The Eclipse team!

Myrvin McGrove a star mage apprentice and next in line for fox protector of the local forest.

Jaxie Richard a knight in training who also works really hard to have a social life

Lemon “Lemy” Blixt a lemon orchard farmer who is very tired and is the life that gives you lemons

Charlotte Richard, a sneaky rogue of the land and also Jaxie’s sister!!! Family dinners are a bit tense

And now things I’ve changed for the design and whyyyyyy and how it fits in the storrryyyyyyyyyyyyy

First off! I had no desire to draw these characters for a while which told me that I needed to change some things to make them exciting to draw again.

Now originally this story was set in a modern world and the characters were placed into a fantasy world. I apparently don’t like modern settings for my stories so full on fantasy we go! I’m also a SUCKER for fantasy give me full control of the world to sandbox in

Because of this some designs were changed.

I changed Myrvins deer mask to fox because I feel like it’s a better insight into this guys character and there is a fox constellation! I also already have a deer character in my other story Opal Reapers and I didn’t want repeats

And due to my experiences with (hopefully temporary) vision loss I wanted to change a bit on how Myrvins vision loss worked. Such as having a short white ID cane that’s great to help with depth perception and having his mask cover 1 eye to make things easier for him. I did change his scar to be more star shape and his cape to look like that of a fox!

Now Jaxie, jaxie has been the one name from when these guys were septic ego OCs that kept the name so I also switched it and put an x in there. X marks the spot for Myrvins affection apparently and also probleeeemmmsss. He needs a break! 👏👏👏 went for more knight armor but kept some elements from his previous design such as ginger hair and his double lit candle tattoo. And the red hoodie that is his STAPLE

LEMY!!!!!! I love Lemy. So I never shared this character but they were suppose to be a guide for Myrvin in the original fantasy world. But now they don’t need that and I still wanted a reference to the original title dealing with orchard. But we already got our red character so yellow it was! Our sour lemon lantern orchard farmer. I designed her hat to look like a straw hat but still be part of her head design I am so happy with it. Also gives scarecrow vibes

AND CHARLOTTE!!!!!!!!! GOD SHES FINALLY BEEN GIVEN TRAITS DEAR STARS. So originally went from being Jaxies brother, to goth sister named Charlie, to now Charlotte problem was that I didn’t know what role she played in the story. She’s a lesbian mess with a knife I love her. She’s a rose both pretty and will slice ya. Big dramatic anime villain vibes for someone who is not a villain. Both Charlotte and Jaxie are trans because I think it’s funny to think that they were told to share as kids and shared everything including their gender and never asked for it back.

The story is still gonna revolve around the Solar and lunar Eclipses drama and poor communication skills and take up Myrvin and Jaxie as there champions as celestial entities DO. Which I shall design….. eventually

Didn't Wanna Feel Old in 2023? Sucks to be You!

Happy 2023 everybody! It's a new year meaning I've got new goals to meet. Goals like finally publishing something, setting up commissions so people can pay me to do what I love, cross-posting between my account here and on deviantART, summoning more kaijus just so they can play elaborate games of poker, y'know, all that good stuff. Cerberus corp has been watching charlie zheng. some of the public has dubbed them silhouette because of art manipulation gifted by A BAD BATCH OF DRUGS. having been an extra ordinary since 2021. they consider themself a vigilante.

near death experience…An artist by trade, Charlie made her fortune fairly young when an art buyer who represented a number of people in upper class society, took a shine to her work. What was only her third art show was a huge success, with the majority of her art fetching high prices. Her star rose and she was soon featured on lists of young artists to look out for. Her work was often polarising though, and she was loved in the industry just as much as she was hated. She fell in with a crowd of young socialites, and the majority of Charlie’s 20s were spent with her getting mixed up in alcohol and illicit drugs. There wasn’t a night where she wasn’t at a club or party, living a hedonistic style. Her social media feed was alive with photos taken in every big venue in town and she was able to just waltz into them because the crowd she hung with was always on the guest list and so was she by association.

Over the years she started to get tired of her life and it showed in her art. Sales dwindled and depression hit Charlie hard. She had one rule when partying and that was to never drink or take drugs alone. Charlie had seen her fair share of overdoses and never thought she’d be one of them. But one particularly bleak night, she turned down an invitation to go out and instead stayed home with a little baggie of Molly. She did all the things she usually did and had no more than one pill, but apparently she’d been given a bad batch and the next thing Charlie knew she was in a hospital having her stomach pumped. One of her friends had come home to check on her and had found her slumped on the floor.

