being forced to follow wherever her military job takes her, yaretzi warcloud finds herself in strangerville. it’s clearly evident something is terribly wrong here, yet she doesn’t care to do much about it. she’ll happily run drills and lie to the locals about what's going on in the ██████ lab but at the end of the day her priorities lie with good food, fancy objects and making candles. oh. she also believes in magic. big time. potions and wizards and all that. we’ll delve into that at a later date. welcome to their life (and the generations to follow) (hopefully) (🤞).

📚inch resting bits from the march twst manga updates📚 (octa, savana, & 4koma!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
***Manga spoilers below the cut (with an emphasis on the Episode of Octavinelle, since that's my favorite dorm!)***
Tumblr media
The 4koma manga has dropped! Again, it centers around the daily lives of the NRC boys and is shown in a 4 panel gag comic format.
In the illustration above, we see the main cast with Grim's beloved tuna cans~
This month has comics about Ace going to a supplementary lesson (to learn how to manipulate brooms to do his chores) and Leona attending his art class. The comic depicts Leona, Idia, and Rook in the same art class though we're not sure if this is true in-game yet. However, the comics do carry over the continuity of Ace and Deuce being in Trein's class so maybe the art class thing is also true of Leona?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
From the Episode of Savanaclaw manga: I KNOW WE'RE SUPPOSED TO BE IN AWE OF DIASOMANI'S PRESENCE BUT ALL I'M THINKING IS THAT DIASOMNIA HAS A MOB STUDENT WITH A BOWL CUT 😭
I'm also really fixated on how this mangaka draws her lashes and hair, they're always bangers every time 💗
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ruggie "bleh" face... Also???? That full page of him using his UM... and the visualization of the wildebeests racing with him like the people in the crowd, very Lion King.
I like that the manga really shows us more emotional and intense moments the game cannot depict due to its limited assets. Here, we see the aftermath of Ruggie using his UM on the crowd. Even with Azul's magic-enhancement potion, Ruggie has taken a great physical toll from spellcasting. Falling to his knees, panting... This will make it hurt more when Leona almost poofs him to sand later 😭
Tumblr media
These panels remind me of like. Scar looking on from up high while the hyenas do his bidding. Ruggie's expression... it's so full of a desperate kind of hope has he gazes up at his "king".
Tumblr media
From the Episode of Octavinelle, we get to see Leona post-OB and recovering in the infirmary. Side note, I really love how the mangaka adds these cute little faces to let us know who is speaking in certain text bubbles. The little faces make some of the cutest expressions; just look at that cheeky chibi Leona head!
Tumblr media
Here, Ruggie is telling everyone about rumors that Azul and the twins purposefully prevent their clients from fulfilling their end of the contract so they can reap the benefits. I like how the scene shown is a boat tipping over (with the twins implied to have flipped it). Nice callback to the boat scene in The Little Mermaid!
Tumblr media
We have another The Little Mermaid reference here, where Floyd shares his UM with the gang?? The hypothetical man here reminds me of Prince Eric, especially in that white shirt and appearing as though he is drowning.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Guys... Azul's been taking modeling lessons from Vil-- I really like these more quiet and contemplative moments of Azul; plenty of those are featured this month.
asdbhlfdbaifyoaiygoeia I WILL NOW ALWAYS ASSOCIATE AZUL THINKING HARD WITH SITTING IN THAT CHAIR... There's so many shots of him seated here...
Tumblr media
Yuuta continues to be my favorite manga!Yuu so far by diligently tidying up Leona's messy ass room for him... asfvkyadvfialf Grim looks so goofy helping out, that tower of clothes is half his size...
Tumblr media
FLOYD'S FACE IS SO siLLy HERE TOO (this is the scene when Ruggie recalls seeing his eel form during a P.E. class where they swam). The mangaka really decided to summon his gremlin energy here...
