Her
“The sun seems so far away.”
“Hmm,” she agreed.
“Why is it so far away?” She asked, looking up at the trees far above them both.
“Cause it just is.”
“Oh.” The dry leaves made a rustling noise while the wind carried them around. The younger one turned her head to the red head laying next to her, eyes closed, and on the verge of sleep. “Are you asleep?” The child whispered.
“Yes.” The older one replied, hoping for a peaceful reaction. The young one scooted over closer and looked up at the waving tree branches again. Maybe it was the sound of the wind, or just the calm that surrounded them, but the young one started to yawn and rested her head on the other's shoulder. The sounds of birds chirping, rush of a warm breeze, and the feeling safety made falling asleep easy.

A little over a month left to finish my BA thesis, so in reality, a few weeks to get a decent product to send to my friends to read over… I am determined to actually have a first draft at the end of the week (utopian) because I really want some space to breathe before the next semester sweeps me up again.
Roughly one third written - I‘m testing if „study with me“ videos help me stay productive long term to meet my goal 😮💨

Here are some moments when I closed my eyes and listened.
Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Travel throughout the land and see how He originated the creation, then Allah will bring it into being one more time. Surely Allah is Most Capable of everything.
