luminary of the Stars. I didn't earn this title through kiddy games after all, but..." he looked frustrated, maybe even with himself, "but they tried to say I'm too scared to play! As if!" He paced once in a circle in the tight confines, then huffed. "I'm realizing just now that I probably fell for it and this was their plan all along." He sighed deeply. "I gotta stop letting these assholes get to me." He conceded, his pride hurt. You had to admit, his reaction to the game was disappointing you, as you couldn't think of a better person to get stuck in here with. You smiled sheepishly, letting the uncomfortable silence mellow out in the air. You only had seven minutes, after all. "Man, it's cold and awkward in here..." Ah, yes. Kaito wasn't the type to let things just be silent. You decided it was your turn to speak now.
"So... you don't want to play with me, at all?" You speak shyly, a bit embarrassed at your own words.
"What, you do?" He counters, a single brow raised as you piqued his curiosity,
"Well... I mean, haha," you thought through how to word this so as to not weird him out or scare him off, or really just embarrass yourself in the process, "I felt really lucky to get stuck in here with you, out of everyone. If I may speak openly and honestly, I've been crushing on you for a while..." You felt your blood running hot.
"You have?" He's flushed pink, pulling his jacket in closer for security.
"Yeah, of course! You're handsome, charismatic, and you make me laugh when we are just hanging out casually. I think your determined spirit is admirable... but if you don't feel the same-"
"No!" He cut you off a little too eagerly before he could remind himself he was supposed to be playing it cool. He cleared his throat, calming down his tone a bit, "No, I mean I think you're great, too. And you're beautiful! Out of all these idiots, I'm glad it's you, too." Your heart swells. "Not that... not that I've been dwelling on this thought for too long." Though it feels like your heart is pumping fast enough to warm the entire room, Kaito was right, it was quite drafty in there. Seeing you shiver at the temperature, Kaito removes his large galaxy jacket and wraps it around your shoulders. It smells of him, of hair products and fresh deodorant. Simple and subtle. "We should hang out some more on our own, when we want to, not when these assholes force us into some stupid game with expectations and shit." He shows you a beaming, celebrity-like grin. "I would be an idiot to not want to get to know you more, especially with your talent!"
Shuichi Saihara
Poor Shuichi. The reserved, introverted detective had found himself shoved into this closet against his will. He'd merely come to observe the game from the farthest corner of the room - bored, and too wary of the threat of the killing game to be alone. Being alone was just the worst option right now: either his own thoughts would consume him or a potential killer might.
So now here he was, paying the consequences of wanting to hang out with a group of his peers. They'd put his name into the lottery without his permission, thinking it a cute and funny little prank, and when he was chosen, it only took two or three of them to shove him inside while he attempted to jump and claw his way out. Now he was a sweating, blushing mess, pawing at the door like a cat trapped in a bedroom. The same students that pushed him in snickered and howled in laughter on the other side, leaning their weight into the door so he couldn't escape. After a while, someone as smart as him knows when an effort becomes futile. He sighs, turning to face you with a warm flush of red over his entire body that contrasts wildly with the blues and blacks of his hair and uniform tones.
"Ugh, I'm so sorry, (Y/N)," he groans, his voice cracking under his nerves. "I told them I didn't wanna play, but..." were you really that bad to be stuck in here with? His reaction seemed... over the top. Your shoulders sank downward, humbled by his response to your existence in the same space as him. He sees your crestfallen expression and panics, guilt overcoming him. "Please, no it's not you! I mean no offense. I didn't wanna come in here with anyone." He takes note of how your mood doesn't pick up in the slightest, and lets his head fall into his hands. "This is so embarrassing. I actually do really like you, this is just so awkward."
"You do?" Your ears perk up at that. Maybe you were mistaken in your earlier judgment.
"Yeah! You've always been kind to me, and you're quite interesting and fun to hang out with in this hellhole. Talking to you... really gets my mind off things..." he admits, clearly self-conscious. "I... well sometimes, I hear you talking about how you think you'll be the first victim of the killing game, talking down about yourself. I don’t think you should count yourself out... we all have our own strengths, though I know I ought to take my own advice sometime." He chuckles in such a gentle, exhausted way that it might as well have been merely an exhale.
Neither of you even noticed that during his little speech of praise toward you, he'd reached out and taken your hands gently in his own. It was a reflexive, instinctive, and intimate move. Rather than pull away, now feeling a bit more stable, and comfortable in sharing his thoughts as you hadn't reacted adversely, he pushes a bit further. He rubs his thumb across the back of your hand, and for seven minutes, that's enough for him.
