i think its worth noting we all forget imposter syndrome exists

it hardly gets talked about enough

so for those going through imposter syndrom:

you arent faking

you are enough

you are disabled enough, you are ill enough

you are nd/disabled/autistic/mentally ill

you do have that disorder/disability

you arent just faking it for attention

the only people who do that, consciously do that, the fact that youre worrying about faking it in itself proves you arent.

you CAN have that aid youre thinking about it wont be taking resources from anyone if you do

if you think it'll make your life/tasks easier to any degree for any reason do it/get it.

its not "perfectionism" its imposter syndrome, your thoughts are just that and while your concerns are valid, you dont need to worry

youre not a horrible person youre just struggling and thats okay

youre not lazy youre going through a lot and its weighing on you making you tired and lack what energy and motive you need to get it done.

youre not a slob youre just having trouble getting yourself out of a bad time and cant bring yourself to handle other things right now

its okay to take time to yourself, youre not a bad friend

My deepes apologies to @anirlcryptid99, @bwans-art, @homosexualhomestuck, @pacicidal, @nix-tea, @anyth1ng772 and @mr-playlist for the false adveritising. You were tricked! This blog is normally not about Soundwave in places, but about screenshots tiny transformers faces. However, stick around, because this doesn't have to be the end of Soundwave locations.

I came up with this idea on a whim after a discord server I'm in renamed itself to "League of Legends Central" and I realised I hadn't done anything for April fools. I wanted it to be something fun and not upsetting, but in the end the concept ended up being too good to just throw away.

That's why soundwave-location will soon get its own dedicated sideblog! I'm not sure how soon, but I'll announce it here when it's up, and until then this blog will continue accepting Soundwave location reports!

Not a silly question at all! Not a silly question at all!!

I want to do a quick disclaimer I’m not the ceo of coswave (or am I 🤨) so everything I say is how I interpret coswave. I pull a lot from canon as well as my own hcs and stuff so it’s up to you whether you like how I interpret them!!

Soundwave and Cosmos’s dynamic from the beginning has always been about constantly learning and growing. These are two mechs who have very little experience with normal and healthy relationships (soundwave having significantly less experience than cosmos) so they end up building off of what they learn together.

They’re both very firm with their beliefs. Cosmos will never be a decepticon just like how Soundwave will never be an autobot. They compliment eachother very nicely with how they act and react to things, so where one mech struggles the other can be a pillar to lean on (for example soundwave struggles greatly with interpersonal relationships, so cosmos helps him with proper and polite interaction as well as trust building. Cosmos struggles with standing up for himself and putting his own comfort and safety first, so Soundwave helps him figure out how to say no when someone wants him to do something out of his comfort zone).

Soundwave’s idea of love stems from his understanding of loyalty which is incredibly unbalanced and unhealthy (ie complete devotion and submission). Cosmos’ idea of love is much more balanced but he tends to see love as something that is conditional (ie love that will only be given if you do something for them first). A massive part of their relationship is getting past these preestablished ideas of what love is meant to be and understanding how to treat their partner as an equal and treat love as unconditional.

Cosmos is not intimidated by soundwave one bit. He’s respectful of the fact that it’s Soundwave’s station that he’s on, but if he needs to challenge something soundwave says or does, he absolutely will. Cosmos may be nervous and has trouble standing up for himself, he is not shy about standing up for his morals or for other people. Soundwave is still a decepticon—he has selfish tendencies and nasty habits , but he won’t ever get too far in his malicious scheming if Cosmos has anything to say about that. Cosmos is always challenging Soundwave’s views and behaviors, and Soundwave honestly finds it exciting. Not many people can do that with the confidence and spunk that Cosmos can (and get away with it the way Cosmos can).

Soundwave has a whole decepticon space station to run and is notorious for Not Taking Care of Himself so fueling tends to be in the hands of Cosmos and TRUST Cosmos takes it very seriously. Due to energon shortages that effected the decepticons so bad during the war, Soundwave didn’t really fuel as much as he needed to (oftentimes giving his rations to his cassettes) so Cosmos was quick to rectify that and get him up to a healthy size. Cosmos keeps soundwave (and the cassettes) fueled and healthy.

Soundwave tends to express his love for his partner physically. He likes to have a hand on Cosmos’ plating whenever he is within reach, even if just for a second. He’s not good with his words (the irony of the communications officer who sucks at communicating) so he likes to show that he loves and trusts cosmos by touching him and letting him touch in return (this one is very important. Soundwave likes when Cosmos returns his physical affections the same way you say “I love you” back when a loved one says it to you). Cosmos, on the other hand, likes to express his love verbally. He doesn’t mind physical affection (he loves it) but he likes hearing it out loud. He praises soundwave and expresses how much he loves him on a regular basis, and though Soundwave struggles to return the affection verbally, he makes sure he holds cosmos extra tight or presses his mask against Cosmos’ own a little longer when Cosmos says I love you.

aspd terms

so i want to talk about something

i know we have favourite person for bpd and chosen person for npd, the person or people who are the object of our obsession and we view as equal to ourselves respectively (not the *best* description but the basic idea in a short go)

i dont know if theres already terms like that for aspd but id like to give it a go because its heavily impacting my relationships with this "social circle" i have.

