a/n: both of these asks were similar so i just decided to make it into one! these requests r so sweet. thank u anon🥹🥹. also I AGREE SUPER SHY BY NEW JEANS IS SO ADDICTIVE AND THE CHOREO IS SO CUTE!!

sitting with your friends at lunch, you peeked over your shoulder to take a look at the cute boy standing with his friends. nobody knew how badly the girl wanted to make a move and claim him as hers, but there was no way of that happening.

you were fairly new to brooklyn and visions academy. you’ve been there for a couple months and settled in fine. on your first day of school, some girl approached you and invited you to sit with her and her friends at lunch. you weren’t the most outgoing person, so you were glad that someone reached out before you had to.

“so y/n, do you think anyone is cute at this school?” one of your friends, layla, asked you.

that snapped you from your thoughts, turning your head to look at your friends staring at you expectantly. you opened your mouth to say something before closing it again. you were way too scared for it to get out, not that you didn’t trust your friends, you just didn’t want anyone to overhear or constantly be teased by it. shaking your head ‘no’ your friends just went back to the conversation they were having.

you sighed, looking over your shoulder once more before going back to eating your lunch. the rest of lunch zoomed by and you went to your next class. you had biology with miles, being one of the two classes you had with him. you sat three rows behind him, most classes staring at the back of his head. he’s never turned around or noticed, you’re pretty sure he doesn’t even know you exist.

sitting in class, you just listened to the teacher explain the direction for a project she was assigning. it was a partner project that she would be assigning. hearing her call out names, your head snapped when you heard your name being followed by miles’ name. you couldn’t believe it. this was gonna be so bad because he made you nervous, you just imagine the whole thing being awkward. you starting shuffling the stuff on your desk, making space for miles who was walking over. he pulls up a chair and slides it across from you, the desk being in between you guys. you didn’t want to make eye-contact so you just played with your hands and bit your lips. miles raised a brow at your behavior thinking it was cute, while your thoughts were going crazy thinking you bombed your only opportunity.

“i’m miles morales, you’re y/n right?” he asked trying to break the silence. you nodded in response and he gave you a grin before continuing, “so for the project, i was thinking we do the botany and ecology unit since the molecular biology unit is really long and i don’t really wanna do the genetics part.”

you blessed miles in your mind, thanking him for starting the conversation easily. “uh, yeah i would be fine with that,” you responded. giving you a glanced, he responded “okay, cool” before turning to write in his notebook.

“i’m not doing anything after school so we could meet in the library, can’t go to my dorm since my roommate is a pretty loud gamer,” he said. you simply nodded. the bell rang signifying that class was over.

the school day passed and all you could think of is how you were gonna talk to miles after school without sounding stupid. now, you were naturally shy, but that didn’t mean you couldn’t have conversations or lots of friends. it was only miles who made you really nervous and you didn’t want to embarrass yourself in front of him or stumble over your friends.

walking over to the library, you had two paper cups in hand containing hot chocolate. you had wanted one and decided to get one for miles too (also maybe trying to win yourself some brownie points to make him like you a little bit). walking into the library, you look over, already seeing miles at a table with books spread out around him. walking up and stopping in front of him, you gave him a smile.

“i stopped by a cafe before coming here… i hope you like hot chocolate,” you said, trying to sound as calm as possible. miles looking up at you, gave you a grateful smile before grabbing the cup out of your hands.

“thanks, make yourself at home since we gotta work on this shih.”

you followed by sitting down and started taking your books and notebooks out. after being spread out, miles gave you a piece of scratch paper with a draft of what he kinda wants to do for the project. reading over it, you deemed everything good and nodded at him. you both discussed where to begin and he shared a powerpoint with you.

an hour passed and you start to feel more confident in your abilities to talk to miles. discussing work and occasional small talk has slightly taken away your nervousness of talking to the pretty boy.

“i feel like we should put more detail and description on the photosynthesis pa-” you began.

“can you say that again?”

“that we should put more detail on this part?”

“no, say photosynthesis.”

“photosynthesis?”

“the way you say that is cute, ma,” he grinned.

your head literally malfunctioned at that moment. there was no way the boy that you have been pining over for the past month just called you cute. you simply nodded, not knowing how to respond when miles kept on pushing.

“you know, i catch you staring at me a lot,” he smugly said, resting his chin on his hand.

“i don’t know- i mean, sorry?”

“nah, i think it’s cute. i think your cute in general.”

you felt your face flush and looked to the side, scratching your neck. “thanks miles,” you tried to sound appreciative, but accepting compliments was so hard and weird for you. you didn’t want to come off as stuck up, but also didn’t want to come off as ungrateful either. thankfully, your shyness didn’t back miles off.

“you wanna go out with me sometime? we could go to that cafe you went to earlier. whatever is comfortable for you.”

miles saying that immediately brought you out of your shell. “wait, really?” you asked with a shocked look on your face. miles leaned back in his seat, nodding, “of course, hermosa.” you nodded fast, a big smile on your face. who was going to say no to a date with miles morales?

you both forgot existence of the project in that moment and kept on talking.

the next day at lunch, you were sitting with your friends talking. miles walked by your table and you gave him a small wave, he waved back following a grin before continuing to catch up with his friends. your friends looked at you in shock.

“uhm mrs. super shy? wanna tell us what that was about?” your friend asked.