Kiibo / K1-B0
The almost-human robot is standing across from you, arms flat by his side. He looks far more relaxed than you were, passive and maybe in some kind of rest mode, if he had one.
"Now what?" He asks plainly.
"Nobody told you what to do?" You replied, a bit stunned and wondering why he was even here.
"Vaguely. It sounded like a complete waste of time, though. If it's what humans do, it's certainly not in my programming. Therefore, I might as well learn from this experience as not to be embarrassed later on should the topic come up again." He sounded so practical, so... bored with the current situation.
"Well... I don't know how much you were told but this game is about emotions, feelings... touching and flirting, making the other person nervous and flustered, seeing how far you two are willing to go with each other… in a romantic kind of way. It's uniquely human... it may not be productive for you if you can't comprehend-"
"I have plenty of emotions and feelings! I can understand it perfectly fine!" He retorted, offended and seemingly embarrassed. You didn't know he could get embarrassed. Maybe he could in fact enjoy this game to its fullest. You intended to get something out of this experience. This could be fun. You had to admit, you'd been curious about the extent of Kiibo's understanding of human interactions and emotions for a while now. You wondered how much he could feel, emotionally and physically. If you pulled his hair, would he cry out? If you scratched his thigh, would it bleed simulated blood? There could be a lot of room for exciting discovery that awaited you.
"Well then, I'm curious..." you reach a single, cautious hand outward and stroke his hair. It's stunningly soft. It feels shockingly real, not like some cheap synthetic wig or some type of rubber or metal shaped to mimic hair. Kiibo did something like a vibration or shudder, a chill running down his spine. You wondered if this was a programmed response, all artificial and planned, or if Kiibo's free will really extended that far. How real did his creator intend for him to be? For what purpose was he truly built? What did a scientist stand to gain from making a feeling, loving, human-like young man? You could see a war machine or an endless knowledge bank easily being worth the time, but Kiibo didn't seem to excel in pretty much... anything. "How does that feel?"
"I... I don't know. It's making me... relax? I think that's how you'd describe it. I feel like I am running on low power and sluggish, but in a good way? On purpose..." he speaks softly.
"And this?" You run a hand down his pale cheek, and it's warmer than expected, though below a real human’s body temperature for sure. You're so focused on touching the simulated, soft, supple skin, that you don't even notice Kiibo's eyes blown wide open as if scanning you, entranced and staring almost through you. It was safe to say he might have been touched-starved, unused to the sensation.

hello!! i saw requests were open and sprinted here. could i request the dr3 aphrodisiac soup scene where the reader didn’t eat the soup and now has to take care of/deal with an overly clingy, no filter, horny komaeda? thank you!
OMG I LOVE THIS ANON I AM GONNA KISS YOU MWAH
This is the first time I've had genuine inspiration in a while
(I had a lot of fun writing this)
Warnings: GN!Reader, NSFW, brief MENTION of somnophilia, there's no sex or anything but this is more than suggestive enough for me tag NSFW, nevermind there's dry humping and Komaeda cums in his pants
Tumblr media
You sighed, hardly able to believe what was happening.
Out of dumb luck, you'd been able to narrowly avoid the aphrodisiacs that Saionji slipped into Hanamura's soup. You just hadn't been hungry, and despite Hanamura's offense, you denied having a plate.
Which you were now very thankful for, as your entire class looked incredibly...horny.
Someone in particular, was giving you quite the trouble.
Your luckster boyfriend had his arms wrapped around you, leaning against you as he breathed heavily.
With his trembling frame leaning on you for support, you couldn't help but wonder if it was Komaeda's luck that kept you safe from the soup. You felt bad thinking about what would happen if he had no one to help him at a time like this.
You felt even worse for Komaeda as you heard his labored breathing, and stroked a hand through his sweaty hair. His collared shirt was unbuttoned and his tie was loose to expose his collar bones as sweat dripped down his neck.
"Y/NN..." He drug out the last syllable of your name. "I know- I know I don't deserve it...but please let me- hah," He took a moment to breathe. "Let me have a taste of your hope..." He whispered pathetically.
He was putting pretty much all his weight on you at this point, having trouble supporting himself.
A quick glance down at the defined bulge in his pants was more than enough to clue you in on his meaning, and you sighed at his lack of tact. You supposed you couldn't blame him, though. If you were in his position you probably would have jumped his bones by now.