From the moment she was discharged, Charlie decided she was going to make the most of her second chance at life. She quit all substances and stopped partying. Instead of going back to her previous art career, she got a job as an apprentice in a tattoo studio and worked her way up until she had her own client list. Of course she was doing all that while juggling with her new found ability (discovered when she was doodling in the hospital and the little bird she’d drawn, manifested itself) and her propensity for patrolling the streets of Brooklyn. power…Charlie’s power is the ability to manipulate any art that she’s created and essentially make it do anything she wants. In this regard her only limit is her own imagination. She can also take that art and make it “come alive” and assume a 3D form in the real world. It doesn’t matter if it’s art on paper, graffiti on walls or even tattoo art, she can manifest it and use them to attack, defend herself or just exist around her. The art she manifests has the same strengths and weaknesses of what she has based it off (or its closest real life counterpart for things that don’t actually exist in real life e.g unicorns being similar to horses). They also will still have the same look as they do in 2D form, for example rough sketches will still look like a rough sketched version when brought to life. drawbacks / vulnerabilities…Her powers only work on her own art. The larger and more complex the drawing is, the more exhausted Charlie will be after manifesting it. The manifestation can also only exist as long as it’s in view of her (blinking is fine though). Once art is brought to life she cannot make it go back to the form it took before, so shes limited by the art she’s prepared and has with her. cerberus corp…Charlie hasn't been approached by Cerberus and doesn't think the founders would be particularly interested in her powers, nor is she really interested in joining them. While she thinks they do a lot of great work, she dislikes that they focus a lot on PR and what makes a good headline. She also believes in the justice system and thinks occasionally some agents get carried away with "fighting crime". She wouldn't call herself a vigilante, just someone who is trying to better her own neighborhood. Charlie volunteers as much as she can and patrols regularly at night to try and keep the streets as safe as possible. codename…The first time she appeared in her local paper, a witness described her as a silhouette who came out of nowhere, and from that moment it stuck as a nickname that locals call her. It's definitely not something she calls herself, but it does give her a little bit of a chuckle when she hears people using it in passing.

Madame Chalamet Ghost Mysteries #3

Elinor Chalamet has her hands full training her new apprentice when Tristan Fontaine shows up with a friend who is seeking his daughter. With the skills she has learned when trained by the Morpheus Society she searches for Ebbe, works to improve Twyla’s paranormal abilities, and finds herself busy in the beyond as well as in the mundane world. Great addition to the series.

What I liked:

* Elinor: strong, dedicated, skilled in her craft, a bit impatient, seeking the murderer of her father, curious, protective, wily, attracted to Tristan

* Tristan: Duke, works for the king, strong, intelligent, good friend, focused, ruthless when necessary, loyal, attracted to Elinor

* Twyla: young, a bit awkward and clumsy, seems a bit scatter brained, improves with guidance, look forward to hearing more about her

* Seeing some of the characters from previous stories: Charlotte, Marcus, Anne-Marie

* The way the story moved between planes and what happened

* That the mystery was solved, and the evil person dealt with

* The lead into the next novella

What I didn’t like

* Who and what I was meant not to like: Parnell Lafayette, the serial killer Ghost, and what was being done to young women for nefarious purposes

* Not really a dislike BUT would like to see the relationship between Elinor and Tristan move forward and also find out who killed Elinor’s father…I am sure it will all be revealed eventually.

I was so busy yesterday that I forgot my 23rd Entrepreneurial Anniversary. Same message as last year. Today June 9th, 2021 marks my 22nd Anniversary as an Entrepreneur. I was running errands and it literally hit me. Wow I remember on June 9,1999 all 20 years of me walking into the Mecklenburg County register of deeds and registering my first company From The Ground Up by DGR that later became Darrell Roach Designs. I had big dreams but had no idea on how amazing my journey was actually going to be. So like it starts when Poe and Finn are out and a woman in her Early 30s at a market stall SCREAMS when she sees him, and Finn thinks its because she’s going to try and kill them and then she’s like EURMAGERD and Poe is SUPER EMBARRASSED but signs all these things for her. And then Finn goes back and Poe says ‘I’m sure you want to know what that was about’ and Finn’s like ‘yeah?’ and Poe says ‘Hmmm yeah so I was a child star, it was only a few years, people have mostly forgotten.’ So Finn looks on the holonet and read’s the rebellion version of wikipedia which he expects to be 90% ‘this glorious hunk of a man blew up starkiller base what a fucking war hero’ but its actually ‘Poe Dameron was in the GREATEST BAND OF ALL TIME that CHANGED POP CULTURE FOREVER we NAMED HAIRSTYLES AFTER HIM also he’s a war hero who blew up starkiller base [citation needed]. And Finn is vaguely outraged but also intrigued.

