i sooo agree about the icy backstory! i HATED the retcon, and the trix aren't sisters anymore?

I dislike Icy's S8 backstory, but I actually don't consider it a retcon. I know this is yet another topic that divides the fandom but I never took the Trix for being biological/blood sisters.

I think it depends a lot on which dub you watched, but I never considered them bio sisters, but rather sisters in a coven way. Covens of witches always refer to each other as sisters even if they aren't really. And there are some things about them being bio sisters the just wouldn't really make sense, for example the scene in S3 where they take a swim in the weeping-willow pond and come back as kids, and they don't recognise each other. Icy even tells Darcy "Your hair used to look like that!?" and Darcy says "Whatever, you look like a pixie!" or something lol.

Besides the coven thing, I think they call each other sisters because they are descended from Belladonna, Lysslis and Tharma who were indeed sisters. If each trix is a descendant of a singular sister, then it's impossible for them to be triplets/biological full siblings. But you know, through them they're still blood relatives in some way.

Anyway, I think this is one of those things that the creators kinda didn't have figured out themselves so they just sorta... left it up for interpretation.

Say ! What's your favorite fanfic you're working on ?? And do you have ideas for the next chapters ect ?

Of course it isn't bothering me!! I love talking about my fics!!! My fave fanfic is hands down Hyrule and Wild Have a Hard Time.

I have the whole thing generally plotted, but when I get to each chapter, I do more specific plotting and as I write it, even more things come up and get added to the story. My Master Outline document for the whole story has 18k words of outlines, random ideas, and random scenes (as well as some outline notes for the sequel). I love outlining. I was working on this story's outline and writing the first chapter (and rewriting it like 6 times 😅) for about 9 months before I published it. To say that "I have ideas for the next couple of chapters" is an understatement.

“I can smell it!” Hyrule exclaimed. “Fresh fish here we come!”

The river could provide them with fresh food to stock up their dwindling stores, they could bathe and wash their clothes and equipment, the river could offer them direction to find their way back to the rest of the Chain.

The trees thinned and the land sloped downward shallowly at first, then steeper until Hyrule and Wild were running recklessly toward the water. They broke free from the oppressive trees they’d been lost in for days and days and hopped from rock to rock through the muddy shoreline marsh to the sandy beach running along the river.

The putrid smell of decay stopped them short of jumping right into the water. All up and down both shores, dead and rotting fish and birds dotted the shoreline and floated on the surface. The reeds and cattails were wilting and yellowed. And the river water itself was dark and discolored, undoubtable from the infection plaguing the land.

The river was dead. It would not provide for them.

I have decided to roll with the elements of Icy's backstory we were given in s8 but I have moved them around a lot. Icy does come from Dyamond which used to be a colony of Domino but they fought for their independence and earned it. Icy was the Crown Princess (because we NEED witch royalty and Icy is very regal) coming from a line of witches. Her mother was the only one who did not have magic in their bloodline. Then the Shaman Witch attacked the royal family over an old blood feud and cursed Icy's little sister - Sapphire - to be a polar fox but she herself was neutralized after that. Icy was set on breaking the curse and every failure to do so outraged her to the point that she became a descendant of the Ancestral Witches (no one is born a descendant; people can turn into one via negative emotions running rampant). She managed to break the curse on Sapphire then but her sister never developed magic just like their mother. Icy sort of cut contact with her parents when she enrolled in Cloud Tower and her mother didn't attempt to bring her back home or at least keep in touch because she found Icy's temper too volatile for her to make a good queen and she turned her attention to Sapphire as her successor to the throne. Icy and Sapphire speak from time to time and Sapphire will make appearances in the storyline - she's the one that Pepe ends up with and she'll also be affected by Tritannus' mutation spell cast over the Magic Dimension making history repeat itself when Icy can't help turn her back into a human.