"Hey, don't talk like that, honey." You answered lowly, wiping the sweat from his face and cupping his warm cheeks. He looked at you reverently, still breathing heavily as he awaited your response.
"You deserve the world." You kissed the corner of his mouth, then regretted the action as it was probably teasing to him in this state. "But you're intoxicated at the moment. I'm not going to do anything without your express consent." You told him gently, and he frowned.
"Oh, please..." He leaned to rest his forehead against your collar bone. "I'll always consent to your heavenly hands upon my body. Not that a nobody like me is deserving of telling a graceful harbinger of hope like you, 'no' in the first place. Even despite my feelings, my autonomy is yours. It always has been." He spoke into your shirt, and his eyes started to tear up.
Wow...that was kind of profound.
"So please...I beg of you...grant me your touch." He whined.
Nevermind.
You sighed, hugging Komaeda and putting a hand on the back of his head. You couldn't help but be sympathetic to his predicament.
But even still, there's no way you'd touch him or let him touch you inappropriately while he was in a state like this...especially not in direct view of all your classmates; whether they were drugged too or not.
You didn't doubt that Komaeda really did mean what he'd said. He probably wouldn't care if you tried to fuck him in his sleep for crying out loud. But it didn't matter if you thought he would consent. You needed his actual, verbal consent. And he couldn't give it to you when he was like this. He wasn't thinking straight.
"Mmmn." Komaeda let out a sound against your chest, which was either a whine of arousal or a grunt of discomfort.
Both, more than likely.
Despite his momentary rest against your chest, Komaeda wasn't able to sit still for long; he was so hard it hurt. And the involuntary twitching of his hips quickly led to more.
You gasped as Komaeda shifted closer to you, rubbing himself against your thigh. You simply looked at his red face for a moment in disbelief, but he didn't seem intent on stopping. Not caring at all that you were surrounded by your classmates, he humped your leg with increasing urgency as he chased an orgasm.
"K-Komaeda!" You whisper-shouted, not wanting to turn heads. "C-C'mon! Get a hold of yourself...!" You blushed furiously.
"Aghh...h-hah, my hope..." Komaeda moaned, but he slowed down to a more...hesitant grind against you.
With another call of his name, he stopped. Though he looked more aroused than ever. "Ahh...please my hope... I'm sorry... A-At least s-sit in my lap...? Please..." He was begging at this point, and he seemed too ashamed by his behavior to look at you, having his face buried in your neck.
You frowned, eyeing his shaking and sweaty form. There was no way he could support your weight on top of him right now. He could hardly even hold himself up.
"Ko..." You brushed a hand through his hair. "C'mon...can you try to calm down?"
He whimpered, wrapping his arms around your waist and pressing himself about as close to you as he could. "Can you...say it again? Oh...please." He panted into your hair.
"Huh?" You blinked. "...Ko?"
He gasped, rubbing himself against you again as the nickname left your lips.
The deep grind into your side caught you off guard. "Ah, Ko!" You said it again by accident, taken by surprise. "Wh-What are you doing?"
It was a dumb question, you knew exactly what he was doing--but you didn't know what else to say.
Komaeda whimpered, gripping you tightly and shaking violently against you as he came. You could feel him twitching through his thin uniform pants, and it didn't help that he was groaning directly into your ear.
Damn it...you were kind of in the mood now.
Determined to keep your composure, you determined it would be smartest to just let Komaeda finish, instead of shoving him off you.
With his last few slow grinds, he finished creaming his pants, and you put your hands on his shoulders.
"Hey, are you okay? Ko...?" You asked, only to realize that he was passed out.
Quickly turning to look at the rest of the class, nervous that anyone had seen or heard Komaeda literally cumming, you found that most of the others were passed out too.

Sdr2 characters and their ideal partner
Part 2; enjoy ^_^ I did thh characters as well . I don’t write for imposter and teruteru so they are not here
Mahiru doesn’t care too much what kinda personality you have, but she typically likes somebody who isn’t a pushover. Whatever that may entail, she doesn’t wanna be with somebody that’s overly passive.
Peko doesn’t care what kinda personality you have, you could be cruel on the outside, so long as she knows that deep down you have a kind heart, and you show it in small ways. She values kindness, even if you try to hide it.