Also at the same time Ben Solo is the Charlotte Church (very english reference) of Jedi skills, and concerned parents are like ‘why don’t you have a poster on your wall of that nice padawan rather than those boys with their tops off’ and people on the internet see Poe and Ben being friends and write tinhat fic about how they’re in love, that kind of skeevs Poe out because Ben IS evil, and when Ben falls and as the boy band lose their popularity Poe’s like “fuck this, I bought my dad a house” and quits to join the military and its like Zayn leaving one direction/Robbie leaving Take That.

SICKERT- A Life in Art Exhibition Review

To move through The Walker Art Gallery’s newest exhibition

Sickert - A Life in Art is to essentially walk the path of one of Britain's most extraordinary artists, whose creative evolution spans nearly six decades. Walter Richard Sickert (1890-1942) was a German born, English Post Impressionist artist who produced an unapologetic body of work, gaining a reputation after his death as one of Britain’s most radical painters of the twentieth century.

Sickert’s progressive approach to subject matter sought out those who were overlooked in society, being the first English artist to paint London’s atmospheric music halls during his early career, then later capturing his notorious naked women in his Camden Town nude series. (Miller, 2021, P.20) These artworks illuminated the underbody of society, shining a light on those kept in the shadows. Constantly honing his skill, Sickert challenged what his contemporary audiences found shocking and intriguing, and went on to influence British Avant-garde in the mid-twentieth century. Sickert’s passion for authenticity and the modern world resulted in a kind of pure art form, capturing an enduring essence of humanity that relates audiences today to subjects who lived more than one hundred years before. Sickert - A Life in Art has been curated as an intimate exhibition - despite the large volume of works. Charlotte Keenan McDonald, Lead Curator of Fine Art, at the Walker Art Gallery, said; “He repeatedly reinvented himself, pushing his art in new and unexpected directions. He sought to combine a technical interest in painting with his conviction that art should reflect the modern world. Visitors to the exhibition will experience first-hand how Sickert chronicled Britain during a period of rapid change through an outstanding and uncompromising body of work.” Each artwork also acts as a snapshot of Sickert’s personal life which seeps out from the thick layered oil paintings beneath. The collection of Sickert’s work is the largest that has taken place in Britain for thirty years, boasting over three-hundred paintings and drawings, (Miller, 2021, p.5) allowing the public to re-examine Sickert’s contribution to British art- both then and now.

E A R L Y L I F E

Upon entering the gallery, Sickert’s sombre Self Portrait 1896 (Figure 1) both confronts and welcomes, overlooking the gallery as a precursor to what is to come. The gloomy portrait was painted at the height of his success, despite his unsmiling, forbidding expression. The combined muted colour palette exposes the true weight of his financial misfortunes and separation of his wife, Ellen, which overshadowed his success at this time. (Miller, 2021, p.13) The painting, like Sickert’s personality, is captivating and complicated. While this painting is outside of the otherwise chronological timeline of the exhibition, it effectively kicks off the outstanding retrospective. Interestingly, the self portrait is surrounded by Sickert's early years; his rudimentary first paintings Violets 1880 (Figure 2) and scratchy pencil sketches, Husum 1978 (Figure 3) The pairing of these artworks together anticipates the changes in his artistic ability - uniting the improved technique and meaning that he gave to his later works.

