listen i get that if you dig into aos its not necessarily brilliant But. They had the right idea of making it an alternate universe, so they could still do a prequel without affecting and therefore ruining the original content - it is a separate thing, even if its joined by the ending to spock prime story

thats why i love it bc its separate and doesnt change the original content. I think prequels suck sometimes bc they end up retconning shit that doesn't need it looking at you strange new worlds so yeah its good, if someone doesnt like aos they can ignore it as canon

my timephoon hot take is that the episode was literally fine, it's the episodes that came AFTER it that fucked things up

#the final confrontation where louie and della say that shit to eachother? peak televesion #the next episodes shouldve. yk. resolved that #but by having the premise be “the entire family is goign to disneyland and leaving louie behind” uh...? #i get what they were going for but they fumbled so hard #timephoon introduces a lot of conflicts that the next episodes SHOULD have resolved #but they didn't. at least not well #like della and louie should've had a proper conversation #and also i dont think della was wrong for steppin in at the end of timephoon like that was warranted #her wording and execution? far from perfect #but she's trying #also. timphoon was fine yes but it could have been way better still #i would have preffered it if they went more in depth about the struggles of motherhood and how beakley and della both felt about it #give me beakley being vulnerable and opening up about how hard its been raising webby alone and how she GETS it #she gets not knowing what to do #she was a spy #she has no idea how to be soft and motherly but she's learned and she's trying and she did it alone #and she doesn't want della to be as alone as she was so she tries to help #but she's a certified grizzled ex spy so fuck if she knows how to be gentle about it #so it just makes della MORE insecur because beakley seems to have it all together #and i wish there was a scene where they could talk to eachother and beakley could admit that she doesn't #she's made mistakes she's fucked up but she's trying and aren't they all? #but yeah. for what timephoon was #it wasn't bad #but the following episodes fumbled #i forget if it was in timephoon or next erpisode were we got della telling louie to shape up or he couldn't be part of the family #like again that was BAD! A huge reason I'm still going to the gym as frequently and working out as intensely as I can is because I think it would be iconic if I ever need to start using more visible aids while being buff as fuck. Plus, if an asshole is going to be ableist toward me, I'd have a convenient cane and convenient arm strength with which to use the cane.

Genuinely curious, did you actually read the chapter or are you someone that only keeps up with the series through leaks and/or twitter/tiktok summaries?

Gojo mistakenly believes that Miguel's build is how it is solely because he isn't Japanese (and is black) and Miguel goes on to correct him saying that is an untrue stereotype.

I'm not sure where you live, but I've definitely heard people claim that some athletes have an advantage due to their race, which isn't actually true, but it is a common misconception.

So yes, what Gojo says is based on a racist stereotype, but there is a big difference between saying something racist due to ignorance and saying something racist out of malice.

Gojo didn't realize what he was saying was incorrect and a racist stereotype and once Miguel educates him he immediately apologizes (something gojo is known for not often doing)

Also please don't hate on gege for including this. He is using this as an example to educate his audience. It may seem super obvious to more western audiences, but to japan that is a monoethic country its more understandable that people wouldnt know.

This is how I interpreted the scene in this chapter. If you think I got it wrong or missed something, please let me know :) I like to stay as informed and educated as possible and continuing to be open minded to different perspectives is important to me.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The USA is THE most ridiculous country in the world. Laws are made by people old enough to go into cardiac arrest after one sip of mcdonalds sprite, capitalism has absolutely destroyed the american economy, there are so little regulations in the food industry you could destroy a swamp's entire ecosystem by spilling one can of american coke into it, and a gun has more rights than a living, person with a uterus. They glorify a document made by slave owners 200 years ago, and those fucking slave owners even made it with the intention for it to be changed every few decades, but americans refused to do so. They scream about the 2nd amendment but don't understand what that amendment is even about at all. Don't think the founding fathers intended for people to be able to walk into schools with a fucking AR 15. There's a poverty crisis, and literally 50% of the country is one medical bill away from irreparable debt. Religious freedom is in the constitution, and yet christianity is forced down everyone's fucking throats. And now, abortions are banned.

People who need an abortion because they will die otherwise, are unable to. People who carry the child of the person who SA'd them, will be forced to carry it to term. Every baby that is gonna be forced to be carried to term, and ultimately be put up for adoption, is going to grow up in a flawed, underfunded system, and face many hardships they should not have to. People will go bankrupt caring for a child they did not want or ask for. Pro lifers say the child has a right to live. What about the right for them to eat? Sleep somewhere safe? Their right for healthcare? If this were truly about the children, they would be changing the foster care system, financially support the parents who were forced to have a baby but aren't able to handle childcare economically, or give even the most basic of human rights: free healthcare.

I despise the USA. I despise every single person that supported this backwards system. I pity every poor soul that did not ask to live in such a hellpit. Americans: your government has failed you too many times. If this doesn't radicalize you, I don't know what will.