I AM ALWAYS THINKING ABOUT HOW DC HAS FAILED TIM AND DICKS RELATIONSHIP IN MODERN COMICS

Their relationship has kind of been on the rebound lately (Tim helping Dick in Bludhaven/Dick giving Tim advice about Bruce), but it's definitely not what it used to be 😩. It annoys me when I think about all the reasons why this is 😤.

It also annoys me when I think about all the missed opportunities they had to do something meaningful with Dick and Tim's relationship. The amnesia arc, for example. Tim never had a reaction to any of that which is just absurd. And DC doesn't realize that they threw away such a good opportunity to show Tim in a really vulnerable state during that time. They're so bad at realizing the potential they have to take a certain moment and to turn it into a sad and emotional story.

I can't believe Bakugo canonically hates rain now that's so sad

No because… he looks outside and is happy it’s sunny. He thinks things like “the weather is so nice” and “it’s a beautiful day.” He likes the way sunshine feels on his shoulders, and being in patches of light that warm his whole body up.

And when it rains he gets all grumpy and antsy and just wants to hole up inside. He wishes that the sun were out. I’m gonna kill myself.

Drop an unpopular trix opinion

This one came to mind immediately since I was just talking about it with some friends the other day, but I really can't get behind the head canon's that the trix have "real" names besides of Icy, Darcy and Stormy. Unless it serves a narrative purpose, who are we to say that the people of the Magic dimension don't name their children after their powers? It would make sense considering that the Winx are also named after their powers, but no one seems to give them alternate names.

I completely reject Icy's s8 backstory. I don't think this one's not massively unpopular, but nonetheless, I know some people feel strongly about it. I sincerely just don't understand why they had to make a Domino 2.0 when they could have let the trix have completely unique backstories that shed light on different experiences than what the Winx had already gone through

If Wars and Dark ever got together the townhouse would devolve into pure chaos within 24 hours.

Twilight is living in a tent out back, absolutely refusing to step back in even to use the bathroom. There’s perfectly good bushes that don’t whine and moan as they’re thrown over the bathroom counter out here, after all.

Sky is begging the castle staff to let him move in. Sunny is laughing at him but No, love, you don’t get it- they’re everywhere!!! Sky had to climb up to the second floor from the outside of the house- you don’t want to know what happened to the stairs-!

Hyrule is begging his director to let him work a quadrupole. He may be hallucinating demonic entities because of lack of sleep but that’s much better compared to what he could be seeing back home.

Legend is leaving increasingly deadly traps around the house to try to discourage them. It started with a few mouse traps in inconvenient places. But now it’s a full on Cold War between them. Both sides are stubborn, bitter, and willing to take it to the extreme. Dark hasn’t worn clothes since he got there (aside from what can be worn on his you-know-what) and Legend is tarring the bathroom floor.

Wind ordered a rope ladder to hang out his window so that he never needs to walk through the house. He uses the nearest cafe bathroom and Wars credit card for food. Is considering buying a house boat on their dime if nothing stops them soon.

Wild is crying and frantically disinfecting the kitchen counter for the tenth time that day. Please, guys, he’s so happy for you, but also he cooks here? He just wants to make breakfast? But now he’s sitting here at 4AM scrubbing the counters again. He can’t even make toast. Not after what they did to the toaster.

Four is walking around revving a chainsaw as both an announcement of his presence and a warning.

And Time is considering burning the whole house down. No, really. It’s the only way to be sure the demons are purged. And he could rebuild. He has the money. Maybe with one less bedroom this time, though.

Stormy tell us about rocks!!!!!

Time to break out the cool rocks box! Unfortunately I don't know anything about rocks so I can't tell you much but here are some cool rocks!

Some of my collection of flint stones. Flint is one of the kinds of rocks ancient peoples used to make stone tools like knives, scrapers, and arrowheads.

Rocks, shells, and rocks with shells. I found most of these on the west coast of the US. On some beaches, the sea cliffs and boulders are full of shells and shell fossils.

Rocks that are very holey/texture. I don't k ow what these are of where I found them.

Shiny rocks and crystals. Most of these were found in the western US (or bought at gift shops).
