Thanks @lunaris1013 for this beautiful tag
Im not great at getting into character but I took a stab at what I think his posts would be like
Am I (35m) the asshole for leaving VERY IMPORTANT organs on my partner’s (36m) side of the lab? Okay, for context, I’m a xenobiologist, he’s a mathematician, (can I make it any more obvious?) and we’re trying to figure out how to stop the apocalypse but I can’t do that if I gotta keep 15 million metric tons of kaiju bits and pieces contained to HALF of a lab! All he needs is that massive ass chalk board which I don’t even mess with! Most of the time… Anyway, he keeps whining about it so I’d love to hear what someone who doesn’t have a stick up their ass thinks.

is ur 911 spy au based on totally spies bc i think it should be
believe it or not i actually havent seen the big names in the spy genre but i believe in their beliefs as it were. so no its not based on totally spies its just a cocktail of my favorite tropes and situations mixed in with what i think spy aus should look like <3 HOWEVER i am open to suggestion so if you'd like to elaborate on totally spies i could be convinced to add some elements to it...

ren and bigb are the first to fall to red. It happens in the middle of battle. Their jaeger, a big and stocky thing they call the Box, has been called out to help Midcentury Modern House (codenamed Mid-Cent) fight a kaiju with too many legs and too little weaknesses.
Box has few weaknesses, too, except for a little chink beneath the chin of its thick square head. Most kaiju don't have limbs small enough to reach down there and, even if they do, they aren't dexterous enough, aren't able to wrap around and find just the right spot. but. well. this kaiju has so many legs.
Bdubs and Impulse wrap the kaiju up in both of Mid-Cent's arms, then they swing, and midair it twists and lands directly on top of Box and goes for every little chink in the armour it can find. A leg gets stuck under Box's chin, scrabbles, breaks through intro the cockpit and hits BigB's arm. It's not a lethal wound, but it's a damning one, because then something goes wrong.
Soulmates can feel each other's pain, both through the soulbind and through the drift. Most of the time it's little twinges, aches and pains that bounce between them and then fade away entirely. Sometimes it's a big pain- but big pains only happen when a kaiju breaks through the cockpit, and very very few people have survived that event. More specifically- the lucky few who survived a kaiju attack breaking through the cockpit weren't drifting with their soulbound at the time. There is no pair that has ever survived to report the effects of severe pain looped through both the soulbind and the drift at once. Not until now.
The report is given secondhand from the Box's supervisors, and amounts to this: the effects of a soulbonded pair drifitng while receiving severe physical damage is very, very bad.
Afterwards, the lab boys theorize that it's a loop- ranger one receives the pain, adrenaline fires, and both the pain and the adrenaline bounces to ranger two. Ranger two's system is shocked by the dramatic input from both soulbind and neural handshake, so it responds to the pain response with another pain response. More adrenaline, more shock flies through the bond and the handshake to return to ranger one, which compounds upon the shock and pain that is already there before bouncing back to ranger two. And then it loops again. And again. And- really, really, the rangers should be dead. Their hearts should give out. Their jaegers should stop working on the spot.
The rangers go mad instead.
Box grabs one half of the kaiju, the Mid-Cent grabs the other, and they tear it in half. It's a victory, it should be a victory, it should be done. They should return to the Shatterdome, turn their jaegers in for repairs and their rangers in for beers, and they should be done.
Instead, Box turns and strikes Mid-Cent across the side. It's happening too quickly for Bdubs and Impulse to comprehend- Box fires the jets in its back and slams into the Mid-Cent, dragging the both of them down into the ocean. There's shouting in everyone's ears, confusion and terror, and Box is sturdy, it's one of the most fortified jaegers in the program, built like a tank so that, even if it doesn't have the firepower to kill a too-powerful kaiju, it has the ability to stand its ground and act like a mobile wall. Box is sturdy, and Box is heavy, and now all of that weight is being pressed down on the head of the Midcentury Modern House.
Ren and Bigb run, afterwards, and it only get worse from there.

It feels like there's been this very particular subset of the Pacific Rim fandom who were into it specifically for how its central conceit blurs the line between intimacy and codependency, but felt constrained by the fundamental optimism of the source material – like no matter how fucked up they made it, there was something basic and structural embedded in it that meant it could never be fucked up enough.
And then Armored Core VI came along.