Tumblr media
Aaaaah, I love this shot; it sort of parallels Azul and Leona... It also makes me realize the difference between how Leona's hair is in Octavinelle vs Savanaclaw (due to the different mangaka). In Octavinelle, his hair is usually a solid black with white highlights but in Savanaclaw there tends to be a subtle gradient/screen tone on Leona's hair.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anyway, twins Twins TWINS
GOOD WAY TO CLOSE OUT THE OCTA CHAPTER, EXCELLENT WAY TO CLOSE OFF THE OCTA CHAPTER IN FACT 🫶 Can you tell I love the Tweel parts/j

TS4 Werewolves - a kitchen add-on
Download (Base Game Compatible) here: Cabinets Counters
Alternative preview and some info from me below the cut
*fixed a bug when sinks were placed on it. Please re-download if you encounter that problem!
I'm still recovering files. Fortunately I did not damage my laptop or drive. The only folder that got roasted was indeed "just" the His Loft folder.
I made this kitchen today because wifi was out again. Thanks T-online for always being crappy. Speaking of, this kitchen is rancid and I love it so much. It was originally that one desk from the werewolves pack. We've had a kitchen in the vampires and spellcasters pack. Why not in werewolves? Strange, but fixable with some cc. This does not have island counters. If enough people want them let me know, but since the original is boxy I didn't want to deal with rounded end pieces.
Tumblr media
and here it is in extra shabby Ferrari red. My beloved.

Drow Lore 🕷️ Sorn and Nadal, Drider Brothers (part 1)
Tumblr media
Yet another deep dive into drow / drider lore - this time inspired by two drider characters from Icewind Dale 2: Sorn and Nadal, formerly sons of a noble house from drow city Rilauven.
As driders, they guard the entrance to one of the Underdark locations and they can be talked to. In fact, Sorn does practically all the talking, often showing wry, somewhat bitter sense of humour. Nadal's change, on the other hand, left him a little less drow than most - he has trouble with articulated speech, as well as with controlling his thirst for blood.
Sorn, when asked about his past, can share his and his brother's story. Scraps of information about their fate can be also picked up from other sources in game, giving them an interesting background - here is my attempt to reconstruct it.
So, if you like (sad) stories about driders... here is the first part:
🕷️ Before Transformation - Sorn and Nadal are brothers and former members of a noble drow house ...which shall remain nameless. They were both sons of the Matron Mother of their family, so their social status was probably quite high, and they had at least two sisters.
They lived in Rilauven. It is a drow city located in the Northdark, below the region of Icewind Dale, somewhere under Dorn’s Deep – the ancient dwarven stronghold.
Rilauven is neither as big, nor as old as Menzoberranzan, but still, it seems to be quite prominent. It has the academy of magic (Sorcere), the academy of martial arts (Melee-Quartha), the society of merchants (Belaessar) and at least several old noble houses, collectively known as Ultrinnan Qu'ellar.
To 1282 DR, Rilauven was a typical Lolth-sworn drow city with matriarchal society. Then the local followers of Vhaeraun conducted a successful and relatively bloodless coup, overthrowing Lolth's matriarchy and altering the local power balance.
The brothers did not participate in these events, though.
🕷️ Wizard and Warrior - Sorn and Nadal - given their station and the abilities they managed to retain after transformation - probably graduated respectively from Rilauvenian Sorcere and Melee-Quartha.
Sorn was most likely a wizard since even as a drider, he is an arcane spellcaster. His name means literally "enchanted" or "spell". Nadal was likely a warrior. His name, possibly reflecting his character, is assembled from prefix Nad- ("cunning", "genius", "mind", "thought") and suffix -al ("lunatic", "maniac", "manic", "rage").
Their mother and sisters apparently deemed them competent enough to entrust them with executing their plans - at least until...
🕷️ Scapegoats - sometime before 1282 DR, the noble house Sorn and Nadal belonged to became ...involved in a botched attack on a rival house. The house they attacked could not identify theirs to retaliate, which was a small mercy, but still, the whole operation was considered a fiasco.