i think as a person with antisocial personality disorder, i find it hard and even scary to talk to anyone outside this sphere i have, ranging from having extremely low to no empathy towards people outside the sphere and feeling almost hyperempathy to people further into the sphere. theres certain people i keep in it, people who are both my fp's and cp's, and anyone else i struggle to talk to or otherwise avoid mainly out of discomfort.

i propose we have a term for people we prefer to talk to, a term better than just "social circle". like contact person or interactive person,

a person or people you feel most comfortable conversing with, most of your interactions with people happen with them if any and anyone outside them seems discomforting, bland, dull and/or possibly even scary.

talking to people outside my interactive person/people can cause me terrible anxiety and when something feels off about my conversations with my ip i tend to isolate myself because my brain thinks thats how things will fix.

this is of course heavily co-morbid with my bpd and npd but i feel aspd should have a term as well, because this part i experience very frequently with such a shifting social circle.

this post is less to coin the term(s) more so to open the discussion on the topic so please feel free to add on if you have aspd

My mostly finished MK rement collection as promised. The ones I'm missing is the ugly tree one that I hate and the super rare eraser one. Other than that, I'm pretty satisfied. Also right behind the terrarium figure at the front is the bakery one with Gooey and Kirby.

So, I decided to go ahead and reveal/talk about a few more of the main characters for my Fan Continuity, with the two humans included.

Andie Gray: She/Her/Herself, He/Him/Himself:

A human who, while on a walk to get to her college, stumbled across a few of the Decepticons and Autobots in the middle of a battle. Despite trying to ignore what was happening, and just get to college, he still gets roped into everything.

After a more proper introduction, she’s stuck with Wheeljack as a guardian. And although Andie is much more focused on his personal life, the human still sticks around the Autobots, while also deciding to try and help Wheeljack with his search.

“Raven” (Real Name Unknown): Any Pronouns:

A somewhat younger human who, while in the middle of running around, bumped straight into a deceased Cybertronian and Censere, who hadn’t expected this—neither of them did.

After an introduction, with the human giving anything but its real name, the decision to stick with each-other is made... but, Raven keeps a tiny secret—that others are looking for her—that he’s running—from Censere, and doesn’t plan on telling them.

Mirage: He/Him/Himself, They/Them/Themself, She/Her/Herself:

An outlier with the ability to turn invisible, as well as creating holograms of anything. While he may be an Autobot now, back on Cybertron—before they all arrived to their new home—Mirage had originally started out as a Decepticon.

Despite what side the outlier is on now, they know of a few Autobots who... don’t trust her, think of her as a spy—which doesn’t help when the outlier can come off as a little suspicious. Mirage is rather tired of all this, though.

Starscream: No Pronouns:

A Decepticon who, originally, was the Second in Command, even after everyone arrived on the new planet. However, when Megatron suddenly goes missing—no Autobot or Decepticon being able to find him—much to the disappointment from other ‘Cons, the Seeker becomes the new leader.

Starscream will make sure it all stays this way.

Ambulon: They/Them/Themself:

The only remaining Cybertronian medic on Earth... due to Ratchet being missing, First Aid’s death back on Cybertron, and Pharma.. they don’t talk about Pharma.

Originally a Decepticon before joining the Autobots shortly before the arrival on Earth, they discover that they’re treated far better than how some treat Mirage.

Shortly after their switch to the Autobots, Ambulon suffered horrible damage, which still affects them, but they remain a medic, helping their fellow Autobots.

Soundwave: They/Them/Themself, It/It’s/Itself:

Originally the Third in Command, they became the new Second in Command when Megatron suddenly went missing, and Starscream became the new leader... which is a rather unfortunate thing.

They’ve noticed certain things—like how several Cybertronians have started to just disappear. Ratchet, Megatron... all of its minicons. Deciding to get to the bottom of this, Soundwave starts digging—wanting to find its real leader and minicons.

Thundercracker: He/Him/Himself (FtM):

After Megatron disappeared, making Starscream the new leader, and Soundwave the new SiC, Thundercracker found himself in the position of the new TiC. Although, many of the Decepticons start noticing how strange Thundercracker has been since arriving to Earth.

Sure, they all know a few things about him—such as when he created a film once, a few months after everyone’s arrival. But, there’s two little things that he keeps sneaking away for... two friendships that he doesn’t want to be found out—for fear for what could happen. Not to him, but them.

Starscream being leader of Cybertron and him and Soundwave coming to an agreement where Soundwave becomes the main 'figure head' for the Decepticons, and Starscream is fine with that because he is a Decepticon at heart. The two of them actually become very close and have a very close , platonic friendship and they lean into each other.

Soundwave is forever bitter and betrayed by Megatron and tells Starscream he will never forgive what Megatron has done. Starscream is like that for all of 2 seconds until he gets stranded in space one day and the Lost Light has to come and save him, and it's Megatron who specifically saves him multiple times. Through being stranded, through being held for ransom, and accidentally eating poison- Megatron is the reason he is still alive. Anyway, he falls in love with him during those months like--for the first time.

He goes back to Soundwave and is trying to lie about what happened. Long story short, Soundwave and Starscream fall out, and it almost causes another war between factions since Starscream publicly gets with Megatron.

And idk what happens. The only ending i have for this au is that Soundwave kills both Megatron and Starscream together. Soundwave kills Megatron first and Starscream who is filled with anger almost kills Soundwave, but Soundwave ends up killing him.

Another part of this AU is that they survived but were put into stasis. They had a daughter who actually keeps their bodies preserved until they wake up and currently she is leading the war against soundwave.