Ibuki likes shy people, how you deal with this shyness doesn’t matter. If that means being timid, or being mean even, or just generally being awkward, it doesn’t matter! She finds shyness to be cute!
Hiyoko likes somebody that can protect and defend her, much like Mahiru. Hiyoko doesn’t wanna be stuck with somebody that constantly takes everybody else’s bullshit, and she’ll need your help when everyone else gangs up on her for smelling bad.
Mikan that’s people that are kind to her, but obviously her views on kindness are warped due to how she was treated her entire life. So to add onto that, she probably likes somebody who is upbeat, and is kind to everyone in general. She would start to like you based off the fact you’re the nicest person ever.
Nekomaru likes confidence, and likes somebody who’s tough and has a tough personality. It would obviously make him want to help you get even stronger, and he would find this to be attractive as well!
Gundham likes those that are.. well openly kind. He wasn’t treated with much kindness growing up, and if you’re extremely sweet, and compliment him often, he would appreciate it. He also likes honesty in a person.
Nagito likes optimistic people, it should be pretty obvious as to why this is the case. Optimistic people would definitely be considered more hopeful, and he’d also like somebody who’s very kind to him and is kind in general. Not many are kind to him, so the fact you’re nice to garbage like him must mean you’re a beacon of hope.
Chiaki likes shy people, for no particular reason. She just finds this to be a cute trait. She can be shy at times as well, and being with somebody who’s introverted like herself, will make her feel better about not always knowing what to say around you.
Sonia likes those that are confident, or at the very least come across as such. Those that are tough, and protective. To be the knight in her shining armor. She’d like you right away, because you just seem so big and strong!
Akane doesn’t care much for personality or anything, to be honest. Though she’d like somebody who’s pretty friendly with her, you could be shy, but so long as you’re comfortable enough to wrap your arms around her without hesitation, she feels comfortable with you. So long as you’re comfortable to tell her how you’re feeling, she’ll feel trusted.
Souda may seem like the type that may like people just for their looks, but he promises it’s more than that! He doesn’t have much confidence in himself so he’d like you a lot if you showed a lot of confidence in yourself, even if it was in a arrogant or egotistical way.
Fuyuhiko typically likes people that are quiet. Perhaps you’re like peko, or perhaps you’re just plain shy. In any event, he tends to like those that are quiet since he’s surrounded by chaos all day.
Hajime probably likes optimistic people the best, much like nagito. This is because he’s rather pessimistic and skeptical. He also values confidence in a person since he lacks it.

for the Carrie Ask how will Utsuro,Kizuna,Mitch,Nikei,Emma and Hajime react to blood prank on there Girlfriend by the bullies and witness her getting attack by her own mother
Carrie Ask part 3! Or 4, I honestly can’t remember-
I might not be able to post for a week or two, because I’m going on a class trip for a week, and gotta pack. Hope you guys understand, and enjoy!
Hajime Makunouchi:
He cheered the loudest by far when you won the title on Prom Queen. He was just so proud of you!!
He definitely wanted to pick you up and spin you around, but at the same time he was worried he might ruin your moment. In his eyes, you were practically glowing! (The one time he doesn't wear his sunglasses-)
Hajime recalls the first time he had won a boxing match, and how everyone had clapped for him. After being abandoned and left for dead, that kind of attention was eye opening, and he couldn't be happier that you were getting your own moment to shine.
When you're lighting up the room in one moment and become drenched in blood the next, he remains still in shock. He's frozen for a few seconds, but is immediately brought out of his trance as you let out so much as a sniffle.
Hajime isn't one to get violent, but he still yells at the bullies for what they did, before picking you up and storming out of the school. He assures you that even with the blood, you still look beautiful, and if there was anything you wanted to do to make up for what happened, he'd be happy to do it.
His face dropped when you asked him to drop you off at your mother's. She disliked him, but still treated you way worse. Giving you control of the music, Hajime takes the slowest route to your house, comforting you and trying to make your night somewhat better on the way.
Like a gentleman, he walks you to the door, but something in his gut tells him to stay with you. He didn't question it, knowing your mother probably wouldn't take well the fact that you were covered in blood. The feeling of impending doom remained even as you were in a completely different room. Hajime decided to trust his gut, trying to start a conversation with your mother to stay longer, but the knife is already in her hands.
Without thinking, he gets in front of you, and the knife slashes across his arm. Lifting his other hand, he knocks the knife out of her arm and it's over as fast as it began. He didn't mean to knock her out, but as a boxer, his strength surpassed that of your entire bloodline combined.