T H E M U S I C H A L L S E R I E S Adjoining his early works are Sickert’s famous music hall paintings. Sickert was part of the vibrant art scene in London, where he became the apprentice of James Abbot McNeil Whistler for whom he owes credit for the inspiration of his earliest works. However, Sickert was not always an aspiring painter. As a young man, he pursued an acting career which ultimately was unsuccessful, but did inform some of his most acclaimed works – The Music Hall Series. (Corbett, 1998, p. 34) This sector of the exhibition spans across red walls, allowing the hints of colour among darkness to stand out to the visitor. Perhaps the star of the show is Minnie Cunningham 1892, (Figure 4) the vibrant vermillion red of the performer’s dress projects from the painting, surrounded by the same cherry-hue of the walls. Sickert found the beauty within the otherwise grim London scenes, which were at the time associated with heavy drinking and rowdy audiences of the middle class. His choice of subject perhaps influenced by the Parisian Impressionist scenes of nightlife and prostitution which were popular mong artists such as Degas and Manet. (Miller, 2021, p.18) These depictions of Music Hall paintings shocked the Victorian audiences, however despite the criticism that Sickert was bound to face, he engaged in the public debate surround politics and sex which undercut the modern society. Sickert's focus turned away from the performers in the later 1890’s, and focused primarily on the grand architectural spaces and the atmosphere among those in the audience. (Miller, 2021, p.32)This evolution is clearly marked through exhibition, using detailed information plaques and a simplified timeline, which is helpful for those who know less about Sickert’s life. It is clear from the outset of the exhibition that the intent is to simply and effectively display Sickert’s remarkable life and evolution as an artist in a sequential way- as the name of the show would suggest.

T I M E S P E N T A B ROAD

V E N I C E

Moving forwards into the next room introduces a new era of Sickert’s life, with travel and the time he spent painting in Venice and Dieppe explored thematically. Beneath an arched entrance, the audience is met with a series of cityscape paintings juxtaposing the dark and cramped interiors of the London Music halls displayed in the previous room. Sickert’s range of skill and technique required for such a shift in subject matter is apparent, Venice’s elegant surroundings allowed him to expand his collection of picturesque scenes. The first in the series of Venetian paintings shown is The Facade of St Mark’s Red Sky at Night 1895 (Figure 5) which is an impressive example among the many versions he painted of the same building under changing light. The dusty pink evening sky forms the background behind the vast building, gold brilliance bouncing off each of the crosses in the diminishing light. This exhibition places great importance on the influence Sickert’s environment had upon him, as well as the other great artists he had contact with.

D I E P P E

Another location that Sickert spent a prolonged amount of time at, and somewhere that proved to be fruitful for his career was Dieppe. Dieppe is a coastal town on the outskirts of Northern France, and was a social and artistic hub in the late 19th Century. There are two rooms dedicated to the collection of work he produced there, emphasising the importance to Sickert's career and the bridge Dieppe built between Britain and France. Degas, Blanche and Sickert became acquainted while working there, this expansion of social network exposed the flourishing artist to gain contact with Parisian dealers. (Daniels, 2002, p.59) Most impressive to the collection where the paintings that were originally commissioned by the owner of the Hotel de la Plage in Dieppe. To stand in the centre of the six large paintings, which have never been displayed together before, really gives a sense of what Sickert was striving to achieve. However, as the story goes, the Hotel owner was disappointed by the six paintings and they were never to be installed together until today in The Walker Art Gallery. Perhaps most favoured of the group is the painting Bathers 1902 (Figure 6) which was a unique take on Dieppe for Sickert, with no foreground or horizon and a sharp contrast between the striped red and blue bathers at leisure in the sea.

D R A W I N G S A N D S K E T C H E S

What sets this exhibition apart from the previous retrospectives displaying Sickert’s work is the expansive drawings and sketches that are part of The Walker Art Galleries’ Collection. Boasting over three-hundred pieces, The Walker has remounted the drawings in small collections in the same way that Sickert did originally onto canvas board. (Miller, 2021, p53) For the visitor, being able to view these fleeting moments of inspiration recorded quickly on scraps of paper, then being able to compare them to finished paintings, breaks down the artistic process and the boundaries set by traditional ‘painting only’ exhibitions. The glass encased palette (Figure 7) displaying his left-over paints is also encased in glass, as if he had just set down his paint brush. Sickert used soft graphite and black chalk to clarify the form of the figures and to help process the composition for the finished paintings. This cultivates a deeper meaning with the audience, bringing the master down to the basics of his creation. An excellent addition to the collection of paintings, Sickert’s paper collection displayed as he would have added an exciting twist to the exhibition.