According to Sorn: To cover up their poor tactics, our sisters blamed their failure on the execution of their plans. Naturally, we were responsible for that. Our beloved Matron Mother did not question their judgement and promptly had us transformed.
🕷️ Among Lolth-sworn drow, transformation into a drider is associated with failure and punishment - but apparently, it is also possible to be changed into a drider because of someone else's incompetence and intrigue... especially when you are a male 😔

the aesthetics challenge: a ten generations legacy challenge
i've always loved to play challenges in the sims 4, i find that they push to gameplays that i otherwise would probably never try, so i decided to try to create my own challenge.
while creating the requirements for each generation i was looking at the aesthetics wiki, so feel free to check it out if you have any doubt as to what an aesthetic means or what it should look like. also, i'm aware that some of this may not fit what some people think about certain aesthetics, but this was my own interpretation of them with the resources provided by the sims 4 gameplay to the date i'm posting this, so be nice pls <3
while making this i realized that someone else had already made a challenge with the same idea, though there are only two aesthetics that appear in both challenges and the requirements are different.
general rules:
though some generations do require you to live in a specific place, i only added the world part as to give you an idea, but you're welcome to have your sim live wherever you wish if not necessary.
given that it's a challenge based around the idea of aesthetics, you should probably create your sim based around the designated aesthetic
unless stated otherwise, you can marry/get together with any sim with whatever traits
use the #aestheticsims4challenge tag if you decide to play this challenge, i'd love to see what other people do with it :)
generation #1: witchcore
growing up you always loved to read about magical worlds and fantastic realms, so you used to stay away from other people and with the company of your beloved books and a cat. but when visiting a mysterious town you meet an strange man who claims to be a spellcaster, you witness all of your dreams come true and beg him to teach how to become one.

Namar [COTL Oc]
Tumblr media
Here she is! My beloved otter <3 Backstory below-
TW: mention of amputation
Namar, entered this world through a unique creation, rather than traditional birth. Her fathers, skilled spellworkers, labored diligently under the bishop of knowledge and war to develop a method of bringing life into existence without the need for a living host. Their dedicated experiments eventually yielded success, and Namar was the result—an adorable, wide-eyed girl with wild, fluffy hair.
These well-documented and fruitful experiments were presented to Shamura, who, in return, granted the spellworkers their deepest desires. They were allowed to leave Shamura's court and were bestowed a cozy home in a tranquil village nestled deep within Silk Cradle. In this idyllic setting, Namar thrived.
She was adored by her fathers and beloved by the tight-knit village community. Namar often trailed behind her fathers, seeking attention and curiosity. Her fascination with cooking was sparked early, as she watched one or the other prepare daily meals with keen interest. By the time she could peer over the cooking pots, she was already crafting her own dishes—much to her parents' concern, as they fretted about her getting cut or burned. However, Namar displayed remarkable proficiency with her culinary tools, creating generous meals that nearly overflowed their pots. On days when her fathers couldn't finish her culinary creations, she shared her bounty with neighbors, friends, and the occasional patrolling soldiers of Shamura's domain.
As Namar matured, she earned the esteemed title of the village chef, a role she held close to her heart. Her culinary skills were a source of pride, and she never let anyone forget it.
Namar was given the privilege of feeding one of the loyal guards of Shamura’s domain, a spellcaster that worked with curses, a large segmented beast that had simply stopped in the very area her village was in and demanded food from those that resided within. It was not as if she could deny them anything- yet she was always eager to cook for anyone who'd ask.
Seizing an opportunity to rid themselves of the menacing guard, someone in the village poisoned Namar's dish without her knowledge. The assassination attempt failed miserably and was met with ridicule. For her perceived complicity in the poisoning plot, despite her vehement denials of involvement, Namar was cursed. All food she makes would burn- any creation she attempts would explode into fire, crumble into ash.
To many it seemed like a meek punishment, to Namar it felt like the end of the world. Her passion, her sole purpose in the world had been stripped from her. At first she tried to deny it, ignore it, and yet the next day she nearly burned down the kitchen simply trying to cut apart some meat.
She went to her fathers to help, experienced in magic as they are, only for the spell to lash out back at them. One of her father’s got burnt horrifically, and despite their attempts to treat it, necrosis set in far too fast and his arms had to be amputated.
Namar abandoned cooking, she became meek and quiet and nearly shut in despite her father’s always being there for her. Never blaming her for what happened and supporting her every day- yet she could hardly stop herself. Many years passed and she decided to try again, one more time, and yet it once again slipped away from her. The flames seemed almost angry, they grew to dangerous size, and she could not stop it as a rogue flame lashed across her face and claimed her eye.
Frozen in agony as the burn began to blister. All she could do was crawl out of the kitchen and listen to the fire roar and crack the wooden supports of houses.
By the time the flames had finished Namar was found in a corner of the village, pressed against a stone, covered in soot. They all knew she had done it- on purpose or not, and though her fathers had lived several others had not. The village leader called for soldiers, and Namar was dragged away while begging for them to listen to her, it had been an accident she swears and she’s sorry.
Namar was set to be sacrificed, only to be rescued by the Lamb and given a new meek life within their cult. Though safe, she's simply not who she once was.

This is how I’ve been building Shadowheart in my past few playthroughs! Unfortunately, this build is not very thematic for a Cleric of Shar – but it does do a lot of the legwork in Act 2. This build is particularly thematic for a Cleric of Lathander, Corellon Larethian, Eilistraee, and Helm, who are all Light Domain deities… and, due to this build’s effectiveness in Act 2, possibly Selûne. 💡✨
The goal of this Light Domain Cleric is to deal Radiant Damage and apply the Radiating Orb condition to anything that dares to enter Shadowheart’s general vicinity. The undead fear her; shadows evaporate in her presence. It is glorious. I now refuse to play Act 2 without my beloved Radiating Orb Beyblade of Death (Shadowheart). 😁
The focus for this guide is on ability scores and gear interaction. Some of this gear includes the Luminous Armor (Act 1), the Blood of Lathander (Act 1), and Luminous Gloves (Act 2).
This Light Domain Cleric build is phenomenal in Act 2, but still does enough damage output to carry its weight in Acts 1 and 3. Light Domain’s special Channel Divinity action, Radiance of the Dawn, is excellent when dealing with clusters of Invisible enemies (such as Duergar, Shadow Creatures, and Bhaalists).
(Fair warning: Possible spoilers ahead!)
Leveling
Please note that this guide is really just my personal preference! I recommend fully reading through the Wiki page on BG3’s Cleric so you get a good idea of what this class can do. In this guide, I’ve added a star (⭐) next to each of the class features or spells that I especially like.
To start with, I’ll recommend these base stats:
Tumblr media
In the early game (Act 1), it’s a good idea to keep Shadowheart’s Wisdom and Dexterity Ability Scores up. Wisdom affects Shadowheart’s spellcasting effectiveness, while Dexterity affects her Armor Class (AC) and Initiative in combat.
But the most important score for this build (after Wisdom) is Constitution. The first feat I recommend addresses this (Resilient), as do my preferred boots on her (Boots of Striding).
The Cleric class has prepared spells, so I’ll just make a note of the feats I take in this section!
Level 4
Feat: Resilient = Constitution
By taking the Resilient Feat, Shadowheart gains +1 to her Constitution Ability Score as well as proficiency in Constitution Saving Throws. This will help her maintain Concentration spells such as Spirit Guardians.
Level 8
Feat: Ability Score (ASI) = +2 WIS
Level 12
Feat: Ability Score (ASI) = +2 WIS
Honor Mode
The above is a pretty good set-up for the Explorer, Balanced, and Tactician difficulties. However, if you’d like to make Tactician mode easier on yourself or you’re planning on taking her to Honor Mode, I’d recommend the following set-up instead:
Tumblr media
Level 4
Feat: Ability Score (ASI) = +1 CON, +1 WIS
Level 8
Feat: Alert ⭐
Level 12
Feat: Ability Score (ASI) = +2 WIS, or
Feat: War Caster (Advantage on Constitution Saving Throws to maintain Concentration)
In Honor Mode, having high Initiative can make a huge difference, especially when fights get more intense – hence the Alert Feat at Level 8!
