My son loves dandelions.

He picked one the other day and brought it to me, just the unbloomed, golden head, and said it was too cold outside for it. He wanted to bring it in so it would have a chance to live.

It matters to absolutely no one, but after 45 arduous minutes I finally (finally) nailed down the place in time for TWIU. By things I have referenced, technically it’s year x792. But based off the ages I have the characters and timelines based off those ages, if it’s x792, then the dragons didn’t disappear in x777, they disappeared in x771. (This is all assuming we go off the date Gajeel joins, x784, as our jump off point, which is where it is in my head because the start of the fic states Laxus was recently let back into Fairy Tail) 🙃

If we use the dragons leaving in x777 as the starting point, we’re in year like… x798… which is 5 years after the 100-year quest starts.

(And all this does factor in the 7 year Tenrou Island time skip, because that was a headache to remember lol)

Not that the fic is canon-compliant. I haven’t watched/read the series since the Tartarus Arc. It’s canon adjacent at best. But it took me forever to crunch numbers so I’m dumping this here for you all to witness (and probably in author’s notes when I post the next chapter because let’s be honest who else am I going to tell?)

Edit: the fic STARTS in March x791, which was a coincidence. I didn’t research that when I wrote it. Currently, in chapter 132, it’s September x792. Literally, no one cares but me. One person asked where it was in the timeline like 3 months ago and it’s bothered me ever since…

And like, you shouldn’t let strangers opinions on the internet bug you, and they bookmarked it so they like it? But wow that was a little demoralizing.

We made besoms and corn dollies yesterday for Lammas. I told my mom we made “earthy crafts”. Her response today:
