When You Become Numb To Abuse ~ 5D Earth is NOT Abusive

I was reading a post that crossed my path online, and it was a quote from someone that was as such 'she put herself in harms way, so deserved being raped' at what level, is the consciousness, the barbaric opinion, for this is not intelligence, these are low vibrational sexual degrading, human degrading, devaluing on matters not any persons situation - or how, why, where she walks, deserving of rape, (I have been raped) the ignorant and vacant man that wrote this; is the exact statement of someone not healed from their own inner sexual wounding;

Anyone stating such, and the constant energetic abuse, poking, pulling, taking, and in the video's I include in my post, are just a short, (10min) offering of what other empaths, conduits, psychic talents go through physically in being sent spears of negativity and darkness to stop, silence the truth-tellers, from simply 'being who we are' and speaking of truth to alter, transmute, heal the collective and then there are those that simply will present such disgust for human care in their own unhealing - and yet all suffer.

In your own unhealing, it affects the all.

In my timeline, making excuses for abuse, to say such things, 'we are to be together in tough times and good' when the drama, chaos, stealing, black magic, gang-stalking, group work behind the scenes, falsifying documents, fraud and calling your ideas, and content their own when they are not even aligned with spirit; and such is purposeful, intentional, malice, harm, harassment, criminal, discrimination;

Double standard, in which a woman is supposed to put up with men doing such degrading things, treating you as if you are simply a gas pump to keep taking from, while they run about town, and do the unthinkable, with any and all, then when she does step up and speak out, about the abuse, the abuse of power, systems, and information, energy, mental, emotional and spiritual abuse, while doing everything they can to block, veil, make sure the world doesn't see who I AM as light, so their games, schemes, plots, plans of siphoning my riches, my business, my content, my inspiration - while I, women get continually punished to not speak.

The abhorrent abuse is abuse.

I call those of the past (Calgary) and those connected to such false, deceitful games, intentions, false stories; cults, underground black magic, what you do will return - it is what you create

Or one would could heal - and see what life unfolds - tactics to continue such abusive games and then pretend to call what you do spiritual and stand before the people and call yourself a prophet - while is blatant abuse.

What level of human treatment and care when we not only create false narratives of deceit, manipulations, lies, and swaying voices, choices, energy, environments to work in their favour while the ones truly doing the work, being the light, get used, abused, and tossed aside; want to know how you do what you do, so they can play it off as their own; and then abuses you, send you black magic, trickery to play into 'I am the best, and I will take all your money and if you do say anything we will punish and gang stalk you'

These are the communities, those in your community and unfortunately family that refuse to heal their own wounds and only care about money, resources, and will do the most dastardly things to be seen as righteous and take all the money while being so.

As I have stated for over 5 years, my story is the same and remains unchanged; I was abused and more so when I began to seek divorce and every aspect of my life was abused, thrown energy of hate, discrimination, legal tom-foolery of less than minimal due diligence, slight of hands to protect the abhorrent community false elitist - for you must understand - anything they do have is from fraud; so it is not pure elitist. It Is not earned through genuine talent and good will then one cannot call themselves elite.

In my timeline, you will only be allowed in if you respect all life.

In my timeline, you will be allowed in to my space if you are able to live genuine and authentic and honours all life; no fakers, and false and those that think that rape, stalling blocking, damaging the truth speakers, healers, and light beings that want you to believe you are less than and deserving of great disgust for simply being yet the double standard men, steal, take, rape, pillage and call all else less than - tables are turning, the wheel is turning and I call judgment on those that continue to harm all life and never look within to heal the fucken' wounds.

If you are old enough to do, say, be such; you are mature enough to heal. Thus you are choosing to create chaos, harm, degrading for a pure and precious world and therefore, you will never be allowed in my space, life, or world, and timeline -

I get to choose who enters, and what leaves - grow up, mature and and when the taking is done; all you have is the chaos, damage you have used, and caused to others, while never saying a 'sorry' or returning what has been stolen; and there is never ever making right on the damage of my soul, spirit was done; on the years of siphoning, harvesting, hell in magic that was done; and still they project and want in to blame and harm me in the deserving of my abuse simply because I am calling the abusers what is truth;

None have power over who I am and who, what, when people come into my life; no person, no man, that does spell work, and warp, manipulate, deceive the people are not true earth leaders - and will be changed out - there is no man that will be in my life that does such, has people spy on them, does not use respectful ways of communication, and does everything under-handedness to take, get, make a plan, schemes, and simply weird and nefarious ways that they think are 'mysterious' and attractive; no it isn't. The past will never reopen.

Nobility is an energetic vibration - and it is simply through healing, through divine judgment of self, and honouring to heal - to serve self, serve life - that is nobility - it needs not to deceive, take, manipulated and stalk -

5D leadership is not 3D manipulation.

I will call you out - why? Because Source, Creation is saying 'time to wake up and heal' and you are responsible for this and I can not be around, or take it on; all energies will be sent back, for you to learn, see, grow into your own mirror; 8 million times offered; what you put out returns;

So sad and now all that have been in such victims, know you can move on from such cults of sex enslavement, human and innocent enslavement and will not be satisfied until you are in their enslavement and hell; misery loves company - say no and move on the heavens and God will support you always choosing you.

Create and treat another as you wish to be treated - it is not rocket science - those that think they are smarter than you and scheme, plan, stock pile your ideas, content, money made off of you and then degrade you to make you believe you are nothing without them; the most nastiest of narcism; subjugation, discrimination, double standards, racism for simply being you and never giving up on what is truth and what is false; regardless of the false titles and those that claim to be righteous and have your back; God is, Source is, and the energy and light of unseen will assure that truth will prevail!

And for those that do the stealing, taking, slight of hands, no business that you steal and take, will never bare fruit and will fall into the corruption you intend; that is simply universal laws showing you that are in new light, energy now; and our collective consciousness aches and will command for higher vibrational love, healing, creating - this is our planet - and enough abuse. I can’t see him dating anyone before the time skip, even if we got proof that he was interested into people (we all see the way he was looking when he was at the beach). But during this time, he was a teenager more over he already a family, people who he cared about. He just didn’t feel the need to add a significant other, he has his family, he had Toman.

Now I’m not saying that he wouldn’t date anyone when he was a teenager but he was so focused on Toman on his family than I can’t believe he got time to date someone, especially since he was busy kicking ass with his friends Baji.

But no matter if you met him during his teenage, after he left the juvenile prison or when he left prison. You’re going to need some patience with him. He has lived a lot of things. He is still a broken man who is this close of loosing his entire mind.

I believe that I first you would be the only one working on this relationship, I mean you would do the whole flirty thing and at first he’ll barley interact with you. He loves hugs whether he is the one who is been hugged of if you’re the one, either way he is fine as long as he gets close to you. Your warmth tends to relax him. He might even fall asleep if you’re stroking his hair or his neck (bonus point if you’re tracing the ink mark of his tattoo)

I feel like he loves kissing you too ? Like he just can’t stop kissing you ? He is an addict kisser. Like one day you were visiting him at the petshop dropping him a bento because you wanted to spoil your boyfriend. Even though he claimed to Chifuyu that he wasn’t tired 5min before you were here, suddenly he felt like he needs his 10min break. Guess who finds themselves being pushed against the wall as their boyfriends was kissing them deeply ? You. And he just didn’t kiss you once, no no that would be too simple, he will kiss you again and again one hand holding yours against the wall the other would be either on your cheek or on your neck. Good luck to find your breath after that. Believe me when I say that even when you were about to leave him so you could go back to school or whenever you were expected, Kazutora will take your hands in his to bring you against his chest to steal you a couple of kisses before finally leaving you.

I can see him as the type to sometimes grab both of your cheeks with his hand and then kiss you, again and again.

He jus loves being close to you, so when you two are out for a date or just because you got the chance to meet him while you were going home. Kazu won’t hesitate and hold your hand stroking it with his fingers.

Holding hand is a minimum for him to best honestly

If he could he’d rather spend all of his time in your arms humming your smell getting warmth against you. But he can’t, so he is going to appreciate every occasion he got to get you close to him.

Since you’re his significant other Kazutora will be extra protector when it came to you, not afraid of threatening anyone that might be a bother to you.

Also he is jealous, he knows he shouldn’t feel like this especially since you’re always giving so much love and attention. But he can’t help but feel insecure, he knows what he is capable of, he knows his past, he knows what he has done, he is not perfect and certainly does not deserve love coming from such a piece of heaven like you. Yeah there would be time when Kazutora might be sad, feel down, and even though he’ll work on it so you won’t see it (afraid that you might be disappointed and will leave him) but you can tell that he is not feeling well.

Please, hold him tightly, tell him you love him, reminds him of much you cared about him, show him that there is no reason for him to be afraid. He just needs reassurance that you are here for good and that one day he wouldn’t wake up without you by side.

I just feel like he loves sleeping next to you, just the thought of sharing the same bed as him and getting the chance of waking up with you next to him is just his definition of heaven.

I also feel like is a tease, not on Mikey’s level, but I feel like sometimes out of nowhere Kazu will tickle you or whispering you something just to get to see your face turning red and then chuckle.