C A M D E N T O W N N U D E S

Sickert moved back to London from Venice and Dieppe in 1905, and made some of his most iconic works during this era of his life. He began to capture domestic settings, portraits of those close to him and their nudes. Sickert had a fascination with capturing modern life, the mundane day-to-day events in his paintings went against public taste. ( Miller, 2021, p.65) The evolving role women and the increase in sex workers was a taboo subject for his early Twentieth Century audience. Within his Camden Town Nudes Series, he focused attention on limited use of light, exposing instead a rose hued, purposeful portion of the naked woman. The gloomy shades in the cramped dark rooms create a sinister undertone, combined with the violent brush strokes which are perhaps symbolic of sexual violence these idealised women endured. While a twenty-first century lens may criticise the objectification of these women, there is some merit perhaps in the realistic portrayal of female anatomy, there is a brutally honest portrayal of women within the paintings of whom he lived among and observed. La Hollandaise 1906 is one of the more shocking and intimate of the group. The position of the nude figure, propping herself up on one arm with her face obscured is suggestive of her insignificance as she is just one of many. Importance instead is placed on her illuminated body and the transaction that is about to take place.

J A C K T H E R I P P E R

The accusation that Sickert was Jack the Ripper has been given much media attention in the wake of this exhibition. Tactfully, the room exploring this conspiracy has been left towards the end of the exhibition, despite it being one of the main focuses of the advertising campaign. The suggestion that Sickert was the notorious murderer did not come to light until the 1970’s (Daniels, 2002, p 58) long after Sickert’s painting career and death, and it proved to be impossible that Sickert was the culprit as he was in Dieppe during the course of the crimes. While the exhibition leans into a sinister narrative by displaying the paintings on black walls with writing ‘Murder is as good as any other subject’ large above the paintings, the rumours are cleared discreetly on a wall panel.

T H E R E S E L E S S O R E

During the finishing walk of the gallery rooms, there is a space dedicated to artists other than Sickert who had influenced or been influenced by his work. While some of Sickert's portrayals of women may be controversial due to their violent imagery, the exhibition makes a case for the uplifting Sickert achieved of his female counterpart during his life time. Mentioned predominantly within the discussion of his woman-artist companion, his third wife, Therese Lessore. Sickert promoted her work long before their marriage, and like many female artists, Lessore has been greatly overlooked instead living under Sickert’s status. (Miller, 2021, p53) Whilst only a small portion of the exhibition discusses the vital role that women played in Sickert career, this honourable mention brings an aspect of inclusion to his otherwise white, cis male oriented exhibition.

L A T E R Y E A R S

The exhibition concludes with the later paintings of Sickert’s career and his final creative period of work to conclude the chronology. The journey from Sickert's early, formative years through to the final decades is overall a moving and extraordinary journey. Especially since Sickert’s final years where some of his most successful, and much of his work was purchased for public collections. Despite this, a lot of this work is less favoured than his earlier pieces and the final room of the exhibition almost seems underwhelming because of this, just a blur of street fronts and street scenes. Perhaps this is due to the increasing reliance on photography that Sickert had developed. These images are often direct copies of images found in his day to day life, such as newspapers.

Over all, Sickert: A Life in Art takes its viewers on an interesting chronological tour through the shifting career and changing styles of the artist. The volume of the works exhibited leaves something for every viewer to enjoy and the sheer differences in technique between each decade creates an absorbing journey into one of Britain’s most famed artists of the twentieth century.

- Ida has all the magic of a normal witch, but on top of that has a deep connection to the earth and the magic stemming from it, even beyond the earth into the universe. If not properly trained (or if driven to a great enough temptation), an Elemental could vaporize the entire planet, or bend it to their will. They could also leave humanity behind if they so wished and become nature itself

- Elementals are theorized to have fragments of Merlin's soul fused with their own, hence why they feel strong connections to each other and can't ever fatally harm one of their own. Most Elementals also fall in love with each other as well, and the connection is thought to be stronger than a normal human's love could ever be. These connections help ensure no Elemental gives in to whichever temptation has the strongest pull on them. Only one Elemental has ever yet gone evil, and this is how it was discovered that they cannot kill one another

- This special magic is not hereditary. In fact, no one knows what causes someone to be born an Elemental, only that there have been less and less of them in the recent centuries. There are only two known Elementals left: Ida and Sebastien

Mother: Lina is a warm hearted woman who wants the best for her daughter, misguided though she might be. She often has to shout at her husband to trying to hold Ida back, or discourage Ida's dreams. She noticed Ida's growing power long before her husband did, and was the one to finally contact someone for help when Ida grew so strong and uncontrolled she couldn't stop floating

Father: Elias is a business oriented man who, though he loves his daughter, up until her reveal as an Elemental wished she was a son. He's the reason Ida was homeschooled for so long, as he didn't think a girl was worth the tuition money. He refused to believe that Ida was anything other than ordinary until a man in a high position told him otherwise

