In a system that values freedom, it would be expected that people would value living over working.

no, not like that. if anything, High Infidelity brought me BACK to fenro. I still love the ship dearly, but while I am finding time to finish HI, I just feel like that the others are just? There? and as if I can't quite do them justice.

Plus, theres the fact that I have a lot of other wips I want to finish. It honestly, also has to do with the readers response and other factors. When I join new fandoms and link to posts there's usually people like, "you've written fic...for ducktales???" and i laugh it off, it was a big part of who i was as a writer and really shaped my style today. but like.

there's also not really a fandom for it and while I still love writing for them, I'm just not sure about the future of them since the reader engagement is pretty nonexistent.

and I kow you should write for yourself and all that but like? if im devoting time to something its nice to get a little recognition for it. writers survive off of kudos and review, and its almost not worth it at all when you put time and effort into one and it just gets,,, nothing??? i guess.

More media leaks and believe it or not the original plans for Ducktales 2017. Yes, the original plan was for Ducktales to be based more on the Carl Barks and Don Rosa comics, with Donald Duck and Scrooge McDuck as the main characters. Especially the last poster by Joe Pitt, who was also one of the animators for Gravity Falls, Wander Over Yonder and Mickey Mouse Cartoons. These are designs from other animators, but there are more links to the OG Ducktales and the comics than to Ducktales 2017. Yes, Disney later rejected the ideas from Joe Pitt and then gave them to other people.

What do you think about all this? These are the original designs for Donald, Scrooge, Huey, Dewey and Louie, Webby, Miss Quackfaster, Gyro and Gizmoduck.

Still as a fan of the Donald Duck comics, I regret that they didn't adopt the original ideas for the Ducktales reboot to be more close to the comic book material, but again this is just my opinion.

Hi! So, I'm a bit of a Tumblr lurker, but you seemed like the right person to ask.

I have this fanfic I've been working on for months and my opinion on that sucker rapidly flips from my magnum opus to an absolute dumpster fire and then back again. A few people have told me I should post it on AO3 when it's finished, but it's for a relatively small fandom and isn't the usual genre present in said fandom. If anything, it may be the first of its kind there.

I want to publish it but I'm hesitant, since I'm not sure if the characters actually reflect their canon counterparts and I don't know how well I wrote the angst for it either. I guess I'm worried that someone's gonna hate it and be mean about it, since I've had that happen before and took it pretty poorly. What do you think I should do? Sorry for the long ask, by the way.

dude, my best advice is write what you wanna write. that’s the beauty of fanfiction! someone will always be unhappy about what your doing, be it what your wearing, doing, or even writing. but on the flips side, there will always be people who like it, too!

i think you should post it, just to see. express that you’re open to constructive criticism, if you are. who knows, there might be someone in that little fandom that’s been hoping for something like your story to come along! and if someone gives you shit for it don’t let it bother you.

please never stop writing because a few people don’t like it, because a ton of people probably will❤️
