Crowley desperately needs Aziraphale to believe in him

Thinking about the way Crowley always gets soooo dramatic when Aziraphale only so much as hints at Crowely being good/nice/kind at heart but at the same time absolutely needs Aziraphale to wholeheartedly believe in him (which he does, obviously).

Like in the Job episode when he "destroys the goats" in Aziraphale's presence and on his way to "destroy" the children looks Aziraphale dead in the eye and tells him that he "longs to destroy the blameless children of blameless Job" just to be busted by the crow bleating seconds later ... like, he could have stopped it from doing that, right? He probably even made the crow bleat. I mean look at his expectant expression:

Like he wanted Aziraphale to find out that he hadn't actually killed the goats.

And then later when he sets the house on fire to provoke Aziraphale to go all "YES, QUITE sure!" on him ...

I mean, he does similar things all of the time, but something about this episode and the way he pushes the boundaries ... as if he's like "how far can I push it until he loses faith in me?" and Aziraphale just never does. Like, the way Crowley probably lost all faith in himself after the Fall and since then has been hiding his broken little heart behind a big old "bad boy" image and now desperately needs Aziraphale to believe in the good in him. And he loves him so much for always coming through for him.