Final Composition
By Level 12, Shadowheart can have the following notable qualities:
Tumblr media
Due to Light Domain, Shadowheart will have:
Warding Flare (Level 1) – As Shadowheart levels up, she’ll eventually have Improved Warding Flare (Level 6), which allows her to use a Reaction to impose Disadvantage on an Attack Roll against either herself or an ally.
Potent Spellcasting (Level 8) – Add your Wisdom Modifier to the Damage of your Cleric Cantrips.
Access to select non-Cleric spells – Flaming Sphere, Scorching Ray, Fireball, Wall of Fire, and Destructive Wave.
Recommended Spells List
The following list are the Cleric spells I tend to favor. Because Light Domain Clerics have a lot of great offensive spells (hello, Fireball and Flame Strike!), I usually have Shadowheart running offensive rather than defensive (healing, buffs). She’s like a fake Evocation Wizard, haha.
Tumblr media
Basically, I tend to favor (usually AOE) spells that deal some amount of Radiant Damage. While Sacred Flame is notoriously easy for enemies to Save on, its Damage does eventually scale with your Cleric level, making it comparable to a Guiding Bolt by Level 8.
A good Fireball every once in a while doesn’t hurt, either. 🤭
Gear
The goal of this gear selection is to broadcast Radiant Damage (and therefore Radiating Orbs) to as wide a range of enemies as possible. To do this, I favor Radiance of the Dawn, which is the Channel Divinity action specific to Light Domain Clerics. Notably, like Spirit Guardians, Radiance of the Dawn only harms hostile creatures and will not damage (or inflict Radiating Orbs upon) your allies.
Spirit Guardians is also a very reliable source of mass Radiant Damage. Spirit Guardians requires Concentration to maintain, hence this guide’s emphasis on bolstering Constitution Saving Throws.
ℹ️ "But why the emphasis on Radiating Orbs?" you may be wondering. Radiating Orb inflicts a -1 to Attack Rolls on the affected entity (not bad!!), and causes them to emit Light. The Light is great when you're in a dark environment but someone on your team (eg. Human, Githyanki, etc.) doesn't have Darkvision.
Headwear: Holy Lance Helm
Smite the Graceless: Creatures that miss Attack Rolls against the wearer must make a DC14 Dexterity Saving Throw or take 1d4 Radiant Damage.
+1 to Constitution Saving Throws.
Armor: Luminous Armor
Radiating Shockwave: Whenever the wearer deals Radiant Damage, they cause a Radiant Shockwave (inflict Radiating Orb in a 3m/10ft radius).
Cloak: Vivacious Cloak
Arcane Vivaciousness: Gain 8 temporary HP for four turns after casting a spell while in melee.
In order to cast Spirit Guardians to full effect, Shadowheart will be in melee. Alternatively, the Cloak of the Weave is powerful on any caster.
Handwear: Luminous Gloves
Radiating Orb Gloves: When the wearer deals Radiant Damage, the target receives one turn of Radiating Orb.
+1 to Strength Saving Throws
Footwear: Boots of Striding
Focused Stride: When you cast a spell that requires Concentration, you gain Momentum for one turn. While Concentrating, you cannot be pushed or knocked Prone.
Shadowheart will often be Concentrating if your combat priority is casting Spirit Guardians.
Amulet: Amulet of the Devout
High Spellcasting: +2 to Spell Save DC.
Godswill: One additional use of Channel Divinity per Long Rest.
An additional use of Channel Divinity gives Shadowheart an extra charge of Radiance of the Dawn.