He still holds her down, and tells you to head back to his car and call the police. Hajime brushes off any attempt you have to treat him, mostly because he's still shaken up, and also because the pig's blood was still on you and he didn't want his wound to get infected from it.
The second your mother is placed in the police car out of your sight, and his wound is disinfected, Hajime doesn't hesitate to run over and hold you. He's still in a state of shock, unable to believe everything that happened tonight so suddenly... but you were okay. That was enough for him.
"It's okay, Y/n... I've got you...Everything's going to be okay. You're safe..."
You were shaking, but he whispered words of comfort. He doesn't want to leave your side, and if he wasn't sure enough already, he was now: Just as you had promised him, he would never abandon you.
Emma Magorobi:
She purposefully dressed down, as she wanted the night to be about you. She had to apply a bit of makeup to not be recognized, but still kept her contacts and hair for the security it gave her.
Instead, Emma insisted on giving you her most glamorous jewelry, and would help you pick out a dress if you asked. During the dance, she was approached by a few people who claimed she looked familiar, but being an actress, she could easily talk her way out of it.
As the Prom Queen crown was placed on your head, she happily clapped and smiled, but her eyes glistened with unshed tears of joy for you. Emma wanted nothing more than to walk up the stage and kiss you right there.
So you can imagine her fury as a group of bullies dumped a bucket of blood on you, turning the highlight of your night into a joke and laughing as you cried. She delivers a heavy slap to the leader of the bullies, before turning her attention to you.
Even her puns couldn't make you laugh. She called for her limo to pick the two of you up, and made a silent show of revealing her true identity as a crowd appeared in awe. She didn't care. These people intentionally hurt you.
She offers for you to spend the night at her mansion, she'd run you a rose petal bath to clean up, and the two of you could have a candlelit dinner. If you didn't like that, she'd be happy with snuggling up to you with some popcorn watching some of her films!
Emma felt a sense of dread when you requested to go back to your mother's. That woman just... reminded her so much of her biological father. She might not be using you as an ashtray, but she wasn't treating you like a person either.
But with what you just went through, she couldn't leave you alone, especially when, in her eyes, she did nothing to stop this from happening.
Emma tried to get along with your mother, she really did, but by god that woman was insufferable. She has tried acting out more personas than she could count. It didn't matter how polite she was, that woman still claimed that you both were influenced by the devil for liking other girls.
The second your mother touches the knife, her mind already goes to the worst. It was that same feeling whenever her father would take a final puff of a cigarette. Her nails are digging into her arms, and she's trying to hold herself together, but the moment your mother runs at you, she can't stop screaming.
Filled with a rush of fear and adrenaline, she shoves your mother away from you, and ends up knocking her out cold. The rest of the night is a blur, and the ghostly sensation of her flesh burning haunts her.
She's apologizing to her father, crying and begging him to give her more time, before you're able to wake her up. You held Emma close, the two of you were still at the police station, unable to go to Emma's place thanks to the paparazzi and press desperate to know the night's events. But that was okay. You had each other. And until the police would rip you apart to get your witness statements, that was exactly where you'd stay.
"Y/n... I love you so much dear..."
Mitch Higa:
"WOOOO! THAT'S MY GIRLFRIEND!"
He's so proud of you, and it's impossible for him not to smile at how happy you look. As much as he loved attention and the satisfaction of rejecting your bullies' requests for autographs, he was happy to see you have your own moment to shine. God knew you deserved it.
He thought to himself that he'd destroy anyone who gave you hell on your special night, but he didn't think it would actually happen. One moment you're the star of the dance, and the next, you're covered in blood and everyone is laughing.
Mitch doesn't waste a second, delivering a sucker punch to the bullies’ leader, and kicking the punch bowl to rain over the girl bullies' expensive dresses. People were recording and he was probably going to go viral over this, but fuck it.
It takes a lot to pull him away from the fight, and his pride doesn't allow him to admit defeat. The only way you talk him out of sending the kids to the hospital is by telling him that he could be arrested, which wouldn't look good for his record and hopes of being a professional soccer player.
It takes a while to convince him to drop you back off with your mother, as he won't stop telling you that she would only make your night worse. Mitch offers to take you out to dinner somewhere, but you point out the two of you were covered in blood.
Even when he's at your mom's place, he is still silently fuming at the events from the night, trying to discreetly hide that fact from you. When your own mother pulls a knife on you, the rage only grows, and he yells for you to run.