“give us all the deets. you just got the school’s pretty boy attention.” your other friend asked. you sighed knowing that even after you explain, the questions and hype from your friends will be never ending.

brozone hcs because the brainrot is real and i love them all so much mwah mwah (except they’re mostly about john dory because i just love him so much 😖)

john dory 100% calls the toilet a shitter (every time i think of this i giggle)

john dory is dyslexic and struggled to write songs for the band when he was younger and he didn’t stop until he finally had them down

they have karaoke parties at bruce & sons when it’s closed for the evening and it’s just the brothers

branch hates it when they fight

floyd & jd move to pop village, floyd moves into the bunker with branch and john dory stays in rhonda but is always near the bunker & he spends the night there sometimes

branch is closest to jd & floyd

branch’s second favourite brother is john dory but he refuses to admit it

bruce can rap

john dory has 100% definitely been arrested before

john dory knows the rasputin dance and will most definitely put on a show when it’s put on at parties

bruce listens to 50 dad music

john dory is lowkey scared of ghosts and hates it when branch tells ghost stories in the bunker when it’s dark in there

john dory is the father (figure) branch never had & he hates to admit it

the bros are feminists

for the first like 6 months on branch’s life jd was his favourite and he would only stop crying if he was in his hair/ if he was holding him

clay reads before he goes to bed and won’t until he’s read at least 50 pages

bruce is the type of guy to tell everyone they can’t eat their food until he’s taken pictures of it if they’re at a restaurant that isn’t his. it always ends in bruce scolding them as they all get tired of waiting and start eating

clay has an insane amount of sweater rompers

floyd subconsciously sings to himself when he’s anxious- it’s something he picked up when in the diamond while velvet & veneer had him captive

the goggles & glove are a comfort thing for jd

clay can beatbox but he doesn’t like doing it because “it’s not serious”

john dory and branch are always in sync one way or another and they don’t even realise it half the time

jd really wants kids but is worried he’ll mess that family up just like he messed his family up when brozone broke up

Hey!! Same anon that asked if we could write our affs instead of saying/thinking them. IDK if you've already answered my first ask or not lol. So, I just wanted to share two almost void success stories with you, to motivate myself and potentially others ahah. So let's go with the first one. At that moment, I had known about the void state for like only a few days, and I was really sceptic. But I was also like okay let me give it a try. So, I laid in a starfish position and started saying affs, but, at some point my mind started wandering to stupid thoughts and I started feeling like I was levitating and after like a few minutes I noticed it and I freaked out and I fell myself fall back on the ground, but what is xeird is that when I felt myself fall back on the ground there was also a louuud noise at the same time and it hurted really bad... 😭😣😔

Anyway here is the second one. This one was like four months ago I think??? Well I found out that distracting myself was an easy way to get extremely close to the void! So I put on music in my headphones, put them on my head and I laid in a starfish position, didn't move, started imagining scenarios to the song, and soon enough my mind was wandeting around lol. So after what felt like between 30seconds and 2minutes, I felt my whole body levitating and spinning, which made me panic after like a good minute of those symptoms, and I just got up. And when I tell you taht I was so dizzy that I couldn't walk straight because of how much I was spinning while attempting ugh!!!! Anyway, I hope this will be able to help someone ahah!

That's a good progress all you have to do is ignore the symptoms that's IT BUT CONGRTS BIG OR SMALL WE MUST CELEBRATE😔👍💯

I've been crying at night, before sleeping. I spent a month with my girlfriend and going back to long distance on the other side of the planet hit me harder than a truck🧸

Nope, and I don't plan on having them. I'm already struggling managing myself lol

Many when I was little: swimming, tennis, basketball... my parents wanted their children to try many things but I've always been artisty and I stuck to ballet for 5 years, then paused it for a few and came back for another 2/3 years. Then I went for theater ☺🤸

Me? No. I don't use sarcasm, I AM sarcasm. But depends on the language I'm speaking honestly (different language - different personality is a real thing lol)

As a reminder: Nat's just the fill in name for Reader in the Wealthy Steve series.

He's a later morning office goer, normally gets in around 9:45/10:00 cause he can -- he's the boss. Nat's not the boss, so he has the pleasure of watching her get ready in the morning. Sometimes he wakes up with her and gets breakfast ready for her while she showers and does her hair and makeup. Sometimes he wakes up just in time to get her goodbye kiss and a glimpse of whatever bra she's wearing. Either way, mornings with her set his whole day right.

Nat's a sore loser, Steve's a sore winner. They will always accuse each other of cheating at cards.

Steve's favorite song is Walkin' in Memphis by Marc Cohn. (He's also very partial to American Pie by Don McClean, he sings it in the shower all the time, or hums it while he dusts).

I would like to take a moment to celebrate a huge achievement. I have gone from brushing my teeth once every couple of months, to a few times a week, to now every day! my daily streak started on 18 Feb. this is the most consistent I have ever been in brushing my teeth since I was a kid.

you can see in the second graph just how much higher Feb/March has jumped vs Jan and last year (I forgot to log any info into Daylio from March to Oct 2023).

I can't believe I've managed to do this 🎉 shoutout to electric toothbrushes for making things a lot easier.

on top of that I'm finally seeing a dentist to fix all my cavities from years of neglect. I'm getting shit done 💪 (I'm so exhausted 😣)

my advice: it only takes 2 minutes to brush your teeth, that's shorter than the average song. it really helps for me to listen to music with headphones while brushing. I like to listen to loud rock/metal to try and drown out the vibrating in my skull.

(another small victory unrelated to this, I've also started going on daily walks since 5 March! I also can't believe I've managed to do this. podcasts really really help)