Other Important Family: Ida's paternal aunt, Ingrid, is one of the biggest influences in her life as a child. Opinion on Family: Up until entering Hogwarts, Ida really only knew her family, so she loved them and thought very highly of them. As she becomes more socialized and learns more about the world, she starts to notice her parents' many flaws and though she never stopped loving them, she does resent them for homeschooling her and ignoring the signs of her being abnormal, because she used to think she was broken when in reality she's nearly a god

Young Childhood: Ida is kept at home. She knows no children her age, and spends most of her free time roaming her father's land. No matter how far she wanders, she never seems to get lost. Ida has strange dreams where she watches the world as an outsider. After being told by a Seer that her ideal wand would be created at a small shop in Japan, Ida convinces her father to spend a month there over the summer, and her mother takes her to the shop to get her wand. Ida sneaks out one night and climbs a cliff that looks out over the ocean. In later years she can't remember whether rising up over the waters and hearing the stars call to her by name was a dream or not, but she knows the moon smiled at her.

March Wrap-Up and April TBR

I am so happy to say that I had a second strong reading month, reading seven books back to back. I really thought it was going to be a slower month since my mom was in town for two weeks and I was doing a lot with her, but I guess I found time. It also helps that some of these were audiobooks that I could listen to on the way to work and while I crochet.

Anyway, in the order that I read them, here are the seven books I read in March.

1. Dreamland by Sarah Dessen

I have a whole post about how much I hated this book and the relationship in it. I’ve never enjoyed contemporary romance, but I thought I’d give this one a try and I ended up regretting it. Here are my thoughts if you want to dive deeper

4. The Duke and I by Julia Quinn

Again, I have another full post about this book, so go read that, but I was not the biggest fan of this book. I'm not sure if it was a bad romance, or I didn't like it just because I don't typically like romance, but the show, Bridgerton, is sooo much better in my humble opinion.

6. Assassin’s Apprentice by Robin Hobb

Again I have a whole post about it if you want to check it out, but this book made Robin Hobb one of my new favorite authors, easily. Despite being a little on the slow side, I truly grew so attached to Fitz, the main character, and I seriously can't wait to pick up the next book.

7. Admission by Julie Buxbaum

This last one was a random read for me, and I truly was not expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. Admission follows 17-year-old Chloe Berringer as she navigates through senior year of high school and applies for colleges, only to discover that her parents have paid someone to fake her applications so she could get in. Now, her actress mother faces jail time, and she is left with the realizations that her parents have no faith in her, and her life might just be ruined. This is definitely inspired by the Lori Laughlin, Felicity Huffman, USC scandal, but it also has a uniqueness to it of the main character having to come to terms with the fact that she has been born into privilege and really struggling with how to make that right. It's also told in two timelines, a "then" that shows her in the beginning of the school year forming her applications and taking the SAT's, and a "now" that shows her mother being arrested and paparazzi stalking her house. I found the whole story just really intriguing from the very beginning, and I did feel a real sympathy for the main character and what she was going through.

Now that the wrap-up is done, let's chat about the books I want to read for April.

For starters, my English lit class is going HARD this month. I have to have Beowulf entirely read by tomorrow night, in two weeks I have to read Dante's The Inferno, and then at the end of the month is the entirety of Hamlet, which I already know is going to suck. I hate Shakespeare. So that is at least three books.

For my audiobooks this month, I just started Jade City by Fonda Lee which is another one of my favorite series, and I have the audiobook of Golden Son by Pierce Brown to finish up when I'm done. Both of these are rereads but the audiobooks seem to really enhance it, so I'm excited to get into those.

In the physical book category, I'm currently reading From Blood and Ash by Jennifer L. Armentrout that I've checked out from the library. I'm about halfway through because I couldn't finish it the first time I had it. I almost DNF'd it the first time but I know that so many people like it, so I've been trying to give it another chance. I also have Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo which is the final book of the Grisha trilogy that I want to have read by the time the show comes out this month. If I can finish all of those, then I also want to reread Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo because I LOVE those books, but also because the show is coming out. And FINALLY, if I can somehow finish all of those first, my hold for Majesty by Katharine McGee should be ready. That's the sequel to American Royals that I somewhat enjoyed, but I'm really just curious to find out if everything ends how I predicted

I just counted and realized that there are 10 books on my TBR somehow. I mean, I'll do my best to try to get through them. I also have a school project due in a few weeks that I have to try to finish so we shall see what happens.