There's so many thoughts running through his head that he's not thinking clearly. Mitch watches you get away and almost gets stabbed himself, but being an athlete meant he was able to disarm her rather fast.
He locks her in a room in the house, only letting go of the door when the police arrive. After that, he doesn't let go of you. He doesn't have any more anger and annoyed comments to make. He was just so scared and exhausted.
Mitch would beg you to spend the night at his place. He just needed to see you, and wouldn't let you out of his sight. He withdrew himself from the public eye for a bit, which turned some heads, especially after the video of the prank and aftermath went viral, but he didn't care.
The two of you needed time to recover, and he'd do everything he could to make a better night for you.
Nikei Yomiuri:
When you won Prom Queen, he was smiling so wide that his mouth hurt-
Nikei was already brainstorming an article to brag about how amazing you were to spite your bullies, but when he turned to smirk at them, he realized they were smiling almost as wide as he was
He tries to brush it off, but he already knew that something's wrong.
Splash!
For the first few moments, Nikei was in complete shock. He didn't say anything, he didn't think, he didn't even breathe.
But then he did again, and every breath he took was used to scream obscenities at everyone and everything except for you. You'll have to forcefully drag him out of the school's gynasium, and pry him off whoever planned this prank. Nikei's not very strong, but he still gets some hits in before you pull him away.
"Y/N...! LEMME GO! THIS SON OF A BITCH!"
Even when the two of you are miles away from the school, he's still muttering about shoving their dogshit faces into a blender.
(In reality, he'll pull an all nighter to write articles to ruin their reputations, claiming,
"It's not slander or defamation if it's right!")
Nikei does NOT want to see your mother, who was obsessive even for him. However, he couldn't just leave you after what you experienced, and he feels a bit bad for not trying to cheer you up. He was still pissed, but he knew that didn't give him an excuse to ignore you.
His attempts to converse with your mother just make everything more awkward. Of course, when your mother pulls a knife on you, everything goes haywire. Nikei insists that the high pitched girly screaming was from you,
"AHHH! WHAT THE FUCK!?"
He grabs you a runs, knocking over a candle while trying to pull out his phone. He tells you to keep running as the house is set ablaze, and he frantically calls the police.
Nikei... doesn't know where to go from there. The two of you cling to each other for dear life, and he's never been more glad to get pig blood smeared all over his suit. It's disgusting, but a reminder that you're safe.
He ultimately decides to take you to Emma's and call the rest of Void, who would protect you like the family you now were. No matter what happens, the woman who called herself your mother would never see you again.
Kizuna Tomori:
Of course you'd be crowned queen, you were her girlfriend after all and you were gorgeous!
She was a bit jealous, but seeing you light up and nearly cry tears of joy made her evening better. She wasn't usually kind to her competition, but she loved you, and seeing you happy made her feel better in ways she couldn't explain.
Together, you two would rule this dance and wow the crowd! She thought to herself, imagining the two of you dancing together with your bullies dumbfounded. Kizuna grinned and wanted to see the look on those bastards faces.
...But why were they grinning, too?
By the time she saw the bucket, it was already too late. You're crying, and she's cursing them all out. One of the teachers has to forcefully pull her off of the head bully, her nails digging into his skin. She's still seething with rage, flipping them all off as she puts her other hand on your shoulder and leads you out.
Kizuna wants to comfort you, but she doesn't really know how. She's still angrily muttering to herself in the car, and wants to take you anywhere except your house. She offers for you to spend the night at her place, knowing her mother probably wouldn't mind, but you refuse, telling her that you just wanted to go home in a tone that made her heart ache.
Still slightly shaking, but not nearly as much as you, she hesitantly agrees to take you home.
Your mother hated Kizuna with a passion, and didn't even allow her to enter your house. She was disgusted by your girlfriend’s revealing clothing, and even when you assured her that she was past her man-manipulating behavior, she still forbid you from dating her.
Now, with Kizuna in a dress more revealing then ever, bringing your blood covered self into the house, your mother was about to attack her, thinking of her as the devil. Before she could lay a hand on your girlfriend, you stood up for her, claiming that none of it was her fault.
Your mother thought the devil was taking over you, and your girlfriend was nothing but a succubus servant. Kizuna knew your mother was delusional, and refrained from saying it to your face, but when your own mother pulled a knife on you, she screamed bloody murder.