He is also the type to always give you his sweatshirt/coat, you don’t even need to be cold, if he noticed that you had been looking at his cloth or if you just compliment it boom its around your shoulder. It can be a way to show his possessiveness, like everyone would know that you belong to him who knows ? At least you won’t be cold.

He also the type to lay down on your bed and look at you with a loving smile, whether you were sleeping or not he doesn’t stop him from slightly stroking your cheeks bone, your cheek or even your lips loving the feeling of his hand/finger on your skin. It’s so smooth and soft he just can’t help.

Sometimes especially when he is sleepy, he will whisper things into your ear, kiss your all over your face.

A sucker for worshiping (do it for himself too)

Also he is not afraid to tell you he loves you, he might be not the first one to confess but once he knows that you love him. « I love you y/n » would be the first thing you will hear while waking up also the last thing before sleeping.

I think he might like the thought of you styling his hair even if all you’ve done was putting some cute clips on his hair he likes it and will even let you take picture. He is a sucker for your smile

Buy him jewelry and he will never take them off especially ring or necklace he just loves seeing you marking your territory.

As I stated before he is probably the type to overthinking a lot, like one day if you didn’t give the smile you used to give him, he is 100% you’ll dump him at the end of the day. Sometimes it’s not as bad as that, like you called him by his last name to tease him, he’ll just pout at you and then give you kiss all over your and won’t stop until you called him either by his name or by a nickname. But yes sometimes if you’re acting a little bit too cold to him he’ll think that your relationship is over, and will start to panic no knowing what to do to keep you by his side.

That’s the think with Kazutora he loves you more than he loves himself so he knows as a fact that he will be lost without you (not the only one to be honest but that’s for another headcanon)

So obviously you’ll need to be careful but since you’re still a human keep in mind to check him after if you’ve done something that let him think you guys were over.

Also, I can picture him to sometimes disappear. Like no one know where he is, not even you. He never left for too long (worst case : he leaves for a day), but sometimes he feels like he needs to be alone, like really alone. So he isolated himself for everyone, no one will know where he left, what he has done. But when he came back he always got that peaceful smile, the one where is eyes got nothing but regrets in them.

You feel like he spent his time in front of Baji ans Shinichiro’s grave, cause even years after this incident he couldn’t forgive himself for what he’s done to them. He can’t forgive him. Since he is lucky to be alive, sometimes he needs to see them in order to give him some strength in order to stay alive.

All the time when he is zoning out, you know he is thinking about all the bad things he has done to the people he cares the most, and even though he is working hard to be a better person what was done can’t be undone. Again hold his hand, stroke his hair do whatever you can to help him staying safe and not falling into his old demons.

Protect him at all cost.

JJ walked into my room to check in and when she saw that I wasn't there she walked over to Morgan, "Do you know where y/n is, she's not in her room." Morgan put his drink down and started to look around knocking on the bathroom door.

"Y/n you in there", when he didn't hear a response he slowly started to open the door, he found an empty room. Emily went to Morgan we found her. He followed her and they went to Aarons room.

I had moved off the bed and onto the couch laying down. The team walked in and saw me, they let out a sigh. Aaron was sleeping but I was awake. JJ walked up to me, "Here." She handed me my discharge papers and Aarons. I grabbed his hand and shook his a little, "Hotch."

He woke up and I handed him the papers and a pen. We signed the papers and handed them back to JJ. "We're going home ok", he nodded and started grabbing his stuff. I went to my room and gathered everything. Aaron and I getting into the back seat of the SUV heading to the strip.

Everyone got to the jet and I sat next to the window. Aaron sat next to me, he laid his jacket on his lap. He grabbed my hand and held it tightly under the jacket so no one could see. I never looked at him but I interlaced our fingers; I kept staring out the window.

The team decided they were gonna give us some space so we could process everything. As the jet took off I saw the ground getting farther away and the city got smaller till it was just a spec. Without thinking I laid my head on Aarons shoulder he put his head on mine and we both went to sleep.

The team was looking out way they saw that I was on Aaron and he was on me. "What's up with them", Morgan said pointing at us. Everyone turned and started, "Are they together." Emily said.

Rossi was covering of us, "I mean they were together the whole time they were abducted, they're just friends." That seemed to get everyone off of us but they were still suspicious. Halfway though the flight with only hour left Aaron and I woke up.

We switched spots, he’s sitting by the window; I sat across his lap, my legs over his. I nestled my head in his chest, with his arms wrapped around me. When we landed everyone woke up and saw us cuddling. Emily took a few pictures then decided to wake us up; I fluttered my eyes open taking him Aarons smell I sighed.

JJ coughed and I looked up, "Comfortable." I looked down and patted Aaron on his chest getting up and they handed me my stuff.

When I was walking to the cars JJ walked up behind me, "You mind telling me what that was."

I shrugged my shoulders, "What was what?"

"Don't act dumb we all saw what you and Hotch were doing." I got into the back seat. "Yeah we were sleeping. Look while we were undercover we bonded. When we were kidnapped we became friends, Trust me that's all we are." She nodded and that's when Aaron got into the backseat with me. JJ started driving us home.

Aaron got dropped off first then me. When I walked into my apartment Aaron started calling me, I picked up. "Are you gonna come over."

"Yeah I just need to grab a few things and I'll be over." I hung up and got some clothes, went downstairs and got a cab. I got to his place and I knocked. I waited and then he opened the door. "Let me grab these", Aaron grabbed my bag and put it on the bed. I followed him into the bathroom and got undressed.

I let out a whimper and Aaron helped me with my shirt. I froze and stared at my back, "Y/n oh my god." Chris had traced over the scars and that was the first time Aaron got a good look at them. I had a large bruise on my ribs from when I was dragged and fell.

Aaron took off his clothes and I looked at his legs. From top the bottom there were dark red, bruised, and black lines running down to his feet. They weren't to deep the scars would probably fade in a few years but mine were layered they weren't going anywhere.

As were taking a shower washing, he ran his hand down my back. I was very aware of where his hands were and it made me flinch. "Are you okay, did I hurt you."

"No its just I feel the old wounds re-opening.. emotionally with my ex and as you know that's were he cut me too so...just do It genially and slowly okay." He nodded slowly running the body wash down my back.

I stepped out the shower drying off and putting on one of Aarons shirt; I climbed into bed. He followed after me only having boxers on. "Do we have work tomorrow", I whispered

"Yea but I'm think we take some personal days." I agreed, "We could spend some time with Jack."

"I just got to get him back from Hayley." I turned over and faced him, "You think they know about us." Aaron shook his head, "All they have is us together on the plane and you in my hospital room. They might suspect but they don't know anything."

"I only asked just JJ was trying to get some information out of me but... you're right they don't know."

I let out a breath and my head sunk into the pillow nd his hand resting on my waist. "I know you said you didn't wanna talk about it but... If we are going to be with Jack tomorrow don't you think he should know that his uncle passed away."

He stiffened, "I will tell him but he passed, what is It a week ago two.. I don't even know anymore. I need to take to someone about the funeral." Aaron pinched the bridge of his nose. "That's something I wanna worry about tomorrow after I'm well rested; can we just go to bed please?"

I nodded and turned off the light and laid back down. There was a knock at the door, we both got up and answered it to see Rossi. He handed Aaron one of his suitcases. "Figured you wouldn't be in tomorrow so I just brought it now."

"Thanks Dave", I was standing behind Aaron. Dave looked at the both of us, "Goodnight guys." He walked away to his car chuckling. Aaron shit the door and we started laughing.

I tugged on his arm and we went back to sleep actually going to sleep this time.

I woke up feeling Aarons breath on the back of my neck. I stretched out and felt kissing on my shoulder blade, "Have you talked to Hayley about Jack." I yawned out.

"Yeah she said she'd drop him off around 10." I looked at the time, there was an hour before he would be here. Getting up and going to the bathroom trying to drag Aaron with me.

"Come on come with me." I groaned as Aaron was refusing to leave the warm bed. "Fine", I walked into the bathroom; getting into the shower feeling the heating water on my skin. I heard the door open and close, "You decided to get off your ass and come with me?"

I chuckled and he cracked a smile still being groggy, "The bed didn't feel the same without you." He said kissing up my neck and jaw. He slowly pecked my cheek and pecked my lips. Pressing our bodies together, I raised my hand to his hair slightly pulling. He lightly groan into my mouth, his hand ran from my hips to my waist. He was trying to avoid the slices on my back.

Pulling away from the kiss we stared at each other for what seemed like hours. He brought my hand to his mouth kissing my hand, "I love you."

"I love you", I turned his around washing his back. I was careful when I got to his legs trying to not go over his stitches roughly. He washed me after him and we turned off the shower. We were both awake Aaron having the energy to put on clothes. I went into the closet and grabbed his brown quarter zip.

"You can keep that if you want", I looked at him. "At least now I got your permission I was just gonna steal it and hope you never noticed", he chuckled walking over to and gave me a tight hug.

When we finished getting ready it was 9:30. Going into the kitchen and making breakfast. There was knock on the door, "Y/n you get it, she's gonna have to know eventually."

"And what if she kills me." He didn't look very amused but still chuckled, "Ha ha okay get the door."

Opening the door I was met with Jack walking to me hugging me legs. '"Hey buddy com one go inside to your dad", Hayley's brows were furrowed and her lips were curved downwards. "Who are you exactly", right as I was about to answer I was cut off by Aaron walking up behind me.

"She's my girlfriend", he put his arm around me pulling me close. Hayley scoffed, "So you have another whore to fuck is that right." I raised my eyebrows at her about to lay into her when Aaron slammed the door in her face.

I looked through the window and saw the speechless look on her face, "Stupid bitch." I walked back over to Aaron and Jack. "Dad what are we doing today?"

"Well me and y/n had a day yesterday so I'm thinking popcorn and some movies. Maybe depending on the direction the day go we can get some ice cream." Jack jumped up and ran to the couch putting on Disney plus. I selected a movie Jack had never seen before and put it on.

As Jack was watching Toy Story 4. "Oh Aaron I need cereal so were gonna need to go to the store."

"We can go after he's done", we both turned around attention to Jack who was almost knocked out on the couch. I turned the movie off early and carried his sleepy ass into the car. After I placed Jack into the car seat in the back I got in the passenger seat. As we were driving he woke up.

"Where are we going?", he was still drowsy. "Were going to the store bud", He hummed and stared out the window. We were in the store Aaron got a phone call, "How's your whore." He let out a sigh and I glanced at him.

I mouthed, 'who is that'. He turned the phone around and I saw Hayley's name. "Her name is y/n she's not a whore and she's fine, thank you for asking." Hayley dragged on the conversation asking questions about me.

After 10min the phone call ended and 10mins later I got a call from my neighbor. "Hello"

"Sorry to bother you y/n but there some woman smashing your care with a bat." I hit Aaron on the shoulder and he looks at me. I rush to check out and pay for my stuff running to the car and waiting for Aaron. When he opens the car I climb in, "We need to go."

"What is it?", I pulled up security footage that showed Hayley at my apartment. He watched as she was smashing my windows and denting the hood. He sped over to my house and we were there under 5min. Jack was still in the car and was watching his mom go destroy my car.

Aaron and I got out the car slamming the door, "What the fuck are you doing." I yelled at Hayley. Aaron ran over to her; grabbed the bat and pinned against the door of my car. "You're going to fucking answer her..."

Hayley had a grin on her face as she looked between Aaron and I. "Why are you with that stupid bitch", she spit at my feet. "You know you don't love her... she's just a quick fuck for you. You should be thanking me Aaron."

The words she spoke made my skin burn up. I wanted to punch the hell out of her. Aaron still held her both of us ignoring her. I called the police, they arriving shortly.

The cops got out their car, "What's the problem her ma'am." The cop walked up to me while his partner approached Hayley and Aaron. "I was at the store when I saw on my security camera this women destroying my car." The officer took Hayley cuffed her and put her in the back of the car.

Aaron came up to me and put his hand on my lower back; he saw me shaking and could hear the fear in my voice. That bitch really did go over the edge after finding out Aaron wouldn't go back to her. The fact that she decided to take action meant she was unhinged and could do physical harm to me.

"We need to go back to the station and you can file a report." I nodded and got back into the car with Jack and followed the police car. When we got to the station I pressed charges and files a restraining order.

Aaron got Jack for next few weeks as Hayley was deemed unfit for the time being. We went home after we situated everything. We decided against telling Jack what was going on and told him Hayley was going away for a while.

It was 9pm when we got home and I put Jack to bed. "Goodnight y/n", he closed his eyes and rolled over on his side. "Night buddy", I leaned down and kissed his temple. When I walked out his room Aaron was leaning against the wall in the hallway.

I stepped in front of him and wrapped my arms around his neck. His hands went my hips and he pecked my lips; I let out a sigh. "What are we gonna do about Hayley?"

"Right now nothing but I promise you we will deal with her okay", he kissed my forehead; grabbed my hand and we went to bad.

My thoughts were on Hayley the whole night, I couldn't go to sleep knowing she wouldn't drop it. Aaron slept soundly... while I tried to get my mind off of her. She'll probably try and kill me. Aarons ex's left because of Hayley but I'm not going anywhere. She's not gonna scare me off.

You draw canids/quadrupedal animals in general so well I am so inspired by your works. Do you have any suggestions or tips on how to get better at wolf/dog etc anatomy? I've always leaned towards anthro/humanoids BC they're easier for me to draw but I really wanna start getting better at drawing my 4 legged ocs

Thank you so much!! As for tips and suggestions I do have some! This ended up a little long but I hope these are helpful in some way!

For wolves and dogs in particular (bc I have most experience with them) they have a similar structure, things just sit slightly different sometimes depending on dog breed. For example, wolves hold their neck level with their back quite often, while dogs necks stand upright typically. When looking at your animal of choice you can take notes on aspects you are interested in or want to express in your art! You can do this for any animals, looking at the way they typically hold themselves and how things are placed, taking notes on the aspects you find important or read as the animal best to you. This is not to say anyone who doesn't follow these structure 'rules' is wrong or bad at art. I fully belive there is no wrong way to make art, and I myself don't follow these rules 100% all the time (this goes for all my tips). But if you want to include these things in your work for any reason, thats something I like to look into and take notes on!

Look at photos! You don't always have to trace photos, if you want to work off them just by sight you can! But tracing photos of the animal you are trying to draw can be a good way to explore the shapes and placement of things as well. My favourite method of this is less tracing and more finding the structure to use as a framework. For this you place circles for the head, shoulders, hips, and all the joints and use lines to connect them together. This shows where things are and gives a skeleton to build on or learn from! I don't condone stealing other people's art or images, but tracing photos can be very helpful for some people to learn (and of course proper credit should be given if you post it online).

Practise drawing the basic shapes of the animal in a variety of poses. This can give a good idea of how the basic shapes of the animal move and change depending on the pose, and if you can get a good idea of simple poses and how those shapes look you can build on top of those with other details!

Do a full page (or more if you're up for it) of quick gesture drawings/sketches! I use reference images for these as well. Get your references out where you can see them and begin doing quick and loose sketches! You can choose to focus on pose, movement, shapes, etc.. The trick to these is to not worry or get hung up on them looking 'good' or presentable. These are meant for practise and understanding certain elements of your subject matter! You can do these timed if you'd like, 1min/5min/10min intervals to challenge yourself depending on whats most comfortable for you. But you don't have to of course!

This one isn't always everyone's favourite but is very true: Practice a bunch! Its cliche but I got to drawing canines the way I do in large part by drawing them constantly. Even a bit of practise can help, you don't need to work yourself into the ground, in fact please don't! Doing some practice when you can is good no matter how much you do in one sitting, day, week, and so on.

As a final note, I know its hard to give yourself a hard time with art, especially when trying to do things you aren't used to or have never tried before. Patience is hard, but it does take time! Everyone's ability is different, so take it at your own pace, theres no wrong way to learn/paractise. Don't be afraid to make something you think isn't the best or you don't like, you're learning and what you made is still art in its own right! And if you find you want to try these tips, you're free to try them in a different way, use your own take on them, or change them up however you see fit. Not every method works for everyone so play around and see what suits you best! They aren't super specific, so I do hope they are still helpful in some way! I could always try doing a post more in depth about how I work on these things one day, but you are free to ask more questions too if needed! Good luck and have fun!!

James Maxwell TV/Film List

More of a guide than a recs list, because old tv/film depends so much on availability. It’s also hard as there’s nothing surviving that’s really like SotT for him (his voice is always slightly different, too & rarely the grand one from SotT) - I found it hard to find where to start back in the day, so I hope this makes it easier. However, I have starred my favourites (rated for JM content only).

I’ve divided things into categories and @jurijurijurious (or anyone) can make up their own mind as to what to go for. (Also @jurijurijurious I have NO idea what old telly you’ve already seen, so forgive me if I’m telling you things you already know.)

Where to find it: Luckily in the UK, it’s not too bad! Network Distributing are the DVD supplier to keep an eye on (they do great online sales), you can find secondhand things cheap on Amazon Marketplace & eBay, and several Freeview channels show old TV & film, especially Talking Pictures. I’ll note if things are on YT or Daily Motion, but they come and go all the time, so it’s always worth searching.

Film serials (ITC mainly)

British TV made on film in the US mode with transatlantic cash, so generally pretty light, episodic (continuity is almost unheard of) etc. Some turn up on ITV3 & 4 on a regular basis (colour eps).

*** Dangerman “A Date With Doris” (ITC 1964) James Maxwell is a British spy friend of Drake’s (Patrick MacGoohan) called Peter who gets framed for murder. Drake goes to Fake Cuba to rescue him by which time JM is dying from an infected wound and faints off every available surface, including the roof. It’s great. On YT. (The boxset is v pricey if you just want 2 eps.)

“Fair Exchange” (ITC 1964) JM is a German spy friend of Drake’s called Pieter who helps him out on a case. Not as gloriously hurt/comfort-y as the other, but it does have some excellent undercover dusting. (Why Patrick MacGoohan has JM clones all called variations on Peter dotted around the globeis a mystery.) On YT.

The Saint “The Inescapable Word” (ITC 1965) This is pretty terrible, but entertaining and James Maxwell plays the world’s most hopeless former-cop-turned-security guard. With bonus collapsing. On YT.

“The Art Collectors” (1967). JM is the villain of the week. It does include a v funny bit, though, where the Saint (Roger Moore) goes for JM’s fake hair (and who can blame him? How often I have felt the same!) This one’s in colour so should pop up on ITV3 or 4.

The Champions “The Silent Enemy” (ITC 1968). Surprisingly good JM content as the villain of the week who drugs sailors and steals their clothes before realising that maybe he should have worked out if he could operate a sub before he stole it.

The Protectors “The Bridge” (ITC 1974, 30 mins.) Not worth seeking out on its own, but ITV4 seems fond of it and James Maxwell gets to do some angsting and wears purple, so it’s worth snagging if you can, but too slight otherwise.

*** Thriller “Good Salary, Prospects, Free Coffin” (ITC 1975; 1hr 10mins, I think). James Maxwell moves in with Julian Glover and runs an overcomplicated murdery spy ring where they bicker a lot in between killing girls by advertisement and burying them in the back garden. What could possibly go wrong?? Anyway, it’s solid gold cheese, has bonus Julian Glover and a lot of natty knitwear. What more does an old telly fan want? (tw: Keith Barron being inexplicably the very meanest Thriller boyfriend.) On YT but tends to get taken down fast.

Films

Design for Loving (1962; comedy). Can be rented from the BFI online for £3.50. Isn’t that great or that bad (or that funny either), but does have JM as a dim layabout beatnik, which is atypical.

***The Traitors (1962). This is a low-key little 1hr long spy B-movie, but it’s also thoughtful and ambiguous with a nice 60s soundtrack and location work (it’s a bit New Wave-ish) and the central duo of JM and Patrick Allen are sweet and it all winds up with James Maxwell going in the swimming pool. One of the things where JM is actually American. (Talking Pictures show this occasionally & it is out on DVD as an extra on The Wind of Change.) The quality of the surviving film is not great, though.

***Girl on Approval (1962). A Rachel Roberts kitchen sink drama about a couple fostering a difficult teenager. It’s dated, but it’s also really interesting for a 1950s/60s slice of life (and very female-centric) & probably the only time on this list JM played an ordinary person.

***Otley (1969). Comedy that’s generally dated surprisingly well & is good fun, starring Tom Courtenay +cameos from what seems like the whole of British TV. JM is an incompetent red herring & there are more cardies and glasses as well as a random barometer.

Old Vic/Royal Exchange group productions

(Surviving works made by the group that JM was involved in from drama school to his death, made by Michael Elliott or Casper Wrede. I like them a lot mostly, but they are all slow and weird and earnest & not everybody’s cup of tea.)

Brand (BBC 1959). The BBC recording of the 59 Company’s (the name they were then using) landmark production, starring Patrick MacGoohan. This was a big deal in British theatre & launched the careers of everybody involved. It’s very relentless and weird but interesting & I’m glad they decided it was important enough to save. First fake beard alert of this post. It won’t be the last. On YT & there is a DVD, which is sometimes affordable and sometimes £500, depending on the time of day.

***Private Potter (1962). The original TV play is lost and this film has an extraneous storyline, but otherwise has most of the TV cast & gives a pretty good idea of why as a claustrophobic talky TV piece it made such an impact. Tom Courtenay is Private Potter, a soldier who claims to have had a vision of God during a mission & James Maxwell his CO who needs to decide what to do about this strange excuse for disobeying orders. Tw: fake eyebrows (!) and moustaches. Only available on YT.

[???]One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovitch (1970). Again, no DVD release (no idea why), but it is on YT. I haven’t seen this yet, but it’s another Casper Wrede effort starring Tom Courtenay and apparently JM is especially good in it. (I’m just not good at watching long things on YT and keep hoping for a DVD or TV showing.)

Ransom (1974). A more commercial effort starring Sean Connery & Ian McShane; it gets slated as not being a good action movie, but is clearly meant to be more thinky and political with the edge of a thriller. JM’s part isn’t large but Casper Wrede shoots his friend beautifully, & it’s a pretty decent film with nice cinematography, shot in Norway, as was One Day. I liked it.

Cardboard TV (the best bit, obv)

One-off plays etc./mini-series

Out of the Unknown “The Dead Planet” Adaptation of an Asimov short story; this is very good for JM, but hard to get hold of unless you want the boxset. I think someone has some of the eps on Daily Motion. (His other OotU ep is sadly burninated.)

The Portrait of a Lady (BBC 1968). Adaptation of the novel; JM is Gilbert Osmond, so it is great for JM in quantity and his performance, but depends how you feel about him being skeevy in truly appalling facial hair. Do the bow ties and hand-holding make up for it? but he’s in 5 whole episodes, and Suzanne Neve, faced with Richard Chamberlain, Edward Fox, and Ed Bishop as suitors, chooses instead to marry the worst possible James Maxwell. Relatable. XD

***Dracula (ITV 1968, part of Mystery & Imagination). JM is Dr Seward, fainty snowflake of vampire hunters, who falls over, sobs and can’t cope for most of the 1 hr 20 mins. More facial hair, but not as offensive as last time. Suzanne Neve is back again, although now JM is nice, she’s married Corin Redgrave, who’s more into Denholm Elliott. Anyway, I love this so much because it turned out that I love Dracula as well as shaky old TV with people I like in getting to fight vampires and all be shippy. Good news - TP keep showing M&I, the DVD is out, and there are two versions of it up on YT.

The Prison (Armchair Cinema 1974). This is the one with Lincoln in it, but it’s not that great & JM isn’t in it that much, so depends how curious you are for the modern AU! (But my Euston films allergy is worse than my ITC allergy, and I watched this when very unwell, so I may have been unfair.)

Crown Court “Fitton vs. Pusey” (1973) - part of the Crown Court series, set in a town full of clones who all keep returning to court. JM is on trial for his behaviour in (the Korean war? I forget?) although he ought to be on trial for his terrible moustache. It’s not that great, but it is nice JM content. He probably did it, but for reasons, and he wibbles & panics whenever his wife leaves the courtroom. Also on YT.

*** Raffles “The Amateur Cracksman” (ITV 1975) - He is Inspector Mckenzie in the Raffles pilot & is a lot of fun. At one point when there was a Raffles fandom someone in it claimed he was too gay for Raffles, which I’m still laughing about, because Raffles. Anyway, watch out if you try to get the DVD because it is NOT included in S1, whatever lies Amazon tells. It is up somewhere online, though, I think.

Bognor “Unbecoming Habits” (1981). Some down marks for possibly the worst 80s theme & incidiental music ever, but fun & has been shown on Talking Pictures lately. JM is an Abbot running a honey-making friary that is actually a hotbed of spies, murder, gay sex and squash playing. This is the point at which he chooses to strip off on screen for the first time, because strong squash-playing abbots do that kind of thing apparently.

Guest of the week in ongoing series/serials

Since even series with a lot of continuity tended to write episodes as self-contained plays (like SotT), these are usually accessible on their own.

Manhunt “Death Wish” (1970). This is one of the most serialised shows here, but this episode is still fairly contained. WWII drama about three Resistance agents on the run across France. JM is... a Nazi agent & former academic trying to break an old friend (one of the series’ three leads, Peter Barkworth) with kindness, possibly?? (Manhunt is very angry and psychological & dark and obv. comes with major WWII warnings (& more if you want to try the whole thing), but it’s also v good.) Up on YT, I think.

Doomwatch “The Iron Doctor” (BBC S2 1971). “Doomwatch” is the nickname of a gov’t dept led by Dr Spencer Quist that investigates new scientific projects for abuse/corruption/things that might cause fish to make men infertile etc. etc. JM is a surgeon who comes to their attention because he’s a bit too in love with his computer for the comfort of one of his more junior colleagues. (I think it’s perfectly comprehensible & a nice guest turn, but it is hard to get hold of outside of the series DVD. Which, being a cult TV person, I loved a lot anyway, but YMMV!)

***Hadleigh “The Caper” (S3 1973). Hadleigh is a very middle of the road show, but watchable enough (lead is Gerald Harper, who’s always entertaining) and this is pretty self-contained as it centres around an old con-man friend (JM) of Hadleigh’s manservant causing trouble by pretending to be Gerald Harper, for reasons. JM seems to be having a ball.

Justice 2 episodes, S3 1974. He guests twice as an opposing barrister & gets to be part of some nice showdown court scenes. Again, a middle of the road drama, but stars Margaret Lockwood, who was still just as awesome in the 1970s as she was in the 1930s & 40s. On YT.

Father Brown “The Curse of the Golden Cross” (1974). JM is an American archaeologist getting death threats; stars Kenneth More as Father Brown. Just a note, though, that 1970s TV adaptations tended to be really really faithful and this is one of the stories where Chesterton comes out with an anti-semitic moment... (JM was unconscious for that bit and, frankly, I envied him.) But otherwise lots of angsting in yet another fake moustache about someone trying to kill him.

The Hanged Man “The Bridge Maker” (1975). Confession time, I have v little idea what this one was about apart from Ray Smith being an unlikely Eastern European dictator, as this whole series went over my head and was not really my thing. (Ask @mariocki they’re cleverer than me and liked it & can probably explain the plot!) I don’t know if it’s available anywhere off the DVD but on a JM scale it was v good/different as he was a coldly villainous head of security & it wouldn’t be too bad to watch alone, but there was an overarching plot going on somewhere.

Doctor Who “Underworld” (1978). This is famously one of the worst serials in the whole of classic Who, but largely because of behind-the-scenes circumstances, not the guest cast. There is some nice stuff, though, esp in Ep1 (JM is a near-immortal alien who’d like to lay down and die but still the Quest is the Quest as they say... a lot) & it’s bound to pop up on YT or Daily Motion. The DVD has extras that include v v brief bits of JM speaking in his actual real accent (which he otherwise does in NONE of these) & making jokes in character. Honestly, though, this is the only DW where the behind-the-scenes doc is genuinely the most exciting bit as they desperately invented whole new technologies & methods of working to bring us this serial, and then everybody wished they hadn’t.

*** Enemy at the Door “Treason” (LWT 1978). This is a weird episode but I love it lots - from a (v v good) series about the occupation of the Channel Islands. (So obv warnings for WWII & Nazis.) JM is a visiting German Generalmajor, but he’s come for a very unusual reason - to ask for help from his brother-in-law, a blackballed British army officer (Joss Ackland). It’s all weird and low key and JM is doomed and nevertheless probably my favourite thing of his that isn’t SotT.

* The Racing Game 2 eps (1979). Adaptation of Dick Francis’s first Sid Halley novel Odds Against (ep1) + 5 original stories for the series. This is an interesting one - JM plays Sid’s father-in-law & they have a lovely relationship that’s central to the book BUT Dick Francis loved this adaptation and Mike Gwilym who played Sid and was inspired to write a sequel Whip Hand, which he tied in with TV canon - and adopted at least three of the cast, including JM. Which means that all the Sid & Charles fanfic is also JM fic by default and it’s quite impressive. (There’s not much but it’s GOOD.) On YT.

Bergerac “Treasure Hunt” (1981). Not a major role, but pretty nice & it’s one a Christmas ep of the detective show (also set on the Channel Islands) that involved Liza Goddard’s cat burglar, which was always the best bit of Bergerac.

His guest spots in Rumpole of the Bailey (1991) “Rumpole a la Carte” and Dr Finlay (1994) are both really just cameos, but both series come round on Freeview; the Rumpole one is funny and the Dr Finlay one his last screen appearance before his death the following year.

Not worth getting just for JM: Subway in the Sky; Bill Brand and Oppenheimer.

These films only have cameos but some quite fun ones and they come around on terrestrial TV: The Damned (1962), The Evil of Frankenstein (1964) & (more briefly) Far From the Madding Crowd (1967). (I think his cameo in Connecting Doors must be at least recognisable as someone spotted him in it just based off my gifs, but it’s not come my way yet.) I’ve never been able to get hold of any of his radio performances, not even the 1990s one.

ETA: I forgot The Power Game! This is the one surviving series where he occurs as a semi-regular (at least until halfway through S1 when he went off to the BBC to be in the now-burninated Hunchback of Notre Dame). This isn’t standalone, but it’s a good series and it is on YT. See how you go with crackly old TV before you brave it but it’s the snarkiest thing ever made about people making concrete and stabbing each other in the back. JM is a civil servant who tries to run the National Export Board and is plagued by Patrick Wymark and Clifford Evans as warring businessmen.

TIFU - Destroyed four relationships in a single selfish action

Bit of background;

In 2012/13, through social circles, I met a girl, and for the purpose of this TIFU, she will be referred to as R. She was always a bit of a bad girl, getting in trouble with the law, stealing, associating with gangs etc. I always thought she was a very cute girl but never thought anything more of it, and we were never very close. Just had mutual friends.Anyway, life goes on, and FFW to 2017, I'm catching the train home from work, and R gets on and sees me.

She smiles at me and comes to sit next to me. She was already attractive when I knew her in the past, but as she grew older, she got so much hotter too. But I have a girlfriend so I ignored those thoughts. For the rest of my train ride, we talk and catch up about everything. I smoke weed, so does she. She asked if I wanted to have a smoke with her, and I knew where this was going. I said I'd love to, but my girlfriend wouldn't really like it if I brought her over. So we organised to meet at my best friend B's house, and smoke there. Anyway, R and my best friend B have never met before, they get along like a house on fire, and within a week, they are dating. It becomes more serious, and they get into a relationship. This is B's first girlfriend. He was always very shy and quiet, and i could tell he loved her a lot. Throughout this time, my friends and I were planning the obligatory Euro-trip for festival season in Holland. Unfortunately through unforeseen circumstances, i had to pull out of the trip and all my mates went without me. R and I are both left in Australia while her boyfriend, my best mate and my other closest friends are all away in Europe having a ball. We started hanging out everyday, and seeing as she was unemployed and broke, I even got her a casual role at my work. So we were spending quite a lot of time together. The tension started building more and more, and we began going to bars after work, getting quite drunk and high, and heavily flirting with one another. Touching, sly comments, innuendos etc. Lust was driving me fucking crazy. I wanted to fuck her brains out and I knew she wanted the same thing. One night, we got extra drunk and stoned, inhibitions went out the window and we fucked like rabbits three times that night, It was everything I wanted, she fucked like a pornstar on MDMA, and was literally dripping wet. But, the next day, reality sunk in, and I felt like shit. we agreed to bury the secret deep. Boys come back from overseas, they're none the wiser. But her guilt is eating at her. Me too. My best friend of over 10+yrs and I stabbed him in the back for one night of sex. After that day I basically ignored R as much as possible without raising red flags, and did everything I could for B. Buying him food, weed, tickets, helping him renovate. Everything I could do, because I felt so shit.

One day about four months later, she cracked. I was at work, and R rang me to say she had just admitted the truth to B and B was expecting me to call him. I was paralyzed in fear, but called him. I was expecting death threats and for him to come and beat me up, which I would have much preferred, than hearing B say, "I have absolutely no respect for you. You were my best friend and you fucking killed me. You're nothing to me, you worthless snake, you are below the scum on my shoe. You have 10min to call A (My girlfriend) and tell her the truth or I will do it for you" So i called my girlfriend of 3yrs, and broke her heart over the phone. In that one day, I lost my best friend, my girlfriend broke up with me, B broke up with R, my girlfriend and R were good friends so that went to shit as well, and my entire circle of friends basically abandoned me. Which i dont blame them for at all. Ultimate dog act. Lowest of the Low. Just for some pussy. FML.

2019 - Still have not spoken to B since. My apology would not mean shit, so I dont expect him to accept it at all, and I have sent him a couple of happy birthday and NYE messages but I stopped doing that. He just left them on read, so I was probably making his day shit, by reminding him of what happened on what is supposed to be a celebratory day.

TL;DR - I fucked my closest friend's girl while he was overseas, lied about it for 4 months, and when the truth came out, I lost my best mate, my girlfriend, and all my other mates from that circle.

1/10 - Vung Tau to Mui Ne

So I didn’t do a post yesterday, that’s pretty much due to me spending the day doing nothing other than book my bus for today, drink a little with the people at the hostel and do a couple of hours of my TEFL course. It rained mid morning and that was enough excuse to do nothing. I had a nice catch up with my Mez Bez and ate two pots of instant noodles so you’re all upto date for yesterday’s activities.

This morning I had set my alarm for 05:45 to get up and do my last bit of packing for my bus that was arriving at 06:30 for a 4.5hr drive to Mui Ne. Just before my alarm went off I had a knock at my door from the night security guy telling me the bus would be here at 6. Bloody hell, I had 15mins to open my eyes the other 50%, pack my shower stuff I definitely wasn’t about to use and general shite lying around like chargers, pjs and insect repellent.

This time my small rucksack had 1 plimsoll with my deodorant stuffed in it and my make up bag, I’m losing at the big rucksack jenga arrangement.

I ran down at 05:57 to pay my bill and go for one last wee as I wasn’t sure if the bus would be stopping. The little mini bus arrived at 06:20 😐 so I had a nice chat with the security guard and he helped me with my stuff onto the mini bus I’d been told was taking me to Mui Ne. To my surprise we stopped off 10mins later which I thought was to let people off until I saw someone carry my big rucksack onto a coach. The girl I was next to nudged me to get off so I followed my rucksack and pointed at the coach door to the driver and he gave me the thumbs up so I just got on, I couldn’t really do much else and everyone was smiling so I went along with it. I got told off as soon as I boarded for not putting my flip flops in the carrier bag that was thrust upon me, and later on when we had a toilet break told off for wearing them rather than a pair of sliders from a big box of athletes foot that was supplied. It was a sleeper coach so all of the seats were like very reclined aeroplane seats with cubby holes for your feet. I wasn’t sure I’d fit through the very narrow aisle but I followed the guy down and catapulted myself into this little nest and he popped my rucksack alongside my legs and we set off.

I was about 30cm away from an Indian guy on my left who must have been commuting and I’m not sure if his headphones weren’t connected to his iPad or what but I had the pleasure of listening to some of his favourite hits for a long while whilst he napped, also every time we turned left his phone slid off of his little table into the aisle and I had to put it back on his iPad scared that he’d wake up and think I was trying to steal it, I ended up hoping we’d take a sharp right and it would be someone else’s problem.

I fell asleep and when I woke up I checked google maps and saw we were close to Mui Ne and the Indian guy was gone so they were obviously dropping people off. I made eye contact with the bus assistant and showed him my hotel address and he gave me a thumbs up. Unfortunately there are 3 or maybe 4 hotels under the same group in Mui Ne and once he told me to get off I found that I was at a different hotel to the one I’d booked. Again I checked google maps and found I was 20mins walk away and it was midday, it was 29 degrees and I had that toddler equivalent on my back, I checked grab and only motorbike taxis were available so I decided to walk it, for 30 seconds until I saw a taxi driving towards me waving. The hotel is called Mui Ne Hills and that’s for a reason. I’d read reviews about the hill but I thought that 300metres is nothing really, and it isn’t, until you have the weight of a 2 yr old on your back, probably a 1 yr old on your front and a 2 litre bottle of water in your hand. I was sweaty as hell when I got to reception and I was an hour and a half early to check in.

I dropped my bags in the check in area and went for a smoke and a guy who started working at the hostel today asked if he could speak to me and practice his English, no problem, he was nice and invited me to visit his family’s farm where they grow dragonfruit. We chatted for an hour or so and he learned some new English words and I showed him English money that he hadn’t seen before.

Once I checked in I charged my phone etc, sapped up the air con and then headed down to the pool. I was sat alone for a bit until the Vietnamese guy came over again, we chatted for a while and a downpour started. A couple of friends from Holland joined us and we all got to know eachother which was cool, They had met on a travel buddy website a month previous so we did the now usual conversation of ‘how long’, ‘where have you been’ ‘where’s next on your list’ conversation. This took us up until 5ish which is when the hostel activities started. First was a pool pillow fight which was the most entertaining thing I’ve seen in a long time, the guys were especially good as they clung on to the pole for so long!

The winner shared his beer tower with us so I made a few more Dutch friends which was nice. This is the Vietnamese guy and the Dutch guy competing, the Dutch guy won in the end -

Next up was flip cup where you go down the line, drink your beer and then have to flip your cup upright from the edge of the table and it goes down the line in a race.

After this me and the girl from Holland got a pizza from the restaurant and got chatting to a couple who have been honeymooning for 4 months already, they were great and so friendly. I needed to shower so said I’d catch them at beer pong. There was a quiz about to start but I was greasy as hell and needed a freshen up. I did actually only miss about 10mins of the quiz and when I got back down I joined the honeymooners, a new couple from America and a guy from Australia and we came 3rd in the quiz. One of my redeeming answers was to a riddle - what travels the world but stays in one corner???

After the quiz it was time for beer pong, There were teams of 2 and I was with the Australian guy. We were shit, absolutely shit, our game lasted around 45mins and they had to bend the rules for us and our opponents just so the game finished. I had got the winning shot but anyone who plays the redemption rule, well, what a crap rule, so we were out of the tournament. I think I’m so used to playing on whoever’s garden table that’s available that I was not equipped for a full length beer pong table. Especially embarrassing after bigging myself up as a good player.

The beer pong started at 9:30pm and I’m writing this at 3am. We played ring of fire (ring of death as the Dutch call it) so things got a little messy whilst the tournament was still going on. The honeymooners ended up winning which was nice but when they started offering out shots of rum from the bottle they’d won I decided to call it a night, I was supposed to be going on a sand dune tour at 04:30 to watch the sunrise...

I’m looking forward to seeing everyone at the pool tomorrow and seeing how everyone’s feeling, I’ll probably take it easy tomorrow and book that jeep safari for the following morning to get something productive done.

Bernardeschi Steals Show From Ronaldo on Opening Day

Round 1 - 22 August, 2018

The new Serie A season is finally underway amidst the usual silliness that surrounds Italian football. Juve’s signing of Cristiano Ronaldo has overshadowed controversy that never seems to be too far away from clubs on the peninsula; from Parma’s Whatsapp scandal to Chievo’s fictitious inflation of player values. There were some positives for Azzurri hopefuls, however.

Chievo-Juventus 2-3

It was supposed to be the Ronaldo show as the CR7 circus made it’s debut in Serie A. While the superstar did play well, it was Azzurri winger Federico Bernardeschi who scored a late winner to save Bianconeri blushes against a Chievo team tipped for relegation (admittedly by me). The ex-Fiorentina man made it clear during the off-season that he aspires to take his tally up a notch, after last season’s disappointment of getting injured just as he was hitting form. The skillful Italy international couldn’t have asked for a better start then.

The game was also notable for the contentious return to the black and white for Bonucci and the former favorite was involved in in Juve’s second which went down officially as an own-goal. Chiellini was the only other Italian for Juve as there was sadly no space for Daniele Rugani. Chievo youngster and Under 21 international, Fabio Depaoli played the full 90mins and held his own against the champs. Former Italy international Giaccherini was on hand to convert a penalty against his old club.

Lazio-Napoli 1-2

There may not have been many Italians showcased during this South-Central clash, but the few present made their presence significant. Capocannoniere Ciro Immobile turned and tortured 3 Napoli defenders (Koulibaly, Albiol, Mario Rui) in one move to arguably score the goal of the week. Ancelotti’s winning return was inspired by Insigne as the local boy was involved in most of Napoli’s adventures forward; ultimately popping up to score the winner in trademark fashion - from the left and curled into the right corner.

Torino-Roma 0-1

Toro’s Italian contingent was unlucky to come away empty handed from their opener against Roma. Belotti, Baselli, and Sirigu all had decent games despite Dzeko’s late winner. Roberto Soriano also made a late appearance to mark his return to Italian football. For Roma, Cristante did well coming off the bench and Florenzi was solid for the full game. De Rossi and El Shaarawy were below their usual standards.

Bologna-SPAL 0-1

SPAL earned an impressive away win in this early derby with Bologna with young, bulky Andrea Petagna playing the full 90mins up front. The striker is on loan from Atalanta and should have more faith and playing time this term, giving him the opportunity to dispel criticism that he doesn’t score enough. Filippo Inzaghi brought Riccardo Orsolini on with just over 10mins to play, but the talented forward wasn’t able to make an impact.

Empoli-Cagliari 2-0

The newly-promoted Tuscans got off to a strong start with a win over a side they’ll likely be battling against for survival. Former Crotone midfielder, Leonardo Capezzi, played a full game and the 23yo impressed, in contrast to Antonio La Gumina up front who will need time to build confidence. Cragno, Romagna, Barella, and Cerri (off the bench) were the young Azzurri hopefuls to get a run this game, all putting in an average performance that was consistent with the rest of their teammates. Coach Maran, not exactly revered for his youth development, looks like he still has some work to do.

Parma-Udinese 2-2

On their return to Serie A, Parma started with new signing Alberto Grassi; a player who’s featured prominently at Italian youth level. The midfielder was taken off 66mins into a sufficient shift. On the opposite side, Rolando Mandragora, fared slightly better as he saw out the 90mins. His Under 21 teammate, Simone Scuffet, made a surprising start in goal, but was again unconvincing as his lack of confidence looks to have followed him into the new season.

Sassuolo-Inter 1-0

In the biggest shock of the first round, Domenico Berardi slotted home from the penalty spot, prompting many to rethink Inter’s status as the anti-Juve. It’s early days for that, although Berardi will be overjoyed to already be off the mark as he looks to steer his career back on track. He ensured his goal was accompanied by a strong performance with the forward causing headaches for Inter’s Dalbert. Federico (son of Eusebio) Di Francesco also worked hard on his Sassuolo debut and Stefano Sensi did well off the bench. There wasn’t much to smile about for any of Inter’s Italians as both D’Ambrosio and Politano were below average.

Atalanta-Frosinone 4-0

The Orobici are dropping a lot of hints that they’re serious about repeating the positive 2 seasons they’ve had; despite Gasperini lamenting about the lack of ready (quality) players brought in by the board. They swept 4 goals past their former keeper, Marco Sportiello, who could do very little to stop them in the Frosinone goal. In the opposite goal, part-time rapper Pierluigi Gollini kept a clean sheet and youngster Matteo Pessina came off the bench for the last 10mins. Off the opposing bench, Moreno Longo rolled the dice on 2 youngsters for the last 10mins, but Andrea Pinamonti and Luca Matarese could do little more than witness Atalanta’s 4th goal of the evening.

Sampdoria-Fiorentina and Milan-Genoa

Both Genovese teams were exempt from playing due to the tragic collapse of the Ponte Morandi bridge. The games have been rescheduled for September 19 and October 31.

Stop Signs Shoot: Challenges & Overcoming them

There’s one thing we’ve all taken from our shoot....

“HINDSIGHT IS A BEAUTIFUL THING”

Having our first shoot of 2021, as an outdoor 3-day adventure complete with a mile journey from our production base at the Loch Cottage was.... ambitious, and I am so thankful to have been part of the most resilient crew going. Despite all the minor (and major) things that went wrong this shoot was an enjoyable experience with lots of positives, but it wouldn’t be Uni if I didn’t address the learning points that we’ve all taken away from this shoot.... therefore, enjoy my “Challenges and how to Overcome them” edition of the blog.

Challenge 1: The Walk

When the crew initially arrived at Cobbinshaw on Day 1, we couldn’t access our production base (and my home for the next 3 days... I’m not taking a train everyday), so the crew kept the kit with Gould and her car and took a wander to the location where Hollie was holding rehearsals. I had been told that from the recce they’d found a spot, and it was a 10min walk.

Okay, I thought, not bad: this walk, was torture. And that was without kit....

Each day we were going to have to trek the kit to this location, then setup and then shoot... so how did we overcome that?

To Overcome: “Condense and Persevere”

Each morning when at the production base, we split the kit up between the crew. The first day left us with sore hands and legs, so when walking back we started to condense the kit. Reflectors were tied to rucksacks, smaller items into bags, and boom-poles through bags, then from there everyone took 2 cases/bags each and it got much easier.

(And we made sure everyone had to carry the xeen lenses at one point, even our Director!)

In future as well I think I’ll ask for detailed notes from a recce, and a specific map/trail so that the crew aren’t faced with that physical challenge. Had it not been Covid times we would’ve likely asked for runners but, for now, we power through.

Challenge 2: The Weather

Not being naive our crew knew there’d be weather issues on this shoot, after all, it’s Scotland.

What we didn’t expect was the constant rain, cold temperatures, warm temperatures, sunshine, 30mph winds, and SNOW.

To Overcome: “Plan, Cover-Up, and Persevere”

Stocked up with waterproof coats, scarves, gloves, and hand-warmers the cast and crew kept ourselves warm against the spring chill. In between shots we got the actors coats back to them asap so they could keep warm, and only took them back as everyone was setup to shoot to ensure they weren’t cold. We worked through small showers of drizzle, but whenever rain picked up we took cover in the trees enjoying a nice dry break. We also kept all kit protected under the trees, and covered it with the tarp to prevent damage. Before each shoot-day we also planned according to the weather, so as I worked the lunch/break schedule I’d plan for when the rain was at it’s peak to go for breaks.

The one day where we called it was thankfully Day3. As we went to get the last shot (thankfully not important) it started to.... snow. Yeah, snow. We thought it’d taper off but after 5 mins the forest was covered undeniably in snow, so there was no way continuity would allow for this in our shots. So the Director and I called wrap to get us all back inside (we need to packup and walk in the snow so if it was getting stronger I didn’t think crew moral would enjoy that haha). Luckily, we never needed that shot (as I was AD/Editor I scheduled all the shots I didn’t see as essential to the edit towards the ends of the day/where weather was worse so that if it was interrupted it wouldn’t derail our film.

Challenge 3: Where’s half the script?

During pre-production I’d seen some great shots for the storyboard, and felt they’d really benefited the edit. So I communicated the kind of things I wanted to our DoP, and the sketches really delivered. So when given the shot list to create the schedule as AD I did feel it was a bit small (but as I’d been given it on the day before the schedule was due to go out, I needed to just crack on). By Day 2 of the shoot I realised why. We’d spent the first two days shooting the end of the film (pg3 on), and the car scenes, but where was page 1-3, where was the bench and the phone and everything that brought us to the water? The shot list hadn’t contained that.

As nobody else had noticed they’d also wanted to push more shots to the following day, meaning we now had 3 pages of a film to plan and shoot as well as that. So my whole plan for day 3 went out the window and I spent the Thursday night rescheduling whilst I uploaded files to my hard-drive (Editor/AD combo on the same shoot is hard-going, sleep came at about 2am).

Overcoming: “Teamwork, Talks, and Persistence”

When I first realised that there was an issue I did question to the Director/DoP that I thought something was amiss, but they didn’t see it. However having faith in what I knew of the script I was quite persistent in something being wrong, and spoke to them on a break and pointed it out. To keep things going we planned to sit down that night and plan everything, but no more shots could be pushed from day 2 (despite the bad weather), otherwise we’d not leave set until dark. I did feel as an AD I was being quite pushy/bossy, the editor side of me also wanted to know what was taking place in that first part of the script but we pushed through.

Challenge 4: The Mystery of the Missing Set

We’d made it, the final day. And the crew and cast were excited, as it was the day predicting the best weather and also the day we shot the start of the film. The shoot was scheduled to a gruelling 11hrs, and after our last trek to the set and setting kit up we were ready to get going.

However, as we set up kit at our kit location (100m from the set, where crew spread out when not required), our producer came up to us and said the dreaded words, “I have bad news”.

Great... what could this be about.

“The set’s gone”

???????

We rushed to the set where our DoP was and yup.... the bench (part of the woods) and the rope swing (Lauren’s prop) were gone. Who steals a bench? Was it a person? OR was it the 30mph winds the night before? We didn’t have much time to worry... because today was the day we were supposed to be shooting ON THAT BENCH. So.... what do you do if your set goes missing? Rule 1: Don’t panic.

Overcoming: “Find a log” (Plan, Don’t Panic, and Push on)

When we realised the problem our Producer and DoP messaged various community pages to see if they’d known what had happened, was this a regular thing?

But my thoughts as an AD was, we really don’t have time to stop. After everything being pushed from the day before to today, 2 pages of script still needing filmed, and unpredictable weather, we needed to crack on. So I told the Director, DoP, Sound Designer, and Actors to get to set and crack on with shots getting redone from yesterday that didn’t require the bench and don’t panic whilst the producer, production designer, and I went to sit and the kit and come up with a plan.

Lauren (Pro. Design), came up with the plan of getting a log (which had been Hollie’s initial idea in the script), and so she and I set off to find... a log. After a roughly 800m (or more) walk through the woods we found the perfect one. The problem was it was course, muddy, and heavy. So after mini caber tossing, rolling, kicking, and carrying this log, we got it to set, and the problem was solved. (Our backup plan was also to contact friends in Edinburgh with a car, and get them to bring us a bench or, god forbid, the materials to quickly build one.... we were needing a bench).

I made a note for the edit to cut around where the bench was (Update from Edit: The shots of Brodie have been cropped to avoid bench).

All in All: This was an exciting, adventurous, and all in all a brilliant shoot to be a part of. The crew dealt well with overcoming any and all obstacles, and the resulting footage was great considering the weather conditions the team faced.

Also... we never found the bench, it’s probably at the bottom of the reservoir. RIP.

