I’ve been a Dodger fan for my whole life and this news saddens me. Watching The Dodgers from home and at the games when I was in elementary school to high school until now really made my childhood. I’ll never forget It’s Time For Dodger Baseball ❤️💙⚾️

Is anyone else concerned by just how many close calls there’s been recently in the sport? I know it’s far safer these days but Russell’s crash is another case where a driver could have very easily died or been seriously injured and I highly doubt there’ll be consequences (for the FIA, not Alonso to be clear) - there was Qatar last year, the manhole cover in Vegas, and now this?
The safety of drivers is being sacrificed for the sake of entertainment, and I have a very very bad feeling about the fact that these keep on happening because sooner or later it won’t be a close call, it’ll be a tragedy

in the year 2024 FIS jfc.
also the part on how having a financially viable ski racing career is less and less possible… and FIS just removed a valuable platform for these girls. ski racing already has a hard enough time for many many many reasons—some within our control and some out of it. but this is fully within FIS’s control and to blatantly disregard these women like this is ridiculous.

i love slomo replays...like yeah break it down for me baby. show me the components. the order of operations. reveal to me the majesty of human movement by slowing it down to something my human perception can follow.

can't stop rotating the fact that viktor made yuuri do the eros routine in order to let him know how viktor felt about the night at the banquet (vitya thus essentially trying to confess his crush on him) all while yuuri didn't remember the banquet at all which in essence allowed him to make the routine his own in my head. like i know we've been through this but!! GOD!!! viktor coming to hasetsu and getting the cold shoulder from yuuri and being like ??? OKAY you playboy i'm gonna make you do this routine so you understand how that night affected me and make you address it!! and yuuri not remembering a goddamn thing and being like ??? my literal idol showed up naked at my house saying he wants to coach me and is literally constantly flirting with me and he wants ME to be the playboy in this routine??? well that might not be me but i can instead seduce him, the real playboy!!
like the routine is such a good study of how you are interpreted by others vs. how you interpret yourself (and of how neither of these interpretations holds the complete truth) for the both of them. it mirrors how they both feel/think about one another at the beginning, both being in some way mistaken, and shows so well how they both start somewhere else but then meet so perfectly in the middle :"))) i am overcome......

Beyond the Broadcast: AI Enhances the Fan Experience in Sports
Tumblr media
Forget passive couch potato-ing and repetitive replays. The sports viewing experience is about to get a makeover powered by artificial intelligence, transforming fans from passive observers to active participants in the game. Buckle up, because the future of watching the game is interactive, personalized, and oh-so-intelligently enhanced.
Imagine:
Your own AI sports commentator: Tired of generic play-by-play? AI analyzes the game in real-time, tailoring insights and predictions based on your favorite players, past rivalries, and even pre-game wagers. It's like having your own pocket commentator, whispering statistics and hidden storylines that make the drama unfold on a deeper level. Interactive simulations that put you in the game: Ever dreamed of calling the shots? Step into virtual reality simulations and manage your own dream team, adjusting lineups, calling plays, and experiencing the thrill of victory (or, let's be honest, the sting of defeat) in real time. No more armchair quarterbacking; feel the pressure of making decisions that impact the virtual outcome. Hyper-personalized content feeds that know you better than your best friend: No more sifting through generic highlight reels. AI curates personalized content feeds based on your favorite players, teams, and past viewing habits. Imagine never missing a highlight from your favorite underdog, or receiving custom predictions about their next big game. The benefits go beyond just personal entertainment:
Deeper fan engagement: By making fans feel involved and informed, AI enhances the emotional connection to the game, fostering a more vibrant and interactive community. Enhanced sponsorship opportunities: With targeted advertising and personalized content partnerships, AI opens up new avenues for brands to connect with fans and maximize their impact. Breaking down geographical barriers: AI can overcome language and cultural differences, making sports broadcasts and fan experiences accessible to a wider global audience. But like any powerful technology, AI comes with challenges:
Data privacy concerns: Ensuring responsible data collection and usage is crucial to maintain fan trust and prevent potential misuse of personal information. Accessibility and technological divides: Bridging the digital gap and ensuring everyone has access to these enhanced fan experiences is essential for equitable participation. Maintaining the human touch: While AI can offer incredible insights, the emotional storytelling and human connection of traditional broadcasts shouldn't be lost in the algorithm shuffle. The future of sports viewing is a hybrid symphony of AI-powered insights and human storytelling. AI elevates the experience, but it must complement, not replace, the heart and passion that make sports so captivating.