"WHAT THE FUCK!? GET AWAY FROM Y/N YOU FREAK!"
You take a few slashes for her, and Kizuna grabs your arm and runs away with you for the second time that night. The two of you make it to her car, and she's shaking too much to start it. She can't believe what you much be feeling right now, and she's never been this scared...
She gives you her phone and yells for you to call the police as she drives away, but you're crying too much to do anything. She feels so frustrated... so mad about the way this night turned out.
When the two of you arrive at her house, she pounds on the door in tears, and Kizuna's mother can only look at the two of you in confusion. You were covered in blood, shaking and crying, while Kizuna, still holding onto you, collapses into her mother's arms sobbing for the first time in years.
Even after your mother is arrested, and your clothes have been changed, neither of you can stop crying, still clinging to each other for dear life and praying the other will never let go.
Utsuro:
When you were crowned queen of the dance, he felt more emotions than he had felt in a while...
Why? His luck probably played some part of it, as his luck always made dates with you better, but.... Something about the smile on your face and your genuine excitement made butterflies appear in his stomach
....Was he smiling too?
For a few moments, it felt like it was just the two of you there, and this world that had only ever used him for his luck seemed just a bit brighter. Utsuro hated parties, crowds, loud music, and attention, but tonight was the happiest he ever saw you, and one of the times he felt... fulfilled.
He didn't expect the prank in the slightest, as his luck should've at least made the bucket completely miss you. He steps back a bit in shock, his first thought being that he hoped you didn't think he willed this to happen.
As your classmates started mocking you, his shock turned to a feeling he could only describe as anger. It was odd.... He didn't usually feel like this towards people, but you and Akane were the only people he had in his life that loved him
He wills for every person who bullied you to get what they deserve. Whether it was getting them expelled from school or getting hit in the head with the bucket they used.
He flinched when you put your hand on his shoulder, quietly asking if the two of you could leave. Utsuro looked back at the bullies, who were still laughing and high-fiving over ruining your night
He's never had to take matters into his own hands before, but maybe tonight wouldn't be a bad time to start. He tells you to wait outside before grabbing the glass punch bowl and smashing it over the lead bully's head
His divine luck finally started to take effect when the bully tripped while chasing him, his body tripping his other friends and leading them to fall onto tables and decor. Watching the whole spectacle, Utsuro joined you outside and softly held your hand.
You leaned on him, putting your head on his shoulder. He was quiet when you cried a bit, and obliged when you asked him to bring you home. He was too occupied with the sudden and strange absence of his divine luck to even remember your terrible mother.
Utsuro didn't want to leave you, as you were one of the best things to happen to him. But your mother? The way she worshipped him triggered some bad memories, but when he went to leave, a gust of wind slammed the door shut, and a terrible storm occurred outside.
So not only did his divine luck refuse to save his S/o from a cruel prank, it also trapped him inside with his S/o's mother as you went to wash the blood off.
Great...
He leaned against the wall with his eyes closed, zoning out and just wanting the two of you to leave this night behind you. He didn't know how long he was like that, just wanting to ignore your mother, and somehow use his luck to make tonight better (Cause he had no idea how to do it himself)
Then he heard the screaming.
It was one of the first times Utsuro felt his heart drop. He started to run up the stairs, but he didn't need to, as you fell down them right in front of him, blood pouring from your back.
"...Y/n...?"
He put his hand over the wound, looking up to see your mother smiling, bloody knife in hand. Why was this happening? Why did he feel... so scared?
He hadn't felt this way since he realized the truth behind his own parents... and for this to happen to you tonight of all times.
You began to crawl, telling him to run. He could only look back down at you, your wound already beginning to heal, and shake his head. Utsuro pulls you up, his shoulder supporting your weight,  pulling you out of the house as your mother tripped down the stairs.
The entire building was set aflame the moment the two of you stepped out, curtesy of both Utsuro's luck and the dozens of candles littering the house.
He pulled your sobbing form to himself, still in a form of shock from the whole ordeal.
The two of you sat in front of the wreckage of your former home for a while. What started as one of the best nights either of you had ended in total chaos, Utsuro feeling more in a single night then he felt in years. He held you close.
Neither of you had anywhere to go. He wouldn't usually worry about shelter, but with his luck running haywire, he didn't know what to think. Akane was the only person he could think of for help.
"Utsuro...I'm so sorry..."
"....Don't be."
"Everything...the dance, my mom..."
He shook his head, "...I'm still here."