ADVANTAGES OF LIVING FOR A DOG - NO. "FOF" ISN'T A TYPO 😁

1. Will bark to tell you someone will ring the doorbell in the next 2 seconds 2. Will clean your floor, table, dishwasher, any surfaces they can get to of any food as often as they can 3. Will emit regular toxic gases to prepare you for an eventual nuclear disaster. If you survive this you'll survive anything! 4. Will keep your face, hands -anywhere not covered - spit clean. And with its own paticular fragrance 5. Will encourage you to try new stores every so offen by refusing to eat their usual dinner - and no, fresh roasted chicken breast are far too dry! Don't you know that? 6. But will work on boosting their immunity by eating everything from balls to squirrel poo. Often saving you money... or not...it's not an exact science! 7. Will remind you where you're hidding your stash of goodies from them. Such at fun game! 8. Will check inside your sofa and any furniture for any bombs as soon as they move in. That's basic safety check. 9. Will sleep on your bed so as to prolonge the use of theirs by avoiding wear and tear 10. Will snore so you always have one eye open for potential theifs and allert them asap so they can bark 11. Will wake you to pee at dawn so you don't miss the beautifull sunrise 12. Will bark at ghosts and other supernatural entities that keep stealing your buiscuits from your plate 13. MAY check any buiscuits left to make sure they were not contaminated by said entities 14. Will pull you on walks and get you to run after them with your underwear in their mouth to keep you fit 15. Will shead fur everywhere at equal distance to show you where you need to clean 16. Will hump every fluffy toy to show you what you're doing wrong in your love life 17. Will hide one shoe and keys just when youre in a hurry. This helps you work your mental skills - well you SHOULD have checked in the washing machire 1st! 18. Will taste approve a 3rd of all your meals so you get the very best. .. And so you don't eat it all too. You don't want to put on weight 19. Will NEVER tell you that you look old or shabby. Truth hurts after all. 20. Will bring you dead mice to help you with groceries since you STILL can't hunt! 21. But won't TOUCH the mice already INSIDE the house! You SAID they carry diseases! 22. Will try to scare the neighbours and chew a bit their cats. They started it after all by existing! 23. Or befriend other neighbours and ignore you to give you some peace and quiet 24. Will be right there at the "opening of the crips bag sound" starts. They'll rather they get high collesterol than you 25. But never hears when you call them for a bath. Their ears simply cant pick up those strange alien words! 26. Also they rather keep their "natural" dog fragrance. It's a dog thing 27. But won't hesitate to tell you that you smell by sniffing at specific spot where you drop something on you. Them blow sharply through their noses several times so you don't miss it 28. Will veto all your friends, family and potential partners. If they don't like dogs they all are evil people! Obvious! 29. Will make sure you know "Cat People" are inconsistant. They don't have any set routines like walkies, bath, feed time. They are lazy and smelly. They won't get up early to take the fresh air whilts peeing; and ventilate the house by doing so. And that including in mid Winter snow storm. AND they have a cat tray of POOP AND PEE in the house! Yuck! 30. Will ALWAYS take you to the best butcher and stores as a priority. It's not like you needs much time to look at books, electronics or perfume, right?! 31. Will tell you they love you everytime you seems too preoccupied on the phone, online or by a book. Someone has to tell you every 10mins right?! You look so serious. It's not healthy! 32. Expects in return to be told they are "a gud boy or girl" regularly; scratch their ears; rub their tummy, kiss their paws; Note this list is not exhaustive. 33. Get you to speack in a cutesy, softy, silly voice just when someone walks by. One's pride needs to be kept in check. And yes please don't miss out their pet names "moo moo"... "Thorthor" .... "Baby chow bizou bizou". Everyone should speack at least one other language. Dog language is easy to learn after all. 34. Will get you to learn new exotic skills like "Doggy Massage" and "Cooking for your Dog". They'll never allow you to get bored. EVER! 35. They'll help your health further by stoping you from eating ALL form of chocolate or cake with raisin because you can't share it with them as its poisonous to dogs. It would be cruel to let them watch you eat without sharing, right? 36. And that way they help you spiritually by making you become a fairer and more generous person 37. They'll pee in every one of your herb pots so as not to waste their "biologically recycled water" and help the planet. Extra flavour too, right?! 38. They'll make sure you have fur on you where you can't see it and smell slightly of them. This way every other animal knows you're already taken. Your boss and potential partners included. Better be safe than sorry! 39. Will initiate you in the more balanced furniture arrangement than Feng Shui. Sofa has to be placed to catch the best sunshine; Tables places to leave enough place for them to go around; A sofa or table needs to be near the window for them to climb on to watch outside 40. That way they can maintain security by barking at everyone using THEIR pavement in front of THEIR house! How dare they?! 41. They'll lay in front of an open fire so you don't have to buy a hearth rug, whilst protecting you from too much heat. (bluebell99) 42.Will love you unconditionally (@Banana5) 43. And yes they know the word for "walk" in 7 different languages! (CatsM) 54. Will keep themselves informed to keep up with you by religiously following the kerb and stopping for EVERY SINGLE smell. Thoses are the lastest news and gossips from other dogs: Who was there; who's pregnant; who's loss all their testosterone: weird that last one! (CatsM) 55. Will play with the cat water bowl, cats toys, your shoes, to keep their toys in mint condition (CatsM) 56. Keeps you from spending boring WHOLE DAY out by needing to pee a lot and frequently. Not that you're ever seen a lot of pee or that frequently! (CatsM) 57. Will rather stay in all day than enter your car. That too often leads to the Vet! They know it's not your fault you don't know the Vet "Doctor who will make them better" is in fact a secret animal kidnapper who cages them in the back of the building and tortures them in horrible way! If only you were brighter you'll see it. But they love you just as you are. And people think they are just eating, pooping, sleeping, farting, barking machines! Animal Boyfriend Play Guide- General Politeness Tips

There’s several things in Animal Boyfriend that are considered polite and rude behavior. Most people follow the common courtesy of returning advice, recommendations, socializations, JIN, and comments (A/R/S/J/C), but there’s a few other nuances to keep in mind.

Memos

One big point for being polite is being mindful of memos. This applies to what you put in yours and taking the time to read what is in other’s. You’ll see lots of different things listed or requested in the student’s memos. Most of them will either list what they want/don’t want or have a role play going (RP) going with another player. A fair amount of the RPs that you’ll encounter are sexual in nature and have as explicit content as the game’s filters will allow, but some of them are PG13. If you are doing an RP with another player, please leave the sex out. The audience in Animal Boyfriend (AB) is varied and there are quite a few that are offended or too young to be exposed to this content. If you wish to have an RP that is sexual, simply take it to one of the many social media or messaging places. Aside from RPs, you’ll also see the various notes about what players want you to do with their students. These are very important to pay attention too. ‘Going too fast’ is NOT an excuse for laziness, disrespect, or inability to pay attention. There are several reasons why people will not want various things done. If you are trying to rank in the Daily Socializer Ranking (DSR), then please be sure to check the comment option (great, thanks, sorry) BEFORE you click anything else. If you break your habit of first clicking advice or rec, you’ll be able to catch the memo requests and people will be more likely to be happy with you and return your socialization.

Advice

The reason people get so upset over unwanted advice is because the game actually punishes you for missing it. If you don’t cheer your student before they finish work/study, their affection will drastically drop. Remember AB does not have notifications like the other Ambition Games do so people don’t know they received advice. When affection drops, you will miss level up events. If you miss a level up event, then your boy will not confess. The conversations also change when affection lowers, but missing the confessions is the number one reason why people do not want advice at certain times. Please, please be mindful of this and do not let advice be the first thing you click on when visiting other students. You’ll see memos like noA@200 or <10min, A@200 or <10min okay, noA@<10min, noA!, no advice!, and so on to indicate the type of advice people want. Also remember if you see busy, zzz, asleep, off, and things like this then the person is not on the game and may not be able to check their boy. Do not advice in this instance either.

Recommendations

One of the other things you’ll see in people’s memos are requests about how they’d like their recommendations (rec/s). There many people who are trying to level and will want a full rec and many people that do not like recs and can’t afford to buy the rec blocking. If you see a request for a full rec, please honor it. This is probably someone trying to level as quickly as possible, or someone who just likes seeing their boy dressed up. More frequently you’ll see things like ‘no face/hair rec’. This means they player wants an accessory only rec. The main reason for this request is they want their boys to look like the character they created, but they don’t mind seeing different outfits on them. A few people are like myself and can’t stand recs. To be mean for a moment here, I don’t like recs because many people just throw whatever items they recently got on their boys with no regards to aesthetics (i.e. they look like someone went to a thrift store and are trying to make themselves into an ugly clothes monster….). I can buy rec blocking every month, but not everyone can so please if someone has no recs in their memos, please don’t give them a rec.

One other thing on recs, giving one items recs is considered rude. Granted there isn’t a penalty for players that get or give one item recs like there is in Dream Girlfriend, but it’s still considered rude.

JIN

Another thing you might see is requests for JIN. Though most people anymore have hoards of the stuff (I’m sitting over 100,000 JIN…) you’ll see newer players asking for this. You don’t have to buy something off a student and give them JIN if you don’t want to, but it is considered courteous. Also, if someone gives you JIN, it’s considered polite to return the favor and buy something from them as well.

Socializations

The final things to keep in mind are around socializations (socs). There isn’t as much drama in the game around this as there used to be, but there’s a few things that are considered common courtesies and no nos. One that bugs me is don’t soc mule accounts (accounts that no one plays). You’ll see a lot of these guys on the DSR and it drives me nuts because those shiny gacha tickets can go to accounts that are actually played and not to accounts that no one uses. Also, it is polite to return socs. Granted if you are busy this might not happen (I’m really bad about returning socs just ‘cause I don’t have time for it). Some weird no nos about socing are called soc stealing. The DSR competition isn’t what it used to be and I haven’t seen as much drama around it as there used to be so I’m guessing this isn’t as much of a thing, but people used to get their garters in a bunch if you soc stole or soc stalked. Basically soc stealing or soc stalking is going through someone’s memos and socing everyone that gives them a soc, advise, rec, or comment. Silly yes, but at the time this was a big thing because you needed over 9,000 (no pun intended) socs to beat out the inactive accounts and get the top DSR slots. So competition like that made some people antsy.

Retaliation

So, if you’ve ever gotten that hateful player that changed their name to something to specifically insult you and called you out in their memos, chances are you were rude enough to ignore that hateful player’s memos and they are trying to get back at you. I consider both sides at fault here and both players to be rude, but you shouldn’t be too mean about the players that ignore other’s memos. Honestly there are people that will purposely do exactly what your memos say you don’t want. I’ve been given two ‘excuses’ for this behavior. One is ‘no one pays attention to my memos so I purposefully ignore other’s memos’ and the the other is ‘I only do it to rude players’. No matter the justification, don’t disregard memos. Aside from being disrespectful, there are in game penalties for missing things like cheering. Be nice everyone and respect one another.