Ring A: Coruscation Ring
Arcane Radiance: When the wearer deals spell damage while illuminated by a light source, they inflict Radiating Orb on the target for two turns.
If Shadowheart is carrying the Blood of Lathander, she will always be illuminated.
Ring B: Callous Glow Ring
Callous Glow: Deal an additional 2 points of Radiant Damage against illuminated creatures
If Shadowheart is carrying the Blood of Lathander, all creatures near her will be illuminated.
Melee Main Hand: The Blood of Lathander
Lathander’s Blessing: Once per Long Rest, when your HP is reduced to 0, you regain 2d6 HP. Allies within 9m / 30ft also regain 1d6 HP.
Lathander’s Light: Sheds holy light within a 6m / 20ft radius. Fiends and undead in this light are blinded if they fail a DC14 Constitution Saving Throw.
Sunbeam (Level 6): Cast for one turn once per Long Rest.
Because the Blood of Lathander as a mace does relatively low damage, Shadowheart should be carrying it as a passive buffer/debuffer rather than as a melee weapon. Sunbeam is nothing to sniff at, either.
Alternatively, you could try The Sacred Star or the Moonlight Glaive.
Melee Off Hand: Shield of Devotion
Additional Spell Slot: Gain an additional Level 1 spell slot.
Shield Bash: Use a Reaction to possibly knock an enemy Prone.
Shield of Devotion: Aid: Cast a Level 3 Aid once per Long Rest.
+2 to AC.
This is a great shield on any Cleric! An additional Level 1 spell slot essentially gives you an extra low-level (but potentially clutch) Healing Word or Guiding Bolt.
Alternatively, you may want to use Ketheric’s Shield (great for casters in general) or Viconia’s Walking Fortress (great in general).
Ranged Main Hand: Bow of the Banshee
Blood-Curdling Emission: On a hit, possibly inflict Frightened. Gain a +1d4 bonus to Attack and Damage Rolls against Frightened creatures.
While Shadowheart may rarely, if ever, use a bow instead of a spell attack, the Bow of the Banshee is a really excellent clutch weapon. Since it’s just a shortbow, it may not be extremely useful on your more dedicated archers (who may prefer heavy crossbows, longbows, or hand crossbows); as such, it’s good to have on a character who’ll only be using their Ranged Weapon situationally.
A nice Sharran bow for Shadowheart is also the Least Expected, which is especially great on a stealth-based team.
Ranged Off Hand: N/A
Number Crunching
The following table should give you an idea of how Shadowheart performs on the battlefield as a result of her gear synergy. This table assumes that Shadowheart is Level 12.
Tumblr media
She’ll also have up to 7 charges of Radiance of the Dawn per Long Rest. (2 at the start of the day, 2 after each Short Rest (for 4 more), plus 1 from the Amulet of the Devout.)
While it’s difficult to say how much DPR Shadowheart can consistently dole out, this is a very effective build for debuffing your enemies and reliably picking off any stragglers.
Conclusion
A Light Domain Cleric is a great option for an offensive Cleric, but at the end of the day, she’s still a Cleric and will perform best as a complement to your team, rather than as its star player. By debuffing enemies, Shadowheart sets your high DPR characters (like Fighter Lae’zel 😎) up for success on the battlefield.
This build also works pretty well for any Cleric, but works especially well on a Light Cleric! You may have noticed that I mentioned Radiance of the Dawn one billion times throughout this guide… but it really is very good, haha.
If you feel that this build has too many Radiating Orbs (😂), good gear items that are still synergetic with a Light Cleric include:
Boots of Stormy Clamor, Gloves of Belligerent Skies, and/or Spineshudder Amulet with the Thunderskin Cloak
Boots of Speed, Haste Helm, and/or Crusher’s Ring for battlefield mobility (if you favor Spirit Guardians)
Additionally, you can find an alternative r/BG3Builds guide to Radiating Orb stacking here.
Thanks for reading, and hope this gave you some ideas for your Cleric or Radiant Damage builds! :)
